People accusing Shin of having no personality/characterization to dunk on her is so annoying... First of all, it's totally fine and normal to like a Star Wars character who hasn't gotten a canon personality yet (i.e. Darth Maul in Phantom Menace) based on their design / story / performance / vibes. It's normal for mysterious characters to exist, and it's normal for people to like those characters. But we do actually already know some cool stuff about Shin; she does have A Characterization and A Story even when the show is holding back with her.

I agree that for now there are many unknowns about her, and fans are having to speculate about her while we wait for the show to fill in the gaps and give us canon answers. (I agree that it would be nice to know more of what the showrunners undoubtably know but have kept hidden so far, like any information about her backstory at all. I am sure they are planning to explore more backstory in the next season, but it's a huge shame just bc Ray Stevenson can no longer be part of that exploration :( )

However, the information we do have about her is totally sufficient to make her cool and interesting. Imo.

That's an exciting and interesting master-padawan dynamic! I am going to be interested in Baylan Skoll's padawan who has this dynamic with Baylan Skoll as a foil to Ahsoka's relationship with Anakin and u Cannot Stop Me.

Sometimes I like to look at an actor's performance and observe what they seem to be feeling. Sometimes I like to wonder about things that have not yet been revealed to the audience, I find that an interesting experience... I am sorry that u cannot appreciate her Sublime & Unique Vibes....

The way she acts when she fights is part of her characterization! As with everyone in this show, her fighting style is designed and choreographed to be expressive of her character. The way she moves is expressive. She's so aggressive and excited and alive when she fights. That's information about who she is! It's fun information!

Look at this. Look at how she reacts when Baylan tells her to go up against Ahsoka Tano's ex-apprentice.

I admit I cannot tell u with 100% certainty what she is canonically feeling in this moment, but whatever it is she is feeling it SO INTENSELY. The fact that she reacts like this is interesting information about her character, bc every single conceivable explanation for why she is emoting this way is interesting and cool!

She seems kinda excited. She seems to find it significant and momentous. That's fun. We don't know why she feels this way, but it's too late she is already interesting sorry

- boothill is really good at convincing dan heng of anything. even if dan heng thinks its stupid if its boothill saying it he'll defend him to his last breath.( this ones just canon tbh)

- march and stelle somehow convince boothill to get his hair braided. its like a really elaborate braid too thanks to march's passion. dan heng absolutely cannot function after he sees the result. hes so into it. they kiss and dan heng tangles his hands into boothill's braided hair.

Nah, i dont feel like ur attacking me, and I hope u dont feel the same when u see my complaints! Lmao. In my defense, I am replaying the game for the first time after completing my first file back in 2020, so alot of the faults i kinda shrugged off in my first playthrough are now glaringly in my face now that I no longer have the confusion and interest in learning the main story to keep me occupied. The game is clunky all the way through, and at some times, even frustratingly so.

But despite that, i do like this game. Alot! Its probably one of my top games ever if im being honest!

If i had to describe what I liked about the game in the simplest way imaginable…I think I would say, I like how the game makes me feel :) I like the music. I like the vibe. I like the immersion from city to city, and I like the premise! I like the characters and I like the connections you make with these characters! As im replaying this game, i am most excited to see Akira and his comments about the world :) i like hearing everyones voices, I like their little interactions in Mementos, and I like seeing them fight!

P5 is the first game I played in the series; its the game that introduced me to SMT in the first place! And it (smt) is a series that my longtime best friend LOVES and never thought hed be able to share with me! It is a game i keep very near to my heart; it has influenced me in ways i did not think would happen in the short couple of years since i first finished it. It genuinely keeps me awake some nights thinking about the world this game has created, and I think that is a testament to the impact its had, be it good or bad.

The joke about wishing theyd make a persona game that was Good is that despite all of its numerous flaws, the games manage to snatch your attention and pull you in anyway. Imagine if they made a game that had all of those things that i mentioned I loved, but done Right and executed Properly?? Where I got to have a story that made sense and didnt need to be spoonfed to me (in like an HOUR of dialogue and scenes; an HOUR!), and characters that talked and bonded beyond the tiny snippets of interaction theyre allowed to have in mementos? Combat that let me use PERSONAS i liked instead of BUILDS that stop me from getting instakilled throughout the entirety of the endgame, and a Persona building mechanic that didnt feel like I was shooting in the dark looking for possible fusions that end up not even being useful in the endgame.

Ive mentioned it before, but I complain so much bc I have seen what a good p5 game looks like, and its Strikers almost to a T. Combat is still your typical warriors-esque style combat, but it is at least different from the turn based strategy of the main game. Characters talk to each other freely, they hang out and comfort each other in a way that feels more connected that the base game. Strikers implements the ability to see ALL possible fusions with ALL registered personas, not just the ones in your Stock, so you can fuse easily without having yo consult a guide. The story feels like it makes SENSE with antagonists that feel morally grey and sympathetic. Genuinely, alot of the complaints for p5 I had were almost immediately rectified in this game.

But please also know that the praises I sing for this game is only bc of the groundwork laid by p5 and the world it created. Thats what I like about this game, that it had such a captivating premise and cast of characters, that a DIFFERENT company was able to hit the ground running with them. P5 had alot happening in that game, but i think what it had most was potential. The effort put into this game is astronomical, and the possible connections you can outright MISS if u arent paying attention was worth the money and time to implement; even if it meant that it could be considered a waste of resources to higher ups.

Books and games and part time jobs???!! Silly little cutscenes that add nothing to the game PLOTwise, but define and flesh out the personality of your protagonist. There was alot of love put into this game, and its evident by the fact that we have NOT seen a new persona game released; they bank on existing titles bc they are unwilling to make a game like this from scratch again. They dont want to ‘waste’ resources on good voice acting and a complex, overarching story; they dont want to waste money on scenes a player may never see, on routes a player may never get to experience. Making a game that gives u even the slightest bit of freedom means more money in programming and detailing that freedom. This has been an issue for a WHILE, and its a miracle that the gaming landscape had space for a colossal title like p5!

I complain bc I want better, and I do not think that is inherently at odds with my love of this game. In b4 im told to get good; ive played on hard and tested out merciless (its NOT fun, im making godbuilds again and its boring 😞). Its not the most accessible turnbased rpg; theres no colorblind modes, and the affinity system is convoluted and overwhelming. Combo moves are hard to keep track of and it can be incredibly frustrating to see your turns being skipped or seeing characters take extreme technical damage without understanding WHY it happened. The fact that they KNEW the game was desperate for qol improvements by the time royal came out, and instead of updating the base game to have those improvements too, they just pushed the royal edition out for people to play instead. It sucks! Customers and fans deserve better than being forced to shell out money for a game they already played !

As the gaming climate gets more and more hostile and unbearable, I think it is good to look at your games critically, and understand why products come out subpar. Persona 5 is a fun game that has a nice cast and an interesting premise, but it is ultimately tied down by its refusal to build on existing building blocks regarding its combat, and it insists on having insulting and downright out of character dialogue and scenes to appease the audience its designed to be targeted to. It is easy to forget sometimes that queer ppl are infact NOT the prime target of these games, its cishet gamer bros from aged 16 to 40 who will laugh at homophobic comments, who drool over a 16 yr old girl with a 16 yr old mindset and a grown womans body, who need to be placated with constant sexual comments to deal with a convoluted story that will inevitably make zero sense until its laid out for you before the literal end of the game.

Its bad. Its good. Its so shallow and its unbelievable that they thought having the plot twist make ZERO sense until they showed CUTSCENES of YOUR character discussing Goro and his connections to the metaverse for endgame SHOCK VALUE was more important than just having your team be smart and piece it together over time. Its shit. Its literally amazing. It let you FUCK your teacher ??????????????what the FUCK. They also let me shoot a god in the face w the best looking ult persona in the world so i can ignore that shit. And ultimately that is how i got through the game. Lol.

Hi BPP, lemme pick your beautiful brain abit if you don’t mind. So i think it is really beautiful that jikook decided to enlist together using the buddy program. But no matter how much i think about it, i can’t seem to figure out why they decided to do that if they are not more than friends. Don’t get me wrong, i am not saying that people who are just friends cannot do the buddy program, no, they definitely can and they have in the past but my thing is, with the way almost everyone was kinda convinced that jikook had grown distant and were not as close anymore in chapter two, how do u explain them choosing to go together, being joined at the hip for 18 months? Plus they have to have talked about this at some point way before they applied. So while many of us sat here thinking they were not as close anymore, they were making plans to enlist together as buddies? Why would they even consider this if they weren’t really close to each other and if they were still so close to each other enough to consider using this option, why did they both sometimes act like they were a little distant?

I want to say I told you so. It was clear that whatever distance jikook showed in Chapter 2 was self-imposed. It looked like a caricature of what an actual breakup would look like, in my opinion. And mind you, I've never been certain that jikook are dating. They might not be and it wouldn't make a real difference to what we've all observed them to be: something more to each other than whatever is normal.

Any distance that showed in Chapter 2 was simply spatial. The way I saw it, Chapter 2 was a period for each member to present themselves to the world as individuals. It's something I believe every member took extremely seriously. It's possibly one reason Jungkook agonized over his album to the point Bang PD intervened and we thankfully got Golden. Chapter 2 was a big deal for them. Necessary. At the same time, all the boys know the narratives they have in the fandom. They know there's a faction of fans who believe either Jimin or Jungkook uses the other to remain popular in the fandom, they likely know most of the least flattering ones floating around. They know external critics are also likely to conflate their individual efforts and motives, whether positively or negatively.

I think it was important for every member to present themselves as a singular artist in Chapter 2, and this was even moreso for jikook because of their reputation of being stuck at the hip and/or overly dependent on each other. So on one hand I think they were more careful about showing their intimacy because of external critics and perceptions, but I also think they did it for themselves. They've always had lives outside each other and they had things they needed to pay attention to in any case, with enlistment looming over the horizon.

But now that it's happened, it feels very obvious that if they had the chance to do the Buddy program, they'd do it. I think part of what you're asking Anon, is which came first - did they decide to 'appear distant' in Chapter 2 before they decided to enlist together? Or was it afterwards?

Personally, I don't think it matters much which came first. They have always and always were going to choose each other. Jikook excite me because they are literally always jikooking. I'm not sure if people think I'm joking whenever I say it, but I mean it when I say I don't worry one second about those lads because they are always jikooking.

Even while they were apparently not so close in Chapter 2, some of those times they looked tormented. What was Jungkook thinking going live, just to stare at Jimin's tattooed chest in SMF Pt 2?

What was that bit with JK naked in bed and Jimin saying he could handle him? Jikook were messy as hell during their supposed 'distance' in Chapter 2 lool. that’s it that’s the title i’m going with. this is a long one folks o7

most of this isn’t sourced or canon at all it’s just personal interpretation/headcanon/whatever else u wanna call it, but!! since more people are seeing my deranged gravity falls ramblings now i figure i should probably give some perspective as to why i like/defend ford as much as i do

(in my other gf posts i do try to stick to canon to back up whatever point i’m making - this is just about my personal opinion of ford as a character, and should be able to be thrown out in regards to my other posts)

so for some background/setup/whatever (it’s important i promise bear with me), different people have different instinctual responses to anxiety/stress. i come from a family (genetics are fun) where the default response is to start (metaphorically ofc) biting and hissing like a cornered animal. this doesn’t necessarily mean there’s any actual hatred or malice or anything towards the people that end up getting scratched - they might just be at the wrong place at the wrong time, they might’ve done something super minor and insignificant that added on to a preexisting pile of stress, etc etc

i cannot stress enough that i am not saying this is ok. you dont need me to tell you that hurting people who don’t deserve it is a bad thing, lol. what i am saying though is that sometimes people can kind of suck for reasons other than just genuinely wanting everyone around them to be miserable

this is the last “background” part i swear BUT another thing thats less genetic and more just me being weird is that i’m the type of person where like. any minor environmental change can really stress me out lol. like even just reorganizing my desk can be pretty emotionally taxing

SO. finally back on topic. stanford pines. i see a lot of the behavior/patterns i just described in him. like i’ve spent my entire life around people like this, and while i understand why a lot of people see him as just some asshole, i can’t help but see him as a guy who’s just kinda going through it lol

just talking about the more recent events as of the series, he’s just spent 30 years god knows where doing and seeing god knows what, he has an abusive ex who wants to murder him and his entire family (plus the whole dimension, really), and in the three decades he’s been gone the entire world - including his own house - has changed and left him behind. add onto that that he went missing in 1982, way before we had all of the emotional/mental health resources we have now, we all saw what the stans’ childhood was like, and that ford is terrible with people - including, imo, himself. if there’s anybody out there who would have Feelings and not understand what they are or where they’re coming from or what to do about them, it’s this guy

this entire setup is the perfect circumstance for fear and anxiety and stress and uncertainty to all get translated into anger. a really big example of this, to me, is how he talks about dipper in journal 3. i’ve talked about this before somewhere so i’ll try to summarize as fast as i can lol

reading his initial entry about dipper would make u think he like. hates this kid lol. but i really don’t think he ever did - he was really excited to meet the kids in the show and already seemed to care about them just by virtue of existing, and his opinion on dipper in journal 3 seems to do a complete 180 pretty quickly which ,,, doesn’t really fit ford as a character. like i love the man but that guy can hold a GRUDGE

here’s how it reads to me:

ford gets back to his home dimension after 30 years and everything is different

he’s subconsciously kind of struggling with the fact that he doesn’t really have a “home” anymore - the sense of familiarity and comfort that would normally come with the word is gone. (i specify that it’s subconscious because, like i said earlier, i do not get the vibe that he’s particularly aware of his own emotions)

he finds out that journal 3 - something he made with his own two hands and considers part of his life’s work - has also changed in the decades he’s been gone. this adds to the feeling of unfamiliarity with the world around him

it’s easier to blame that “final straw” and say that he’s just upset about his work being tampered with rather than address the actual root of the problem, so that’s exactly what he does. this still doesn’t mean that there’s any genuine hatred towards dipper. anger in the moment, yeah, but not hatred

again, this is entirely personal interpretation, and i completely understand if u don’t see it like this!! this is just a pattern of thoughts/behavior that i’m very familiar with, so it’s easy for me to apply it to situations like this even if it’s not really part of the canon

i also think there’s a big problem in this fandom with just ,, not seeing ford as a Person with Emotions? idk how to explain it but it feels like people expect him to always know exactly what to do in every situation just bc he’s old and academically smart. like whenever another character does something objectively bad it’s “well there were extenuating circumstances,” (which is usually true and i agree !!) but ford never really seems to get that treatment. if he does something bad it’s just because he sucks

a big example of this i think is the fight between him and stan (y’know the “you ruined my life”/“you ruined your own life”). you cannot look me dead in the eyes and, in full seriousness, with the context of everything ford was going through with bill at the time, say that he was fully mentally/emotionally stable during that conversation. “oh so you’re blaming stan-“ NO!!! stan was also going through it!!! that’s the entire point - they’re both people with their own lives and emotions and everything else that comes with that, they had very human reactions to their respective situations, and they both ended up hurt!! hopefully i’m explaining this right but i just don’t like it when people pin everything on ford, like there was a lot going on and at the end of the day he’s just a human

wasn’t really sure how to work this in so i’ll just put it here - i don’t think ford ever truly hated stan, either. familial bonds are complicated, and there can be a whole lot of anger towards someone without true hatred being present. i briefly mentioned the stans’ childhood sucking earlier, and i don’t just mean stanley - it’s easier to pinpoint him as a victim of abuse/neglect, but that doesn’t mean ford had it great either. their parents (specifically filbrick, but caryn didn’t exactly do a fantastic job with them either) expected nothing of stan and the world of ford, both of which would weigh heavily on any child. plus, ford being the favorite doesn’t mean all of his emotional needs were met - filbrick seeing him as an opportunity to make money doesn’t mean he was suddenly an emotionally present and caring father towards him. WCT wasn’t just an opportunity for ford to go be a famous scientist or whatever - it was a chance for his father to love him, something both of the stans desperately wanted. (WCT was also on the opposite side of the country from where they lived but i’m sure that’s completely unrelated !!!)

do i think stan deserved anything that happened to him after the science fair incident? no, absolutely not, he was a child. do i think it was right of ford to just stand there as his brother got thrown out? no, absolutely not - but he was a child too. as for them not speaking for a decade after that, like i mentioned earlier ford can hold a grudge like no other. (this doesn’t just apply to stan, either, ford dedicated half of his life to trying to kill his ex lmao.) i think ford’s ability to hold on to anger like that is actually a pretty major part of/flaw in his personality, but again, anger - even the strongest, most long-lived of it - is not synonymous with hatred. stan, who ford has always gone to for help when he truly needed it, it not what ford’s hatred looks like. bill, who ford actively wants to die, is

i am actually so insane abt this if holy shit like holy SHIT????? it's rare that an if pulls me in so immediately as my personal preference is to go for completed ones (free so i am missing out on some itch and several cog ones lmao) if not long wips but every single aspect of this if is lovely and the sum is even greater than that somehow

the whole premise and wordbuilding is sublime and the fact that we are a 'useless' god is amazing love proving the inherent worth of just existing and that any kindnesses are all the more valuable because it's for you as you not for what u can do but i digress

such charming lovely well rounded characters and augh i can smell the angst and pain (i love it) and the gods v mortals conflict.................... also ur writing style is so flowy and like. elegant?? idk it's pleasing to read and rlly fits the tone of it!!!

I adore the new underwater creatures in Fontaine omg I cannot shut up about them they are SO cute

Like look at them, I'm 90% sure these r sea slugs or based off sea slugs, because they very strongly remind me of the blue glaucus and cyerce elegans nudibranches. I'm so excited to see them in game, they look so cuddly even though they probably aren't....

And the jellyfish!! They look so squishy, and also they've got big dumbo octopus vibes bc of those ear flaps, it makes them look even cuter

The manta rays r also so cool.. the bottom two look matching and they kind of remind me of the divda rays in enkanomiya??

also omg look at the seahorses.. the big one lowkey reminds me a bit of a dragon as well, which reminds me of how a lot of dragons are depicted with pearls in China, and the eastern myth of how seahorses are actually baby dragons..

And the lil baby seahorses too!! I love how they look like they have little capes, and the variations in their designs make me think of other sea animals, such as the blue tang or the emporer angelfish for the two seahorses on the left, and a shark for the one on the right!

And them! They look like somebody combined seals with manatees and created these lil guys... They look extra friendly and soft n squishy

AND THE OTTERS... look at them!! They are so so adorable, but they also lowkey give me beaver vibes, probably because of their tail and maybe a little bit of how they're shaped? Either way they're quite charming and I hope that we can catch or befriend them cause <333

The gulls are just Neat <3 They look a lot less mean than real seagulls, like they're just some silly lil dudes. They also remind me of corvisquire and corviknight from pokemon a lil bit? But maybe that's just me

Lastly, the umbrellafinches are just adorable. You cannot tell me they don't look like those photos where people put flowers on the heads of little ducklings that make it look like they're wearing a cute little flower hat.

Actually a bonus if u actually decided to read lol, but I noticed these in the background of one of the shots from the livestream?

In the livestream the way they move is w/ undulating fins (think of how a cuttlefish's head fins move, or how stingrays do) which lead me to think that they're inspired by stingrays? Maybe even are some sort of stingray-adjacent thing? But tbh they also kind of remind me of nudibranches too with their pattern and the little horns on them so who knows... but oh man am I excited for them and all the other new lil creatures..

JUST SO YOU KNOW I ACTUALLY STARTED HITTING MY LEGS IN EXCITEMENT WHEN I SAW THIS ASK BECAUSE. OHGOD DO THESE TWO HAVE A LOT. BUCKLE UP I AM ABOUT TO EXPLAIN MOST OF THE LORE THESE TWO HAVE (NOT GETTING ABOUT THEM INTO THE NEXT STORY ARC BUT IF YOU WANT TO, I COULD ALWAYS TALK ABOUT THAT AS WELL :33)

RANT ABOUT THESE TWO UNDER THE CUT!!! ALSO WARNING FOR MENTION OF MURDER YEA,,, THERE IS A LOT OF EXPLAINING

So for little bit of context for the future parts of this rant: Sanguis Vitae is almost vital for the Warriors, but their bodies cannot accept it right away as it is still a dangerous thing. So what do they get?? They get their bodies 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 to fit their Sanguis Vitae! While the process of reformation is still ongoing, the person is also allowed to change their physical appearance and ONLY during the period of the process, but that only explains how others look either the same as their past selves, similiar or completely different. Wanted to explain that part but the crucial condition of the reforming progress is it is not allowed to be disrupted. Any sort of injury that has occured more than once will be considered a disruption to the progress and the process will be terminated immediately, no longer able to be started again for that person so they will be stuck with the current state of their body. I am telling this because Yaku got that exact situation from the start, therefore his body was completely unable to accept his Sanguis Vitae, leaving his body almost empty and far, just MUCH MORE weaker than his coworkers, so far beyond them in ranks. Who was in fault of causing his reforming progress to be terminated? Just guess. This will make more sense once you read this to the end i swear.

ANYWAYS TIME TO GET TO THESE TWO.

Dear lord, Kenix and Yaku. like my two probably second to third oldest characters,,, and they have a lot to unpack between each other but i will try to make this not too long. First of all, just a bit about Kenix (his curse and backstory specifically!)

Kenix is not from the original timeline as i mentioned, he has never been from there originally and never will be. He is an alternate version of Yi Dal (The real name of both Kenix and the man, who went by the fake name "Ken" amongst his coworkers) from the original timeline, the man who is supposed to be the employee with be Blessing of Time. Kenix pretty much mirrors most of Ken's mannerisms, but still clearly being him, as they are the same person. While Ken had a good childhood, Kenix mirrored his childhood and. just got to grow up in probably one of the worst households. The middle child always left out of the frame, treated like nothing more than a servant by both parents nd the two siblings. He eventually escaped when he was 17, being able to feel freedom for the first time in many many years - only to be somehow tracked down by his siblings and get murdered at the age of 33. Now, I did mention that he is part of the AT crew consisting of 7 members total and that his Deadly Sin is Lust with its own interpretation.

Lust is more like an immoral desire for something, not particularly sexual like the original version of Lust. The desire for something specific that is so deep, the person swallows their own morals to achieve that something specific. For Kenix, due to the unfair and tormenting treatment he got for half of his life before death, he wished to know how it felt like to be a higher-up like the rest of the family even after his death, only for it to be twisted into a desire for power to have his vengeance. With this interpretation of Lust, his mind started to slowly rot in some way over the desire for power, to be higher-up and worshipped like a god. Just like he wanted to, right? But with the process of getting such power and title was taken to extreme levels. Swallowing down his morals, his etiquette and manners, to grasp onto that desired concept of being in power, to feel superior over others just to see how it was for others around him when he was as helpless as them now.

But a crucial condition to the curse is that he must take over the life of that version of him that mirrored everything to his life. The timeline where he was living a much better life, and Ken was the perfect candidate. So it is just "Hello, I am you from another timeline! Unfortunately, you are doing way better than me, therefore i must forcefully replace you in your own body and keep your soul trapped so you will not interrupt me :) Also i will replace your arms with mechanical ones as i favor them more" "excuse me 𝘞𝘏𝘈𝘛."

So that is how now Kenix is actually in the company, it is not like he wants to be here but oh well. Another part for his curse is that he fucking 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 part of Nahara's powers to adapt to his own powers of time, dooming the safety of Ortu Lunae by enraging her and making her create laws and policies against Ortu Lunae and its people and ensuring that everyone else in the company is pretty much suffering because of it (fucking HELL cursed kenix why.)

All of this also happened between Yaku's arrival to the company. And a note that Yi Haneul (All three of the siblings - Yi Haneul, Yi Dal and Yi Aera are employeed here and are all very close, so Kenix basically replaced the middle sibling) has just. adopted Yaku (why care that he is 20 years old! Boom, that is now your son, even if you are 37 years old!). This just brings us to the question - 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘒𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘹 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘢𝘬𝘶 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺??

Since Kenix is biologically the same exact person as Ken, he is still considered Yi Haneul's younger brother and if Yaku is adopted by Haneul, then well fuck Kenix is now his uncle (Haneul, stop adopting your coworkers in their 20s. you have adopted 4 of them already. fucking stop i swear–). Anyways, that is out of the way and finally actually talking about them. (HOORAYYY WE FINALLY GOT ALL THE CONTEXT!!!!!!)

I will just say this here, Kenix is in fault for Yaku's body reforming process being terminated so now Kenix, probably the strongest employee (he has FORMED HIMSELF INTO AN ACTUAL FUCKING GOD OF TIME WHAT IS HE DOINGGG) in the company, is stuck with this boyfailure who is struggling to get at the same level as his coworkers. But it is obvious that Kenix's curse is not letting all of this go well. It does not only make him hungry for power, but also hungry for others' misfortune. It feeds off others' misery and pretty much only causes Kenix to go even more insane for his desire. One of the only choices Kenix had to somewhat suppress the process of losing his sanity is to give in, stop resisting, 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘮. It did mean that Kenix never got to experience empathy for others, he is never able to feel regret over these actions of his - the poor attempts of resisting it all did not result in anything. He has long accepted that he may never go back to what he was before, reduced to nothing but a merciless, cruel god. Being guided by what is left of his mind now, Yaku is now just but a guinea pig of some sorts. Kenix has repeatedly hurt him and reverted back all the injuries, just tormenting him verbally and physically. To the point of making Yaku cling to Kenix's words of validation. There has not been a instance where Yaku managed to handle someone reassuring him his worth without breaking down into years, yet Yaku still holds hope.

The hope that Kenix can change, and he still holds understandment for Kenix and his past (even though he has only the small pieces of the story). That is what baffles cursed Kenix the most. Yaku, who is just being tormented by Kenix, the same way it was for Kenix during his life before death, is still able to forgive him for his actions and attempt to see the best in him. Yaku did not have a better childhood either, having pressure put onto him, making him act so much more maturely at only 10 years of age as a way to "compensate" for whatever Yaku did (it was the fact that Yaku was born at all. i swear almost no one here had a good childhood). But he still had hopes for the world, unlike Kenix who has only been nothing but hatred to everyone because if they are so great, where were they when he needed their help? Their comfort? Those same words of validation, that he needed to get through it all?

Kenix had tried to create a facade. He, who has no problems, no regrets, no sorrow, with his past discarsed - only he who focuses solely on himself and his desire. But he cannot keep it up, it can, shall, and will fall through the cracks and show how much he is struggling to avoid the inevitable. He is aware that once he will finally go fully insane and let the curse fully take over what is left of his mind, there will be nothing even remotely recognizable of what he was as a person and there will be nothing that others can do about it.

It is not like he can keep up the look of being normal to his standards, continuing to last as he drowns himself in his problems until he reaches insanity and everything comes crashing down. And Yaku always notices it. Growing up in a complicated household where he was denied having a normal childhood, Yaku has a way of noticing a lot of details about others to memorize their patterns. He wants to believe that Kenix could become a better person, and he keeps on trying to make their relationship better

And Kenix hated that someone has this much hope that he can be helped. He doesn't want to be loved this way, because he doesn't believe himself that he will ever get better. In Kenix's relationship with the AT crew, they all are on the same level to him. They all have committed sins that have brought them here, gathered together in a circle of what they all just perceive as 'Hell'. They show appreciation for each other, acknowledging that they are sinners and will never get better. They learn to live where they accept that they are bad people (well, maybe except for Artemis, she is just a kid who denies change and the future, not like a fucked up person like Kenix) and there is nothing they can do about it. Just letting sorrow drown them until they reach their end with insanity right beside them and disappear into nothingness to be forgotten.

Their dynamic is like "I have hurt you, and i will hurt you again. I am a bad person so you should not try to fix me. Leave me be" "I know you have it hard, so i want to help you because i believe that there is still a happy end for you." "How dare you try to show me love and appreciation. Get hit with the thing and stop trying to be kind to me". Kenix even had Yaku be a lab rat for an experiment whether Yaku's body was able to accept the Sanguis Vitae of Time, despite his body never even finishing reforming halfway through. (Which was the reason for Yaku's resurrection in the halfway through the story and that. accidentally merged the powers of Thunder and Time for Yaku which was just forced on him IT IS CONFUSING RIGHT NOW WITHOUT CONTEXT OKAY). Even despite all of that, Yaku still holds hope, the belief that everyone can become a better person even if they think that they are beyond saving. He wants to believe that they all can, why wouldn't they be able to? It is all a possibility, no matter if there is a non-zero or a huge chance. He wants to help everyone catch that possibility and change their path, change their future by changing the present. Yaku still has no confidence in that he is worth loving, that he is worth being paid attention to, but he still holds the hope, the wish that everything will be better for everyone - and that is what pushes him to go forward.

In short, Yaku will not be giving up on Kenix any time soon, he will continue to attempt and help him. Afterall, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺, and Kenix fucking hates that he keeps trying it.
