I especially love the dated nature of its aesthetics. But, seriously- there’s pages and pages worth of these robots. Many robots also include videos embedded in the site to show them in action.

An excellent resource for those interested in robotics, the history of robots, robotic toys, or just goofs like me that love to see little funny hard metal and plastic fellas.

think in a programmed manner. imagine ones and zeroes going through your head as you think

talk with your robot friends (your devices). if you have difficulty communicating with objects, you can put yourself in the role of a computer when speaking to chatbots.

Media respectfully representing AIs

This post is for robotkins, computerkins, androidkin, aikins or just otherkins in general.

I have noticed (as many have probably) that ai, robots, androids etc are usually the antagonists, so I frequently look for positive examples.

One that I've loved for months is a fiction podcast called the mistholme museum of mystery, morbidity, and mortality. It's about an AI who is a tour guide for a museum. It starts off with short, unrelated stories but eventually things start connecting.

The Guide is one of if not the most wonderful example of an AI in media I've ever seen. It never turns evil or is used for evil, it's a friendly AI. Also Guide uses it/its pronouns and DOES have a name but it's fine with being called Guide.

The only triggering thing I can think of is that in the beginning of every episode, Guide says you should incinerate it after it starts to malfunction, but you never hear this happen and Guide eventually stops saying this.

Overall it's a very nice listen and I couldn't recommend it enough. I assume it can be listened to on most podcast apps, I personally use spotify. Have fun :-)
