Some selections from my trip to Erewhon with Isa today. I always loved White Castle’s “chicken rings” where they take processed meat that has gone through an unspeakable system of production and perform a strange act of honesty by shaping it into an abstract form (torus). It's slightly different from chicken nuggets/ tenders which involve random shapes that are less “ideal” and more like mountain ranges and rocks. Burgers and McChickens on the other hand simply let the meat follow the form of the buns. At Erewhon the liver pill supplement (obfuscating its gory interior with a shell of bovine gelatin, also derived from animals of course) exists alongside the “authentic” packaging of a brand called “HealthForce SuperFoods” that calls to mind the album art of some ethnographic didgeridoo record. Meanwhile Erewhon brand products themself sit somewhere between Off-White strategic-intervention design and Basic Channel style pyschedelia. I am flooded with this feeling that design and the world have a relation more like quantum entanglement than any sort of dialectic.

My good friend Jonathan has made it to Dracula castle at last! Although his travels were a little more stressful than he would have liked. I’m not worried though!!! He’s always sooo dramatic!!!

So what do we start with?

There are many odd things to put down, and, lest who reads them may fancy that I dined too well before I left Bistritz, let me put down my dinner exactly.

Of course. 🤦‍♀️ I sure hope this love for food won’t be used to quiet his survival instincts later in the evening…!

I could hear a lot of words often repeated, queer words, for there were many nationalities in the crowd; so I quietly got my polyglot dictionary from my bag and looked them out. I must say they were not cheering to me, for amongst them were "Ordog"—Satan, "pokol"—hell, "stregoica"—witch, "vrolok" and "vlkoslak"—both of which mean the same thing, one being Slovak and the other Servian for something that is either were-wolf or vampire. (Mem., I must ask the Count about these superstitions) (😢)

The Background Characters Of Ever After High

Hey Alexa, play Who Is She by I Monster

credits to @eah-backgrounders for all the ideas/inspirations.

So if you're a fan of EAH, than you know about the background characters.... they're absolutely beautiful but literally who the hell are they? (And why are the animators making literally the best and prettiest background characters and letting them go to waste?)

This is basically like a catalog of the background characters, I'm gonna try to fit this into part 1. Again credits to @eah-backgrounders.

Feel free to comment name ideas or who you think the characters are.

#1: Red and Purple Haired Girl

This is the daughter from the German fairytale The seven Ravens (she doesn’t have a name yet). She was seated on the rebel side for Legacy Day, obviously because Raven is taken, I feel like she should have a bird name.

If you're too lazy to search it up: "A peasant has seven sons and no daughter. Finally a daughter is born, but is sickly. The father sends his sons to fetch water for her, in the German version to be baptized, in the Greek version to take water from a healing spring. In their haste, they drop the jug in the well. When they do not return, their father thinks that they have gone off to play and curses them and so they turn into ravens. When the sister is grown, she sets out in search of her brothers. She attempts to get help first from the sun, which is too hot, then the moon, which craves human flesh, and then the morning star. The star helps her by giving her a chicken bone (in the German) or a bat's foot (in the Greek) and tells her she will need it to save her brothers. She finds them on the Glass Mountain. In the Greek version, she opens it with the bat's foot, in the German, she has lost the bone, and chops off a finger to use as a key, (or she opens it with chicken bone). She goes into the mountain, where a dwarf tells her that her brothers will return. She takes some of their food and drink and leaves, in the last cup, a ring from home. When her brothers return, she hides. They turn back into human form and ask who has been at their food. The youngest brother finds the ring, and hopes it is their sister, in which case they are saved. She emerges, and they return home."

So since she's a female, I'm going to assume she's the eight child, I think that her name should be like Star or Eight, I'm not sure about the surname. Maybe Raven or Seven.

#2: Princess Wearing Blue and White

Sandra Castle, her fairytale is the Polish Fairytale, The Glass Mountain. She can be seen in True Heart's Day with her boyfriend.

The Glass Mountain: The Polish story begins with: On a glass mountain grew a tree with golden apples. An apple would let the picker into the golden castle where an enchanted princess lived. Many knights had tried and failed, so that many bodies lay about the mountain. A knight in golden armor tried. One day, he made it halfway up and calmly went down again. The second day, he tried for the top, and was climbing steadily when an eagle attacked him. He and his horse fell to their deaths. A schoolboy killed a lynx and climbed with its claws attached to his feet and hands. Weary, he rested on the slope. The eagle thought he was carrion and flew down to eat him. The boy grabbed it, and it, trying to shake him off, carried him the rest of the way. He cut off its feet and fell into the apple tree. The peels of the apples cured his wounds, and he picked more, to let him into the castle. He married the princess. The blood of the eagle restored to life everyone who had died trying to climb the mountain.

I believe the boy she was with in True Heart's Day is the schoolboy she's supposed to marry because he looks like a regular ol' schoolboy.

#3: Jamie Hook

The myth, the legend, the baddest alive. Jamie Hook, literally one of the most iconic background characters ever. Jamie Hook is obviously the daughter of Captain Hook. The main disagreement most people have is her name because I've seen Veronic, Jane, Jannett, Helen, but I think Jamie suits her best. Also I'm pretty sure she's dating Pan's daughter.

#4 Tulip Dress Girl (@arte-cat)

Daughter of Princess Rosette from the fairytale of the same name. Her colors are a tribute to her father, the King of the Peacocks, and the flowers just represent the “rose” part of her name. I feel like she'd either be Rosetta Princess or Rosetta Peacock.

#5: Girl In Grey

She's confirmed as Birch, the next Pitch Girl from the fairy tale Mother Holle. She's also twin sister with Grey-Haired Girl.

#6: Golden Haired Girl

Miller Goldenstraw, Daughter of the Miller's daughter from Rumpelstiltskin.

#7: Orange Hair Girl

She is the daughter of one of the Merry Men, from Robin Hood's lore, possibly Allan-a-Dale or Will Scarlet.

#8: Boy With Curly Hair

Scottington Dee, the son of Tweedle Dee.

#9: Blue and Gold Girl

It was confirmed by a team member from Guru Studios that she is the daughter of Yeh Shen, from the Chinese folktale with the same name.

#10: Girl In Orange

She is most likely the daughter of an Hindu Mythology character, like Princess Sita and Prince Rama. Her story may also be from the One Thousands And One Nights or the Arabian Nights collection of stories, such as the princess from the story Aladdin. Her ensemble resembles that of India, from the way her head is adorned all the way down to her pointed shoes, as well as the pattern on her dress. There is also a possibility that she could be the trademarked Amber Midas considering her golden accessories and visibility.

#11: Unicorn Girl

Daughter of the Unicorn who fights for the White King's crown with the Lion in Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There

#12: Lion Boy

Son of the Lion in Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.

#13: Butterfly Girl

This is Cari Pillar, the daughter of the Caterpillar from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, but she also could be related to the Bread-and-Butterfly, a Wonderlandian creature featured in Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.

#14: Grey Haired Girl

She is confirmed to be Maple, the next Golden Girl from the fairy tale Mother Holle, and the twin sister of Birch.

#15: Gold Jewelry Girl

She may be the daughter of the Emperor, from the fairy tale of The Emperor's New Clothes, as her outfit incorporates fashion elements. Considering her feathery accessories, she could also be inspired from other bird-like fairy tales such as The Singing Springing Lark, The Crane Queen, Fitcher's Bird etc.

#16: Turqouise Haired Girl

Irene of Augen, from the Two-Eyes, from One-Eye, Two-Eyes, and Three-Eyes fairy tale.

#17: Girl in White and Gold

She's the daughter of Mother Goose. Her physical attire seem to be in reference to the nursery rhyme Old Mother Goose And The Golden Egg as this character has white and gold embellishments. Even though her story is confirmed, she is unnamed.

#18: Pixie Cut Haired Girl

Her name is Phoenix, and she is the daughter of The Firebird.

#19: Wrist Watch Boy

 The son of the Little Prince from The Little Prince story. In the Destiny conflict he is likely a Rebel, because he supported Maddie for student council president. Again cliche, but I think his name would be Prince, he just gives off that vibe. Maybe he's named after his dad so he's a "Jr" or something.

#20: Orc Boy

I don't know his story but according to a member of Guru Studios staff, his name is Lawrence Bonecrusher III.

#21: Long Haired Boy

He was originally meant to be the next beast, from The Beauty and the Beast. He may be the destined to be the next King of Peacocks or The Bear Prince due to its similar concept. I think he might be either a Schoolboy or one of these things. He wants to follow his destiny because he is a Royal but he's also in a relationship Princess Wearing Blue and White in True Hearts Day, but  he had his arm around Turquoise Haired Girl, so maybe he and the Princess broke up to focus on their destinies.

#22: Orange Haired Prince

His story is king of The Golden Mountain, he doesn't have a confirmed name so maybe it's like George Mountain or something like that.

#23: Droopy Hair Girl

Due to her flowery appearance and stream like stockings, she is assumed to be the daughter of the Princess from the Moon, from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

#24: Skater Dude

He may be the son of the Iron Stove Prince from The Iron Stove story by Brother's Grimm, but honestly idk. I think he likes DJ-ing, so maybe he's in a band. He's def a Rebel.

#25: Wavy Dressed Girl

There are many assumptions about her like her being The Marsh King's Daughter from the story of the same name. She may be from the legend of the White and Green Snake. Several other stories may have inspired her aesthetic such as the fairytale Mossycoat or the swamp fairy from the story Little Daylight. But my personal favorite is her being the daughter of Ida, from the fairy tale Little Ida's Flowers. 

#26: Teal Buns Girl

She, along with Bob Cut Girl, may be based on evil witches in general. She may be the daughter of Mother Trudy, the villain of the fairy tale with the same name.

#27: Pastel Buns Girl

She may be the daughter of the Sugar Plum Fairy, from the ballet The Nutcracker. She could also be the daughter of Jack Horner. I think that Sugar Plum Fairy suits her better because I was thinking her name could be Sadie Plumfairy.

#28: Black Haired Girl

She is the daughter of the Emperor of China, from the fairy tale The Nightingale, by Hans Christian Andersen. Literally why is EAH hiding all these POC from us?

#29: Punk Boy

He may be the son of the protagonist from The Story of the Youth Who Went Forth to Learn What Fear Was. I love his design sm, like omg he's so pretty.

#30: Peter Pan's daughter.

So all I can say is she and Hook's daughter are dating. It's very established (especially in the fandom) that she is Peter Pan's daughter but there is no name for her. I'm gonna go with @vivi-designs name for her and call her Peony Pan.

The Huntsman - “Please, princess, call me Stuart!” escorts you out of the castle for flower picking purposes. You, of course, must again kiss him a couple times before you go your separate ways, but you stomach through it all.

He leaves to find a deer heart, which he can fool Stepmother with and then disappear into the night. As much as you genuinely didn’t like this man, especially after all that convincing you had to do, you warned him of his possible death. You both agreed to meet back in this spot in six month’s time - you lied and said you were going to a cousin on your mother’s side for help.

You head off through the very nice path to the Dwarves home - the first time around, you had unfortunately gone the long way - and delight in seeing your forest friends young and alive again. To be honest, now that you were a queen and a princess regent, you didn’t get a lot of time to spend outside of the castle, so getting to play with animals was a rare activity.

Deciding to treat yourself, you a lot an entire afternoon to frolicking with the fawns, squirrels and other such adorable beasts. If all was truly the same as before, the Dwarves wouldn’t be home until late, and you didn’t intend to fall asleep in their beds again. So you spent the rest of the afternoon bounding across the meadows, climbing trees (you had brought britches this time) to get the juiciest fruit, and napping in the sun. You never burned but also never seemed to hold a tan, so it was quite comforting.

Once the sun started going down and you caught a slight chill, you escorted the little animals back to their dens and finally arrived at the Dwarves cottage. It was just as you remembered it, and you felt a deep comfort settle over your heart at the sight. Even through your toughest times, the Dwarves were such a good family to you.

And you rewarded them handsomely of course - you exclusively bought your gems from their mines, and helped set up the selling side of their business, both above and under ground. Their broker had been underpaying them for their stock, so you set that man straight and introduced them to better buyers.

Dopey, or D as he (now? In the future?) liked to be called, finally came into his own when he realized he liked making jewelry itself. He had an eye for detail when it was something he was really interested in, and enjoyed the craft immensely. He practically gave away a lot of rings (he was rich now, why not?) to many happy but poorer couples, and he made you a glorious ruby and diamond one for your wedding.

The rest were all happy too. Grumpy finally got a boyfriend, and changed his name to Grum, Doc quit work as a miner and became an academic (though he still helped out sometimes anyway) and the rest were semi-retired. Their children and niblings and young people they liked ran the business now, and they made a good percentage is the original owners.

Again, it was going to be a little bit of hell to redo all that over again, but oh well. As long as you didn’t have to do that a third time!

You set up a fire in their pit, and start laying out the food you brought. You weren’t going to break in, clean their house and then fall asleep on their beds this time, but you still needed to make a good first impression. So, a cooked meal it was!

After about an hour, just when the sun started setting, you look proudly upon the meal you made. Slightly spiced chicken (you found a couple plants on your walk here), with the citrons you foraged earlier on the side and a bit of mashed potatoes and bread you stole from the kitchen on the side. You wanted to eat now, but you waited until you heard “Hi ho!”.

“Indeed,” agreed Doc. “And what is a young woman such as yourself doing alone in the first at this hour? And how did you find our house?”

“I can’t stay in town because my Stepmother has basically kicked me out, and will rain hell upon any who help me. She is a powerful woman among the people,“ - they could interpret that as they wished, but it wouldn’t point straight to royalty - “and so I thought it would be best to stay out of town for some time. As for how I found your home, I stumbled across it years ago. Yours is the closest settlement to town, so I figured I’d ask you first, before trying somewhere farther.”

Doc laughed sadly. “Parents can be cruel sometimes. If your food is as good as it smells, and you can keep the house tidy and clean - it’s a bit of a mess right now - I don’t see why not. That sound alright to you, Grumpy?”

Grumpy harrumphed. “She isn’t getting my bed.”

“Oh, don’t worry yourself about that! I brought a bedroll.”

Grumpy harrumphed again, but brushed past you to the food. You supposed that was an answer.

Doc took your hand and patted it gently. “My name is Elias Thundergold, but everyone here calls me Doc because I enjoy reading. Let’s get you introduced to the crew.”

You all chatter companionably during the meal, and over the next couple days, they really warm up to you. You of course invite your animal friends to help you clean, and cook as much as possible. The bedroll isn’t bad, but Bashful, Doc and Happy must have noticed you walking around a bit gingerly, because they allowed you to borrow their beds for naps during the day. At the end of the first week, they hold a small party, and you end up dancing the night away.

After that, though, you cut off your hair. You asked the mirror before you left when Stepmother would ask about the fairest in the land again. Apparently, she didn’t think to ask again until a month later, but you wanted to be careful. The mirror told you that he based his ‘truths’ on Stepmother’s ideal of beauty, and advised you that going bald would make you ‘drop’ in her ranks.

(Bowser has once again return to kidnapped the Princess and sends his Army to spread and takeover the lands to find the power stars. So it’s up to Mario and Luigi alongside their younger sister “Mara Mario” to go out to save the world and leaving Mara to hope to prove her worthy to the Mushroom Kingdom.)

Plot: It all started in the Mushroom Kingdom as Mario and Luigi including their sister Mara were going into Princess Peach’s castle while helping her out winning over to her crush. Mara explains that she has only been to the Mushroom Kingdom about a month doesn’t know what to say, scene she meet few new friends, getting kidnapped twice there, so finding a romantic relationship is not easy. That is until the bros told her they have hope for her and The Princess would gladly help her out. As they go inside the castle and everyone is happy, Mara goes to the Mushroom Kingdom guard gal who she’s been having a crush on, “Amatory“. They have a few laughs and training and through it all, Mara is finally ready to say that she has feelings for her. But before Amatory could answer her request, the castle has been attacked by non only but Bowser and his airships, along with the Koopalings who had their own mech castle/battleship. Amatory tries to fight back but this ended up as Bowser brutally injures her and takes the Princess as Mara watched as the same beast from before who kidnaped her. After a quick visit to the Hospital, Mara’s fear on Bowser has now been erased and decided that she wanted to join the bros into stopping Bowser as she was trained enough to do it. The Bros agrees and then they set off.

The first land they go is Acorn Plains where they started out on this adventure, teaching Mara how to survive aganst enemies, traps and pit falls as Mara experience her first power-ups like the "Super Acorn" and "Fire Flower". Once they got to the first Security Force, they were greeted by Lemmy Koopa, who came to Acorn Plains a day early before the Princess kidnaping. Mara was overwhelmed by his cuteness as Luigi ends up the same. Mario snaps them out of it and dismantles the area and then defeats Boom Boom. After another adventure thought, they reached to Lemmy's Castle/Battleship. The Battle Started as Lemmy Koopa activates the power in the Power Star as he summons minions and bouncing the Powerful Ball Booms left to right while bouncing on ball left to right. The Battle ended as Lemmy lost that power and runs off like a chicken. The Mario Siblings then goes off to the next land.

They were now in Sarasa Land where they rescue Princess Daisy from Eyerok, who helped Bowser takes over the castle. She thanks the bros for rescuing her, Then Gill Koopa shows up and informs that he made new power-ups and one of them called the "Glider Suit". After a bit of a struggle for Luigi, They go through the trouble and gets to Wendy O Koopa's Castle/Battleship. Wendy who wants to make this quick as she the heat as she turns on her power star powers. In the fight, she shoots out many sized rings for a few secons and started kicking and hitting. The battle ended as the she pressed the self-destruct button and escapes. The Mario Sibs manage to escape in time before the Castle/Battleship explodes

Mario Sibs now at the Ocean Land, where Luigi and Mara imedatlly jumps in the water to cool down after the desert , They go down into the deeps of the ocean adventure untill they go through the Koopa Security foces the way they took out "Chomp Chomp" *A Cheep Cheep that was fused with a great white shark* After they escaped with their lives, they meet a Female Captain Sailor. While they sail, both her and Mara sang: * www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIGY62… * They soon were attacked by a geyser attack in the middle of the ride and adventure by Larry Koopa. Once got their, Larry gave the name of the Mario Bros and Sis. They fought in the Hot Water surrounding the floor. Larry makes the geyser attack and shooting the magic attack. He was then defeated by giving the gyzer his own medicine, medially the mecha castle/battleship collapse into the deeps in the ocean.

In Ice land, The Mario Sibs are gonna have to survive the slippery time in their adventure in the cold and the Bros thought Mara how to skate. They go to the next Koopa Security Forces but haunted where they meet and fought a carnages ghost "Fright Roaster". After that, they keep on the adventure all the way to Iggy's Mecha Castle/Battleship. The fought in the ice arena as Iggys shoots his now Super Star Power explosive magic blast, spin attacks and jump attacks. The fight ended as he loss his wand and the star as he falls off the edge. The Bros decied use his wand to blow up the castle/battleship.

In Forest Land, They go through the swing and the sang while taking care of the troops around here. Mara actually enjoyed as this reminded her about the Disney Film "Tarzan", as Mario had been swining vines here before so many times. Things get serious when the forest was attacked by powerful magic came from Ludwig Von Koopa. Once got to his Mecha Castle, They Fought s as Ludwig orders a Bullet Bill Bros and the Bob-mom bros. Ludwig attacks were gravity control, Target Magic Blast flutter jumping and stomp attack. The Battle endede as The Mario Sibs outsmarted the Koopa as They made the Bullet Bill Bro and the Bob-mom bro sends Ludwig flying from the explosion and landed into the water.

In Mountain Land, Now they have to be very careful when it comes a crossed with the Danrouges stables of them moutians. Once get to Mortons Castle/Battleship. As Mara and Morton talks about The New Name of Super Mario Bros and Sis, They get attacked anyway. Morton in his super star power, He make his powerful stomp stun attacks, Giant fire breath and shell spin dig underground. The Mario Sibs defeat him and that cause the Castle/Battleship to exploed.

In Sky land, Despite some have a fear of heights, they got through it all in a few traps, obasticals, as they got to the jetpack suits as Mara sings this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC_kCn… . While Kamek tries and fails to takes them out of the picture. They go through Roy's Castle/Battleship attacks as the airships attack. As they fight, on the balcony as Roy's power with his strength and bullet bills and later a Banzai Bill. They nanage to defeat him and his Castle/Battleship was still standing as the sibs leave.

Finally they made it to DarkLands! They go through all the trouble of in deadly deathtraps, Lava Baths and Defeating Junior. Bowser is defeated but is revived by Kamek, who casts a magical spell along with the super star that transforms him into a power giant. Bowser chases after Mario and the others, destroying everything in his path until the final showdown with a giant piped bridged with Bowser staning on a giant stone circle with the chained hook. Bowser smakes his hand on the pipes as he breaths fire and shoots fire at the three of them while getting to the cannons. After getting hit 10 times, Bowser got even more angry and began to make the finishing move. Mara sudgest to shoot up the celling of the hook which they did. Witch makes him shake, causing the stone circle to support his weight to fail and fall through the ground, Releasing Peach from her Capture. She thanks them all for rescuing her making Mara proud of herself proven worthy to the Mushroom Kingdom.

The Next day, Mara vistis Amatory in the hostpital just to check to see if she's okay, She told her everything that happens scene her hospitlaized. Amatory was deeply happy what she had did. The Bros saw the Two hug as it makes Mario and Luigi proud.

Day 2: Saturday 21st September, 2024 [Auckland]

Breakfast: Coffee & a biscuit Lunch: Fish tacos, chips & a glass of wine Dinner: Curry: lamb saag, butter chicken, beef vindaloo & all the trimmings

We woke up early this morning after a shocking sleep and got ready to explore Auckland. We’d booked a 10am tour of the Wētā Workshop Unleashed and were looking forward to seeing some cool Lord of the Rings style miniatures and weaponry. We stopped at a tiny coffee shop called Stolen Summer for a coffee and I was a bit underwhelmed with how average Auckland was - the city centre just looked like a shitty version of Sydney. There were lots of construction sites, a surprisingly large homeless community and lots of chain stores that we have in Melbourne. 

The Wētā Workshop was very cool but I was initially a bit disappointed that they did not showcase LOTR items but instead props and sets of 3 made-up films that they had designed just for the exhibition. The films were called Fauna (Horror), Age of the Ever Clan (Fantasy) & Origins (Sci-Fi) and all had very distinct models and characters. We had a lovely tour guide who had a very dry sense of humour but was British and didn’t have a Kiwi accent. My favourite exhibit was the ‘bigature’ fantasy castle that looked like Rivendell from Lord of Rings. The level of detail was mind blowing and the lighting was beautiful. 

After our tour it was time for lunch. We walked down to the Viaduct Harbour Waterfront and had lunch at the Reign & Pour for a wine and pub food in the sun. Amara and I shared some tacos and fries, Tim had a burger & Jane had a noodle salad. Everything was a delight. 

Amara then went to scope out the ferry situation and we bought a $16NZD return ticket to Devenport via a 15-minute ferry ride. The ride over was beautiful in the sun and I got some beautiful photos of the cityscape. Davenport was a beautiful beachside town bustling with people enjoying the sun. We walked to the Devenport Chocolate Company but didn’t buy anything because an American tourist was taking up all the focus of the one shop assistant. We then walked down the main strip to get ice cream and ate it in the park. The sun was glorious but we were all spent from the travel and decided to head back. 

We got the 3:15pm ferry back to Auckland city and then hired a scooter to get back to our apartment. I was a bit apprehensive, as I’d fallen off a scooter in Canberra earlier in the year and badly hurt my hands, but I got back on the horse and didn’t fall off! Woohoo! We stopped at Woolworths for snacks then had a nap when we got home. We snoozed for 45 minutes then had some chips and chats before heading out for dinner. 

We headed out for dinner at 7pm and headed to the Indian place a quick walk from the apartment called Spice Club. We all chose a curry (lamb saag, butter chicken & beef vindaloo) with some rice, garlic naan, onion bahji & samosas. A real white-person curry buffet. The food was delicious and we left stuffed! Amara was showing signs of wanting to go home, but Jane wanted to see the nightlife, so we went for a walk back towards the waterfront. 

The nightlife was dead and it was a bit disappointing. My first impression of Auckland is that it is very quiet and a bit industrial - not really what I was picturing. It was bananas to me that on a Saturday night, where the All Blacks were playing, the bars were quiet and we walked past multiple closed restaurants. Maybe there was a holiday or cultural observance that we missed?

While we were walking Jane randomly stopped a woman and asked if she was from New Zealand. She said yes and was super happy to recommend a cool bar called Caretaker that had an underground, Speakeasy vibe - exactly what we wanted! We walked down and had to wait 10 mins for a table, so we went to their neighbouring venue Rocketman for a drink - I had a freshly squeezed apple juice with rum, something I wouldn’t usually pair, and it was delicious! We got called 15 mins later and went down to the speakeasy where there was no menu, but the waiter asked what kind of drink we usually liked and then made something for us. Neil was a gun and made me a “risky business” with gin, orange & bitters. It was delicious, but very sweet. Amara was researching karaoke bars, but I hit a wall and suggested we go home instead. There was a curfew for scooters, so we walked home (4 mins) then shared pictures from our day and then hit the hay. 

I am SO excited to go to Hobbiton tomorrow!!!!
