Watcher!Grian and Admin Xisuma: protectors of Hermitcraft :D

Figured I may as well post some of the art I’ve uploaded elsewhere to fill up the page a bit with what my work actually looks like these days

Summary: When first becoming a server admin, Xisuma was well aware of the duties he would have to uphold. He also expected for the hermits to approach him for server-related issues at first, but to his surprise, there have been surprisingly little requests in all of his years of running Hermitcraft. Regardless, Xisuma quickly learns that he’s needed around, even if the problems aren’t server-related.

Voidwalkers are a wondrous race. They are born to live in the space between worlds. They are mighty, and fluid. They play on a scale few can imagine. As a race they are on the more solitary end, perfectly content to spend eons alone between running into each other. Meetings with people of the worlds are rare.

Xisuma should have been happy as a voidwalker. There was plenty to occupy himself with, after all. But the worlds that floated through the void fascinated him. Perfect little baubles, even with all the flaws he could see within them. They were so busy, and changed so swiftly!

Xisuma wanted to play in those worlds. Voidwalkers are not meant for those worlds. They are not meant for the intense pressure of the worlds. The atmospheres are toxic to them. The worlds reject them in an attempt to keep them safe.

Xisuma wasn't going to give up on his dream. He would find a way to enter a world and experience it for himself! He found a world whose spirit spoke to his. It embraced this stray voidwalker that was so determined to walk on its surface. The power he wielded as a voidwalker could easily match that of an admin, simply meant for working with more primal and chaotic material. The world accepted him, and let him enter.

Xisuma was not meant to enter the world. It was toxic to him. But the universe is love, and it loved him. It bent around him. He found a way past his inability to breath on a world. He found a way to withstand it's pressure. He built a suit and helmet to protect him. And the voidwalker left the void, and walked on a world.

He loved the world, and the world loved him. Xisuma learned so much of the delights of what could be discovered in such a place. He learned how to find the players that lived on these worlds, and how to talk with them. And Xisuma learned he wanted to share his world, and all the joys of it, with others

XisumaVoid became an admin. It was hard. He was not meant to interact with a world's code the way he could the void. But the universe loves him, and it bent. He found a way. The world worked beside him. Xisuma opened his world to players, and Hermitcraft began.

I love how Xisuma just can not get on Xelqua good side and I thought I share my own story :] Every time my cousin looked at my brother she would start crying simply because his braces scared her. So I like to think that Xelqua doesn't like Xisuma because his mask use to scares him and he's never really gotten over it :P

I have no design for Xisuma’s face, it’s just the helmet and then a balaclava under. Just eyes. Maybe that still throws Xelqua off.

Grian and Xisuma get along just fine, Xelqua sees that, and yet…… Lol

Thinking about Xisuma having to go to a stupid fancy Admin gala type thing and inviting Etho as his guest because literally every other hermit got themselves banned from them due to a series of hijinks and mishaps

Etho has no clue what the Admins are talking about half the time but he's very content with how fancy the snack table is

The Admin gala ends up as it usually does with an all out brawl with Xisuma and Etho sneaking away before one of the chairs gets thrown at them

In the treetop AU I am really curious what X is. Some of the other hermits have some rather obvious things they could be but X is a free for all.

I’m also curious who shares Grian’s situation of being “prey” for lack of a better term

We're going with the classic SeaTurtle!Xisuma... But with a name like TreeTopAU he's either at the mythical ✨ground level✨ or very... very lost.

As for being "prey" I think its a matter of what goes in nature, Mumbo could have a nibble on a sleepy doormouse or a fiery hummingbird, but likewise he could fall prey to a cheerful bobcat or a talkative owl.

Although maybe, in the reality of this ModPack challenge-like world, I think there'd be large bodies of water up on the treetops somehow to simulate oceans and lakes, maybe in the inside of hollow dead trees? It would diversify the possible species available to play with. Because so far we have small mammals, reptiles, and birds. I'd love to have a couple fishy options.

In a more pressing reality of this AU, I think I just want to play this treetop challenge modpack.
