The Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo Allegerita (GTA) was the competition version of the popular 105 Giulia coupé from 1965 to 1971. It was made for racing (Corsa) and road use (Stradale).

The coachwork of this great little Alfa above has the GTA silhouette with the addition of the wider GTA wings and the paint is finished in the classic Alfa Romeo Rosso. Further features include the GTA style grill and racing gold 15×8 inch GTA style alloy wheels, supplied by the Alfaholics.

Mechanically the car has been enhanced with a 2000cc engine giving this Evocazioné superior power and torque over the standard 1300cc. In addition, rebuilt twin Dell’Orto carburettors, with angled ram pipes, supply the fuel. A standard five-speed gearbox with drive through the 1750 Berlina differential. The braking system has been completely overhauled and includes four new calipers, while the handling dynamics are provided by Eibach springs and Koni Sport, adjustable shock absorbers on all four corners. If you’ve got the cash and a free space in your garage, this ‘prima donna’ is available at the showroom of Samuel Laurence in London.

SAN BENEDETTO – La città di San Benedetto del Tronto ospita, in uno dei suoi monumenti più significativi, la Palazzina Azzurra, con inaugurazione domani, sabato 8 dicembre 2018 alle ore 16, la prima personale in Italia dell’artista bielorusso Andrey Ostashov (Lida, 1970) dal titolo Tendenze orientali, presentata da Giuseppe Bacci e Dmitry Kazak e realizzata in collaborazione con l’Associazione Palmarte e con il Patrocinio del Comune di San Benedetto del Tronto.

Saranno esposte un nucleo di oltre cinquanta opere dello scultore Andrey Ostashov, contenente in sé la maggior parte dei proto stilemi della sua maturità artistica in un ideale percorso di ricerca che narra l’evoluzione condotta per mezzo dell’immaginario fantastico. Riconosciuto come una delle promesse dell’arte internazionale, stimato da numerosi colleghi artisti, più volte invitato ad esporre nei grandi musei contemporanei internazionali. Andrey Ostashov esprime un’anima congiuntamente antica e d’avanguardia, pragmatica e spirituale.

Il percorso espositivo si articola in nuclei tematici, che raggruppano opere scultoree che hanno gravitato attorno a concetti o che semplicemente hanno condiviso momenti ed esperienze, accomunati da affini sensibilità. A chiudere la mostra, l’opera Le Barche – Le Farfalle del 2018, dal peso di circa 200 chilogrammi, che con la sua fattura imponente e l’atmosfera magica segna un punto di non ritorno.

Sculture suggestive di una materia dove luce e oscurità convivono come un’evocazione poetica e struggente della fantasia e della melanconia dei suoi personaggi. I protagonisti del racconto di Ostashov vengono attinti da miti e leggende nordiche europee, miscelati con stilemi asiatici, tale da creare una particolare fusione di arte euroasiatica.

La mostra comprenderà oltre cinquanta opere; non mancheranno alcune delle sculture che hanno caratterizzato l’arte di Ostashov, come le celebre La pattuglia, insieme ad una selezione del suo vasto repertorio artistico anche litografico. Saranno presentati per la prima volta in Italia i lavori più recenti del 2018 ancora inediti. Nella serata inaugurale ci sarà l’intervento delle autorità politiche, la presenza dell’Artista Andrey Ostashov e la presentazione critica di Giuseppe Bacci e di Dmitry Kazak. La mostra rimarrà aperta fino al 9 Gennaio 2019, tutti i giorni tranne il Lunedì, dalle ore 10,00 alle 13,00 e dalle 16,00 alle 19,00.

Accompagna la mostra il volume Ostashov, un ricchissimo catalogo ragionato, curato da Arina Ostashova, concernente la produzione artistica con opere realizzate dal 2002 al 2017. Il mondo di Andrey Ostashov è il set visionario visitato nei fotogrammi di un lungo racconto cinematografico, i cui attori sono semplici presenze senza individualità e senza parte.

Nel suo altalenante mondo interiore e nella sua ricerca estetica rivelativa, Ostashov mostra di non precludersi l’anelito spirituale, di infondere alla sua ricerca un’apertura visionaria, di sognare un vissuto nella semplicità del cuore.

L’arte di Andrey Ostashov fa scoprire all’uomo la sua natura di viandante del tempo, di migratore nel deserto del mondo, di pellegrino verso le regioni dell’Oriente. Questo porta alla percezione della lontananza, della leggerezza, della fragilità, poiché la scena su cui si svolge il domestico vissuto è intristita di miti e leggende allegerita di fragilità.

L’artista bielorusso usa le tecniche più svariate e un linguaggio figurativo originale e personale per immergere la propria cifra stilistica, sobria ma potente in una dimensione quasi fantastica di sospensione e di incanto, dove il dramma è più accennato che realmente descritto.

Ostashov sembra, in qualche modo, vicino alla sfera del fantasy, con cui condivide la creazione di sistemi iconici provenienti da un mondo sotterraneo e immaginario, dove l’abbaglio si sostituisce spesso alla realtà e dove tutte le figure appaiono sospese tra il sogno e la visionarietà.

Un delicato misticismo viene simboleggiato dai personaggi tanto da far trovare i soggetti in atteggiamenti meditativi e spesso assorti. La trattazione del tema orientale crea ad Ostashov il presupposto per un’indagine della materia.
