I really love this version of the song and I just really wanted to do a lyric comic to it for Cult of the Lamb. I'm pretty happy that I made it through this entire project as I tend to falter midway through these kinds of things and they never get finished. Apologies for the faint watermark - I attempted to run this through Glaze before posting it and, while I knew there'd be artifacts, I didn't realize just how badly it would affect the transparency and blur of certain panels and it....looked really bad. So I opted to put a faint watermark over each panel as low as I could make it.

The problem with all this AI shit, from a creative side, isn't even just the rampant theft; it's that we're making one of the biggest glaring problems even worse. It wants us to believe we have a work-rate problem, when we instead have a rate of consumption problem.

Social media has created this terrible vision and life for creatives, who already had to be like 10 different jobs, now also have to be their own marketing team while some how putting out new content every. single. day.

It is impossible to keep up with. And rather than changing narratives, emphasizing how REAL people are behind this stuff and need rest and time to make quality work. Instead of teaching patience, compassion, empathy, and love... these people are like "nah we should use robots to pick up the slack." And no matter what you do you will never get the same quality has a sentient living being. So yeah, fuck AI in like 90% of its current application usage. If you want to do something nice for your favorite artists or other creatives; tell them its ok to take their time. Tell them you love their work, even if their last update was months ago. Tell them they deserve to rest.

Because I guarantee you they don't think they do.

I am literally at that point where if I see ONE MORE piece of AI “art” I’m going to ram my head into the nearest wall.

AI “art” is NOT art. It NEVER will be. It isn’t even visually pleasing. It’s bland, it’s disgusting, it’s grotesque, it’s obnoxiously plastic, and it’s a slap in the face to every REAL artist out there who spends hours and hours genuinely creating and laboring. Oh and did I mention that it looks like something that makes me want to vomit??

Even little children’s scribbles will always look better than AI “art”.
