OPEN LETTER TO FANFICTION WRITERS ON ACCESSIBILITY; PLEASE READ.
first of all, thank you for spending your time, seldom acknowledged and definitely deserving of a compensation you are not receiving, to entertain us. iโm speaking on behalf of more than just blind readers, but everyone. youโre sick as hell.
iโve summoned you to provide some information you may not already know. i know a lot of you like fonts. especially those who cross post their work on wattpad. i admire any and all acts of aestheticism to a degree, and can understand the desire to use them. (blind folk, sorry yโall. mommaโs making a point.) ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฃ๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐จ๐ข ๐ฑ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฐ, itโs cute. ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ is a little cuter to me, if i had to choose. or maybe ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฝ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐พ๐๐ ๐๐ฝ๐พ๐?
now, sighted folk: if youโre on mobile, i implore you to participate in a little exercise for me. select this text and scroll through all the copy/paste/define/โsearch the webโ options until you get to the speak portion. if you need to change a setting for your phone to do so, would you mind? iโd really appreciate it.
please make your phone read aloud part of my post, and be sure to include any bits with those super cute fonts.
whether you participated and discovered it for yourself or you thought this was a crock of shit youโd rather not sniff, iโll tell you! screen readers cannot dictate words using those fonts. at least, on a majority of devices. not mine, or any of my mutuals elsewhere.
you do not have to change your behavior on my behalf, but please be aware that fonts limit access to your work.
blind readers do exist, i exist, and i am bound by the same feelings of dogged longing that make other sad horny bitches read angsty, smutty, father-wounded nonsense.
thanks for making it this far. i really hope my sincerity is being conveyed, reading makes me so happy and iโm not the only person on this app who relies on accessibility settings more often than not. do with this information what you will, and have the day you deserve!

Art Hacks for Physical Disabilities!!
I know art can be inaccessible to physically disabled people for a lot of reasons, and I think art should be accessible to everyone, so hereโs a couple of the things I found to help for a few different issues you may face that stop you participating!
I have a link to all these items (UK) in my link tree!!

Increasing the width of the pencil can give more texture for a better grip using a pencil with a thicker with also reduces the amounts of pressure needed to hold a pencil you can make your own using items like pool noodles. KT tape an air dry clay. You can also put these groups on things like paint brushes.โ
Slide three: illustration of a hand using a tool that looks like a wrist support with a paintbrush connected to it text next to it reads โthis talk next a paintbrush to your hand in a way that means you donโt need to hold the paintbrush with your fingers and you will need to move your arm aroundโ on the bottom right hand corner is in photograph of a guided hand device. ID: an illustration of the wounded man standing almost naked, impaled with multiple weapons. His body is coloured in red while the ground and weapons are black. His face looks tired.
The second image is black text with red ornate letters are the start of each paragraph that reads โYou have to imagine that the wounded man is happy. That he has friends and family who love him, that his lovers taste his blood when they go down on him and don't flinch from how the swords slide in and out of his body during sex. You have to convince yourself that after he has broken down and sobbed from the pain and fear that he picks himself and his wounds up off the floor and continues onwards. You have to make yourself believe that it is better to bleed than to be dead. You have to believe that this life is worth living too.โ ED.
