The gang has Scooby play the chase music on the jukebox when it's time for a chase scene.
Just… just let that sink in.
It's not only that it's diegetic.
Shaggy gives him a quarter...
...specifically so he can put it in the jukebox...
...so that the chase scene can then proceed.
This may be my favorite meta-gag ever.
It's against tough competition vs. Scooby correctly reading the sign with extra Rs, but it definitely joins the pantheon of legitimately-good jokes.

Mystery Inc
I've been wanting to draw my own take on the Scooby-Doo designs for a while and I was recently inspired to get around to finally drawing them.
Shaggy
My main influences were the Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue design and the red shirt design from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo and the first three movies.
Scooby-Doo
Not much you can do differently about Scooby's design. I did consider giving him a darker snout like many Great Danes with brown fur have in real life but it didn't look right.
Scrappy-Doo
My big updates for Scrappy were to give him a longer tail like puppy Scooby designs and make the tag of his collar more like King's in The Owl House.
Velma
I made the sweater yellow as a nod to her A Pup Named Scooby-Doo design while the darker hoodie is influenced by the one image we've seen of the upcoming Velma series on HBO Max. The alien on her sweater is because of my idea of making Velma an Occult Otaku.
Daphne
My main influence was one of her The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo designs. Originally I had a darker colour for her jacket like in Curse of the 13th Ghost but realized a lighter colour looked better with the darker dress.
Fred
Fred's design is mostly influenced by the hoodie he wore in Scooby-Doo and the Loch Ness Monster with the bulkier proportions from his Mystery Incorporated and Be Cool Scooby-Doo designs.
Think my design choices were too different? Here they are in their classic outfits.
And since I was making alternate outfits I also decided to go with the A Pup Named Scooby-Doo designs.
Some extra alternate costumes. Red shirt Shaggy, Cyber Chase Scooby, Mystery Incorporated Velma and Get a Clue Shaggy.

The Many, MANY Intros Of Scooby-Doo: When He Was A Pup
BW Media Spotlight bids farewell to the ABC years of The Many, MANY Intros Of Scooby-Doo by going back in time to When He Was A Pup
Can I be honest with you? Okay, I better be or else you’ve been reading the wrong website so of course I’m going to be honest. This may not be a popular thing to say but…I should hate A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. The questionable humor choices doubled down from The 13 Ghosts, the strange alterations to characters, especially Fred and Velma, and for some reason Casey Kasem and Don Messick (his final…

Wait a sec.
Porter is a paladin, devoted to rage. His character art has always given me giant-kin vibes, though I don’t know that his race has ever been specified.
Fig isn’t suspicious of him anymore but I AM, I think the Bad Kids need to at least talk to him about whoever his rage- and possibly giant-associated deity is.

So, Bob Singer worked on several Hanna Barbera projects, and helped with building SDWAY, and seemingly many of the shows to follow. Like, just look at this art
These 3 specifically read as a series of events to me and I love that sm
Love how this one shows Daphne taking charge in a way we don’t often see outside of the scrappy era and some of our modern incarnations
I absolutely ADORE this piece omg. Like it’s just so well composed and I absolutely love how he draws the classic monsters, who he had a hand in designing.
The first picture was the cover art for an 80s coloring book which I wish we had scans of online, and the second is ofc a sketch of the APNSD cast and I love it sm fr
THIS PIECE. MWA.
Suffice to say, Bob Singer’s work on Scooby Doo is beautiful, and he has undeniably created a large impact on the franchise.

You can just imagine...
…the poor artists coloring in cels…
…pausing…
…squinting…
…muttering
“Oh god, is that an ear? Is that hair?”
“Why’s his tail so–… oh, that’s clothes?! Argh, well, too late now.”
