My new inkle loom arrived last week & I’m so in love! I spent the weekend warping and starting the weaving of a simple tablet band to teach myself this technique. The design is out of the ‘Tablets at Work’ book and isn’t twist neutral, hence I used swivels at the warp ends.

In thinking about the upcoming new year, I was also thinking about how they really do seem to zip by faster and faster the further along we go. Especially from when were were still in school. I don't often draw "pre-transition me", but to do childhood flashbacks, It's kinda a must. Admittedly, the "bucket-hat" era of my youth was a little later than grade school, but it happened. I tried HATS for a while as ways to establish anything as an identity other than what I already had figured out, but that's a story in and of itself. ;)

Noctis has some serious skills when it comes to swords. When he warps with the Katana of the Warrior the sword is in it's scabbard, as the sword flies through the air it is unsheathed but when Noct catches it, it is back in it's scabbard again. That's pretty nifty!

Why and/or how was tomura able to resist the sludge warping quirk?

Some people argue it's a matter of Tomura willpowering through it or that he simply skirted the Quirk by eating the goo instead of having it over take him. Which are fine explanations, but I prefer to think otherwise. "Warping" requires that the user have some kind of closeness to the target. Tomura is able to ignore warping due to him rejecting All For One as an ally. To me, that just makes more sense with the mechanics of the Quirk and the context of Tomura affirming his independence and desires free from All For One's influence.

Warping for my new project. This... will... take... a while...

I am planning to warp the entire width of this thing. Well, maybe without the edge 5 lines or so. And the warp is 3m long.

I don't have a warping comb to help with this, so I'm warping from the front, through the reed, and I'll roll it on the back, pull the ends off the rod, thread the heddles and reslay the reed. I know. Overcomplicated, but works for me :)

Comm - Reality Djinn (Inanimate TF/Possession)

This week continues some monstrous comms with one by @PlayfulElegy, and sees a smug spirit who seems to have hijacked my body from the inside! Look closely, and you might notice a familiar, frightened expression - coming from solely within nothing but a pair of glasses. That's because, shamefully, those would happen to be my body after contending with this creature - in essence, a reality djinn inspired by some other old art of the subject by Hoffi from way back when. I was pretty taken with their concept - one's own unhinged and chaotic desires or will basically becoming the dominant personality, and ousting the classic one from its body.
