THE ANALYSIS OF JOHN B ROUTLEDGE

In the fandom, what I've seen is a lot of what I feel is misinterpretation of John B's character, which is leading to a lot of unnecessary slander, and overall a negative vibe surrounding John B, and giving a negative wave of backlash to those who do like his character. I am all for positive emotions, and supporting and liking and disliking whatever characters you'd like! Though, I would like to put this out here just as a way of explaining what I've seen in his character. This is not a professional opinion by any means, but I do have a habit and (ringing my own bell) talent in analyzing different characters from an unbiased point of view.

DISCLAIMER: All of this is not fact, but a closely analyzed opinion. You are free to disagree and I genuinely do not care if you don't like John B! I wrote this because I wanted to and feel it could help. And this is written FOR JOHN B. Don't hit me with comments of “but JJ also” or “but Kie didn't MEAN to” or anything, because I am not writing about them. I’m writing this one for John B, about John B, and how someone would view life through his eyes and with everything that happened.

Now, onto the analysis.

Episode 1:

John B has a wave of issues being presented in not-so friendly forms. A 16 year old is living alone, considering his father has been missing for 9 months. Looking at it that way, he's had to finish his school year while juggling constant jobs to take care to himself, for food, gas, and paying bills, on top of school. Even if it's revealed he missed a lot of school that year, it's hard to blame him. His mom left him when he was still a baby, His uncle by definition also abandoned him, and his father is gone. He's threatened with foster care daily, which means he would lose everything that he has, his home, and his friends, which are the only thing keeping his head above water.

That alone is enough to give him intense abandonment issues. Both parental figures left, his guardian is as he described it “MIA”, so his ability to process how people see him and how he sees relationships is going to be, at best, rocky. He's going to have it in his head that everyone around him can leave at any time and he won't have any sort of say in it. Not to mention the depression and the anxiety that would bubble up from all of this. Depression makes you lash out, anxiety makes you pull away, two things he's shown to have trouble controlling.

He gets an idea for a way to try and make his life better, and get money to support himself, JJ being the one to hype that up despite Kie and Pope being against it.

Come the party later that night at the boneyard. A widespread party with lots of people there, lots of drinking, and comes the fight between Topper and JJ, which led to John B stepping in to protect JJ.

This is the first of many times where John B is almost murdered or killed. Hearing Topper yells “dont make me drown you like your old man”, then being drowned by him, while everyone stood and watched until JJ went off his shits and saved him.

This? Is all just the first episode. A peek into the curtain of how his family abandoned him, then he gets his shit beaten in, and he gets drowned by Topper. This would only worsen his already fragile mental state. At this point, he's ready to call it off, and leave it alone, but JJ gets desperate to help his friend and himself, and he goes along with it. This leads to, again, him getting shot at by the two guys hunting down the compass he stole off the boat. The second time John B is almost killed.

“With no parents, no money, and no one looking out for me, I've got no chance, unless I make it on my own.”

He sees no way out of the hole he's in anymore unless he fights tooth and nail to get out of it, no matter what it takes.

Episode 2:

In this episode, he's got it in his head now that since he found a compass on a wrecked boat, that his dad is trying to reach out to him. When you have abandonment issues as deep-running as John B, any possible chance that someone who left already is trying to come back? You run with it. You cling to it like it is all you have, and for him, it is. This compass is all that he has to go on, and he's desperate to try and figure it out because this is his fathers last way of communicating with him.

He goes to Ms. Lana's house, and has to both watch and listen to two men terrorize her, and he is told vaguely by Ms. Lana that it is horrible that he has the compass. He returns home to talk to his friends, and goes to his dads office for the first time in a long time, and has to relive the fact his fathers gone at that point.

Only for the two guys to come to John B's house. They break in and completely ransack the place, they steal a good chunk of John B's fathers stuff. They have to sneak out of the window and go to hide until the two men leave, but, he has to sit and watch these people break apart his home and steal from him.

After all of that, they go to the lighthouse, where he's thrown into another panic over this compass that no one is telling him about. He's frustrated, and he's scared. They leave the lighthouse and in a complete blind instinct of adrenaline, he kisses Kie, and gets rejected by her. Then, he gets arrested, questioned, and has to get bailed out by Kie's dad, who insults him. Now Kie won't talk to him, and he has to go home to his damaged house.

He also has to get fired from hi only stable job, so now he has no money and no job, a damaged home, and lost a friend for now.

Not only that, but he does get hunted down by those two men again, and is almost killed for thr 3rd time, and runs through an electric fence, where he's almost killed the 4th time. He gives up his fathers compass, and while ull of hurt and despair for everything, returns home to try and move past everything, but he catches another glimpse of possibility, and he clings to it all over again.

And, his urge and crave to hunt down his dad only grows as they find the Redfield tomb thingy and find the package left behind by Big John.

Episode 3:

It starts off with John B having to sit through the emotion that comes with hearing his fathers voice for the first time in 9 months. The pain and the confusion and how much he missed him rushing back, it's a feeling that is hard to describe, but it is draining, and it doesn't feel good.

He talks to everyone about how he just wants to have a normal life, and stop stressing so much about damn near everything.

He's decently up in this episode, but his actions only worsen. He encourages stealing, and puts himself into risky situations. This is the bud of the suicidal/reckless tendencies he starts to develop as he starts to lose regard for his own safety, because subconsciously, he sees no point in caring about what happens to himself and those around him. This is where he gets desperate for a reason to keep existing, because he lost every other one that he had.

Episode 4:

In this episode, they find the merchant. They track it down and find it's empty, but John B isn't ready to give up.

He gets met, unfortunately, with DCS, who force him to pack, and start to take him away. In an attempt to not leave behind anything? He jumps from a moving vehicle, and is now being hunted down for the first time.

He's taken in by Sarah.

DISCLAIMER: OPINION.

This is where we see Sarah see that things with John B aren't cookie cutter. She knows hes plotting something, and she wants to get away from her Kook life and do something different and exciting. So, she tags along for the ride. Her and John B go out and Sarah puts John B into a situation where he is being led on by her, despite her being in a relationship. But, her desperation to break from her box gets the best of her, and John B clings to that romance, because a romantic relationship has a more solid foundation than a friendship to him. They're less likely to leave him. So, he wants to run with it.

This is a huge part of why he kissed Kie. In his eyes, if he's dating them, maybe they wont leave, but he can't have that same situation with just a friend. He knows that, and this is where he starts to push away his friends. Bite before you can get bitten, it's depression + abandonment issues 101.

Episode 5:

This one is.. a mess. Its a mess.

We start right off the bat with John B realizing that he can't go home anymore. JJ and John B get into a pretty nasty argument. JJ is concerned for his friend, and he wants him to be safe and stop all of this, naturally, but to John B? He hears JJ trying to give him on him, to abandon him, and to leave all of this. He reacts to this by lashing out at him, yelling at him, and talking about how he just wants to stop because he got beat up. Which, John B is still under the assumption it was just the Kooks, when it was both the Kooks and his father – something John B didn't catch onto. After they yell at eachother, John B has JJ following him again. It's a safe zone once more in John B's mind.

Then, after the party is crashed and they all meet up, John B tries to explain that Sarah got wrapped up into all of this. He has Kie, Pope, and even if JJ knew already, he's not too happy about it either. So he's got everyone mad at him for this, and even if spirits are high in terms of his recklessly driven hunt, he sees everyone around him getting angrier, and angrier. And that? Is making him angry too.

He goes to meet Sarah at the hawks nest. And once again, he is almost killed. He's shoved off of it by none other than Topper (who has tried to murder him twice now), and plummets, and ends up in the hospital.

But things can start to turn around, because Ward took him in and he has a legal guardian now, right?

No.

Ward is plotting to keep John B under his nose to make sure he doesn't find anything else out.

Episode 6:

Again, not much happens here. Things seem to be going good and despite Wards want for John B laying low, he doesn't. He finds the gold.

Episode 7:

Here, we have another instance in which JJ's bad ideas get John B (and everyone) put into danger. After trying to pawn off the gold, they get stopped by Barry, who threatens to kill him and robs them. John B is quick to jump into the line of fire and get the gold back, desperate to keep it. He succeeds, but JJ barrels into Barrys house and robs him. JJ manhandles John B a good few times for trying to stop him.

And nearing the end of this, he's told by Ward that Ward knows about the gold, and wants John B to give it all up.

John B says no. He's gotten this far and can't lose it all to Ward. Not only that? But he finds out Ward had something to do with his father disappearing. That sort of news is heartbreaking. John B snaps just a little more, but so does Ward.

Episode 8:

John B and ward get into it. Ward is messy and doesn't hesitate to try and kill John B while they're on the boat. Again, for the 7th time, John B is almost killed, but escapes it just in time to keep going.

He goes to Lana, who explains that Ward was the one who killed his father. He finds out now that the man he trusted and the man that took him in both wanted to steal from him, and murdered his only parent? That's too much to carry for any one person.

Ward tells authorities John B tried to kill him, and he's being hunted down even more than he was before.

He sees now that again, all of his friends are both worried and angry with him. He's panicking at this point. He's stuck on the run and can't seem to catch a break, more so now that Ward figured out where the gold is, and sees him trying to leave with it.

Episode 9:

John B now is framed for the murder of Peterkin. He's almost killed by Rafe at the runway, and is now on the run again. He's facing major charges and none of them are of things he actually ever did.

John B has no choice but to run away from the OBX, from the US< and try and figure out what to do with himself from there.

He's almost killed by Rafe, again, because he set the bell tower ablaze.

But he manages to escape long enough so everyone can put together the pieces of his escape plan.

Episode 10:

He leaves. He leaves with Sarah on the boat, but of course, power has to go back on, and they lose their cover. They're both hunted down, chased out to sea, and is considered dead because of the storm. He survives again, but just by the skin of his teeth.

Looking back on everything that happened to him just in these episodes, on top of knowing he had to deal with his father being gone for months without a clue of how to take care of himself, plus the fact he's now headed for his gold without anything but one bar and the clothes on his back?

John B quite literally lost everything. He lost his family, his home, his friends, his job, everything that kept his head above water, yet, he's expected to be the strong one, and the leader of the group.

He has expectations that he cant meet, and he's getting the wrong kind of help for his issues. Depression, anxiety, trust issues, abandonment issues, and I wouldn't be surprised if various forms of PTSD stemmed from everything that's happened to him. In no way is John B a perfect person. He is a flawed and complex character, who made poor choices, and acted out in bad ways, but, the entire gang is guilty of doing some bad things too.

JJ's aggression and lack of impulse control.

Pope's passive aggression and constant cold shoulder to not getting what he wants.

Kie's hostility and lack of self restraint.

Topper's sexism and abusiveness.

Rafe's drug abuse and abusiveness.

Again, you are so more than welcome to dislike and like whatever characters you want! Though, I hope this point of view can help clear up some of the thing's ive seen on John B being irredeemable and a bad friend to everyone.

John B is a wonderfully written, intense, lovable character, and I wanted to share my thoughts on him, his trauma, and his life! If anyone wants to see more deep character analysis', don't be afraid to request them! I enjoy doing them!

Drama with TDP... Again

Quick Edit: I am NOT choosing sides. I am still open to any and all information. I am simply giving you a side of a story I believe plays some part in all of this. Do with it what you will. I am going to continue doing what I have been doing since the beginning until more information presents itself. If Aaron is bad- He will be dead to me and I will advicate for his immediate removal within the prefession as well as protection for these girls. Justice. If the girls are lying- I will continue to support Wonderstorm and keep doing what im doing now without much change.

If you come to me aggresively, I will not aknowledge you, I will block and move on. Though I will still answer questions and take in any information with an open mind and a calm tone. Secondary Edit: I realised some of my times were off and a helpful anon was able to present me with a more accurate timeline. Ive copy and pasted their message to me so that you can have the accurate times. Please be aware of this before reading the post below. Listen, at the end of the day you will choose your ‘side’ though I wish there was no need for sides.

This drama that is appearing all over twitter is OLD NEWS. Danika and Lulu DO NOT and HAVE NOT worked at Wonderstorm since this all went down a year ago.

Here is my take on all of this:

A year ago, I believe it was April? There was a very popular blog called Ask-Aaravos-Anything. This blog was liked and followed by a lot of the fanbase. Well, out of the blue there were accusations of AAA child luring, having NSFW material littering their blog and not taking into consideration the younger fans.

Now, anyone who actually interacted with this blog knew all of that to be absolute lies. AAA was always very traight forward, took everything into consideration, repeatedly reminded us to be mindful of how we tag things and never had actual nsfw materials on their blog.

At the time Danika was managing the tumblr tdp blog. Danika DMed AAA and was vile and aggressive in her messages, enough so that AAA deactivated shortly after. You can still find some of the screenshots of the actual DMs as well as some DMs of AAA conversing with others about what happened and how they had felt about it and why they were deactivating. Soon after AAA’s deactivation, we got news that Danika had been scolded for her actions (As the entire fanbase who knew what was going on got up in arms about it) and she suddenly, convenietly had ‘another better job oppertunity’ And shortly after that we began to hear of general workplace harassment and gaslighting and sexual harassment from Danika.

As you know, that brought everyone up in arms once again and there was discourse. Then her friend, Lulu popped up as well with the same talk of harassment and having to deal with a negative work enviroment. Being in this industry for one is absolutely grueling, its not for everyone. It can be as bad as being in the film industry with actual actors.

Eventually things simmered down and life moved on.

Both Danika and Lulu have had an ENTIRE YEAR to talk about this, to continue pushing the issue, to continue speaking of these issues- they were fine speaking of it last year. Yet they remained quiet for all this time.

Now, when season 3 is about to drop, when Netflix likes to cancel shows, at this critical moment- they suddenly both pop up again? Neither of them work there anymore, this shouldnt be an issue for them anymore. Especially when they had ALL THIS TIME to talk of it. Yet they didnt.

And in regards to Danika stating they already had season 3 ready long, long ago- I have been in this industry briefly and I know people who are still in it, thats not how these things work. I doubt they were done months and months ago and were just sitting around doing nothing. Animation takes time- I wont get into it but its a lot.

Now listen.. As hard as it might be to swallow, we DO NOT know all the facts, only what we have been told by Danika and Lulu. And with Aaron refusing to make any statements or even acknowleding theres anything going on its hard to gather any real information- and we wont. We will not get anymore information, we will not get any more facts.

Unless authorities are involved or someone brings in a hidden camera into the studio, we will never know what the actual truth is. If it comes out that the girls are right then I’ll eat a spreader bar.

But I am going to continue supporting TDP and those who are part of this creation. (I dont care about Aaron, I care about the animators, voice actors, sketch artists, ect) I am going to continue posting content, continue writing fanfic, continue interacting with TDP related blogs.

Because I find it VERY suspicious this crap pops back up right now when its been so silent for an entire year.

If you couldn’t tell already, I already am wary of these girls because of what they did to AAA and the community at the time.

I refuse to be a mindless follower, I will not take sides until there are actual FACTS presented. I know this all sounds harsh, but I am wary of trusting anything spoken without proof. I have proof- just look it up, the old screenshots are still floating around. Im a assault survivor too- I am in full support if this all comes out to be true- and Ill eat that spreader bar.

I just thought I would put in my two cents and let you all know what originally went on, and why i am suspicious of this all flaring up again after being silent for so long. I will not be speaking of this again, nor will I be posting another big post such as this. However I will answer any questions you may have on this topic. Im not bashing on the girls, I am simply wary of believeing anything they say after what they did to AAA.

Keep strong...

I've had this message on my board all week. So I must of looked at it more than a dozen times since then. What does it mean, what am I trying to say? I stare at it, percrasting not putting laundry away, but washing the floor instead. I struggled with it, the grammar and text of the sign. Should it "be strong" or "stay strong"? Why did I decided in "keep strong" versus "be strong"? Strong can refer to physical and mental strength. Staying with the program that's the "keep" part and the "strong" part is not giving it up for good.

At my worst, it was tempting to end it all. I also wrestle with cutting behavior and body numbness. It isn't easy being me. I know I can change and heal; I've done it before. I am strong. I overcame my dyslexia by the time I was 25. I have over came back injuries, 4 times now in my life and still healing from the last time. I was in a wheel chair for a year due to a frozen sciatica. Ive had successful shoulder surgery too. I gave up smoking over 20 some odd years now. I've survived and recovered from a nasty divorce, lost business and financial ruin. I've also lost 200lbs and avoided diabeties. I thought I had seen it and done it all.

Now I'm a brain injury survivor with chronic pain and fatigue. I'll get through this and so will you!

Can you keep strong and have the ability to ask for help when needed? If you're an over achiever like myself, your pride takes a bit of a dip in having to ask. I know, it's hard to be the one needing help. Especially if it was the other way around before. Now it's time to get past it! It's ok that we need help with some tasks, and that there are things we don't know how to communicate. Then there's things that I can do that others can't. One of my best gifts is my creativity. I can make something out of nothing. Whatever a sweater boom there it is, a minion pinayta for a party, a desk organizer, a bird feeder; some people can't even visualize it, never mind create it. Even Greta Nuremburg speaks of her handicap as a gift. It let her cut through the bullshit to form a direct line to help climate change. There's a certain stubbornness that seems to develop with learning disabilities/brain injury/mental illness etc. For me I'm sure its a coping mechanism. Its my brain working out how to make sense out of all this data. It gets overloaded at the strangest times, it seems. Still lots of mystery in my head. As a person that has difficulties decoding, speaking and hearing, sometimes adapting means putting myself in the middle of everything. I need to arrange things so that I can understand and communicate better, which isn't always possible. I'm fortunate to have a person to help when I need to get groceries or run errans. I'm still too limited with my mobility to drive most days. For everything else I do more with less. I can't hear on the phone. Add accents of any kind to conversations like West Indian, British, French or German... It's the worst for me and then we play a game show called What did you say? I'll take M as in Michael please. I dont do phone calls on days that I'm not up to the task. Forget everything if I have a migraine or my pain is past 6 and I had a rough night. Phone calls, get them out and done first thing in the am. I don't play telephone tag either. When leaving a message state a day and time that works better for them to reach you. I do everything I can possibly do with text messages and email. I process information best like this, the written word. Yeah, I'm not much of a conversationalist these days in person, unless its 1 on 1 or maybe you need a monologue or speech delivered? While writing offers some communication relief theres still grammar errors and spelling mistakes, but more or less writing is stress free for me, even enjoyable opposed to trying to follow a conversation between 3 or 4 people and remember names.

On bad brain days all my disabilities can be too much; then with the chronic pain and fatigue on top of that? Just kill me now? Or maybe now? Screw going anywhere! Ever! It's a head in a jar rough day, my body doesn't respond well to anything. Walking and talking is over ratted at this point; all I can do is rest. I feel defeated by my own body. See you have to "Keep Strong" even when your body can't. So no deal, less urgent tasks fall to the wayside. Sorry I got to bail out on that date again. In the moment I just want to give way, let it all go and become a gelatinous mass that can ooze up and down the stairway, absorb nutrients by oozing on them and Ah...don't move just emit blob like behavior.

Recently I joined the local Chronic pain and fatigue organization, there is no brain rehabilitation in my area, so much for Medicare. I'm so grateful that this .org exists. It's great when I can get out to the activities. The Yoga, it was great! Low impact just what I needed. I was in bed for 2 days after that. This Thursday Yoga came and went with my sadness. I did my at home version instead. Today again is not one of those going out days. That's perfectly fine with me. I know when I'm not good with other people or getting around. There's no point in being angry, tired, frustrated and in pain.

So when faced with "keep strong" laying in my bed. I know that caring for myself is not giving in to limitating beliefs but allowing myself to becoming stronger in the long term by understanding and treating my physical limitations today instead of making like the other regular sheep. I still meet my short term goals on stretching, hydrating and eating well. The basic chores still gets done. You need to remind your self that resting is a part of the healing process. This part is about concentrating on my health and supporting my own recovery. No one can do that for you. Understanding our limitations is not a weakness! Adaptation by trial and error. What works, what doesn't and concentrate on what does work for you. Forgive yourself for not being up to task. I know it's hard to believe that it's is a gift. It is a strength and a gift to be able to face the tough stuff. We get to see the world we live in another way opposed to those entrenched in the rat race. It's not about fitting in society. It's about taking your space, finding your power and place; just as you are. I no longer feel that I'm missing out in life. I'm working on healing myself. I haven't lost the war, I'm just taking a breather. So go on ahead, I'll catch up eventually. This dang boulder won't stop rolling down the hill. Hold on, I'll go get another boulder to stop this one...

trying not to sound like a broken record when I say I’m working through requests currently, but it’s true! please note I am currently not taking any new requests as I am catching up on everything else. hope you enjoy :)

brief summary: rumours begin to spread that your boyfriend, David has been caught cheating on you

“David?” I call out as I close the front door, waiting for a response. Silence follows through and I take off my jacket, watching the creases form as it hangs on the rail. “Anyone?” Yelling now I await someone to make a sound, maybe Carly came over as she does now and then since I gave her my emergency key.

Heading into the kitchen I put the kettle on, listening to it rumble with life as I walk out towards the living room. Everything is just as it was left this morning, nothing has been misplaced or touched which is unusual.

I’m so used to coming in seeing the cushions being moved to one end so David can lean on them to edit, or cups being left out or snacks. But it’s spotless, too spotless for my liking.

As I go back to make a drink my phone pings, and I see a few messages from fans on Twitter. Usually, I try to respond to them the best I can, but since me and David got together a year ago it got too hectic to answer every single fan. Then the group chats started and I was added to those. Eventually, I just had to mute them all.

Well, all except one. It’s a group of girls who really support each other, share life advice and ask me like I’m just another one of them. I’m not indifferent to them, and it feels normal to chat with them.

Opening the chat I see a series of messages saying the same thing. A few words stand out as they all repeat it back and forth, tagging me in these messages with urgency.

‘fuck david has been seen with another girl’ ‘david cheated on her? no dont say that’ ‘hes holding her hand girl I cant say its harmless you know’ ‘does Y/n know?’ ‘shes bound to find out, I mean just look at these pictures....’

I try to find some sense in these messages as my heart beat increases, my fingertips shake as I scroll down and see a few pictures. He’s with someone else, they’re in a cafe I’ve always wanted to go to with him. I can see in these pictures he’s laughing, smiling and holding her hand across the table. She’s pretty, hell she’s beautiful.

My phone slips out of my fingertips and hits the laminate flooring. I leave it there as I look straight ahead at our dining table, a place where we sit and eat together, where we talk about our future together. Together.

I remain silent, still. It was something I had never anticipated hearing, it was one of those things I heard about other people but never contemplated being in their shoes. It happened to my friend back home. I was there for her during her heartache, through all the tears and anger. But not once could I imagine being in her shoes, feel her rage or how her heart was falling apart just like that.

But here I am, looking at a series of photos of my boyfriend, someone I’ve dedicated the best part of the past two years to. One year working on our friendship as it blossomed into the second year of an actual relationship. And now, it’s all gone over a series of photos showing me evidence I never wanted to see.

Sitting on the sofa I look directly at the TV as a show plays. I can’t tell what it is, my mind has shut down so all I can see is peoples faces as I remain unable to take in who they are, what show this is or why I’m even watching this.

Behind me I hear the door unlock, my ears perk up to the sound and I take a deep breath. “Y/n? You home?” He calls out, he sounds too sweet. So unknown to my knowledge of this all. I don’t dare move, I continue to stare at the TV in the darkness, the screen illuminating my dead expression. “Why is there a suitcase packed in the hal-”

Before he can finish he must see me, sitting still, ignoring him entirely.

I’m not sure how to react. I’ve had hours now to think this through, but the only logical thing I could think of is to pack a bag of his things. Let him have something to take and then come back for the rest when I’m not home. It would be civil, I wouldn’t get angry. I would let him walk out and never come back.

“It’s yours. I packed it for you, save you staying any longer since you clearly have other places to be.” I state bitterly, not turning to acknowledge him in the slightest.

His footsteps move with eagerness as he blocks the view of the TV from me. Instead, it glows around him like he is some angel, how ironic. “What’d you mean? What’s going on?” He asks with too much confusion, he never was the best actor.

I sigh loudly. “I know what you’ve done David. I’ve seen the pictures of you and that girl.” I stand up and begin to walk away before the tears build in my eyes and anger rises through me.

Before I move too far his hand grabs a hold of mine, turning me to face him. His face comes closer to mine, his arm resting on mine lightly. I try to avoid his face as I know it’ll melt me, I’ll forgive him too easily. “Y/n, I have no idea what you mean.”

Pulling my arm away I feel the anger pulsing, I grab a hold of my phone from the kitchen and throw my phone to him. I head up the stairs and slam our bedroom door, sitting in front of it so he cannot come in. “Y/n?!” He yells as he marches up the stairs.

I can hear him breathing heavily outside of the door, and then him slide down.

He’s resting against it, the thin wooden planks of wood keeping us seperated. Probably for the best at this rate, I can barely look at him.

My knees are buried into my chest as I try to control my emotions, hide the pain into anger. “How can you explain that, David? Who is she?!” I call out, sarcasm dripping off of my tongue.

“She’s no one. I knew her back from Vine. We, we met for a drink and she tried to make a move.” He began and I kept my guard up, I could see myself opening the door and seeing him apologise, but I shut that thought out as my back remains against it. “What you can see is me trying to gently turn her down, tell her how much I love you. This was way back when we first started dating, baby. I was with Jason all day. He can verify this.”

I rest my head against the door as the tears fall down my face. “I, I don’t know David. It all seemed so real, the look you gave her. Do you have any idea how much this hurt me?” I cry out and I hear him rise to his feet.

“Y/n, please open the door.” He calls out softly. “Just let me hold you, I cannot fathom how much I love you, how much I care about you. There is no one else I’d rather be with. No one can take your place, ever.” Slowly I rise to my feet weakly and reach down for the doorknob. “Just let me in, give me a chance to just show you, just trust me, please.”

Opening the door hesitantly I see his face in the slither of light coming from our window. His face is damp like mine, and he half smiles when he sees me.

His arms are instantly around me, engulfing me tightly. “I’m never letting go Y/n. Not for anyone or anything.” He kisses my neck lightly. “I promise.”

HAIR COLOR. as dark a brown as you can go without it being jet black. because there’s no ‘hair style’ / place for me to describe her hair i also have to say that her hair is chopped very messily - she usually does it impulsively / herself and then gets it fixed up so, realistically, not as bad as it could be. she’s got bangs + layers and the length is a little below her shoulders, barely long enough to put up but she manages it, somehow. i think soon she’s gonna go even shorter so stay tuned for that EYE COLOR. very light brown SKIN TONE. so pale it’s been joked about her being see-through. looks ill. might be. anaemia might factor into her consistently pallid state. burns, doesn’t tan. i also need to mention the abundance of freckles she has on her face, arms, chest and back :3 BODY TYPE. pretty small, but soft around the middle. no curves whatsoever and prefers it that way. she runs often to calm herself down / channel anger + other unpleasant feelings so she’s got a runner’s frame + strong legs ACCENT. sounds like she might be trying to unlearn a southern accent, which is very strange, because she lived in minnesota until she was 11. has absolutely no trace of that accent left VOICE. soft, hesitant, like she’s afraid you’ll actually hear her if she speaks. she thinks it’s noticeably deep, but it isn’t DOMINANT HAND. right. Coffee-crush

Notes: ANOTHER THOMAS SANDERS ONE-SHOT! WOOOO! based off of that one post about Anxiety, Logan, and Morality all being employees at a coffee shop and Prince giving them super hard orders and they hate it. ( @deafinatelyfangirling im tagging you because you liked my previous one and my other aphmau fanfics even though you dont understand anything about aphmau)

Word Count: 938. About 300 away from my normal amount of 1,300.

Warnings: none unless you dont like tea :T (i don’t lol)

“It’s that time again,” you stare at the clock above the door, warning your other employees. Well, not warning, but more or less stating a fact. They groan and turn to the clock.

“It’s too early for this…” Dad, as everyone calls him, sighs. He was here before you even started working at this shop, which has been about three years.

“Agreed.” Another one of your co-workers stands by your side. He’s named Logan, which is pretty close to his attitude. He looks like one too; glasses, and confident pose, and a neat personality.

Then there’s you. Everyone calls you Ann, because no one knows your real name and you prefer it that way. You don’t like your real name at all, so you keep it hidden. Anyway, you are pretty much the exact opposite of Logan. Pretty lazy, and you don’t have a care in the world. You don’t want to work here, but you gotta support yourself somehow. Any good paying jobs won’t take you because you haven’t worked in forever, so you decided to go back to your roots and become a barista and Starbucks. Why? You don’t know.

The bell at the door snaps you out of your thoughts. The others drop to the floor, hiding and linking to your legs.

There he comes in that lofty way of his… strutting down the ‘catwalk’. It’s not really a catwalk, it’s just a dark green carpet. He has been doing this ever since you started working here, so you have had to deal with this complicated order forever. You have it down by now.

“The normal?” You asks, grumpily staring at the other. You believe his name is Roman, but you never pay attention because you are a salty, stubborn, butt who just wants this guy to stop being such a douchebag and giving you hard orders.

The male, dressed in a red and yellow jacket, places his elbow on the counter. “Actually, I want something different this time,”

A groan comes from under you, and you twist around. “One second,” you give a bright smile as you drop to the floor.

“Dad what the hell?!” you shout-whisper.

“I’m tired of these hard orders…” he mutters back.

You roll your eyes. “Get over it.” You quickly jump back up.

“Sorry about that, now what would you like?” you ask, trying to hide your bitterness as well as possible.

“Just a cake pop and whatever you wanna make. And you know my name by now.” He walks off. You swear you can see, even just a hint, of pink dusting his cheeks.

Dad and Logan pop up. “Did he… just let us go easy?” Logan asks, watching him go sit down.

“I think he did…” you trail off. You shake your head slightly, clearing your head of any thoughts. You start making the thing you know best: just tea and whipped cream. This has always been your favorite mixture, and even though it isn’t coffee, you’ll think that the customer will enjoy it.

“RAMEN!” you shout, Dad giggling a little. Logan is holding in a laugh as the brown-haired customer appears in front of you.

“It’s Ro-” he gives you a blank stare for a second before sighing. “You know what, I’m not even going to argue.”

You give him the same stare back. “Really? I miss the old ‘my name is Roman you butt’ argument.”

“Your name is Roman too?” he jokes.

Dad laughs, placing a hand on Logans’ shoulder, keeping him up. You twist your head and give a ‘shut up!’ look. He continues laughing anyway.

“No. It’s Ann. Now take your tea and go.” You hiss.

“Well, it’s good tea. I might get this tomorrow.” He smirks.

You hold your head in your hands. You were just planning on spiting him, but this idiot is just backfiring your plan! “Whatever. Now here’s your cakepop.”

“Thanks.” He smiles, placing a dollar in the tip jar.

Your mouth slightly opens in disbelief as you look in the tip jar, which was previously empty. It’s 12 in the afternoon, a blazing 90 degrees, and he normally gets coffee on these days but he just was expecting someone to give him tea? This guy makes no sense.

“Man, screw that guy, he’s so confusing.” Logan complains.

“Trust me, I’m trying.” You joke, sending Dad into another laughing fit.

“ANN!” Logan shouts as you laugh.

“What? He wasn’t rude, he just wanted tea.”

Logan shakes his head as he goes to the supply room. “Whatever.”

You and Dad continue laghing, and share glances throughout the day which reminds you of the afternoon. Logan just shakes his head and sighs as you two giggle. Roman comes in, gets his tea, and then leaves. It continues like that for a while, until you too really get to know each other.

You stride into work, Logan and Dad exchanging words. “What’s going on?” you ask joyfully.

“We know what happened,” Logan smirks.

“Oh my god-” You sigh.

“I never think what you said would actually happen,” Dad jokes.

You turn out of the entry way. “Nope. I came in just for extra money but then you dorks do this.”

“Ann!” Logan giggles. “Come back!”

“Nope. Nope, uh-huh, never.” You continue repeating, getting into your car and driving home.

You come back to work the next day, and the next day… and the next day… and they continue to bother you about Roman. The same question over and over again. It’s been that way since you had begun dating him, over and over again. It’s just the normal for you now.

I can’t believe it’s come to this but I must tackle MULTIPLE people at the same time.

Get ready everyone, this is gonna be a rough one.

From the OP, we have the following:

Miles and kerry stated that because of the tumblr fandom disliking the jaune arc they aren’t going to do arcs for other characters. Which when writing a story heavy series and trying to make it sound smart and well written is not an excuse.

Considering the fact that Ren and Nora, Weiss, Blake and Yang all had an arc, I have to assume that was a joke they made that you took out of context. maybe if I had a link or source to see for myself and be proven wrong otherwise but nope, no source I’ll just make my own assumptions.

So jaune a side character got little establishment and barely even stuck to it. (note the “This is all I ever wanted to be.” Yet neglected all study portions) and the actual 4 main characters of team rwby get no arcs cause people complained about jaune.

I saw Jaune slack off once in the entire series. That is it. And in that very same scene, Nora and Pyrrha were slacking off as well so it’s not just jaune. And consider the fact that Jaune in Volume 4 is constantly training as shown in Episode 2 of Volume 4 that is obviously not true that he hasn’t stuck to his character.

Also: Jaune is a main character. It has been confirmed by Monty himself that Jaune and his team are main characters. This is a GOOD thing as this means there is at least two male main characters in a female eccentric show meaning RWBY is officially putting in more effort to actually be progressive than most so called “progressive” shows.

And again: Weiss, Blake and Yang had arcs in this very volume so again, this seems like you’re just ignoring whatever you want to justify your hate to Miles, which puts your entire criticism at risk.

“You wanna elaborate on how ruby’s a tactician?” Miles: “Nope.”

Midn providing a link? Because otherwise, I can point out that RWBY devised the plan to kill the Nevermore in EPisode 8 so Miles SHOULDN’T need to point out the obvious to you. This isn’t Evangelion where symbolism and insanity runs rampant so there’s no excuse to miss points like this.

Lesser writers of a lower station than RT would be flayed alive if they gave that response.

I highly doubt that. That would just be looked over and ignored: you’re just being ind of nitpicky.

And insert a lazy gif here and that’s it for Sokumo. Result- Poorly made, relying entirely on the rwde audience having lot of hate for Miles.

Next up we have Sageyanna to tackle. Luckily this is pretty short.

Writers outside RT could be flayed alive because they dont get the Cultish RT Fandom Protection™ that MKG get.

Considering the fact that so many in the rwde tag twist their critics words to make them seem like the bad guys when they aren’t agreeing with them (myself discluded for obvious reasons) and you yourself have said that black people who don’t agree with you are coons as @mageknight14 can attest, your group has a much more cultish attitude than the main fandom which has evolved beyond that.

And that’s it. Result- Hypocritical.

Next up is someone named Xenodweeb...Yeah, the name doesn’t make sense to me either.

Like seriously, if Konami did this shit, you’d get like 10 #FucKonami News bits from Jim Sterling out of it and they’d feel the wrath of a dozen salty communities.

And Konami has about 100x the fanbase of RT so that just tells me that the rwde tag is toxic enough to account for 12 communities.

However, just because Takeshi0′s circle co-opted the fandom, all of this is suddenly above criticism and doing so makes you a “troggled pro-censorship SJW cuck.”

... All this tells me is that you have a personal grudge against @takashi0 and that you don’t understand that the fandom as a whole is pretty accepting of criticism. Also, rwde has had some very strong Radical Social Jsutice views in it to the point that they kind of mirror actual misogyny just in reverse, blaming guys for everything. As in, I hardly hear criticism about females in rwde. so he might have a point there. Dunno what a “cuck” means.

Result- bias accusation and fundamental misunderstanding of fanbase size.

like people already pointed out that jaune’s had too much screentime to miles. it was like during volume 2 or something, and miles and kerry said theyd work on that. lol no work happened and jaune ended up being the “And Knuckles” of the show and now theyre getting pissed because fans dont like it?????? miles and kerry need to hire some different writers

But they have. Jaune was written down to being a support character for Pyrrha in Volume 3 and has been written down as a support character for Ruby in Volume 4. He hasn’t had the focus of Volume 1 or even 2 in a long time.

And considering Miles and Kerry are the ones who made RWBY alomgside Monty and you demand they step down before they’re ready, that’s akin to demanding Burnie step down from RvB before his time: It’ll do nothing but damage.

Result- Ignorance of acknowledged and fixed flaws.

Next up we have Sageyanna in his new URL. Fantastic.

More like RWBY ended up being the &Knuckles. Jaune & RWBY.

To keep things simple I am calling the current car I have Car A and the new car as Car B. In my state and probably many others now as well, there are three License tiers: Learners Permit, Provisional Drivers License, and Full License. Learners permit is pretty much self explanatory, you have to drive with a parent/guardian only and must hold it for 9 months to get to the Provisional License in the middle which allows you to drive fully unsupervised after you turn 18 with many restrictions before 18 but still carries increased penalties(what they consist of I am not sure but they are nonetheless there only for Provisional Licenses) even after you turn 18, and then after you hold a Provisionals for 18 months, you can finally get a full license. Obviously not having increased penalties would be nice but I'm wondering if Full License status would also reduce insurance rates since it shows that you were able to hold a Provisionals for so long without moving violations and are therefore not quite as problematic of a driver as someone who has not yet passed the 18-month probationary period required for a Full License. Clarification on what a Provisional License is for my age(20): The Provisional License is for all intents and purposes basically the same as a full drivers license after you turn 18 with the exception of enhanced penalties for moving violations which remain possible until you get a full license. I'm just curious if there are insurance benefits that come with a full license as well or if, for some absurd reason, they still base it on the old learners-then-license system, and then they go up after you get a full license because they think you are suddenly unsupervised, which is not the case with a Provisional License moving up to a Full License.""
