I just texted to ask the neighbour with whom I swap cat sitting favours if she could catsit this weekend -- she is about 20 years younger than me and other than cats we have almost nothing in common -- and she texted back "i can do it. have your back" and then a hands-clasped emoji and I felt a rush of the kind of love that soldiers must feel for each other in foxholes.

I finally got compression socks in hopes that it would help with restless legs syndrome. I don't know if it was just the socks or that I combined them with tiger balm, but I don't even remember waiting for sleep, and I'm pretty sure I was out before eleven. Compared to previous night when I finally fell asleep around 4 in the morning, it's incredible!

Do people describe accustics in a room as "warm" or "cold" or is it just me?

For example laminated wood floors are "cold" cause they have too much echo for my liking. Fucking hate them btw. Can't stand hearing my steps or the tapping of dog's nails etc. These are a nightmare especially if there's multiple sounds coming all around, the echo mixes them up and I can't hear shit.

But i love the "warm" variation. Aka a space that has stuff blocking out the echo. I want the ugly ass plastic flooring. Super cozy and I have never had trouble hearing in a space like that

my elderly dog, the geriatric menace who sometimes poops inside because he's either forgotten that he's not supposed to do that or he's decided he's too old to care, and who barks at me when he doesn't get what he wants, has now learned psychological warfare. i'm not walking my dogs until after i've had some coffee, and he has left one (1) tiny turd on my bathroom floor in... protest? forgetfulness? did he just let one slip out by accident? he's a 70lb dog not a chihuahua so where's the fucking rest of it?
