Here we have my visual interpretation of Reigen's sister and brother-in-law! Love how they are written in the fanfic, they are so canon to me now, this is how I imagen the Reigen Family to be. And I love the Reigen's dyed hair detail!, I headcanon that his original color is his manga colors.

I love how todo, alongside nanami, is one of Yuuji’s best mentor figures. You can really see a lot of Yuki’s mindset and behavior shine through him and I hope we get more of that, through a flashback or todo’s thoughts, before the series ends

Do you think Aegon has an understanding of engineering achievements? There is a reason for the greens downfall after Rhaenyra dies, as he doesn’t listen to any council. I’m suprised you of all people think this a praise worthy achievement, to commission statues that are i Daley expensive after the war.

no no this is exactly the point!

aegon's in the middle of a war for the throne, a war he is very much losing. every single bit of his resources should be going to the war, if he was trying to win it. and yet aegon commissions the statues anyways!

his brothers, and his love for them, his grief, is more important than the war. it's symbolic of how he never even wanted the throne, how this war in his mind is useless if the family he started it for is gone.

that's why it's so tragic: because the thing aegon thought was the only thing that could protect his family ended up killing them anyways. because he's left with this crown, and this throne, and this war, that he doesn't even want. not when his brothers are dead. and that's what makes him a compelling character: that he's always cared more about his family than about political achievement.

in my opinion, the most fascinating, the most human parts of fire and blood are exactly the parts where love is prioritized over what is logical. i mean, isn't that the entire reason the strong boys exist? rhaenyra loved harwin, and she trusted him, and their children are the embodiment of that devotion. was it a good political decision to have kids with the literal polar opposite of the man she needed to pretend was their true dad? no. does that make her a bad, weak, or uninteresting character? it's exactly the opposite, it makes her more compelling!

are people really mad about team rocket winning because its "just going oh gender!" because that is not true. vivian is canon trans but meowth was for nearly a decade voiced by a trans woman (maddie blaustein) that credited the experience to part of why she was able to come out! a significant amount of the votes towards team rocket will be a result of this (and the common man in a dress jokes around james, something that while intended as just a repeated punchline is commonly reclaimed by trans fans.)

earthsea film is so boringggg I feel like I've been here 1000 years the character design is all bad which usually with an unfaithful ghibli adaption at least we have character design. I have no problem with stuff being changed in an adaptation but so much of it feels meaningless. I actually think simply combining the plots of tehanu + the farthest shore & adapting them to fit together could've been an improvement on the originals because tehanu was kind of directionless but has great characters whereas the farthest shore has a very compelling central conflict but it's the weakest character wise. instead the weird desire to be Every Earthsea Book Playing At Once is suuuuch a mess but it's sad bc im kind of imagining what I described in my head instead and i wish we had that
