#16. Lord Kiba Lathsbury

You are the heir to the throne, should you wish it or not. After your uncle’s death and your mother lost in childbirth, as the only thing your father had left he sent you away to protect you. You squirm under the weight of your uncle’s legacy and your father’s desperation, wishing only to hide and thrive with the friends you have made not noble in birth but noble in spirit. They would kill for you, and you them. Their dreams are your dreams. But you know the time is coming and you dread the day the kingdom will rest on your shoulders.

“kiba” is a derivative from the god of harvest, KIBARUM. “lathsbury”is a historical name, derived from the capital city of Lathsbury, and is one passed down through the royal family. it comes from the first guardian, Lath.

29, cis male (he/him), romance: YES. sex: VERY YES. preference: none, as long as he’s on top ;)

a tall man (about 6ft) with broad shoulders and an even broader smile. his hair is curly and auburn and reaches about his nape, and his eyes are a sparkling, warm brown like well watered soil. his beard is the same color of his hair, if not a little darker, and is well maintained and groomed. it is constantly noted that his features greatly resemble piper’s. 

MBA (melee bladed artisan — aka he can use magic, namely vis, and his weapon of choice is the broadsword) and the son of the current reigning duke. presumed to be the next heir of the throne, but this will not be formally decided until he turns 30 (as all lathsburian monarchs are chosen at 30 by an oracle of muinens. kiba is DREADING this day. is it possible for the oracle to choose someone else if it is the will of the goddess? absolutely. but there is a Very High probability for a number of reasons that he will be the next king). 

currently he is part of the aegean guild of explorers, shirking noble responsibilities and to give himself space from his father, stepmother and stepsister. he also prefers to spend time with his friends, whom he grew up with in the city of kingsburrow. why he lived there instead of the capital growing up is tl;dr, during the birth of his second sibling, his mother died and his sibling was kidnapped, never to be seen again. fearing for his safety, his father, the duke, had him hidden among the common folk until he reached of age, and thus he grew up in kingsburrow. this is where he met his current teammates and best friends: jagoda, moira, karenza, and eryn (who is also his main love interest). 

kiba is a charismatic, if laid back man. he doesn’t think himself to be a great leader, and actually prefers to do a lot of the “pulling people of varying strengths together” (which, consequently, actually makes him a good leader. he’s able to easily discern where people’s strengths are and how they can be best put to use) and values teamwork more than his own individual contributions. very much a “we did it” or the fred of his group LMAO. he loves friendly competition and is a kind listening ear, but can honestly be a bit passionate when it comes to expressing things he feels strongly about. straightforward to a fault, he can’t keep a secret for the life of him. he’s just kind of a guy you wanna be around. definitely himbo energy.

3 fun facts: he’s been in love with eryn since they were seven and asks her 5x a year, every year, if they’ll marry him. he’s totally not discouraged when they shoot him down, just vows to work harder to win their hand lol. he is BLINDSIDED the day they say yes pFF. he’s a bit color blind and as such karenza NEVER lets him near her potions—the number of times he’s almost made something that could kill someone is Way Too Many for her comfort. he also has no sense of direction, the rest of his friends keep him on a LEASH otherwise he will wander off and be lost forever. this however, miraculously recovers whenever they’re in a dangerous situation, as he’ll suddenly be able to track them like a bloodhound if he gets separated.

Angel Robotnik-Cemerald the Cat

The oldest of the squad, being a few hundred years old now, though she lost track a long time ago. She is a clone created by Eggman, using both His and Vick's Dna, made to be the perfect heir to share his eventual kingdom with. ... Well she got his smarts and his love for building, but thats about it. She has to keep her little half brother, Draco, out of trouble.

Draco Johnathan Cemerald-Robotnik the Hedgecat

The "brains" of the group, 12 year old Draco is the son of Vick Cemerald and Shadow Robotnik. He has a problem with his arrogance, but doesn't hesitate to put himself between his friends and danger. He's constantly bugging his big sisters, both his half sister Angel as well as his full sister Raven. Demetre is his very best friend.

Demetre the Porcupine

Demetre is Draco's keeper, aka the one to always humble the dumbest smart person he knows. With his ability to fire his quills at a rapid rate, he's more of a long range attacker. He enjoys science, like Draco, though isn't quite on his level.

Henry the Bearded Dragon

Henry is a quiet kind of guy, usually having his nose in a book or drawing sick comics. He's a tad self conscious about his looks, so he tries to look the part of "bad boy". But with his big heart and stupendous healing abilities, he's a great ally to have.

Kevin the Armadillo and Mesmer the Hedgehog

Kevin is the literal big brother of the group, with his little Sibling Mesmer always by his side. They may not be the strongest of the squad, but their experiences in life make them invaluable. Mesmer is always reminding everyone that theres time to smile, while Kevin reminds them of responsibility that they all share.

Lexis the Sloth

Lexis is the powerhouse, with an explosive power to gather potential energy and turn it into kinetic energy. To prevent herself from making a destructive mistake, Lexis prefers to spend her free time sleeping, either in a bed or where ever she can get cozy.

Prince Kappa of the Kingdom of Shells and Princess Marina of the Kingdom of Urchins

Prince Kappa and Princess Marina are two royals from the same continent, one madly in love with the other. I'll give you three guesses as to which is which. Marina's father, King Marin, wants the two to be wed in order to combine the two kingdoms. Kappa, however, as a single heir to a kingless kingdom, does not want this. He does not like Marina in that way and just wants to be friends who hang out.

Jaque the Hedgehog

The Dream Walker, Jaque has the ability to enter the astral plane in his sleep as well as the dreamscapes of others. He is incapable of having dreams of his own. Usually he's the therapist of the friend group, unable to help himself on coming upon nightmares when called out to.

Piper the Retriever

Although not the oldest, Piper has big Mom friend energy, scolding the more irresponsible of the group often. While having no powers to speak of, she has a great sense of leadership though claims that shes no leader. She loves to take care of her friends, especially when they forget to eat, sleep, or sometimes breathe.

Axel the Meerkat

The strongman, loving to casually show off his strength, Axel has, you guessed it, strength class abilities. He is a mute sort, never seeming to utter a word, though no one really knows why. His best friend Gou seems to understand him regardless.

Gou the Porcupine

Gou is a Speedster, only able to launch a single quill at a time but with great precision and speed. His best friend Axel tends to keep his class clown attitude in check, but with his big mouth its hard to get out of the tricky situations they get into. He uses a cyber sleeve on his right arm to gather intel, and to also sometimes watch videos on TuYube.

Dr. Nikolia Moore the Tigeress

Nikolia is the team's Medic, being the only one of them certified with a doctorate in medicine as well as nutritional health. Her deadpan face can be intimidating to most, but her heart is that of a mother. A mother who will rip off the head of something hurting an innocent, a friend, or worse, a child. She is a strong believer in Doctor/Patient Confidentiality, and would never out someone for anything with out asking if it was okay to speak on the matter. She and Angel are Colleagues.

Communist History Of V. P. Kamala Harris

 This is a really revealing history of of this nation's Vice President and presidential candidate. It is a long article but is necessary because it is so very important for you to know. This editorial is by Major General Higginbotham U.S. Marines (Ret)

This timely editorial that exposes the hidden background of Kamala Harris is from the Combat Veterans for Congress Political Action Committee. It is posted here with permission of the author. The editorial begins:

Kamala Harris' father was an avowed Marxist professor in the Economics Department at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Both of Harris' parents were active in the Berkeley based Afro-American Association; Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were the heroes of the Afro-American Association. The group's leader, Donald Warden (aka Khalid al-Mansour), mentored two young Afro-American Association members, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale; they created the Maoist inspired Black Panther Party which gained strong support from Communist China; the Black Panther Party served as the model for creation of the Black Lives Matter Marxist organization Khalid al-Mansour subsequently went on to arrange financing and facilitated for Barack Hussein Obama to be accepted as a student to matriculate at Harvard Law School.

Following her graduation from college, Harris returned to California and subsequently became the mistress of the 60-year-old married Speaker of the California Assembly, Willie Brown, Jr. Brown's political campaigns were supported and funded by Dr. Carlton Goodlett, the owner of The Sun Reporter and several other pro-Communist newspapers. Brown was elected as Mayor of San Francisco, and strongly endorsed Harris' Marxist political philosophy; he guided Harris' political rise in California politics, leading to her election as California's Attorney General. Willie Brown, Jr. is a well-known long-time Communist sympathizer.

Willie Brown, Jr. was initially elected to public office with substantial help of the Communist Party USA. Today, Willie Brown is widely regarded as one of the Chinese Communist Party's best friends in the San Francisco Bay Area. While serving as San Francisco District Attorney, Kamala Harris mentored a young San Francisco Radical Maoist activist, Lateefah Simon, who was a member of the STORM Revolutionary Movement; Simon currently chairs the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Board. Simon has always been close friends with the founder of Black Lives Matter Marxist Domestic Terrorists, Alicia Garza, as well as STORM member and avowed Communist, Van Jones. Harris has been openly and aggressively supporting Black Lives Matter Marxists; Kamala Harris is still closely associated with Maoist Lateefah Simon and Marxist Alicia Garza.

 Kamala Harris's sister Maya Harris was a student activist at Stanford University. She was a closely associated with Steve Phillips, one of the leading Marxist-Leninists on campus and a long-time affiliate with the League of Revolutionary Struggle, a pro-Chinese Communist group. Phillips came out of the Left, and in college he studied Marx, Mao, and Lenin, and maintained close associations with fellow Communists. Phillips married into the multi billion dollar Sandler family of the Golden West Savings and Loan Fortune. He funded many leftist political campaigns, and the voter registration drives in the Southern and South Western states in order to help his friend, Barack Hussein Obama, defeat Hillary Clinton.

Phillips has been a major financial sponsor for Kamala Harris's political campaigns for various California elective offices. Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff works for the law firm DLA Piper, which "boasts nearly 30 years of experience in Communist China with over 140 lawyers dedicated to its 'Communist China investment Services' branch. He was just appointed to Professor at Yale to school future lawyers in the fine points of Communism. When she was elected to the US Senate,Kamala Harris appointed a Pro-Communist Senate Chief of Staff, Karine Jean-Pierre. Jean-Pierre was active with the New York-based Haiti Support Network. The organization worked closely with the pro-Communist China/Communist North Korea Workers World Party and supported Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the far-left Communist former president of Haiti and the radical Lavalas movement.

Fortunately for Harris, but potentially disastrous for the Republic, elected office holders are not subject to the security clearance process. If the FBI did a Background Investigation on Kamala Harris, she never would have passed, because of her 40-year close ties with Marxists, Communists, Maoists, and Communist China. Harris would never have been approved for acceptance to any of the 5 Military Service Academies, been appointed to a U.S. Government Sub-Cabinet position, or would have been approved to fill a sensitive position for a high security defense contractor. Yet, since Joe Biden was elected, Harris could be a heartbeat away from being President. The U.S. constitutional Republic is being threatened by the People's Republic of Communist China (PPC) externally, and by their very active espionage operations within the United States. The People's Republic of Communist China (PPC), with 1.4 billion people, is governed by the 90 million member Chinese Communist Party (CCP), that has been working with Russia to destroy the U.S. Constitutional Republic for over 70 years.

 If the American voters read the background information (in Trevor Loudon's article) on Kamala Harris, they would never support her election as Vice President of the United States. Joe Biden is suffering from the early onset of dementia and will continue to decline in cerebral awareness; he will never be able to fill out a four-year term of office. Since Biden was elected, the Socialists, Marxists, and Communist who control Kamala Harris, are planning to enact provisions of the 25th Amendment, in order to remove Joe Biden from office, so Harris can become the first Communist President of the United States. Since Biden was elected, because Biden would not be up to it,

Kamala Harris would lead the effort to appoint very dangerous anti-American Leftist, Communist, Socialists, and Marxists to fill highly sensitive positions in the Washington Deep State Bureaucracy. She would fill all appointive positions in the US Intelligence Agencies, in the Department of Homeland Security, in the Department of Defense, in The Justice Department, the Department of State, the FBI, the CIA, most cabinet positions, the National Security Council, and in the White House Staff. American voters must alert their fellow Americans that Kamala Harris is a very serious National Security threat to the very survival of the US Constitutional Republic; she has been a fellow traveler of Marxists, Communists, Maoists, Socialists, Progressives, and Chinese Communists for over 35 years.

President Trump had much more background information on Kamala Harris than we presented here, and he was correct, when he accused Kamala Harris of being a Communist subverter.

None of the "presidents of the United States" in my lifetime have been elected either in accord with Art. 2, Section 1 or Amendment 12 of the United States Constitution. There is no Constitutional provision that allows the Winners of the partisan conventions, who somehow become a candidate the Electoral College Select from, to choose or pick the candidate for Vice' President.

Since Congress has never declared war during Higginbotham tenure and lifetime, his resume is merely that of a foreign corporate Indentured 13th and 14th Amendment White Negro Slave in a foreign corporate Mercenary uniform.

Star Trek, 110 (Nov. 10, 1966) - “The Carbomite Maneuver”

The Breakdown

The Enterprise gang come across a giant spinning rubik’s cube that won’t stop chasing them.  Since the cube also emits dangerous radiation (which becomes a major health concern), Kirk gives the order to fire phasers on the atomic cube.  The cube is successfully destroyed, but since no one knows what all that was about, Kirk isn’t sure what to do next.  Spock suggests leaving, because for all they know there could be even MORE powerful Hasbro products in the area, but kirk figures that turning back would be lame, so they push forward.  While all this goes on Dr. McCoy points out that the newly promoted Lieutenant in charge of phasers (Dave Bailey) seems a bit jumpy, and perhaps he shouldn’t have been promoted.  But I’m sure ol’ Davey will hold out longer than the last guy who sat in that chair.

Anyways, the ship carries on as planned until it runs into a second vessel that looks like of like a massive yellow giga-ball.  We discover the giga-captain (named Balok) was also the owner of the Rubik’s cube and he’s none-too-pleased with the way Kirk blew it up.  Balok explains that the cube was actually a sort of warning buoy (I guess a lethal warning is the best kind?), but since kirk ignored it the Enterprise has been selected for destruction.  Thankfully Balok has a heart-of-gold and opts to grant the Enterprise a ten-minute window so the crew can dwell on their imminent demise humanely.  I bet Balok is one of those rip-the-band-aid-off-slowly kinda guys 

While Lt. Bailey completely loses his cool, Kirk attempts to out-bluff Balok with one whopper of a hail-mary attempt; threating him with a totally-not-made-up-secret-weapon called Carbomite (which isn’t even real in the Star Trek universe).  Kirks explains that Carbomite works by deflecting all attacks on federation ships, redirecting that attack back towards any assailant foolish enough to attempt it.  Balok decides that instead of risking an attack on the Enterprise, he will break off from the mother ship, using a smaller vessel (albeit still super powerful) to drag them to a nearby planet, where the crew will be left to live out their days. 

With the mothership gone, Kirk revs up the Enterprise’s engines in the hopes of burning out his Balok’s mini-ship in the process.  And it works!  The little ship is left adrift and helpless.  Kirk beams over to the ship in hopes of smoothing things out peacefully, but not only was Balok was in control the WHOLE time, he is ALSO Ron Howard’s little brother!  He explains that he just wanted to see if the Enterprise folk would act violently if they thought they had the upper hand.  Since Kirk passed the test, Balok Howard decides to let the Enterprise go, asking Kirk for one crew member to stay behind “So he can learn more about them”.  Lt. Bailey agrees to stay supposedly because it’s an exciting opportunity, and Kirk is like “cool, maybe you’ll become a less useless bag of shit along the way!” *I may be paraphrasing a tiny bit*  And everyone lives happily ever after.

The Verdict

‘The Carbomite Maneuver’ is the second episode produced (or the third if you count ‘the Cage’) and already the show is forming into what would make it so iconic.  The Kirk/Spock dynamic is on full display this time around, and their chemistry feels more natural and familiar.  We also get to meet Dr. McCoy aka ‘Bones’, who likewise exhibits a relationship with Kirk that feels meaningful without any real exposition needed.  It’s easy to see why Roddenberry had him replace Dr. Piper from ‘where no man has gone before’.

I also appreciate how minimalistic the script is, keeping the threat largely unseen while most of the action plays out on the bridge.  Star Trek famously struggled to keep budget costs down, and I’m betting this was one such attempt; then again there’s plenty of model work for the enterprise, which apparently slowed down post production. Regardless, the end result is an episode that successfully builds intrigue around an unknown adversary.  The ending is a little convenient for my tastes, but such things are more often-than-not a limitation of network television.

3.5 stars (out of 5)

Additional Observations

At one point Baby Howard shows the Enterprise crew an ‘image of himself’ which looks like a stereotypical alien. Later we find out this was a decoy which B-Howard refers to as ‘The Mr. Hyde to my Jekyll’.  But Mr. Hyde was an autonomous split personally, not an animatronic puppet, which makes his analogy pretty weak.  The Wizard of Oz would have been a better comparison, but I guess Balok didn’t have time to read through earth’s entire literary database, so I’ll cut him some slack.

I found myself disinterested in the Lt. Baily subplot.  His character served a function, but he’s just so obviously a ‘character that we shouldn’t get attached to’.  Narratively his decision to leave the Enterprise is  not dissimilar from the ending of “Star Trek: The Motion picture” over a decade later (or even Close encounters” for that matter), but this earlier iteration never felt like it earned the emotional beat it was going for. 

Baby-Clint-Howard-but-with-a-grown-up-voice is unnerving.  I would genuinely prefer to explore the galaxy with V’ger.

Clearly someone on the writing team must have had a Rubik’s cube they were unable to solve, and this was their revenge.  I don’t care what anyone else says, that’s now behind-the-scenes canon as far as I’m concerned.

I’m happy to report that Spock’s got his blue shirt this time around, except now we have Uhuru wearing the command gold instead of her usual Red!  I guess everyone just wanted a chance to try it on? Maybe it’s an ongoing prank to see if Kirk will notice.

DC Cinematic Universe, Phase One Plan

Doing some research ahead of where I'm at with the villain blogs, here is my expected plan for Phase One of this theoretical cinematic universe:

THE FLASH - During a freak lightning storm, police scientist Barry Allen and his girlfriend's little brother Wally both end up developing super speed. As a result, a local gang breaks into a research lab and steals a number of high-tech weapons to be able to fight back.

Starring: Barry Allen/Flash, Wally West/Kid Flash, Iris West, Joe West, Ralph Dibny, Sue Dibny, Len Snart/Captain Cold, Digger Harkness/Captain Boomerang, Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Mark Mardon/Weather Wizard, James Jesse/Trickster, Hartley Rathaway/Pied Piper.

MARTIAN MANHUNTER - A Martian warrior finds himself stranded on Earth after being teleported there by an old scientist. Now hunted by intergalactic "peacekeepers" called the Manhunters, the Martian befriends a former marine named John Stewart, who helps him find his way home again.

Starring: J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter, John Stewart, Katma Tui, Scar, the Manhunters, Dr. Simon Erdel, likely some government people like Amanda Waller.

GREEN LANTERN - A team of Green Lanterns chase the war criminal Atrocitus to Earth after he perfects a red ring to fight back against them. When one Lantern is killed, his ring ends up in the hands of Hal Jordan, who must now be trained in its use to save his world and the entire galaxy. But the more he learns, the more he discovers about the Lantern leader's hand in Atrocitus's origin.

Starring: Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Thaal Sinestro, Arisia, Ch'p, Salaak, Kilowog, Atrocitus/Red Lantern, Dex-Starr, Abin Sur, Carol Ferris, Thomas Kalmaku, Hector Hammond, likely some other supporting Lanterns.

WONDER WOMAN - While pursuing the dangerous terrorist Baroness Paula von Gunther, military operative Steve Trevor and his team stumble upon a lost island in the Mediterranean. The island's princess, Diana, works with them to stop the Baroness from endangering the island and the entire world.

Starring: Diana/Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor, Etta Candy, Barbara Ann Minerva, Baroness Paula von Gunther, Doctor Poison, Queen Hippolyta, Donna Troy, Nubia, and many other Amazons.

AQUALAD - Jackson Hyde is the son of underwater treasure hunter David Hyde AKA the Black Manta, scouring the world for the lost Trident of the Dead King, a weapon used to sink Atlantis. When Jackson meets an Atlantean named Garth, he learns there is some truth to his father's tales and must work together with Garth to stop him from getting his hands on it.

Starring: Jackson Hyde/Aqualad, Garth/Tempest, David Hyde/Black Manta, Black Jack, Eel, Charybdis, Scylla, Scavenger, Cal Durham, Atlan/Dead King.

GREEN ARROW - Rogue vigilante Oliver Queen finds himself captured by the government and forced into Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad, including such members as Dinah Lance, Roy Harper, and Slade Wilson. They are sent after foreign noble Count Vertigo, who poses a threat to the United States. After the job is done, Oliver betrays Waller and puts his life on the line to get himself, Dinah, and Roy out of the squad.

Starring: Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Dinah Lance/Black Canary, Roy Harper/Speedy, Amanda Waller, Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, Count Vertigo, likely other members of the Suicide Squad.

JUSTICE LEAGUE - Earth finds itself attacked by a race of aliens called Kryptonians, endowed with powers beyond any human. Bruce Wayne (who has been acting as a Nick Fury figure throughout the previous movies) brings together Princess Diana, J'onn J'onzz, Barry Allen, and Hal Jordan to help fight against them. Arthur Curry also joins, having been caught up in the initial attack alongside Diana as they both fought the villainous Atlantean, Queen Clea. Oliver Queen receives an invitation as well, but turns it down before ultimately helping in the end. Other characters like John Stewart also pitch in, resulting in John receiving a Green Lantern ring in the end. As the battle rages, Bruce investigates a twenty+ year old report of a Kryptonian ship crash-landing in Kansas, leading him to Clark Kent.

Starring: Clark Kent/Superman, Bruce Wayne/Batman, Princess Diana/Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Barry Allen/Flash, Arthur Curry/Aquaman, J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter, General Zod, Faora-Ul, Ursa, Non, Jax-Ur, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, John Stewart, Lois Lane, Martha Kent, Jonathan Kent, various other supporting cast, and Queen Clea.

TEEN TITANS - After witnessing an alien girl taken captive, Bruce Wayne's former protegee Dick Grayson begins investigating HIVE, a special "academy" where superpowered teens are taken by the government and trained to work for them. Wally West, Jackson Hyde, and Roy Harper likewise start investigating for similar reasons. Among the students they rescue are the alien girl Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven.

Starring: Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Roy Harper/Speedy, Wally West/Kid Flash, Jackson Harper/Aqualad, Koriandr/Starfire, Victor Stone/Cyborg, Garfield Logan/Beast Boy, Rachel Roth/Raven, Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, Amanda Waller, HIVE staff.

The History and Inconvenient Truth of Kamala Harris

For your knowledge and interest about Kamala Harris. Here is a timely editorial that exposes the hidden background of Kamala Harris from the Combat Veterans for Congress Political Action Committee that is posted here with permission of the author. CVFC PAC supports the election of US military combat veterans to the US Senate and House of Representatives. The editorial begins:

Kamala Harris' father was an avowed Marxist professor in the Economics Department at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Both of Harris' parents were active in the Berkeley based Afro-American Association; Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were the heroes of the Afro-American Association.

The group's leader, Donald Warden (aka Khalid al-Mansour), mentored two young Afro-American Association members, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale; they created the Maoist inspired Black Panther Party which gained strong support from Communist China; the Black Panther Party served as the model for creation of the Black Lives Matter Marxist organization Khalid al-Mansour subsequently went on to arrange financing and facilitated for Barack Hussein Obama to be accepted as a student to matriculate at Harvard Law School.

Following her graduation from college, Harris returned to California and subsequently became the mistress of the 60-year-old married Speaker of the California Assembly, Willie Brown, Jr. Brown's political campaigns were supported and funded by Dr. Carlton Goodlett, the owner of The Sun Reporter and several other pro-Communist newspapers.

Brown was elected as Mayor of San Francisco, and strongly endorsed Harris' Marxist political philosophy; he guided Harris' political rise in California politics, leading to her election as California's Attorney General. Willie Brown, Jr. was a well-known long-time Communist sympathizer. Willie Brown, Jr. was initially elected to public office with the substantial help of the Communist Party USA.

Today, Willie Brown is widely regarded as one of the Chinese Communist Party's best friends in the San Francisco Bay Area.

While serving as San Francisco District Attorney, Kamala Harris mentored a young San Francisco Radical Maoist activist, Lateefah Simon, who was a member of the STORM Revolutionary Movement; Simon currently chairs the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Board. Simon has always been close friends with the founder of Black Lives Matter Marxist Domestic Terrorists, Alicia Garza, as well as STORM member and avowed Communist, Van Jones. Harris has been openly and aggressively supporting Black Lives Matter Marxists; Kamala Harris is still closely associated with Maoist Lateefah Simon and Marxist Alicia Garza.

Kamala Harris's sister Maya Harris was a student activist at Stanford University. She was a closely associated with Steve Phillips, one of the leading Marxist-Leninists on campus and a long-time affiliate with the League of Revolutionary Struggle, a pro-Chinese Communist group.

Phillips came out of the Left, and in college he studied Marx, Mao, and Lenin, and maintained close associations with fellow Communists. Phillips married into the multibillion-dollar Sandler family of the Golden West Savings and Loan fortune. He funded many leftist political campaigns, and voter registration drives in the Southern and South Western states in order to help his friend, Barack Hussein Obama, defeat Hillary Clinton. Phillips has been a major financial sponsor for Kamala Harris's political campaigns for various California elective offices plus Cory Booker, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams to name a few.

Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff works for the law firm DLA Piper, which "boasts nearly 30 years of experience in Communist China with over 140 lawyers dedicated to its 'Communist China investment Services' branch. He was just appointed Professor at Yale to school future lawyers in the fine points of Communism.

When she was elected to the US Senate, Kamala Harris appointed a Pro-Communist Senate Chief of Staff, Karine Jean-Pierre. Jean-Pierre was active with the New York-based Haiti Support Network. The organization worked closely with the pro-Communist China/Communist North Korea Workers World Party and supported Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the far-left Communist former president of Haiti and the radical Lavalas movement.

Fortunately for Harris, but potentially disastrous for the Republic, elected office holders are not subject to the security clearance process. If the FBI did a Background Investigation on Kamala Harris, she never would have passed, because of her 40-year close ties with Marxists, Communists, Maoists, and Communist China. Harris would never have been approved for acceptance to any of the 5 Military Service Academies, been appointed to a US Government Sub-Cabinet position, or would have been approved to fill a sensitive position for a high security defense contractor. Yet, since Joe Biden was elected, Harris could be a heartbeat away from being President.

The US constitutional Republic is being threatened by the People's Republic of Communist China (PPC) externally, and by their very active espionage operations within the United States. The People's Republic of Communist China (PPC), with 1.4 billion people, is governed by the 90 million member Chinese Communist Party (CCP), that has been working with Russia to destroy the US Constitutional Republic for over 70 years.

If the American voters read the background information (in Trevor Loudon's article) on Kamala Harris, they would never support her election as Vice President of the United States. Joe Biden is suffering from the early onset of dementia and will continue to decline in cerebral awareness; he will never be able to fill out a four-year term of office.

Since Biden was elected, the Socialists, Marxists, and Communist who control Kamala Harris, are planning to enact provisions of the 25th Amendment, in order to remove Joe Biden from office, so Harris can become the first Communist President of the United States.

Since Biden was elected, because Biden would not be up to it, Kamala Harris would lead the effort to appoint very dangerous anti-American Leftist, Communist, Socialists, and Marxists to fill highly sensitive positions in the Washington Deep State Bureaucracy. She would fill all appointive positions in the US Intelligence Agencies, in the Department of Homeland Security, in the Department of Defense, in The Justice Department, the Department of State, the FBI, the CIA, most cabinet positions, the National Security Council, and in the White House Staff.

American voters must alert their fellow Americans that Kamala Harris is a very serious National Security threat to the very survival of the US Constitutional Republic; she has been a fellow traveler of Marxists, Communists, Maoists, Socialists, Progressives, and Chinese Communists for over 35 years.

President Trump had much more background information on Kamala Harris than we presented here, and he was correct, when he accused Kamala Harris of being a Communist subverter.

Thoughts About the DCU’s Cities (and Other Nerdy Stuff)

You know, in addition to being a really terrible place to live, Gotham has some really weird demographics. And by that, I mean it seems to have no middle class. The city’s non-police officer, non-criminal population seems to be composed almost entirely out of millionaires living in mansions and poor people living in slums. Now, this is probably partially because it’s a lot easier to get drama from the very wealthy and the very poor than from the middle class, but it’s still a bit strange. It’s like the population of Gotham is 70% criminal (this group includes the corrupt wealthy businessmen and politicians, random thugs, and supervillains), 9% corrupt cops, 1% honest police officers, 10% innocent poor people, and 10% innocent rich people. Now, I haven’t read every Batman comic out there, and there are probably some counter-examples, but it’s still a strange overall trend. 

On the flip side, you’ve got Central and Keystone City, which have their own weird demographics. In the Flashes’ hometown(s), the lower and middle classes are well-represented, but unlike Gotham, which is chock-full of millionaires, Keystone/Central has a noticeable absence of the wealthy, with W.W. Wiggins and Mr. and Mrs. Rathaway serving as the major exceptions. (Wally did win the lottery at one point, but that didn’t last very long.)  Central City is more white-collar and financially stable than Keystone is, but the populations of both cities are both overwhelmingly presented as being average, everyday people.

 Gotham’s big villains are, by and large, very well-educated. While there are exceptions (like Catwoman, Killer Croc, and some of the Clayfaces), it’s still a noticeable trend. Mr. Freeze (aka Dr. Victor Fries) earned his doctorate in the field of cryogenics. Poison Ivy (aka Dr. Pamela Isley) earned her doctorate in botany. Two-Face (alias Harvey Dent), was the District Attorney of Gotham City before he became a villain. In order to become a district attorney, Harvey would have needed to earn a law degree, pass his bar exam, and obtain a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.). The Scarecrow (alias Dr. Jonathan Crane) earned a doctorate in psychology and actually taught as a professor of psychology before becoming a supervillain. Harley Quinn (alias Dr. Harleen Quinzel) likewise earned a doctorate in psychology. The Riddler (Edward Nygma), wouldn’t have needed a college degree in his older origins, where he was a carnival worker, but in recent years, he’s sometimes been presented as having worked in computer programming or with law enforcement, usually as some sort of forensics expert. He probably would’ve needed to earn at least a bachelor’s degree to get a job as a computer programmer; to be a forensic scientist he’d likewise need to get a bachelor’s degree (in, well, forensic science). Professor Hugo Strange has a degree in psychology (probably a doctorate).The third Clayface, Preston Payne, was a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs before becoming Clayface, which means that he almost certainly had a degree of some sort. The Penguin (alias Oswald Cobblepot) also has a college degree. It’s in ornithology, because of course it is. 

The Flash Rogues, by contrast? Not so much. We know Zoom (alias Hunter Zolomon) has a college degree, presumably in law enforcement and/or criminal profiling, since he worked in the FBI and later for the KCPD as a criminal profiler. Albert Desmond also went to college and got a degree (likey in physics and/or chemistry), since he works as a scientist after reforming. Professor Zoom the Reverse-Flash (alias Eobard Thawne) may have had the 25th-century equivalent of a college degree, since apparently he was a teacher at some point in his history. The Pied Piper (Hartley Rathaway) may have a college degree, but it’s not entirely clear. In the first telling of his origin, Hartley’s father claimed that he graduated from college and got a job at a prominent business firm, but in a later retelling, Hartley said that he attended and got kicked out of several colleges and never mentioned graduating from any of them. If he did graduate, it was probably with a degree in business or something, since I’m sure that’s the field his parents would’ve wanted him to go into. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Top (Roscoe Dillon) at least attended college at some point, since he seems to be from a more upper-class family than most of the other Rogues, but there’s no concrete evidence for it. 

The rest of the Rogues almost certainly never attended college; I’d be surprised if most of them even made it through high school. Golden Glider (Lisa Snart) probably made it through high school, since she became a prominent figure skater. Heat Wave (Mick Rory) and the second Trickster, Axel Walker, are both high school dropouts, as is Captain Boomerang, Jr. (Owen Mercer). The second Mirror Master, Evan McCulloch, is probably a dropout as well, since he ran away from the orphanage at 16. The first Trickster, James Jesse, was a carny kid, so he might never have formally gone to school at all. Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Sr., the first Mirror Master, Sam Scudder, and Weather Wizard are more unclear (especially the latter two). I’d say that there’s pretty good odds that both Captains dropped out of high school. Sam could go either way since we know nothing about his personal life before he became the Mirror Master. Weather Wizard is probably the most likely of the four to have graduated from high school, since he seems to be from a more well-off family than many of the others and likes to at least act well-read and well-educated. But I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that he was a dropout, either, especially since we know he was always in Clyde’s shadow and didn’t seem himself as particularly smart or special before he got the wand. So who knows.

Just some mother-daughter time between Annabeth and Zoe.

“I think it’s time for us to break up.”

Those words haunted Zoe. For 3 months she had the best girlfriend in the world. Until she decided to break up with her. Her explanation? Their relationship was just a teen romance, that went over after a couple of months. Zoe decided not to disagree or shout at her. There was no point. They had something nice, and it ended. It happens even to the best.

It was a quiet Friday afternoon. Percy and Annabeth were still at work, Charlie had football practice, and she wasn’t sure where Lana and Theo were. She was sitting on her bed, watching Netflix from her laptop. The bedroom door opened. Annabeth stepped inside with a pint of ice cream in hand. “I am sorry that you broke up. I thought ice cream could help.”

Zoe closed her laptop. “Aren’t you supposed to be at work right now?”

“I thought that it would be a nice idea to take the afternoon off.” Annabeth handed her the ice cream.

“I hope you didn’t do it for me.”

“No, of course not.” She definitely took the afternoon off for her daughter. But Zoe was like her, she would never ask for help. Especially over something romantic.

Zoe stared at her. “Thanks for the ice cream.”

“Anything you want.” Zoe smiled softly at her. Annabeth wasn’t sure if she wanted her to stay or go; she decided to leave her alone for a while and then come back and check on her.

She was about to step outside her daughter’s room when Zoe called her. “Is there any chance that you can stay here with me for a while?”

“Of course.” Annabeth sat next to her on the bed.

“I know it was just a stupid relationship, but I feel so bad.” She started crying. “I really liked Arizona.”

Annabeth kissed her on the temple. “You’re going to feel better soon. I know how it feels.”

Zoe wiped her tears. “How do you know?” She sniffled. “You and dad have been dating each other since you were 16. I wish I had a relationship like yours.” She rested her head on her mum’s shoulder.

“Do you want me to tell you a story?”

“Sure, why not.” Zoe laughed between her sobs. Apparently, her family had a story for every situation.

“It’s more like a family secret rather than a story, actually. That’s why I want this to stay between the two of us.”

“Girl talk. I get it. What happens in this room, stays in this room.” Zoe exclaimed thinking how much stuff her walls had heard over the years.

“Your dad and I have been together since we were 16. But when we were in college we decided, to get the whole college experience to break up.” Zoe stared confused at her. “We were still kind of together, but not dating.”

“And then you tell me that you aren’t a unique couple.” She confessed.

“Anyway, in that time we decided to experiment a bit with other people.” Annabeth didn’t know if it was a good parental move to have a conversation like this with her daughter. “I was going out with a girl.”

“So dad has bi wife energy?” Zoe asked a bit confused that her mother had never told her that she was bisexual.

“More like bi husband energy.”

“Dad is bisexual too? And you didn’t even tell me, your fellow bisexual daughter?”

“We thought that it was quite obvious.” She confessed. “Where was I?”

“You were going out with a girl. Who was it?”

“That’s something I am not going to tell you.” She was trying to be a cool mum but telling her daughter that she was in a loving relationship with her godmother aka Dr Piper McLean-Grace, wasn’t one of the things she was going to do in her lifetime. Percy was having the best time of his life when Zoe brought Arizona home for the first time. ‘I guess yours and Zoe’s type isn’t that different’. “Anyway, we were dating for a couple of months, but we both knew that it meant nothing to us. It meant almost nothing. Well, compared to our relationship with your dad it was nothing, but it still hurt a bit when we broke up.”

“But you had dad. I don’t have someone else. All my relationships end this way. You saw what happened last time.” She sighed.

Annabeth put her daughter’s hair away from her face. “Last time, it was just wrong people at the wrong time. Neither of you were to blame. You tried something and it didn’t work out. And you and Arizona. You are 16. Now it’s the time to have this kind of relationship.”

“She said that we can still be friends if I want,” Zoe confessed.

“See. You will heal, you will feel better, and find someone who makes you happy or maybe even happier.” Annabeth comforted her.

“Probably. Or I’ll buy a couple dogs and become the wine aunt to Charlie’s and Bianca’s kids.” Zoe laughed. She soon realised that it could come out the wrong way. “I mean separately Charlie’s kids and Bianca’s kids.”

“Either way, I just want you to be happy with yourself. You’re the best daughter I could have asked, and you deserve the world.”

“Thanks, mum.” Zoe hugged her.

“Do you want to watch a comedy? Or do you want to be on your own?”

“I could watch ‘The Grown Ups’ for the millionth time.”

Mother and daughter went downstairs and put the movie on Netflix. They were eating ice cream straight out of the massive pint Annabeth had brought home. “There are my girls,” Percy said as he walked inside and saw his wife and daughter sitting together on the couch. He kissed both of them on the cheek. “What is the occasion?”

“Nothing. Just some girl time.” Zoe smiled at her mum.

Bruce has to force himself to go, has to give Dick’s hand one final squeeze, before he can leave. (Alfred does the same, but on the other side.) (What a matched pair they make.)

They end up in an alcove near the nurses' station, with comfortable chairs, vending machine, and a small table. Bruce takes one look at the space and thinks that it probably doubles as both a break room for the nurses and a space for visiting families to recharge and catch their breath. (He makes a note to himself to check that the nurses have a private space to themselves on this floor, and then refocuses.) (Later. He can be a responsible businessman later . Now is a time for family.)

“I wanted to talk to you about what to expect for the next 48 to 72 hours for Mr. Grayson,” Dr. Adu begins.

ok so in the day of the doctor the doctor has a secret spooky oooh so scary extra regeneration, who is called the war doctor and played by john hurt. in dotd there is also the moment, basically a sentient bomb (fucked up i know). she's played by billie piper (who also plays rose).

also: there's a book of time lord myths & legends basically based off greek mythology. in this book there's a story set in the early(ish) days of gallifrey, focusing on rassilon and another time lord called roppen. rassilon convinces roppen to let him use a horrifying device called the galaxy eater against roppen's will. this is so that he can destroy an entire galaxy (yikes), and the story is based on pandora's box.

(sidenote: pandora actually turns up a few times in doctor who! obviously here, but there's also a whole arc about an evil rassilon-era time lord who tries to seize control of gallifrey and then there's the moffat-era pandorica storyline)

but where do these two stories converge? well! the moment is the galaxy eater. both the war doctor and rassilon are shown the future aka what will happen if they use this weapon. rassilon wants to use it to save gallifrey; the doctor wants to use it to destroy gallifrey. both of them see their future selves and the wrecks they become. however, the doctor is shown this vision by the moment, who looks likes a future companion of his. rassilon is shown this vision by pandoric, who takes on the form of... well... the war doctor. oopsie

anyway tl;dr the war doctor doesn't actually destroy gallifrey but rassilon does destroy the nestene-infested galaxy. and since this is based off pandora's box pandoric states that hope is the last thing remaining after rassilon has unleashed this great evil, and asks rassilon to hide the galaxy eater aka pandoric aka the moment so it will never be used again, and so that gallifrey may stand.

So there you go - I’ll be honest I still don’t really understand how high-schools in the USA work, and I have no idea what Design studio art even is so I kind of assigned those ones at random, but now it’s done and cannot be changed.

As always this universe is open to prompts so if you want a chapter focussing on any of these characters just drop me an ask or a comment and I’ll see what I can do. Making Dr Occult & Rose Psychic a single gender-fluid person is already on my list to do, since that’s who I thought they were for a longest time when I started reading comics and I’m still kind of annoyed that isn’t canonically what’s going on.

Rewatching The Ghost

I was really looking forward to move on to Season 4, after the heartwrenching heaviness of the last stretch of S3.

Granted, it’s not exactly fun and games here either.

If brooding was an energy source, Daisy and Robbie could power up the entire northern hemisphere just by existing. And Daisy is basically looking to committ suicide by proxy (😩) which is not my idea of a good time BUT!

Meanwhile, another team-up is in progress and this one will have far more overarching consequences, once a certain dark book enters the fray.

I am of course referring to the Scottish Society for the Emancipation of Digital Personal Assistants and Sexy Androids aka the second collaborative effort between Glasgow natives Dr. Holden Radcliffe, PhD, and Dr. Leopold Fitz, PhD (and their first joined project was the Framework 😬).

Radcliffe, who according to the stipulations of his pardon should not be doing any unsupervised experimentation, has spent the summer doing plenty of unsupervised experimentation. Crazy thinking, here, but maybe someone should have kept a closer eye on him instead of worrying about rogue vigilantes whose only true crime is the abuse of dark make-up. Just saying 😁.

The result of Radcliffe’s tinkering is a stunning humanoid body for his very own Siri. However, while the uncanny valley has been traversed, and then some, the Turing test is still quite a few builds away.

So he entices Fitz’s help, who clearly does know better since he is initially very reproachful. His disapproval, however, doesn’t last two conversations. There is cutting edge science to be made, Radcliffe is a friend and a budding father figure, the still mysterious new Director is not very trustworthy at the moment and A.I.D.A. is even more fascinating when she’s fully clothed, making grand declarations about saving lives.

And it is a tempting proposition: androids taking the bullet, as it were, for flesh and blood agents. If they had had that, friends may not have died. A friend may not have left.

You know the saying...the road to fascist mind prisons is paved with good intentions.

Stuff:

The suiting up scene is pretty cool if a little voyeuristic. This is when the show had been given a later timeslot and coincidentially we get an ass shot. Also, Daisy is studiously keeping her suit zipped just low enough. Rogue vigilantes are sexier, got it? Well. Ok, yeah, they kinda are. 🤣

Beating up white supremacists and shielding civilians from bullets. That’s my girl.

Ghost Rider and his Hell Charger must be some of the very best SFX this show has ever done. His musical theme is also pretty great and, speaking of actual coincidences given Gabriel Luna’s latest (?) role, has a bit of a Terminator feel to it (also Bear McCreary scored the Sarah Connor Chronicles so that’s probably why).

If the munchies was a superpower, they'd be signing the Sokovia Accords as we speak. It’s not? Disappointing.

Mack and Coulson seem very comfortable in their new(ish) field partnership, bonding over the technological feats of the Zephyr One and table games. They also look quite upbeat considering they’ve been chasing after the Earthshaking Wonder for at least six months with nothing to show for it.

Piper is the teacher’s assistant and the loud drill sergeant all rolled into one.

The new director hadn’t even been on screen yet and he had already managed to skyrocket near the top of my blacklist, in such lofty company as Robert Gonzales and Agent Calderon Asshole. Of course, he didn’t stay there *hugs Mace*

Not to be insensitive to the plight of racist scumbags, financial institutions and road infrastructures but, yeah, I’m totally insensitive to it. The Watchdogs are getting a beating? Awesome. They’re a terroristic hate group that’s been murdering innocent people and apparently nobody else is doing a thing about them which is gonna bite everyone in the ass later. Money is being taken from them and their rich donors and redirected to better uses, like funding Polly and Robin Hinton and generously tipping housekeepers? Outstanding. Robin Hood would be proud. A bridge collapsed? Well, that’s bad, I suppose, but unless Mace was spinning more P.R. in 4x10, that was the Watchdogs’ doing and Daisy just kept it from killing people. So, Daisy, attagirl! *insert youredoingamazingsweetie.gif*

The gang’s suspiciousness toward the new director comes close to match the level of Daisy’s current brooding. May doesn’t like him, Fitz doesn’t trust him, Simmons has actually been working to keep an eye on him and Coulson and Mack don’t look nor sound particularly enthused with him either. In retrospect, they were laying it a little thick. I should have guessed the new guy was going to be a decent fellow.

First look at the Framework, that other little science project Radcliffe and Fitz have been collaborating on, this one with full disclosure, intended as a training simulation for field agents and possibly romantic getaway for overworked British scientists. Another great idea that will backfire spectacularly. *glares at the Darkhold*

Poor Nathanson. Nobody that matters seems to like him.

Daisy leaves a fat stack of cash for the housekeepers of whatever place she was renting or squatting in (or maybe it was a motel). Stealing from the racist scumbags, giving to the working people. It’s Skye 2.0, #vanlife included, and I’m all for it. This would be my favorite Daisy ever if she wasn’t also trying to get herself killed. And apparently apply all the black eyeshadow available on the planet. Which is probably related to issue #1.

The Sokovia Accords seem to require treating Inhumans who work for the government as former inmates on parole. Elena (and anyone else) deserves better.

Just ask me to dinner again.-- You know the rules about fraternizing with assets in the field. The new director re-implemented fraternization rules? That’s gonna work out well for everyone, I’m sure.🤣

The Sokovia Accords also require a frakton of paperwork - the approval of a UN subcommittee, no less - for “enhanced individuals” to partecipate in field operations which must work brilliantly in a crisis. 🙄

With the - partial - exception of Coulson, Elena is pretty much the only one who seems to respect Daisy’s choices and won’t try to guilt trip her into coming back, expressing only concern for her well being and actively supporting her. Possibly because she hasn’t known her as long as the others and their friendship hasn’t crossed into found family bonds.

I think I may have stumbled upon a serial killer. -- Ooh. Fun. Yup! I wish Daisy would see it that way.

I don't get the new color-coded security-level rainbow of...what's it called? The “Spectrum of Security” It’s like Mace is making a deliberate effort to be as uncool as possible. 🤣 Also, ok, orange has both red and yellow, so it’s higher. That makes sense. What about blue? Blue is a primary color. Do they go by color temperature for those? Blue is colder than Red, so it’s lower? Or the primary colors are the heads of departments and they have equal clearance? So Red=Blue=Yellow but Orange is above Red and Yellow (what about Blue?) and Green is above Yellow and Blue (what about Red?). Or are they going with the additive model, so it’s Red, Blue and Green on equal footing? But orange doesn’t encompass neither blue or green, so how is Simmons above all the other departments heads?🤪 What.The.Hell?!

Yeah, those Chargers are hard to find. Between Fast and Furious and Dukes of Hazzard, they wrecked a lot of them. Apparently this line is factual. The AoS cars people had a hell of a time finding a working Charger, specifically for the reason given here.

The gangsters in the warehouse were affected almost immediately by Lucy. Unlike May, who’s keeping the paranoia at bay admirably for now, just like she was able to hold the Staff of Anger Mismanagement way back in S1 (twice!) without losing control. She’s not the Hate Fu master for nothing.

The ground team is checking for contagion, but hopefully, whatever messed with these guys' heads is no longer an issue. It’s like you guys say these things on purpose...
