what are some other nice moments from Rescue bots?
This show is loaded with them!!! :)
Here we go, some nice moments in Rescue Bots!!
I'm going to write this with the assumption that some people reading this may not have ever seen Rescue Bots or might only be somewhat familiar, as I realise the target audience skews much younger than most Transformers media does, so I'm not 100% sure how popular it was outside of that demographic in total.
Off the top of my head:
-There is an in-universe VR game called Element Quest that has a couple really good episodes, the design is cute and there are tons of meme references. Blades, at one point, goes "I used to like video games. Then I took an arrow to the knee." LOL
-I think it's cool how they actually do tie in their continuity with TFP's continuity. For example, "What Rises Above" (RB) canonically comes before "Nemesis Prime" (TFP), and this is directly referenced in the dialogue in TFP when Optimus says that he is late arriving to the base as he was exploring an underground energon deposit-- This is the deposit he explores with the Rescue Bots.
-THERE IS A MUSICAL EPISODE. IT IS EXTREMELY GOOD
-Woodrow Burns, the Chief's brother, is kind of an idiot asshole, although he's not actively malicious. But he is great with the kids and for whatever reason the only thing I can ever remember about this character is when he goes up to Cody after it's been a long time since he saw him last and says "You've grown a whole foot since the last time I saw you-- Now you'll need three socks!" IDK I just think that's a real cute dad joke thing to say to a little kid lol :')
-There is an episode where they explore the local folklore of Griffin Rock, and TL;DR the local lore is that their island is where literal griffins used to nest seasonally. So throughout the episode, there's this kind of vibe of "OK are these electrical magnetic pulses or whatever like a science problem or a magic problem" and it's actually a very cute and fun vibe, especially since Cody is talking about the lore in the first place as part of his work towards a Scouts badge and Blades is very cute in this episode, the bots are all like "okay magic isn't real but uhhh what if magic's real?" for a minute and it's great :')
-Doc Greene/Green creates a ton of fun science devices throughout the show, but the names of some are just so doofy and fun. I love the "Torna-Don't", which is a thing designed to dispel tornados. Of course. lmao
-All the weird small town local events are also very silly and cute, and weirdly realistic for those of us who are familiar with this kind of local event thing, lmao. One of my favourite concepts is one of what seems to be several crawdad-related festivals, in which there is apparently a televised crawdad race. It's a bunch of shrimps put on a tiny racetrack, like Olympic runners. LOL
-At one point, Blurr shows up, and when the Rescue Bots are trying to acclimate him to working with humans, Chase is like "Humans seem to have two genders, which are defined by how many cooties they have." This implies that as far as the Rescue Bots are aware, 1) cooties are real and 2) human gender is defined solely by how many cooties a person has, and not by anything else, thus leaving their understanding of human gender fairly open (and it is also clear they have solely learned about gender from young kids in a small town which is likely why they state there are two genders but then make it clear that gender is a cooties thing and not an inherently physical thing, which makes sense in context and is kind of great because it gives more leeway for gender diversity than I expected) and I love this a lot. What is human gender? Cooties. That's all. So someone with a particularly high number of cooties could be another gender altogether, because why not?
-There is a body swap episode, which treats us to Blades in Dani's body trying on dresses in her room. He picks an orange and white one, which matches his paint job. I also love this a lot.
-Heatwave is gruff as hell especially at the start of the series and constantly starts shit or perpetuates shit with Kade, which is super funny. Just this centuries old Cybertronian fucking with this doofus boy who keeps leaving donuts in his cab. God dammit Kade, lmao.
-There is an episode where Cody is aged up via Science Device, and we get to see an older Cody, who more closely resembles his father than his older brother does. It's cute that he'll look like his dad when he's older. :')
During this episode, he assists in a rescue, and the girl his brother has a crush on tries to hit on him, but he clearly doesn't get what's happening and thinks it's icky because of course he does, he's a kid. I just think this scene is handled well and it's cute that his reaction to being hit on is still "ewww girls" but his brother is still absolutely pissed off about it anyway LMAO like jesus Kade, relax
-Kade's mostly an asshole but he's shown to be a really good rescuer who genuinely cares about people, and he has moments where he really comes through for his family and realises on his own that he should shut up and back down on his bullshit, thus making him a better developed and more realistic asshole brother character than 99% of asshole brother characters in most shows. I think this is pretty solid because it does lead to effective character development here and there, and it makes his positive moments with his family and the bots that much nicer. :)
-Cody is such a good kid. He is often willing to give people or ideas a chance when nobody else will, and even though he's too young to actively participate in most missions, he stays involved by helping at their dispatch centre. He's a smart little dude, who has a lot of heart and a ton of potential. One of the few child characters in anything that I actually like, because I think they write him extremely well: He is young, but he is not stupid. He is not treated like an accessory or like the property of his family, he's his own person with a distinct personality within his family, with a reasonable amount of autonomy. And he's a person who is still learning and has valuable contributions while also needing guidance or support at times. 10/10
-Dani gradually gets better at helping Blades deal with his flight anxiety (and sticks up for him when the others might mock him a little for it), and this is not only inherently very nice and cute, but it also makes a lot of sense as she is a first responder/medic and we see her offer the same reassurances towards the people she helps to rescue.
-The writing for the Burns Family in general is some of the best family group character writing in anything tbh, they handle the family dynamic so well in this show, and it's extra cute as the Rescue Bots all learn a lot from observing how the family takes care of one another and the townspeople they rescue. :')
-Blades has anxiety. I also have anxiety, so I am biased and clearly love this dude, lmao. He's so fucking relatable and even though sometimes the others rip on him, it is clear that they're also very proud of him for trying his best to deal with a situation which for him is particularly difficult (he was forced to take a flight capable alt-mode when this is something he is explicitly not comfortable with) and his team mates do support him, even though Heatwave is a douche sometimes (although it is clear this is usually due to stress or something else and that the actual problem isn't Blades). Over the course of the series, Blades does develop a little more confidence, and it's very cute and nice to see him puffing himself up a little more. :)
-The overall attitudes the bots have towards humans in this show is sweet. It's clear they don't really understand humanity or humans as a whole, but it also doesn't really matter because they are so specifically oriented to their local population on the island and their focus is a relatively small community of humans. They take their duties seriously and will protect this population, even if they don't really understand the people outright. They gradually start to respect the locals (and the Burns Family) more and more as they work with them, and get acclimated to Earth. They love their dumbass weird little humans :')
This leads to a lot of fun shenanigans with the bots not understanding things, or only understanding things as they have been explained by the children, which is hilarious.
-There is an episode where local thieves steal Chase, and inspired by Cody's school drama project, he decides to go undercover after watching a bunch of old detective movies. This includes him narrating things to himself, which he is called on when Dani enters the garage and asks him "Why are the lights off? Are you talking to yourself?" lmao
-Although it isn't explicitly canonical, it's easy to interpret both Chase and Blades as being neurodivergent. Both of them display various behaviours and traits which can potentially be understood in this way, and I'm just glad that there's a show for kids where two of the main characters, who are rescue workers, are shown to be competent and skilled at their jobs and accepted by the community for who they are while also being neurodivergent. <3 It's such a good vibe when the other characters support or defend these two in particular, especially when Chase or Blades might be confused or upset about something. Chief Burns is especially great working with Chase.
-Any episode where Optimus shows up in Rescue Bots usually has some gems of cuteness/silliness. The Elvis line still takes me out, LMAO. "You're bigger than Elvis!" "I have not met this Elvis, and I am unaware of his size." 10/10 writing, I fucking love Rescue Bots
-The bots constantly call out a bunch of details that are entirely appropriate for robots from space to notice and recognise as somewhat weird, whereas a lot of the human characters are so used to 1) being human and 2) living on this incredibly weird little technologically advanced island that nothing really phases them anymore. So we can actually identify more with the bots at time, despite the fact that they are also providing an outsider point of view, which is really clever! :)
-The theme song is a fucking banger. It's so good. I love this song so much. I wish we got a full version of it, but this is the best extended version of it that I've been able to find. Enjoy!!!
-There's a lot of fairly adult stuff in the show, more than I think people realise! The tone can never get too dark outright as it is intended for young kids as the primary demographic, but there's a lot of situations, conversations, etc. that are genuinely engaging and interesting from an adult perspective, which is a large part of what makes it a great watch for all ages.
Some situational examples include scenarios where children are imperilled in natural disasters, accidents, even kidnapping at one point.
Non-kid related situations include risks and threat to civilians from AI development and the dangers that uncontrolled or poorly thought out technology can cause or exacerbate, which is significant in context and also interesting to think about given our current relationship IRL with rapid tech development and concerns around how that technology is being made and applied, either in reality or in theory.
Some dialogue examples include scenes where the bots mention their grief over being unable to save Cybertron, a sense of guilt that they were in stasis for so long even though this was beyond their control, awareness that they may be the last Rescue Bots team in operation on Earth or anywhere else in the universe (a sense of loneliness and a responsibility as the last upholders of their specific creed), struggles with their sense of duty and concerns around their ability to fulfil their expectations for themselves and meet the expectations of others while rising to the demands of their unique situation, and so on.
--
this is already pretty long lmao, there's a ton of stuff I really like about Rescue Bots, but I hope this might encourage others to check out the show if you haven't before, it's well worth a watch! :)

you had to convince him to sit down and play with you
he never got the hype
but he’s a sucker for you so he said he’ll only try it “for a few minutes”
you two ended up playing for 4 hours
you had to explain a lot of things to him
guess who fought off the mobs when night fell? hint: it was you.
he probably accidentally hit you a lot when trying to play
wants to start a new world whenever he dies
when you finally manage to establish a base, you literally sigh because it took soooo long
tsuki basically turned vanilla minecraft into educational edition
         ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
"if you build eight units that way, and I build six units that way— ”
“units??? tsuki you can just call them blocks.”
“yeah, yeah whatever,” tsukishima waved you off from where he sat at his bedroom desk.
so you two went through with tsukishima’s plan and finally, you had a shelter. you let out a breath of relief and allowed yourself to fall back onto his bed before gluing your eyes back to your phone screen. you placed down some torches, a crafting table, a furnace, some chests–the base essentials. when it came to the beds (you had both of your beds because you didn’t trust tsukishima’s in his inventory since he died so much), you placed them right next to each other.
you laughed to yourself at your witty sense of humor. tsukishima suspiciously side-glanced at you and you put your phone down temporarily to touch your two pointer fingers together.
“what if we keep our minecraft beds next to each other? ah hah hah, jkjk... unless?”
tsukishima just gave you a look, definitely a judging look, “what are you doing?”
dejected, you immediately sighed and dropped your hands, sulking that he didn’t get your reference as you picked your phone back up, “you’ll get it soon enough.”
“okay...?”
you both put your characters to sleep, with you still being giddy in your head that your minecraft beds were still next to each other.
“ugh, finally. i think I'm done for today, too,” says tsukishima. he sets down his phone and stretches.
“do you want to play again tomorrow?” you quickly ask.
“tomorrow? again?”
“well, yes... please?”
‘curse you and your cute pouty face,’ he thinks to himself as you try to persuade him with your bottom lip jutted out.
“... fine, but change the setting so that those blocky enemies stop bothering us.”

will gladly play minecraft with you!
he’s definitely played with tanaka and noya before, so you’re all set to start playing the rest of the day away!
his inventory end up so messy it takes a moment to find whatever he’s looking for
like, have you ever seen that one meme of that horrendous hotbar? yeah that kind of vibe
sometimes he forgets to make his character eat something until he’s literally losing HP
“wait what? what’s hitting me? y/n is that you? there’s no enemies around...”
“what’s your hunger bar at?”
“... oh, hehe”
other than that, you work together as a great team
he’s not that bad at combat, he’ll make sure yall have enough food and resources...
mining though,,,, yeah good luck
the ambience sounds scare him sometimes
you know, the sounds that go ‘eeEEEOUUH’
if he hears any rattling of bones, undead groans, or hisses of a green ticking bomb ready to go off rIGHT AROUND THE CORNER—
he’s running to find wherever your character is right away to feel safer
but after all the effort, you two get so excited about finding diamonds! omg the cutest bonding moment ever
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
“maybe we’re not deep enough,” you sigh.
“but there’s lava? aren’t diamonds usually near lava?” hinata sighs back.
the search for diamods is nearing a real-world hour yet both of you are still empty-handed. you branch off to a little molten orange puddle and start mining around its perimeter. alas, still nothi—
“Y/N! COME HERE COME HERE I THINK I FOUND ONE!” hinata yells and your character immediately darts to find his.
you move the screen’s line of vision and then you see it: that gorgeous diamond blue, with hinata’s character jumping for joy beside it.
finding diamonds in this game never gets old.
“AHHH!! SHOYO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? MINE IT!” you yell back. the smiles on your faces grow bigger and bigger for every blue gem hinata manages to get from the small bunch of blocks in the cave wall.
“eight! i got eight!” he announces.
you clutch your phone in your hands, satisfaction running through your veins, “that’s enough for a sword for the both of us! and a pickaxe!”
the both of you put down your phones for a moment to give each other a high five. it was a solid high five, too— you two were feeling ecstatic!
“do you think there’s more around here?” you ask. your voice resonated pure delight and excitement and hinata’s response reciprocated nothing but.
“maybe! let’s go find out!”
Tumblr media

he’s played a couple of times, but the times he played his “friends” just griefed his world to death
can we get an F in the chat
but lev trusts you, and he finds minecraft genuinely entertaining besides the fact, so yes, he will play with you
he makes you stop and look at how pretty minecraft’s sunsets and sunrises and basically the whole environment is
you two name all of your animals
“who should i shear? willy or maria?”
“greggory hasn’t been sheared for a few days, maybe he feels left out :(((”
“you’re right maybe he does :(((”
he’ll laugh like so much when you two get out of a fight with a skeleton so the arrows all over you are sticking out and “they make you look like a porcupine!!”
frames all “firsts” i.e. first notch apple, first diamond, first emerald, first enderpearl rest in peace all the cows that get killed to make those item frames
wasn’t really aware of the nether or the end so he’s very excited to make it there with you!
very helpful 2nd player and you two get there in no time!
but whenever you get there, the atmospheres of the nether and the end catch him off guard since the overworld is so like.... chill
then it’s like you get there, and a ghast is over here like ‘scrREEEEEEEEE’
you both know you’ve got each other’s backs though!
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
you two stare at the activated end portal in front of you, lava bubling beneath it, equipped to the brim. you always wondered why that lava was there.
“okay, ready?” you ask lev. you look up and he gives you a determined nod.
“let’s go wreck that ender dragon!”
and with that, you two jump in and your screens say the terrain is being loaded. then there you are, in the end—a snotty beige island of rock in the middle of a purple void.
“cool, huh?” you ask lev, but his eyes are only wide and focused on the screen. it was a whole new world to him. literally.
you go through the normal end procedure, finding your way to where all the enderman are walking around. it takes a little while but soon you’re surrounded in a crowd of the lanky mobs.
“THERE’S SO MANY OF THEM?” screams lev, who has only seen a few in the course you two have been playing that night.
“because this is their home, lev—”
“WHY ARE THEY ALL SO TALL,” he shrieks.
you can’t help but snicker, “now you know what it feels like hanging around you—”
suddenly, you hear the roar.

kenma first got him to play minecraft yeaaaars ago, no surprise there
when he plays now, he’s usually on servers a lot
if you ask to play minecraft with him he’d probably suggest going onto a server like hypixel or the hive first and foremost
if you also like playing on servers, you’ll soon find out he’s a pvp king  ahh scary
i’ll be damned if he doesn’t have those og minecraft pro gamer boy skins– you know the ones, you know what i’m talking about, i know you do
but, if you just want to make a world with him, first he’ll be so soft inside thinking about you two having a minecraft world all of your own
second, he’ll yell “OF COURSE Y/N!”
he tries really hard to tame cats if you ever come by them and gets super happy when he succeeds
he probably will tame a horse and dog too tho but that’s not relevant at the moment–
prefers strip mining than going through cave systems
calls gold “butter”  he was a skydoesminecraft fan i’m convinced he was
ends up finding emerald before diamonds and you both get completely perplexed on how or why
hates silverfish with every fiber of his being
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
“GODDAMMIT!” kuro yells as silverfish slithered and spread out from the stone black he had just broken.
“what? what happened?” you ask him, your eyes not leaving your screen. you run your character through the winding stronghold you two have stumbled upon in the last hour of strip mining.
and then you see them: silverfish.
“AH!” you yelp as before you know it, the little things are going after you, too.
you and kuro start aggressively tapping your screens trying to get rid of the small pests on-screen, annoyingly hissing and wiggling around. there was much at stake, since your spawn point was god knows how far and kuroo had some precious diamonds and emeralds in his inventory. you were sure you wouldn’t be able to save it all either, having some pretty good loot already filling up your own inventory.
with only a few hearts left each, all the silverfish manage to be killed, rising up into the air as puffs of pixelated smoke.
“that was,” you sigh with a low laugh, “thrilling.”
“why are those things even in the game? all they’re good at is being annoying anyway,” kuro shakes his head grumbles while healing up his HP. you’re pretty sure he doesn’t realize it, but he’s cutely pouting as he makes his character drink a potion of healing. he’s acting like a little kid.
“okay, mister. after you’re done with your little hissy fit, let’s head back up to the surface!”
Tumblr media

will he play minecraft with you?
is that even a question? YES
warning though, he isn’t against griefing
but he likes you, so you get a pass
but don’t be suprised if you find the gate to your sheep pen “accidentally” left open, or your crops “happen to” get trampled over
he doesn’t spare you his little troublemaking antics
but you like him, so he gets a pass
ok but his favorite wood is aca— sorry, acaci— guys i can’t even say it—
his favorite wood is ac*cia because “y/n, it matches my hair!”
i mean the man’s not wrong there, but still,
“no”
he prefers having donkeys as his steed instead of horses
he builds little novelties and small machines around your base, like cobblestone generators
or a minecart with a sheep in it that goes around a neverending track next to the nether portal
but the details aren’t all that important to discuss, right?
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
“tendo, why is there a horse bouncing up and down from that fence post in the air?” you ask. your character is standing still in front of the contraption, just looking up at the... thing. just, staring.
shortly, satori has his character join you and he stifles a little laugh, finding what he made a few minutes ago as funny as when he left it.
“oh, y’know. because it’s forever just bouncing around there like that,” he shrugs.
“did you seriously have us get a lead for that?”
“of course i did.”
“did you really have to put it there?”
“yeah—”
“OVER A LAKE?”

he hasn’t been able to play minecraft for a while, so he gladly installs it on his phone to play with you.
doesn’t like using violence that much, even if for mobs and bosses
with this mindset, it means he always goes mining immediately in a new world so he can find iron for shears.
he doesn’t want to kill any sheep to make you two beds in order to sleep through the mob-filled night.
the base he ends up building for the two of you is cute and has literal 8-bit cottage core vibes with the all game’s flowers planted around the place
he thinks the flowers that have come with the newer updates are fascinating and on top of that, spawn was in the middle of a flower forest
he got caught off guard by the bees though
“they put in bees but there still isn’t a cave update?”
makes a farm so you two don’t have to kill animals for food
if you get a brewing stand, he is full-on the potion and builder type player
replants the crops he harvests from villager farms if you happen to cross by one earlier on in-game
if it comes down to it, he will not hesitate fighting off the mobs for you
also will not hesitate to drop some food for you if you forgot to bring enough
very chill minecraft session, arguably one of the best kinds of minecraft sessions!
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
you two are comfortably lounging on the couch opposite of each other. you can barely sit still from the excitement of getting to play the best game ever your favorite game with sugawara.
“y/n, i’ve played a few times, but i’m far from what’s probably considered ‘good’,” sugawara admitted as you loaded up the world.
“suga, minecraft with you will be fine whether we’re playing like pros or beginners!” you reassure him.
“i guess,” he replies with a shy smile, “you might have to teach me the ropes of the newer things, though.”
“of course i will!” you almost shout back, very determined to have good-hearted fun with suga with nothing but good vibes.
the world finally generates on your screen and you’re in the middle of a bunch of flowers. you could never deny that although it was just pixels, it was truly so very pretty. besides that, your eyes were locked onto your phone, anticipating sugawara arrival. you’re pleased to see his character pop into the environment.
“okay! let’s get some wood, then we can start mining!” you say, uncontrollably smiling up at sugawara. he smiles back and soon you two fall into a comfortable silence as you gather resources.
after a few minutes, you see his character run up to yours. confused, you stop moving your character but then a flower of the valley is dropped in between your characters. you can’t help but ‘awwwe’ out loud and sugawara lightly laughs because of that,
“i don’t remember these being in the game, but i thought you’d like it. it’s pretty, like you..”

he doesn’t play many video games, but he knows how much you love this block game so he complies if you ask him nicely
it takes a bit for you to teach him what he needs to know, but soon you find it’s really fun playing with kageyama!
he does get pretty mad when he dies though........ ok but it’s funny
enderman and baby zombies make him angry as fuck
accidentally hits pigmen in the nether but still tries to fend them off
he inevitably fails and gets mad
it’s still funny
has one of those houses where you can see the different layers of just the crap blocks he didn’t need anymore that he used to build it
always wants to tame a dog as soon as possible when you told him he was able to do that
likes mining the most, but sometimes you two get lost
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
it’s been about half an hour when you and kageyama find yourselves lost in a minecraft cave. the torches you two had been placing weren’t doing you any favors, as none of them signalled any kind of distinct path back up to the overworld.
“maybe this way?” you suggest for the upteenth time.
kageyama shook his head, his expression blatantly frustrated, “let’s just dig up. we’re never going to find are way out like this.”
“but kageyama, ‘don’t dig straight up or down’! that’s literally one of the most important rules in minecraft, we went over this!” you whined to try and stop him. you had the urge to just punch his character.
“that’s a stupid rule then, because how else are we going to get out of here?” kageyama just shoots back at you. you really wanted to act on that urge now. curse his stubbornness.
as you predicted, those ended up being his famous last words, because after breaking a few blocks above him kageyama was greeted by the molten orange glow of pixelated lava.
“shitshitshitshitshitshit—” kageyama panicked as the slowly cascaded down.
you watched in twisted satisfaction as his character ran around trying to distinguish the fire that spread on him. eventually, you took out the water bucket saved in your inventory and put him out.
“the rules aren’t so stupid now, are they.”
“HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THERE WAS GOING TO BE LAVA RIGHT THERE?”

when you asked him if he wanted to spend the afternoon playing minecraft, he may not have looked like it when he calmly said “sure,” but he was happy as hell!
he finds diamonds effortlessly and concerningly quickly when you start up a world, he even has the coordinates for finding diamonds memorized
also has the most efficient way to reach the ender dragon memorized
you find out he’s a good builder too
he even kind of gets redstone, which is impressive in itself
while chatting a bit as you’re absentmindedly mining for resources, you find out he had all the guide books  ugh yes gotta love our gamer boyfriend
on servers, mc hunger games made him nervous :((((
bedwars tho? AHAHAH WATCH OUT he does the thing where he builds from really up high then drops a bunch of tnt on you then drops down to destroy your bed  sly mf
hints at wanting to play a build battle game with you in the future
        ⇩  ⇩  ⇩
“kenma! look at the greenhouse i made! we can grow crops and stuff now,” you tug a little at his shirt sleeve to get his attention. he hums and briefly side-glances at your phone before having his character move so he can see it on his screen for himself.
you look back at your own screen and his character is circling the small structure filled with crops and flowers. you hope he likes it. he built a great base for you two so fast, before the sun even went down in-game, and seemingly with such ease. it was the least you could do to repay him, albeit your skills definitely aren’t as honed as his.
“it looks good, y/n,” he says after a moment that felt like forever. you let out a breath you weren’t even aware you were holding. he continues crafting tools and armor inside your main base while you sit there next to him for a second, giddy from just that small compliment.
“really?” you ask, a big smile on your face. it ended up being more of a hypothetical question since he didn’t respond, focused on making his supplies. but you could see the small smile on his face.
“... maybe we can compare our building skills sometime,” kenma suddenly adds.
you gasp, “kENMA DO YOU MEAN,,, A BUILD BATTLE?!”
kenma lightly laughs, the sound making your heart do somersaults, “yeah, that.”

“PFFFT,” you were dying. no, not as in your HP was running low, you were just laughing at akaashi.
“Y/N? AREN’T YOU GOING TO HELP ME?” akaashi shouted as his character sprinted across the grassy plain. the iron golem ‘clunk, clunk, clunk’-ed with its big arms waving about as it chased after akaashi’s poor character.
“and what? put myself in danger? no! that thing will beat me to a pulp and i can not afford that!” you argue. akaashi can only let out a distressed whine in protest as he tries to swim across a river to escape the golem.
“haha! can’t catch me now... oh shit-”
the iron golem swims across.

you moved your character outside of the base to see the big bad wither flying overhead. the three-headed enemy begins to launch its explosove heads at everything in its path. items flew out of chests, small dirt and wood blocks lay helplessly on the ground, and both you and tooru are yelling from excitement, hysteria, and fear all mixed into one.
ah, the gifts minecraft brings to everyday life.
you end up luring it away to the nearby forest, but you realize quickly that you are way under-equipped for this boss battle. you and tooru both try your best, but you expectedly end up staring at red phone screens sporting a passive ‘you died’.
silence.
“are you mad at me, y/n?” toru asks and you can hear the guilt in his voice. you feel like throwing a nearby pillow at him, yet that tone he speaks in absolutely shoots through your little heart like a minecraft skeleton’s arrow.
you take a deep breath, “no, i’m not mad at you toru. we can always try again another time. but please listen to me next time.”
“i will! you call the shots for now on, as long as it keeps us from dying!” he laughed, and you couldn’t help but join him after the hectic experience you two just shared.

After the whole fiasco with The Flash and Zoom which left the former paralysed, you were the one who had to look after the citizens of Central City. And that also meant protecting them from Gorilla Grodd whom you’d found out was created by Thawne. But you and the rest of Team Flash had managed to send him to a safe place on Earth-2. And now you were dealing with a supposed meta who could control knives.
Just another day in Central City.
After sending the DNA off for testing and following a few leads, you clocked out and went to S.T.A.R Labs where you were eating Chinese with a quiet Caitlin.
“Cait, would you stop playing with your food and just tell me what’s up?” You said, putting your plate on your desk.
“I just feel really bad about Grodd. I feel like I betrayed him.”
“Hun, you’re a good person. And I believe, deep down, Grodd is good too but he was hurting people.”
“I know but I still-”
You placed your hand on top of Caitlin’s,
“You did the right thing, Cait. Besides, from what Harry said, Grodd’s practically living on Planet of the Apes.”
“Guys!” Cisco came running into the cortex.
“Do you just have a signal that goes off whenever I make a cultural reference or something?” You said, rolling your eyes.
“Ooo, what reference? No, not what I came here for.”
“Why are you here, Cisco? Aren’t you supposed to be on a date?” Caitlin asked.
“About that…”
The Flash ran into the cortex, holding Kendra, as Iris, Joe and Harry walked in after them.
“Flash!” You and Caitlin jumped out of your seats.
“It’s okay, guys.” Barry changed out of his suit. “She knows who I am. No thanks to Cisco.”
“It was an accident.” Cisco said, defending himself.
“I can’t believe that you’re the Flash. And that you work with the Flash.” Kendra said to Barry and Cisco.
You and Caitlin looked at each other in confusion.
“Uh, someone wanna explain what‘s going on?”
Cisco gave you the run down of what happened at Jitters and Barry showed you a knife the guy had had.
“Wait, I’ve seen this before.”
You put the knife under a microscope and inspected it.
“This is the same knife that was used to kill the men at the docks.” You typed on your computer and pulled up the weapon analysis, “Residue is a perfect match.”
“So it is the same guy?” Joe asked.
“Definitely. But there’s something odd about this particular weapon.” You said and Barry interrupted.
“You’re right. These blades are old, centuries old.”
“Do you have any idea why this guy would be after you?” Iris asked from beside you.
“No, I’ve never seen him before in my life.” Kendra said, confused.
“Well, he was certainly acting like he knew you. He kept calling her Priestess Chay-Ara.” Cisco explained.
“That’s Coptic.” Harry stated, his arms folded.
“You mean Egyptian?” Caitlin asked and Harry nodded in response.
Joe then suggested putting a detail on Kendra but Cisco disagreed and Barry decided that you should all go to Star City instead to get help from Team Arrow.
***
Whilst Barry ran off to go and get Team Arrow, you, Cisco and Kendra were at the Arrow cave where you were catching up with Felicity.
“I still can’t believe that you’re the meta who saved all those people on that runaway train.”
Kendra had now realised your alter ego and she was somehow more shocked at your revelation than at Barry’s.
“Oh, y/n’s incredible. She saved my life too. Death by 40 knives would not have been a good epitaph. Oh, sorry.” Felicity winced at her words and then the lift dinged.
“Saved by the bell, Smoak.” You joked.
The lift doors opened and Flash, Green Arrow, Speedy and Diggle walked out and into the lair.
“Hey, y/n.” Thea and Diggle greeted you.
You had met them when you visited a couple of weeks ago and you were becoming good friends with Thea.
“Barry, it’s so good to see you.”
“Good to see you, Felicity.”
Felicity and Barry hugged, then almost immediately, Felicity changed demeanour and hit Barry.
“How come I had to find out from y/n that Zoom broke your back?” Then she hugged him again, “I’m so glad you’re okay.”
“So this is what it’s like dating her?” Barry asked Oliver.
“More bruises from her than from Deathstroke.” Oliver quipped as he greeted you.
As you pulled away from the hug, you all turned to face Cisco and Kendra who were inspecting the Arrow cave and after Cisco criticised it, Team Arrow introduced themselves.
“Barry said that you need our help. Somebody very dangerous is after you.” Oliver said.
“Yeah, and I have no idea why.”
Kendra replied and when they asked what the guy looked like, Barry speedily sketched the stowaway’s face, which Felicity then ran through facial recognition.
Surprisingly, she found a photo of him from 1975, looking just as young as he does now. Then Oliver began to question Kendra and you, Cisco and Barry all called him out on his harshness but it was Felicity who got him to stop.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. We’re all friends here, right? So, why don’t we go back to our place and have some drinks, and we can talk?”
Felicity proposed so you all made your way to their apartment.
***
“I’m not changing my nickname. I like Speedy.” Thea refused.
“Are you familiar with my body of work? If you are, then you know I can come up with something so much better than Speedy.” Cisco persisted making you shake your head in humour.
“Why don’t you get a haircut? And then maybe we can talk about it.” Thea retorted, making you all burst out laughing.
“I think you’re just mad because my conditioner game is on point.” He responded.
“Oof, weak response, Ramon.”
“You’re meant to be on my side, y/n!” He said, outraged.
“Sorry, I know when to jump ship.” You shrugged as you took a sip from your whisky.
“I would like to propose a toast. I wish it wasn’t just the dark times bringing us together.” Oliver began before Barry interrupted and took over the speech, making you all laugh.
“What a guy. Steals my drinks, steals my words. As I was saying, it’s good to see everyone.”
Then you all jumped back when the mysterious man crashed through the window and into the apartment.
“I will always find you, Chay-Ara.”
Barry ran and gave Oliver his quiver which he loaded and aimed right at the intruder.
“Don’t move!” Oliver ordered.
“Then how will I kill you all?”
The man replied, throwing knives at you all which Barry was able to stop with his speed, but not before getting injured by a stray one.
Then a fight ensued between Oliver and the intruder as you helped Barry hide beside the couch. Oliver and Thea were each able to hit the stowaway before Thea shot him for a third time, causing the latter to fall off the balcony and somehow disappear from sight.
***
After the break-in, you all decided to go back to the Arrow cave, believing it to be safer but ironically, a man, whom you learned to be Malcolm Merlyn, broke in along with a group familiarly entitled ‘The League of Assassins.’
The former informed you that the stowaway was called Vandal Savage and that hardly anything was known about him causing an overwhelmed Kendra to walk off as Cisco ran after her.
As you all spoke for another few minutes, you were interrupted when Cisco frantically ran back into the cave saying that some bird-like man had kidnapped Kendra. Flash and Green Arrow went out in search of her and eventually found her, along with the winged-man, whom you had now got chained up in the lair where he was being questioned by you all.
He explained that he and Kendra were reincarnated 4000 year old lovers and that every time they lived, they were killed by Vandal Savage as their three life forces are tethered.
You all scoffed at his explanation, believing it to be false before Malcolm walked back in, corroborating his story with tales of a weapon known as the ’Staff of Horus’.
***
As Cisco tried to help Kendra figure out her powers, you, Barry and Oliver went back to Central City in search of the staff. But when you reached the St. Mark’s church, you found Vandal Savage was already there and was now in possession of the weapon.
You used your telekinesis to try and throw him back but he used the staff to make the church’s pews explode and Flash was just able to get you and Green Arrow to safety.
“We really need to stop that guy.”
“No shit, Barry.”
You breathed out as you hunched over, placing your hands on your knees.
After catching your breath, you straightened and looked at the wreck of the church, “Now what?”
“We bring everyone here. Us working together is our best shot.” Oliver stated before walking off to call Diggle.
***
Everyone was now in Central City at S.T.A.R Labs and you, Laurel, Barry and Oliver had decided to go to Big Belly Burger to get food for everyone. As you were about to distribute the food bags between the four of you, you all turned at the sound of broken glass.
You saw Vandal Savage and a few of his henchmen enter the fast-food chain. As Barry and Oliver kept them busy, you and Laurel quickly ushered everyone out of the back entrance and once they were safe, you both ran back to help the duo.
Barry was fighting Vandal Savage, dodging his knives as Oliver fought the armed gunmen. Then you and Laurel joined in; you helped Barry fight Savage by blocking the latter’s knives but after a few minutes of fighting, you turned and saw Oliver and Laurel surrounded.
You quickly disarmed the men by using your powers to grab the guns and throw them far on the other side of the room.
Savage then threw 3 knives, each one individually aimed at you, Laurel and Oliver. You were able to deflect all three before being caught off guard with another knife which you were just able to dodge, only being left with a small cut across your arm.
Then, a gunman grabbed a hidden sidearm, aiming it at Laurel, and pulled the trigger.
You pushed Laurel out of the way, and to the floor, causing you to get shot. Barry was about to run and knock the guy out before he and Oliver were thrown back by the staff and when they got up, Savage and his men had already disappeared.
“Y/n, are you okay?”
Laurel asked frantically and you groaned in response.
“Shit, that hurt.”
You moved to sit up before being held down by Oliver.
“Luckily, the bullet went straight through you but you need to stay down.”
“Oliver, I mean this with all due respect, but if you don’t stop holding me down, I will use my powers to make you.”
You lightly threatened so Oliver removed his hands and Laurel helped you up and then you all grabbed the food and went back to S.T.A.R Labs.
“Oh my god, what happened?”
Felicity asked as the four of you walked into the cortex and you went straight to the med bay as Barry explained the situation.
Caitlin carefully removed the shirt you had used to stop the blood of the gunshot wound and helped you take off your thin jumper so she could stitch the wound.
When you were left in just your sports bra, everyone turned around to give you all some privacy.
“Guys, I really don’t care if you see me or not.” You joked, as you began to stitch your arm. “Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. It’s a through and through.”
“That may be so, but you need to stop moving so I can stitch this properly, y/n.” Caitlin reprimanded.
“Cait, my arm’s also bleeding, and since Cisco is practically useless in the medical sense and you’re sorting out my shoulder, what other choice do I have?” You responded.
“Fine but it’s gonna leave a scar.”
“Just another one to add to the collection.”
After stitching both wounds, you stood up, turning your back to everyone else as Caitlin handed you a jacket to wear as your clothes were covered in blood.
Whilst you did that, the rest of Team Flash and Team Arrow were stood in the cortex, watching you and Caitlin, and then Thea began talking.
“She has a lot of scars on her back.”
“I know, I thought the same.” Felicity said. “I haven’t seen someone with that many scars since-”
“Sara.” Laurel finished.
“Where did she get them?” Oliver asked.
“It’s y/n’s business, Oliver.” Barry said, defending you.
“Barry.”
They were interrupted when you walked out of the mini med bay and into the cortex.
“Call me if you need me.” You stated before walking off to your training room.
“Where’s she going?” Thea asked Caitlin.
She sighed, “She needs to blow off some steam. She’s beating herself up for letting Savage get one up on her. The last time someone attacked her like that, it was…”
Caitlin trailed off, not wanting to reveal your past to everyone else.
“It was what? What’s the story with y/n?” Oliver persisted.
Team Flash all looked at one another and nodded in reluctant agreement.
“You all know that y/n comes from the future but what you don’t know is that the future’s a horrible place where metas are illegal.”
“How’s that different from now?” Oliver asked Barry insensitively.
“Oliver, you don’t get it. Y/n’s been through a lot. Including the fact that when she was a teenager, she was kidnapped-”
“Kidnapped by who?” Felicity interjected.
“ARGUS.” Cisco answered, shocking all of Team Arrow.
“ARGUS? But Lyla’s-”
Diggle started before being interrupted.
“Yes, John, but the ARGUS from y/n’s time aren’t good. They experiment and torture metas…and sometimes humans too.” Caitlin interrupted.
“That’s how y/n got her powers.”
Laurel more-so stated than asked and Team Flash nodded in solemn agreement.
“I’m going to go talk to her.”
Laurel left abruptly before she could be stopped by anyone.

Coldflash one-shot - “Fatherhood” (Rated PG13)
Summary:
It's been six weeks since the arrival of baby Lisa, and Len isn't exactly handling things well. He seems to be pulling away from his husband and daughter, acting less like himself, and Barry is beginning to wonder - did they make a mistake bringing a baby into their lives? (2313 words)
Notes: So, I would put this at the super beginning of the series. Just a peek into where they began, and some of the issues Len had with the idea of being a father.
Part 7 of Father-hood
Read on AO3.
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“WAAAAHHHHH!”
“AAAAHHH! Barry!”
“What?” Barry grumbles, barely opening his eyes even though he’s wide awake.
“Your daughter’s up, and she’s calling you.”
“She’s our daughter. But if you want to get technical, biologically, she’s your daughter. Probably why she complains so damned much ...”
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“Ugh!” Len rolls onto his stomach, dragging his pillow over his head. “Why were we so flippin’ eager to bring her home anyway? The hospital staff had this baby care thing on lock. We could have gone back and picked her up when she was what? Three? Four?”
“Len!”
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“Or you know what?” Len continues. “Felicity’s her mom. Why can’t she take her for the night shift and we pick her up in the morning?”
“We have full custody! That’s how surrogates work! Besides, Felicity lives all the way in Star City!”
“You say there like you can’t zip over there in three seconds and back.”
“Not with Lisa. It’s not safe for the baby.”
“How do you know if you don’t even try?”
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“I mean, Cisco can just whip up a pod or something you can carry her in and …”
“Come on, big guy.” Barry gives Len a shove that about shoots him out of bed. “Time’s a-wasting.”
“What? Me?”
“A-ha.”
“I’m not even awake yet!”
“You’re talking to me.”
“It only takes half a brain cell to hold a conversation with you.”
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“You know the drill.” Barry climbs out of bed, dragging Len by the arm. “She either needs a change or a bottle.”
“See? You’ve got it all figured out.” Len struggles against Barry’s iron grip in an attempt to scurry back under the covers, but he’s not going to win. Regardless of his deceptively slender frame, Barry has that pesky Speed Force on his side. It may not be the same as super strength, but the way Barry manipulates it, it does tip the balance in his favor. “So why don’t you just have at it.”
“Because, Len. It’s your turn!”
“Oh, come on, Bare!” Len wrenches his arm free, but only because his husband lets him go. “You can run in there, change her, rock her back to sleep, and be back here in ten seconds flat. I don’t get what the problem is!”
“Because that’s not the way we should do it! It’s been six weeks already, and I can count on one hand the amount of times you’ve gotten up to take care of her. Waking up in the middle of the night is a pain in the ass, but it’s also important. It’s a chance to bond with our baby!”
“I’ll bond with her during daylight hours,” Len grumbles, staring wistfully at their mussed bed with its comfy sheets and blankets.
“Waaaahhhhh!”
“It’s daylight somewhere.” Barry puts his husband in a halfhearted half-nelson and leads him to the nursery. Len stops resisting. Better to get this over with so he can get his ass back to sleep. He needs about eighteen hours of it to keep up with their baby. That’s part of why he’s making such a big fuss about getting out of bed.
Having baby Lisa in the house, Len feels himself slowing up.
Len’s not an idiot. He knows he’s getting on in years, but he doesn’t want to admit it. Who does? Hooking up with Barry on the sly, and then marrying him, had been such an ego boost in that department. To have a man half his age want him made Len feel like a teenager again. And a superhero to boot? If Len’s head gets any bigger, he won’t be able to fit into his t-shirts. But whereas Barry doesn’t seem to ever run down, Len finds himself getting winded more and more every day. Len has spent the past few decades planning heists, running from the cops, fighting Team Flash, even rescuing the crew of the Waverider and multiple Earths from destruction.
It took becoming a father to make him feel his age.
“Waaaahhhhh!”
Three steps into Lisa’s room and the two men know exactly what’s bothering their baby.
“Phew!” Len groans, head jerking involuntarily to the side. “Good night! What have you been feeding her, Bare? Gravy?”
“Baby formula.”
“Is it expired?”
“No,” Barry says, offended, though he never thought to check. That can’t be the issue. He bought it yesterday. Baby poop just smells … a lot.
“Waaaahhhhh! Waa-AAHHHHH!”
Lisa’s wails seem to rise in pitch when her fathers enter the room. Len expects Barry to blow past him and rescue their screaming infant, but he doesn’t. Len looks over his shoulder at Barry, of absolutely no help whatsoever, then back to his daughter, miserable and probably as exhausted as he is, with a load of wet yuck stuck to her butt.
“She needs you, Len,” Barry whispers.
“I don’t see why when she’s got you.”
“She needs the both of us. And right now, you’re up. Do your thing.”
“You want me to steal her a diamond?”
“Change. your. daughter. I’m not letting you put a foot back into bed until you do.”
Len sighs. All he wants at the moment is to climb into bed and slip back into the open arms of unconsciousness, but his obnoxious husband won’t let him. Tomorrow. He’d be awake and raring to go tomorrow. He glances at the Strawberry Shortcake clock hanging on the wall. 2 a.m. He sighs deeper. It is tomorrow. “Fine,” he says, trudging toward the crib. “I’m on it.”
Barry leans against the door frame and watches as his adorably grumpy husband plods across their daughter’s pastel pink throw rug, gathering things he’ll need as he goes. Normally Barry would toss himself on the grenade and do it, but Len hasn’t been himself lately. He’s not quite as witty, definitely not as devious. He sleeps more than usual, he has no appetite, and he stresses over the tiniest things. Plus, his sex drive has gone straight into the toilet.
The first two weeks after Lisa came home, things went fine. They had a rhythm going. They traded off duties - Barry went to work at STAR Labs during the day and Len stayed home with the baby. When Barry came home, he took over with Lisa so Len could have some time to himself. Len has other pursuits. Team Flash and Green Arrow both pick his brain as their ‘resident criminal consultant’, but he said he was perfectly happy as a stay-at-home dad. They began to feel like real parents. But bit by bit, something in Len started to drift away. He didn’t always answer his phone, and Barry found himself racing home to check on him. Things would be fine when he got there – Lisa fed and content, the house generally clean, but Len …
Some days he’d be working himself to the point of exhaustion. Other days, he’d be staring at Lisa with an unreadable expression on his face.
He just wasn’t Len anymore.
Looking at the situation through the lens of a scientist, Len seems to be suffering from postpartum depression. It wouldn’t be too unusual. Paternal postpartum depression is rare, but it does happen. And Len has the classic signs. He’s irritable. He seems at a loss in his role as a parent, determined every time the baby cries that something’s wrong with her.
Or that she hates him.
He doesn’t show up uninvited to STAR Labs anymore, nor has he tried to break into The Foundry in weeks.
He’s been pulling farther and farther away from life as a whole.
Barry would welcome finding out that Len had PPPD. At least, if Barry knew the cause of his behavior, they could decide on a course of action – medication, meditation, therapy.
Whatever’s going on with him, Barry has been praying Len isn’t regretting their decision to bring Lisa into their lives.
“Okay, little bug,” Len mumbles, negotiating their daughter’s kicky feet and unbuttoning her onesie, holding his breath when he breaches the seal of cotton holding back the bulk of the stench. “Let’s see what’s going on … good Lord!” Len pulls a face, blowing a raspberry through tight lips. Lisa stops crying. She stops kicking. She stares up at her father with wide, wet eyes and an o-shaped mouth.
“You need to stop eating cement, girl,” Len continues in a softer, teasing voice. “We can pave the streets with this BM.”
Lisa waves closed fists. Her lips tremble. Barry takes a step forward, afraid she might burst into tears again, but she doesn’t. The corners of her mouth lift slightly. It’s not the biggest or the brightest smile. It could also be gas. But when Len sees it, his whole face lights up in a way that Barry has been missing for weeks.
“Yeah. You might have your Papa beat in the full of poop department.”
Barry’s smile drops when he remembers that Len refers to him as Papa in front of Lisa. “Hey!”
“There you go,” Len coos as he cleans Lisa up and puts a new diaper on, wrapping the old one and tossing it in the trash without looking. “That’s it. Nice and clean. Feels a lot better, don’t it?”
Lisa kicks her legs in response and Len chuckles, carefully sliding one leg at a time back inside her onesie. He buttons her up, then wraps her in her blanket, swaddling her meticulously the way the nurses at the hospital taught them. He considers her a minute, rocking her with his palm pressed lightly against her tummy, but then he picks her up and walks the room with her, swaying in a lazy two-step towards the rocking chair in the corner.
“You know, if you leave her, she’ll probably go back to sleep.”
“Meh, I’m already awake, and I don’t think I’m going back anytime soon thank you very much.” Len slides into the wooden chair, setting it rocking back and forth with his heels buried into the rug. Barry smiles, watching the loves of his life sit together in silence – Lisa blinking up at her dad with drooping eyelids, Len gazing at his daughter as if she’s the biggest payoff he’s ever scored.
“Feeling any better?” Barry asks, padding across the room to be closer to the two of them.
“A little bit … maybe. The jury’s still out.”
“You know, you’re really good at this.”
“You think so?” Len swallows hard. “Because sometimes I wonder if …” He stops himself short of spilling his guts and giving voice to every doubt he’s had since little Lisa came home. She’s nothing like his sister was when her parents brought her home, that’s for sure. Regardless of Lisa Snart now, Lisa as a baby rarely made a peep. Or maybe he’s just not remembering things clearly. A dark cloud seemed to descend on their house shortly after, one that moved into his brain, obscuring certain details he’d rather not relive. No, his boisterous daughter is nothing like his sister, name notwithstanding.
He just prays that, in the long run, he’s nothing like his father.
“Well, this daddy thing has its moments, I guess.”
“Yes, sir.” Barry bites his tongue. Close. He was so close. But whatever’s bothering Len is in there somewhere. And if Len wants to talk about it, he will. Barry just has to give him time.
“Hey, I know she just dropped a huge deuce, but do you think … she might be hungry?”
“I don’t think so.” Barry puts a gentle finger to her lower lip to see if she’ll suck, but she doesn’t. Her eyelids flutter shut. She takes a deep breath in, lets it out, and just like that, she’s asleep.
In under a minute, and with no Speed Force powers necessary.
“I’m hungry,” Len says.
And even though Barry is thrilled that Len’s hungry after days of living on pretzel rods and Near Beer, he recoils. “How the hell can you be hungry with that smell still hanging in the air?”
“I’m sorry. I can’t help it. My hunger knows no bounds.”
“Neither does this stench.” Barry yanks the waste basket liner out of the trash, eyes flashing with a thin thread of red electricity.
Len’s brows pull together. “What are you doing?”
“I don’t want this in the house.” Barry’s voice cracks, static echoing as he phases with energy.
“Shhh! You’re gonna wake the baby!”
Barry steps out into the hallway and closes the door. Even through three inches of wood, the room crackles with the familiar heat of Barry tapping into the Speed Force. The seam around the door glows with a bright orange aura. It blinks out, but a second later, it comes back, and Barry re-enters the room. He puts a white paper bag down at Len’s feet, taking a seat beside it on the floor. He opens it and reaches in, the rank odor in the room overwhelmed by the delicious scent of meat and onions.
“What’s that?” Len asks, staring at the bulging bag dubiously.
“A double double animal style,” Barry says after a bite. “You said you were hungry.”
“There aren’t any In ‘N Outs in Central City.”
“No, but there’s one in San Diego.”
“And that’s where you threw out her dirty diaper?”
“Yup. In the dumpster outside the 7-11 next door.”
“Don’t you think that’s overkill?”
“I don’t really feel like waking up in the morning to the smell of stale diaper, do you?”
“Fair enough.”
“Besides, you can consider it an apology for losing sleep,” Barry says, throwing his husband a wink. Len smirks.
“Well then.” He reaches down for his share of the meal, but he doesn’t take his eyes off his baby girl. Not for a second. “If this is the way night time changing duty is going to go, I’m definitely on board.”

Illuminati The Game Walkthrough
Tumblr media
Please, Don’t Touch Anything is a cryptic puzzle game developed by Four Quarters. You’ll be thrust in front of a little machine with a monitor and single red button. Can you resist touching anything?
There are 25 endings to discover and I’ll give you the complete solution to every one of them below. If you get stuck while playing the game look here for the Please, Don’t Touch Anything Endings.
The Secret World brings MMO storytelling to a whole new level by putting you and your friends smack in the middle of an exciting, overarching storyline filled with memorable characters and unique. Nov 02, 2015 PDTA: The Walkthrough. Thank you for staying with me, reading all my thoughts about PDTA. These are my compiled list how to unlock ending. This list isn’t finished yet. I’m still left with last ending before I’ve finished the game. Nevertheless, please enjoy my list and if you have any question, don’t hesitate to ask. In Illuminati, you increase your wealth and power to take over the world until only YOU reign supreme. Now, this classic game of conspiracy and world conquest has been updated to include current events and up-to-date references! Illuminati is for two to six players.
Ending 1: Peaceful
When you begin the game the guy tells you to look after the monitor for him. Be patient and wait until he returns without touching anything to complete the first ending.
As a side note if you wait a further three minutes before touching anything you’ll get the “Ergophobia” achievement.
The “Just Logo” achievement can be gained by going to the pause screen and clicking the button that makes up the O in the Please Don’t Touch Anything Phrase at the bottom of the screen.
Ending 2: Disobedience
You may discover a few other things before getting this ending but if you hit the Red Button 20 times. In this ending the machine will shut down.
The “Disobedience” achievement is gained from pushing the Red Button for the first time.
Ending 3: Mushroom Cloud
Pressing the Red Button will reveal a switch below it. Flick the switch to blow up the city in a great cloud of smoke!
Ending 4: Satanic
Press the Red Button twice to open the three-button panel above it. If you look at the Instruction Poster on the top left you’ll see on the right hand side of it some Roman Numerals placed vertically down the side. Imagining that they are horizontal will reveal the code (I III II II III I). Press this sequence into the Three-Button Panel, 1 3 2 2 3 1, to reveal a Lever.
Pull the lever to the left for a Ten-Digit Panel. Enter the code 8367 into the Ten-Digit Panel. This code is taken from the numbers on the top half of the formula on the Instruction Poster. Entering this in will reveal a Panel with Green Buttons.
Use the Green Buttons to make the points of a star, shown in the picture below for the ending.
Ending 5: We are Watching
Pressing the Red Button 15 times will reveal a Hammer. Grab the hammer and smash the monitor. The screen will break revealing a “?”.
Click on the Question Mark and the game will shut down. Look closely at the four corners of the ending screen to see four symbols you’ll need to remember later. They are the Timer, Eye, Waves and Key. Don’t worry. Restart the game to pick up where you left off. You’ll get the “We Are Watching You” achievement.
Ending 6: Back to the Past
Press the Red Button twice to reveal the Three-Button Panel above it. Type in the code, 1 3 2 2 3 1, to reveal a Lever. Pull the Lever to the left and a 10-Digit Panel will be revealed to the right of the Red Button. Look at the bottom half of the equation on the instruction poster. You have 8 squared + 3 squared. Don’t worry about adding this up just type in 8 2 3 2 into the 10-Digit Panel.
Typing this in will reveal a small display with the date and two arrow buttons, one pointing to the left and one to the right. Press the Left Arrow Button to go back to the past.
Ending 7: Back to the Future
All of the steps in this ending are the same as Ending 6, except that instead of pushing the Left Arrow Button you push the Right Arrow Button to see the city in the future.
Ending 8: Yin-Yang
After pressing the Red Button 8 times a Screwdriver will appear to the right. Pick up the Screwdriver and use it to unscrew the panel on the top right. Underneath are four coloured buttons.
Have a look at the instruction poster and read the second instruction. It says “GRBB Your Hammer”. Grab is spelt wrong and is actually a code for the colours. Green, Red, Blue, Blue. Press these buttons in order for the Yin-Yang ending.
Ending 9: Black Hole
Press the Red Button twice. Enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the Lever to the left to reveal the Panel with Green Buttons and the 1 to 4 Buttons.
Look at the ordering of the instructions on the Instruction Poster. They go 1, 2, 4, 3. Enter this code 1 2 4 3 into the 1 to 4 Button Panel for the Black Hole ending.
Ending 10: Bender
Press the Red Button twice. Enter 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the Lever to the right to open up the Binary Panel. Look at the Instruction Poster and to the right of the word “Work” you have a series of dots, some of them lighter than the others.
The light grey dots represent 0 and the darker ones 1. Enter this code into the Binary Panel. So it goes 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 for the Bender ending.
Ending 11: UFO
Press the Red Button twice and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Have a look at the arrows on the Instruction Poster.
You can see they point to the top left, top right, top right and top left. Enter this sequence into the Don’t Do It Buttons. So press the top left button, top right, top right and top left button for the UFO ending.
Ending 12: Meteors Drivers acer iconia tab a501.
This ending is quite tricky so get ready for a slightly longer puzzle than the others.
Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the lever to the left and enter the code 8 3 6 7 into the Ten-Digit Panel (This code is from the top half of the formula on the Instruction Poster).
Now we need to figure out the missing numbers in the third item on the Instruction Poster. If you want to get on with it the answer is 1 2 1 1 but I’ll explain the reasoning in the paragraph below.
This sequence is counting up how many ones and two’s there are. The first is 1 so there is one 1, or 11. The second is 11 so there are two ones, or 21. The third is 21 so there is one 2 and one 1, this makes 1211, and that’s the answer to the puzzle. To continue you have one 1, one 2 and two 1s, which is 111221.
Enter 1 2 1 1 in the 1 to 4 Button Panel to open up three musical notes on the left hand side.
Do you remember the recommendation to wear headphones while playing this game? You’ll need to hear the background music clearly because the music code is within the music. There are notes within the background music that sound exactly like the three keys you have hear. Listen for them and repeat them in your little keyboard.
The notes are High, High, Mid, Low, Low, Low, Mid, High. Enter these in for the Meteor ending.
Ending 13: Cthulhu
Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Press the Red Button another 6 times to reveal the Screwdriver. Grab the Screwdriver and use it on the little wires just under the monitor. This will reveal a Digital Display to the right of the Restart Switch.
Click on the Don’t Do It note a few times to lift it off, revealing the words Pisano Leonardo. This is a reference to Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci who came up with the Fibonacci Sequence. The next number in the sequence is the sum of the previous two numbers. It begins with 0 and 1.
Pull the Lever to the left to reveal the Ten-Digit Panel and then type in the Fibonacci Sequence, 0 1 1 2 3 5 8 1 3 for the ending.
Ending 14: Green
Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Turn the arrows on the Instruction Poster around so they are the right way up in your mind or on some paper. Now they point to the Bottom Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Left and Bottom Right.
Press these buttons below the Don’t Do It note. So that’s Bottom Right Button, Bottom Left, Bottom Left and then Bottom Right Button. This opens up a Counter Panel to the right and a strange D4 Box top right.
The Counter Panel has 2 7 6 written on it so press the Grey Button until the counter shows 2 7 6. Then press the Red Button on the Counter Panel for the ending.
Ending 15: City Boom
Randomly you’ll be given the opportunity to complete the City Boom ending. You can keep clicking Restart until you get it.
A plane will fly over the city. Press the Red Button to drop a bomb. With each fly over you get 4 bombs to drop and then 3 bombs and then back to 4 bombs and so on. You’ll fly a little lower each time. You must completely wipe out the city before landing.
When you land take notice of the completion screen. Certain letters are flashing, Y, R, B, B. You’ll need to remember them for Ending 19.
Ending 16: Alien Invasion
Press the Red Button 15 times until a hammer appears. Use the Hammer on the central Red Button to smash it. Keep smashing it until an Alien appears. Hit the alien and little pods will spawn.
Hit each of the pods three times then go for the central alien. You need to complete this mini game before the blood runs down to the Restart Switch.
At the end a screen will show with four symbols in the corners. Take note of these symbols as you’ll use them later on. They are they Eye, Key, Hourglass and Waves. The game will shut down. Just load it up again to continue.
Ending 17: Death Star
For this ending you’ll need to either wait until just before midnight or change your computer clock to about 11:59 and 30 seconds.
Press the Red Button 8 times until the Screwdriver appears. Use the Screwdriver on the Instruction Poster to reveal a weird clock. There’s also some notes here (B4, D1, D7). We’ll use these later.
When each of the hands reaches 12 the green light turns on. At midnight all hands will be pointing to 12 and all three lights will turn on. When this happens a Ticket will come out.
The Ticket will reveal the code to put into the Three-Button Panel. To figure it out count up how many dark squares are in each row and type this in starting from the bottom to the top.
My Example (x is the dark square):
o x o x
x o x x
x x x o
o o x o
x o o o
x o o o
Counting up the x’s on each row, from the bottom to the top, we have, 1 1 1 3 3 2. Your code will be different unless you get the same ticket.
Ending 18: 666
Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Press the buttons under the Don’t Do It note from Ending 14, Bottom Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Left and Bottom Right to reveal the Counter Panel on the right side.
Click the Counter up to 6 6 6 to reveal Pictographs. Click on all of the pictographs until only the four ones you have seen in previous endings are lit up. That is the Hourglass, the Key, the Eye and the Waves.
Once only the four pictographs in the image above are showing the ending will play.
Ending 19: Sand Worm
Tumblr media
Another tricky ending! Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the Lever to the left to reveal the 10-Digit Panel. Type in 8 3 6 7 to open up the Green Button Panel.
Do you remember the notes behind the Instruction Poster? They had D7, D1 and B4 on them. One is missing and that is F4. Press the Green Buttons, assuming A to F is from left to right and 1 to 7 is from top to bottom. You’ll need to press the buttons from left to right and top to bottom, just the way you write or it won’t work.
Once the five buttons have been pressed a D4 box will open, revealing a Diamond. Press the Red Button another 6 times to reveal the Screwdriver. Use the Screwdriver on the screws to the top right to open up the Multi-Colored Buttons.
Do you remember the letters that were flashing at the end of Ending 15? Y for yellow, R for red, B for blue and B for blue. Press the colored buttons in order to reveal a strange panel beneath it. It’s only half open at the moment.
Look at the stamps around the Don’t Do It panel cover. Reading from left to right they make the numbers 4 0 2 0. Press these numbers, 4 0 2 0 into the 10-Digit Panel to open the strange panel completely.
Place the Diamond in the right section of the strange panel and click the button on the left for the ending.
Ending 20: Stanley
Randomly when you complete an ending you’ll have the chance to do the Stanley Ending. The monitor will show “Awaiting Input”. Press the Red Button and then any other new Red Buttons that appear. Once you have done this six times the words will appear “Thank you for your cooperation. You got the job, S.”

Ending 21: V for Vendetta
By now when you flick the Restart Switch a little booklet should be showing in the bottom right corner of the screen.
This is a passport. You can either accept or deny entry. Click on the Red Button marked X to deny entry.
Ending 22: Crack in the World
Press the Red Button once and a faint grey arrow will show to the right of it. Click the area next to the grey arrow to reveal a little Red Arrow. Follow the path of the Red Arrow to reveal another one. Keep clicking and revealing the arrows until a Green Panel is revealed.
When the Green Panel has been revealed you need to click on the buttons until the entire panel is yellow. Each time you click on a button, it and the surrounding buttons turn on or off. Start in one of the corners and keep going until all buttons are lit up.
Ending 23: Pluto
There are two sections to this ending. The first is getting the code you need. You’ll then restart and use the code in the second part.
First Section: Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the Lever to the right. Grab the little Scanner located at the bottom left of the machine and use it to reveal some numbers next to the closed panel with screws. See pic below.
The numbers will show:
0-23
1-4
2-1
The numbers on the right are the positions and the numbers on the left are the values. So in position 2 and 3 the value is 0. Postion 4 has a value of 1, and position 1 has a value of 2. This gives us a sequence of 2001.
Restart the machine.
Section 2: Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the Lever to the left and enter the code we just discovered, 2 0 0 1 into the 10-Digit Panel. This will reveal a lock mechanism. Turn it until it displays. PL U TO. Press the faint button underneath to reveal a Key.
Press the Red Button 6 times for the Screwdriver and open the panel with the multi-colored buttons. Press Red, Red, Red and Red to reveal a Key Lock.
Use the Key on the Lock to complete this ending.
Ending 24: Morse
Press the Red Button three times and enter the code 1 3 2 2 3 1 into the Three-Button Panel. Pull the Lever to the right. Use the Scanner over the buttons below the Don’t Do It note.
You’ll see the word “Morse” between them with arrows pointing up and down. Use the Scanner on the Don’t Do It note to reveal three letters DOT. Turn this into morse code and type the answer into the Binary Panel.
Using a morse code translator you can find that the word Dot translates to “-.—-”
If a dash is 1 and a dot is 0 then we can translate Dot to 1 0 0 1 1 1 1. Enter this into the Binary Panel for the ending.
Ending 25: The Coffee Machine
Once you’ve completed 24 endings and restart the machine the guy will return and tell you it’s a Coffee Machine. Now when you hit the Red Button a cup of coffee will appear. You can sip on it while watching the ending credits.
Congratulations on making it this far! Watch out for more gaming walkthroughs soon.
We Are Illuminati is a new conspiracy-themed clicker game for the iOS and Android platforms by clicker magnate Tapps Games. Your goal in this game is to brainwash as many followers as possible using various means such as controlling corporations, planting fake news, and making friends with the reptilians. You can convert people into lackeys, buy all sorts of upgrades, and rack up an insanely huge list of followers. Read on for some tips and tricks for We Are Illuminati!
Keep on the lookout for all of the bonus rewards that pop up. Some are limited-edition and some are always available. What’s always available is the double-follower boost, which is activated by tapping on the little clock icon in the lower-left corner of the screen. When the phone icon pops up in the top right corner, tap it and you can earn some free gems or a time warp for free by watching a video ad.
When you get far enough into the follower earning, you’ll be able to prestige and convert followers into lackeys, which give you a permanent percentage boost of 3% each, so once you get up to 1,000 or so, you’ll really begin to notice the difference. If you’re still making easy progress, though, don’t prestige right away. Wait until you get as far as you can without being able to make much good progress, and then prestige so that you can max out the lackeys.
You can then spend lackeys on other upgrades, such as multipliers to the corporations or even to all businesses, and upgrades to how much of a bonus each lackey is worth. Before doing this, though, make sure you’ll have enough lackeys left over so that you don’t accidentally tank your bonus. Generally, you shouldn’t spend more than 1/5 of your lackeys on any one upgrade.
Don’t forget the regular follower upgrades, too. The managers, of course, will automate one thing at a time. The upgrades menu, which is in the icon next to the managers menu, will double the follower-gain of a specific area.
Illuminati The Game Walkthrough Free
Once you hit a specific milestone in levels, you’ll gain double as well. Every time you hit a level that’s a multiple of 25, your income for that specific area will double. Once you fill up your star count to 5 and then hit a multiple of 25 again, you’ll move up to silver tier (level 150 is when this happens). At level 300, you’ll move up to the gold tier. Level 450 will move you up to platinum.

An anon requested I made a gradient tutorial for GIMP, so here it is. I hope that some of you will find this useful since it’s a bit difficult to understand right off the bat if you’re a new GIMP user.
Things you need:
GIMP (Of course)
Eh. That’s pretty much it.
1. Open a new document. You can create another transparent layer too if you want your gradient to be on another layer so you can change the layer mode later on, etc. But for this tutorial, I’m just gonna show you how to make your own gradient!
2. Look at the bottom right of GIMP. You should have something that looks like this. It’s the gradient dock. Click on that. If you don’t have this, make sure your GIMP is on Single-Window mode (Windows > Check Single-Window Mode).
Tumblr media
3. Pick any of the default gradients. I suggest just picking the more simple ones that don’t have too many colors in it cuz we can always add some more. I’m gonna go with the FG to BG (RGB) one. Click on “Create New Gradient”. You can rename the gradient if you want.
Tumblr media
4. Now, you will get this whole shebang on your gradient editor tab. If you hover your cursor over this line, you will get the instructions on how to place and move the points.
Tumblr media
White Arrow: This is the midpoint arrow that you can move from left to right to define the sharpness of the gradient changing from one color to the next. For example, if I move mine a bit to the right, I would have more black and gray.
Tumblr media
Black Arrows: They are the endpoints that define the spectrum of the gradient from one color change to the next. You can’t really move them around now until you add more segments.
5. If you right click anywhere on the gradient tab, you will get all of these extra stuff and here are some that is more commonly used.
Tumblr media
For example, if I click on “Left/Right Endpoint’s Color...” I can change it.
Tumblr media
If you want to add more colors/points, click on “Split Segment at Midpoint”. If you want to add even more in between, you can click “Split Segment Uniformly” and put in the value of midpoints you want. But I feel the first option is enough to make a good gradient. :D
Tumblr media
How to have different colors (Rainbow Gradient)?
6. Now, we have 3 black arrows (endpoints). But whenever you look at the left/ right endpoints, you will be looking the adjacent black arrows. Click the bar in between the two black arrows. You will see that the segment is selected and other segment is not highlighted.
Tumblr media
Alright, so now when you are changing the left or right end points, we are only looking at the first and second black arrows. I hope this is kinda clear! It’s kinda hard to explain but when you try it for yourself, you will get it.
Let’s say, I will change my right endpoint to green.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time round, you can drag this end point of the segment.
Tumblr media
You can also move the white arrow.
7. Now, you may not want this sharp edge in the middle of your gradient, so here’s how you fix it.
Select the other segment and right click anywhere on the gradient.
Tumblr media
Instead of choosing a “Left Endpoint Color”, click on the “Load Left Color From” and pick “Left Neighbor’s Right Endpoint”. Left neighbor is the left segment and its right end point was the one we did just now, which was the green. Haha, I hope this isn’t confusing but basically just pick the color option that looks about right. LOL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And tadaa, now you have a nicer flowing gradient!
If you have messed too much with these and want to redistribute them all evenly, make sure both segments are selected by Shift clicking on them. Then right click and pick “Redistribute Handles In Selection”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, use your gradient tool and click on to add a starting point and drag and click for the ending point and you will get your gradient.

Here’s a just a reference of the names of the parts in case you’re lost:
