It rarely ever snows where they currently live, but Addison grew up where it'd snow a lot, so Xander is just. helpless.

what would addison and xander be like as parents?

When Addison first told Xander they were going to be parents (imagine they're like in their late 20s-early 30s, past college and married), Xander honestly didn't know how to act. The idea of being a dad never really crossed his mind, he's never had a great relationship with his biological parents (being adopted by a lesbian couple when he was about 6), so he's never truely had a father figure, so the idea of him being one was... a little unreal for him.

Not like he doesn't wanna be a dad, he just didn't know how to be one. So he kinda needed a minute when Addison told him she was pregnant.

Of course, he's trying his damn best to be supportive of Addison during the whole pregnancy, probably this close to driving her up the wall because he refuses to leave her alone. But all panic is washed away for a moment when their firstborn, Gene, finally arrives~

Gene (they/him) makes them think "oh, this parenting thing is easy!" they were a very laid back and easygoing baby.

He get a lot of his interests from Addison, mainly because with such a laidback kid who just wants to watch TV with their parents, it was very easy for Addison to show him all of her favorite magical girl shows and retro animes. They'd likely wind up doing a lot of anime reviews when they're older, but I can see them working at the bakery here-and-there til things take off with his channel.

Then, everything kinda changes when April comes around, they realize "oh, shit, parenting ISN'T easy!!!!" and she's exactly why Xander's freaking out.

April (she/her) is their 2nd born and an ABSOLUTE daddy's girl thanks to Xander being overprotective of her. She's his lil princess and she want(ed) to be just like him when she's all grown up. She's the "wild child" to combat Gene's "mild child" nature.

Later on, of course, she gains some of her own interests not far from her dad, and becomes a freelance hairdresser when she's not working at the bakery.

I'm not sure how many more kids they'd have, maybe they call it done after April,

As for Xander, I think he'd have a Houndoom, a Mightyena, and a Lycanroc
