The way that hangman instantly starts to regret his actions the moment the cage lifts and he can walk out is gut wrenching because you can see the fog of hatred and need for vengeance clear and he doesn’t like what he has become and what he’s done. The emotions of regret and grief are so clear as he stands there with his lip quivering and eyes starting to tear up. He just beat a man so bad that the match was called off and he doesn’t know what to do with himself or the level of violence he just enacted. His gut instinct is to go back and check on swerve but the crowd start to scream and beg him to stop because they no longer trust that he’s capable of the level of care and kindness he once was known for. The crowd that cheered, loved and supported him without question are now scared of him and what he’s capable of and he realizes that in the moment and it’s heartbreaking. And he’s going to have to come to terms with the fact that he became the monster he initially fought against and figure out who he is after this and how to move forward from it.
I mean you simply cannot get anymore insane that a fucking straight up chairshot to the head, a wonderfully brutal finish to an absolutely disgusting match.
Just, amazing man, this is what a blood feud is all about, Professional wrestling is about anger, and hatred, and violence and they fucking DID IT FULL BLOWN TONIGHT RAAAAAHHHHH.
People are going to hate the outcome but the point here is that Moxley didn't just squash Orange like a bug. Cassidy was exhausted from all those title defenses and still took Mox to the limit. Now he can rest up and when the rematch happens Mox will have to wonder if he can handle an Orange Cassidy at 100%.
I love Bryan Danielson. But he's not as clean as Tony Schiavone said. The man cheated to win against Nigel McGuinness, he spat on Daniel Garcia (even cut off his entrance), he called Eddie Kingston a bum, he attacked Jun Akiyama, and he also cheated to win against Zack Sabre Jr.
I am not slightly surprised that Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli (BCC) betrayed him. I was surprised that they wanted to kill him. All of this resentment/karma is catching up to him. He's not perfect and possibly an anti-hero. But he's not as clean as Tony claimed to be. This hero worship from Wheeler Yuta is probably gonna be backfired someday.
