I love the difference between the two smiley characters of Nicky and Jeremy in aftg-

Nicky plays off his trauma, using humor, flirtation and overall expressiveness to be more comfortable in himself. Nicky wears his heart on his sleeve to live in the moment rather than the past.

Jeremy completely ignores all his issues by instead smiling and being caring towards others, focusing on everyone else’s problems to avoid his own to the point he doesn’t even acknowledge he has problems.

Andrew and Neil coming out in the peak of Minyard-Josten rivalry by posting photos of their wedding on April the first.

The whole internet loves it, they comment It's perfect 1st of April prank, and how its amazing that they managed to stay civil with one another long enough to take photos.

Andrew and Neil predictably don't comment on it in any way.

But then…

Shit hits the fan when suddenly the rest of the Foxes start posting their photos from the wedding on April 2nd, making the whole internet explode with “Wait, what…. WAIT WHAT….????”

when jean is first taking stock of his injuries he says he remembers the “sensation of ripping, peeling skin” regarding riko pulling his hair out and keeps wondering how long it will take to grow back and even cat noticed his hair is uneven and asking if he cut it himself. i really feel like he might avoid cutting his hair for a while. like he’s never had that freedom and now it’s not only the fact that he has the option to grow it out but also maybe there’s trauma that he associates with his hair now? like yes maybe this is just me wanting to see him with floppy french boy hair but also there’s a lot of belief that hair holds memories and i don’t think jean would be ready to let go of everything that’s happened to him.

it was incredibly poetic of nora to begin andreil’s storyline with andrew hitting neil with a racquet and ending it with andrew protecting neil from being hit with a racquet.

One night, Aaron FaceTimes Andrew, and he is sobbing, but before Andrew can ask what’s wrong or even panic, Aaron flips the screen to show the twins and asks them who is who. They say their names, and then Aaron says no, and they just giggle and tell him not to be silly; they know their names, and Aaron’s like, clearly not, and then asks again, and they switch names. Aaron flips the camera back around, telling Andrew they’ve been doing it for hours, and he can’t tell them apart anymore. When Andrew asks where Katelyn is because she has never once mixed the twins up in their three years of life, Aaron flips the screen again, and Katelyn is laughing so hard on the other side of the couch that she's not even making noise anymore. Neil literally almost pees his pants because he’s laughing so hard, as well, and Andrew, after telling Aaron who’s who because Andrew has even the most minuscule difference memorized, he tells the twins to keep up the good work and then hangs up.

I know Neil and Andrew don't always rely on words, but I do think they eventually get into the habit of verbally apologizing. I think they both have some difficulty getting there (especially Andrew), but I imagine it would come to mean a lot to hear someone they love admit fault and make amends for it. Still, it's never as simple as an "I'm sorry." Their apologies almost always turn into good conversations, promises to work on things. They care enough about each other to do that.

Maybe because SA is the focus in my writing class rn, but something frustrates me so much about the perception of others of Jean’s SA by the ravens. “Fucked the whole defense line”…..at 16???? Also JUST got to the part of the Thea/jean conversation and realized she’s the one that said that quote and now I’m angry at her again💀the abuser bias is real. also Jean accepting the rumors rather than others knowing the reality of the situation sorry I gotta go lie down man this is too much

personally i think Andrew gets jealous soooo easily. like he literally warned Nicky off from Neil with a knife and was so afraid his brother would ditch him for a girl that he made him swear to a "bros before hoes" pact. he has so many possessive tendencies, that man is JEALOUS.

a key part of his character is that he is convinced nobody would want to be around him without something in return. he literally makes deals because he doesn't trust people to stay with him. that man doesn't know the meaning of secure attachment! he's never even seen it before!

even if Andrew logically knows Neil is demi and doesn't feel attraction towards anyone else, that's not gonna snuff out his bone deep belief that he is disposable. he's gonna feel jealous and possessive and even insecure at times, even if he won't outwardly show it.

this isn't to say he doesn't learn how to have a secure attachment style with Neil or that their relationship is unhealthy. it just wouldn't be unusual for Andrew to experience extremely jealous feelings, feelings that he'll have to work through with Neil and also with Bee
