It’s a terrible double entendre, and he wants to slap himself. It seems his dick is insisting on doing the talking, and he gets a playful kick to the shin in response.

“Dinner will be fine. At 7 pm?”

Bucky grimaces, “Think 8 pm might be a better bet, sweetheart. They’re running me ragged today.”

Her foot touches his shin again, gentler this time, almost suggestive, “Not too ragged, I hope.”

+ fun question - do you have any tattoos? If so, do any of them hold particular significance?

Aww, hello, nonny! I'm so happy you're here, and I hope your 2023 has gotten off to a good start and that you'll have nothing but peace and joy going forward.

I do have tattoos, I'm up to eight now! You can find them under the my tattoos-tag, I'll add it to this post to make it easier to navigate to it. All of them hold some significance to me, reminding me of people, of stories I have loved, of sentiments I want to remember. Up until my fifth tattoo, I had somehow managed to go to five different artists, but from number five and onwards, I've gone to the same guy and he is A JOY.

(as an added bonus, speaking of tattoos, I've also designed four or five tattoos for other people. It's at least four, but I keep having a feeling that there might be a fifth one that I've forgotten about...)

Wait wait wait. CHUBBY SUBBY BUCKY??? Did I read that right??? Omg is it like gonna be a fic or what's the deal here?!

Oh, friend. You absolutely read that right. Subby!chubby!Bucky was an absolute delight to discuss with Brooke and lemme tell you. The man HAUNTS us. I can't promise it will result in a fic, much as I would love to write it. But imagine this:

Bucky working as a chef in a very high end restaurant

High stress, lots of responsibility, lots of pressure

When he comes home, he doesn't want to be in charge

And you... well, you don't mind taking charge

This gorgeous man on his knees by your side, meaty thighs, dark treasure trail down his soft tummy, muscular arms

Looks at you like you hung the moon, has a praise kink that can be seen from space

Especially looks at you with all of that adoration when he's between your legs

The man knows what he's doing, lbr

Loves trying new recipes for you, going crosseyed when you pluck his offered morsel right from his hand, tongue swiping over his finger tips

The two of you out with friends and you won't stop gushing about him

And making him blush by adding things like "I know it's been a while since you guys saw us, he's been all tied up lately, poor guy. Oh, yes, fully booked... absolutely." And underneath his clothes he still has the faint marks of the rope you used to tie his arms back earlier in the day

He nearly chokes on his wine when you tell them "it's been a real pain in the ass not being able to hang out, but I'm so proud of him, he's out here fulfilling his dreams."

because his ass is still stinging from when you pegged him and the plug you eased in is a new one in a bigger size

As much as he loves the sex, he loves the aftercare

You roll him up in a burrito, ask him what he wants to eat. It's always something quick, junkfood compared to the haute cuisine he works with on a daily basis

We're talking chicken nuggets and box mac'n'cheese.

And maybe he gets a little sassy when you hold him.

Suggesting that next time you offer him wine, you might want to consider a nice Sauvignon Blanc instead of a Riesling if you're going to insist on dripping it down between your folds

Another soft thought for librarian Bucky 🥰 I think he’d just love stay-in date nights cause he’s softie for quality time ya know? By what about book dates! You go to his apartment or he goes to yours and you swap books that you think the other would like to read/check out 🥺 plus you both could be on the same couch just casually hold each other or touching and saying which part of the book you’re at every few minutes 📚💙

Librarian!Bucky is definitely something of a homebody. Don't get me wrong, he likes hanging out with his friends, he is always there for pub night trivia, but oh, he loves his little apartment, loves inviting you into this space. It's all a little mismatched, but he's curated a space that makes him feel safe and at home.

Maybe you take turns going to each other's space, bringing books to exchange or going out to second hand bookstores, taking the time to peruse shelf after shelf, picking anything that looks interesting. Bucky picks something for you, you pick something for him, and you commit to reading whatever gets picked.

(you definitely can't resist picking The Fountainhead for him when you happen upon it one Saturday)

(Bucky swears the reason he gets a hair cut next is so he can't tear it out in frustration)

(Maybe you shush him and tell him to sit still unless he wants you to give him an accidental mohawk)

He’s just so warm and inviting you know? I can just see his little bookshop or apartment having a secret balcony where u both can chill in piece for a bit. And either you’re both cuddled up by the window watching snow fall and drinking hot chocolate with comfort novels, or you’re outside sipping on lemonade with a warm summer breeze reading each other’s favorite steamy romance novel ☀️❄️

If you couldn’t tell, I’m obsessed with librarian bucky in all seasons, so I think we should imagine him as cozy in all of them 😌

I am equally obsessed with this man, so I will be 100% on board discussing him 100% of the time.

He would be a vision through every season though, wouldn't he? Which just leads me to think about how he probably loves celebrating the big holidays.

he gets roped into organizing an Easter egg hunt at the library. He's worried he might not be good at it because he doesn't spend much time in the kids section, but he comes home with a bunny painted on one cheek and a chicken on the other and an unmentionable amount of leftover Peeps.

4th July is a big friend event. You usually rotate between where you spend it, but it always comes with Bucky bringing a cherry pie, his mom's recipe. And, of course, ribbing Steve about the entire country celebrating his birthday.

Bucky loves – LOVES – Halloween. You cannot tell me he wouldn't be the one who decorates the entire apartment, the little balcony/fire escape, he goes shopping for candy for trick or treaters and asks you to hide it so he won't eat it all before Halloween. And after having a successful run at Easter, he feels more confident being in charge of the Halloween events at work.

(I am not saying he doesn’t realize his hair is full of fake spiderwebs and he rides the train home with it, but honestly, not the even close to the weirdest thing people have seen on the train)

Maybe the first Thanksgiving together, you celebrate apart with your respective families. You send him off with a pie you made, he sends you off with a pie he made.

Christmas is a time where he makes sure there is peace and quiet for both of you. He reads A Christmas Carol one night after you've decorated the tree and baked cookies. He takes you shopping for ugly Christmas sweaters. He stumbles over a first edition of your favourite book that he buys and keeps hidden and wraps with care the night before Christmas. There is egg nog and hot chocolate, a Christmas movie every evening the week leading up to Christmas.

He is just a big softie who loves to celebrate every day of the year with you.

It takes a lot for my brain to slow down and be quiet? And I think librarian bucky would be perfect for helping with that? Hear me out hear me out 🥴

He just seems so calm and steady that he’d be an anchor to others ya know? Wouldn’t mind garden and museum dates for quiet intimacy. Would love to read to u before bed/during date nights in. Is BIG on cuddles and napping together for closeness. Is totally down to plan quiet date nights for just you two, takeout and tv and no one else, for those days or weeks that ur mind is a little too noisy and weird 🥺 It’s all planned out so that as soon as u walk into his or ur apartment, he’s got food ready and funny disney movies and some new blankets u were looking at the other day 🍦🍪🍮🍰🍯

Oh, sweet 🍋 nonny if only you knew just how much this resonates with me and how much I needed it after the work week I had.

Librarian!Bucky and his infinite patience and near magical ability to read you and figure out what you need. I'm thinking maybe he might be something of an introvert, he knows the value of recharging your energy, knows that sometimes you need a quiet night, sometimes you crave his voice reading to you to anchor you. And always, always food. Whether sweet or savory, he makes it happen.

Most often it's takeout, or things he's picked up on his way home. Cupcakes from a bakery he passed while hurrying to the train. Your favourite drink from Starbucks. One time, he has to go to Manhattan for something or other, and he comes back with a whole box of donuts from The Donut Pub. But sometimes. Oh, 🍋 nonny, sometimes, he bakes for you, and you can feel the scent of it from the bottom floor. Cinnamon rolls and brownies and something he isn't sure what it is, "but it's got a shit ton of chocolate in it, so it's automatically good".

His favourite part about movie night in? Building a blanket fort. It's incredible how many sheets and blankets the man seems to own, but every time, he makes a cosy little nest for you, lets you pick a movie and settles down to hold you.

Librarian Buckys apartment is just the coziest place on earth 🥺 he has so many blankets and knitting supplies and baking books and soft lighting. It’d be like spending the day in a sunlit bakery or bookshop, all comfort and warmth and softness 💕

Especially for date nights!!! He’s got a meal ready on the table with dessert warming in the oven. Soft music playing in the background. A stack of books right next to the couch to pick out. Baskets of blankets in almost every room. Not to mention how soft he is! He’s big and cozy just as himself, soft hair and careful hands and supple chest perfect for cuddling. Just wanna lay on him while listening to the rumble of his chest reading a nice story or poem, fingers carding through my hair or resting on my back like a soft reminder to say “I’m here, you can fall asleep, I’ll keep watch of you, don’t worry” 🥺🥰😴

This is a dream. This is the kind of place I'd never want to leave, even without Bucky in it. Hell, it's the kind of place I want. Books, yarns everywhere, the scent of cookies or cupcakes wafting in from the kitchen...

Add Bucky himself to that?

I am fully and entire unable to even.

He is a very tactile person. Big on PDA, of course, but it doesn't even need to be the overt kind. A little nudge just to get you to smile, to remind you he's right there next to you. Letting you lean your head on his shoulder when you get a seat on the subway. Using his thumb to wipe away a smudge of ice cream from the corner of your mouth.

It's the kind of closeness that just feels so safe. My friend @hispeculiartreasure and I always say that beyond anything, it's the gentleness that will always end us entirely with a character, and librarian!Bucky certainly ticks that box. Gentle hands, gentle soul, gentle man.

Just sitting here thinking about librarian Bucky who’s always looking for a new book for u. Any genre he thinks you’ll like, he’s got a small pile behind the counter so no one can get to it. And any new releases from ur favorite authors?? He’s automatically ordered it for the bookshop and got u a hardcover copy 🥺📖

Sidenote ☺️ he also collects bookmarks. Funny ones with bad jokes. Cartoon ones with Disney characters. Those shiny ones where the pictures move. He’s got a whole collection incase either of u forget ur bookmark and need one 🥰📚

He probably shouldn't do it, but as soon as a new release pops into the system that he knows you've been talking about for ages, he puts you in queue to borrow it.

And our man is all about bookmarks. He buys them, absolutely, gets the sweetest little smile when he finds a new one he thinks you'd like. But if you're ever caught somewhere without one? Not to worry. Here, a receipt. Here, an empty candy wrapper. Here, a Starbucks napkin. Anything that is flat and keeps you from dog earing the book is fair game.
