So the OST of The Amazing Digital Circus pilot dropped and I wanna talk about it.

Of course we already had the main theme but it's always welcome.

Welcome to the Show is the first of Evan Alderete's work I've encountered but I already like the guy's style

The fact that the next song is literally called Get Iseaki'd means so much to me, a perfect distillation of what I love about Gooseworx unique brand of weirdness.

All of It fittingly feels like a menu or level select theme and has such an eager energy that fits perfectly.

XDDCC reminds me of the works of Louie Zong and something else that I can't quite place.

I really hope Today's Adventure plays for every episode's adventure introduction, which fortunately for me, seems likely as Goose wrote it herself.

Useless Blivots is quirky and some parts of it feel like a dopey game over/fail theme, fitting since it's around this point that the situation really sets in for Pomni.

Conversation Piece also feels made to be a reoccurring piece and has a feel similar to the Spooky Month OST, which is never a bad thing.

Kaufmo the Clown is actually way more intense than I remember from watching the episode, not much to say but a really strong and tense theme.

I can see why Gone Mad went unused, it's good but it feels like it would've worked better in a later episode when something assumed stable by the characters AND the audience goes wrong.

Love the suspense in Wrong Doors, very different type of intimidating from Kaufmo's theme.

Worm Mom is a perfect theme for an NPC/adventure villain like the Gloink Queen, certainly some Grant Kirkhope inspiration here.

The tense but sort of adventurous tone of Enter Exit is great for setting a scene.

And Going Nowhere is even better at building off of that scene and filling it with fear and mystery.

Dinner For Two immediately made me think of Little King's Story, which is a very good thing.

Sorry About That neatly fills the narrative role while also having the vibe of both and epilogue theme and a pause theme. Potentially another regular theme.

Your New Home is the song everyone knows thanks to memes and is nothing short of a perfect remix of the main theme to end of the pilot.

Digital Days, we finally have a name for the hella underrated credits song!

And that's all I've got to say about the soundtrack, I didn't quite realize how rich and varied it was until now, guess that's what individual soundtracks are for. Can't wait to see how it grows along with the show in the future, really, an all-around phenomenal production.

• i use garageband on my phone to write most of the time (sometimes bandlab or acoustic instruments, usually various pianos or organs)

• i use distrokid for platform distribution and i seriously recommend it it’s ridiculously easy and super cheap too

• my process is usually pretty linear, starting with a melodic idea and moving from start to finish with the song, then going back and buffing it out making it meatier and tweaking things as i see fit! then i’ll usually adjust the pitch/speed at the end simply bc the analog sound is a lot more pleasing garageband can get a little sterile after listening to it for so long :]

• writing a single song will usually take me anywhere from 2-6 hours depending on the complexity, spanning however many days (i have drafts that have been sitting in my phone for MONTHS bc i’ll often switch between them so none of them get too stale) -> however, some of my live songs work a little differently, seeing as a lot of them (especially on what never left the nebula) are actually almost completely improvised… you'll never guess which ones >:)

• i’ve been playing piano and singing since i was a toddler, but i started formally making music and being serious about it in 2017! i’ve come a long long long way, don’t look for my old soundcloud /hj

idk if you have mentioned this before but do you have any voiceclaims for your OCs and canon characters?

First of all thank you it's one of my favorite Muddler drawings that I made!!

Hmmm voice claims... I have a few.

The thing tho, sort of, is sometimes my mental voice for some of them have a specific accent I don't think a voice actor would be able to replicate easily, like Moominmamma having a swedish accent with bits of south-eastern British she picked up from Moominpappa and his old friends, or Fuzzy having a danish accent faded with northern American or Inspector having a cockney accent with Finnish sprinkled in. Most of them are THAT kind of specific. But if I had to go just by the sound of their voices...

One voice claim I have down is Alasdair Stuart (the voice actor of Peter Lukas from the Magnus Archives) for Hodgkins, maybe he'd go a smidge deeper and gruffer than his Lukas voice but that's the gist of my voice for him.

Cosmo Sheldrake as the Joxter, particularly inspired by his cover of Green Grass, though I imagine years of casual smoking would've taken a little toll on his vocal chords.

I've associated alot of Eleisha Eagle songs with the Fuzzy and I can't separate her voice from her at this point, so she might be her voiceclaim.

Joey Batey as Hodgkins' lost brother, almost certainly, you might know Batey as the bard from the Witcher but I mostly know him from the band the Amazing Devil.

I've listened to quite a bit of S.J. Tucker and she's honestly quite the voice actress if you've listened to her story readings along with her songs, I've imagined her as my OC Iris, who is Hodgkins' mother.

Christine Ebersole... If she could do an actual posh British accent then she would be Aunt Jane for me, hands down. But either of the Mary Poppins actresses also does it for me when it comes to Jane.

I've flip-flopped a bit for the Fuddler's (as in, the one from the comics) voice actor, I'm stuck somewhere between Brain David Gilbert or Louie Zong, I think it's very vibe-dependant.

I listened to the Freaks by the Tiger Lillies a bit and went "Mhm yep that's Stinky right there" (I don't recommend listening to the whole song because goodness it's uhhhh graphic, unless you're into that. But if you wanna hear the voice without all that I recommend just looking up the animation meme for it). I think the singer was by the name of Martyn Jacques but I'm not 100% sure.

I think that's most of them for the ones with particular voices.... The rest are specific ideas I can only describe without naming a certain actor.

June 2023 Playlist

It's JUNE! And it actually still is June, because I wanted to get this playlist out while it was still officially Pride Month since I'm proud of this queer little playlist. I'd shared some possible covers earlier, but of course, I settled on the Dio-inspired one. As much as I love dance-pop, at my heart, I am just a power-metal guy.

At 71 songs, this is the most packed list so far and is longer than even my birthday month playlist. I took a lot of inspo from a friend's playlist "Songs where the narrator is a lesbian against all evidence," as well as snagging quite a few songs from it (though I will note that Ginuwine's "Pony" had already made its way onto the playlist well before I'd figured the theme/vibe). Though a LOT of these songs are by queer artists of various flavours, there are also quite a few that are songs I enjoy recontextualised through a queer lens.

I don't know if you've ever made a playlist for a character* (whether an OC or your personal blorbo), but I've often found it to be a good exercise in the malleability of interpretation. Specifically, a very gay interpretation in the case of most of my character playlists. I tried to go no emotionally lower than wistful, because damn, friend, let's embrace joy.

And also, if you don't know why I ended this playlist with the song I did well, I finally played Portal 2 because of a Tumblr post.

Week 3 - Planning

I wanted to use Wordspace for this, but I couldn't figure it out lol.

The goal of my project is to model and texture a model in Blender that I can bring into Maya to rig so I can bring it into Unreal Engine 5 to make a controllable character with fitting animations.

I was inspired to do this by visual artists Doig and Swift, as they have created little controllable characters for Unity, and I wish to do something similar for UE5. I was also inspired by Louie Zong's designs for Casper and Nova from the show Fiona and Cake, as well as the low-poly style of Gwimbly from Smiling Friends, designed by Hoolopee. Like these designs, I want the simple, flat textures with bright colours, as well as cartoonish proportions.

Before actually brainstorming designs, I decided to test-model some mouth shapes in Blender with a low-poly style that I wanted. At this point, I was thinking of modelling a creature with some kind of snout.

The actual design I settled on was a kappa, a yokai of a turtle-like creature that hangs out near rivers and kidnaps children and really likes cucumbers. These are some pages from my brainstorming.

These are two photos I took of kappa statues that also partially inspired the design. They are from near where my grandparents live in Kouyaguchi, so we walk past them a lot when visiting. I think it's a simple but cute design, which should be easy enough to model. I think I could make some interesting mouth shapes with the beak, even if it will be low -poly. I like the proportions of this statue as well, with the little arms and legs and big head, which I also liked about the aforementioned designs, and which I wish to include in my design.

I have decided to finalise the design to a little kappa with round glasses so I can get stuck into modelling. I still have to draw T-pose images of the design to model off of, but I currently have a clear image of what that will look like in my head. I am glad I managed to decide what I wanted the creature I am modelling to be so soon, as I thought I was going to be very indecisive about it or run out of time to come up with an idea I was actually satisfied with.

For future reference, I have found this website with information about edge loops and polygon density for rigging, this website for information about polygons near the shoulder, and this website about rigging low-poly models.

Summary// Ground Zero has been your crush since you were rescued by him, and ever since then, you've been writing love songs that your manager is sick and tired of hearing. One day on a live broadcast, you admit that the songs were inspired by your admiration for said hero. Little did you know, he was just in the other wing of the building getting his own interview done and decides to see you after the cameras are off.

A/N: I know his hero name is Dynamite but I wrote this before it was decided so I'm sticking with Ground Zero, sorry ^^;

You were never camera shy, you loved the stage and all that came with it. The lights, the flurry of makeup artists and the adrenaline rush of seeing the On-Air light turn red.

But the moment you saw him walk into the room, you swear your heart fell into your stomach and all the words you've ever sang were sucked right back into your throat.

Ever since the accident that nearly took your life, you have been an active fan of Ground Zero. He was constantly in the news, either due to his heroics or due to being spotted with other top heroes such as Deku or Shoto. Considering he was their classmate in high school, the media gobbled up any coverage they could with the trio.

You on the other hand, were mostly into the tabloids for information on Ground Zero.

The accident was after one of your concerts. You had been on your way to your tour bus when a villain had attacked. Luckily none of your crew were hurt, but you were trapped under the rubble of the concert hall that had fallen when the villain rammed into the wall. It was cramped and had little oxygen, the air was full of dust and your lungs were heavy with the ash. You had broken your arm and had to use it to support yourself to keep from getting crushed under the rubble that was slowly but surely pressing down on you.

You had little hope for yourself as the rubble grew heavier, your arm giving out under the weight of your body, but before it could fully crush you, you heard the sounds of explosions.

Not long after, you felt the weight of the rubble lift.

Ground Zero had sent smaller blasts to break up the larger pieces of rubble before finally moving the giant piece that was pinning you to the ground. He scooped you up into his arms and murmured the same line under his breath as he brought you to the paramedics.

"You're safe now."

He lowered you onto the gurney and waited by you as the paramedics asked you questions, soon finding your rib was cracked as well. Ground Zero gave you a once over before parting with a quiet goodbye and a thank you to the medics that were helping you.

You didn't get the chance to thank him as the medics placed an oxygen mask on your face.

So you wrote him songs. You never used his name, but a hero was always implied when it came to songs about him. You tried to be subtle with the crush you had developed, but apparently you weren't subtle enough.

Your manager was sent an invitation for an interview to talk about your new album full of love songs. The album was crammed with songs about a one-sided pinning for someone who could never love back, but the last song was a ray of hope that they might find a way to each other.

Was it based on reality? No. Ground Zero couldn't have liked you like you liked him, he didn't know who he had saved and likely didn't look back on that event. He was a busy hero who saved people daily. He wouldn't know your name, but you could always dream maybe he would hold you like he did when you were hurt.

So there you were, in a chair with the lights on you and your interviewer.

"Your album is named Loved One, are you trying to send a message to a certain someone?" The man asks as he cleans his glasses with a wipe.

You fiddle with your hands on your lap, a half smile on your face. "It's a love song for someone, yes. But if he's ever heard it I'm not sure."

"Your songs have been in the top ten, with Sweet Delights being number one for seven weeks straight. Surely he's heard one of them."

True. Your music was popular. But did he ever hear them? Would he know it was him you were talking about when you sang?

Of course not. That's why you wrote your feelings with no fear of being found out.

"He's a very special man, I can't say he has the time for music." You turn your face as a small blush fans your cheeks. "He's a hero, I'm sure he's too busy to listen to the radio."

The interviewer leans forward in his seat, a grin tugging at his lips. "A hero?"

The live audience begins to whisper and you can hear the names of heroes being tossed around.

Deku. Shoto. Chargebolt. Cellophane.

Ground Zero.

"Yeah." You chuckle. "He saved me during an accident. I'll be forever grateful to him for saving my life."

"Love at first attack."

"Something like that."

"What would you say to him if he were here right now?" The interviewer leans back in his seat.

You look down at your lap, twiddling with your thumbs as you try to come up with the words. You've written dozens of songs, but what words would you give him?

"Thank you. For being my hero. I've written you love songs I never thought you'd hear. Maybe I thought it would make you feel the same way I feel for you." You look up from your lap and chuckle, this time a tad bit weaker. "Silly isn't it? I get to know so much about him but I'm just a dime a dozen that he saves. He doesn't even know my name."

The interviewer scoots forward and hands you one of the tissue boxes on his desk. You aren't about to start crying but you appreciate the gesture and take it from him anyway.

"Love can be tough. But you've written plenty about it haven't you?"

A light chuckle comes from the crowd.

You smile. "I know enough about pinning for someone who will never know me."

"What is his name? Maybe we could get him on here, get you a coffee date." He says in a playful tone.

What's the worst that could happen?

"Well, this is a little embarrassing, but it's Ground Zero." You rub your neck as the crowd collectively gasps. "He saved me after a concert I held, and ever since then he's been on my mind. I thought it was creepy, so I figured I would use my music as an outlet. My album is dedicated to unrequited love and accepting it. Hopefully I'll accept it one day too."

For a moment the interviewer is quiet, but when you look closer you see a smile is building on his face.

He clears his throat and lifts his remote control to the screen behind the both of you. "Ironically, in the west wing of the building, we're holding an interview with Ground Zero himself."

The screen turns on to show Ground Zero seated with his own interviewer.

They were watching your interview live.

And he just heard your admission to liking him.

Your grip on the tissue box tightens as you see his eyes scanning you.

Oh god you were going to be sick.

He stands up and walks out of the room. All you feel is lead in your gut as you watch the television move onto commercial.

Your interviewer presses on the Bluetooth in his ear and nods along to whatever the people were saying. But you didn't want to hear any of it. All you felt was dread.

He heard.

He must think you were crazy. It was his job to save people! He didn't do it out of chivalry or kindness like some knight in a fairytale!

You let go of the box and cover your face with your hands. The crowd was talking now, you couldn't catch what they were saying but they were going wild.

Deciding to see what was getting the crowd so riled up, you look to the doors.

And there he is.

Standing across the room with his eyes glued to yours.

So there you are. No words were forming and you felt like you were being sucked into the Twilight Zone.

The crowd cheers as he walks down the aisle in his full gear and makes his way straight to you.

You cover your face again as the interviewer speaks to him.

"The man of the hour, Ground Zero ladies and gentlemen!" He announces, but the crowd was already roaring with energy.

You feel the hero stand in front of you, mostly because he blocked your light, and soon you were wondering if you could sink into the cushions and disappear forever. Let Loved One be your momento mori, your swan song before you disappeared off the face of the earth.

"Hey."

No no no no- no!

You hear his gear shift and from the cracks between your fingers you see him crouch in front of you.

"Stop filming." He says to the interviewer.

"We still have five minutes to break-" The interviewer starts up but stumbles on his words. You hear the pop of small explosions and the murmur of the crowd.

"Break for two!" The producer calls from backstage.

"Hey."

This time, you lower your hands to cover your mouth, looking at Ground Zero with half of your face covered.

He looked just as he had when he rescued you, minus him being in his winter gear. But it was all the same. Even the tone he was using with you. Like you were fragile.

"Did you mean it?" He asks, his head nodding towards the screen above. "What you said about me."

"I.. I did." You uncover your face, using your nervous energy to hold onto the box of tissues instead, squeezing the life out of the poor box. "Every word. You saved me and I'm grateful." You look down in shame, unable to utter the next words while looking him in the face. "I- I know it's weird, to like someone you know so little about-”

"Bakugou Katsuki."

"Huh?"

"My name, is Bakugou Katsuki." He grips your chin gently and tugs you to look at him. He had a small grin on his face. "Go to dinner with me and I'll debate letting you call me Katsuki."

Polyarchives Robot!Martin Au

so Martin is a robot that Jon, Tim, and Sasha programmed and designed as a bit of a chore-keeper around their house. it's not uncommon for them to get home late, or just be busy and tired, and dishes and cleaning up becomes a much harder task than it was that morning. so the three of them (who are, in fact, dating btw) create this robot that is able to help them with the chores.

at first, that's all the robot was. he helped with chores and such, but it doesn't take long for the three of them to start to get slightly attached. The same way one would a roomba. And then Sasha and Tim came up with a name for him, because they can't just go around calling this very helpful robot an 'it'. and so the name 'Martin' is born, mostly because it's a small pun based on tin man. Tin man. Mantin. Martin. Tim is elated that the name sticks.

And so Martin is given a name. And it's around this time that Martin started to gain a bit of sentience. No I don't have a good reason for this, they just got so attached to him that he was given life. But Martin had seen other robots like him, it's unnatural for beings like him to be able to think like his humans are. So he tried to go about his daily chores without showing emotion.

But Jon stays so long slouched over his desk, looking frustrated and on the verge of tears. So he does what he's seen the other two humans do in the past, and brought Jon a cup of tea. Jon, of course, is very confused because this wasn't something they had programmed Martin to do. But maybe Tim or Sasha told the machine to bring him a cup. Either way, Jon still thanks Martin and sends him off.

Next is Sasha, who Martin discovered scowling down at a few pieces of paper, much like Jon had done the week prior. But this was unusual for Sasha. She seemed to always enjoy the work she did at home? Not to mention the time of night. Jon and Tim had both already gone to bed, and he doesn't miss the way her eyes droop close before snapping open, only to repeat the same process. And so Martin walked to Sasha's side, copying what he had seen the others do to Jon. "It is nearly 2 a.m. You need sleep for tomorrow, and you will not get enough if you continue to stay awake." He had pressed a little, and soon was practically carrying Sasha over to her bed. Sasha looked at their robot curiously. This wasn't normal behavior for him, certainly not anything they had programmed for him. But she thanked him nonetheless.

The last person Martin helps is Tim. He'd always thought Tim put at least some of his happy face on display, and the crying he heard from Tim's room when the others were gone one day only solidifies his idea. Martin walked carefully up the stairs to Tim's bedroom, knocking carefully before opening the door. Tim was sat on his bed, knees tucked up to his chest and face puffy and red with tears. He looked up at Martin, wiping his tears away as the robot sat down on the bed beside him. "You are sad. The others are concerned when you're sad. Can I help?" And Tim, knowing full well how strange it was, wrapped his arms tightly around Martin, continuing his sobbing into the robot's shoulder. And so Martin did what he so frequently saw the others do, and pulled Tim closer, wrapping his arms around him as well.

After the last event, Tim, Sasha, and Jon come together and tell each other of the odd behavior they had seen Martin do. It wasn't a sign of malfunction, possibly mimicking what they had seen each other do. processing information and then applying it?" Jon had asked, but Tim was quick to deny it.

"He seemed too attached for it just to be a programming thing. And I know it seems really bizarre but..I just think we should, I dunno, ask him?" Tim had suggested. And Sasha, despite knowing full well what machines were and weren't capable of feeling, agreed with Tim.

"He did carry me to bed the other night. Said that it was late. I know we do that to Jon a lot, but it was almost like he wouldn't rest until he knew I was resting." Sasha explained, and finally Jon nodded.

When they asked Martin about the things he had done for them, his immediate reaction is fear, an emotion he didn't feel very often, but was coming to hate with a passion. "I am only doing what you have programmed me to do. Help." He tries, though the slight fidgeting his fingers begin to do makes the three humans press further.

When Martin does finally break, telling them that he has gained the ability to feel, the three are both confused and yet a little excited, and even more curious.

Bit of a timeskip because that's a lot of stuff to deal with

Eventually Jon catches himself saying goodbye to Martin every time he leaves, even helping Martin with chores he seemed to struggle with. Sasha introduced Martin to books, and when she catches a messy words on a page, clearly written by the robot, she can't help but feel somewhat proud. And Tim starts to bring Martin along on 'adventures', showing him around their neighborhood and going to see the trees and flowers and animals that lived around their small house. Martin grows increasingly attached to Sasha and Tim, but can't help but feel that Jon is..distant. And so one day, Martin invited Jon on a little adventure of their own. He remembered the long walk Tim had taken him on, out into the countryside.

And out in the field are one of Martin's favorite things he had encountered so far (despite his humans, of course.) A scattered herd of cows. Jon felt the pressure from the last few days leave his body with the wind, and he turned and thanked Martin, for helping him unwind. He pressed his face into Martin's chest, and Martin wraps his arms around Jon in return.

A few weeks later, Martin is formerly invited to join Tim, Sasha, and Jon's relationship, and Martin has never been happier to accept an offer.

~+Breathe+~

I’m having another huge writing burnout.. so sorry. Thank you so much for all the support and the patience! This one’s a little short, but it was inspired by Louie Zong’s “Breathe”. I’ll try to post the next part of the Golden Hours series soon, but I’ve just been so busy. Enjoy!

Y/N: Your name, F/G: Favorite game, E/C: Eye color, Y/N/N: Your nickname

-+The room was warm. A gentle haze spread around the pair as time passed. Many games had been played at this point, including some F/G, which Mondo enjoyed much more than Y/N expected. They now rested on Y/N’s bed, laying on their pillows and facing the ceiling.

“Where do you think we go when we die?”

“Shut up, Y/N.” They laughed.

“Okay, okay. Why did you want to become a carpenter?” Mondo paused, a small smile across his features. He had a little dimple on his right cheek, Y/N noticed.

“I dunno. I wanted to be creative. Daiya and I always split wood and had extra so sometimes I’d make shit out of it when I was bored.” They nodded slowly.

“So you weren’t an electronic guy?” Mondo shook his head no.

“We couldn’t really afford it at first. When we could I really liked them, but I definitely preferred the outdoors.” Y/N snickered. That makes two of us. “You obviously prefer technology, with you wanting to be a writer and digitally drawing in your spare time.”

“Yeah. I never really went outside as a kid. My parents couldn’t really bring me many places except our properties or a family member’s house, so I never really got to experience much until I was like, 7-8. That was around the time my happiness started to slump.” Mondo frowned.

“That young?”

“Yeah… still dunno what really caused it.” Y/N shrugged. Mondo shook his head sadly, clearly disappointed. They could understand why, it was kind of upsetting hearing that their personality took a 360 degree turn that young. They both faded into a comfortable silence. Mondo glanced over at them, watching their E/C eyes study the popcorn ceiling of the dorm room. Their eyes were really enticing. Y/N caught him staring and gently smiled at him. “Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” Mondo flushed a deep red, his lavender eyes widening and contrasting hard against his skin. Y/N began laughing. “Jesus- sorry! I’ve always wanted to say that to somebody!” Their head threw back against the pillow, laughing a bit harder. Mondo groaned and covered his eyes in embarrassment.

“You suck, Y/N/N.” Y/N giggled, holding in a snort and covered their mouth.

“I know, I know.” Y/N bumped their head into his shoulder playfully. For the second that it was there, he felt warmer and at peace. But it was gone so quickly that it was hard to acknowledge. Mondo turned his head to look back at them. Their shoulders still shook with held in laughter. Y/N turned their head towards him as well. Their voice became quieter, laced with mischeif. “You’re a dork, Mondo.” He fauxed offense.

“Me? You’re the dork here, Y/N.” He slowly leaned in, his forehead hitting theirs. His hair tickled their nose as he had put it in a very loose ponytail a while ago. God did he look hot with his hair up. Y/N smiled, their eyes closing halfway and humming quietly. They clearly didn’t agree.

…

Slowly, Y/N reached their hand to his, which was resting in front of him. He stiffened and quickly looked down at it, but Y/N pulled away.

“Sorry! I don’t know what I was thinking.” Mondo paused, their eyes locking. He could see how nervous they were, now looking anywhere but him or the game they had abandoned long ago. He gently placed his hand on top of theirs.

“No, it’s okay.”

…

The pair smiled. After a bit of hesitation from the two of them, they eventually became intertwined and were legit cuddling. Like holy shit oh my god.

“...Is this...normal?” Y/N’s head lifted to look up at Mondo. Their head was about an inch from his chest originally, so it was kind of embarrassing, plus hard to look at him.

“Umm. Yeah, kind of. Friends cuddle.” Mondo slowly nodded, mumbling an ‘okay’ under his breath. He didn’t want this to be labeled as a friend cuddle session.

...Breathe in…

His hand snaked around Y/N’s side and into their hair.

...Breathe out.

Y/N held their breath for a moment, waiting in anticipation now that Mondo’s hand rested in their hair. He finally began to run his finger through it. Barely, and very tantalizing slow. Probably testing the waters. But as they started to adjust, he quickly removed his hand. Y/N scooted in closer to Mondo, putting their head on his chest and turning so they could breathe better. Mondo now had clear access to their expression. It was… very peaceful, compared to Y/N’s recent peak of stress. Their eyes were lolled shut, but they were very obviously awake as her breathing was a bit abnormal, and her heart was beating much faster than normal. Mondo took this as a good sign and put his fingers through their hair again. Their body shuddered, making him freeze. But since they did not move again, he continued to do what he was doing. Slowly, their breathing slowed and heart rate slowed, the crease in their eyebrows slowly evening out.

Thankfully, Y/N was finally relaxed and asleep. Calm and not overworking themselves. He had forced himself into their dorm this morning and immediately stopped them from working. He arrived around 8:30am, and Y/N was already up. Apparently Y/N had gotten up at 6:45 and had been working since. This was obviously unacceptable, since they had been working all last night and, obviously, for weeks and weeks. Enough was enough. Mondo was able to force them to relax all day and hang out with him in various spots- the dining hall, the rec room, the garden, the gym and locker room, etc. Finally, finally he had gotten them to sleep peacefully. At 8:56pm, too. Not too shabby. And finally, he had gotten close to them. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling, and in a sudden act of love, placed a delicate kiss on the top of her head.

…

Nothing. Y/N continued to sleep on. Actually, they started drooling a minute ago, which made it obvious that they were definitely out cold now. He chuckled. Mondo would be stuck here until they both woke up eventually. He suppressed a yawn and let his eyes flutter shut. Tomorrow would be a good day.

He couldn’t wait to tell Daiya about this.+-

Fave book: ugh it's been a good while since i have even so much as Touched a book. but uh The Scarlet Pimpernel is still the one I advocate reading if you can parse older English writing. it's a vigilante story during the French Revolution and it inspired Batman. and it's funny as hell sometimes. read it

Fave song currently: Breezy Slide by BDG and Louie Zong was the collab of the century and it's easily wormed its way into my ears

Fave flower: i still have such a soft spot for pansies. they're little and colorful and so very soft and delicate and i just like em a lot

Fave anime: pfffff uhhhhh that's hard. i genuinely think Free! Iwatobi Swim Club is probably the anime I love the most and have the least issues with in its entirety... though I've only seen the first two seasons and haven't caught up with the rest of it yet. it's got everything you'd ever want out of an anime. it gives you beautiful visuals, fun and adorable moments, and also scenes that will rip your heart out and make you think about your life

Fave film: Ah Yes. Films. the things i definitely watch a lot of. honest to god idk if i could name a film that i would rank definitively above others cuz i like a lot of em but i couldn't really tell you why have a few for reasons: the Steven Universe movie is a ride, i watched Howl's Moving Castle a second time right after watching it for the first time, and Happy Feet. no further explanation
