How to Decide Which Tarot Card Meaning to Use
It is a one-step process. Just keep in mind the context.
Tumblr media
SEVEN OF SWORDS
“Can I trust this person?” “No. He is sneaky.”
“Will he like my cooking?” “Yes, he will even bring home leftovers.”
How come one is a no, and the other is a yes? Because the context of the first question is trust. And the imagery in the card is a thief. Thieves are not to be trusted. But the context of the second one is enjoyment. And the man in the card, with stolen goods in hand, is clearly enjoying what he is doing.
THE MAGICIAN
“Will I achieve my dreams?” “Yes, you will.”
“Will my opponent outshine me?” “Yes, she will.”
How come one is good for you and the other is bad? Because the context of the first question is you. You become The Magician. The context of the second question is your rival. She embodies The Magician's power.
SIX OF CUPS
“How will I feel in this relationship?” “Happy and carefree.”
“What will I hate about him?” “He is privileged and childish.”
Why is one sweet and the other not quite? Because the context of the first question is a feeling. And the imagery in the card has a light and joyful feel. But the context of the second one is negative. So search for what is amiss: spoiled and privileged children.

Tarot and Psychological Projection
When doing a Tarot reading about two individuals and the relationship between them, we may have a tendency to separate these individuals and attributing distinctive traits to them. On the surface, they may differ through their manner of expression, their status, or their appearance. But if these people end up meeting, it is because on an energetic level, they are alike. We attract to us what we are. We attract the situations and people we need to grow and evolve.
We may not embody the same traits on the same degrees because after all, we are our own person, and we are following our own path. But if we end up meeting and merging, it's because generally, we possess a quality that the other wants to acquire, or a flaw that the other has but refuses to see.
This is due to the psychological projection phenomena.
We attribute what Robert A. Johnson calls the Inner Gold to other people. The Gold is made all of the qualities that we possess deep down and that may allow us to elevate to our Higher Self. The problem is, most of us refuse to embody our Gold, because it would ask us to challenge ourselves and change. Because of that fear, we end up admiring individuals who own the traits that we wish we had, and we put them on a pedestal.
Inversely, the Shadow, a term that was first coined by Carl G. Jung, represents another unconscious attribute that we reject as it is composed of the traits that people close to us or society deem negative. It is a set of behaviors that we find particularly repulsive in others, which make us deeply uncomfortable because we also possess them. Criticizing someone else's attitude is easier than recognizing that we are not perfect and that there is inner work to be done.
Basically, not integrating our Gold or Shadow means staying in our comfort zone. Which will eventually make us dissatisfied with ourselves.
The good news is, the Tarot can help us discover what and how we can transform through our relationships. Let's see how.
Let's say you meet someone and want to know what energy each of you are bringing to the table. You draw the Magician for yourself, and the King of Wands for that person.
This would mean that as the Magician, you are a person that has really big dreams, and the will necessary to make them come true. Your curiosity and open-mindedness have allowed you to gather a great number of disparate ressources. These ressources can be mental, material, emotional, or spiritual. They might appear absurd or obsolete to others, but as the Magician, you have been gifted with a creative and innovative spirit. You have a strong capacity for utilizing your ressources, and translating vast and complex pieces of knowledge in a language understandable by anyone.
The other person is represented as the Knight of Wands. This arcana can represent an authority figure in real life. They are a strong, proud and determined leader towards whom we turn to reach a definite goal. Deeply interested in accomplishment and status, they want to be admired for what they have managed to achieve.
The Magician believes in his capacities and in a Higher Power. He is not afraid of taking risks, because he trusts everything will work out somehow. He knows he was given all of these gifts for a reason. However, his boundless curiosity and adaptability can pull him in too many directions, so much so that he forgets what his vision actually was. His spiritual nature can also make him passive and push him to go with the flow. The King of Wands, the embodiment of willpower, can (consciously or unconsciously) teach him to be more focused and decisive, which would help the Magician bring his projects to completion and remind him to go after what he wants.
Inversely, the King has a thing or two to learn from the Magician. As the ultimate power and authority figure, the King makes sure that he has control to provide security both to himself and the people he protects. His desire for stability encourages him to follow a conformist path that can be repetitive and void of meaning, consequently betraying his inherent creativity and desire for growth. The Magician will show him that authenticity and success can coexist. The King will learn how to let go of his need for control and believe in something that is greater than him.
So that was one way of getting to know your unconscious traits and someone else's. I don't think you need to be a Tarot expert to read into the Arcana. Knowing the symbolism can help, but the most important thing lies in having the ability to see yourself and others in the cards. You must ask yourself : "How am I/are they like this figure?" "What is their purpose and how is it like mine?" "Why did I manifest this person into my life and why did they manifest me?"

Been studying the symbols in the Rider-Waite Smith deck. I find it fascinating how many hidden meanings Pamela snuck into the imagery! I highly recommend doing a deep dive into the symbolism if you’re a beginner tarot reader, as it’s more impactful for visual learners and helps the concepts and themes of the tarot hit home.

All About Tarot: The Major Arcana
Tumblr media
The Magician
Tumblr media
The Magician, also sometimes referred to as "The Mage, The Juggler, The Mounteback, Sleight of Hand Artist, Il Bagatto or Il Bagatello, Artixano (Artisan)" (source)
this card is often the second to pull in a new-unshuffled deck of tarot cards, granting it the number 1 in the major arcana.
Tumblr media
Upright this card is associated with originality, self-confidence, skill, a breathtaking, resourcefulness, potential, tapping into ones talents, pure willpower and more.
Reversed this card is often associated with insecurity, delay, lack of imagination, closed doors, manipulation, unfocused and unmanifested talents and skills, madness and mental distress among other things.
in general this card talks about personal skills, your talents, things that youre good at and whether or not youre using them, letting yourself or holding yourself back.
this card is meant to be "a helping hand", and tells you you can turn your dreams into reality so long as you put effort into it. this card can point out your skills and offer encouragement but it is ultimately up to you to see it through.
Tumblr media
common depictions of this card tend to be a magic practitioner such as a wizard, witch or otherwise a mage of some sort. its very common to see the person depicted in the card to have one hand pointed towards the sky and the other pointed to the earth/ground (this brings about the interpretation of the phrase "as above so below", a phrase often said in a chant to make something happen as you will it).
often times this card will have an item from each suit in its art, a coin, a cup, a want and a sword (more about suits here). common colours depend on the artist of the deck but yellows/golds greens and reds are frequently seen in card art for the magician, blue being another but a little less common.
Tumblr media
if you have questions or more to add please let me know!

Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time, I’ve been working on making a booklet!
Originally, I was going to write a whole book on tarot. I realized it wasn’t going to be as easy to learn about as I was hoping for if I made it a long book, so I am making a much shorter booklet instead!
It is 8 pages if you include the front and back covers.
Since it is a handmade booklet, I will need to charge for my time and efforts while making them. I’m not sure what would be a fair price for it. What would you pay for an 8 page paper booklet about tarot?
I will be giving updates as I continue my hard work!
My discord server is currently being revamped, if you are interested in tarot, hanging out, crystals, meeting new folks, you should consider joining!

Hiii <3
my initials are HB his are VY
can you tell me anything I may need to know in regarding our connection?
Hello HB, this is what message the universe is sharing with me regarding your paring.
Deck used: Eight Coins Tattoo Tarot by Lana Zellner
Tumblr media
Four of Swords: represents rest; restoration and contemplation. This may be a sign that VY came into your life following heartbreak or struggle (or vice versa). One or both of you may be in a period of recovery following this struggle. You may be feeling caught by this pain, unable to move forward this may be seen as a sign to take a pause here and look within in order to rejoin life. This current connection might be too much too soon at this time in your life.
Tumblr media
Queen of Cups (reversed): represents a coldness; insecurity or dependence. Where compassion once flowed the river has since run dry, exuding coldness in place of love. This could be an indication of someone's mood having turned, they are no longer behaving as they had been. You could also be feeling as if you have become too reliant on this figure of kindness; having lost your independence. Regardless a sense of emotional stability is hanging over your pairing.
Tumblr media
Page of Pentacles
This card represents new opportunities dreams or desires. It’s an indication that you’re on the brink of a new venture or opportunity. This is a sign to embrace your enthusiasm and energy as this will help breathe life into this new opportunity. These signs coupled together may be an interpreted that romance may not be the best option at this time or may not be attainable and there are other avenues to pursue. You may be a current circumstance that is changing your life trajectory, what do you gain by following that path even if it leads you away from VY. take this time for further self evaluation.
Hope this reading provides you some insight, please take what resonates and leave the rest. Please leave feedback or come back with an update I always love to hear from those who I have read.

THE WEIRD AL-CANA - THE MAJOR ARCANA, INSPIRED BY WEIRD AL YANKOVIC SONGS
---
ho-ly shit, this actually got finished. this was so much work for something that is so incredibly niche, but im so happy with it. this was SO MUCH FUN to come up with, to think of songs for each card, to slip in silly references and make my little border designs... thank you so much everyone else who has been enjoying these posts!
tumblr wouldnt let me upload the full-size stitched canvas so I had to shrink it a little, so if you want to see all the individual cards at their full size PLEASE look at the individual posts on my blog HERE! this was the first time I ever got the tumblr warning that a photo was just too big, haha.
this post also goes out to everyone on the weird al side of tumblr- yankoblr, y'all have brought me so much joy in such a small amount of time with your posts and memes, even though i just got here and started randomly posting one day. i went from being very self-conscious about what i considered an 'embarrassing' interest to wholeheartedly goofing and it feels great. keep being silly no matter what guys
stay weird, y'all :)

How to Tell Someone’s Physical Appearance with Tarot Cards
It is the simplest thing. You only have to look at your cards and describe what you see.
Tumblr media
The Empress
Male or female, this person has soft, long, flowy hair. It could be naturally wavy, or straight but styled with waves. Color is medium to light. Anything from dark blonde to medium brown or light auburn. Facial structure is soft. Heart-shaped to triangular, but the jawline is more gentle than angular. Tall and fit, but not to the point of having an athletic build. Looks like a Libra.
Ten of Wands
This person stands at below the average height. Around 5'7" for men and 5'1" for women. He or she is on the bulky side, but muscular instead of fat. Hair is light to dark blonde. Best features are the arms, but the legs are a close second. This person has a practical fashion sense. The fabrics they wear will be high-quality, but the clothes themselves will not be too showy. Like a Taurus.
Ace of Swords
With the crown and the leaves adorning the sword, this person likes to wear accessories. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets. Like the sword, he or she has good posture, always standing or sitting straight. One can tell from the hand that this person is strong and muscular. The length of the sword speaks of average height. For a man, around 5'8" to 5'10". For a woman, around 5'3 to 5'5".
Try it with your own deck. 🌹

PAC - Qualities and Traits in your Future Spouse
~ 5 things you like about them vs 5 things they like about you (lightly +18)
PILE 1 - PILE 2 - PILE 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PILE A - PILE B - PILE C

DISCLAIMER. These general free readings are made in good faith for entertainment purposes. I tried my best to leave it gender neutral, but one word or another might have escaped (Portuguese is a language where all words have gender).
How to pick a pile
When you have different cards to choose from in pile 1,2,3… look at each of those cards. Wait until someone reminds you of a memory. Perhaps a character’s outfit resembles one of your own. It is this pile that has its message. What if they all remind me of something? Go for the one with the strongest memory, one might look like her earring but another might be the favorite candy you got from your grandma when you vacationed at her house. But what if none reminds me of something? Take a deep breath and wait a little longer, without charging yourself or creating worries. Relax, some will awaken some memory in you, I promise! .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1
You love their voice and the way they talk, and it's not something that only you appreciate. But even so, you see your future spouse's voice as a melody, comforting and even exciting. I also don't just see the question of the voice itself, but the way they speak, with rhythm, without any problems pronouncing the words or doubt in their voice.
You appreciate their skills and how they handle situations smoothly. I also see different paths here, how this person manages to take care of themselves alone, clean the house, cook the food. They are truly independent. (The other way is that you appreciate their dick, it makes you feel like never before).
You like how they communicate in general. They are smart and authentic but know how to blend in with the crowd. They know how to listen to others to better adapt to the situation. They are the type of person who will communicate differently with each individual, not out of falsehood but because they understand that each person has different needs. They will convey the same information differently to a doctor and to a child, adapting their words accordingly.
You love their overall intelligence; it seems like they always know what they should do, the next step. They are someone who wants to help others with their intelligence and is always seeking self-improvement. They are also curious and always bring new information into the relationship.
You appreciate how they manage to be rational in practically every situation. They always think before acting, analyze situations before they happen. They strive to be prepared for everything and seek security in every step of life.
Astrological Placements your Future Spouse may have:
Mercury Dominant; Venus in Taurus or Libra in the 2nd house; Mercury in the 3rd house; air dominant; Mercury in Libra, Gemini, or Aquarius; a touch of Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio in the birth chart (perhaps only one placement).
Pile 2
You like how your future spouse (FS) is an active person, always on the move, looking to improve their career, personal life, and also taking care of their body. They can be a tall, slender individual with distinct features. They are also someone with a sense of style and who values their behavior in the world, which is why they prioritize exercise and physical activity. They are the type of person who likes to wear accessories such as gloves, bracelets, and earrings.
You appreciate that they are a person you can look up to, someone you feel proud of and see as a reference for "what would FS do in my place." You like how they are patient with others, a bit playful, but also know when to stop. It seems like they have the wisdom to bring joy to tense moments and their ability to handle all situations is what attracts you.
You admire their resilience and determination. Nothing can stop them, not even the challenges of life. They carry themselves with pride and are unafraid to express their opinions and how the world perceives them, because they know they will make things work out one way or another.
You appreciate how they can handle everything on their own, sometimes behind the scenes. If we take an intimate perspective, you both know how to handle things discreetly. But even though they are confident and unafraid to be themselves, your FS is wise and understands that you can't always confront everything head-on. Sometimes you have to navigate through the edges and take longer paths to achieve your goals. They prefer to accomplish things discreetly.
You like that your FS is often right (though it can be challenging during discussions), which is beneficial for decision-making in your lives. Even if they are not a spiritually inclined person, they have a connection with something non-physical in this world that guides their decision-making. So, even if a decision may not feel right in the moment, you realize in the future that their choices were the best ones.
Astrological Placements your Future Spouse may have:
Aquarius/Gemini/Libra placements; Fire Dominant; Mars dominant; Well-aspected Mercury; Leo dominant; Scorpio Placements; dominant Uranus.
Pile 3
You appreciate how they move on as if nothing had happened. If you make a mistake, they solve it and forget about it, without judgment or dwelling on the past. Your future spouse (FS) is also someone who enjoys horror and suspense movies, which is a recurring hobby for them.
You like that you feel comfortable around them, experiencing a sense of nostalgia for a moment that never actually existed. It's as if you've been separated before and now you're together again. This connection can be both physical and spiritual. Your FS brings magical and special moments into both of your lives.
You admire that they are a person who never loses hope. They always believe in love, even until the last moment. Even if everything comes to an end, they will continue to love and protect. They are patient and will wait for you to be ready to make decisions. They hold onto the hope that everything will work out in the end.
You appreciate that they are a fun and warm person. They shine in small social circles and are always loving and attentive. Your FS values small events and moments greatly. They enjoy going out to carnivals or other places where you can have fun. They are full of ideas for new places to explore and experience.
You like how they create a cozy atmosphere and make you feel safe. If you're someone who enjoys sleeping a lot or simply sees it as a hobby, you will feel comfortable sleeping next to your FS. Being close to them brings a sense of peace and security.
Astrological Placements your Future Spouse may have:
Cancer/Capricorn or Taurus Rising; Libra/Gemini placements; a touch of Leo and Pisces in the birth chart (perhaps only one placement).
Tumblr media
Pile A
Your future spouse (FS) appreciates how open you are and your willingness to embrace change even in the face of fear. You have an openness not just to the world but also to your own needs. There's a sense of knowing that what you deserve is more and better than what you currently have.
Your FS admires your protective nature and how you always look out for yourself and others. You often place yourself on the front lines when confronting various challenges, often keeping your experiences to yourself in order to prevent hurting others.
Your FS values the fact that you are someone who seeks to resolve problems through communication. You strive to approach others and engage in conversation before acting without careful thought. Your natural inclination towards rationality allows you to navigate and resolve situations without unnecessary drama.
Your FS appreciates your ability to keep secrets. They trust that anything they confide in you will remain confidential, making you an extremely reliable person.
Your FS admires your ability to always find a way. You navigate paths with confidence, even if it means breaking down barriers to progress. Additionally, you have a keen sense of direction and excel at using maps and location.
Astrological Placements you may have:
Cancer/Pisces/Scorpio placements; Dominant Libra; Taurus/Capricorn/Virgo placements; More planets in the 4th/7th/8th and 12th house.

“Mystical Manga Tarot” Deck Review (from yours truly)
So I just purchased the Mystical Manga Tarot Deck From my local Barnes & Noble store. First off, here are some pics of the art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The pictures speak for themselves. The art is stunning, and for the first time in my entire tarot journey I can honestly say I love the art on every single card! Not to mention, the vibes are immaculate and very positive, and on my first “getting to know you” pull for the deck, I got my zodiac sign’s card (death)! That card has always been a lucky card for me. And the art really gave me good energy! My first tarot deck (for the sake of comparison) was the standard Rider Waite Smith tarot deck. So I’m used to the imagery, but this just seemed like a much more inspiring and beautiful take on the classic symbolism with a manga flare! My old deck has served me well and I’ll continue to use it for certain situations, but personally I connect more with the Mystical Manga Tarot deck. I couldn’t stop smiling, and the cards fit perfectly in my small hands which makes shuffling a LOT easier! The guidebook is thick and fully illustrated, and my favorite card has to be The Star. Anyway, 5/5 stars and a definite great deck for beginners and experts alike!!

All About Tarot: The Major Arcana
Tumblr media
The Fool
Tumblr media
The Fool, sometimes called "The Jester", "The Pilgrim", "Le Mat (The Madman)", or "l Matto (The Beggar)", is a part of the Major Arcana.
This is normally the first card you pull when you first get the deck unshuffled, usually this is card 0.
Tumblr media
Upright this card has associations with beginnings, possabilities, impulsiveness, innocence, a free spirit, diving head first into new things like starting a new journey, eagerness, opportunity, potential, folly, mania, extravagance, intoxication, delirium, frenzy, bewrayment and more.
Reversed this card can be associated with apathy, hesitation, a faulty choice, doldrums, recklessness, negligence, absence, distribution, carelessness, nullity, vanity, not being ready for new things, a warning to be cautious especially to be waring of being taken advantage of and more.
In general getting readings with this card often means you may or may not be ready to jump into something new or should be ready for a change to happen. Though of course thats still entirely up to interpretation.
Tumblr media
common depictions on this card tend to include a young person, a beggar or vagabond, yellows, blues and reds, often the person looking in a direction they seem to be heading or thinking about going.
Thes very common for art of the fool card to show a young man or person holding a bag on an end of a stick walking down a path and/or a person in a jester's hat or full court jester-like outfit.
the art very much represents the "jumping head first into a new journey" aspect of the interpretations as well as the definitions or common interpretations of a fool.
