#Update 3/18/24 - Added info about making art of my characters in the post!

So it's come to my attention that despite the page I have set up within the desktop version of my blog, I don't have a mobile version of an introduction post here. Oops! This one's newly written, too, in a different format than the other.

So, that being said - Hello!

I am Nikki/Niko (Whichever you prefer!) and I am a 27-year old Genderfluid artist person (My birthday is on January 9th!). I don't think there's too much to be said here, but I can and will say with confidence that this blog has been, especially in the last few or so years built up to be a catch-all for whatever I deem good to reblog or post (All of which typically related to fluff stuff, feel-good vibes or something that I may feel strongly about).

This place is, and always will be a safe space for a) People with disabilities (I am autistic, have ADD and Bipolar as well as Anxiety) and b) LGBTQ+-identifying people (I am, as mentioned before Genderfluid, and I'm Pansexual Panromantic!).

If a reblog or post makes you uncomfortable, then I will happily delete it if asked.

I make it a point to keep these posts SFW especially nowadays - however, I can't quite vouch for possibly the oldest of my posts (as I've been here since the early 2010s along with some ol' dumb teen thoughts involved and it'd take forever to sort absolutely everything out from over a decade ago at this point). I'm pretty sure that I've removed most of the NSFW stuff already from those years ago, but if I missed something then I don't mind deleting it as long as you let me know first (I'm incredibly disorganized and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction).

With these details out of the way - I am an artist that dabbles in various fandoms with no real sense of rhyme or reason outside of either hyperfixated interest or otherwise with the intent to update old ideas and refresh them into new ones. Like most artists on the internet, I ask that you do not repost without credit, trace and/or copy my work. I'm quite literally living paycheck by paycheck with my family right now. You CAN however use my artwork as a reference or as inspiration for your own work - If you do, lemme know! I'd love to see the result!

Here's a vague list of fandoms I dabble in (though my post history doesn't quite show that as I tend to leave most of my stuff to posting on Discord instead):

Pokemon (I've been a part of this one almost my entire life lol)

Sonic the Hedgehog (Another fandom I've been in for a grand majority of my life! I'm more of a casual fan as I haven't made much art recently, but I still absolutely love looking at what others come up with for OCs and stuff.)

Undertale (ESPECIALLY AU-centric)

Digimon (Passionate about this one specifically - I have a project I've been working with under this fandom since 2014 on and off)

Cookie Run (Kingdom primarily with a minor Ovenbreak focus for AU concept ideas)

Dark Cloud/Dark Chronicle (This one's SO obscure, but if you know these games then I give you a virtual baked good of your liking! These two games hold a very special place in my heart.)

Dance Dance Revolution, NotITG, Friday Night Funkin (I'm a rhythm game nerd and love the creativity of the communities surrounding these three - I just haven't been able to piece together anything for it yet visually except for FNF stuff on and off)

A Dance of Fire and Ice (Same as the DDR fandom part, but I've made a couple fanart pieces before so this one I may have an easier time of conceptualizing later)

FNAF (Specifically Security Breach AU work! This one's not as frequent as others but I still have stuff in mind for it. Security Breach is how I finally caved with the FNAF series as a whole after watching how the fandom grew over the years.)

Warriors (Warrior Cats, in our year 2024? Eeyup. I just like the funny spiritual witties!)

Team Fortress 2 (This one's in and out but it's one that I come back to a lot as my boyfriend, regularly interacting and involved in the GMOD animation community reminds me of my own TF2 stuff with his presence alone lol. Love you James! <3)

Persona 3, 4 and 5 (This one's a lil self-explanatory but I have AU ideas surrounding these games that I want to make more art for eventually)

If I have anything else not listed before, I'll add it to the list. C: Please keep in mind that although I dabble in these fandoms, AU versions of existing characters may be changed in terms of sexuality, personality etc to reflect the AU they are from (For example, I have a version of Cream Unicorn Cookie that uses he/they pronouns, and my Redeemed!Pomegranate Cookie from the same AU leans bisexual over lesbian for reasons relating to reflection of character and overall character development. I like to make characters more flexible while self-indulging, so keep this in mind). I note this because my own headcanons about certain characters have set off one or two people in the past unintentionally and they VERY much have pushed things in an effort to keep canon down my throat out of retaliation. Let's just say that this part in particular is a thing that taps a sore spot for me for personal reasons. :/

When it concerns making art of my characters - surprise or not, feel free to make art of them and mention me in post (and/or message me, either way works)! It makes me feel SO loved when I get art from others, and I appreciate every piece dearly. 💜💜💜 (I go so far as to hold onto an archive of art that was done for me - with artist names in-tact within the file name nowadays!)

A few things to consider when it concerns tickling-related matters with me:

I am a Switch! I'm unsure how far Ler or Lee I am just yet, but I do enjoy tickling both ways. Unfortunately, however, I'm the kind of person that practically flies across a room when poked,, (if it comes down to tickling my sona - Niko Spirata - tie or hold 'em down if you want to wreck 'em with tickles lol)

My interest in tickling alone is purely SFW - It feels too weird looking at IRL photos/videos with very rare exception (a lot of the exception is the giggle the lee produces from ticklish contact). As a result, all the stuff I'll be reblogging and posting here is art or animation-related instead!

My favorite tickle trope is the one where a shrunken someone or a small something wiggles under the unwitting lee's clothing to tickle them! (Points at wormonastriing's Squirmles as an example of this trope :3) No, seriously. If I end up with art of any of my characters getting destroyed with tickles in this manner I will ASCEND BEYOND GALAXIES.

My favorite spots with tickling overall are belly, side and rib tickling - on rarer occasions, I enjoy tickling in other places (I prefer foot tickling if the lee has paws instead of normal feet!). This lines up with a particular enjoyment of characters being slightly chubby! I looove a good squeeze of the sides or belly, enough to get the lee blurting out giggles.

StarkerFestivals September Shuffle

Hey guys! The StarkerFestivals Summer Bingo has come to a close so we have info for the next event which has been named StarkerFestivals September Shuffle.

The goal for the event is to fit as many tropes into one universe as possible!

How does this work?

A calendar for September with possible prompts has been created for this event.

A text based version of the prompts will be included under the Read More cut.

Each day has two possible prompts to choose from. Participants can pick and choose the prompts from the calendar.

The number of prompts can be daily, weekly, or however many you wish to include to tailor the work to your liking. This can be posted as one single work or as multiple pieces all linked together in the same story.

(So for fanfics, this can be one completed fanfic or it can be a multi chapter fic that gets updated whenever a prompt is completed)

This also means that participants are not obligated to pick a prompt for every single day, but pick and choose whichever prompts they find appealing. The goal is to fit as many prompts into one work and to have fun with it!

What are the rules?

Starker has to be the main pairing/end goal pairing. As long as the main pairing and/or end goal is starker, other pairings are 100% welcome.

This event is open to everyone but we discourage minors from choosing prompts that are NSFW.

What if I'm not writing fanfics?

Other content is welcomed as long as they are linked in the same universe. So for example, an artist can create one art piece with as many tropes as they want, or they can create a series of art pieces like a comic. The same can be done for moodboards. As long as the prompts occur in the same universe, it'll count for this event.

This is a bit confusing… Can you give some examples of how to do this event?

Say your goal is to get every single prompt filled. You would need to plan on how to fit each prompt into a single/multi-chapter fic.

Say, your personal goal was to do the prompts you like and nothing more. You would need to plan on how to fit them all into a single/multi-chapter fic.

Maybe you spend the entire month working on a one shot, where you fit all 30 prompts into one chapter.

Maybe you write a 30 chapter fanfic, posting once a day to get each prompt.

Maybe you fit 7 prompts in one chapter, and post once a week.

Maybe you only like 2 of the prompts out of all of them. So your personal goal is to fit two tropes into a single fic by the end of the month.

Maybe you like some tropes but not others. Say you like days 1-6 but not 7 or 8. So your personal goal is to get a chapter out with days 1-6 and think about 9-30 later.

Whatever you want to do, at whatever pace and whatever challenge level you want!

What happens if I miss a day?

Whatever you want to happen! You can skip that prompt if you want, or incorporate two prompts in one chapter, or plan to upload only one chapter that week with all the prompts. No big deal, it’s whatever you want.

More complex backgrounds may not be something I am happy to do depending on the background as backgrounds are not my strong suit and I am to provide people will commissions which I, and they, are happy with. The discussion would always come before the payment as I need to know exactly what you want and if its possible for me with my skill level to do that. The aim is to always produce something that we’re both happy with.

All pieces will be uploaded to tumblr once complete, you’ll be tagged, but it will also be emailed to you in png form for you to print, and display as you wish. Original Characters as long as enough references and details are given to provide me with an accurate picture of what you want. These can be your own completely original ones, D&D characters or they can be dragon age characters i.e. your warden, or things of that nature. I can do any character as long as the character is humanoid and I have enough details and reference images to work from.

Characters from other franchises such as Harry Potter, Dragon Age, etc. so long as I know what franchise and what character so I can google references if its not a character I know

People, if you want a self-portrait or a portrait for a friend then I can do that provided I have decent photos to work from.

Interacting characters are fine, as long as I know how you want them to interact and you’re aware of the extra charge per additional character!

Detailed, Literate Writer Seeks Same

Hey everyone, Ash here. I found a couple amazing writing partners through posting my ad around, and I'm looking for one more. I’m hoping that one of you in this internet wilderness will find that your writing wants and needs align with my own. I’ll start by saying that I’m very picky, but I won’t lead you on. I encourage you to be equally as picky with me as well. In this ad, I’ll tell you absolutely everything that I am searching for so that it’s all laid out there. About Me

I’m a 24 year old female and writing has been a longtime love of mine. I lead a busy life, and I find time to integrate this very important piece of artistry into it. That being said, I can post anywhere from multiple times a day to four times a week depending on what time allows. I’ll always keep you updated though.

I am a detailed, literate writer. I don’t believe in one-liners. My average post length is 3-5 paragraphs, sometimes more if the situation calls for it. I don’t believe that quantity is equivalent to quality, however, and I’ll get to that in my next point.

I am a full believer that writing is an art. This is one of the most important things you can take away from my ad. I don’t just throw together words. I want to create written life. Together, we can form worlds that are intricate, beautiful, and filled with nuance. These worlds should be inhabited with dynamic, multi-dimensional characters that have their own flaws, stories, and ambitions. Most of the time, that means diving into a lot of plotting. Like many of you, I love plotting. I get lost in it at times. I’ve said this before...if we write together, I’m committed to creating written life with you. I want to do that beautifully.

I write any gender and any pairing. However! I have been writing a lot of males recently, and I’m getting very tired of it. I’d like to play a female in an MxF pairing. That being said, I also love doubling/having multiple characters, so I’m sure we could work something out so we’re both happy. I will pour equal amounts of energy into any and all characters so I’d ask that you do the same.

If we become RP partners, I am communicative. I will not ghost you, or suddenly disappear. If I’m not interested, I’ll let you know.

As far as OOC goes, I use it for plotting and to get to know my RP partners. I leave that up to the comfort of my partner. I've been friends with some and simply writing partners with others.

I am only interested in RPing over Google Docs. I like the aesthetic of it...a beautiful document to match a beautiful world. If you’ve never done this before, I’m happy to teach you if we become RP partners. It’s not hard to learn. OOC can be done through Google Chat or Discord.

About You

Now that you know who I am, here is exactly what I’m looking for. Like I said, I’m picky. This list may look exhaustive, but it’s only fair to you that you know exactly what I’m looking for. I won’t waste your time. These qualities are a must for me.

20+. I know that a lot of RPers will even do 18+, but I really can’t. I know, I know. But this is a firm rule. I like to explore mature themes, and I’m only comfortable doing that with those over the age of 20.

Detailed. I’m looking for someone who is not interested in one liners or tiny posts. Ideally, you are just as passionate as I am about creating lovely worlds and characters.

Literate. Please, please have a strong handle on English and grammar. I get that everyone makes typos but there's a limit.

Comfortable with mature themes. I’m not asking for a totally messy RP, but I do like exploring mature themes. Violence, smut, etc. This is why requirement number 1 is so important. We can talk about boundaries and limits should we decide to be partners.

Committed to creating dynamic characters and a detailed world. I would hope you share the same passion for story and writing as I do.

Comfortable writing any gender. Particularly, this is for the people who contact me saying that they only write females. Do. Not. Contact. Me. If. You. Only. Write. Females. I write both, it would be cool if you were also versatile.

Genre Talk

The fun stuff! I enjoy most genres but my favorites are dystopian, science fiction, post apocalyptic (give me a good viral zombie outbreak and I’m there), and fantasy. Seriously, any type of fantasy. I’m down for mythological creatures in modern Paris, or a wholly new world based off of ancient Rome.

I can get excited about most genres, except slice of life. Sorry if that’s your thing, but slice of life is not for me. As far as fandoms go, the only one I’m interested in is Harry Potter. I’d want to make original characters however, and would prefer to be in the post-Harry time period.

I am a sucker for romance/smut and enjoy interweaving it in some way. It’s the perfect seasoning, but it’s not the whole meal. Also, if you’re actually seeing all of this and decide to contact me, please tell me your favorite animal so that I know you’ve actually been reading. Thanks!

I only have two available plot templates prepared which I can share upon request. One is about a modern fantasy world at the brink of war once magic becomes revealed to humans. The second is a post-apocalyptic style zombie virus tale. I’m also very interested in hearing any ideas you might have.

1.       i(.)imgur(.)com/2UHctWY(.)png this picture works if you paste it into your address bar and just remove the ( ) symbols around the dots. It's his left hand since you can see the overside. Wether you find it weird to hold someone at the waist when kissing them or not is irrelevant, the arm and hand does not vanish which is the main point. Add it to your post so people can see for themselves.

 Thank you for the picture Anon, due to the blanket removals of BTISudio related things I’m holding off putting the image up and I’ll use something as a representation of the arm motion that you have up. Again apologies for not being able to put the picture up. But I see it, and you’re right the arm is there, but it’s a really weird way of placing it as the natural cure of a kiss like that would have it where one person would have their hand higher than the other. Like I said it’s a weird position.

 2.       You say in 4 that the studio leak image is that of a cropped shot of the previous leak as they cut off the other mouse - but that's not true. You can clearly see the mouse on Pidge's shoulder.

 Added the Edit to the post anon. Thank you. I explained why I missed it. It’s still a bit odd that the mouse has not moved at all.

 3.       The voiceline thing that one anon was talking about was, somebody took lines Lance’s VA said in other shows/games he worked on and they also picked some lines from the 1 voltron VR game and put it together in one clip. The person included some random lines from the other characters too. And claimed it was “leaked audio” they got. Never said how they got it. Clearly fake, and a whole bunch of K/L fans obsessed with it for a bit before they lost interest.

 Okay so they claimed to have data mined. That’s interesting because normally you would only be able to do that with games, since there is a lot of dialogue that is recorded and then left in there when they choose not to use it. Actors will record hours of dialogue for a game and then studios may change plans on how they are going to use it.

 For example, Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Yosuke, for Persona 4 had lines that indicated that at one point in the game they were planning to have Yosuke be a love option for the MC, but then dropped that plan for whatever reason. This was later data mined by fans from the finished product. But I’ve never heard of a way to data mine for recordings via a tv show, since the extra tracts would be left off the final disk, and you would have to have access to the main audio recordings of the show, and I don’t think Andrea would just go leaving them out there.

 I’m sorry that the fans had to deal with that. That’s also a low thing to do because it cuts into issues with the whole audio department and such. Also it sucks for the fans because it’s a cheap way to get attention and isn’t fair to the listeners nor the actors.

 4.       I didn't see this added yet, but there was a Plance fake "leak" that got a DMCA takedown here on Tumblr from DreamWorks 3 days ago. The artist admitted it was fake when posted, it was meant as a joke and to show how easy it was to make a "leak." This kind of takes validity away from "posts are getting taken down so it must be real!" Sounds to me Dreamworks just wants all of this to go away (since it's upsetting fans or whatnot.)

 Yeah I got one too way back on the 24th, and realized that that was probably why my first post was taken down. I’m trying to be more cautious out of respect for the BTIstudio. But yes, using any form of intellectual property:

 Name of studio, logo of studio, art, dialogue, written words, even plants and other items.

 Can be subject to claims. So even if it’s something made to debunk, if it so much as has a whiff of anything that could be connected to the actual studio, then that stuff has to be taken down for copyright reasons, and I completely understand that.

Next time I go to my convention in May, there’s a lawyer group that shows up and I’m going to try to ask about leaks and fake leaks and blanket take downs and the rules of it all. 

 5.       Honestly Shiro's sight lines in the first 2 pics make more sense if someone shorter was standing next to him. In the third, (I) it's a profile shot so it'd be easy to rotate or tilt the head up/down if this Fokker is a dummy stand-in for another character and (II) Shiro's hand is literally on Fokker's ass due to hand position and the dude's height which is A LOT for a Y-7 show. Now if it were a shorter character, Shiro's hand would be at his waist. 🤔

Interesting catch there. In the original art where the head shot seems to have come from, the eyes are pointed down and to the left away from where Roy is looking.

This would leave us with the question of who is shorter than Shiro right now, as the only ones I can point to are Pidge, Romelle, Allura I think, or one of the Aliens. Keith, Hunk and Lance are all about the same height to him, and since he is looking slightly sideways it makes me think he’s looking at someone who is not the person with him. It’s a weird line of sight that is for sure for the shot.

6.       Apologies if I misread this, but I think you implied the crisscross watermarks were a function of VSI Chinkel software and therefore would only appear on their studio's work. However in the other Chinkel studio shots, that crisscross isn't there. Watermarking is done by the originator (I.e. Dreamworks) not by the recipient. Also the pause | | in the upper right hand of the wedding is from the program the leaker is watching it in (VLC media player, specifically)

 Yeah I thought that it could be something that happened there. But you’re right that the other image clearly shows that it’s not happening on the main one. I’ll have to edit that factor. Still the actual dubbing equipment, according to their website is one of a kind.

 The thing about the VLC is also right, since we use it at my college. However I don’t know of any dubbing studio that would use VLC when they have access to more expensive and better software to watch media on. Also most get it in some digital form that they could play on Adobe or other media player that is far more useful for pausing and doing scripting, and seeing where the audio track is and what it’s doing. So I find that someone using an Open source tool is strange, at least to me, when it comes to a professional workplace.

 7.       that dude isn't roy, i think, he has the same skin tone as adam.

Oh anon, bless your heart here. Your right in that it’s not Roy himself, because that would land them in real hot water. He’s a look alike or representation. I don’t know if the character has a name at this point, but I’m calling him Roy as it’s easier than calling him “The dude that’s clearly a homage of the guy from Macross that was an inspiration to Shiro himself as a character.” Because that would take way to long. As I said before, this could be what someone thinks Adam without glasses and longer hair would look like.

8.       I also thought Roy's arm disappears through Shiro, but in another pic of that kiss that's in a google doc going around debunking the leaks, his arm is very much in that photo and around Shiro's waist like you'd expect. Ngl, that threw me off because I'm starting to think I imagined things and only saw flaws where there weren't actually any at all.

 And this is kind of the purpose of leaks that are not clear, or are not right, or have bad resolution. They are there to cover up the mistakes or things that make people realize they are false.

 It’s one reason art forgers will be very careful to not make mistakes, but the issue is that there are always tells. Some are very very tiny and you have to take them under a microscope and look at them with the eye of someone trained to find them out.

 As for the situation, take a break from it Anon. Go outside, enjoy the fall weather, watch another show or find something else to do. As I keep telling people, relax. No one has a horse in this race, I certainly don’t and nether should you. Our focus should be more on the real image that came out from JDS and LM and figuring out what was up with the table and, hey, on the plus side we have a “The End” shot. XD

 9.       Saw an anon point out that the “missing arm” is there and they are right. It is mainly behind shiro’s new arm and the hand is on his waist. It is a very normal way to hold someone, just because you can see the majority of it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there at all.

As I said I edited the post to reflect that info. The arm may be there, but there’s still something off about the whole thing to me. And again, if I’m wrong, oh well, if I’m right, oh well. I have no horse in this race and honestly am not into the ships.

10.   Lotor’s statue isn’t 3D.... it’s very clearly painted... I think you’re starting to reach a bit with some of your debunking.

 Changed the statue to an actual screen shot that I have to reflect it better. The thing is to me it looks like what you would do with a matte painting over a 3D image to create a more statue like approach to things. Since we have the white light filter over it, it makes it harder to see if it has the same 3D like rendering as Aang’s statue. Also between the time that Korra came out and now, they may have made the program smoother so it’s harder to tell if it’s 3D or not.

 While I agree that they do some statues in normal drawings, the other ones, like Lotor, seem to need details, and I feel like a 3D rendering would be a better way to do it than, a 2D drawing.

 11.   I so want to believe they’re fakes. So much points to it, but one thing bothers me: this is an awful lot of trouble that someone has gone to, for a cartoon!? I mean finding photos on I’m assuming private Instagram accounts or other social media to highly edit? No one can actually find the originals. Plus Chinkel do actually use the multiple watermarks thing. So? Maybe those ones with the cast in them are real. They seem like far too much trouble to fake unfortunately 1/2

2/2 and I’m gonna stab a guess here and say that DreamWorks and whatever other studio it was, aren’t taking any real action besides silently removing the images but not saying anything because they feel like the images don’t give away a huge plot spoiler? Just the supposed one year later thing? Like I said it’s far too much trouble to go to. Someone would’ve had to literally scour the ENTIRE French VAs’ personal social media to find that cast pic, because no one else can find the original.

 To be honest Anon, you would think that right? But the thing is that there are people out there that do this for fun. Namely because they know that it upsets a fandom and they’ll try to stir up the fans and then sit back and laugh at them.

 Given the incident with the actresses and the cloud leak, it can be done. Seriously you can hack anything that has some sort of connection to the net. There’s always a back door, and it’s something that the “White Hats” have been trying to deal with for years. Social media isn’t a safe place when it comes to keeping pictures and such because people can and will break in, all the time. Remember the Sony leak not that long ago?

 The photo with the cast is real, I just think the image on the screen is not. BTIStudio was sending takedowns, I got one on the 24th of October from them from a Mr. Rachel in the IT department. So my guess is it was a blanket take down regarding the name being used, since BTIStudio is now owned by Investors Shamrock and Altor, who just got the studios recently so there may be business reasons, or intellectual reasons “name being used” to pull it down. As another anon pointed out a Fake debunking image got pulled too because of them showing how to do it.

 It's work, but for someone who has the time and skills it’s not insanely hard to do. Because of digital media and how good Photoshop, illustrator, and several other programs are now, it makes it easier and easier to copy art and make forgeries. It’s something artists are dealing with right now because people are finding ways to copy and sell fakes of their digital paintings.

 12.   Something else I noticed about the fake leaks - Ezor's eyepatch. So far, none of the galra with missing eyes wear eyepatches. They all have some sort of cyber prosthetic. Like Sendak, Ranveig, Branko, and Janka. Why would Ezor have a normal eyepatch while the rest of them don't? Doesn't make sense

That’s an interesting point there too. Given what we’ve seen previously, it doesn’t make sense to change up how a character is shown to have a wound like that covered. Unless she couldn’t’ get it done, but that doesn’t make sense either since if she was working with the Blade they would have set her up with stuff on earth by now. And Ezor doesn’t strike me as the type to be all “No I won’t have something cyber put on me” that’s more Zethrid.

14.   I saw that apparently the joke fake "pl/ance leak" was taken down by DW because of copyright as well? if so that proves that the leaks don't need to be real to be taken down.

Yup! As long as it has something that equates to “Intellectual Property” studios and copyright owners can take anything down. It’s a huge issue with Youtube and their review groups and such. That’s why the Essay’s have evolved so much to only put shorter clips in and other aspects.

Fan Art can be copyrighted if it’s too close to original works, or even fake fakes like the Plance art. Most studios just go “Anything that has our name on it, take it down” even if it’s not a real leak.

15.   I think that the anon who mentioned the "fake Klance voicelines leak" is talking about the fake audio leaks that were taken from Jeremy's line from another show and claimed to be about Klance and also a fake picture of Keith with Lance's jacket on .

 Well that’s different. As I said, data mining is a bit hard to do from a tv show since there would be no additional tracks. It’s why most people don’t do that when it comes to creating fake info about a show and typically stick to art, or altered scripts since it’s easier to do. Typically all tracks that are recorded are edited and the ones that are not used are stored on a server that’s not easy to access and isn’t even on the net, it’s in an in house server.

 As for the picture, huh, I think I heard of that one but never saw it.

Welcome to the Stucky Big Bang Challenge!

FAQ

What is a Big Bang?

A Big Bang is a fan challenge which asks artists and writers join forces to create beautiful transformative works for their fandom. Writers pitch an idea for a fanfiction and artists claim fics that they are interested in. Then the writer and artist work together to post a completed fanfiction that is accompanied by custom artwork by a set deadline. Everybody benefits, especially the fandom.

What are the bare bones expectations?

We will require an email you check reliably often to send information through.

We will require you to check this blog regularly for updates

The word count minimum for this years big bang is 20K words. Authors are expected to meet this requirement and publish their work by the deadline.

Each fanfiction must have at least one art piece accompanying it. Artists are expected to finish and publish each artwork by the deadline.

Is my idea eligible?

Does your idea include Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes as a main pairing? Then your fic is eligible! We allow poly, provided Steve and Bucky are part of the relationship. Crossovers are permitted as long as Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes are still in there. It’s fine if your idea isn’t overtly romantic, as long as Steve and Bucky’s relationship is a part of the fic we’re happy. However, works with Steve/Bucky as a side pairing will not be accepted.

No kinkshaming is permitted; however, all kinks must be tagged when published, as well as any major content warnings. Basically anything within the context of stucky is good to go as long as it’s tagged appropriately.

Weekend August 18-21: Everything is Posted (hard deadline. Both Fics and Art MUST be complete and posted by 12 Midnight MST August 21) 

The times are what they are. They’re what we could make work for everyone involved in running the bang as we’re scattered in different time zones. They are non negotiable.

Rules for Authors

Authors write a fanfic and pitch the summary to artists who will make art for the fic. The minimum word count expected is 20 000 words. We’ll require a 5000 word draft by 12 Midnight MST May 20, This is ¼ of the expected minimum word count. Authors may either: start writing after you sign up or continue working on something they are already writing provided it isn’t published. After the sign up close, Authors will have three and a half months to complete their fic. We’ll also require each over 20 000 word fic submitted to us by 12 Midnight MST August 12. Authors can do some minor editing if needed between then and the posting date, but the fic must be ready to publish on August 18.

You can write more than one fic if you wish, but do not submit more than one summary unless you are certain you can complete all works by the due date.

Communication with your artist is not only recommended, but required. You at least need to make your current draft available by the July 15 check in so the artist can begin working on their piece.

Works cannot be published until August 18 arrives and must be fully published by end of day August 21. When published, any major archive warnings must be added if applicable.Tags must include any and all common triggers and squicks that may occur in your fic. There will also be a AO3 collection open for the Big Bang. You can submit more than one fic if you really want to and you know both will be finished. Your fic must be submitted to us by 12 Midnight MST August 12 or it will not be included in the masterlist or AO3 collection. 

Summary and Draft Submission

Summaries and drafts will both be submitted through email to stuckybigbangsubmissions@gmail.com. Drafts should either be through a link to a google dog or an attached word file. Summary information will follow this format:

Archive Warnings: (None, Graphic Violence, Rape/Noncon, Major Character Death, Underage)

Important Tags: (any additional warnings/type of au/important things to know. please limit yourself to 8 tags max)

You may submit each as soon as you are certain of what you’re writing. Summaries and Drafts must be submitted by May 20 at 12 Midnight MST.

Final submission on August 12 will also be done through email. 

Rules for Artists

You will need a minimum of one finished piece per fic you claim. Art can be a drawing, painting (either traditional or digital), gifsets, graphics, fanvids, fanmixes, manips, songwriting provided it can be recorded and posted, 3D art including fibre, sculpture, bookmaking, craft, provided it can be photographed. 

Fanvids must be at least 1 minute and 30 seconds. Fanmixes must be at least 10 tracks and have a front and back cover. Gifsets must include at least eight gifs.

Consult the author on any squicks/triggers they may have before making your piece. Art pieces are not to be posted until August 18 and must be complete aside from small edits by August 12. Your art must be submitted to us by 12 Midnight MST August 12 or it will not be included in the masterlist or AO3 collection. EDIT JULY 24: Artists will NOT be required tosubmit their works for the 12th. Works cannot be published before August 18 and must be published by the end of August 21st.

Sign ups will be available through a google from at 9:00 AM MST on March 20. We will post the links at that time.

Claims

Claims will be through a timestamped google form. Artists will need to submit their url, email as well as  the number and title of the summary/ies they wish to claim. Each artist will be allowed to claim a total of up to 4 fics total. In the first round, which will last for 6 hours, each artist will be allowed to claim one fic. In the second round, each artist will be able to claim more. This round will last until each fic has at one claim on it. After that, when the third round is announced each artist will be able to claim more fics if they so wish. each fic will be allowed a total of 3 artists working on it. All notifications of the results of claims will be done through email.

More detailed information will be given in an upcoming claims info post.

Check Ins

Check ins will be done through google forms, one for authors and one for artists. We will send out an email reminder in addition to posting on this blog about check ins, but it your responsibility to check in with us. There will be separate check in forms for authors and artists. 

Posting

Each team will need to make a post containing links to all the fanworks produced by them. A link post to the fic with links to the art added in is basically what we’re looking for. Each post will be reblogged here as to provide as much exposure as possible. In addition, a masterpost of all the fics will be posted here and reblogged to thestuckylibrary.

There will also be a tag on tumblr for all content posted here (#sbb2017)

We will post examples to make posting clear closer to the posting date.

Accommodations

If you require an accommodation in any way, for example if you are d/Deaf/HOH and need visual only art or are blind and need audio only art, if you cannot view flashing gifs, if you have a trigger that does not fall under archive warnings and so on, please let us know and we will ensure your needs are met.

Other Misc. Rules

We will not allow underage sex in any big bang submissions. This means no sex scenes if the characters are under 16.

We also request that participants do not bring bang related questions to thestuckylibrary as not all the mods there are mods for the bang. It will also keep everything much more organized if conversations about the bang remain on this url.

We trust all participants to be responsible for the content they create and engage with.
