ok i think i know why hte songs on dreamland don't grip me by the throat the same way the songs on zaba or htbahb do, esp looking at tangerine and hot sugar there is barely any tension in the songs, its all so static whereas in songs like walla walla or like acc every song from the other albums theres a fuck tonne of tension . idk dremland feels so flat compared to the older albums. some of the songs are good dont get me wrong but idk nothing on that album compares to anything on zaba

I love Fallout. I really do. I think the medium of the game sort of limits the ecosystem more than a little though. I love thinking of what sort of fucked up ‘evolutionary’ shirt might happen to the wildlife (particularly near the Big MT where we KNOW they’ve been experimenting.) So, I was thinking of Mojave native animals and what a crazy scientist might combine if they wanted to make THE ULTIMATE CREATURE-- and so I present to you the Wallawail. (A quail, chuckwalla, and brook trout all combined for an easily breed-able food source but the project was abandoned and the result escaped into the Mojave. I figure the Wallawail is a species that benefits from living near people (particularly farmers) and the farmers in turn benefit as well since Wallawail are natural predators of the large mutated aphids and other abnormally sized insects of the wasteland. They also are a natural deterrent to Molerats as the Molerats drown in the watery tunnels. Wallawail burrows are usually watery and go deep, deep underground into the natural underground water systems and ultimately are in-fuckin-possible to get rid of-- the only way one might get rid of a burrow is by poisoning the water but uh, that of course would be a fucking stupid thing to do.

Meet me on the Equinox Meet me halfway When the sun is perched at its highest peek In the middle of the day
Let me give my love to you Let me take your hand And as we walk in the dimming light Oh, darling, understand
That everything, everything ends That everything, everything ends
Meet me on your best behavior Meet me at your worst For there will be no stone unturned Or bubble left to burst
Let me lay beside you, darling Let me be your man And let our bodies intertwine But always understand
That everything, everything ends That everything, everything ends That everything, everything, everything ends
A window An opened tomb The sun crawls across your bedroom A halo A waiting room Your last breaths moving through you
As everything, everything ends As everything, everything ends As everything, everything, everything Everything, everything, everything ends
Meet me on the Equinox Meet me halfway When the sun is perched at its highest peek In the middle of the day
Let me give my love to you Let me take your hand And as we walk in the dimming light Oh, darling, understand
That everything, everything ends

Had a Tumblr account for only around eighteen hours or so and I really like the emphasis on interests over people, if that makes sense. As someone with an obsessive nature it's a lot more constructive. Although I am having to find ways to adapt to find the niche interests I want to engage with. Speaking of which, any blog recommendations for historical old West content? As opposed to idealized old West stuff. Less gunslingers with cowboy hats and bandanas, more mining operations, indigenous accounts of the time, tragedies of thirst and hunger in the Rocky Mountains and the Great Basin. I'd like to remove the seperation between the savagery of the settlement of the place I live which the local people especially don't like to engage with in a non-Romanticized way.

Living on the Sound it is so easy to take the ferries for granted.  I'm so glad no one was hurt.  I’ve ridden that route more times than I remember, back in the oughts.

"A December investigation by Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that Israel implemented against its own civilians captured on 7 October a version of its Hannibal directive: Israel used overwhelming lethal force even at the risk of killing Israelis along with their Palestinian captors, in order to avoid leaving them alive to be held captive in Gaza, and to avoid having to pay a steep political price for their return. Although Israel’s application of the Hannibal directive was widespread on 7 October, its implementation at the Cohen home stands out because more captives were killed there than in any other single structure on that day. One high-ranking Israeli officer called the army’s actions there an 'exponential Hannibal.' ... In late December the ranking officer who led Israel’s reconquest of the kibbutz – 99th Infantry Division commander and then commander-in-waiting of the Gaza Division, Brig. Gen. Barak Hiram – admitted to The New York Times that he ordered an Israeli tank to fire shells at the house, though he knew there were still-living Israeli captives inside. 'Break in, even at the cost of civilian casualties,' Hiram recalled ordering the tank commander. ... It is unlikely that the Israeli army will either fully endorse his explanations of the 'mass Hannibal' incident at Pessi Cohen’s house, or reveal all it knows about what really happened there on 7 October, because to do so would force it to undercut a pillar of Israeli propaganda about the events of that day: that Hamas heartlessly executed Israeli babies – a lie promoted by Hiram, but first invented by the commander of the Israeli army’s home front national rescue unit, Colonel Golan Vach.
... The day after Vach invented the lie of eight burned babies at the Pessi Cohen house, Yasmin Porat retold her survival story to the Israeli press, this time to Kan radio. Again she explained how she and a group of Israelis that included no small children were violently captured by Hamas and held hostage at Pessi Cohen’s home, but thereafter treated humanely and neither executed nor harmed in any other way. ... Colonel Golan Vach’s new allegations of 19 and even 23 Israeli civilians murdered by Hamas at the Cohen home created a serious problem for General Hiram, who had ordered the tank shelling. Vach’s tallies of the number of Israeli civilians killed there were up to 50 percent higher than the correct figures repeatedly reported by Yasmin Porat, who survived the bloodbath. Worse yet, Vach had introduced eight infants into the death toll – babies who had never existed. Hiram then had no choice but to alter his rendition of events, inflating the figures he had divulged to the Israeli news outlet Walla two weeks earlier. ... Hiram’s numerous lies about the battle at the Be’eri home of Pessi Cohen were apparently attempts to shield himself from the consequences of his command decisions. ... It is likely that Hiram’s main motive for lying about the events at Be’eri was to avoid repercussions for ending the lives of Israeli civilians in one of the most ghastly ways imaginable, burning them to death. ... Army rescue chief Colonel Golan Vach, however, who only arrived at Be’eri hours after those decisive tank shells were shot, did not lie about the battle out of loyalty to Hiram. Rather, he had his own motive for spinning Israel’s military failures into anti-Semitic atrocity tales: to manufacture consent for Israel’s utter annihilation of the Gaza Strip.
... Because of his stature and reputation, Israel’s national rescue chief Golan Vach was believed by reporters and editors all over the world, who published his bald-faced lies about Palestinians decapitating and burning to death Israeli babies on 7 October, even without any evidence. ... If they had only dismissed his gaslighting and done their due diligence, those same media outlets would have found plenty of evidence in the public domain of Vach’s desire 'to clear this region' of Palestinians without regard for 'human rights' from well before that date."

"I did not expect that the fact that I am an Israeli who visited Israel a few weeks ago would be a red flag that requires questioning," Neriya Ashwal told Walla. Israeli student Neriya Ashwal landed at an airport near Nottingham last Friday and was detained for questioning by the anti-terrorism unit, according to Walla. Neriya is an Israeli student studying in Barcelona. Last weekend, he had an unpleasant experience when he went on a short visit to Britain for a few days, landing at the small East Midlands airport outside Nottingham on Friday. During questioning at the border control, he was asked if he had recently visited Israel, and he answered yes. He was then forced to undergo a more in-depth questioning by no less than the anti-terrorism unit. After the border control officer asked the usual series of questions, Neriya was asked if he had recently visited Israel. "I answered yes and said I had visited family and friends three weeks ago. The border control officer called someone on the phone and reported that they had an Israeli who had visited Israel recently," Neriya told Walla in a phone call from Barcelona. "He nodded, hung up, and asked me to sit and wait on the side. The passport remained with him. "He continued, "After about a quarter of an hour, three uniformed police officers arrived, talked to each other, looked in my direction, and after another five minutes, two more people in civilian clothes arrived and escorted me to an interrogation room. "The most senior of them told me, 'We are from the anti-terrorism unit. You have nothing to worry about. You are not detained. We just want to have a short conversation. You may go if you choose, but if you choose to go, we will detain you.' "They started by asking the usual questions again: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why did I come? Where do I plan to stay? What exactly do I plan to do? But then it took a left turn. "They started asking, 'Were you in the army?' Were you a combat soldier? 'I told them that I had diabetes and that I was not a fighter but in intelligence." They continued: 'Were you in the field?' I answered no, while it seemed to me that I already understood what they were looking to hear and what they weren't. They continued with questions about the visit, 'When you were in Israel, did you have any role in the army?' I answered 'no' to that as well." Neriya says that at the end of the questioning, they asked for proof of all his plans for the weekend, a return flight ticket, booking a place to stay, and a bus ticket to London. "They tried to be nice, and when the most senior of them left the room, the junior said to me: 'We don't have a problem with you, but because you come from this region, we just want to make sure. There are simply others who come here with other intentions, you know.' "The senior officer then returned to the room and said that I was allowed to go but that they wanted to check my bag first. Another policeman arrived and completely turned my bag over from end to end. He found nothing. Of course. In good time, after an hour, I was free again." Following the incident, Neriya addressed a letter to Israel's current ambassador to the UK Tzipi Hotovely and mentioned the similar case of Nova survivors, the Sharabi brothers, who were detained at Manchester airport about a month ago. He also mentioned that he is bringing his case from last week to the attention of the Foreign Ministry because, according to him, "If there is an instruction/policy/or even a local initiative by the border control officers to detain and interrogate any Israeli who is leaving military service or an Israeli who recently visited Israel. This is a disturbing phenomenon that Israeli officials need to recognize and deal with through the official channels."

Not Like Her - E.M [fem reader probably. Maybe neutral?]
Toxic bf Eddie Munson
Adult language. Angst. Hurt/slight comfort but not really. OK ending kinda.
Tumblr media
"Why can you just be like-"
"Like what, Eddie? Like her?!"
"No- I didn't mean- I. Fuck-"
"I'm not, Eddie! I'm not her. And if you can't understand that then this isn't going to work! I'm sick of it. Sick of you comparing me to your ex. All the damn time!"
"Don't twist things. I don't compare you to her. Don't fucking lie!"
"Lie? Lie?! Do you remember what you said yesterday? You said that your ex wouldn't of made the cocktails like that. Wouldn't of made those kinds of drinks. Would've invited more people. Would've kept calm and composed when your ass of a friend broke MY t.v."
"Hey- OK-! That was a fuckin accident and I was just commenting. I was joking-!"
"Oh yeah. Haha. So fucking funny Eddie!"
"You want her soooo bad Eddie, why don't you sneak round her house again, huh? Go have a quick fuck and come back to me for seconds. You thought I wouldn't find out? Turns out your friends aren't as shitty of a person as you. Turns out they actually care about me. And MY fucking feelings."
You fell silent, waiting for whatever pathetic excuse was going to come from Eddie's mouth. Watching as his jaw hang slacked as he struggled to form some sort of lie. Some sort of coherent sentence to dig himself out of the grave. It almost gave you an ounce of satisfaction but the moment was short lived.
"It didn't mean anything- baby plea-"
"Just get out. Just get the fuck out Eddie. We're done. I'm done with your lies. Your games. Your sneaking out. I'm not here to just be used when it's convenient. Maybe I'll go for Steve. Maybe he'll be a better man than you ever were."
The suggestion clearly rose a jealous fire inside the taller man but you couldn't care less now. You would hurt his feelings if it got him to realise he had truly lost you and all chances he had before. He didn't leave right away. It took you calling Steve for him to storm past you, shoving you into the walla almost, and walk out the door. Slamming it. Another new door you needed to now fix.
"Hey...you free tonight? We can rent that movie you wanted to watch. Bill and Ted? I've got plenty of snacks" you offered, though you could tell Steve was already trying to pull on his shoes as he had been waiting for this moment. You told him you'd watch Bill and Ted when you dumped Eddie's pathetic ass. And now you had to keep your word.

ISRAELI OCCUPATION FORCES ATTACK YEMEN'S PORT CITY OF HEDEIDAH
📹 Fires burn in the port city of Hodeidah in western Yemen after the Israeli occupation army launched a series of airstrikes on the city, resulting in a raging conflagration and a number of casualties.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched an airstrike on Saturday, targeting Yemen's western port city of Hodeidah on the Red Sea, triggering a large conflagration in an oil refinery and resulting in an unknown number of casualties.
The strikes were a response to a drone strike on Friday launched by the Yemeni Armed Forces that collided with an apartment building in Tel Aviv, killing one Israeli citizen and wounding at least 10 others.
Reporting and video from the strikes show the port of Hodeidah burning in a massive conflagration after the reported strike, which Hebrew media Channel-12 cited Al-Mayadeen News as stating the strike had been conducted by an Israeli F-35 fighter jet, while an American official confirmed the claim in an interview with the Israeli media outlet "Walla".
Yemeni media reporting on the attack confirmed the Israeli occupation's raids targeted an oil refinery in the port of Hodeidah, resulting in a large fire.

Maybe it's just me or something, but so many people commenting on Glass Animals' new songs stuff like "this is just basic pop music" or "I wish they'd go back to Zaba" kinda pisses me off? Like are you fans of GA or are you just fans of Zaba?
And this is coming from me. My favorite album IS Zaba. My favorite song of all time from GA is Walla Walla. And I understand being upset that the album is just, quote, 'Dreamland 2.0' but at the same time it's kind of shitty to be like "grrr go back to what you did before" when GA has been evolving in a way that I find really interesting. Like listening to the songs in ILYSFM they HAVE musical motifs from previous albums (my friend and I noticed a lot from HTBAHB and Dreamland) that have continued through their albums and I think that's really cool!
Like idk maybe I'm upset for a dumb reason but I've been a fan since Zaba first came out when I was 10 and listening to it with my aunt. And I get where people are coming from and how upset they are, it's just really disheartening to hear and see fans saying "oh I don't like this they fell off" when I think it's interesting. Especially because the songs in ILYSFM, to me at the very least, sound like a culmination of all their previous albums together. It sounds like a mix between HTBAHB and Dreamland and I think it's cool! I know it's not everyones thing, and I understand that, but everyone just seems so aggressive about it.

A/n: I know late again, I apologize!! Got distracted by hazbin hotel and the new genshin update, but still, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY LYNEY AND LYNETTE!! Love them both so much and the "surprise" element in their letters AGHHH SO CUTE!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𑁍༄Lynette:
You blushed as Lynette ever so slightly smiled at you, she'd tried her best to act surprised when you appeared out of thin air but...she knew you were going to be at the party before you even did and despite yours and Lyneys best efforts to hide everything...she wasn't surprised in the slightest. Still she seemed happy, watching you and her brother do tricks while she sipped her tea and pondered how one person could make the tradition her and her brother shared...that much better.
"Happy birthday Lyney and Lynette!" You cheered and for a split second she felt her heart skip a beat...maybe there was a surprise awaiting her after all.
Tumblr media
𑁍༄Lyney:
You couldn't contain your laughter, watching Lyney give trick after trick and a gift along the way, sure they were supposed to be surprises and his sister knew them all already, but he didn't give up. In fact he didn't even falter the entire performance! Maybe he thought he'd actually have something up his sleeve she'd never guess or maybe he was just having fun despite her lack of surprise, but he clearly was down sat in the slightest.
"And walla! Thank you for watching my show!" He bowed in front of you and Lynette while the two of you clapped loudly. It wasn't the loudest applause he'd ever heard, but this one...was special. Simply cause you were there too.

Former Israeli intelligence and security official Yuval Malka told Hebrew media on 25 July that Washington has greenlit a wider war on Lebanon.
“According to the information I received from the delegation and what I know, Netanyahu has received full legitimacy in the United States to wage a war in Lebanon,” Malka told Israel’s Channel 14.
“When he arrives in the country, he is expected to head to the ‘Al-Bur’ in Al-Kiryah, and from there he will start the war in Lebanon,” he added, referring to a military complex that houses the headquarters of the Israeli army’s different corps.
Netanyahu visited Washington this week for a speech in Congress and talks with officials.
The Israeli army has reportedly signaled to the government that the time is ripe for an expanded war against Lebanon, according to a defense analyst for Hebrew media.
“The Israeli army is prepared for a major ground maneuver in Lebanon and warns: Any delay will be in Hezbollah’s favor when there is progress in the background in negotiations to release the hostages,” said Amir Bohbot, military editor and senior defense analyst for Israeli news site Walla, on 24 July.
“The Israeli army is sending a signal to the government – we are at the height of preparations for war in the north, and now is the right time,” he added.
Citing sources, Bohbot says, “postponement for another year or two will lead to the rehabilitation and alignment of Hezbollah and all parties,” and that “the achievements of the Israeli army will be in vain … Hezbollah will have difficulty launching a campaign against Israel without the two division commanders [recently assassinated by Israel].”
“The IDF confirms that the forces trained for the ground maneuver mission in Lebanon, including forces that have gained significant experience in the Gaza Strip, raise the IDF to a very high level of competence.”
Meanwhile, Hebrew newspaper Makan reported that the Israeli navy held a reception ceremony on Wednesday for two new US-made landing ships at a naval base in Haifa.
Combat systems will be installed on the two vessels before they enter service on “several fronts.”
Despite Bohbot’s comments, Maariv newspaper reported on Wednesday that the Israeli army is losing its readiness to launch an all-out war against Lebanon and Hezbollah because its forces have been worn out from almost 300 days of fighting in Gaza.
Hezbollah released the third episode of its “Hoopoe” series on 24 July, revealing recent drone footage of the sensitive and strategic Ramat David Airbase and several other important sites it is capable of striking in the event of all-out war with Israel.
The Lebanese resistance group has recently struck new Israeli settlements not previously targeted in response to assassinations and indiscriminate Israeli attacks on south Lebanon.
Its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has warned Israel that it is prepared to fight “without limits, rules, or restraints” if a wide-scale war is waged against Lebanon.
In a speech on 17 July, Nasrallah responded to increased Israeli threats against Lebanon and to a recent Hebrew media report that Tel Aviv faces a significant shortage of tanks due to losses in Gaza, saying, “If your tanks come to Lebanon and its south, you will not suffer a shortage of tanks because you will have no tanks left.”

🔹Unusual IDF air traffic over Tel Aviv (as of 9:30 PM).
🔹HEAVY IDF air traffic over Eilat (as of 10:30 PM).
🔹GPS JAMMING ON.. Walla: The IDF has increased the use of GPS jammers in the area of the city of Eilat, on the border of Jordan and in the northern area near the border of Lebanon
🔹A senior official in the Iranian leadership, a former member of the Revolutionary Guards: Iran is at the peak of preparations for an attack on Israel, and what happened today in Gaza (the fake massacre) only proves its intentions.
🔹JORDAN SAYS.. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi in an interview with the Saudi Al-Arabiya channel: "Jordan will not be a battlefield for any side. We emphasized to Iran and Israel that we will not allow the use of our airspace, and we informed them that we will shoot down any target in the skies of Jordan.
🔹US Amphibious assault ship and helicopter carrier Wasp has docked in Cyprus.
🔸DEAL NEWS.. Minister Smotrich on deal negotiations: “Just as the US would reject international pressure to reach a surrender agreement with Al Qaeda and bin Laden, so Israel will not submit to any external pressure that would harm Israel's security.
The Sinwar surrender agreement, which leaves most of the hostages to die, which frees many murderers, returns the terrorists to the north of the Gaza Strip, abandons the border and allows Hamas to smuggle weapons and restore its strength in order to return and attack Israel as an arm of Iran, is bad for Israel and endangers its security, and we will oppose it with all our might. No criticism and no attack will distract me from the goal.”
The White House spokesperson John Kirby replies: Smotrich endangers the hostages.
🔥MAJOR WILDFIRE in the north due to today’s suicide drone barrage.
▪️DRUE DEMONSTRATION.. The Druze demonstration that was planned for tomorrow at Beit Leid was canceled - it was decided to give another chance to solve the issue (of a Druze soldier being held accused of prisoner abuse) in other ways.

▪️PROTEST - ANTI-GOVT, SMALL.. Kaplan protests have shrunk.. (Haaretz) In the shadow of a drop in donations and internal criticism, the organizers of the protest against the government are forced to recalculate a course. The main point of the internal audit is that the main goals of the protest were not achieved even after ten months. The organizers are considering stopping the weekly demonstrations in Kaplan.
▪️EXPLOSION IN RAMAT GAN.. criminal (mafia?), a grenade at a house on Tel Chai Street.
