Ett frö kanske inte landar där förutsättningarna är de bästa. Ett träd kan stöta på problem i sin ungdom som kan få det att böja sig eller välta. För att klara sig måste det använda vad det har, sträva upp mot ljuset och hoppas att det finns familj och vänner som stöttar. Mycket som oss.

Determined, watercolour, 17x23 cm A seed might not land where there are perfect conditions. A tree might run into difficulties in it's youth, that can make it bend or fall over. To make it, it'll have to work with what it's got, strive upwards to the light and hope that there are friends and family around to support it. A lot like us.

Labyrinth Fanart

I'm very lousy at this self-promotion thing, but here's my most recent Labyrinth watercolor. Done on A3-sized paper (11.69 x16.53 inches), it's my largest watercolor to date and caused me all sorts of stress since the paper was expensive and I didn't want to ruin it.

I also made a YouTube video of the process:

And since I like "As the World Falls Down" so much (that wonderful bass!), I also made a short vertical video and uploaded it to YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok to see how their audiences might differ. As expected, it was completely ignored by Instagram but had a better reception on TikTok. YouTube reacted relatively lukewarmly. It's always funny how there are people who take the trouble to downvote my videos on Youtube. 🤣

Här är mitt andra porträtt av en stubbe till sommarens utställning på Laxholmen Kulturhus. I fotona med närbilder kan ni se att det som i helheten kanske ser ut som detaljer egentligen inte är mycket mer än färgrinningar, streck och fläckar.

A slow return, watercolour, 36x26,5 cm Here's my second portrait of a tree stump for this summer's exhibition at Laxholmen Kulturhus. In the close-up photos you can see that what may look like details in the full picture really are little more than just paint runs, lines and splotches.
