The idea that god auditors have to kill their predecessor to get the job is super interesting; it also gives the poor bug boy extra trauma </3. So unfair that he had to kill his mentor, but the next auditor doesn't have to kill him/lh. He'd better get so much comfort next chapter or else >:[/j/lh.

They are so bad at talking to each other/pos. Scarab is so scared to be even somewhat vulnerable around Prismo, and Prismo has his own things going on, so he doesn't even notice, and they're both being so DUMB <333333333 They have at least somewhat apologised to each other in the most round-about way possible/lh.

You can read it here:
They found each other again !! Prismo letting Scarab drag him away even though he had no idea who he was, was so funny to me. King you are magic just teleport away/lh. Killing Butterflies, by othersin, was updated today, with 2/? Chapters released! You can read it here:
FINALLY, the little bug man is getting some THERAPY/lh/j. He's still too traumatised to be able to talk about it with her, though :[. My poor bug boy </3. Scarab's dreamscape is also super cool; he turned Prismo into a MOTH!!!! HE IS A MOTH IT FITS SO WELL <3.

You can read it here:
VK and Prism time is my favourite time :]. I got so invested in this part that I actually forgot this is a work for Scarab and Prismo/pos. The Lich reference made me go :O. You can read it here:
Okay but Scarab is perfect for steampunk/pos. He could definitely pull off the 'dignified Englishman timetraveller look,' he is the most not-British British man i have ever seen in my life/j. Poor Cos having to third wheel, but the Orgalorg reference made me more excited than it should've/lh.
NSFW works are below the cut :].

I watched Fionna and Cake recently. And let's just say it might have been too inspiring.
Because I am trying to make a paper Scarab with movable joints :'D
The project name is "Lil Scrabby". (Name will probably change.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here he is with prototype 1 mask, prototype 2 head and prototype 3 hand. He'll have multiple masks for multiple face expressions. Also I'll definitely make a prototype 4 for the hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Silly poses with the only body parts he has. He has fallen and can't get up.
Tumblr media
Alone on a friday night? Pathetic! Me too >:(
If anyone has any tips on making movable 3D paper dolls I would love to hear them. I'll post my ideas and blueprints if anyone's interested.
Also Prohibitedwish because why not. Prismo has a lil Scrabby figurine now :)

Becoming gravid wasn’t the easiest on Scarab, but Prismo did his best to support him however he could <33
That said he didn’t know that they were expecting multiples- though tis what is to be expected of a bug species HXHBXJJSJD
•••
(In this timeline after a good few hundred years or so they very reluctantly let Scarab be God Auditor again, though very strict guidelines were set and his initial punishment was a good wake-up call that trials should be conducted before anybody gets incinerated-)

Assassins Finding Out Their S/O Is A Witch 💙
Tumblr media
Altair Ibn La’Ahad
💙 When he learned; he wasn’t surprised one bit as everything added up, now making sense. All the late nights out, the strange herbs and things made and hidden away in your shared home. But unlike others he was more curious than fearful. In fact so much he would begin to ask questions, understand, and learn all the secrets to life, to the universe. To know that hidden knowledge. He wouldn’t be concerned about your safety knowing you have handled yourself quite fine before he met you and would find that Masyaf is one of the safest places for you where he’d be least concerned.
Tumblr media
Connor Kenway
💙 He would be the one whose most accepting of it. Some of it is similar to what his own tribe’s beliefs and practices so he’d be the one who would help you gather materials for any spells/rituals. Even learning green witchcraft and herbalism himself. As for safety I wouldn’t think he wouldn’t be as concerned for yours seeing as the homestead is full of more trustworthy, openminded people who happen to know of Connors native and warrior like background; besides that others may see you as only a doctor. But he would warn you even on the request of Achilles in hopes you wouldn’t speak of it to others outside the safety net. But you always knew to never do such a thing.
Tumblr media
Ezio Auditore
💙 It would depend on which Ezio we’re talking about. If he was his younger version; he would be open to it but still question your belief and the way you do things; especially if you believe in multiple existing gods. But after his meeting with Minerva he would believe there’s more to life than meets the eye. Therefore be more accepting and even curious; willing to enjoy the few moments when you open up and talk about it and even watch your work from afar. But if you aren’t in a relationship with him nor the type to fall for his charm then he may be afraid if he offended you and if you might curse him for it. Or he may ask you to do a reading on why he keeps falling into a cycle of never having love or if he ever will find love for that matter. But who knows maybe your cards indicated your future relationship together. 😉 Since it was a time when the witch trials occurred; Ezio would be fearful of your safety. You’d find him being overprotective and upset whenever you ventured out or did anything careless or in which would make you appear to be a witch. (Like if you were to heal people) But knowing you may do so anyways, to the least he would ask you to do so only near the villa and that he’d be the one gather ingredients himself.
Tumblr media
Arno Dorian
💙 Although the witch trials declined considerably and even convicting a person difficult; it still worried him. Therefore he would still guard you from any suspicious people. On the other hand he will be confused as to why you believe yourself to be a witch. Yes, there are pieces of Eden with mystical powers. But this is different and he may appear unbelieving or not take it serious. That’s until you prove a point of his “gifts,” his abilities to see things that are not there or to witness memories through people and objects. You’d consider this his “third eye sense,” clairvoyance, or Psychometry. He would be surprised you know of it as he never told you. If not that he’ll start believing you more when he sees spells coming to fruition and your simple “knowing of things.”

1. According to an X post that’s since been debunked as fake news, “Joe Rogan is suing MSNBC for $30 million for editing / splicing a video to make it sound like he was pro-Kamala Harris when he was actually criticizing her.”
“I am disappointed to tell you that even though this went wildly viral on X – I think it was seen by almost 7 million people – it is not true,” sighs Liz.
2. The second headline is “Biden-Harris admin released at least 99 illegal aliens on terrorist watch list into the country,” which outlines how “Border Patrol agents stationed at the southern border encountered 250 illegal aliens on the terrorist watch list between fiscal years 2021 and 2023,” but “the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Homeland Security released at least 99” of them “into the interior of the United States.”
3. The third article comes from Real Clear Politics: “Former Secret Service Chief Wanted To Destroy Cocaine Evidence.” The piece exposes Kimberly Cheatle and other top agents for trying to “dispose of the evidence” when cocaine was found in the White House. However, “Secret Service Forensics Services Division and the Uniformed Division stood firm and rejected the push.”
4. “‘God Wins in the End’: 89-Year-Old Pro-Life Activist Speaks Out Ahead of ‘High Stakes’ Trial” is the fourth article Liz cites. It tells the story of an 89-year-old woman named Eva Edl – a concentration camp survivor who faces up to 10 years in prison for her involvement in pro-life protests at two Michigan abortion facilities. The weaponized DOJ is using the FACE Act – a “wildly unconstitutional” law, according to Liz – to punish Edl and others like her for peacefully protesting, praying, and trying to speak with women seeking abortion.
5. The last story is titled “NYC's 'shoddy oversight' wastes 'millions of taxpayer dollars' on unused hotel rooms, uneaten food for illegal aliens: Audit.” It covers how the “Adams administration signed a $432 million contract … to provide illegal aliens residing in the city with services, including shelter, accommodations, and food.” If that wasn’t bad enough, the majority of the money was wasted. Brad Lander, who is vying to be the next mayor of NYC, hired a group of independent auditors, who discovered gross “mismanagement of the contract.” According to the report, “a detailed review of invoices presented for the first two months of the contract found that nearly 80% of payments – $11 million out of $13.8 million paid – were unsupported and should be recouped.”

Traitorous Cockroach
I wrote that idea I had about Orbo!
It was fun, writing from a bastard's perspective. Orbo is simply the worst, unapologetically so. He's a narcissist, and I will not say sorry for writing him as such.
So enjoy Scarab putting him in his place!
Word Count: 4,100
When Orbo got to roll back out into the light for the first time in... what, 5,000 years, he thought he'd finally be allowed a bit of peace.
He thought he'd have his rad office back, he could find someone to get rid of this fucking snake, and he could spend the rest of eternity not thinking of two certain gods ever again.
He gave the Organizer nothing more than what was strictly necessary in terms of a farewell. He listened to the Judge prattle on about how they hoped Orbo had seen the error of his ways or whatever.
It was all worth it for when he'd get his office back.
Until the Organizer handed a piece of paper with a new room assignment.
"Demoted?!"
The Organizer gave no verbal reaction to the Star Core's indignation.
"Hold on, wait, I served my time! I want my office back!"
"Did you expect to be granted your old position back after what you were in trouble for in the first place? Do I need to go over everything you were found guilty of again? What were you honestly expecting?"
Orbo sputtered for a second, feeling himself shrink a moment at her harsh tone.
"Orbo, you stand before the Judge to answer for several egregious violations of Judgement Hall conduct and ethics. Organizer, please read the charges."
Orbo couldn't believe this was happening. Just a few days ago, he was about to get his buddy the Wishmaster back from whatever spell that bug put on him and now... Now he was standing in the Judgement Hall like some kind of criminal?!
"Yes, Judge. Orbo, you stand accused of abuse of Judgement Hall resources, repeated instances of abuse of power over subordinates, failure to respond to reported threats in a timely or appropriate manner, and inappropriate enactment of punishment outside of your authority and jurisdiction."
"Orbo, how do you explain these charges?"
"I... They're not true! None of that is true!"
"Is it, or is it not true you sent a High Auditor on missions meant to be handled by Interns and Low Auditors? These include cases of misattribution of Judgement Hall supplies and misuse of Judgement Hall time."
"W-Well, yes, I sent Scarab on those missions. But he was out of important missions to do!"
"The appropriate course of action would be to let Scarab rest if that were the case. Sending him out on such missions is a waste of his time, your time, the Judgement Hall's time, and is taking learning opportunities from new recruits, which has lead to an overall decrease in productivity in the lower branches of Auditors. Organizer, is this assessment accurate?"
"Yes Judge."
"That is one charge you have lied about. Do you wish to revise your previous statements? If you revise right now, I will not add perjury onto your charge list. Otherwise, we can continue down the list, and I will add a new charge of perjury for every single instance we find. So I will ask again. Orbo, how do you explain these charges?"
Orbo swallowed at the memory of his... interesting trial. He shook his head, looking back up to the Organizer, who seemed to be preoccupied reading something on the desk.
"But-"
"Not to mention your... substandard performance in the Archives. No, I can't grant you your previous position at this time. Perhaps if you show improvement, we can revisit this. But for now, you are being reassigned."
He couldn't believe this.
He was a god. He was older than most of the starry-eyed dolts in the pantheon, he had earned his position!
"Let's see... Hmm, no, you've been out of practice far too long to be an Auditor again... Let's see here... Ah, here's a place for you."
She handed him a piece of paper.
"...Compiler? As in... as in the guys who sort through those endless stacks of paperwork looking for discrepancies?" She couldn't be serious. She couldn't really be diminishing him to... to a paper pusher!
"Yes, a Compiler. You'd have no subordinates to terrorize, and it's one of the only jobs in my jurisdiction that you can't fail at badly enough to cause a crisis."
"But... But that's... That's almost the bottom of the barrel! I have Seniority over everyone in that office!"
"Yes, I'm sure they'll be impressed that such an old guard is joining them. If you don't like it, you can always continue where you left off in the Archives."
The door to the side of her slid open, the dusty smelling ozone seeping into the room.
"N-No! No, that won't be necessary, mate. Compiler it is then..."
She hummed, gesturing for the paper to be returned. Orbo silently obeyed, wincing as she brought the stamp down, and handed it back to him.
"Glad we have reached an agreement. Now then, you're to report to your new office immediately. You're dismissed."
Orbo's eyes widened as the door to her office opened.
"W-Wait!"
The Orgranizer shifted a few tired eyes at him.
"Is something the matter?"
He squirmed a little under her gaze, but took a deep breath.
"Could you do... something about this?"
He gestured to the snake currently sinking its teeth deep into the side of his head. He was thankful he had no blood to spill.
"I'm sorry but curses and the breaking of them are not part of my jurisdiction. You either need to resolve it with the one who cursed you, or take it through the official channels and file a request for the Judge."
"The Judge?!" The snake snarled, biting a bit harder, making him wince. "The Judge has a waiting list lightyears long!"
"Well then. Better file one as soon as your first break starts. You might want to get going."
And so, Orbo did.
He languished in the Compiler's office. It was as dreadfully boring as he imagined. Paperwork stacks a mile tall, replaced with a new one just as he nearly finished.
He wondered if his punishment ever actually ended.
And don't get him started on his... coworkers. Nothing special, most of them not even truly immortal. Many of them were just long-lived species on the intergalactic stage. Most of them didn't even have magic, not even innately. And none of them had a remotely interesting thought to share.
Several tried to chat, but none were even remotely cool enough to dignify with a response. Eventually, they got the hint and stopped trying.
One of them even had the audacity to try and pet the snake latched onto him. Called it cute.
Until one of them, finally, said something worth his attention.
"Guys! Guys you'll never guess what just happened!"
Orbo rolled his eyes as he continued working through his newest stack. The one currently disrupting the quiet was an odd little thing, an octopus looking creature, piloting some kind of robotic skeleton.
"What happened this time, did you finally catch your lunch thief?"
Nope, because that would be Orbo.
"No, that's still a bust. No, I saw Scarab! He was here, and he even said hi to me!"
Now they had his attention. He turned to look more at the excited alien. Wait... excited? About Scarab?
"No way! And you didn't tell us the Star Auditor was here? Glorm, I will tie your tentacles in a knot, I swear to Glob-"
"I didn't know! I literally just got back from delivering something to one of the managers, and he was just... There! Just leaving the Organizer's office!"
"And you're sure he said hi to you?"
"Yes! He asked where I was coming from and said to keep up the good work!"
No, this couldn't be right. This was the same Scarab, yes? The traitorous little cockroach, there was no way he was being spoken of with... awe, right? He must be mishearing the emotions in their voice.
"Sorry you had to experience that, mate" he decided to butt in.
The office went weirdly quiet. They were looking at him now, but with dumb confusion.
"Sorry? Why are you sorry?"
"If this is the same Scarab I remember, I can't imagine seeing him being pleasant. Not a cool bone in his body." Orbo shivered just thinking about it.
"Wait... You knew Scarab from back in the day? Back when he was the God Auditor?"
"Knew him? I was his boss."
"Is it true? Is it true that he was hand-picked by the Boss for defeating a Comic threat as a mortal?"
Orbo scoffed. "He got lucky. Wouldn't have been able to without that crystal he swiped from the Judgement Hall. Look, just take my word for it, you don't wanna be on his radar. Best to avoid him in my opinion."
With that, he turned back to his desk, satisfied.
"...Where have you been for the past, I don't know, eons?"
And he stopped again.
"Excuse me?"
"I mean... Scarab's awesome! He saved his home world, like, single handedly! As a mortal!"
"Like I said, he got lucky." How did these knuckleheads not get it yet?
"He was the most effective Auditor of all time! He's the Organizer's go-to!"
"Her personal enforcer if I remember correctly!"
"Wait, what?" When did that happen?
"He's captured almost every cosmic criminal sitting in the Neo Citadel!"
"He's an inspiration! He was mortal, and he managed to do all that! Gives me hope maybe I could do something amazing like that."
"Yeah, maybe when you finally remember which stamp goes on which form, we'll talk."
They all laughed with each other like they'd said something actually witty but... Orbo was just... stumped. How is Scarab this... well liked? What happened in the time he was gone? He thought he had everyone being on the same page as him.
There was nothing admirable about a cockroach.
Looks like this place really has gone mad.
He shoved it out of his mind for now, more focused on trying to get his office back than worry about what that skittering little creature was up to.
Until he heard about it again.
"I think Scarab's going to be hosting a seminar soon, right? Yeah, for the new Interns. Maybe they'd let some of us hang out in the back?"
And again.
"You hear Scarab took down the Star Leech? Can't imagine what that battle must've looked like. Wonder what he'll go after next."
And again.
"I saw Scarab out by the gardens a bit ago. I wanted to talk to him, but I think he was meditating or something. Looked peaceful, I might try it."
Okay, what was happening?
Back when he was in charge, Orbo practically had to pull teeth to get Scarab in the Judgement Hall. Now it seemed he was here every other minute. And people didn't seem to have a problem with it. How? How did no one see the issue here?
Something was off. Something had changed. But what?
A particularly hard bite to his back prompted a potential answer.
Prismo.
Prismo had to have done something, there's no other reason Scarab had such free reign.
He was still baffled by the Wishmaster's behavior. How could someone so... so cool fall for such a repulsive little worm? He acted like... like he loved him or something.
He gagged at the thought.
Prismo had to be swaying the pantheon, that was the only explanation.
If Orbo had known that the mercy he granted the bug would blow up this badly, he'd have just chucked him in the furnace and been done with it.
Why hadn't he? He'd finally gotten what he wanted for eons, and he just... Why did Prismo stick out for him? It still made no sense.
At first, he'd been amused. Sure, let the Wishmaster "mentor" Scarab for a bit. Prismo had an annoying habit of trying to see the best in everyone. But, spend a long enough time with Scarab, and that'd be his last ally gone. He waited for the day he got contacted by Prismo telling him he changed his mind, he wanted this gross bug out of the Time Room, and Orbo would be the hero.
Except... the call never came.
A day past.
Then a week.
Then a few months.
Nothing.
A part of Orbo worried Scarab might've finally killed the Wishmaster, but that would've been instant news. No, Prismo was probably okay...
Maybe he was just too nice a guy to say anything? Afterall, he knew first hand how awful Scarab was to deal with at the best of times, much less when stuck with the one entity he hates the most.
He really should apologize to Prismo for that one.
And yet, when he showed up, Prismo didn't take the out! Despite him witnessing Scarab's creepy behavior, he was on the ceiling for Glob's sake, but Prismo seemed none to care! He got angry at him! Him! Scarab must've been saying something. Something to turn their beloved Wishmaster against them.
How else would you explain that terrifying shadow he turned into?
Orbo was getting tired of hearing about Scarab. He even saw him, once, out in the hall. Didn't even acknowledge him.
How dare he.
"GUYS!"
His manager (ugh) barged into the office, clearly excited about something. Everyone jumped as he banged the door open, a piece of paper clutched in his hand.
"What what what?"
"Guess who just got invited to a party at the Time Cube?!"
"No way!"
"What?! Jealous!"
"Aw man, lucky!"
Orbo sat there. Baffled. Prismo's hosting... parties again? And he wasn't invited???
Wait, since when was Prismo's parties invitation based?
"I know, right? I guess I really made an impression on Scarab! He got me invited! I can't believe I get to party with both Wishmasters! Somebody pinch me! I'll put in a good word for you guys, maybe I can get Scarab to come in one day!"
Wait wait wait wait wait.
"Did you just say... BOTH Wishmasters? I thought Prismo was the only one?"
Now they looked at him like he has three heads.
"Wow, you really missed a lot, Orbo. Yeah, Scarab's a Wishmaster, part of the time. After a string of big cases, the Boss gives him some time to be Wishmaster alongside Prismo. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but it seems to work for the both of them."
"Oh, it works alright. They get to smooch all they want."
"Carsinda! We don't gossip like that!"
"Since when? You know it's true, it's not gossip if everybody knows."
Okay, now Orbo's brain was broken.
Prismo and Scarab? Together?
The thought of anyone wanting Scarab like that... to say it made him retch was an understatement.
And here he thought Prismo had decent taste.
Although, from what he's heard about a connection he had to some... mortal, maybe that was an overestimation.
This entire place has gone mad, that's the only explanation. Things have fallen apart without him. People have forgotten exactly what Scarab is. What he always will be.
A dirty little traitorous cockroach.
And dirty little cockroaches don't get to win. They don't get to hang out in the most powerful spot in the multiverse, in the good graces of the most powerful gods in the pantheon. Not when awesome, true gods like him is left to languish in a meaningless office job!
No, they belong in the dirt. Preferably under a boot.
Hmm...
Maybe it was time to pay his old pals a visit. Just to clear the air.
-------------------------------------
It wasn't hard, slipping away from the office. And getting to the Time Room from the Judgement Hall was simple enough.
But... woah. Seems the Time Room's... changed a bit.
He lingered in the doorway, just taking it in, swallowing down winces and yelps from his "buddy's" little interruptions.
There were plants everywhere. Vines, ferns, flowers, even a willow tree. How they were there, he had no idea. He thoughts things couldn't really... live? Not in the Time Room at least. And yet, it looked like a terrarium in here, with strange glowing flowers to boot.
Crystals wrapped in gold filigree cast a soft light, contrasting against the strange clouds swirling at the ceiling. Throw rugs covered a large chunk of the floor, a desk against a wall, and many shelves climbing up and down the previously featureless surfaces of the Time Room. The only wall spared of strange shelves and photos was the TV Wall it would seem.
Well, at least the hot tub was still there, sitting underneath the previously mentioned willow tree. Something familiar.
An elaborate nest of pillows and blankets nearly covered up and comfortable looking seating area, so all encompassing it took up a huge corner of the room.
And it was there that he saw... them.
Prismo, holding Scarab against his chest, sitting on the couch.
Orbo had to blink a few times to process what he was seeing.
Prismo. Was off the wall. He looked strange, not just because he wasn't just a shadow anymore. His legs looked different, he appeared to be made out of gas, he had stars orbiting him, it all looked... wrong. That wasn't his Prismo.
Scarab looked pretty much as hideous as he remembered. There wasn't even the decency to wear his mask. Just his horrid face, out for all to see.
The cockroach seemed to be asleep, thankfully, tucked in close to Prismo's side as the Wishmaster browsed the TV Wall. Scarab made those odd chittering noises as he slept, mandibles twitching ever so slightly. Prismo seemed to have taken to idly petting Scarab's head. It was... sugary sweet.
Wait a second... Were those....?
Yep. Antenna. Ghostly blue antenna, but antenna none the less. Prismo curled his finger around one and dragged up, earning himself a content sigh from the bug in his arms.
How in Glob's name did he get his antenna back? He made sure they were gone, he watched them get cut from his scalp, he tossed them into the incinerator himself!
Wait, if his antenna were back did that mean...? No... No, he couldn't have those back...
The longer he stared, the more confused he became. What had happened to this pantheon?
Scarab's antenna twitched. They shivered, perking upright, making the cockroach rouse from his slumber. A nervous chitter fell from his mouth.
"Hmm? Something the matter, Lovebug?"
"...I know you're there" Scarab said, voice flat.
Well, now or never.
Orbo rolled on in, smiling.
"Ya got me. Guess who got out of prison!"
Scarab sat up, his eyes narrowed but expression blank. Prismo frowned.
"What are you doing here, Orbo?"
"What, I can't visit my favorite Wishmaster after 5,000 years? Like what you've done with the place."
Neither entity seemed impressed.
"Get to the point" Prismo growled.
Woah, tough crowd. He yelped a bit as the snake sunk its teeth into the top of his head. He missed Prismo's little smirk.
"Just wanted to confirm some... rumors I heard around the office. Scarab's Wishmaster now?"
"I am. Part time, at least."
"Hmm. So. You finally got all you wanted, Scrabs?"
"You don't have permission to call me that."
Orbo's head throbbed. This little...
"Oh you skittering little-"
The snake on his head seemed to get a bit bigger. A bit heavier, now biting over and over. Prismo had stood up at some point, leering angrily over Orbo.
"I thought I made it clear you aren't welcome in the Time Room, Orbo. I thought that maybe the Archive might've given you time to think or something. Maybe realize what a scum bag you were. But I guess not."
Scarab watched from the sidelines, an even expression on his horrid little face.
"Oh shove off you sham of a Wishmaster! You and I both know that he wouldn't have none of this if it weren't for you! He's a leech. And you're just letting him cling to your belly."
"That's it, get out-"
Prismo stopped as a hand tapped his shoulder. Scarab had stood up and walked to stand beside the Wishmaster.
"Lovebug?"
Scarab took a deep breath.
"Let me handle this, Prismo."
The dream's eyes widened, looking between Scarab and Orbo concerned.
"Are you sure...?"
"Completely. It's clear he has something to say to me. I say let him say his piece. And I'll say mine. And then I kick him out."
The two shared a look with each other, a silent conversation bouncing back and forth between them. Prismo nodded, taking a step back to observe.
Scarab turned back to Orbo.
"You've got something you want to say to me, Orbo? Now's the time. Go ahead. Nothing will leave this room. You've never held back before."
Orbo blinked. Scara had never looked this... calm before. He saw the traces of wish magic thrumming across his shell.
"You're nothing. You know that, right Scrabs? You're just a dirty little cockroach. This life ain't meant for the likes of you."
"Oh come now. Is that the best you've got?"
Rage boiled into Orbo's heart.
"You know what I said was right. This? All this? It's all Prismo. You'd be nothing without him. I'd have tossed you in the incinerator without a second thought if not for him. Just like I did with your antenna and your wings."
He saw Scarab stiffen a bit, but his expression remained unchanged. Prismo seemed to be boiling, but the cockroach seemed to be keeping him at bay.
"Yeah, there's that little mystery solved for you, mate. I tossed your antenna the second you left. I kept your wings in a drawer for a few centuries. Then I tossed those too. It's what creatures like you are meant for. You're an ugly little novelty. And if it wasn't for him trying to get some, you'd be nothing. You're built on nothing but luck and riding on someone else's coattails. You and I both know it.
"I'd do it all again. I'd just be better at training you to keep your mouth shut."
Scarab was still. Silent.
Yeah, that's right. You know I'm right, you cockroach.
"Are you done?"
Orbo's scowl deepened. He didn't step down, he never would to the likes of Scarab.
"Seems like it. You know... Everything you said probably would've... I'm not sure. Devastated me? If it were a few thousand years ago, I'd have believed everything you said. I still believe some of it. I truly believe you'd have done everything you did to me, again and again. Even after one million years in the Archive, you would still see me as nothing but a skittering little insect at your feet."
Scarab opened his elytra, letting his false wings carry him up into a relaxed hover, above Orbo.
"But... Well, we're not 5,000 years ago. I lived. I carried on. You languished. I know where you're stationed, Orbo. I know all you have is words. Empty words. You can't help but recall what happened all those eons ago, because you can't do anything except revel in the past."
Scarab took a moment to examine his talons before looking back down at the Star Core.
"I know what you are, Orbo."
He lowered himself, leaning his face in close.
"You're empty. You're sad and empty. There's just... nothing but hollow ego inside you."
Scarab raised himself back up, his expression almost softening.
"That's the difference between us, Orbo. You're nothing but ego, so what are you when you sit at the bottom of the hierarchy? I'm not interested in your politics. I'm not interested in your games. I know you only came here to play. But you're the only one at the table, Orbo. You're playing by yourself."
Scarab let himself drift into a relaxed position, even reaching down to pet the snake's head softly.
"I don't forgive you, for what you did to me. But I will thank you. Unfortunately, you have nothing else I want. Perhaps I'll forgive you, in a millennia or two. Honestly, I hope all the best for you. But... above all else..."
Scarab landed on the ground again, hands folded in front of him.
"Above all else, I pity you Orbo. I. Pity. You. Now then, this has been a good chat. Goodbye."
And with a snap, Orbo was gone. Dumped right back in the compiler's office. With nothing but a hollow anger and confusion.
-----------------------------
Scarab released a shuddering breath. Prismo was by his side in an instant, cooing and kissing the side of his head and neck, nuzzling his cheek.
"You did so good, Lovebug... Glob, I'm so proud of you..."
Scarab nodded. His hands trembled, but he made sure to get a good hold of Prismo's. He turned his head to nuzzle back. He let the Wishmaster drag him back to the couch, wrapping around him in a loving embrace, murmuring sweet nothings.
Scarab thought hard about what just happened. What he said.
That was hard. That was terrifying. But...
He purred into Prismo's sweet touched. He looked all around their little paradise, their home. He was safe here. He was loved here.
Above all, he was free here.

Can I request Prismo, Scarab, Fiona and reader who is the warden of Citadel Prison?
Character: Treats everything lightly, regardless of the severity of the situation. In battle, she is full of sarcasm, ridiculing opponents, not taking many of them seriously because of the huge difference in strength. You have never had much sympathy for your work, but you use your power: your ruthlessness towards enemies and the destruction you cause are caused by your wastefulness and the unbridled nature of your strength in battle - all justified by your divinity. You are also calm and cool-headed in stressful situations, for example, when fighting with enemies of equal strength. Sometimes you seem overly distracted, for example, chasing fleeing criminals, you put too much energy into a strike that destroys an entire city. But with all this, you have a weakness for children :>
I would like to add that in the past you were an auditor god, and the scarab was sent to you for an internship so that he could take your position, and you were appointed to the post of head of the Citadel. For a thousand years, you did your job flawlessly, but one day, when you had a lunch break, the Lich destroyed the prison and freed all the criminals, and when you returned, it was already over. Then you were put on trial, but they gave you a chance so that you could fix everything.

Here is a drawing of the reader's appearance and I apologize for the huge number of words😅
Thanks ♡
Platonic headcanons The warden of the prison
🐰 Fionna Campbell x fem!Reader 🗡
Having found herself in an unfamiliar world so different from her native one, Fionna did not expect that she would be chased. Scarab wasn't going to leave her alone, but even he didn't know that he wasn't the only one chasing her. This was your chance to make things right. When you were the head of the Citadel, you didn't really like your job, but you did it flawlessly, until recently. You only went to your lunch for a couple of minutes, and when you returned everything was destroyed, the criminals escaped, and the court was waiting for you. But now you had a chance to fix it
You followed the tracks until you got to a strange world where there was no magic. That's where you found Scarab. Only by that time your order had changed. Your bosses wanted you to calm him down, because Scarab lost his temper, after that you could be free. While you were teasing him, saying that you would destroy this world much faster, Fionna was looking at you with wide eyes. You were huge. You had wings instead of arms, and your legs were like a bird's. You were taller than some of the buildings and clearly didn't notice her standing next to you until Fionna also got into a fight with Scarab
When it was over, you wondered what kind of world it was. You've never heard of such a place before. And that's when you finally saw Fionna, who asked you not to destroy anything. Perhaps if it had been someone else, you would have done exactly the opposite out of some harmfulness. But she seemed like just a child to you, even though she was very capable. Compared to you, who were over a thousand years old, she was, she really was a child to you. You just didn't want to see her upset
You no longer had to stay in one place and keep an eye on criminals. You were free, and you decided to use that freedom by staying in the world where Fionna lived. She promised to tell you about the world where she lived and even introduce you to her friends, and you decided for yourself that you would look after her and her world. Considering your previous job, your current idea would be comparable to a simple vacation. You intended to have a proper rest for the first time in a thousand years, and Fionna had the role to keep you company for part of that time
🥒 Prismo x fem!Reader 🖥
You and Prismo knew each other even before you became the head of the Citadel. You used to spend a lot of time together. He was someone you could call your friend and your words would be sincere. But when you got a job, you saw a lot less of each other. Prismo missed you, but he understood that you couldn't leave your post, because otherwise anything could happen
He learned from his friends about what happened to the Citadel and that you were awaiting trial. Prismo found it hard to believe that you could really let the criminals escape so easily. He knew you for a long time and knew that despite the fact that you didn't take a lot of things seriously, you did your job flawlessly for a thousand years. Prismo hoped that you would be okay
He learned about what happened to you directly from you. You followed Scarab, intending to find him on the orders of your bosses. What Scarab did to your friend angered you and you promised Prismo that you would try to free him. You understood that in order to save him, you had to stop Scarab, and you hoped that you could do it as soon as possible
When Prisma was free, he hoped to meet you soon, and you really came. You were free and all charges against you were dropped, so you could afford to make up for the time you didn't see each other
🪲 Scarab x fem!Reader 🗡
Scarab thought highly of you. Once upon a time he was your protégé and since then he has had only a good opinion of you. At least until he found out that the Citadel had been destroyed, the criminals had escaped and you were awaiting trial. He doubted that this would have happened if you had done your job the way you used to, so his opinion of you worsened. He was too busy to figure out what really happened, but he understood that few people could defeat you to free the prisoners
When he sought to destroy a world that should not have existed, he did not know that you were following him. Your bosses decided to give you a chance to correct your mistake and you couldn't miss this chance
Scarab did not expect to see you, but even more he did not expect that you came to calm him down on the orders of the bosses. Scarab was very angry, but you didn't care about it. You deliberately provoked him without even taking your battle seriously. Scarab was too wrapped up in his emotions to notice that you were stronger than him
After the defeat, Scarab was punished for his act. He came under the supervision of Prisma and you. You no longer had your old job, but a new one appeared, which consisted of looking after a single ward. Now you've had a lot of time to put your former protege on the right track

here's the official Lumberjackass lore post (1/?) because my brain cannot contain the worlds it creates in juxtaposition with Nebada.
Establishing biological consistencies/canon first, grunts are not born, but created. The exact process by which I am not intimately familiar with but the process is almost entirely "unnatural" or artificial, basically pumping out identical copies of the same fuckass dude with the only notable exceptions being Visible fuckups in the code (dominant phenotypical mutations) and invisible mutations that change internal or recessive factors.
Grunt making machine makes grunts. A.A.H.W. has a need both for soldiers to throw at the one of the only threats to the Auditor, and for training subjects. Logical conclusion is a seedily ran mass cloning and "training" facility that literally just. Produces guys, makes them fight each other or trained and armed Agents, and if you die they make more. If you live, however, things don't get any easier. Your promotion is increasingly cruel and difficult daily "sparring" with armed and overpowered Agents who are outnumbering you in one way or the other. Most do not survive the first month, and ones that survive more than a year are extraordinarily rare and viewed as somewhat valueable training assets.
This brings us to #303N-52, one of the routinely generated grunts. She isn't special or noteable in any particular way, aside from small genetic deviations that don't set off any sort of worry. The only thing exceptional about her is that she survives.
And she just keeps doing it. Over and over. Head tilting, curiousity inducing resiliency and instincts in self defence and preservation. Longer she survives, the more days and trials she pushes herself through, the more conscious and "her" she becomes. As time passes, her body hardens, coming back from the brink of death, blood loss, bodily and mental trauma over and over again. She becomes a popular target, almost entirely out of curious bemusement from those who wonder when she'll give out.
Her movements are hard and slow, tanky. She nigh exclusively grapples and does hand to hand both out of neccessity and preference. When she disarms Agents she typically doesn't bother picking up the weapon unless she's certain it would end the fight sooner. Her knuckles are nearly constantly split and bleeding at this given point, and the scar tissue fights the splits in a desperate attempt to close the wound. Her preference for hand to hand is entirely because of nearsightedness and her physical proclivity for the tactile satisfaction of beating people.
The incredible cruelty and immorality even for the standards of the AAHW meets displeased ears, and multiple differently aligned factions work against it's existence until it is effectively defunct. However, upon going defunct, the AAHW fuckers kinda just. Leave. And leave the "subjects" locked in the defunct and essentially abandoned building. This is where you come in. (if you want blinks animely)
Whoever fits the narrative (Hank, random guy 15, the girl reading this) comes by the fucked up newly abandoned building, breaks in, sees a bunch of corpses in various states of decay and Oh My God Why Is She Still Alive. Jesus Fucking Christ.
And thats just the establishing shot this is just part one please have patience with me. Or don't. I'm not your dad.

HWJSJNES here u are!!! My 2B lore
So, 2B used to work for the AAHW like.. legitimately before becoming a spy. He didn't really? Know fully what they were doing, like a lot of scientists there. He was also very young, early twenties, he didn't really have the life experience to go hm, this doesn't seem like a good thing.
He was assigned to work on the mag agent project, which was told to him that it was to figure out a way to cure death and all of that. He wasn't fully responsible for mag agents, he worked with other scientists, but he had a hand in it. He didn't realize what they were doing until the first mag agent was made. His friend, and kinda lover? They danced around it, died and 2B sick with grief was given the choice by Auditor to bring him back with the mag agent program. Of course, he didn't know what it did to people so he agreed. What happened in reality was mag agent torture was created and in the horror of the moment 2B didn't escape the insinuating rampage from torture and died.
Upon dying, he ended up in purgatory. He wasn't as ripped apart as Deimos, but he had his jaw ripped out and upon finishing his 'trial' similar to Deimos he was cursed. His face with fixed but with the very obvious spikes growing out of his jaw. Along with that was his very sharp teeth, red eyes with black instead of white behind them, claws n really everything associated with a mag agent. In my stuff, purgatory curses the victim with something that gives them an ability but with a sort of catch added being a reference to their past lives. Auditor has wings she can't use, Deimos has no mouth so he can't smoke, and 2B looks like a mag agent.
2B eventually escapes purgatory and after that he joins the rebellion, hellbent on getting revenge on Auditor for using him. He trims the spikes on his face and bandages them up to hide them, he wears his mask and goggles to hide his fangs and eyes.
He comes back to the AAHW as a spy and is very hellbent on fucking them over .. and then baby Deimos happens and he becomes a dad OOPIES HEJAJJE

Auditity headcanons
Auditor(Madness Combat) and Entity(Dead by Daylight)
Evil void lesbians
how exactly these two end up together is beyond me right now but
Entity is by far the stronger of the two Auditor is just some magical small void thing while the Entity is a god existing outside of space and time in their own dimension their realm.
Despite this any time someone says anything bad about the Entity in the Auditor’s presence, it’s on sight, sword out ready to kill. Could the Entity just shove said person into another trail? Or just torture them herself? Of course but Auditor isn’t just going to stand there while people talk shit about her girlfriend.
Not all insults get Auditor violent though they are two powerful beings who watch others pain and suffering for fun. She expects things like evil bitch, monster, horrid creature, asshole. It’s more when people insinuate that the she is only dating the Entity for their power, that the only good quality the Entity has is her power like she doesn’t have any worth aside from that. Or if people word things like “I can’t believe the Auditor is dating that monster” suggesting again that the Entity is undeserving of her love. They are both evil monsters in love shut up! The Entity is more than just her power and the Auditor will beat the shit out of any who say otherwise.
A lot of people who are unaware of their bond who say they are only together for power comes partly from the fact that the Auditor is not big on public displays of affection and prefers to keep affection in private yet the Entity gives zero shits and is going to kiss her girlfriend and proudly show her some cool human skull they picked up to add to their collection of favorite skulls.
Entity’s love languages are words of affection and quality time Auditor’s love languages are gifts and grand gestures Pretty equal with physical contact it’s again Auditor prefers to keep most of that for when they are by themselves.
The Entity gets jealous a lot faster than the Auditor does. Entity has never shared anything before until Auditor came around being the queen of the death trials dimension does that to ya. While the Auditor doesn’t really share things either she’s seen how Sanford, Deimos and Hank act and is like yea that’d be fine if that occurred.
I feel my characterization of the Entity might be weird to some but like she has never interacted with another person, as a person. Like sure she knows how to play chess with survivor and killers mental health but she thinks of them as toys. She probably can’t even recall the last time she required humanoid form she is usually just those arms those arm things that stab people on hooks or at the end of trials. The Entity knows how to break people, not how to be one and since a lot of the survivors find it unnerving knowing that the Entity is capable of thought, capable of caring for another person, and just choosing to use their powers for their dark evil desires is worse than just some evil thoughtless dimension doing what comes natural to it, has no plans on changing their behavior.
Imagine the killers? Mr Myers learning this lanky ass spider is what has trapped him here and gives him rules to follow pisses him off to no end.
Entity and Auditor’s relationship probably isn’t perfect like I wouldn’t be surprised if the Entity has tried some kind of mind games with Auditor and Auditor while okay having a powerful girlfriend has gotten curious a time or two if she can have that kind of power herself. What’s better than one god than two ya know? Fights as they both learn how to treat each other as people instead of playthings or tools to use against others.
Anytime they fight everyone in the Entity’s realm knows about it they can feel it in the way everything shifts and shakes as though a earthquake or heavy storm is going through the area.
They are both switches but most of the time Auditor is the dom. Despite allowing Auditor to lead in this kind of situation the Entity doesn’t trust the Auditor to meet them in places outside of their realm since they are the most powerful when within her realm.
Yes I called the ship Auditity because it vaguely sounds like all de titty

Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr - Feast Day - February 1st
Also called Theophorus (Theophoros); born in Syria, around the year 50; died at Rome between 98 and 117.
More than one of the earliest ecclesiastical writers have given credence, though apparently without good reason, to the legend that Ignatius was the child whom the Savior took up in His arms, as described in Mark 9:35. It is also believed, and with great probability, that, with his friend Polycarp, he was among the auditors of the Apostle St. John. If we include St. Peter, Ignatius was the third Bishop of Antioch and the immediate successor of Evodius (Eusebius, “Hist. Eccl.”, II, iii, 22). Theodoret (“Dial. Immutab.”, I, iv, 33a, Paris, 1642) is the authority for the statement that St. Peter appointed Ignatius to the See of Antioch. St. John Chrysostom lays special emphasis on the honor conferred upon the martyr in receiving his episcopal consecration at the hands of the Apostles themselves (“Hom. in St. Ig.”, IV. 587). Natalis Alexander quotes Theodoret to the same effect (III, xii, art. xvi, p. 53).
Saint Ignatius, Bishop and Martyr by Fr. Francis Xavier, 1877
St. Ignatius, a disciple of the Apostles, but more particularly of St. John, lived in the first century of the Christian Era. His surname was Theophorus–that is, a man who carries God in his heart. That he was a man of great piety is evident from the fact that he became Bishop of the city in which St. Peter had first established his See, in which he was succeeded by St. Evodius. I speak of Antioch, where the believers, heretofore called “disciples,” first received the name of “Christians.” For forty years this holy Bishop presided over the Church of Antioch, with so much wisdom and such unceasing solicitude, that he not only became widely known, but his counsel, on many occasions, was sought by all the Bishops in Syria. At the time of the persecution of Domitian, he remained with his flock, exhorting them to continue steadfast in the true Faith; but, for himself, he desired nothing so much as to shed his blood for Christ’s sake. Besides firmness in faith, he most earnestly preached to those committed to his charge obedience to the Bishops and Priests and the avoidance of heretics. “Be obedient to the Priests and Bishops,” said he, “but shun the heretics as wild beasts, that approach unawares, and wound you in such a manner that you cannot be easily healed.”
While St. Ignatius was thus anxiously occupied with the salvation of his flock, the Emperor Trajan came to Antioch, full of vain pride on account of the victory he had just won over the Parthians. Having been informed that St. Ignatius was the greatest enemy of the gods of the Empire, as well as the principal protector of Christianity, he had the Bishop brought before him. He asked if what had been reported of him was true. Undauntedly the Saint replied: “I pray to the only true God, and how happy would you and the whole Empire be if you believed in Him also! The gods whom you worship are devils: I cannot pray to them.” Trajan, interrupting him, said: “There is no time now to dispute;–sacrifice to my gods, and I will make you High Priest of Jupiter and a member of the Imperial Council. If you refuse, you shall die the most cruel death.” “I am a Priest of the Most High, to whom I daily offer a sacrifice,” replied St. Ignatius; “and blessed indeed should I consider myself were I to be sacrificed to His glory.” Trajan, enraged, immediately condemned him to die, giving this order: “Ignatius shall be conducted, bound, to Rome, and there become a prey to wild beasts.”
Never did criminal, condemned to die, manifest such joy on hearing that he was pardoned as did St. Ignatius when he heard the imperial sentence that doomed him to so dreadful a death. He exclaimed, with a loud voice, “I thank Thee, O Lord, for vouchsafing me the happiness of offering my life as a proof of my great love to Thee!” Having kissed the chains which were to deprive him of liberty, he joyfully extended his hands to be shackled. After praying with many tears for the Church, he bade farewell to his flock, consoling them most tenderly, and once more earnestly besought them to remain constant in their faith. Two deacons accompanied him to Rome. But what the holy Bishop suffered in his long journey over land and sea, from the brutality of the soldiers whose prisoner he was, words fail to tell. Neither can the heroic patience which he manifested be described, nor how unceasingly and ardently he longed to become a victim for his faith.
Whenever he approached a city the Christians, with their Bishops, came to meet him. He received them most affectionately, humbly entreating them to pray that God would give him grace to pass happily through his martyrdom. At Smyrna he was greeted by St. Polycarp, his most intimate friend, who had been a disciple of St. John with him. It will be more easy to imagine than describe the great consolation that these two holy men found in each other. From this city as well as from several other places, the holy Bishop wrote letters to the different churches, giving to all the most pious instructions, and declaring his eagerness to be immolated for his Lord’s sake. He found also in Smyrna several men from Ephesus, who were on their way to Rome, and as they would arrive there before him, he gave them a letter to the Christians living there, in which he most humbly besought them not to supplicate heaven for his life, and thus deprive him of the crown of martyrdom. Thus, in this letter, he again revealed his fervent desire to suffer and die for his God.
At length, after indescribable torments, the holy Bishop arrived at Rome. The faithful came in crowds to meet him, weeping bitterly while they saluted him. But he appeared more cheerful than ever, and, kneeling down in the midst of them, he prayed for the Christian Church, and offered himself as a sacrifice to the Son of the Almighty.
The Roman Book of Martyrs relates further that the holy Bishop was most barbarously tortured in Rome before he was thrown to the lions, but in what these tortures consisted is not known. Incontestible, however, is the fact that, on being brought into the amphitheatre, where innumerable people were present to witness his death, he addressed the multitude, saying that he, as a Christian Bishop, had been brought thither because he longed to suffer and die for Christ. Having said this, he prayed, and earnestly supplicated God not to prevent the wild beasts from destroying him, as had often happened to other Christians. As soon as the roaring of the lions was heard, he cried aloud: “I am the grain of Christ. I shall be ground by the teeth of these wild beasts, and so become the pure bread of Christ!” While he thus spoke they let the lions loose, which fiercely bounded towards the Saint, who while repeating the holy name of Jesus, was torn in pieces. The lions devoured him instantly, leaving only his bones, which were gathered by the faithful and brought to Antioch, where they were received by the Christians with the greatest honors. They were deposited with as much solemnity as circumstances would permit, in a sanctuary devoted to that purpose, and they were held in great honor by all believing in the true Faith.
St. Ignatius desired nothing more ardently than to suffer and die for the sake of Jesus Christ. The source of this desire was the Saint’s adoration of the crucified God, which he derived from contemplating the inconceivable love which moved Jesus to suffer and die for us. Therefore, was he often heard to say, “My love is the crucified God.” Can you likewise say, in sincerity, that the crucified God is your love, or the only object of your devotion? Ah! until now it most certainly has not been thus. A contemptible human being, a short-lived pleasure, a temporal profit, a sinful delight, you have loved more than your Saviour. Oh, shame! Has not Jesus, who loved so much that He suffered death upon the cross for you, deserved to be loved far above everything and beyond everybody? Devote yourself to Him from this hour, and show by your deeds that you love Him. This is done when you remain constant to your crucified God, and when you allow no sin to separate you from Him. Tell me who, at the time the Crucifixion took place, showed by deeds that they loved Christ? Certainly not the heathens, nor the Jews, neither Scribes nor Pharisees, not even the Apostles themselves, one only excepted. For the heathens crucified Christ, the Jews derided and scorned and helped to crucify Him; the Apostles deserted Him–yes, one of them even sold Him, and another denied him! These were no tokens of love. Only St. John, Mary, the Holy Mother, and a few other saintly women, showed by deeds their love for the crucified Christ. They did not leave Him in His hour of bitter trial, and much less did they deride Him, scorn Him, or assist in crucifying Him, as so many others. And just such tokens of love I require of you, especially during the time of the so-called Carnival, as being the time when your Saviour is not only again derided, scorned, and crucified by many sinners, but even, in many places, deserted and denied by His Apostles–that is, by those who, during the year, were zealous in serving Him. Remain, during that period, with your Jesus; do not separate yourself from Him by sin; leave Him not. In this way you can show by your actions that you love Him truly. The thought alone that Christ suffered so much for you should be sufficient to incite you to this. He has so fervently loved you, and showed so plainly His love in deeds: why will you not, in like manner, return His love, and manifest it also in visible deeds?

Ezio’s a Painter
I somehow kinda glossed over this during my ac2 and Brotherhood play throughs, mostly because I kept meaning to make a larger post about it, then kept putting it off. I guess that’s now. This is probably old news to a lot of people, but I wanted to write a post on it anyways.
This is a researched theory, not explicitly confirmed, either via verbal or textual evidence. That being said, there is a mountain of worldbuilding evidence, if you go digging and give some thought to it.
So early on in ac2, when you’re introduced to Ezio’s family, Maria Auditore, you hear this gem of a conversation as they walk through the city:
Maria: Self expression is vital to understanding and enjoying life. You should find an outlet. Ezio: I have plenty of outlets.  Maria (dryly): I meant besides vaginas.  Ezio: Mother!
During the outing, she leads him to meet Leonardo da Vinci, a family friend and local artist. This is the first time Ezio’s met Leonardo, and when Leo asks what Ezio intends to do with his life, Ezio says something about being “A banker, I suppose”, like he doesn’t really know what to do with his life.
It isn’t until after the trial and murder of his father and brothers that Ezio truly becomes friends with Leonardo, and receives upgrades. It’s implied to take a few days, and Ezio doesn’t exactly have anywhere to go, so it’s likely that he ended up staying over at Leonardo’s while all of this went down, or over at Paola’s. It’s likely that Ezio took an interest in painting because of Leonardo, though this is never outright said.
Now, Ezio being a painter isn’t touched upon at all until you get access to the Auditore Villa in Monteriggioni, and even then it’s not exactly called attention to. At most, you get the ability to wander around, and see Ezio’s room. In one of the corners is a painting of Ezio’s first victims, Uberto Alberti, the man directly responsible for the Auditore’s murder.
Tumblr media
Notice how it says “my”.
This is something that’s actually happened in Ezio’s life. The Animus can only take so many shortcuts with his life, but the important things tend to stick there, in some way, shape, or form. Rebuilding Monteriggioni was important to Ezio, so it was incorporated as an economic mechanic. Painting was important, so we have portraits of the people Ezio’s killed.
As ac2 progresses, Ezio’s room slowly fills up with more and more with portraits of the people he’s slain, all listed with a date of death, their name, and who they are. A few of them have personal descriptions, always written in first person, versus how the Animus uses second person to denote things.
Tumblr media
The language choices aren’t precisely significant in an earth shattering way, but it’s important enough to note it. It’s part of why I feel like these portraits are actually made by Ezio himself, instead of simply being commissioned-- the simple fact of the use of “my, I” etc.
If you go downstairs in the villa, you can see an artist easel, as well as painting supplies. I, initially, thought maybe it was supplies for Leonardo, but at that point in 1476-8, Leonardo wasn’t living with the Auditores in their Villa. But they’re clearly there for a reason, meaning that someone in the Villa used them. This is the kind of environmental storytelling that I really enjoy, where there’s depth that you can dig for, but it’s not exactly the forefront of things.
Additionally, Ezio’s home is filled with an art gallery, with whole rooms and halls dedicated to the stuff. This is true for Brotherhood even, after the loss of Monteriggioni, but the art gallery in the Tiber Island Hideout is much smaller.
Tumblr media
What’s interesting in ac2 is that most of the paintings that Ezio owns relate back to the stories of the gods, or of Adam and Eve, which is ironic considering the nature of the Assassin’s Creed backstory. Or it could be simply really subtle forshadowing, though of what I’m not sure.
All the paintings that Ezio owns in Brotherhood, that aren’t his, are works from Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, better known as Raphael. I checked -- all of them are by Raphael, whereas the ones in ac2 were from an assortment of artists, Leonardo among them. It just strikes me as a little odd that every single painting in his Brotherhood era gallery is by Raphael, but who am I to judge. Ezio’s just missing a statue from Michelangelo, and he’d have scored a Renaissance Trifecta.
Ezio’s habit of painting his victims continues on into Brotherhood, where his targets are the focus of much larger paintings. His works in ac2 are roughly 2 feet at most, while the works in Brotherhood take up at least a whole wall’s worth.
Tumblr media
Another thing to notice is that the portraits in Brotherhood instead have more of an artistic look about them. Compare how all the portraits in ac2 look like simply in game renders with filters, versus how this painting of Lucrezia looks.
Tumblr media
Stylistically, the portraits in Brotherhood clash horribly with Raphael’s paintings, but I suspect that’s due to the artists taking more freedom with how they want to portray Ezio’s art. It’s much more modern than the time period would suggest his painting would be, but we ignore that because they’re cool looking.
Ezio had nine paintings in base ac2, with the dlc adding on an extra two paintings, and sixteen subjects between all of them. Brotherhood has six paintings, and six subjects. Of the two groups, only one person is painted twice: Rodrigo Borgia.
Tumblr media
They both fit into the same sets as they’re painted in, with the first matching the other severe paintings, but I kinda feel like that’s more an art direction choice than a choice of Ezio as a painter/character. Obviously more thought was put into the Brotherhood paintings, so they have more life to them, and more detail, but even then, Rodrigo’s portrait doesn’t exactly stand out among the set. It’s still interesting to see the differences between the two, and kinda wonder at what they say.
I’ll admit that the timing for Rodrigo’s first portrait is kind of ... odd? The attack on Monteriggioni happens almost directly after Ezio’s confrontation with Rodrigo, so there isn’t that much time for him to paint the man. I do feel that’s more of an issue with the games being made several years apart-- the player should get Rodrigo’s portrait after Ezio beats him at the end of ac2, and Brotherhood wouldn’t come out for another year or two.
I kinda posit that Ezio painted the first one over the course of years, slowly, probably in the timeskips between sequences 12/13/14, and it wasn’t until Ezio beat the man at the end of ac2 that he considered it “finished” and put it up.
Admittedly I’m thinking of doing a series of posts where it’s just the various portraits, just because I can, and I kinda want to show them off. Maybe.
Anyways Ezio’s a painter and I’m not going back on this. Take it as you will.

⚔️ *:・゚✧┆HEADCANON : RE/MIND SECRET EPISODE
We FINALLY made it folks-- RE/MIND is here and honestly I haven’t stopped screaming!! This is PART ONE of a THREE PART SERIES of HEADCANONS based around the secret episode and endings from RE/MIND. This part is the largest of the three and focuses on the CONTENT and LORE implied by the episode. The second part and third parts will be smaller, and will focus more on Yozora’s CHARACTERISATION and his FIGHTING STYLE respectively.
THIS will have a ( slight ) INFLUENCE on how I portray Yozora and his world moving FORWARD, but more notably, it links the new episode and endings to the LORE I’ve already developed. There are a few DISCREPANCIES between this and what I’ve established previously, which I will FLAG UP as and when they appear in the post.
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you either play through or watch the SECRET EPISODE AND ENDINGS before reading this post-- if you are struggling with the limit cut bosses like I am, you can WATCH the secret episode here, and the endings here and here.
( WARNING : MAJOR SPOILERS FOR RE:MIND BELOW THE CUT, INCLUDING SCREENSHOTS )
ONE.  ┆ BEYOND THE CURTAIN - THE UNION OF SKY AND NIGHT
The secret episode begins in a night version of the Final World: a place where the “edges of sleep and death touch” as previously stated by Chirithy. Yozora reiterates that this “isn’t the real world”. True to section two of my analysis on Re/Mind pre-DLC, both Yozora and Sora are visiting the Final World in their sleep and death respectively. Yozora is seen to be waking up in both endings, implying that the episode and boss battle took place in his dreams. Sora, of course, being there after he ‘vanished’ from the world: and is effectively dead in the realm of the living.
Sora recognises Yozora, seeing him prior in the Verum Rex video game in Toy Box. Alas... Yozora does not recognise him. Yozora appears surprised that Sora knows him, evident in his hesitation: ( “You... know me?” ) Furthermore, he expresses further surprise when Sora states his own name: ( “Sora? You’re Sora?” ). As we come to learn, Yozora has been told to find Sora-- I’ll elaborate on this further in the post.
Tumblr media
TWO.  ┆ A STAR LOST TO THE ABYSS - THE NAMELESS STAR
Sora then mentions about ‘that girl’ telling him about Yozora: this is confirmation that the ‘Nameless Star’ is in fact the girl featured in the Verum Rex trailer. She stated that Yozora has been “changed beyond recognition”, and Yozora later affirms this ( “This isn’t what I really look like.” )
Tragically, Yozora shows absolutely no reaction to Sora mentioning the girl that knows him. The Nameless Star ending up in the Final World as a severed heart is strong evidence that she is dead, much like the other stars Sora was able to interact with. The Nameless Star states that “were he to regain his old self again, he would be distressed by ( her ) absence”, implying that Yozora has no memory of her because his heart “was replaced with another’s”. Notice how he holds his hand to his chest as he confesses the nature of his appearance.
Currently in my canon for Yozora, the operation to replace his heart with an astral core was not the cause of his memory loss, but the sheer psychological trauma he was put under at the laboratories. Moreover, he only suffered memory loss at the time of his operation in his childhood, and only suffered from physical ailments / autoimmune issues in his adulthood. That does not mean he remembers his Verum Regina. Likely he has forgotten her for reasons other than what she is speculating...
... or has left her there intentionally. Note how Yozora doesn’t even question who the girl is, simply stating “... Are you done?” passive-aggressively. You can even see his brows furrowing out of vexation, before he shuts down the conversation. Regardless of Yozora’s sentiments or lack thereof, the Nameless Star will remain lost for a long while.
Tumblr media
THREE.  ┆ A DIVINE TEST ORCHESTRATED BY FATE
"If you ARE who you say, and it was FATE that brought us here, then... my path is CLEAR.”
Yozora uses ‘fate’ as a reason for suddenly raising his crossbow against Sora. He was told to “save Sora” after “accidentally wandering into this place” and going through some “trials”. This aligns with my headcanons about the ‘Watchmen of Fate’: phantasmic creatures who serve as the auditors of the universe, ensuring that a balance is maintained.
The watchmen had approached Yozora after he had crossed into the Realm of the Dead, and discovered the true nature of his home realm: that it was the netherworld of all universes. Due to being the sole survivor of Gigas experimentation as the first ‘ascended’ human, Yozora was fit to become the god of death. To claim his crown, as the Verum Rex-- a title he had previously denied whilst under Gigas Corporation.
Yozora was convinced that he needed to claim his throne: to maintain the cycle of death and rebirth-- and thus the balance of the universe-- prevent the universe from meeting a grave fate. To prevent individuals and organisations alike acting against the cycle of reincarnation... Sora included.
But Sora was an exception. The watchmen did not tell Yozora to punish Sora... but to save him. As aforementioned in my previous analysis post, much as Yozora is the embodiment and guardian of death, Sora is his parallel: the embodiment and guardian of rebirth. Sora losing the power of waking ( and thus, his power to rebirth souls ), is catastrophic to the multiverse as we know it. The being of rebirth is dead, and ended up in Yozora’s nether-realm.
Tumblr media
FOUR.  ┆ CRYSTALLIS AD CAELUM - CRYSTAL STASIS
In the best interests of the universe, Yozora is left with no choice but to save Sora by completing the cycle of reincarnation. By stripping body from soul, and placing Sora’s lifeforce in crystal stasis-- as seen in the bad ending.
Crystal stasis, being a prominent feature of the FFXIII and Fabula Nova Crystallis universes, is the state a human undergoes when completing their ‘Focus’, or divine mission, as per the order of the gods. It holds the promise of ‘eternal life’: when recovering from crystal stasis, a human can return to life exactly as they were when they were placed in the stasis. It can be seen as a way of preserving life, or maintaining the same soul over multiple lifetimes: much like reincarnation.
Crystal stasis can be bestowed upon others by those who hold divine power. In the bad ending, we see Yozora assumedly turning Sora into a crystal after defeating him. Not only is this evidence of his celestial status, but his intention to preserve Sora’s life in an effort to reincarnate him. After crystallising Sora, Yozora is seen to touch Sora gently and declare with resolve: “I will save you.”
Under the guidance of fate itself, Yozora will not only bring Sora back to life... but ascend him as the god of rebirth to serve alongside him.
Tumblr media
FIVE.  ┆ A FIRST UNION... OR REPEATED HISTORY?
Perhaps the most question-inducing aspect of the episode is the nature of Yozora and Sora’s relationship. Despite meeting each other for the first time, they both exhibit cues of recognition and familiarity-- both in their speech and their physicality.
After Sora correctly stated Yozora’s name, the latter immediately questions: “How do you recognise me as Yozora?”, and then immediately after: “Why are you using Sora’s name?” When given the task to find Sora by the Watchmen of Fate, I speculate that Yozora was given a physical description of what Sora looks like: which is why he doesn’t recognise Sora by appearance alone, and later questions “Sora? You’re Sora?”
What does this mean? The fact that Yozora doesn’t recognise Sora at first, and that Sora shouldn’t recognise Yozora, implies that they have both previously been reincarnated into new bodies, whilst retaining the same souls.
But there is also evidence of Yozora demonstrating more familiarity towards Sora in both endings. In the bad ending, Yozora is seen to reach out and gently touch Sora’s crystallised form, whilst in the good ending, Yozora is seen to smile after Sora defeated him. Both are unusually gentle gestures from someone who so quickly ( and mercilessly ) initiated battle. Particularly in the good ending, Yozora concludes that his “powers aren’t needed yet”,  and for Sora not to worry when the boy inevitably questioned him about it.
It is likely that Yozora has met Sora more than once before, and is reminiscent of their past lives together. This could explain why Yozora looks physically similar to Riku: being a friend of Sora’s in his recently departed life.
Tumblr media
TO CONCLUDE:
1. Yozora and Sora both reside in the Final World, in their sleep and death respectively.  2. Yozora ( the embodiment of death ) was tasked by the Watchmen of Fate to save Sora ( the embodiment of rebirth ), after Sora perishes. 3. As Yozora has ascended as god of death, he plans to ascend Sora as god of rebirth to maintain the universal cycle of reincarnation.  4. They have both met before in previous incarnations, hence why there is a juxtaposition between their physicality/knowledge of each other and the fact they have only met for the first time. This also explains why Yozora is confused about both Sora’s appearance and Sora’s recognition of his own new appearance.

IT IS OFFICAL! I AM NOW MIRA CARLEEN MESSINGER-BRUER (My MtF~HRT Journey)
Tumblr media
So the story goes like this...
As I was writing the previous post: Attempting To Legally Change My Name To Mira, my mother, Michelle arrived to the courthouse just in time! My whole family was unaware of my actions today, until this early morning when I told Michelle that I was heading to the courthouse to file my petition to change my name and by surprise and shock...I was assigned a hearing in 30 minutes. When she arrived for Zack’s Trial (happening the same day), she was surprised to find me waiting as I told her that I had a hearing in a few minutes and she asked if I would like her to attend and I promptly nodded my head!
Inside the small District Courtroom, we awaited Judge Laura T. Bradley (Whom was new to the District Court). In the room, there was a young lady awaiting to change her whole name, a young Hawaiian man changing his name to a femine Hawaiian name, a gentleman with a civil dispute and another ‘creepy’ gentleman here for a traffic enfractionment.
I let Michelle take the inner seat as I wanted to be able to hurry to the podium when I was called upon. Michelle did her best to comfort me as I was shaking from anxiety. ‘I really don’t like courtrooms!’ I never been in trouble or summoned to a Jury, so I have no experience here! When the judge arrived, we all were commanded to stand and remain standing until Judge Bradley told us to sit. She then called roll-call and said: Mr. Bruer? And I immediatly responded “Here.” It was like school!
Luckily she did the name changes first as she called up the young lady whom sought a full name change. The judge asked her if she was in legal or criminal prosecution and she answered no. Then stated her legal name and new desired name and asked: “You changing it back to your maiden name?” she shook her head and the judge smiled “So you just like it.” the woman nodded and said yes quietly. The judge approved it and I was shocked!
‘It’s that easy!’ I wondered, feeling a sense of relief come over me. She had the woman see the Clerk as the judge called the next person to the stand. “Mr. David Joseph Bruer...”
That was me, as I stand up and walk over to the podium to awaiting my hearing. The young lady looks at the spelling and notices a error on her new name. So my hearing is delayed as I am relieved and breathe. Something that we CFers need! The judge appoligizes for the delay, I am just happy we are delayed as I can collect my thought. I don’t want to screw up!
When the corrections are made for Mrs. Snow (that is her desired last name!) the judge turns back to me. “Your seeking a name change, is that correct?”
“Yes your honor.” I say clearly. I remember the first woman never doing this and thought it odd. You always address the judge as ‘Your Honor’! That is what they do on those Courtroom Drama’s! I place my pile of papers on the podium; they consisting of a copy of my petition and credit-score.
“Your changing your name from David Joseph Bruer to Mira Carleen Messinger?”
“Yes your honor.”
“One moment please, as I review your petition...” she looks as stern faced as she then asks “Is it spelled M.I.R.A.” she smiles “That is a lovely name.”
I nod. “Yes your honor, I agree.”
“C.A.R.L.Ee.N.?” she says, doubling her ‘E’s in her speech.
“Yes your honor.”
“Messinger...M.E.S.S.I.N.G.E.R.?”
“Yes your honor...” as I thought ‘Wait, what about the ‘dash’ and Bruer?’ I decided just last week to keep my mother’s name after realizing my mom and sister were willing to accept my being female. I don’t say anything, considering if sacrificing my family name gets me my first, middle and last...I was willing. The judge signs on the paper as she looks at me.
“Alright Miss Messinger, I approve your name change, please see the Clerk once Miss Snow is finished.”
“Thank you your honor.” I say with a smile as I am shocked. ‘She didn’t ask if I was being prosecuted, or why I wanted to have my name changed!’ I did not inquire! I sat down as I waiting my turn and listened to the Hawaiian go through the same questions; and like Miss Snow, Judge Bradley asked him if he was  prosecuted and I wondered ‘Wonder if her not asking this question will null-n-void my court-order?’ Again, I did not ask as I did not have anything to hide. I turned and smiled at Michelle as I was now legally ‘Mira’. The life of ‘David’ was concluded and I was happy.
When Miss Snow had her document, I approched the stand as I met the Clerk. She asked “Are you David?” I nodded, even though that name is no longer legal. She printed the form and stamped it with the seal. “Take this across the street to the Auditor’s Office.”
“Auditor’s Office...got it!” I said as I took my form and checked the spelling and smiled...it wasn’t exactly offical quite yet. The Auditor will need to ‘record’ the order and that order then will be sent to Olympia, where my name will be changed...so if I am ever arrested, jury summon or anything else ‘government-related’, it is recorded. Michelle and I exited the courtroom as we went our seperate ways. Across the street to the Administration Building, I went to the Auditors office where I paided 107.99 to have my name legalized, and thought ‘God, I’ll be broke before this is all said and done!’
As I leave the Auditor’s office with my stamped letter and walk back to my car as I look at my watch ‘9:37 Hmm...well that was easier then I thought!’ as I thought about this blog-post. My whole transgender experience has been personal and advocacy for other people whom are considering transitioning. In my car, I monologue: “Well, step three is done (Step One Was Hormones, Step Two Was Coming Out) there is still much more to do...” as I think about Dressing, Acting, Conditioning, Surgeries and Adapting. Not to mention all the people I will have to notify that I just changed my name and to please stop calling me David!
Driving back home (I was origionally was going to go to the DMV and Social Security Office to finalize...would have made a great photo-opt!) I finally tell Mitch and Betty about my name change...to mixed reactions as people are struggling to get my name right. It is hard to call someone by their new name when you’ve known them back a different name all your life! So I don’t hold it against them. ‘One Year.’ I think. Plenty of time to adjust!
Only people I will not require to call me by my name is my biological family as they’ll need about five years (a liberal estimate) to convert to me being ‘female.’ Even now, it is surreal! So much still left to do! And the realization thagt I am no longer ‘David’ still has not sank in...give it time! Enjoy the process.

In Game:
Girolamo Savonarola was a Dominican friar and the leader of Florence from 1494 to 1498. In 1488, Savonarola managed to obtain an Apple of Eden. Recognizing its powers, he used it to instigate the Bonfire of the Vanities in Florence; hoping to cleanse the city of everything he regarded as evil, such as art and wealth.
When Pope Alexander VI, the Grand Master of the Templar Order, found out that Savonarola had the Apple of Eden in his possession, he sent several Papal troops to retrieve it, though with no success. Meanwhile, Ezio Auditore returned to Florence in 1497 and worked with Niccolò Machiavelli to overthrow Savonarola and retrieve the Apple of Eden.
Ezio concluded that Savonarola's rule was being enforced by his nine lieutenants, who were suppressing the Florentines. With this in mind, Ezio assassinated all nine of them, who had all been either lured into serving Savonarola, such as the Preacher, or were being controlled by the Apple like the Doctor.
Once this had been been achieved, his fellow Assassins La Volpe and Paola began to encourage the people to fight for themselves. Eventually, Savonarola's grip over Florence was lost.
In May of 1498, an angry mob gathered in front of Savonarola's residence at the Palazzo Pitti to stand up against him, having finally cracked under the mad monk's tyrannical regime, cruel words and deeds. Savonarola demanded to know why they were disturbing him when they should be cleansing their homes and selves, but was met only by angry shouts claiming that he had already stripped them of everything. Having failed to win them over with words, Savonarola tried to control the mob with the Apple of Eden, causing them to recoil in horror from the Apple's blinding light, but Ezio threw a knife at Savonarola's hand causing him to drop the artifact.
Tumblr media
With Savonarola powerless, the mob swarmed him en masse and took him away, and a Templar guard fled with the Piece of Eden. Ezio chased after and killed the guard, reclaiming possession of the Apple once more.
Savonarola was taken by the Florentine citizens to his execution: being burned alive at the Piazza della Signoria. His repeated screeches and promises of the Florentines burning was met with jeers. In an act of mercy, Ezio decided that no one should die in such agony, and pushed through the crowd towards Savonarola, who was praying for deliverance. The Assassin then stabbed him in the neck with his Hidden Blade before the flames could reach him, ultimately ending his life.
In Real Life:
Girolamo Savonarola was born at Ferrara, the son of Niccolò Savonarola and of Elena Bonaccorsi, on September 21st, 1452. He was educated by his paternal grandfather, Michele, a celebrated doctor and a man of rigid moral and religious principles. From this elderly scholar, whose own education was of the 14th century, Savonarola may have received certain medieval influences.
In his early poetry and other adolescent writings the main characteristics of the future reformer are seen. Even at that early date, as he wrote in a letter to his father, he could not suffer “the blind wickedness of the peoples of Italy.” He found unbearable the humanistic paganism that corrupted manners, art, poetry, and religion itself. He saw as the cause of this spreading corruption a clergy vicious even in the highest levels of the church hierarchy.
In 1482 Savonarola was sent to Florence to take up the post of lecturer in the convent of San Marco, where he gained a great reputation for his learning and asceticism. As a preacher he was unsuccessful until a sudden revelation inspired him to begin his prophetic sermons. At San Gimignano in Lent 1485 and 1486, he put forward his famous propositions: the church needed reforming; it would be scourged and then renewed.

The following year (1487) he left Florence to become master of studies in the school of general studies at Bologna. After the year of his appointment was over, he was sent to preach in various cities until Lorenzo de’ Medici used his influence to have Savonarola sent back to Florence, thus opening the doors there to the bitterest enemy of Medici rule. Having returned to the city of his destiny (1490), Savonarola preached boldly against the tyrannical abuses of the government. Too late Lorenzo tried to dam the dangerous eloquence with threats and flattery, but his own life was drawing to a close, while popular enthusiasm for Savonarola’s preaching constantly increased. Soon afterward Savonarola gave his blessing to the dying Lorenzo. The legend that he refused Lorenzo absolution is disproved by documentary evidence.
Medici rule did not long survive Lorenzo and was overthrown by the invasion of Charles VIII (1494). Two years before, Savonarola had predicted his coming and his easy victory. These authenticated prophecies and the part he had played in negotiations with the King and in moderating the hatred of the factions after the change of government enormously increased his authority. Once the Medici had been driven out, Florence had no other master than Savonarola’s terrible voice. He introduced a democratic government, the best the city ever had. He has been accused, but unjustly, of interfering in politics. He was not ambitious or an intriguer. He wanted to found his city of God in Florence, the heart of Italy, as a well-organized Christian republic that might initiate the reform of Italy and of the church.
The republic of Florence was to be a Christian commonwealth, of which God was the sole sovereign, and His Gospel the law: the most stringent enactments were made for the repression of vice and frivolity. Gambling was prohibited an the vanities of dress were restrained by sumptuary laws. Even the women flocked to the public square to fling down their costliest ornaments and Savonarola's followers made huge "bonfires of the vanities."
Meanwhile, his rigor and claim to the gift of prophecy led to his being cited in 1495 to answer a charge of heresy at Rome and on his failing to appear he was forbidden to preach. Savonarola disregarded the order, but his difficulties at home increased. The new system proved impracticable and although the conspiracy for the recall of the Medici failed, and five of the conspirators were executed, yet this very rigor hastened the reaction.

In 1497 came a sentence of excommunication from Rome; and thus precluded from administering the sacred offices. A second "bonfire of the vanities" in 1498 led to riots; and at the new elections the Medici party came into power. Savonarola was again ordered to desist from preaching, and was fiercely denounced by a Franciscan preacher, Francesco da Puglia. Dominicans and Franciscans appealed to the interposition of divine providence by the ordeal of fire. But when the trial was to have come off (April 1498) difficulties and debates arose, destroying Savonarola's prestige and producing a complete revulsion of public feeling.
He was brought to trial for falsely claiming to have seen visions, and uttered prophecies, for religious error, and for sedition. Under torture he made avowals which he afterwards withdrew. He was declared guilty and the sentence was confirmed by Rome. On May 23rd, 1498, he and two Dominican disciples were hanged and burned, still professing their adherence to the Church.
