You prefer fantasy books over science fiction books
[...]so many good qualities,” Sturmhond said. “It can be hard to choose.”
-Leigh Bardugo, Siege and Storm (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy, #2)
Much blood has also been spilled on the carpet in attempts to distinguish between science fiction and fantasy. I have suggested an operational definition: science fiction is something that COULD happen - but usually you wouldn't want it to. Fantasy is something that COULDN'T happen - though often you only wish that it could.
-Arthur C. Clarke
Unfortunately, in many cases, people who write science fiction violate the laws of nature, not because they want to make a point, but because they don't know what the laws of nature are.
-Isaac Asimov
The difference between science fiction and fantasy … is simply this: science fiction has rivets and fantasy has trees.
-Orson Scott Card
Part of the particular interest and beauty of science fiction and fantasy: writer and reader collaborate in world-making.
-Ursula K. Le Guin
Science fiction is any idea that occurs in the head and doesn't exist yet, but soon will, and will change everything for everybody, and nothing will ever be the same again. As soon as you have an idea that changes some small part of the world you are writing science fiction. It is always the art of the possible, never the impossible.
-Ray Bradbury
When I die, I'm leaving my body to science fiction.
-Steven Wright

There needs to stop being such a sudden and delightful influx of knitting and crocheting themed fics out of nowhere. I’m gonna pick up yet another crafting hobby that I’ll try for a bit and only pick at sporadically for the rest of my life after buying the materials for it. I’m serious, bro, don’t test me, I’m about to try to fiber craft my way into lying to myself that I’m gonna make myself some cozy sweaters and will give up long before I reach that level of competence. It’s gonna happen, stop sounding so charming and pastoral in your AUs, I’m serious, man.

And not two minutes after posting that sad lad post, I'm hiding under my bed trying to scare the shit out of my partner because teehee
No but really I'm posting this from under the bed. I am actively in wait as we speak. Like you know that voiceover video of the little spider burying himself in sand? That is me. I am that spider.

every time you mention rotating kon in the microwave it reminds me of my urge to draw a gif of kon rotating in the microwave
PLEASE KAKDJDJKSHDMSL that's me every day of my LIFE. sometimes i open the microwave to poke him with a stick. to give him a good vigorous stir or shake him out properly. very occasionally i also rotate him in the blender (much more violent rotation) (sorry kon) (you're gonna make SUCH a good fucking smoothie i prommy) (this metaphor is rapidly getting away from me im gonna quit while im ahead)

RLY GOOD MATT/JEN FIC (i wrote fuck first then fick instead im still reeling from it). omegaverse can be so good when it isnt like. yaoiverse but somehow even more sexist.
AAAAHHH Thank you!! like for real I actually think there's a lot of potential in the omegaverse to tell stories about sexism and queerphobia like if it's done right it's actually a brilliant satire of gender roles because it exaggerates the rolls but decouples them from our idea of binary gender. But like I'm not saying that's what I did in this fic, but like I've been reading more omegaverse lately because sometimes there will be a good one that's just so gender because this is a world where men can get pregnant and women can have dicks and no one bats an eye. Like the idea of man or woman in the omegaverse should be purely performative just a free expression of identity because those binaries are not linked to reproduction which is like super interesting and no one really plays in that space
