Hello Starry! I just had a thought about your Danyal al Ghul AU, and didn't have anyone else to share it with, so here we go:

If in this universe Bruce is Jewish, and Danny knows this(probably from a google search), he may wear a Star of David necklace to have a piece of his father with him at all times, since he knows he will never get to meet him. Or maybe the necklace sits in a box under a floorboard, because he can't stand the constant reminder of the father he'll never get to have. Maybe he observes Sam and her family celebrate Jewish holidays, or he learns how to by himself, but uses the time to mourn, instead of celebrate.

But dude BOTH of these ideas are soo?? GOOD and ANGSTY. I love angsty. Danny would for sure know if Bruce was Jewish, lil guy did an obsessive amount of research on his dad the moment he got his hands on a computer and figured out how they worked. Danny has like, a three inch thick folder almost on his father alone. Anything he could get his hands on, he's got it. That thickness is almost exclusively from his first like, six months in Amity Park. He keeps it in a box in his closet, along with his growing-folder on Damian and his achievements as Damian Wayne. He pages through it when he's feeling like mourning.

First off: him wearing a Star of David necklace to feel connected to Bruce. That is SO sad and I love it so much. He bought it with an allowance he'd been given when he first started living with the Fentons, he keeps it tucked under his shirt so nobody even knows he has it. Sam and Tucker don't until it slips out while he's hanging out with them and when they ask him about it, Danny very reluctantly tells them that his father is Jewish. When he's distracted, nervous, or sad, he fidgets with it. How this looks is that he looks like he's kinda rubbing his chest, like ungrasping and grasping something.

Second Off: him keeping it in a box under the floorboards. That is also so, so good. He's got it in the box along with a few other things that remind him of his father and Damian and his mother. He takes it out when he's feeling particularly lonely and homesick, it's a feeling that never really goes away even after five years of living in Amity Park. It's like a longing for something you'll never see again, but isn't that just how grief works? i can just imagine him sitting against the bed, late at night and back from patrol. He's still in his ghost form, his katana laid on the ground next to him, and his almost bird-like cape pooling down beside him as he cups the necklace in his hand like he's cradling an egg. Maybe he's bleeding from somewhere, and he's telling the necklace about patrol, murmured soft in Arabic.

When he finds out Sam is Jewish he probably, after much consideration, asks if he can observe their holidays -- after all, researching Jewish holidays only does so much. Sam agrees when he explains why, much to her parents chagrin, and he sometimes tags along. But once he gets an understanding of how they go, he starts doing it on his own. Somewhat. He celebrates with Sam for most of it, and then has some time to himself where he celebrates it on his own. So it's a little bit of both.

^^^ which brings me to thinking about my danyal snippet here where Sam is at a Wayne gala and tears into her parents over Danny in front of Bruce. And it's making me think of, with this idea in mind, Sam in a moment of emotional impulsivity, saying "I know that he wears a Star of David because his father is Jewish and he wants to be closer to him, because he loves him so very fucking much." And while saying that, briefly makes direct eye contact with Bruce as a way to tell him "I know you're his fucking dad. Look at the son you have left behind."

If only for the emotional gut punch that can leave Bruce with. 🥰

Our Life: Beginnings & Always.

Hello Hello! Welcome to my first ever post on tumblr that just had to be about my ultimate top tier favorite visual novel of all time..Our Life: Beginnings & Always or OL:BA for short.

This game has such a special place in my heart that im afraid I’ll forever be attached to it because at this point it’s not even a phase anymore lol. I still remember that heated summer day of scrolling down on my steam shop out of boredom and i kept getting recommended OL:BA but back then i really couldn’t care less and would not even spare a glance on it until i got so fed up of it popping up in my recommended for the next few days that i decided to finally check it out.

Reading what it was about made me curious but what really got me downloading it was because of the customization of our character/characters.

And finally into the game i was! I remember when the story started, i was very surprised already by the environment, narrative and world building of the game. It truly felt like i was part of it and i didn’t get bored at all. In fact right from the start i was hooked already!

I loved ALL of the characters that was introduced, i love the fact that it was SO multiple choice that it felt like you were really integrating yourself/oc onto the game and that you’re not just forced to say the same thing as a different choice or feel as though your options are limited. Its definitely a game that you’re supposed to replay over and over because its just that fun!!

And as someone who has never had a great childhood and adolescence, absentee parent, chaotic household, unsupportive friends, want to be understood (you know…this and that) i was so happy that this game was doing that and it genuinely gave me hope to live despite going through the darkest of times in my life :)

This game has changed me into a better person and made me want to be the best version of myself that i want to be in the future! I will infinitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have a feel good game/read (+1 it will make you cry!!)

one thing i noticed about our life is it lacks certain angst aspects when the baxter dlc didn’t exist YET back then. like i LOVED the fight between mc and cove in mcs room and i wanted it to escalate more ngl just cuz i LIVE for angst! but if you want to get real hurt you should choose baxter. this playlist focuses more on the last step of his dlc and its full of taylor swift songs.

Overall: The production team wasted their animation in this episode for 90% hands scenes. They got their priorities straight (heh).

If you know me, then you already know who I am looking forward to in the next episode. I knew they were going to cut the episode before he even appeared, but it makes it even better because he is going to appear early in EP 3

to answer the question, he definitely did, at the beginning - but that was still very early on in nico’s career, and his fan base was pretty small (at least compared to how it skyrocketed later that year). i think there’s a very fine line between joking that “haha these friends would make such a cute couple i ship!” (what will was doing) compared to certain “fans” who will insist on nico coming out and them having a public relationship/trying to find “hints” and “clues” that aren’t there/theorizing abt them having broken up, or them pining, or basically just invading nico (and will’s) privacy (what will is annoyed by/what other ppl are doing).

will ended up abandoning that acc when he got to college (1 bc he didn’t have time and 2 bc of people becoming too invasive). will def was egging it on back in hs, mainly just to counter the piper x nico rumors and bc he thought it’d be funny, but it became clear at some point that people weren’t seeing the joke aspect of the ship, and taking it way too seriously (bc even tho will thought it’d be funny, he didn’t actually want to out either of them).

plus, yk what happened at the grammys. having ppl try to out nico or accuse him of queerbaiting is really not what will wants to encourage! he made a mistake bc he was a teenager and he is not perfect! im so happy to have a friend group i feel like an actual part of in uni, and to generally feel like a member of my class since like. i was either completely ostracised and bullied or alone of my own volition in all my previous school experiences. like its great and it makes me understand why attending classes didnt feel like such a schore to many people. but also i AM learning that the downside to having friends at school is that if you do a group project with them as opposed to random class mates literally nothing will get done ever. well ha! goodmorning everyone! im really happy to report that despite what all i had yesterday, im 157 today! i also may be a bit bloated from my period, which makes me wonder if im actually even smaller than that. Ｏ(≧▽≦)Ｏ

so so so excited! i really think i will probably lower my gw after i reach the initial one, but baaaaaaaby steps. i want to be 145 before the month ends. lately ive been thinking i might like to be in the 120s, and itd be so nice to do that by may. go buy a bikini (which i always wear bikinis, fat or not. im not a pussy.) and shave my legs for the summer and get in the pool.

id have my two friends tell me how huge the difference is, be baffled by how amazing i look. theyre both much bigger than me, and im not gonna sit here and say i wanna look “better” than them, because no, they are both beautiful people just the way they are. but im still in the process of becoming beautiful.

i just have this huuuuuge fear of loose skin, because i used to be in the 210s, and what if my tummy doesnt actually really get that much flatter no matter what i do? i know my collarbones will start to show and my face will be smaller but im just so scared of having an ugly stomach!

cuz I'm trying to have a scene where when he first gets taken over by venom he gets really hungry and the symbiote kind of takes over and when he wakes up he realizes he accidentally ate someone without even realizing

lol in all seriousness though, I personally like to think that even though the symbiote definitely has the upper hand when taking control, Hobie still gets to influence it in some smaller ways

- such as his hatred for cops in particular still shining through (the symbiote would be aware of Hobie's influense but it wouldn't really mind as long as it gets to eat some humans- food is food lol), but if he got really hungry and there weren't any cops around I'm not sure his influence would be strong enough to prevent them from targeting someone else... (again I'm just a sucker for angst, the thought of Hobie being driven so desperate by hunger that he just lets the symbiote do what needs to be done to make the hunger go away is just!!! 👌)

Of course Hobie himself would normally be against eating people- it's one thing to kill a cop (which he has done before). Killing a cop and eating the body is a whole other story. But I like the idea of the symbiote manipulating its host to an extent where they don't even realise how messed up their actions are!

(after all the symbiote would usually have to manipulate its host into killing someone first, since most spider people don't kill, and then it'd have to make its host eat the body as well! In Venom!Hobie's case the symbiote can pretty much skip step one since Hobie isn't against killing in the first place (as long as it's cops or something in that vein) so I feel like it could probably push Hobie to eat people as well. Wether or not Hobie is conscious/lucid while doing so could depend on the situation)
