The Really Interesting category, made their relationship everyone’s problem:

- Zeus and Hera (duh)

- Helen and Menelaus (happy ending)

- Helen and Paris (oof! ending)

- Odysseus and Penelope (has a whole word dedicated to their like-minded thinking)

- Rhea and Cronus (tragedy and cannibalism)

- Jason and Medea (tragedy and filicide)

- Clytemnestra and Agamemnon (tragedy and filicide and mariticide and matricide and misogyny and and OH gods-)

- Peleus and Thetis (the arranged mortal marriage blues, but in my head Thetis immortalized Peleus somehow by force and keeps him in her attic) (Because gods be damned if she will be the only one doomed to grieve Achilles)

- Orpheus and Eurydice (mf really went to hell for her and still didn’t get her back :<)

- Hector and Andromache (relatively the most normal ones in this category but still very tragic. Like don’t even ask.)

- Hecuba and Priam (them too)

The Really Cute couple category, bonus if it took them long to get there:

- Hephaestus and Aglaia

- Eros and Psyche

- Dionysus and Ariadne

- Perseus and Andromeda (they kinda remind me of Prince Philip and Aurora which is cute)

- Hebe and Heracles (listennn. they’re cute and important to the Heracles-Hera feud ending)

- Hippomenes and Atalanta (RIP Meleager)

- Philemon and Baucis (one of my fave Zeus myths)

- Alcestis and Admetus (Orpheus and Eurydice but with a happy ending thanks to the interference of Apollo)

- Iphis and Ianthe (trans man rep is good someone PLEASE write about them)

- Tethys and Oceanus (placing them here idc they are cute in my head!! The only titan couple who survived rip to Coeus/Phoebe and all the failed marriages thanks to the Titanomachy)

The Uhhh… Okay Category

- Hades and Persephone (placing them here because while I do think their relationship is interesting AND I find good various retellings of them (excluding LO) like Hades Supergiant, Hadestown, etc I long for more neutral/nuanced takes on the kidnapping, not just by their romance (or lack of romance) but Demeter’s role in the story to be more respected. (It also can’t be helped that HxP has the most over saturated greek mythology content everywhere that people get tired of seeing them, especially portrayed as the “only good greek myth couple” like okay get outta here)

- Gaia and Uranus (I like them, their relationship is clearly important for Cronus’ succession story, but their conflict to me seems so.. short lived? Like you have your son castrate your husband for imprisoning your less appealing babies but now the strife is gone and you work together to tell your son he is destined to be overthrown by his son and telling your grandson to cannibalize his wife as good advice??? Like good for them ig but Rhea and Cronus just do it better imo)

- Hypnos and Pasithea (getting ur wife from a deal with her mom that makes you commit treason by inducing your king with sleep… nothing sketchy about this at allll) (but maybe they’re cute and functional besides that who knows)

- Ceyx and Alcyone (in one version they didn’t do it, in the other they’re just… very dumb to call themselves Zeus and Hera.)

- Procris and Cephalus (eos RUINS lives)

- Hephaestus and Aphrodite (lets be glad it ended bc while they are interesting and Hephaestus did make their marital strife public, I just think they had a better relationship after the divorce)

The Kinda Boring category (to me, subjectively, put down the pitchforks)

- Poseidon and Amphitrite (do they have one myth together that isn’t the Delphin seduction myth… Amphitrite is nice to Poseidon’s worst son. That’s. That’s kinda it. I wish we had more, like how they are with their children or literally anything else to depict a dynamic between them. Especially since they ARE supposed to be the king and queen of the sea. But nope. At least with Oceanus and Tethys they’re both obscure in their personalities so headcanoning stuff is fun to me. Poseidon having a well established personality and Amphitrite… oh dear Amphitrite…)

- Cadmus and Harmonia (they’re a couple in order become ascendants of more tragic humans like Actaeon, Semele and that’s it. They become Snakes in the end to repent for Cadmus’ mistake. Nothing really about their relationship with each other)

- Deucalion and Pyrrha (The Greek rendition of Christianity’s Noah’s Ark and yeah. Thats it)

these are not the 10 I think are Objectively the Best in the World, just 10 of the ones I like most, For Reasons , and in no particular order:

1-Les Miserables, just getting this one done and cleared away bc everyone knows it's gonna be here anyway XD I am very aware of the problems it has (especially with Cammack happening to it over the years) but I also think it's genuinely one of the best musicals ever made. The musical paralleling? incredible, honestly never have heard it equaled.

2- Paint Your Wagon, Movie Version Only: I cannot even START to talk about this masterpiece or we'll be here all day. Every character in it is a terrible person. It's got an absolutely canon throuple. Both Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin sing. They are both bad at it. A deconstructed Western without making a big deal out of it, with Manifest Destiny being a not-even-thinly-veiled name for some of the worst excesses of colonization. This show is so much smarter than people want it to be. I have to shut up or this section will become an essay but anyway Watch Paint Your Wagon. 3-Newsies, stage version only: nothing but nonstop pro-union slam hits! And the choreo , holy crap! don't love the mandatory romance (romance has never felt mandatorier) but I do love Katherine herself and also everything else about this show, I have it on loop in my playlists and in my heart <3

4-Pirates of Penzance: gotta have a G&S musical here and this is my fave fave of theirs :D 5- Little Shop of Horrors, movie OR play, pure fun faustian plant bargain :D 6- Hello Dolly :dgkhsdlgh many of these are. Not cheery. But this one is! Sometimes I just like a bit of marshmallow fluff! and all the songs in this one are so fun and I love the various Levels of romances in it. 7- How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying -on the one hand this is such a simple and even cliché little comedy and on the other holy shit it's so cynical , I love it

8-Titanic-*gross sobbing noises* 9- One Bite- gad I feel so hipster going with "limited run local apocalypse comedy musical about zombies taking over the world as part of an alien plan to reclaim earth for the dinosaurs" but it's TRUE, I play this soundtrack for myself so much, and it was so fun to watch! 10- Ernest Shackleton Loves Me -who amongst us has not sought inspiration from the reconstructed version of historical figures they carry in their heart. WHO. ON THIS SIDE OF TUMBLR. Tell me it's you and I'll call you a liar. I have a zillion things to say about it and like ten people have watched it lmao , but it got me through the Worst Week and I love it forever.

Honorable mention to Repo Man , as a representative of all the shows I enjoy only small bits of. Good? Arguably No! But it DOES feature Zydrate, which as we all know, comes in a little glass vial.

It's really funny to me that you're saying Tim should get so entrenched in vigilante lifestyle that he can't keep a normal life bc I recently saw (the post wasn't that recent but I saw it a little while ago) someone complain that when they killed Tim's family they took away what truly made him unique, which was that he had a life completely separate from Robin. Not to drag yours or anything I just found it funny :)

But bold of that anon to complain about dick getting the spotlight given that his fans were outraged a couple years ago about the ric grayson run lol. I personally think that your fave getting badly written is better than not getting written at all, but man, the cost. Plus dick's robin run was over twice as long as the *second longest* robin run (tim) so it's not really a surprise dick has so many fans

Oh yeah, I don't think I've seen that post but I do generally agree - not so much that it was Tim's family life specifically, but that he did have a life outside of Robin. Tim was intended as a relatable audience avatar first and foremost, and he got a scaled down teenage version of Batman's cool secret identity shenanigans (high school, home life, romance, friendships with heroes and civilians, the works). That was his main draw, and when he was a teenage superhero that really worked.

It's just that, as everyone keeps complaining, Tim Drake can't stay a teenager forever.

Tbh, I think more than the loss of his life-outside-Robin, it was the New 52 that really fucked Tim over. It's true that after Tim moved into Wayne Manor, he had at that point lost most of that. It wasn't destined to stay that way though, because Bruce died, we hit Batman Reborn, and with it Gotham's status quo got totally upended.

With the loss of almost everything that Tim had as a staple part of his identity, Red Robin (2009) was working towards rebuilding Tim not just as a superhero, but as the type of character he was going to be from then on. I think that Red Robin's end goal was to give Tim a transitory identity/book while he figured out who he was outside of Robin and then let him move on into that new identity.

And I think that would've been fine? Even if Dick did move into the Batman role and Tim would eventually become more… mm, Nightwing-adjacent, we would've had the storylines that explained how he got there and set up his new status quo. I think there was plenty to work with that would've kept Tim interesting. I don't know what he would've looked like, but it certainly wouldn't have been Aggressively Just Kinda There Guy.

Like, Tim was still an engaging character in Young Justice and Teen Titans. There were other roles he could play and character dynamics he could have outside of his Life Outside Of Robin.

It's just that when Batman Reborn got shafted and the New 52 came in, Tim had absolutely nowhere to go. He wasn't the main Robin anymore, he didn't have his family, he was meeting edgy reboots of his friends for the first time, his secret identity plotlines amounted to 'Teen Titans' Batman But Smug', he lost his romantic relationship with Stephanie… man, he didn't even really get to keep his brotherhood with Dick, or his rivalries with Jason and Damian, what did he HAVE? While you could to some level intuit what parts of Dick, Jason and Damian's histories remained, Tim was wiped totally clean and just handed to us like. Yep. Here's Some Guy. Please care about him.

By the time Rebirth rolled around, all forward momentum for Tim totally popped. Without Red Robin's status quo or plotline, it was difficult to redefine Tim's identity as a superhero that actually meant meaningful for his story or the character he was meant to be. DC was aware he needed to change, but had no ideas on where to take him or how. Tim's just Drake, suddenly. And then when the whining about Damian got too loud DC rolled their eyes and went "SEE! WE HAVE NO REASON FOR HIM NOT TO BE ROBIN ANYMORE, JUST TAKE HIM" and here we are. (This is kind of an issue he shares with Kon, Cassie and Bart (etc.) actually. Talk about a lost generation.)

So like, all that to say I don't think losing the family life killed Tim's character, I think he was definitely in a position to recover from it once upon a time, but right now? When they have no ideas for him? No way. And you can tell because there was an attempt to restore Tim's secret identity recently and it just like... didn't work? It wasn't as appealing. Magic's gone, we need something new now.

When I say Tim Drake should get so entrenched in the vigilante lifestyle he can't maintain a normal secret identity… hmm. It's about how his civilian lifestyle was a necessary inconvenience for him in Red Robin, how he has nothing tethering him to his old life because everyone he cares about is a cape, his obsessive tendencies. I think there's a tragic irony in Tim Drake truly being the one that did not have to be here, might NEVER have ended up here, being utterly damned to never be able to leave the role he forced himself into because he lost everything else. I think that this is a plotline I would want to see in either a shorter Elseworld title or exclusively in flash-forwards. You know the type.

I also think about his hilarious tendency of ending up as a supervillain. Dude is so fucking not normal.

Also yeah, Dick is still THE Robin for most normies, and the safest non-Batman Batfamily member to focus on in spin-off media.

I get it. female characters are well known to not be written as good as male characters in most things. my fave characters are predominantly male and never been questioned, bc generally all my fave male characters have a fanbase. some of my fave female characters have been questioned, however. like "why anzu tho?", "kagura is awful", "cordelia is too much of a bitch", etc

and I am someone that longs to come out of animes with a female character as my FAVE-fave, and not just my fave female character, which is usually what happens.

to take anzu, I like Joey and Kaiba better.

to take kagura, I like sesshomaru better.

to take olivier, I like greed better.

to take komugi, I like meruem, hisoka and killua better.

to take celty, I like shizuo better.

etc etc.

but I love those girls. they're just never number one and it sucks.

sure, if a cast is predominantly male and you have no fave female character, sure. I expect that if you're watching a sports anime like Haikyuu, your top 10 is most likely all male. that makes sense.

but when I said most animes fall short on writing fantastic female characters, attack on titan is not one of them. its along the lines of fullmetal alchemist. your top 10 is highly likely to feature at least 2 female characters. if not, I'm wondering wtf is wrong with them to not be in there in your eyes and wtf is wrong with you.

ALL OF IT.... dc is really looking bad these days i would just rub my terrible hands over everything in it. i would not keep a lot of these current writers around. writers who are passionate abt the topics. no more fanfic readers + cartoon-only watchers writing comics. id put manbat back on JLD. restore fourth world canon. retire the jsa forever. make jesse quick an asshole (affectionate) again. retcon oberons post-kirby backstory. lock the titans back into their endless hellscape of emotional manipulation and co-depency. and finally. damn idk i need to eat something cant think. but id change probably everything

i was sooooo upset when Leo's VA changed. now when i rewatch i can handle it but when i hear 2k12 Leo's voice it's 100% the og VA. space season was...something. most of it is not my fave but there's tiny lil nuggets here and there that are either actually good or i've just gaslit myself into enjoying lmao, like leo spending all that time in the holodeck talking to splinter 🥺🥺🥺 the cheese phone is iconic. 2k12 def has some grade A hurt/comfort. plus mikey has his short lil mask ends and freckles for the first time, absolutely love hehe

(which having read comics now, donna and wally not being in teen titans is a tragedy, god i love donna.) i like revisited them in sept. after a tmnt rewatch and re-fell in love with dick grayson lmao, decided to try out the comics and learned that there were more robins than just dick and have not been able to stop thinking about them since. i don't know how i didn't know. jason and tim are literally in yj s2. i had seen so many "batman adopts children like crazy" memes. how was i unaware? we'll never know. how about you, did you get in through comics or show/movies? Same for me! I can accept his new voice actors, but in fics, I usually hear his og VA unless they specify his hurt leg/changed voice. LOL no yeah the space season had it’s moments, plus it gave us Chompy! Oof Leo being so attached to his dad and losing him like that… only for him to lose Splinter again and for real later on 😭. The freckles and short mask were so cute for Mikey! It made it 10x more effective when Mikey would use his big puppy dog eyes against Leo, and Leo would fold 😂.

Yeah!! 2007 is actually supposed to be a sequel of sorts to the live action 1990s tmnt movies! And then there was supposed to be a sequel to 2007 with Mikey joining the Foot to save his family or something. We could’ve had it all 😭.

Love that The Last Ronin is the only one you’ve read 😆. I enjoyed that comic until maybe the last 2 issues or so, they felt a bit weaker than the other issues. I know they’re doing a Last Ronin video game, would love it if they did some animated movie about it or something.

Ohh Teen Titans/YJ gotcha (and right?? how dare they leave out Donna 😭). That was basically my intro to it all as well I believe. The multiple Robin reveal is always so fun 😆. Aalskdja idk how you were unaware once watching YJ S2, but I won’t fault you for it bc there was just a lot of shit going on in that season 😆. And yeah Dick is definitely my fav, probably grew attached to him from YJ S1 though I always liked Robin best from the Teen Titans show, and that’s also Dick. And aww Tim’s your fav 💖. Dick and Tim have such a lovely brotherly bond.

Also, have you ever watched Supernatural or Merlin? Because if you love platonic/brotherly love, those two will fill your cup x10. thinking about Astraeus' route.. more like the versions I have;

1- The canon way. MC really fell in love with Hades. Astraeus pined for her badly on Earth. Hades betrayed her to the pantheon — and so on. We love a suffering male lead. It's kinda really charming that he waited so long for her even without the possibility of her ever returning his affections even if he was dying from being on Earth. Kinda sickly. I love it.

2- Double agent way. MC seduced Hades to use him because she hates the gods for what they did to her mother and while she grows fond of Hades it's been always her plan, to take down H.E.R.A. She doesn't trust Astraeus though and only after he said his loyalty to his brother is over does she meet him and they have this intense connection so she agrees to break up w Hades n instead work inside H.E.R.A to take the pantheon down w Astraeus providing outside support. Here I think they'd start as friends with benefits thing? (at least from MC' perspective as he's already very much in love) She keeps Hades busy n suspicions off of her she tries to figure out this weird thing between her n Astraeus. This is kinda my fave bc it has Hades' route and Astraeus' sketchy introduction & obsession w/o getting too long PLUS MC tends to Astraeus as he's beaten up from that fight with Hades and experiencing Earth for the first time, now w MC n them sharing a bed & trusting & getting to know each other before they devote themselves to each other eternally... I feel like it's needed - a step between enemies and devotion forever u know.

3- No Hades way. Not sure how to go with it tbh... I suppose in that case it starts like the other routes and Astraeus is arrested in H.E.R.A. maybe just before Pallas attacked he uses this information to gain a little trust and prevent the first explosion in Olympus. Here, the Hera edge is dealt with the MC already being Hera, meaning all this time she was living, she was actually turning into her gradually without noticing because her power and presence is too overwhelming. Astraeus helps her come to terms with it and it helps him make peace with the Olympians too. Peace and Love on the Planet Earth. In Lost Kisses, you deal with other titans but also some gods trying to sabotage the peace.

can anybody please explain the appeal of tim drake because ive been into the batfamily for a while now and tbh im really confused on why people like his character so much compared to the other robins. like they all have their own thing going on and he just... doesnt?

Have you read his Robin solo? Because if not and you want to try to like him but just don’t understand why people do, that’s what I’d recommend. That and like, Young Justice 1998. 

Because Tim definitely... does have his own thing going on. Maybe not in the same way as the others, but like, there’s a reason he has a 183 issue long solo comic that ran for like 16 years: he was fun to read about!

But I will give some more specific thoughts on the subject as a Tim Drake Appreciator™ (this got long im sorry)

The appeal of Tim (especially early on Tim) is kinda the fact that he’s this more normal kid. For a while that is his ‘thing’. He was basically designed to be a self-insert (he definitely became more than that along the way, but from the start he was meant to be relatable) in a different way than how Dick and Jason had been before him. 

Like the role of Robin from the start was this way to create a character young readers could identify with more, could see themselves in more. And Dick and Jason did that, but they still had this element to their lives and stories that was more... unattainable for the average reader. Dick was a circus prodigy, Jason was either also a circus prodigy if we remember pre-crisis or if we go with his post-crisis story he’s this street-wise orphaned kid who had a really tough life but still went on to be a hero anyways. Obviously those lives are relatable for some people, but those’re definitely not as broadly recognized as common upbringings especially not by DC trying to market to the ‘average’ kid/young teen.

But the creation of Tim changed the game a bit. Dick and Jason were these aspirations a kid could look to like ‘wow I want to be cool like that!’ but Tim was a Robin designed for kids to look at and go ‘wow, his problems and civilian life are just like mine AND he’s a hero, I want to be cool like that!’, ya know? Tim was... just a clever kid with an average life who managed to connect some dots and had enough drive to want to fix things he saw were a problem, he didn’t have the same kind of heightened drama backstory the others did. The Robins that came after Tim definitely didn’t have this idea of relatability in mind the same way either. Unfortunately Steph’s time as Robin was much more of a marketing ploy than an actual like... decision to make her Robin, so it’s hard to really fit her into this conversation. But Damian from the start was first of all initially created not to be Robin but just as the son of Talia and Bruce back in the 80’s, but when he was later reimagined into the character that would become Robin he had the whole ‘raised by and is the heir to the league of assassins and is the son of batman’ thing going on still. He just was not supposed to be relatable that same way, he was a character designed with different things in mind.

I really think it was more just DC’s 90′s era younger-audience comics in general that tried to push that relatability thing (like in YJ how Cissie even after quitting the team stays a major character as a civilian throughout, and the civilian aspect that’s super present in Bart’s 90s solo too, etc), but later in the 2000’s that idea was definitely pushed to the side in favor of... putting in even more dramatic superhero-y stuff.

And the other thing that’s... such a more normal thing but it actually made him unique here, was that Tim’s dad was still alive until like 2004 (so 15 years into Tim being around as a character). This gave Tim a lot more typical ‘family school girlfriends normal life etc’ problems on top of/in contrast with his superhero problems. These just manifested in very different ways than they could with the other Robins because of that unique situation with a living civilian parent who doesn’t know about hero stuff (until he did find out which lead to that whole Unmasked thing, but there was only the brief time around War Games & Identity Crisis where Jack knew Tim was actively Robin and he was... still alive) Tim also had his life at school expanded way more than most other Robins, like, he had such an extended supporting cast of civilian friends which is a really interesting thing to read about (and the fact that he hasn’t had that stuff since the New 52 I think really hurts his character)

And then related to that loss of his dad... Personally another thing about Tim that really interests me is how a lot of things were more... his choice. if that makes sense. A lot of characters in the Batfamily were struck with tragedy/extreme trauma before they became heroes and that’s what spurred them into this life of becoming heroes. Tim’s situation wasn’t like that at all! When he first got involved in everything during Lonely Place of Dying, the only tragedy he’d experienced was watching Dick’s tragedy happen. Which sure yes traumatic obviously, but that’s not the same as how pretty much all the other Bats had gone through these very personal losses or other sorts of very first-hand personal traumas that served as motivators. Tim didn’t start to experience those things until after he got involved in the hero life, and aside from his Mom’s death which was more of just an unrelated incident (that technically happened before he was officially Robin but it was during his time training to become Robin), pretty much all these other tragedies and things... would not have happened or been experienced by him had he not become Robin. 

That’s not me placing blame on him or anything like that, because god no that’s not how that works, but it’s very interesting because from his point of view he definitely feels that guilt because he knows him being Robin played a role in a lot of it (Thinking specifically about in Adventure Comics #3 when Kon even says “I know what guilt does to you” to him like it’s... it’s a thing with him!). His dad was murdered because he was Robin. He only met Steph and started dating her through being Robin, and thus he would not have experienced the loss of his girlfriend dying like that had he not been Robin. Tim met both Conner and Bart through being Robin, and would not have had a personal connection to them when they died otherwise. The whole Bruce’s death thing after Final Crisis, like. I could go on honestly, that was only talking about losses not even his own experiences nearly getting killed, but yeah, all these personal tragedies were experienced by him specifically because he chose to bring himself into this life, which I think in turn plays into how throughout his comics you see him go from having this really optimistic view on things and being really hopeful to seeing him at that low point he reaches by the time of Red Robin. (thinking about that one post that points out how Tim started out in the 90′s as an optimist and Steph a cynic and by the time they were Red Robin and Batgirl in 2009 they had switched outlooks...) 

I also think that him having had such a great team book with the original Young Justice can help contribute to people liking him. His friendships with the rest of the core four and that team in general are really compelling. (and that’s something like again when looking at the other Robins, while Dick had the Titans ofc, Jason never really found footing with a team outside of like one mission with the Titans and then We All Know How Damian’s Teen Titans Stuff Went. Steph also only ever really worked with a team outside the batfam on very brief occasions) and even though I’m not as big of a fan of the 2003 Teen Titans run that came after YJ, people who read Young Justice and also that could follow and be attached to those same characters over a pretty decently long period of time. 

Idk man, I don’t really have an ultimate point here i’m just rambling. I can definitely understand not seeing the appeal to him right away (honestly i’ve been into Batfam since like 2013/2014 and Tim did not become one of my faves until 2020) especially if like... idk when you say ‘into the batfamily’ that can mean a lot of different things. If you’re reading more like the bigger events with the batfam sure Tim can kinda fade into the bg a bit, if you’re more talking about fanon the fanon version of him is prettyyyyy uhhhhh not really the same as how he was in pre New 52 canon, if you’re mainly reading New 52 era Batfam stuff then that Tim I also don’t understand the appeal of bc thats Not My Boy, if you’re interested in a different member primarily and only familiar with Tim when he shows up in things focused on that other character then it’s easy to not really understand the appeal right away bc he’s more there to support that character rather than shine in his own right. 

I think it’s also worth mentioning he’s just not everybody’s cup of tea, and that’s totally fine. Like, these are fictional characters and sometimes you just will vibe with a character and sometimes you won’t! idk if this helped at all or even made sense. but yeah. I just think he’s neat 😌

to be transparent, sung is still a whole ass homiesexual. that doesn’t change, but i recently toyed with the idea of sung having an ex or a few, and i quite liked it. the details surrounding the relationship itself are changeable. chemistry would come into play here to an extent, as sung would need to enjoy spending time with someone to date them, but beyond that, the temperament of a muse taking this isn’t super strict. as for timeline, i don’t think he would have been in a mindset to date as a trainee, so 2017-2019 would be the arena i’m looking at! for how they got together, it could be that your muse was interested in sung, or that sung thought he had feelings for them because of something he admired about them, or they could be set up by friends/family. sung’s parents always want to set him up with girls so, def a possibility. another thing is,, while sung is very physically affectionate, he would limit sexual intimacy to kissing, which he’d say was because he’s conservative and religious. so that could add to potential problems, reasons for breaking up. maybe daisuke’s influence in his life would be a reason for breaking up too IDK there are a lot of different avenues. if the first muse that fits properly wants a two year relationship then it would be limited to one muse only, but i’d say tentatively it could be up to three? sung is naturally inclined to stay with partners as long as possible, so it’d be unlikely he’d be the one breaking up with them, even if he wasn’t in love with them,, which i mean he’d be convincing himself he did

i had a similar plot like this before and i LIKED it bc i think sung deserves some negative plots that are bc of him too? i’m not gonna make a whole other plot section for it but if anyone wants sung being a judgmental bitch over ur muse’s life choices that can b arranged too. but for THIS ONE sung is a perfectionist when it comes to his dance. when he was trying out different dance styles, he found he liked ballet best because it was rigid. it’s very strict and intense and that’s how he felt about dance. he wanted to constantly be doing better, and not let himself believe he’s done enough and can float on by. he’s hardest on himself over anyone else, but he’s also quite strict with others too? it’s the one area where he can come off a little mean even when he’s in good spirits. he’ll scrutinize every little thing, make them run the same minuscule part over and over until it’s just right and can be done that way every time. he’s a little more forgiving with non dancers, yet, still not that much lol so whether your muse is a dancer or not, they just take issue with sung’s way of practice n it causes a Rift of some sort

sung is a fan of every canon group that’s debuted before him except for polaris (& even then he likes some of their music) so this plot is open to multiple people, and because of it, there are multiple routes to go down. for someone who is different as a public persona than face to face, sung could easily be let down by not getting what he thought he would receive from the person. on occasion, it can be even a small difference that would make him a lil pouty, but the bigger the difference, the more dramatic his response. there’s also the more typical route of him meeting one of the people he looks up to and that interaction being the basis of all of their conversations, sung starry-eyed and keeping a business distance between them. or, a senior who takes him under their wing as a fresh face in the industry and he eats up being a protege of one of his faves. or delving deeper into something along those lines, someone he looks up to for a specific reason (for dance i’d say titan’s main dancer, lily’s main rapper main dancer, & equinox’s main dancer are the best bets. for vocals, titan’s main vocals, lily’s main vocal, calypso’s main vocal, selene’s main vocal, equinox’s main vocal, and platinum’s main vocal would be best) and seeks lessons from

sung tends to try to make every relationship he has into some deep positive thing, but he has a lot of that, and i think there is merit in people that are just work friends. in this case, i think the best version of this is with other songwriter muses? or potentially choreographer muses. expressing creativity with someone else can be something that makes him feel intimately close with someone, without the necessity of hanging out all of the time, talking all of the time. their relationship can be kept to sharing the intimacy of their own minds with one another. he could have a couple of these, maybe two? we could make plans for them to work on things in the future too! they could be sung’s go-to’s, if the chemistry works well enough as well

dancer gc (must have a dance position and passion for dance) - a member of said gc

leader gc (must be a group leader) - a member of said gc

no leader thx (must be in quantum) - someone who was upset that sung was given a leader role with such a short period under the company. could be something they worked out, he changed their mind on, they ignore, or is perhaps still an issue

trust (must be in quantum) - vaguely i’d want to explore the building of trust with each of the quantum members, but maybe the first one he started building that bridge with? maybe it gives them a different edge to their relationship, something Closer bc of it

wave - a fan of quantum, maybe they could bond over sung’s love of quantum’s performance and how theyre a concept group. maybe sunghee can be spooked if ur muse wants more intense horror concepts bc he babie n feels couldnt handle that

crushes - sung has crushes on many a men, esp friends, so there’s possibilities there, but so too if anyone else develops a poor crush on lil sunggie

I’ve done this before long ago but I’m going to take this in a different direction this time and talk about characters for various reasons

Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan): when I started this series recently, everyone told me I would love Levi, everyone loves Levi. I went into this determined not to feed into that expectation, but look where I am now. In my opinion, he has never done or said anything wrong

Bulma (Dragon Ball): due to fanon and a recent series which shall not be named, this lady is not usually at the top of my interests. BUT have you seen Dragon Ball Bulma? The bratty, selfish, thirsting teenage genius just looking to take advantage of a dumb hick kid to get what she needs? Because I do, and I love those qualities of hers

Fred & George Weasley (Harry Potter): these guys were hilarious and had the best attitude even when the odds were against them, even raising Harry’s spirits in some of his worst moments. Their antics helped me through what (to me) was the least interesting part of the HP series, but from beginning to end, definitely my faves

Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia): I usually don’t have a lot of love for the mean, angry guy who’s actually a real softy beneath all the yelling and insults, to be honest. But this guy won me over somehow

Hatake Kakashi (Naruto): okay, so he’s the same one I always talk about with Naruto. But when it comes to Naruto with me, it’s always been Kakashi, Kakashi, Kakashi right from the beginning

Itadori Yuji (Jujutsu Kaisen): one of few shounen protagonists I genuinely love! He is so sweet, a little self-conscious, but also extremely self aware and just genuinely cares for the people around him. I can’t say enough about him

Peter Petrelli (Heroes): the main guy in the series, and idk how many of you may remember it bc it’s not available anywhere lately and I’ve been so tempted to rewatch! But his excitement at learning of his powers and boyish desire to be a hero and save everyone combined with his really op abilities really kept me invested in him

Piccolo (DBZ): not Goku for once (don’t worry he’s still my favorite). BUT I wanted to talk about Piccolo here bc I’m seeing a pattern in all the anime I currently enjoy and realizing if I was only introduced to DBZ just now instead of when I was a teen, there’s a good chance he could’ve been my favorite. His dry humor and personality have always been enjoyable, I just liked Goku better (and first)

Chris Keller (Oz): also a series I expect most of my mutuals don’t know, but soooo good. It’s dark and graphic, but if that’s not a problem for you, I highly recommend. Chris especially is manipulative and cruel, but also charismatic and sexy which just makes him a dangerous character for a lot of people. So entertaining to watch

Joker (Batman): he has been and always will be my favorite Batman character. I also love his whole thing with Harley Quinn, but he is so twisted and clever, such a challenge for Batman in every version of his existence over the years

hi!! no not annoying at all.....sorry for the late reply! i am happy to give u a list of some of my faves..i may add more onto this in the future but ill give u a brief version,.,,bc im currently struggling to remember the names of a lot of my faves!

probably my fave fic ever, and in all honesty im not entirely sure why. that’s not an insult at thebaddestwolf, who writes several sentences that brings me to tears throughout the course of this story, but just because it is out of my usual realm of things i read? its a post doomsday fic, where ten/rose are communicating via psychic paper.... needless to say its angsty but has an ending that is not only happy, but satisfying.

oh god..this one hurts me in a way that is so deep... and it is done very well. there are hints (I say hints, but it is honestly pretty obvious) of nine/rose throughout, and basically the premise is in one of nine/roses adventures at a foreign bar  rose stumbles upon a ten (who was in search of her)  right after the titanic incident.. so good... kind of a sad ending.

hot tub sex. very hot. ten cannot believe rose is even in front of him, yeah its a little painful but so so good. reunion fic post midnight. not much else to say.

for starters, i already love abbey, so all of her stuff is worth a read.

but as far as content goes, we have this really great 10/rose dynamic in which we have an easily embarrassed/trying to seem chill totallynotchill rose against a cheeky- if a bit blunt ten and it is wonderful. sexy, gorgeous writing, mastery of the characters being written- their voices are very clear.

oh god,,,,, where do i even start... okay im gonna be honest and say i havent finished this one...not because of how long it is or because i wasnt interested by ANY MEANS but because the rose was so raw that it hurt to read. from my understanding, the ending is happy, and it is probably some of the best writing ive read for doc who.... you will not be disappointed. it is so sososo crazy good. the premise is there are still some flaws in pete’s world, and tentoo/rose have to learn how to fix that issue..while still trying to relearn their dynamic. it is PAINFUL... but gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.

What do you prefer writing for more: Dickkory (live action version) or Robstar (cartoon and comic version)? Sorry I was just so curious about it.

Well, I haven’t actually written anything for dickkory (live action). All of my dickkory is mostly based on the dcamu aka the universe in which they are the most domesticated fucks in the world and i love it even if they are now ruining that with the apokolips movie.

Robstar, to me, is actually only for the TTA version. Like, I don’t write RobStar other than if they are based on the cartoon bc to me... every other version in media is dickkory but that is just me.

Personally, I prefer writing dickkory based in like dcamu. I grew up with TTA and was a hardcore fan; still am and I love robstar as much as any other fan. Like ask me anything about my otp and I will vomit my love for them all over ya. 

However, sometimes, writing them is hard because they are young and you have to kinda keep to the fact they are embarrassed and blushy and... well... teens who are awkward. It’s not until you write them a little further on from Tokyo that you can make them flirty and comfortable with it being believable. When I see fics that have robstar like smooth af with each other like a day after they kiss in Tokyo... I’m just like... yeaaa no... they wouldn’t be that comfortable, that quick, given how they are in the whole show. Imo.

Whereas, dcamu dickkory for example... they are grown up when you are first introduced to their relationship so the comfort and the familiarity is already there so it makes it a bit more fun to just slip right into writing them as this old married couple type, yknow?

And, despite what some people think, I’m fairly versed in their comic selves too. I haven’t spent years reading the comics and I know some elite fans think you have to have read every DC comic in existence to have an opinion on the comic versions of these characters (spoiler, you dont have to) but I’ve dabbled and learned pieces of comics; enough to have in mind what they are like as a couple.

And, again that is different to any other media version as well. All the interpretations of this pairing are unique and different and all valid af... even dickkory in Titans. As little of it as there is lmao.

But for me personally? I have the most fun writing adult dickkory in dcamu, then TTA and then I’ve sort of written a couple things for comic dickkory but nothing like super worked on. I prefer to actually write for dcamu or tta and then bring in elements from the comics tbh. I’ve not written anything for Titans! Dickkory... although I would like to if just to erase the absolute shit show the writers have turned that pairing into on the actual show. 

So, yeah. Long rant there but dcamu dickkory is my fave version of them to write. At least, at the moment. XD
