Literally these people from Gaza have made an account on Tumblr and is writing in english to communicate what they need and you all are coming onto my blog or on the tag and not reblogging their posts. We have people both Palestinian and non Palestinian vetting the fundraisers! I mean more the reblogs, more the chance of the fundraisers gaining momemtum, the more there would be a chance of a donation. It’s hard to say! Xavia doesn’t have much of a story yet outside of her role as protector of the grove

But I’d probably say both the pressure of protecting so many people and being effectively a replacement for Capuchin is a lot of pressure

It depends! Xavia tends to take criticism in stride, if it’s warranted. If they make a mistake, and they’re criticised in a constructive way- that’s fine! They’ll usually take onboard what’s said and move on

But if you’re being a bitch about it they have a tendency to lean on malicious compliance and things like that

Xavia is mostly okay in xirself! Most of xir confidence issues stems for xir appearance and xe does sometimes wish for a more ‘normal’ appearance, but those feelings are usually short-lived and xe doesn’t really give a damn lol

Capuchin was alive and (semi-)conscious while he was imprisoned in stone, that was probably the most afraid he’s ever been

Capuchin tends to take criticism. A little personally. It’s sorta a 50/50 chance on whether he’ll take it well or not.

Logically he knows most criticism isn’t a personal attack on his character

But convincing himself of that is the hard part

Capuchin was a little overconfident if anything? His powers are really great-! But he got humbled REALLY fast the second he got into a real fight

He never used to compare himself to others because he was so confident in himself

Nowadays he tends to try and look at others for things he admires, traits, habits, fashion- and slowly incorporate that into his own life

I’d say he tries to compare himself in a good way, more of a “this is what I want to be like” than a “they’re so much better than me, I’ll never be like that”

these books unbanned cards (unless otherwise stated) get you access to each library's complete libby/cloud library collection, no hoopla/kanopy/physical copies included.

ebook collections are expensive to maintain (many american libraries have annual fees for non-residents because of this) but because of an uptick in book banning (particularly brutal in mississippi last summer) larger libraries have opened their doors more, which is very kind of them!

i've used my seattle card for the last several months and their libby collection has about three times the books that my local library does, which is wonderful for accessing more niche titles or skipping a waiting list. would love to hear of similar ebook initiatives internationally!

i use library extension (firefox/chrome/edge compatible) to check all my collections (+ the internet archive) at once, works for several different countries highly recommend it.

spotify seems to be offering 15hrs/month of audiobook listening to premium subscribers and while that does seem useful if you're already paying and are after a new release with a long library waitlist, libraries are better for everything else.
