Note: Long time no see! Hope you all enjoy something lots of people requested in my absence! 🙏 Also this is written before Arlecchino’s release. So there may be some OOC Harbingers lol

Arlecchino: “Their Grace has quite the sweet tooth. Naturally I don’t mind indulging them in the sweetest treats I can find. Spending time with Their Grace is not a privilege everyone enjoys… they constantly join my children and I for tea or just simple conversation… What’s with that look? Surely you don’t believe I would actually cause harm to them. No matter what you think of the Fatui, Her Majesty still reveres Their Grace. So naturally we would feel the same.”

Furina: “I always feared what Their Grace would think of me. I was pretending to be the Hydro Archon, I knew with just one look, they would know I wasn’t who I claimed. I thought I was ready to accept any form of punishment they deemed worthy. However when we first met, their benevolence really shined through. They really understood just how draining the past few decades were for me and even apologized for not being there…. Ehem! Anyways…! I actually have a tea party with Their Grace this afternoon! I must get the most exquisite confectioneries to suit their palate.”

Lyney: “So that’s what you wanted to ask! Well yes, there have been many times when Their Grace and I have been alone together.… and as the successor, I have to tend towards Their Grace in “Fathers” absence. Having any kind of relationship with them is very beneficial for the House of the Hearth, but them wanting to spend more time with me than with the Iudex or even Ms. Furina… well, I won’t complain one bit!”

Nahida: “My favorite thing to do with Their Grace is trading knowledge with them. Even with Irminsul, Their Grace knows bits of knowledge I’ve never heard before. They were here once before, back when all members of the Seven were still in contact with each other. I have no memory of that. So it’s only fair that I’m able to make memories of my own with Their Grace now right?”

Neuvillette: “Their Grace spends a lot of their time in Fontaine. As the Iudex and with no Archon ruling the nation, I have made it my personal responsibility to tend to their needs.… You are correct, Their Grace and I do spend quite a lot of time together, anytime I am free of my duties I always look forward to sharing a cup of water imported from Qiaoying Village and listening to whatever they wish to talk about.… Hm? No of course not. There is nothing I would deem as “too much work” when it comes to Their Grace.”

Pantalone: “There is no amount of mora I wouldn’t spend on Their Grace. No matter what they request, whether it be big or small, common or rare, I will always get it for them. Tell me Traveler, do you believe I am buying Their Grace’s attention? There are many people in Teyvat who have money, yet their gaze never leaves mine. It seems that obtaining a vision isn’t the only way to get favor from the Gods.”

Venti: “Hello there Traveler…! You were coming here to see Their Grace? Well, you just missed them! But worry not, I can sing you a song I just wrote about them! Oh…? You think that the Creator favors me? Well I’d rather it be me than any of the other Archons! All of Mondstadt believes that I’m just some bard who managed to capture Their Grace’s attention, but in reality I think I understand Their Grace better than anyone. Hehe…”

Wriothesley: “I never really expected to meet Their Eminence, but once they requested to enter the Fortress I made sure everything was in order for their arrival. Even now, they come down often just to share a cup of tea with Sigewinne and I. A lot of the prisoners believe that I have some sort of favoritism or that I take bribes from them… hm? Well I didn’t say it wasn’t true, but I didn’t think it was that obvious…”

Zhongli: “You wish to know about my relationship with Their Grace? As the eldest Archon, I take pride in having the strongest connection with them. Even now, when they return to Teyvat centuries later, it feels as if our connection has never changed. If they ever choose to settle in one of the nations, I would be honored if they chose Liyue. Everything I’ve done has been in their image, and being able to spend time with them as Zhongli rather than Morax is a privilege I will never take for granted.”

My first post back just to see how it felt to write some of my favorite characters again. Anyway, I will be opening requests so feel free to send something in! :)

It's okay, silly! Tbh I forgot Neuvi existed but hey it's fine-

Anyway! I wonder what Arlecchino would think of Fontaine (and specifically Neuvi and Furina) taking care of the creator post-failed execution and helping them heal! Maybe Father could bring a couple of the younger children to kinda soothe (and also emotionally manipulate a bit but it's okay-) the creator with like the innocence as if saying "Look at how they love you! You'll stay with them right? :)"

I'm so sorry i'm having a Furina/Arle/Noelle brain rot rn- (Just thinking about the angst potential in these three in both sagau and otherwise ahhh)

Omg wait Arlecchino...tbh I think she is probably why most deaths within Fontaine happened now thinking about it.

Because while I know most like to have the Fataui be the good ones that can see the truth in their aus...tbh it doesn't make much sense to me. Mainly because while they want to fight against the Heavily Principles, they still are influenced by them because of their laws. So Tsaritsa would definitely order all members to kill any imposters on sight. So they would actually help the hunt.

But if we're talking during the healing phase then Arle definitely would be contributing by potentially letting them let steam out via fighting. Of course she would keep a close eye to make sure they don't get hurt, even wouldn't hesitate to harshly take their weapon away if sensing even a hint of a possible self infliction of harm. But anyway, she definitely gives me vibes of "aren't you tired of being nice, don't you wanna go apeshit?" for some reason.

Also yes she definitely uses the children to manipulate the creator (post healing, so all good again if we ignore that fact that they're not hostage in Fontaine) to keep their attention away from others. Or even use the fact that the creator is physically attracted to her to her advantage (like me, she can step on me any day-*SLAP*).

Though if I think about it a bit, her reaction to finding out what was actually happening would probably make her seem more stoic then usual. I mean she would be devastated don't get me wrong, but I get a sense that she would move past it quickly for the sake of getting plan healing the creator set in motion as quick as possible. Like her, Neuvillette, and Furina are like the three masterminds over this. Though that's not gonna stop her from asking the creator for forgiveness (but after they heal, when they're sound of mind again).

I can't really say more? Mainly because I'm admittedly not caught up with the game at all dhekehfj I haven't played in months and idk if I will any time soon (though the fact that Arle coming soon AND Sethos being shown is tempting me). But I still love the characters and the, which is why I made the au both for my own creativity and become I like putting the characters I love in various situations.

Alright. Can we talk about Freminet? About "Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, don't cry!"?

After the AQ and all the hints presented, it has become more or less clear - Enkanomiya's prophesy turned out to be true and Neuvillette is the reincarnated Hydro Sovereign. Neuv may not be the Archon, but who is stopping us from creating wholesome headcanons?

So, if Neuv experiencing strong emotions such as grief, sadness or self-doubt causes a rain to fall in Fontaine... What about Tsaritsa's heartache causing sweeping blizzards that last days, weeks, MONTHS, sowing chaos in the nation of cryo?

What if Snezhnayans have a similar saying? What if House of Hearth children were taught a somewhat re-phrased saying to comfort their "Mother" - Tsaritsa? (I feel like if orphans call Arlecchino "Father", like Lyney did in AQ, then presumably, Tsaritsa should be "Mother". They are also given surnames of Snezhevich (male) or Snezhevna (female), which basically translates as son/daughter of snow!)

Tsaritsa is wholesome. Harbingers are wholesome. And hoyoverse is telling me i have to wait 2 more years to meet the rest of their family? They better feed me crumbs of official lore or else i will starve 😭😭

UGH YES!!! CANON!! Poor Tsaritsa though :( As much as she doesn't want her people or nation to suffer, she can't help the icy winds that howl through the land and pound against windows, or the snow that stands knee-deep. Yet many of the citizens still feel pity for their suffering Archon despite the situation.

I really like that idea! With her whole thing probably being the God of love it would make sense that she is looked on as a sort of mother figure who is supposed to be loving and nurturing to her people (despite Dainsleif saying otherwise.) And I actually didn't realize that part about the surnames until I looked it up, that's pretty cool!

And yup, 🐺 anon me and you will be waiting 2+ years to see her and the other Harbingers. 😓 Honestly I don't even know how going to Snezhnaya will play out considering we're the Fatui's enemies and I'm sure the Tsaritsa doesn't think very fondly of the Traveler lol

4.0 archon quest thoughts

first i have to say that i’ve been waiting for this for as long as i’ve been playing genshin and so i felt very normal about it (lying)

i liked lyney and lynette way more than expected! i had been neutral on them this entire time but i ended up really enjoying them

their backstory was darker in a more real world way than i was expecting from genshin. not that genshin never has dark/heavy story elements, but usually they’re curved by a more fantasy aspect (e.g. the genocide in khaenri’ah is they were all cursed to be monsters rather than straight up slaughter, scaramouche trying to kill himself is him erasing himself from existence magically rather than actual suicide, etc) but lyney’s account of their childhood involving lynette being a victim of child sex trafficking is like. jesus christ.

on that note, very cool of arlecchino to kill child abusers. but if she was really cool, she would kill the child abuser in her own organization.

i obviously invested stocks early in neuvillette and furina, and i was slightly disappointed with their characters. i guess it’s not too unexpected since i had such high expectations. my opinion dipped significantly in the middle but then mostly recovered by the end. i’ll have to think about it a while longer to fully process.

neither of them was like cunty enough. i wanted them to be bitchier. but my neuvillette opinion recovered when started bawling in his office after navia yelled at him, and my furina opinion recovered seeing her take a trial seriously and hearing that she takes the prophecy seriously and is working on it herself. neuvillette is primarily competent with side of cringe, and furina is primarily cringe with a side of competent. i can live with this.

navia and clorinde gay, but also it doesn’t matter to me if someone had a good reason, i’m not sure i could be friends with/date the person who killed my father. idk that i could get past it. i wish they’d twisted the knife a little more there.

would have loved to hear what evidence they even had against childe in the serial disappearances case. would have loved to know who even accused him. the disappearance started over 20 years ago, you know, when he was a toddler in another country.

the whole time the merged victims consciousness oceanid avatar was talking to vacher i was saying “let’s go ladies, kill kill kill, ladies, let’s kill, c’mon girlies, let’s kill” and then they did so yippee!! hooray!!

swimming mechanics so fun but i hate the underwater combat. i know that farming mats is gonna be hell for me.

are we gonna jailbreak childe? free my man, he isn’t innocent but he didn’t do that one.

prevailing theory is that arlecchino tampered with the oratrice to sow distrust in the fontaine justice system. used childe as the case just for funsies. to tease and bully him. workplace harassment.

childe talking about the abyss he fell into having a giant whale being and him being unable to find it again, i have to think he fell into the primordial sea. i hope the whale beast is a trounce domain. furina story quest 2.

For canon deets:

Arlecchino: First off they were Non-Binary. Father was far more gentle with Lynette and I than one would expect. They had a penchant for choosing favorites- In every little thing they could- They even had favorite dishes within each Hearth. They truly were an actual parent for Lynette and I, of course through legal adoption, but in behavior as well. For the other members of the hearth Father, while addressed as a parent, was far more like a teacher or boss. Father was typically hard to read, and rarely had much tone within their voice, but they loved to tease me about many things- Especially my love life, just as any parent would. Father also loved to participate in my magic act. The others thought they were just humoring me, but they would genuinely be excited to participate. I think it was mostly because they loved to bewilder the others, rather than a love of the tricks. But it was fun every single time. They were highly protective, and even went to speak to Wriothesley about our relationship before I could even say no. Lynette would always patch them up after battle while they were in fontaine, and despite their demeanor, they would always twitch when certain injuries were touched. We never mentioned it, but it reminded us they could indeed feel pain.

Fontaine hearth: While the hearth used family terms, we typically didnt see eachother as family. There would be groups of claimed family among us all, the small group still living in the fontaine hearth is an example. For my timeline the only ones living in the hearth building were Lynette and I, Freminet, and 5 of the girls who Father saved alongside Lynette. Of course Lynette and the other girls all grew very close, I was dragged in with them, and not a single one of us was going to make Freminet feel excluded. So we were all siblings.

Freminet specifically: He never cried for real. He was incapable of it, no matter how awful he felt. However he could fake cry on command. The most mischivious thing he would ever do is use it to manipulate our siblings into doing something. Get us to cave because he was one of the youngest, then immediately stop and smile and thank us. Worked every time =m="

Wriothesley: The cowlicks in his hair always caused people to think he had atavism. He told me he tried to tame them down when he was younger, but they'd always come back so he gave up. He eventually just grew used to people thinking he was an actual wolf, and when Sigewinne joined meropides staff she got him to dress up as one for any costume related holiday (she even made some up but dont tell him that, he looked adorable. (Neuvillette and I both were in on it- for different reasons- I wanting to see Wrio dressed up, and he wanting to see his daughter happy)). Wriothesley was extremely empathetic, and even after only hearing Lynette and I "talk robot" a few times, he tried to mimic it when I once shut down while visiting him. He was terrible at it, but I loved that he tried in the first place.

Aether: He was obsessed with fighting and the outdoors. He loved finding big monsters to fight and to scavange parts and pieces that would fall off of them. The institute loved him because he'd be down to test copellia and copellius whenever they needed. He gifted Lynette, Freminet, and I all what in game are our boss drops. When he found the giant crabs cave and brought back the shell piece for me, he immediately dragged me out of the city to go see it because it fucking ruled. Boys will be Boys and Boys Love Giant Pyro Crabs. Even though he had the teapot he much prefered camping, much to Paimons dismay. He also seemed to be a dirt magnet, even fresh out of a shower he seemed to still somehow have dirt on his face. My crush on him was very short lived but I can at least say he was one of my closest friends, and it did become a fun bit between us to flirt as a joke.

Finally Lynette: She didn't stand behind me because she was shy, it was because as children after our foster parent had my ears and tail removed, she became my new balance for a while. While as adults the issue was long solved, the habit remained. She was often scared that one day we would grow apart, and that often manifested as being upset that I was dating. I eventually got her to understand that my dating wouldnt seperate us- By setting her up on a few dates of her own. (Thank you for agreeing Charlotte) She wasn't great with money, often spending her weekly allowance all on snacks within a day or two, then begging me for mine- Her and Paimon were very similar in that aspect. All the cats of the hearth would slowly follow her around the building. She would sit down and the cats would all trickle into the room. Except for my dear Rosselind of course, she typically followed me.
