PLEASE speak abt the parents Beryl Tristan and Esperanza 🙏 🙏 🙏
Ok outside of firmly believing that those parents HAVE to be legacies (esperanza ESPECIALLY or at least she saw thru the mist) I'm just gonna blab about an AU that makes me laugh. The way I spent 30 mins writing this instead of my finals...
Quick run down: the three of them were friends, tristan and beryl as childhood friends actually, and then they accidentally kill a man (monster)
Beryl:
Grew up poor in a small town, "trailer trash", extremely critical alcoholic mother. Dad left when she was a kid. Had an older brother who left as soon as he could and never calls
Enjoyed watching movies and tv to imagine a better life she can live in
Nerdy as hell in school, wore the biggest glasses in the world. Had a huge crush on tristan for YEARS, especially when he got hot in high school, but liked him before too
Esperanza
Has the sight, can see thru the mist and it scares the shit out of her. Part of why Rosa thinks Leo is fucking devilspawn cuz Esperanza thought she was seeing demons. She moved around a lot growing up because of that fear, but also Hazel's curse
Kinda a rebellious punk, wildchild younger sibling. Her and Rosa are CONSTANTLY fighting
She moves into Tristan and Beryl's town in high school, after her mom died.
There's a satyr and demigod in her class. She doesnt think too much of it. Her teacher is weird....
Tristan
Kinda geeky, has 5 siblings but never talks about them too much. Was always a very sweet and quiet kid. Childhood friends with beryl, also poor too
Super into Ezperanza because she's different. Even when she's weird and mumbling about being chased she's still sooo cool compared to the town they're in.
Okay so now that they're in high school... I think this would be the early 80s 🙂 they essentially are together in a rag tag group, lost trio style, until they see a demigod getting attacked. Tristan hits the monster with his car. The 3 of them are HORRIFIED because they killed a man, but Esperanza keeps talking about monsters and explains it. The demigod's satyr is fucking young Hedge 💀 he's shit at his job so he just tells them about demigods and stuff.
Beryl is slowly ENAMORED by this. Starts drinking from this event but she is DELIGHTED by the idea of a new better world out there. Ezperanza feels like SHIT! She thinks this is all her fault and she's cursed. Tristan is going CRAZY, racked with grief. He is not doing well at ALL!!!!
Anyway they go to college with this in California together, mostly out of being closer but also fear of this secret (dead body) weighing on them. A few more monster and minor god encounters. Eventually, Hedge has to mist-wipe Tristan's memories because hes going crazy, which causes Hedge's issue with the Council of satyr elders or whatever. Idk its in the books lol. But this causes them all to separate and go their separate ways when Tristan can't remember the other two.
Beryl drops out of college, and gets scouted as she is waitressing. Has her big break, goes onto TV and gets famous. She begins to forget some of the little things about how much the demigod world is HORRIBLE. Once, she meets up with Esperanza and they stumble into a minor god, which makes her remember how much she wants to be in that world. She meets Zeus at a party :) and thinks he's charming and powerful, just different. It reminds her of the monster experience. She fucks that man obviously. Desire for something different to her shit life. She is CRAZY!!! 🩷
Esperanza goes to New Rome Uni because i luv that place idk if they allow mortals but she will!!!!! Because she goes to that fake school, no mortals really take her degree seriously which is why it was harder for her to get a job. Never taken seriously. She heads back to Texas eventually. She know he's Hepaestus when he approaches her at a library, doesn't like the idea of getting involved with that god stuff. Still falls in love. When her great grandfather falls ill (Sammy) she demands hepaestus to stay with her. He doesn't obviously, but he promises to come back, if not for her than for Leo. He has to. He doesn't.
Tristan doesn't go to college, he just works at like, fucking Hollister or Abercrombie because he's hot now. He meets Aphrodite a few times but she's busy and he doesnt give in. Eventually they meet at the beach surfing and she's like "I've been trying to get your attention for a while now"... She doesn't tell him she's a goddess but Tristan kinda has a familiar feeling. He's forgotten what it was but she just feels different. When piper grows up, aphrodite sends little gifts to "her favorite heartthrob" and he just gives it to Piper.
......
Anyway it was just putting little seeds together + being crazy. Beryl and Esperanza sometimes still talked. They met once when they were pregnant and talked about their kids playing together. Esperanza, seeing theu the mist, had an idea that Beryl was fucking a god, but its not like she has high standing either. Beryl and Tristan bumped into each other with their acting careers, but Tristan doesnt really remember Beryl the way he should. Esperanza and Tristan have some kind of twisted relationship I fear of will they, wont they with Beryls jealousy 🙄 such it is. Naturally the same with Beryl and Esperanza 🙏

hiii hiiii !! ^_^ i'm here to ask about spn women >3> rotating them in my mind sooo hard and i wanna hear your thoughts on legit any of them if that's okaayy!!
any thoughts on bela? :> i love her dearrllyyy and i wish she'd been brought back at least once even as a demon!! thinking of writing au fics for her and anna bc my godddd they had sm potential T_T jo and cassie and ava too
and also also do you have any sapphicnatural ships? i get if shipping's not your thing but thought i'd ask ^3^ llyyyy!! ♡♡
- @deadgirlsam ^_^
hello sweetest lauren !! hehe i'd love love love to give my thoughts on themmm they probably won't make a ton of sense since i'm tired rn and have trouble remembering lots of details but that's okay LOL i'll just blab heheh
ALL THE THOUGHTS ON BELA !!! i love her so so sooooo so much !!! she was suchhhh an amazing character and GOD THAT WOULDVE BEEN THE BEST TO SEE HER AGAIN i think it would be SO interesting to see bela as a demon that's such a good idea!!! i loveddd seeing her in every episode, i loved her attitude and her wit and the times she was vulnerable and i loved that she was unapologetic!! i genuinely just enjoyed watching her so much. and of course she's just gorgeous <3
and jo!!!! jo is one of my favorite characters of all time tbh. first of all i just have such a huge crush on her and always think about lesbian-winchester-sibling!reader x jo ughhhh. i mean she's just such a readable and relatable and real character to me. her want to prove herself, her desire to be seen as adult and able to protect herself, but the fact that she's just just young. they all were, and i appreciate the way that she portrayed that. i love her wit too and i want to kiss her so so so so bad!!! she's just sweet and badass and realistic and imperfect and selfless and flawed in such normal(?) or maybe relatable ways that makes her character very appealing to me i guess. and obviously she likes girls hehehe!!
honestly cassie feels like so long ago because of my horrible memory but i really really enjoyed watching her as well!! i would really want to rewatch the episode she's in and give my thoughts then tbh <33 wanna show the love to the fullest!! i loved how realistic she was too; she didn't just go along with what dean said about the supernatural and i liked to see her search for the truth about everything and find it on her own terms. of course that totally fit with her being a reporter!
ava!! suuuuch a good character and i think her actress pulled her off so so well! manipulation on point i loveee manipulative women hehehehe once again, season one is difficult for me to remember LOL but i just love the trope of the "sweet scared innocent" girl using that to manipulate and be ruthless. she was super interesting to watch, again, great acting! and once again, i'd want to watch her character more lol
and gosh!! i'd love love love to see anything you write for anna or bela omgggg <33
i'm honestly not a huge shipper, i don't mind it or anything, but it's not something i focus on or thing about a lot. obviously samruby is literally sapphic to me but i also love the idea of annaruby!! too too good i just love anna so much actually.
ilytoooo hehe <3333

hi marimoon ^^ saw your post from four days ago, and i hooe i'm not too late for this? ateez req incoming.
in honor of october (based off smth that happened this friday for me), teacher/employee reader and the guys preparing for kindergartners up til third graders going trick or treating tomorrow!! they probably planned matching outfits, some of them. hwa as toothless and somebody as light fury, for example. surprisingly i cant think of a specific member to pair this with? i just think its cute,,
just imagine these guys playing bits of the characters they're dressed up as,, aughh
pls take care of yourself!! missing u lots, marimoon
; 🌂
HELLOOOO you are absolutely not too late, though i am late to the whole october and halloween thing here lmao. was struggling with this request and i thought maybe my thoughts would flow better if i wasn't thinking of it as a formal request and just blabbed about it right here. but i adore this concept so i still wanted to write something about it and get something to you even if it's messy and possibly ends up incoherent :))
nonetheless, i hope you enjoy my word vomit because i truly do love this idea and you for planting it in my head <3 (only cw is alcohol mention, which has nothing to do with the children i promise lmao)
first of all i love this idea of this au where they're all teachers. given the kindergarten through third graders it's kinda perfect because each grade can have two teachers and they're like teacher pairs and it's cute and fun. and to add reader into this i thought it would be super cute if reader was like the school librarian and gets to interact with all the teachers and their classes. i was thinking about san and woo as the kindergarten teachers just because of how well they played with little arin and ayun. and then yeosang and jjong with the first graders just cuz i think they'd be so cute with younger kids but first graders are slightly less insane than kindergartners maybe ?? plus i think they'd be the funniest pair of teachers like i just adore they're dynamic and i'm just thinking about jongho turning all the children against yeosang and they just relentlessly tease him forever <3333 next up in second grade i put yunho and mingi and idk this is such a horrible idea like they would never get anywhere that classroom is just screaming and more screaming and the quiet kids are just like save us please :D and last but not least, we have seongjoong as the third grade teachers because i think they'd be the only one's who can discipline older kids and that hongjoong might die if the kids were even less mature that the third graders already are.
and then yeah, you are the school librarian (or some other staff member that frequently works with the classes but i'm just saying librarian bc i work at my school's library and what's fanfic without it being a self insert <3). and yeah you get to be besties with all of them because they're a whole big squad that kinda scares the other teachers but they kidnapped you into their group because you're just so cool and awesome and they love you and the things you do for their students <3
what they also love about you is that you love halloween and always help them prepare for taking the students trick or treating. i like the idea that all the pairs of teachers have a tradition of matching their costumes. and this year, it goes (mostly) great for (almost) all of them. the night before the event, the nine of you have a halloween party amongst yourselves, a tradition that started a few years ago. obviously, you all show up to seonghwa's apartment in costume.
this year, san and wooyoung have defaulted on onesie costumes, explaining that before, they had attempted to diy complicated anime character costumes. it was going well (or so they say) until yesterday when they realized they had neither the skills or time to finish the costumes. they are very pleased when you tell them you're a big fan of their matching kuromi and my melody onesies, and that you think the kids will also enjoy these far more than whatever elaborate plan they had before. jongho, on the other hand, is having a blast making fun of them.
and while woosan are stunning in their hello kitty costumes, yeosang and jongho are really vying for your favorite pair this year. though, it looks like yeosang’s thick biceps are struggling against the sleeves of his snow white dress despite his lovely features being complimented by the femininity of the outfit. jongho looks as charming (completely unfunny pun intended) as always in his prince charming outfit, ready to unknowingly continue stealing the hearts of all of his student’s parents.
yet, these costumes, along with yunho and mingi's, are causing a lot of noise because the tall pair of best friends showed up as a princess and his knight in shining armor. jongho is indignant, convinced that he and yeosang's costumes are far better. yeosang is drowning a bit in the shouting, but doing his best to defend himself when he gets the chance. wooyoung has told yeosang that he's a costume repeater because he played snow white in a play in middle school, but san thinks it looks cooler this time because of yeo's far bigger muscles. mingi says he looks prettier because his dress his pink and yunho won't really defend him on it, but insists that the costumes are different enough because he's a knight, not a prince (and that he's cooler for that same reason).
this time, seonghwa has chosen neither to be a part of the chaos nor to attempt to stop it, and is instead happily perched on the couch with a glass of wine because he is finally satisfied with his costume this year.
time and time again, seonghwa insists on dressing as toothless, convinced that it's the perfect costume for him. and time and time again, he begs hongjoong to be a matching light fury with him. and, you know it... time and time again, hongjoong has refused. he's offered to dress as hiccup, and maybe a different dragon, but he refuses to complete seonghwa's request. secretly, you think it's just hongjoong's way of getting back at seonghwa for the printer incident. but finally, seonghwa found a solution to make his dreams come true and just completely ditched hongjoong as his costume partner.
that is where you come in, sitting next to seonghwa in a matching light fury costume. hongjoong is actually still a part of this costume, dressed as hiccup so that the kids don't question him, but his part in this plan a bit irrelevant to seonghwa. he's just so happy to finally have completed this costume, and will not stop bragging about it to everyone in the room. he's told you that he won't allow you to be anywhere but at his side tomorrow so that he can show off your costumes, and you just nod along despite knowing that your job and large groups of children will certainly take you else where.
but aside from the fighting regarding jongsang and yungi's costumes, the night was lots of fun in which you all exercising your very special crafty skills that come with being elementary school workers. so there are so very adorable decorations that you'll set up in the morning tomorrow and another lovely set of halloween memories with your favorite people <33

💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍 (*holds the paste button forever*)
|| Time to talk about ships || @apocalypta-secundus ||
//Mila came in and left NO survivors, so now I'll proceed to not shut up!
Jewel and Kakos
OCxOC ship and both characters are mine. Their story is set in heavy themes of unbalanced power dynamics, PTSD, suicide ideation and attempts, domestic abuse/trauma, toxic love, murder attempts, and learning how to break free from that cycle. She dumped him in a fight where she severed his arm off. I could go for hours about them because they're rooted deep in one another and brought out the best and worst of each other, and those experiences eventually lead to the both of them getting help for their mental states. I don't forgive you but I'm grateful you were there when you were.
Jewel and Tetsuji
OCxOC ship and both characters are mine. Tetsuji was a fresh transfer from another division and he fell for Jewel right away, but she was still raw from her traumas from Kakos so she wasn't having it at first. Theirs was a slower build. They became friends first and through spending more time together and sharing things in common, Jewel softened around him enough to try a date, two, three... They got together but they didn't last. Jewel's power had increased to levels to where she was uncomfortable to touch for long or to have sex with (they're both sexual creatures so it was frustrating). Worst of all, she was repeating some of her abusive trauma related behaviors on Tetsuji and he wasn't having that. He dumped her in an argument. Jewel needed time to look at her actions and realize what she had done wrong, but when she tried to ask for forgiveness he wouldn't hear it. She knew she had lost something good. He was a genuinely good person. It was a reflective time for her. They eventually reconciled as friends. Then best friends. :')
Jewel and Grimmjow
CanonxOC ship and B O Y. I'd kill to have a partner to write this ship with. I have infinite muse for them. So many different ideas for a myriad of verses and AUs. Different dynamics. Plots. Art. Headcanons. My arsenal's overflowing with Them. I understand my open adoration of them may push some people away lmao but I just can't! Contain it! It's in my rules that none of my ideas are meant to force anything on anyone that writes him so I'm content to yell about them. I'd rather blab about them until my heart's content than hold it all in, otherwise here I'd be seven years later with no wall of blurbs on this blog or a ship pardner. At least I have one rn! I will say that I'm looking for key things with someone who portrays Grimm. Unafraid to be violent. Doesn't lean on 'cat traits' I see a lot in fanon (you do you if that fits your interpretation ofc!). Likes ladies lmaoo. And slow burn! They would take a fair bit of development to get to that shippy point (at least I feel that way. She's vibed with some Grimms in the past where they got on p quickly! So I don't rule that out.) Need a communicative partner (that doesn't mind plotting when needed.) I've yelled about them 23432t57823431 times but basically I'm super into them bonding as kindred souls that understand each other on an instinctual level, where they can 100% be themselves and not have to hold anything back. They're ride or dies while also not tying the other down. They're drawn to one another because the other's soul feels like home, maybe something else who knows. No one's eager to talk about it. Also I feel like even though they're both chaotic they bring out healthy traits in one another, even some subtle ones and that's juicy to me. I went ham on blurbing them here. Blurbs that link to more blurbs because my brain never shuts up about them. My brain's like: 'GrimmJe tho' and I'm like 'wow you're so right' single tear with feeling.
Jewel and Bazz-B
CanonxOC ship, with your Bazz ;D This one was all your fault, Mila!! Ofc after you brought it up to me it didn't take me long to see it. Fire and ice ship got me fucked up so they got their own verse. Here we are. Made me break my own shipping rules LOL. Glad I did because I adore them. Jewel finds him annoying but also endearing in some ways. He's a lil shit but not so bad that she'd toss him into a frozen lake probably. Given her past experiences (OC ships) she's unsure, but Bazz doesn't seem bad, minus them quarreling during the war ahem- but that was a different time. He's able to handle her coldness and zanpakuto, which is a huge thing to her. Skilled fighter. Difficult to defeat. A bit of a tease. Has nice hair? hello?? Gives her space but also enjoys her company. He has her interest. They're a ship that's a wip, but as of now they seem to have no problem hitting on each other. Jewel especially acts brazen at times. sorry if she comes off Strong at times tybw jewel loses fucks to give and it stays that way onward hwfweioifw There's a hesitation in Jewel here though. She wonders how he would perceive her in her most feral state, the worst rotting frostbite on her, just all the 'ugliness' of her out in the open. She has a better hold on her reiatsu and blade, but that old battle worn state of being can still resurface and make her look like a walking corpse skeleton. She's like, 'hmm that'd suck if that ran him off but this is fun for now, maybe he won't be bothered when he sees it. it is what it is.'

Beast Wars AU idea
with my transformer blorbos that I haven't chucked into Beast Wars yet.
---
So as of current I only have one OC in Beast Wars that's been cybertronian-ized to fit another au (*cough cough* the cybertronian au. wowie, who knew). That oc would be Titania, or "Nightraider", who has the capabilities to transform into an Argentavis, a Xenosmilus Hodsonae, a Direwolf, a Titanaboa (haha. Titania-boa), a Kaprosuchus, and a South-American Gray Fox!
But I also came up with something for my other transformer ocs, Quartzstreak, and Ace with the inclusion of my newest additions Breakflash (and Spade), and Deepslate!
I considered Quartzstreak being either a barn or snow owl due to her role as a sniper and referencing it off of Ana from OW. They're incredibly elegant-looking and dangerous! So I thought it'd be perfect for them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, next on the list is Ace! Ace was a bit more difficult to consider since there was an incredibly vast variety of options in the carnivore category to just pick and slap onto Ace as a beast mode-- but then it hit me. "Why not go the opposite direction and aim to give her an herbivore instead of a carnivore?"
So that's exactly what I did! I've decided to choose for her, a tusked wild boar as her beast mode. I was-- also very influenced, by the design-idea of having to draw Ace with tusks in and out of beast mode. Plus, boars by themselves are still dangerous even if they are considered as a prey by a wide range of creatures. I'm even considering to amp up her size in her beast mode to make her appear more intimidating (once I get to the process of making the art for it) and giving her a smaller group of boars that follow her around-- because why not? I think she deserves to have a non-talking travelling group, as a treat :)
Tumblr media
Now-- for my newest boyos, Deepslate and Breakflash (and his drone, Spade).
For Breakflash, and also since aquatic animals are an open option for beast modes (thanks, Depthcharge). I've decided to make Breakflash a black marlin! Plus, with his weaponry being mainly a sword, it works out (and also because Breakflash enjoys speed, under any conditions, in the water, air, land, you name it. But for now, we'll limit him to the water)! And his drone buddy could be a remora!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and for Breakflash's boyfriend, Deepslate? hm. None. No alt mode. This man is entirely fueled by strength and spite (and perhaps stupidity). He'll be stubborn for a long while in considering even thinking about getting a beast mode. He just believes COMPLETELY that he could fight any predacon or maximal in beast mode, hand to horns, teeth, fangs, claws, you name it. Even with the limit of Energon exposure. He is just TOO much of a stubborn bastard. But once he does come around to it and gets completely tired of having to pass out mid-fight or anything. He'll go for a Sarcosuchus Imperator. Big croc, for a big bot. Plus, he'd rather stay as close to Breakflash as much as he can, so having an alt mode that can swim would be good enough for him, even if it's not as fast.

Yoongi gladly sent you his address upon your request and the time to come meet him. 7 o’clock in the morning.
Your life can be summed up in a hand full of chances, this is another one of those instances. The location you asked Yoongi send you was deep in a neighborhood of mansions, the homes had about a mile between them. This could be dangerous, he could be lying to you and just trying to lure you to his house. Normally, it takes a lot for you to trust a man and when you do, even then you hesitate. But for some reason, you feel like you can trust Yoongi.
When you pull into the driveway, you see a few luxury vehicles outside and you’re sure there are more in the garage. The home is sleek and modern, not as big as some of the other house but still bigger than anything you could afford.
“What are you doing...” You mumble to yourself, hopping out of the car with your purse on your shoulder. You weren’t sure how to dress so you went with a more casual outfit, nothing as fancy as you used to wear to the club. With shaky hands, you ring the doorbell and take a few seconds to breathe.
The door opens and your met with Yoongi in a similarly casual outfit, sweats and a sweatshirt. He opens the door wider, beckoning you to walk in, “Good morning, how was the drive?”
“It was good, a little far from where I live,” You hesitantly walk inside as he shuts the door behind you. It takes a moment for you to say anything because you can’t help but look around in awe, it’s beautiful.
“Can I get you anything? Coffee, tea?”
“No, I’m fine,” You sit on the couch, hands in your lap as you twiddle your fingers.
“So, what changed your mind?” He takes a seat in the couch across from you, coffee in his hand. “Last night, you had every excuse in the world, your boyfriend, we just met, I was sure I wouldn’t hear from you, not this soon at least.
“Well...” You sigh, “I quit my job last night.”
“Aw, for me?”
“No, not for you,” You roll your eyes, “there were rumors going around because the owner never liked me. I didn’t do it for you but when you tipped me $500, everyone in the club found out because because my boss blabbed...If I had stayed there, I feel like there would have been a target on my back. I’ve been wanting to leave for a while anyway,”
“Well, it’s perfect timing for me, if you’re serious about accepting my proposal that is.”
You take a deep breath. “I think I am interested and you seem genuine but marriage is a big decision, I want to be sure I’m not about to ruin my life completely,”
“The fact that you showed up tells me you trust me, at least a little bit,” He takes a sip of coffee, assuming its not the latter, “if you do accept, we’d have to have a wedding, as soon this month. You could have a little fun planning that because, before we get married, I need to have some things transferred over to me .”
“I get to plan a wedding?” You don’t know why the idea of planning a wedding is convincing you to actually do this.
“Yeah, does that sweeten the deal?” He giggles at your little girl like excitement, “you won’t have a budget or anything like that, you can go crazy, it’s my gift to you.”
“Wow…My family has to come, I can’t get married and my siblings not be there.”
“Oh, is that an ‘I do?’”
“Yes, I’ll do it-“
“Yes, fuck yes!” Yoongi suddenly gets up and you gasp when your lifted from your seat and spun around.
“Yoongi!—“ You hold onto his neck instinctively, trying to keep yourself from being dropped.
“You don’t know how you just changed my life,” He lets you down with the biggest, sweetest smile you’ve ever seen, “I love you for this.”
He laughs because, he’s only joking of course.
Tumblr media
Today, you’re picking up the rest of your things from Jaebeom’s apartment.
You’ve dreaded this. When you arrived home that night, Jaebeom arrived right behind you and he was in a good mood. He came in with his LV bags and greeted his precious Namu first before finding you in the kitchen.
“Can you believe I was actually starting to miss you?” He drops his bags and leans down to kiss your neck for longer than you’d prefer. Yet, for the first time in a while, you don’t pull away, you feel you owe him at least that as a parting gift.
“What did you do while I was away? Find another boyfriend,”
It’s the first time that accusation is actually true.
“I quit yesterday.”
“God, finally, that job made you so bitchy-”
“I’m also moving out.”
Silence sweeps the kitchen as he processes what you just said.
“Ok, where are you going?”
“I found a place, it’s pretty far from here,” You clear your throat, “I’ll be out of here tomorrow.”
“So, you have been fucking someone else,” He concludes, his year-long suspicions seems to be confirmed in his mind, “I’m not even surprised.”
“I don’t need to hear this from you, Jaebeom. You of all people don’t need to be throwing accusations like that at me, when you crawl back here in the middle of the night do think I don’t know what you’ve done!? I’m not stupid, you come here smelling like liquor and skanks. You should be happy I’m leaving, we fell out of love a long time ago…If we were even in love in the first place.”
After that, he said a few hurtful things and you did the same. Things got heated very fast but they deescalated just as fast. He ended up storming out and you packed with tears in your eyes—freedom. You’re finally free, these tears are an expression of the feelings you’ve been holding in for a year now. Living paycheck to paycheck and trying push down your feelings towards him. In the beginning, it wasn’t so bad but he started to grow tired of you, it was a mutual feeling.
Tumblr media
Yoongi was so excited, you’ve only known the man for a few days but something tells you this behavior is rare. He made a call and said his cousin would be coming over to help you all devise a plan. Hanse be the only other person to know about this little scheme. Hanse has been over for about an hour trying to come up with your cover story.
“You were in Bali a month ago,” The more time you spend here, the more comfortable you become, “if we say that’s where we met, wouldn’t it look like an obvious staged marriage?”
“Yeah, you have a point,” Hanse withdraws the rest of his previous idea, “maybe, let’s say you met last summer,”
“I was in London last summer for a month, dancing for a small company, where were you?”
“I was vacationing in Europe, so that’s perfect. We can say we met then and have been keeping touch ever since.”
“Okay, so what about the proposal?” Hanse adds.
Yoongi glances at you, “We can say it happened in Bali, I took you with me as a surprise and we talked about tying the knot then but hadn’t made it official.”
“That sounds like a solid story,”
“Good, now that that’s settled, we need to get the rings,” Yoongi smiles, “we’ll go out while Hanse looks for some nice venues.”
He gets up with a light stretch and you’re still staring in shock. “W- wait, wait! How can all of this happen so fast? A ring, a venue, a wedding this soon? I thought I would have some time tat least. And you all may have forgotten but I still have a boyfriend I have to break up with, I can’t go home with a ring,”
“I’ll hold on to it for you if that’s what worries you,”
”Thats not it, it’s just been so long, I’ve been wanting to leave for so long now,” You take a moment to relish in this once in a lifetime opportunity, “this doesn’t feel real,”
“It’s real.”
3 Weeks Until the Big Day
If someone said you’d be on your way home from dress shopping with a ‘personal assistant’, courtesy of your ‘fiancé,’ you’d tell them to get lost. But here you are, exhausted from your trip to the third and final boutique. Hanse joined about an hour ago with the wedding planner, they were getting the Yoongi’s guest list together and needed yours.
After finding the dress, you went to lunch and Hanse joined you to give you the overview of your pitiful list. He stared at Yoongi’s staggering 200-person guest list compared to your fraction of that, “There’s no one else? It is your special day,”
“The planner called me last night about that,” You shrug, “I want my grandma, my sister and my two brothers, a few friends from school and a friend from my old job, that’s about it.”
“Yoongi’s gonna be pissed I put this many people on the list,” He thinks aloud, “we’ll be lucky if he let’s me keep even 20 people.”
“Is your family really that big?”
“Yeah, but some of the invitations are just formalities for business partners and such, the immediate family, some of them are just invited to shove this in their face, a big ‘fuck you’ to some people to be honest, people like my mother,”
“Your mother? Oh, is that the woman Yoongi referred to as his ‘bitch aunt?’”
“Yep, she wants anyone but Yoongi to be the head. When she wants something, she’s irrepressible, she’ll do anything to make it happen,”
“So, you’re the only one on his side then,” You conclude, “that’s cute.”
“So are you now. It’s a grim situation because his father, my uncle, is on his deathbed. There’s a lots a stake if Yoongi doesn’t inherit the position, the whole family knows it,”
“Wow...you all have some complicated lives,” You grab your purse and unpin your hair, “I’m glad I don’t have to deal with that.”
“Y/n, you’re about to marry into the family, you’ll be apart of our complicated lives,” He laughs at the thought, “did you forget? Anyway, I’m gonna head out too, there was a family meeting I should have been at an hour ago, weren’t you supposed to be there?”
”Yoongi told me he’d pick me up later, something about things getting ugly in the first hour, his step mothers I think?”
“Oh, that’s right, she’s bringing her son so see Yoongi and their dad, the family haven’t been together like this in a while… I think all the ex-wives kids will be there.”
“Sounds fun.”

2 Weeks Until the Big Day
The marriage license.
The one thing that completely crossed your mind, you forgot that was a necessary part of a legal marriage. So, when Yoongi had a driver pick you up and bring you to the courthouse, things got real. And when he said to bring your ID, birth certificate, and social security number, it got insanely real. Not only that, but tonight his family has a dinner, he said they’re itching to meet you. It’s stressing you out.
Yoongi sat beside you with a calm demeanor, as if he were relieved. You were aware that this needed to be done, but you couldn’t stop worrying about one thing.
“Alright, I will make copies of these so I can issue your license,” The woman leaves the office with a kind smile and shuts the door. When she .comes back, she congratulates you both and sends you on your way. This time, you both go back in the same luxury car and it’s silent until Yoongi speaks.
“So, it’s Medusa?” Yoongi looks at you, in disbelief or amusement, it’s hard to tell. The image runs through his mind of any parents choosing to name their newborn after a snake-haired goddess. “That’s your real name?”
“I’m surprised you hadn’t background checked me, but yeah.”
“What inspired that name?”
“A motorcycle. My my biological father was apart of some biker gang and thought it was, quote ‘a bad ass name,’ that’s all I know about the guy,” You cringe, “I was hoping you wouldn’t find out,”
“I would have eventually found out, there’s a lot of paperwork involved in this whole marriage thing.”
“I know,” You lean against the window.
“It’s not bad actually, I could get used to it-“
“Please don’t, there’s a lot of pain attached to that name,” You confess, “I don’t claim that part of myself anymore, I go by Y/n.”
He’s taken aback by your firm yet pained request and it piques his interest in your mysterious past. “If that’s what you want, I respect that.”
You sigh in relief. “Thank you.”
“Tonight, we can grab takeout and talk on the couch. We should do that type of couple stuff, we’ve got to make sure we’re telling these people the same story.”
“Yoongi,” You lean back with a heavy sigh, “I want to get something over with, it’s killing me just thinking about it.”
“Get what over with?” He’s suddenly absorbed in his phone, head down and eyes trained on the screen.
“Do people expect us not to touch each other?” That sounded much weirder than you intended, “I don’t want the first time I kiss you to be in front of everyone, that’s awkward...”
Yoongi doesn’t try to hide the smile on his face. “Are you trying to say we should practice?”
“We’re getting married in a week, when were we supposed to?” You feel a heat rise to your face, “I’m not trying to say we have to do stuff, It’s just, if people see that we aren’t...Y’know, acting like newlyweds, it may spur suspicion.”
He tilts his head in thought, you’re probably right. This may be a business contract but it has to look and feel real to everyone around them. “I’d have to agree with you there.”
“It will probably do us some good since we’ll be living together. Though, we’ll have plenty of time to get used to intimacy on the honeymoon,”
Your heart skips a beat—you completely forgot about the honeymoon. By the time you think to say anything else, the driver makes a stop and gets out of the car, leaving you alone with Yoongi. Without hesitation, you scoot from your side of the car over to him. Your heart drums in your chest but you don’t let your face show it.
“This is apart of the deal,” You reiterate to him and your self, “right? We both agree on that.”
Yoongi simply encourages you to take the lead with his hand guiding yours to his face. He can’t help but doubt your vigor, you look away as if you’re still on your initial thought. You swallow, eyes wavering from his lips and to your hands. As if your nerves couldn’t get worse, the driver comes back and you freeze. Yoongi mentally coos, he didn’t think you had a shy bone in your body.
“We don’t have to force it,” He smiles, pinching your chin gently, “we’ll do it eventually.”
“I could live without it to be honest.” Your stomach churns and you nod, sitting back with red cheeks. Well, that was embarrassing. You’re the one who initiated it and you completely chickened out. Yoongi is an intimidating guy but intimidation rarely tames you. But the nerves of having to play the part got to you, you didn’t think it would.
After a short drive, the driver arrives at the mansion. You get out after Yoongi insists on opening the door for you. When you asked him why you couldn’t get it yourself, he said his father treated his wives like extra weight sometimes, he didn’t want to look like that. This marriage, albeit staged, is going to look better than his fathers.
You follow him inside and expect to see Hanse but he’s nowhere to be seen. Over the past two weeks, you’ve come to appreciate your friendship with him. Without him, you don’t know if you could truly go through with this with a part of your sanity. Since Yoongi hasn’t really been around a lot, he’s been booked with appointments and meetings. You wonder if it will always be like this. That’s certainly a possibility. After all, he made it very clear that your role is to look pretty and be there for any wife-like activity he may need you to do.
You sit on the couch with your favorite black sweats and a box of sushi in front of you.
He opens his side dishes and grins to himself, “I meant to ask you, how did the break up go?”
“He thinks that I’ve been with someone else and that’s why I decided to leave him, we had a nasty argument and he walked out,” You spare him the other details, “I’m just glad its over,”
“You were in one hell of a toxic relationship,” He points out the painfully obvious, “have you always been attracted to people who end up treating you like shit?”
You pause mid chew of your sushi.
“It seems that way, doesn’t it?” You sigh, “Maybe you’ll be the first to change that.”
“It’ll be my pleasure,” Yoongi confidently replies, “In front of everyone, we need to look like a married couple,” He gazes off, “but when it’s us, we’re just friends doing each other a favor.”
“That sounds good to me.”
“Good.”
“As long as you don’t catch feelings,” You smirk to yourself, “we’ll be fine. Now that we have that out of the way,” You give him a mischievous smile, “we need rings.”
“Hanse will handle that-”
“We’re not marrying Hanse,” You quip, “we’re marrying each other so we should pick the rings.”
Yoongi decided not to argue with you on this. Without a second thought, he made a private appointment at a luxury jewelry shop for the next morning. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t enjoy the spoiling. It was as if money was easy to come-by for him, it’s never been that way for you. When you count every penny and work to make the lives of those you love better, there’s never enough left over to spend on yourself.
You got dressed that morning in a dress and sandal heels, something nice but cheeky. Yoongi doesn’t show much of what he’s think n his face, but those eyes. When you walked out of the guest bathroom, where you’ve decided to stay until he’s put a ring on it. But the same look he gave you in the club, was the same look he gave you this morning—it did boost your ego a bit. If there’s one thing you appreciate about him, it’s his honesty. He’s never lied about his attraction to you, and neither have you. You don’t hate each other. The jewelry clerk knew Yoongi, had probably sold him the dozens of watches and necklaces he has in his closet.
“I didn’t know you were engaged, congratulations!” Zhilang exclaims with more excitement than his own family members, “I’m flattered you chose to bring someone so special here.”
“Where else would I have gone?” Yoongi tugs you closer with the hand on your waist, “I want the best for the love of my life, she’s very particular you know,” He looks at you, face so close you can’t help but giggle, “just like me.”
“N- Nice to meet you,”
Wow, you’re stuttering?? You have to roll your eyes at yourself.
“So, Yoongi gets all of his jewelry from you?”
“Has for years. The Min’s have been loyal customers here, he gets first pick from all our new pieces. I never thought he’d be here for a wedding ring,” She probably knows him as the bachelor you thought he was when you met, “I never thought he’d be the type to settle down.”
“You’d be surprised,” You look down at the selection of wedding bands in the cases, “he’s more of a romantic than he lets on.”
“I knew it! It’s always the cold types who are the biggest softies,” Zhilang pulls a key out of a pass code locked drawer, “is there a particular style you’re looking for? I can pull my best rings from the vault.”
“Oh, um, something not too bulky, but I do like big diamonds, gold bands…Can I see what you have? I might see something different that I like.”
“Of course, give me one moment.” She disappears into the back and you sigh in relief.
You move your face close to his ear. “Do I have a budget?”
“If you did, I would have told you,” He smirks when your mouth gapes in surprise.
“Really?...I don’t want to go crazy-”
“Shush, known of that,” He shakes his head, “You like it, It’s yours. You’re doing me the biggest favor of my life, you don’t need a budget,” It’s admittedly an ego-boost to be able to blow his money on you, it’s something he rarely even does for himself.
“I’m back, and I think you’ll really like these,” Zhilang has an assistant help her bring several rings to display in front of you, “please, try some on.”
You’ve never had this much money in front of you before, probably hundreds of thousands judging by the size of these stones.
“Wow, these are so beautiful,” Yoongi lets go of your waist to let you get close and personal with the jewelry, “Yoongi, look at this one,” You grab the first one that catches your eye and slip it on your finger, “do you like it?”
He nods, taking your hand into his and sending butterflies to your stomach. “You’ll be the one wearing it, baby doll, how’s it feel?”
“It’s a little heavy, let me try something else,” for about 30 minutes, you look through the dozens of rings and you appreciate Yoongi patiently staying by your side. Ring after ring, you show it to him, stare at it for a minute and then try a different one.
“Sweetheart,” Yoongi sighs, trying to hold on to his patience, “how about this one? You keep trying it on, I think that’s a sign.” He takes your wrist in hand and slides the ring on your finger.
“I do really love it…But you don’t think it’s too much, do you?”
“No, it fits you, I think this is the one. Wouldn’t you agree Zhilang?” He shows your hand, getting an enthusiastic response from her.
“Absolutely! Everything looks good on you but this one is different, it looks like it was made for you.”
After the flattery and Yoongi’s sweet-talking, you finally walk out of the jewelry shop with a new ring and a huge smile. On the car ride to the next destination, you admired the ring with starry eyes. In times like this, you realize how much you’ve been deprived of fine jewelry. Of fine anything for that matter. He drives with one hand while his other hand rests on the gear shift. For a moment, you imagine what his hand would look like in yours or on your thigh, it’s only a fleeting thought though.
“My mom will talk about me like a dog when she sees this, she always said I was destined to be a gold digger…Nothing I can do will make the money I want, wealth doesn’t run in the family.”
“Sorry but your mom sounds like an asshole,” He recalls the lack of your parents names on the guest list. He knows your dads out of the question, but what about your mom? “I noticed she’s not on the list but your grandma is, is that why? What’s with the relationship there?”
“We’ve always had a rocky relationship, but I do have to talk to her pretty frequently because of my younger siblings. The ones she decided to have when I was a teenager and drop off on my grandma, just like she did me.”
“Maybe I’ll come with you to see her before the wedding, where does she live?”
“Jail.”

5 Days Until The Big Day
”Your ID, miss?”
The officer grabs the card and sends you through security. You’re asked to leave your purse in a locker and then you’re escorted into the waiting room. Some people are smiling, greeting their beloved family members with enthusiasm. You wished it were like that for you but it’s not. When she walks through those doors, a grin on her face and hands free of cuffs. She’ll be out early on good behavior, that surprises you more than anything.
“Well, this is a pleasant surprise,” She takes a seat in front of you and all you can see is her orange jumpsuit, “what brings you here? You didn’t bring the kids, and it’s not Christmas, or my birthday, so let me guess…Did you and your boyfriend screw up your lives the way I did 20-something years ago?”
“Wow, you really know how to start a riveting conversation,” You shake your head, “that’s not why I’m here, that will never be why I come to see you.”
“Ok, so what is it?-…No fucking way,” She stares down at your crossed arms and catches a glance at the rock on your finger, “a ring?”
“That’s what I came here to tell you,” You roll your eyes, “I’m getting married this weekend.”
“I didn’t think you were serious with that guy-“
“We’re not together anymore.”
“Oh...so if it’s not him,” You watch her as the gears turn in her head to form an explanation, “what did you do to get a man to marry you? Are you having some old-ass millionaire’s baby or something?”
“Helena, what the hell? No, he’s not old and nobody’s pregnant. I’m not like you, I’m not gonna get pregnant by ‘accident’ 3 times. Hera was purposeful, you actually thought a pregnancy would make that guys stay, but it didn’t happen, unfortunately,” You had to let her have a taste of her own medicine.
“Ouch,” She smirks, “Come on, you have to admit this is weird. You? Marriage, it doesn’t even sound right... How much is he paying you?”
“Do you want me to leave?” You threaten.
“Is this all you came here to tell me?”
“I guess so,” You conclude, not in the mood to be the adult in the conversation, “I’ll send you a picture, see you after the rest of your sentence.” You get up with a forced smile, ready to leave this dreaded place.
“When will I be able to meet him?”
“I don’t know, maybe next time I bring the kids... Why do you care?” It’s a genuine question, she’s never really taken a true interest in who you’re with, why would marriage be any different? When she gives you an expressionless face, you take the liberty to bid her a much-anticipated farewell.
As you left the room, you could have sworn she felt a tinge of jealousy or shame? Helena is a lot a things, but she’s shameless. There’s not much that she worries about when it comes to how she’s perceived. But it must hurt to see your daughter getting married when you couldn’t keep not even one of your three baby-daddys. Even if this is fake, you’re going to milk the fact that you found someone who cares enough about you to call you their wife. Even if it is temporary, it’s starting to feel really good.
Tumblr media
The dinner was orchestrated by Yoora to congratulate Yoongi on his engagement, supposedly. The lavish dinner hall was bustling with people and Yoongi was debating whether he’d even humor her with his presence, or yours. But you insisted that you meet this aunt of his and at least some of these people before they see you walk down the isle.
Today, you two coordinate outfits together and you had a lot of fun doing that. You were going to go for dark green but Yoongi leaned towards black. The compromise was black for him and dark green for you. It took you less time to get ready so you’re waiting patiently in the living room.
“Oh, you’re ready,” When Yoongi walked out of his room, you remembered why you gave him the time of day. “You look great.”
“Thank you, so do you,” He’s not bad on the eyes at all.
He picked one set of keys from the key-rack and walks to one of the few luxury cars in the garage. He briefed you in the car about a few family members and you tried to remember everything.
“You know what? I think I want to go back home, I feel like I’m gonna throw up,” You stand with Yoongi in the foyer where none of the guests would enter, “I was fine until I started hearing everyone, there’s a lot of people in there.”
“This is the same group of people who’ll be at the wedding, minus about a hundred,” He walks you over to the coat closet by your arm, “this will make the big day a lot easier and we can leave early, I’ll make something up so we can bail. Besides I’m sure they’re anxious to gossip about us so we can give them plenty of time to do that.
“Ok…” You don’t know where these nerves are coming from but they’re eating you up. It takes a moment for you to gather yourself but when you do, you hook your arm around Yoongi’s and prepare to be judged.
When the two of you make your way down the hall, the voices get louder and you force a calm facade. It occurs to you when you enter the room that these people aren’t normal.
“My nephew and his beautiful bride,” A loud voice reverberates throughout the room
That must be Yoora.
Every eye lands on you and you receive a variety of looks. The first person you notice is a little girl with two pigtails and a judgmental look. You survey the room with an anxious smile hiding behind a confident one.
“This is Y/n, my fiancé,” Yoongi presents you with a proud grin,
“Hi, it’s nice to finally meet you, I’ve heard so much about you,” You lean over to give her a hug.
“Oh,” She gives you a brief embrace before glancing at Yoongi, “hopefully only good things, but knowing Yoongi, I’ll just say, don’t believe everything you hear.”
She erupts in laughter, the glass of wine in her hand being swiftly taken by the waiter she hands it to.
“But it’s lovely to meet you,” She gives you a smile before leaving to socialize with some other, “let me introduce you to the family.”
“Ah, ah, you’re not stealing her away,” Yoongi doesn’t let you get pulled away and he gives you a look of reassurance. “We’ll get around to everyone soon, you should go see Hanse, he said he has something to tell you.”
Yoora goes on her way and Yoongi walks you over to who you assume is his fathers most recent wife. The little girl sitting next to her seems to have a permanent scowl plastered on her adorable little face.
“Y/n, I’d like you to meet Ellen, my dads wife and Emma’s mother,” Yoongi glares down at Emma for a moment when she rolls her eyes, “did I say Emma? I meant the gremlin-“
“Don’t call me that!” She whines, still not fully acknowledging you.
“Settle down Emma, your brothers just teasing,” Ellen shakes her head, “welcome to the family, Y/n? You are so beautiful, when did you two meet? ”
“Oh, thank you,” You smile softly, “a year ago in London, I was dancing at a company for a month and met him while he was vacationing.”
“You’re a dancer? I used to dance at a ballet studio in Paris when I was around your age, it was some of the best years of my life,”
She recalls her youth, Yoongi breathes a sigh of boredom. The night goes on like that, you meet his family members and he hovers around like a helicopter parent. He really doesn’t trust these people with you and it makes you smile.
“Hi, I’m Kim, Yoongi’s half sister from our dads second marriage.” A pretty girl came up to you had short curly hair and a tiny black dress—she also has Yoongi’s eyes.
“Nice to meet you,” You put down your appetizer to greet her, “your dads genetics are strong, you look just like Yoongi,” You hope she takes that as a compliment.
“Yeah, I get that a lot,” She sighs, eyeing Yoongi who watches you from the corner with some man you haven’t met.
“Well, I’ll see you at the wedding, congrats,”
With that, she leaves and Yoongi quickly comes over to you. Before even saying anything, he leans down to kiss your temple and you look up.
“Let’s bail,” He whispers
You nod, holding onto his hand so he could escort you out. He says a few words to Hanse and you’re able to say goodbye to a few people before Yoongi is opening the car door for you. It feels good to be on your way home with someone. With Jaebeom, you’d always arrive home at different times. And when you were home together, you felt more like roommates than a couple.
“That went well,” You exhale.
“Yeah, I’m surprised they were so well behaved,”
“I was surprised you kissed me,” You give him a cheesy smile, “that was cute.”
“You could have kissed me back.”
“Yeah,” You sigh, because that was actually a thought you had.
Once you make it home, you both go change into some comfortable lounge clothes. It feels good to take off your extravagant clothes and walk out to a friend on the couch. Yoongi has some soft instrumental music playing, a glass and a bottle of wine on the end table.
“Want some?” He offers a glass.
“Nah, just brushed my teeth,” You take a seat in the corner of the couch, “thanks though.”
You sit back and cover up with a blanket and get comfortable. He looks more comfortable than this corner though. “Yoongi?
When you look up Yoongi’s face is glowing red, from the alcohol you assume. “Hm?”
“Are you sure I’m the one you want?” You scoot closer to him and he gives you a soft look. “You could have anyone, and you want to marry me,“
“We’ve talked about this; I wanted you the first time I saw you.”
You swallow, “My ex would say one thing but his actions would say another, so it takes a lot for me to be sure people are telling me the truth-“
“I’m not your ex, Y/n,” Yoongi turns his body towards you, head resting on his hand, “you don’t live with him anymore, you don’t sleep with him anymore. You live with me now,”
“I know.”
“I don’t know if he loved you but if he did, he probably did a shit job at showing you. What we have isn’t love but I at least appreciate you, if that’s what you need to hear.”
“I appreciate you too, you’re giving me more than I’ve been given by anyone, it’s crazy…”
“You’re giving up a lot by marrying me, you’re entitled to compensation,”
You stare into his eyes, his eyes—not Jaebeom’s eyes that only saw your body, and what it could do for him. This isn’t like that, Yoongi doesn’t demand physical payment for staying with him, it increases his appeal more than you thought it would.
“Thanks,” You don’t know what to say other than thank you, “you’re really red in the face,” You giggle, pointing to your cheek to show him.
“Yeah, that always happens,” He smiles.
“Yoongi,” You hug him, catching him off guard but it’s pleasant. He reciprocates your hug with his warm arms around your waist. You look up at him and his sleepy orbs study your face. It takes a single moment to gather the courage and peck his lips, earning a look of surprise.
“Oh,” He smirks, “that’s it?”
“What do you mean?…” You twiddle your fingers behind his neck.
When he suddenly kisses you, you feel the breath leave your lungs. His hands tighten around your waist and pulls you onto his lap. He starts off gently, softly prodding against your lips, he’s so different. You let yourself fall into him and you ignore any feelings of doubt. This feeling is so familiar to you, Jaebeom demanded it of you for months. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t demand it back sometimes. Yoongi is like a breath of fresh air. He’s about to be your husband and this is the first time you’re really touching him. You rake your hands through his hair, earning a sigh of satisfaction from him. Against your better judgment, you imagine this is what being loved feels like—why would you do that?
“Wait,” You gasp, “Y- yoongi.”
“I thought you wanted to, sorry,” He rubs his lips with the back of his hand, “you don’t want to?”
When you don’t say anything but press your hands to his chest, he gently lifts you off of him.
“We don’t need to force it,” He reassures you with a nod.
“It’s not that, I don’t feel like it’s forced I just haven’t been with anyone but Jaebeom in a long time…”
“That’s okay,” He tilts his head. “take your time.”
“I don’t want to take my time though, it’s fun to be with you…” You bite your lip, a little embarrassed. “You’re so different .”
“Ok, then let’s have fun,” His eyes drag from your eyes to your lips.
Yoongi is about to be your husband and you’re about to be his wife. The world is going to think it’s real, you two have to make it look real without making it feel real.

Blabbing about this Musician!au I started last summer that has now also turned into a marching band!au because I got sad and nostalgic because despite how shitty it could be, marching band defined my high school life and social life and I couldn’t had asked for anything else.
I also don’t have every single prequel character (because this au is surrounding the prequel characters) in Star Wars smacked into here, and I gave up halfway through a couple of months ago in terms of brainstorming. Anyways, this is hella long so check everything out under the line if you’d like! don’t want to spam everyone with something that’s like, 4 pages long
Now, you might be asking. What instruments are these characters playing, or what are they doing in marching band? well, boy oh boy do I have some lore for you.
Anakin Skywalker: alright lets start of with the “Chosen One”. Now, I gotta say. He’s got some intense brass vibes, specifically high brass. But I don’t know. He didn’t really mesh well. And given his natural talent with the Force in canon, I thought that Anakin would be a sort of prodigy. And we all know the two instruments associated with that: the piano and violin. He’s more of a piano dude, so here we go! piano prodigy Anakin Skywalker. He also gives mad drumline vibes, and I can see him as either the lead snare, setting the tempo, or the main quad player. He’s brash, slightly obnoxious, but damn is he fucking good at what he does.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: I literally started this AU on the idea that Obi-Wan would play the cello. One of the defining quotes for him is that fucking “infinite sadness” quote. And we all know that cellos play some of the saddest pieces out there. (see: Elgar cello concerto) However, I can’t see him as a marching band dude. He doesn’t really give off color guard vibes (since that’s where most non-band people go to) so I have him as the resident student helper who everyone tolerates because he brings ice cream after band camp.
Ahsoka Tano: Ahsoka is a flute player. As a flute player, I have intimate knowledge on this. She’s like the chill flute player who’s competitive enough to keep her position as principal, but is also chill enough to not have a big ego that butts heads with everyone. She also gives mad color guard vibes. Also speaking about that from personal experience (am I lowkey projecting my own experiences on her? you didn’t hear that from me). She seems like the type to love swing flags and sabre, and is 100% captain by senior year.
I have Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka as siblings in this AU because I say so. Qui-Gon is around here somewhere as the resident hippie dad who lowkey smokes pot and will support his children while giving a big ‘fuck you’ to Dooku.
Yoda’s also in here somewhere, and I love the idea that he’s an old Chinese/Asian man who refuses to speak english and will only do so with the most backwards grammar so his grandchild (Qui-Gon) and great-grandchildren (the trio) are forced to speak Mandarin/Cantonese to him (pick your poison). He just spends his days cutting up fruit and also might pull out his erhu if everyone asks nice enough. (I want to say he was a Peking Opera musician, but immigrated during Mao’s reign after he lost opportunities during the cultural revolution)
So, I know that it doesn’t make sense for a family to have 3 sets of twins and one triplet set, but fuck that I do what I want.
Cody Fett: okay so, Cody 100% plays the french horn. I don’t know, he just, he does. He’s got that air of sophistication because he can play the hardest brass instrument, but at the same time, he’s incredibly good at it and is matter-of-fact about it. He also would be the mello section leader (I was playing with the idea of drum major, but for now, leaving him as a section leader for now). He’s a bit uptight to be a low brass player, but cool enough to still be associated with the general brass group.
Rex Fett: I got Rex and Cody as the eldest Fett twins. Rex feels like a string player, so I have him on violin. I can see him be very hardworking and practicing diligently to the point where he easily sweeps through to concertmaster in high school and the local youth orchestra. He also gives of mad drum major vibes. I can see him copying music, handing out drill charts, and hauling the met around. Also, just think about Rex doing a fancy ass salute at competitions. Yes.
Next round of twins lets gooo
Jesse Fett: You could say Jesse has brass vibes. I see him as a reed person though. In concert band, he’s on clarinet. I used to think clarinets were as stuck up as us flutes but no they’re literally balls of chaotic energy ready to be unleashed. Just imagine Jesse blaming everything on his reed. I see him as the guy who switches to saxophone for marching band, though. He’s got the energy of the clarinet and the saxophone harnessed. Also, wouldn’t be surprised if he knows how to play the sousa.
Kix Fett: Y’know, when I originally made this AU, I had Kix as a musician as well. I’m gonna scratch that. He’s going to medical school, or at least, he’s planning to. He’s on the pre-med track and is dying in organic chemistry and wishes there weren’t so many pre-requisites. However, in high school, he definitely played the oboe. Of course Kix chose one of the hardest instruments to play. Also, just imagine him trying to make his own reeds. I don’t see him as a guy who’s in marching band. He’ll come to competitions and maybe football games if he’s bullied into it. Kix is the guy who’s classes are all AP and he’s dying inside.
Next round of twins yeet:
Fives Fett: shit, I forgot I gave them all real names. If I remember correctly, Fives is Frank. Anyways, trumpet vibes. Need I say more? He’s on the trumpet in marching band as well and he’s the dude who’s obsessed with DCI and always tries to play as high as he possibly can and absolutely demolishes his chops. I would say he’s section leader as well. He also hangs with the drumline at the back of the bus and always plays meme songs on blast and sends weird pictures to people’s phone via open airdrop.
Echo Fett: I think his birth name is Ethan??? I’m spitting thoughts not checking my old documents. Anyways. Echo feels like a string person. Specifically, low strings. So, he plays the bass. Upright bass. Whatever. You get what I mean. He sleeps in the case after school and hates hauling it everywhere. He was in marching band as a mello player (the easiest brass instrument to pick up for the activity so) but he was in a car crash that left him paralyzed from the hip down, and had to quit to recover. He never stopped playing, and found ways to adjust. (I do not know how exactly this would work, since I’m able bodied and also don’t play the bass, but I know he’d at least have a stool to sit on in order to lean his body on. let me know if you have other ideas i’d love to hear them!)
Finally, we got the triplets:
Dogma Fett: Dogma plays the bassoon. He’s a low reed kinda guy and between the bari sax, bass clarinet, and bassoon, he fits the last one the best. He and Kix moan over making reeds and he’s on the quieter side. He just vibes and plays all the low notes and has fun whenever he’s got some moving part. I see Dogma as someone who is only casually into marching band. He uses Jesse’s old student clarinet as his instrument and he’s always on time, knows his sets, and his technique is on point. He always finds himself roped into his brothers’ shenanigans though.
Tup Fett: Tup plays the harp. I like to think he met Shaak Ti (we’ll get to her in a bit) when he was young, and she was playing with an orchestra. He met her backstage and she offered to give him lessons. Tup’s not really a part of high school orchestra but sometimes he’ll be brought in. He’s more involved with solo work and the youth orchestra more than anything. Tup’s another on where I don’t think he’d be into marching band. Though I can see him being in winter guard as the dude who just shows up and is lowkey rip and therefore is a hunk on the rifle. His technique’s good but they’ve never been able to saddle him into fall guard.
Hardcase Fett: (i’ve given up on remembering the birth names so i’m just gonna not) Hardcase is 100% low brass vibes. He can’t be anything but a low brass. I see him as a tuba player. He’s chill, laid back, but also reliable for being the foundation of the band sound. He plays the sousaphone in marching band and always blasts either Seven Nation Army or some other popular show tune right after rehearsals. Hardcase also can play the bari sax and no one knows when he learned how to.
OKAY we’re done with the Fett’s! Jango and Boba are in here somewhere but honestly I don’t have enough brainpower to come up with what their roles are. Jango’s gonna be a good dad though. Maybe he was a musician and that’s why most of his kids are going into music. Or maybe he’s just a supportive father. Boba’s the youngest though, that’s for sure. And he’s a little shit. Don’t know if he plays an instrument (probably) or what it might be.
Now lets get into some other characters! There’s a lot. And I wasn’t even halfway done with the characters I wanted to include. What the hell was I on last summer?
Padmé Amidala: Padmé is a flute player who quit after freshman year of high school and started taking music production and music theory classes. She loved it so much that she decided that composing was her jam. Now, she’s highly successful and often works with well known pianist, Anakin Skywalker, on piano concertos. Also, she may or may not be dating said pianists but you didn’t hear that from me.
Satine Kryze: twosetters don’t shit on me but Satine feels like she’d play the viola. She and Obi-Obi-Wan definitely dated in high school but after a year broke up on mutual terms and are just good friends now. A lot of people feel like she’d have been a better political science/international studies major than a music major but she’s good so no one complains (until she gets into a fighting match with someone and wins smugly)
Bo-Katan Kryze: shes Satine’s younger sister and is a mad athlete. She doesn’t play any instruments but she’s deeply active and is on scholarship for college, on the pre-med track with Kix. She’s very scary and most people are too intimidated by her to approach.
Plo Koon: I originally had him as an asian man, but I can see Native American as well. He plays the euphonium and he’s just a sweet man. He helps out a lot with private lessons at local high schools and is often brought in to help with low brass during marching band.
Wolffe Koon: Wolffe and Gregor (get to him in a bit) were both adopted by Plo when their parents died when they were very young. Plo was their godfather and he took them in like they were his own. They’re cousins to the Fett brothers (though don’t ask me how I have no idea). Wolffe is an engineer and works close to home.
Gregor Koon: Gregor is Wolffe’s younger brother and had a short stint of musical interest in middle school but quit after he entered high school. Gregor was in a serious car crash during college that left him amnesiac for a year before some of his memories returned. He now owns a restaurant and sticks close to home. Wolffe often comes around to check up on him because his brain injury still impacts his current life in small physical and emotional dips
Kit Fisto: Kit gives off mad trombone vibes and it’s mostly because he seems incredibly laid back. He’s one of those brass players who’s just a nice guy and while jokes around, never got pulled into jokes as a student.
Shaak Ti: like I said above, Shaak Ti is most definitely a harpist. She has that ethereal quality I think is common in harpists. She’s a tall Indian woman and she loves her job! She’s a private lesson teacher and instructor at the conservatory on top of her job in the orchestra since she’s not called in often to play. She loves all her students and gives good hugs.
Mace Windu: Mace is the director of the Jedi Symphony, the orchestra which almost everyone is involved with. He is a bass player and he likes his more classical pieces over contemporary music. He’s good friends with Yoda and sometimes the old troll has to wack some sense into Windu and have him take on newer pieces. Windu 100% gives off unhinged director vibes because mistakes and lazy musicians definitely don’t end after high school/college is over.
Quinlan Vos: this lil shithead definitely is the obnoxious, slightly arrogant, but kind of deserving of that, percussionist. He loves his snare drum and is also in the drumline. He’s the same age as Obi-Wan and the two are close friends. Quinlan is definitely slightly unhinged and is always at the back of the bus causing havoc after competitions. He’s the guy that I (OP) hate but also can’t help but respect cuz yeah he’s annoying but at least he’s good.
Aayla Secura: Aayla is Quinn’s half-sister, and plays the French horn. Again, like Cody, she’s got this air of professionalism that I associate with French horn players and like, we gotta represent the girls in brass somehow. She just fits it really nicely.
I feel like now is the time to list who’s still in conservatory and who isn’t: Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex, Cody, Jesse, Quinlan, Padmé, and Satine are all recent graduates. Ahsoka, Aayla, Fives, Echo, Tup, Dogma, and Hardcase are still in conservatory (at varying years of course). Kix and Bo are entering med school/frantically applying and banging their heads cuz MCATs. Wolffe and Gregor are older and have been in the field for quite some time now. Plo, Kit, Shaak, and Mace are all faculty/seasoned professionals.
Somehow, I was gonna bring in The Skiratas (with proper research cuz I know very little about them), Dooku, Ventress, the Oppress siblings, rest of Domino Squad, Cut Lawquene, the other CCs, and more. I designated a page out of my sketchbook for this and my oh my the flow chart was hella confusing. How I thought I was gonna handle that in the summer before my first year of college, I have no idea. Maybe I’ll brainstorm more in the future but for now, this is all I have :]]]
Also excuse some of my slightly unhinged language I started writing this a few days ago while slightly unfocused and tired and stressed so my language is a product of that

Todoroki/Iida - Iida becomes a villain
So @doomsdaybeamxd prompted me with
Pairing: Todoiida AU: Iida falls in with the villains. Big Angst Time
I’d normally write a mini fic as is proper but my brain has too many ideas for this. So here’s a general idea of how I think it goes as if I actually tried to write a tiny bit, it wouldn’t stay a tiny bit.
As it is, I’m writing at least some of this in Variations on a Theme. How much I’ll do, I don’t know.
Childhood friends
Shouto and Tenya met shortly after Rei was put in the mental hospital.
This happened because Enji was feeling guilty over Rei and seeing Shouto being lonely so was for once in his life was trying to be a semi-decent father and decided to arrange regular playdates.
No, Enji never considered to let Natsuo or Fuyumi play with Shouto. If he thought about it, he'd have reasons but they'd all suck.
Shouto was lonely and so was Tenya as he got bullied for being ‘weird’ and bit by bit they established a friendship.
There may or may not be mutual puppy crushes involved.
Enji after gaining a +1 in parenting points, loses 10,000 by saying that Tenya is the sort of good, loyal son that he’d be proud of, and accidentally implying that Tenya is there to change Shouto into a version of him.
This makes Shouto hate Tenya, assuming that he was in on it, and he refuses to spend anymore time with him. This upsets Tenya and baffles Enji. Enji doesn’t even consider the possibility that it was his fault.
Years pass.
They meet again at UA
Years past and Tenya is really looking forward to seeing Shouto again. Elementary and middle school were not fun and he got bullied a lot. Surely Shouto has forgiven him for whatever he did!
Nope.
If anything Shouto’s angrier as he still has feelings for Tenya and he wants them gone. Shouto won’t even tell him why they’re no longer friends. Just that it’s Tenya’s fault.
The sports festival goes about the same as before except that Tenya gets the call about Tensei just before his fight with Shouto.
Stain killed Tensei instead of crippled. His mother lets this drop on the phone.
Tenya instead of going home seeks out Shouto. Shouto’s older brother died. While he never talked about it, surely Shouto knows what it is like, maybe even knows how to cope.
Endeavor has just been blabbing away at Shouto. So Shouto is angry and totally avoids looking at Tenya or paying much attention at all, missing all the absolute BLATANT hints that Tenya needs help.
Shouto misconstrues Tenya’s disjointed ask for help and bitterly says that the normal thing is that the weak are ‘thrown out’ and the strong survive. Shouto has no clue that Tensei is dead.
Whoops.
Tenya and Shouto have their match because the teachers haven’t heard about Tensei yet. It is a lot more brutal than the canon one. Shouto even loses himself for a while and uses his flame.
Tenya loses. Now he’s angry at Shouto too.
Shouto later has the chat with Midoriya, they have their match and Shouto starts thinking over things.
The next day Tenya refuses to talk about anything. None of the students have a clue what happened to Tensei.
The teachers do. Aizawa, Mic and Midnight went to school with Tensei. They try to be comforting. Tenya is super polite while raging inside that when Oboro died and Tensei was upset, they weren’t around.
To be fair to the teachers, while Oboro and Tensei were close friends, Tensei wasn’t with the rest of them. Everyone was trying to keep Aizawa from falling apart at the time.
Tenya is NOT in his happy place.
Tenya goes after Stain
Tenya is a whole lot less patient at this point than his canon self. He doesn’t wait to go after Stain at this point. As his armour is at school, he uses his brother’s access cards and such to steal Villain stuff from his agency.
The one-on-one battle of Tenya against Stain goes initially better. He gets a few good hits in. Stain is ranting about Tensei was a fake hero. He eventually takes Tenya down but fail-safes in the villain gear kick in and electrocute Stain.
When Tenya gets a hold of himself, Stain is ranting about all the Iidas being false heroes that need to be cleansed.
Tenya does not take this well.
At all.
And he has one of Stain’s knives.
Tenya finds himself wondering why his clothes are soaking wet. And red.
He then notices a few things (a) Stain is dead, probably has been for a while, (b) there’s a hero in the alley who apparently Stain attacked before Tenya showed up, (c) the hero is dead because they bled out, just like Tensei did, because Tenya was obsessed with killing Stain and (d) his parents and Aizawa have tracked him down and are watching in absolute shock.
Tenya runs. Aizawa recovers first and erases his Quirk, but Tenya runs all the time and even without it he is very, very fast. By the time, the Iida parents recover, Tenya has apparently disappeared into thin air.
This is because he kind of has. The League thought Tenya was Stain and Kurogiri warped him out of there.
Shouto finds out
Over at the Todoroki house, Fuyumi asks about how Tenya is doing, what with the death of his older brother.
Shouto didn’t know but rolls his eyes. Though after some thought and after learning from Midoriya, it occurs to him that perhaps Endeavor doesn’t own Tenya. So maybe his actions had nothing to do with what Enji wanted.
Also if there’s one thing he knows about Tenya is his older brother is his world.
And that expression on Tenya’s face during their match looked a lot like the nastier ones that Shouto himself has worn.
Shouto still has Tenya’s number from childhood and vice versa. He considered deleting it but at the time he was using it to remember just how much he hated Endeavor.
Tenya apparently sent some angry messages.
“Oh no.”
Tenya is with the League
Tenya is so exhausted and upset about what he did and what his parents saw that he’s oddly accepting of being trussed up.
Tomura after some initial ranting about killing the kid who ruined the USJ (even though he didn’t), listens to the news, some police and hero chatter then puts his thinking cap on.
Hero kid killed Stain. He is oh-so miserable about Stain being killed. I mean look at all the tears on his face . . . Good riddance.
Hero kid killed Stain when he was already out of the fight. Then kept on standing for the lolz. Nice. This could be interesting and Sensei is apparently all for it.
As Tenya is pretty much a Sim with its free will setting off at this point, Tomura instructs him through things, plants some ideas in his head and basically treats him like a very dumb pet.
Not much happens until Stain’s diary is published and copycats start showing up. Tenya starts to wake up at this and it is not pleasant (though Tomura loves it).
Tomura pretty much points some out and lets Tenya loose and eventually Tenya comes back with a sword.
RIP Spinner.
Awwww... Tomura always wanted a little brother.
Well, no he didn’t, but now he does.
Shouto and His Newly Reinvigorated Guilt Complex
Everyone is freaking out, trying to track down Tenya.
While they acknowledge that Tenya killed Stain, Shouto’s the only one who thinks that the Hero Killer Killer is the one responsible for killing an increasing number of Stain followers. The Iidas can’t believe that of their little boy, the teachers are letting their guilt taint their opinions and Midoriya and Uraraka are, at the end of the day, idealists.
Shouto knows what it is like to have your hatred of someone turn your life into a tunnel vision. If his father had killed his mother, Shouto has a very good idea of what would happen.
As it was, Shouto seriously considered killing his father when he was younger. At the time, he only didn’t try to do it because it would hurt Fuyumi and he has a very hard time picturing Endeavor being able to die.
He honestly didn’t take into account that his mother wouldn’t want him to be a killer.
He still doesn’t take that into account because Shouto, the idiot, hasn’t visited his mother because of everything that has happened. The guilt of not helping Tenya makes him ashamed and he doesn’t think he’s worthy of her.
Shouto, you complete and utter idiot.
So he’s collecting (stealing) money from home, dyes his hair black and is going undercover to try to track Tenya down.
He’s really bad at the undercover bit (rich kid clothes) and his scar is very distinctive. Plus UA and Endeavor are tearing up the landscape to find him and he doesn’t have a magic portal man to transport him.
He’s all set to get caught when a mysterious burned man offers to show him the ways of the underworld for a price.
From here on?
I really don’t know but I don’t see the internship or summer camp arcs going the same way, if they happen at all.

DNF/Georgebur PotO & LND AU
Okay, to begin with, thank you so so much for giving me the chance to blab about this @dtvibez because I’ve always wanted to work with this AU, but I’ve just never had the characters to do it with and my musical nerd heart is thriving right now. Alright, anywhodilydo, geek-out over, let’s get into it - just a warning kiddos, this is gonna be a long one so strap in and hold on...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Roles
To start off, let’s address the roles here for how I believe these plots would fit best with the characters involved - it’s purely up to individual interpretation, but these are my thoughts as an in-depth lover of these musicals.
Obviously, our dear George is the leading lady Christine Daae in this story, that was pretty much a given - let’s just be honest here guys, he’s the simp-bait through and through and if that wasn’t Christine, I don’t know what was. Meg - Christine’s friend - and her mother Madame Giry I’m going to combine and make Fundy for reasons I shall disclose later in this post, and Sapnap will have a role to discuss later down the line too, just lemme get there. Now as for the love interests, I can easily say that Eric/The Phantom is Dream and Raoul is Wilbur in this situation. Some of you might be questioning why it wouldn’t be switched because Raoul was her childhood friend and Eric was a gifted musician, but I have answers for you ahead on that, don’t you worry~ ;)
Phantom of the Opera Arc
After studying under Dream - or the Nightmare of the Opera as people prefer to call him - for years to be the star singer he was always destined to be, George is finally granted the chance to do so when some strings are pulled behind the scenes to give him a leading role in an opera. There isn’t anything George wouldn’t do for his Angel of Music after giving him such a chance at success, and Dream is practically preening with pride over how astounding his Georgie has turned out to be. Before Dream can whisk George away in triumph, however, his childhood friend Wilbur shows up out of the blue to shower him in praise and remind him of the puppy love they shared as children before George moved to the opera house. George is smitten with nostalgia, to say the least - it’s nice to put a face to the affection for once.
Needless to say, Dream is hardly pleased with this turn of events and actively tries to keep George not only away from Wilbur, but also to himself because George is quite literally all he has in the world - not even his music can compare to how much George means to him. Of course, the way he goes about this is hardly morally right and only serves to drive George further and further away from him and into Wilbur’s arms as a safe haven from all of the horrors. In the end, though, even after so much heartbreak and all the terrible things Dream’s done to keep him hostage as his muse and love, George finds it in his heart to forgive him for being how the world made him to be and genuinely offers to give up his freedom if it means he won’t be alone in that darkness anymore and Wilbur won’t die.
As expected, Dream realizes he really can’t do that George when it comes down to it - he simply loves him too much to force him to stay if it means he’d wind up hating him for it in the end. He’d rather let him be free and live the life he’s been dreaming of with Wilbur than have him stay and live the rest of his life resenting him. Even so, George is surprisingly hesitant to leave and can only offer to return the wedding ring Dream gifted him as a final goodbye and a silent show of his remaining love for him before he let’s him go in return and goes off with Wilbur. Following that night, Dream disappears from the opera house altogether, never to be heard from again...
Love Never Dies Arc - *SPOILERS*
...Or so the story goes in Paris 10 years ago. Little did anyone know, Fundy actually helped Dream steal away from the opera house when the mobs came searching for him and was unyieldingly by his side as they made their way to America for a fresh start. Once there, Dream - with a little seedy behind-the-scenes help from Fundy - founded a successful side show on Coney Island where he and others like him such as Sapnap and Punz - Miss Fleck and Dr. Gangle - are able to live freely and are treated with respect for their unique traits. Fundy has actually taken to training under Dream to be a successful singer in his own right with a well-known show in the attraction, his only goal to gain Dream’s favor and hopefully prove he’s able to replace George in his life. Dream unsurprisingly has no interest in anything of the sort and still actively mourns the loss of his muse - not even his music brings him joy anymore because it only reminds him of what could’ve been, and Fundy will never be his Georgie despite how much he insists otherwise.
But Dream is a clever thing, and he winds up securing a contract for George - who is now married to Wilbur and is raising a 10-year-old son with him - to come perform at the side show for one last performance. George takes the contract with little to no thought as to the odd pseudonym on the paperwork because Wilbur has lost himself to gambling and alcohol over the years, and they’re desperate for money to survive. At first, George is irate and somewhat heartbroken to learn that Dream’s been alive after all these years, especially after how their lives have turned out following the one night of passion they shared before he disappeared. He admits he still loved Dream when he left and would’ve gone with him, but because he thought they couldn’t be happy and left without him, that ship has long since sailed. They both wish things could have been different, but also accept that what happened happened and all they can do now is move forward with the choices they’ve made.
Much to everyone’s immense shock, though, George’s son is actually Dream’s and not Wilbur’s - a fact which Dream deduces on his own after connecting the dots between his age and musical prowess. Unfortunately, the child is terrified of Dream’s true face just as George once was and after getting the truth confirmed about the child’s real parentage, he begs for him to never know. George ultimately blames himself for what’s happened, and although he can’t take back not telling Dream of their child and the fear said child feels toward him, he swears to perform for him one last time to make up for it before they return to Paris to avoid hurting him further. Meanwhile, Dream vows everything he’s worth in the world to be the child’s once he’s gone even if he can’t be his father, and Fundy isn’t happy to hear that in the slightest because he will have nothing after all the sacrifice he’s made for Dream. All of the sleazy deals and late nights in his dressing room plying people for Dream’s success, and he will get nothing - his mind is just too fragile to face that reality at this point without doing something rash.
Naturally, Wilbur has no clue about any of this at first and makes a drunken deal with Dream regarding George - if George sings for him, he and the child will stay with Dream and Wilbur will leave. If George doesn’t sing, he and the child will leave with Wilbur with all of their debts wiped away as not to burden their family further with his problems. Wilbur then proceeds to try his best to convince George to stay with him by using nostalgia yet again since he now knows who the child belongs to as well, but in the end, George realizes that although he may have loved Wilbur at one time, his love for Dream transcends all that and has never once wavered despite everything they’ve been through. Throughout everything, Dream has always been there waiting for him and wants nothing more than for George and their child to have the life they deserve - Wilbur lost all of that a long time ago. George makes his choice, and Wilbur leaves as promised with the acceptance that he while no longer makes George happy, Dream does and he’ll take care of him - but the child, however, leaves with a distraught Fundy seeking to “right his problems.”
They manage to catch up to Fundy in time to avoid disaster, but not completely as he still views George as the reason he could never be happy with Dream and winds up fatally shooting him in the midst of a mental breakdown. Dream can do nothing but hold George - the man he loved and was finally loved by in return  - as it’s revealed to the child who his real father is, only for him to flee the scene in horror of the truth. For once, Dream is at a loss for what to do because there isn’t any more time for them to have their happy ending and he hasn’t any idea what to do about their child without George. In his dying moments, George soothingly reminds him of one simple fact: Love never dies, and the best thing he can do is just live and give everything he can for both himself and the child now as all they have is each other. With a final kiss, George slips away and a sobbing Dream is left cradling his body when the child and Wilbur - who he ran to find to help George after he was shot - arrive on the scene.
Dream isn’t cruel. He understands how Wilbur must feel in the same situation, so he allows him to mourn the loss of George in his own way with the child as he contemplates whether or not he can continue on. While he debates what to do with himself, the child slowly comes to him unafraid and willing to face the man he now knows to be his father in a new light. In his eyes, Dream can see George, and that’s more than enough for him to stay just a little longer in the world.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry if that’s a lot to process and read through, but it was a lot to get out and I wanted to be crystal clear on things as not to confuse people. This is for the most part just hitting the main plot points of the musicals, however, tweaking and adjustments and further deep-dive analyses can be done now that I’ve gotten the main idea out of the way. I definitely don’t want to stick too strictly to it myself and want to tailor it more to the SMP events and characters, but I’ll save that for later since it’s already super late and I should be writing my fic instead.
Happy writing kiddos, thank you for letting me indulge myself with this concept and I hope you enjoyed it~ <3

Word Count: 3.1k
Summary: You and Jeno have always had a complicated relationship, but time is running out
Or
Jeno is in love with you, but can never express it the way he needs to
Notes: this one kinda hurt me to write ngl,,,I was real sad so I wrote it in one sitting
Please let me know what you guys think!!! I’m still pretty new to writing
---
Up until yesterday, it’s been months since you and Jeno have been in contact. Even though you go to the same school, you can’t help but think that he is avoiding you. If you’re going to be completely honest with yourself, he definitely is. Classic.
When you feel the slight pang of hurt ripple through your chest, you shake your head, trying to snap out of it. You rather not think about him right now. The 15 spotify playlists you embarrassingly curated denoting the emotional anguish of your most recent Jeno-filled-altercation was enough proof you’ve already spent too much time dwelling on this boy, who by the way, you’ve never even dated.
You have other things to worry about. College decisions are coming out soon, and it's absolutely imperative that you keep your grades in good standing. No school wants to accept a student just to find out that they’re a slacker. Better to be more upfront about you really are to the end, rather than to disappoint others later on.
Jeno’s idea of school is hitting his dab pen in the bathroom, and sitting through every class high. And apparently, his idea of romance is not doing anything about your ambiguous relationship, and telling you to break up with Jaemin after only a week into dating. It was unholy unfair to Jaemin, and it's not like he's had almost three years to tell you how he feels, only to always come whining to you when you’re with someone else. It was a little different last time though. This is your last year of high school, and you both know it. It’s unlikely you’ll ever have as much time to be with (or to avoid) him at such close proximity--you’re almost definitely going to college out of state. Jeno has told you many times your ass is smart enough to pull it off.
But that was months ago, things have since died down and there is no use dwelling on the past. You’ve cried enough tears, and you’re tired of waking up with puffy eyes that look like you have been stung by an angry bee hive because of it. According to Renjun, Jeno had stopped sulking in his library during his free period and started playing computer games with him again. See? It’s a thing of the past.
But that didn't stop you from occasionally calling him late at night in your many moments of weakness. I mean, it doesn’t really matter if you’re always met with a dial tone right? If he doesn’t pick up, it’s like you never called in the first place. The end always justifies the means.
You don’t know why it took you so long to figure out that if you really missed him that  much, you should have probably just shot him a text instead of randomly calling him in the middle of the night. Jeno, like with school, is never prepared for anything. Even if he picked up, he’d probably just stay silent. It happened that one time he actually did pick up, both of you silent, not knowing to say in the moment (silence could also hardly be considered a phone call).
Tumblr media
Looking down at your most recent conversation, you sigh. Even before things became so messed up, you valued his companionship. Things are obviously still tense between you two--you don’t know why you even try.  Jaemin wouldn’t be too happy about it either.
                                                                              ...
“It just makes me feel like shit when I hear people telling me like, ‘Oh you stole Jeno’s girl.’. You’re my girlfriend, not his.” Jaemin scoffs. His grip on the steering wheel tightens, along with his hold on your hand.
In an attempt to soothe your angry boyfriend, you rub your thumb over your interlaced fingers soothingly. “I know, I know. I can’t help it if we have history Jaemin, people like to talk.”
“I had a talk with Renjun the other day about you and Jeno, and all the shit he was saying. I thought he was my friend.”
Although he was good friends with both boys, Renjun was admittedly closer to Jeno than Jaemin and there was more to his actions than it seemed just though looking at the surface. He was your closest mutual friend to Jeno, and knew more than anyone about the complicated relationship between you two--maybe a little too well. He respected the decision you made, but it was clear that he thought things should have ended differently.
                                                                          …
When you first see Jeno outside of the glimpses you see in the school hallway, he looks different. His hair is styled differently, with the wispy blonde hair of his hair framing his forehead quite nicely.
Jeno’s eyes quickly flutter to the ground when you look at him, finding a sudden interest in the rocks on the ground. For a boy who treats his shoes like they’re his babies, he’s awfully unconcerned with the scuff marks that begin to appear on his Air Force Logos when he digs a rock into the ground.
“Where do you want to eat?” you ask, walking around him to open the passenger seat of his car.
Jeno looks like he regrets ever even agreeing to meet you for lunch in the first place, with his eyebrows furrowing and as indicated with the speed in which he gets in his new BMW.
“Chick-Fil-A.” He mumbles, pressing the start button on his car.
“Unbelievable. You want to go to Chick-Fil-A? ” you scoff. “We always go to Chick-Fil-A. Don’t you ever get tired of chicken?”
Granted, it’s been months since you’ve been there together, but you at least expected some variety. There’s been a lot of buzz about the Popeyes chicken sandwiches these days.
“No, but I get tired of you whining about my food choice when you asked for my opinion in the first place.”
And just like that, like old times, you both bicker on the car ride to Chick-Fil, this time about chicken sandwiches.
When you finally get to Chick-Fil-A, you manage to order your food without any major altercations, save a blazing glare you shoot Jeno when he says “Ranch is disgusting” when you ask for it to go with your nuggets.
As you sit down and dig into your food, you attempt to make small talk about your post high school plans.
“University of Buffalo?” you say with a mouthful of fries. “I thought you wanted to stay in state.”
“Yeah I do. But I thought it would be smart to keep some options open”
“Lee Jeno, keeping his options open? Being prepared?” you tease.
His cheeks flush in embarrassment, and you can’t help but admire how pretty he looks, with sunlight shining on his frame. His lashes are long, and with the way the light is hitting his face, his brown eyes are like pools of  dark honey.
Suddenly becoming hypersensitive to the boy in front of you, and you quickly change the subject.
“How’s your cousin Jinyoung? I haven’t seen him since I last visited your aunt’s restaurant. He was nice enough to me some free dishes off the menu. I told him he needs any help with his college applications he can ask me.”
Jeno stays quiet, picking at his food as you blab about his cousin. Although you’ve only met him once when he came to visit from New York City, he was a sweet boy and you guys kept in contact. Dismissing it as part of Jeno’s natural propensity towards being quiet, you chatter on for a little while longer until you ask him, “why aren’t you saying anything?”
“Jinyoung died four months ago.” He says in a low voice, lowering his gaze to his lap.
Although there were a handful of others eating their lunch in the restaurant, you can barely process the background chatter as a small noise begins to ring in your ears. “What happened?”
“He was diagnosed with cancer, but he didn’t really tell anyone, ” he said in between sips of his drink . “he was in remission for a while but it came back really bad.”
“He has a younger sister right? It must be hitting her really hard.”
Jeno stays quiet as you fall silent, fidgeting with your fingers on the wooden table. Both of you don’t have much to say as your eyes begin to water in the middle of a Chick-Fil-A.
Jeno places his hand over yours in comfort as he looks out the window. Life is short, and you can’t help but think how much time you have with him.
                                                                   ...
Weeks pass, and although Jaemin isn’t exactly overjoyed about the fact that you’ve been seeing Jeno regularly again, he accepts it as what he understands it is--two friends reconciling and just hanging out, which you are eternally grateful for. The issue is that being friends with Jeno is never being just friends. You two have too much history for that. Everyday, the bottled feelings left unresolved over the years are at risk of exploding at any moment--it’s only a matter of time.
You know you’ve got it bad when you find yourself checking your phone for his messages, or smiling at the thought of him. It’s everything--from the way he picks you up in minutes after an argument with your mom, to the way he drapes his heavy lined jean jacket over you during a particularly cold night.  No matter how hard you tried to suppress it, or how much you thought it would work, it was already over from the start. Even earlier when you two acted like strangers and the days you never even thought onnce about him, he was still in your dreams at night. But this time, Jeno is very much real, and alive in the flesh in front of you. And you don’t know if you want to admit to yourself that these feelings for Jeno are also very much real.
You finally decide to tell him when college decisions come out, after you get into your dream University. Graduation was nearing and it meant new beginnings. No matter how deeply rooted Jeno was in your heart, you needed to let go of the things that were holding you back. At least, it's what you’re telling yourself.
“Jeno...” your voice falters, “I can’t keep doing this with you..”
There’s an unspoken understanding between you two as Jeno runs his fingers through your hair to soothe you, and tells you not to cry while you cry. It’s the middle of the night when you tell him you love him. You should be home. You should be with Jaemin.
On the car ride home, Jeno stays silent.
                                                              …
Jeno calls you when you get home to check on you. When you start to cry again he stays silent for a moment.“Don’t be sad’ he murmurs. We have a lifetime to figure things out.”
You only cry harder at his words.
When your sniffles begin to subside, and you’re sound asleep in no time (not a surprise to Jeno, considering all the emotional turmoil you’ve faced tonight) Jeno sighs. He can’t help but feel selfish. Every time you tell him you want nothing more for him to be happy, Jeno’s moral compass can’t help but tear a little at the seams. You seem unaware that to him, happiness is being with you. But Jeno can’t have you. He knows that. They say that if you really love something, you need to let it go. But this is something he isn’t ready to let go of just yet.
A few weeks ago when you two went out to eat, he notices that he always lets you choose the song on the way there, and what you want from the menu.
“You know all the things we’re ordering are yours right?”
You begin to apologize, but you’re soon distracted by the special drink menu the waiter drops on the table.
When your eyes light up at the silly lightbulb boba drink you plan to take home to  your sister, Jeno just sighs and pays for the meal.
On the car ride home, your shared favorite songs play, and he doesn’t say a word to you. Jeno isn’t the best driver, and you vocalize that by nearly blowing his ear off when he brakes a little too fast at the red stop light. When you grab his hand for support, he lingers a little longer before he lets go. Like usual, he panders around your neighborhood when your house draws close, purposely taking the long way home. Jeno thinks about it some more when he waits for you to walk through the door of your house before driving off.
Jeno always tells you he loves you when it’s too late. When you get your first boyfriend, he gets a girlfriend and tries to forget about you. It’s painfully obvious how he feels when he not so jokingly tells you to dump that “skinny bean pole” for him. He hates himself for taking you for granted when you broke up with said boyfriend around the time his girlfriend dumps him, telling him “I know you just aren’t happy”. For telling Renjun “Don’t worry about it, I know she loves me.” when he tried to warn him about Jaemin’s budding romance with you, even pleaded for him to make his move. It seems that everyone knows what to do with his feelings better than himself, and all he knows how to do is reap the consequences.
He usually doesn’t have much to say. But tonight, over the phone, he tells you that he loves you. He tells you that he sees you in his future, and to him, you’re like no other. Jeno tells you that he knows you never meant to hurt him, but he’s been hurting for a while, and he can’t stand to see you with someone else.
But you’re asleep, and you can’t hear him. For the longest time, Jeno has wanted so badly to show you his whole heart. This situation you two are in  isn’t what he wants and he knows you feel the same. He wants to stop being on his Mac Demarco shit, to man up and tell you clearly how he really feels, and maybe, have you be his girlfriend, you know-- instead of messing with some other guy’s girl.
Even through all of this, Jeno has learned a little secret about love. To love you was never about having you.
                                                                ...
Twirling in your red dress, your arm wraps around Jaemin’s neck. It’s prom, and graduation is right around the corner.  Smiling, you think to yourself that you have finally succeeded, the end is near. Laughing, gazing, looking up at a face smiling back. But for a split second, you don’t see Jaemin’s face in front of you. You see Jeno.
The memory of the first day, when his laugh over the phone meant something more to you. His voice brings about some of the happiest times you’ve ever known. Memories of the small moments--late nights--a soft smile--a teasing voice--the warm heat on your face in the midst of a teasing comment, and a boy with a subtle charm to find the way through.
Spontaneous trips and laughter, the occasional periods of silence when the both of you were fed up--people who understood you two, but only enough to get in the way.
The light nod of your head when it first found its way to your shoulder, and the dull feeling of yearning it left when it was gone.
You’re at a children’s playground, and you whine about wanting to fly a kite even though you’re nearly 18. Jeno teases you for being a kid, and for even trying when there was hardly any wind out. When you suggest that he run from behind and try to fly the kite with you, you scold him for the third time that it would only work if he ran slower than you. Jeno laughs and you feel your heart tug a little.
You’re devastated, and when Jaemin asks you if something is wrong, all you do is rest your face in the crook of his neck. You don’t want him to see you crying. You hate yourself for doing this to him. You’re not really a religious person, but sometimes at night, staring into the darkness and slightly trembling, you ask God to make it stop. It hurts. You don’t know how it feels for Jeno. You knew every decision you would make wouldn’t be fair to anyone. What do you do? How will you know? Will you ever know?
You don’t want to admit that might have known all along. You know you’ve known all along. To you, there is no one like Jeno. There is no one like him you’ve ever met that has made you feel this way, and if you weren’t with him, then you would spend your entire life searching in vain. You want to be with him so badly, that when you think about it, your heart grows impossibly heavy. But at the same time, you feel free. The timing is never right. You’re with the wrong people. You’re doing it all wrong. He’s doing it all wrong. We’re doing it all wrong.
You can’t stop thinking about him in the most difficult way. When you suppress him consciously, he shows up in your dreams, smiling, glowing. Ruffled hair, eye smile and all. You can’t help but think about him every night, and when you see something that reminds you of him. Jeno reminds you of everything sad, everything hard, and at the same time, everything easy. He makes your heart feel so heavy, but also at peace. When he told you that you two had a lifetime to figure it out, you want to believe that if it was meant to be, it would happen. But that’s the hardest part. You don’t know what will happen.
Right now, you know one thing, and you know that you love him. You love him so much it brings you to tears. It makes your hands tremble, your body tremble, your heart tremble. You have such a love for Jeno that even if it wasn’t meant to be you wouldn’t care. You want Jeno to be happy. You want him to be healthy, not do stupid shit, and you want him so badly to love you too, and it would be okay if that didn’t happen. You’ve been delaying it-- you always say to yourself and everyone else you need time. You’ll sit on it, think about it, leave it for later. But it’s been months, and years, and you’re right back at the starting point.
Everytime you tried to convince yourself you weren’t in love, it felt like a dark shadow would cast over you. Because every time you tried to convince yourself you weren’t in love, you realized every bit of you knew you were.
Jeno is your best friend, part of your happiness, and he is your first real love. It’s something you can say with a certainty you’ve never had before.
                                           …
Jeno can feel his heart tear into shreds when he sees you and Jaemin so close. You look beautiful. So beautiful. You’re going away to your dream college and he’ll be many, many miles away from you. Jeno’s cheeks prickle with warmth as his eyes begin to dappen. His heart sinks, just to bobble back up with an expected disbelief. He thought he knew what was coming.
“There are other things to do without me.” he had told you in the car that night, but the truth is, Jeno doesn’t want to do anything without you. He’s loved you since he met you, and he’s not quite sure that will ever change.
It always hurts. but that's because love isn't perfect, Jeno thinks. He may move on days from now, maybe weeks from now, and could realize he never really loved you.
If he truly loves you, it's never going to be okay, but it will get better. It will get easier. He will be able to go on.
You might creep into his mind years from now when he finally thought he was over you.
And that's okay, that's what love is.
It's when his memories come back to him 5 years later, when he wonders how you're doing, maybe if you think about him a little too. But it won't hurt nearly as much and he will realize all that heartbreak did something to heal him.
It's always hard, he thinks, as he walks out of the Prom venue. But he promises himself that it will always get easier.

Favorite Place, Chapter 3 (Crygi) - Lily Bee
AO3 LINK
Chapter Summary: Coffee and headache pills can cure any heartbreak, right?
A/N: i’m not even sure what to put in these notes anymore ahh but thank you for the love on this story its so fun to write! this chapter is mostly just a filler i promise we will get back to the actual book store part of this book store au soon !! in the meantime check out my tumblr & thank you so much jazz for editing as always ily
Gigi woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache.
Memories of the following night came flooding in: seeing her boyfriend with that other woman, running out, driving, the book store, Crystal. Fuck, Crystal. She was in Crystal’s apartment, on her couch. Her head began to ache more. She pushed herself up resting on her arms as she glanced around the room. No sight of Crystal.
Gigi fumbled around the couch trying to find her phone. She hadn’t looked at it since before she got to her boyfriend’s house, turning it off immediately after running off. There were thousands of missed messages from her friends.
“Where are you?!?!!” she read from Jan.
From Jackie: “We’re worried about you!!”
Heidi followed suit, sending a brief “^^” when Gigi didn’t respond.
They were all worried. It was unlike Gigi to not be on her phone, messaging them every detail of her life. Her head started to ache more just looking at the bright phone screen. She typed a bullshit response saying she would explain more later. Right now all she needed was some Tylenol and a coffee.
Gigi forced herself off the couch and towards the kitchen. Crystal’s kitchen was a mess—well, at least in Gigi’s standards. The counter top was covered in books, stationary supplies, and an assortment of papers filled with doodles and mindless writing. The fridge was dotted in magnets from places she had traveled and magnetic letters spelled out to say her name in the bright font. The cabinets had notes from what she assumed to be her friends spilled across them.
Luckily for Gigi, there was a coffee machine too. Gigi sludged over to the counter and peered at a note posted on the coffee machine.
Gigi,
I’m sorry to have run out, I’ll be back shortly. Please make yourself at home.
Crystal <3
Crystal seemed to have a lot of trust leaving Gigi alone in her apartment. But, there was coffee here for her so what was the worst she could do?
She had just started brewing herself a pot when the door swung open, letting air into the apartment.
“Good morning!” Crystal beamed. She bounced into the kitchen holding a small bag. She placed it on the kitchen counter and revealed two blueberry scones.
“I was nervous you would be hungry and I didn’t have much food here,” Crystal spoke as she took a seat.
“Thank you,” Gigi responded. “Do you happen to have any headache pills by chance?”
“Yes!” She got up and rushed around the corner, disappearing farther into the apartment. She reappeared with pills in hand, grabbing a glass from the cabinet and filling it up in the sink.
“Here,” she said, extending the items to Gigi.
Gigi took the glass and swallowed the pills gratefully. She didn’t really know what to even say to Crystal now—considering she’d only met her yesterday, cried in her bookstore, blabbed about her entire life, then slept in her house. Theoretically, that would be a good place to start. Instead, she asked something simpler: “So, do you work today?”
“I don’t, actually. I work most days, but I’m able to make my own schedule, and decided that I needed a day off.”
Gigi hoped that she didn’t take off just because of her. She would hate to be the reason Crystal wasn’t getting hours. “I feel like it would be fun to work at a bookstore,” Gigi confessed.
“It’s fun most of the time. I’ve worked at a bookstore most of my life and I’ve met some amazing people, but it has its disadvantages too.”
“Like what?” Gigi questioned.
“Well, I come home, exhausted and drained from a day of hearing customers tell me why independent bookstores are going extinct, how they’re just going to go home and order that book I couldn’t find for them off Amazon, and that no one reads books anymore anyway,” Crystal complained.
“Oh, I didn’t realize,” Gigi uttered. “That must get annoying to hear all the time.”
“It is, but I love my job. I just get to read all the time and express my love for literature to anyone willing to listen. I also drink a lot of coffee.” Crystal smiled. “I can’t help it! The whole place smells like warm chocolate coffee goodness and I get 50% off in the cafe! I rub the spines of books like I’m in a movie and not on the clock and I read the backs of books when I should be shelving.”
Gigi listened to her every word, admiring the way she was so passionate about her job. She spoke with so much confidence and joy. Gigi only wished this was the way she came across to others.
“Okay, now that’s why it sounds like fun. I need to read more,” she admitted.
“You should! I can always recommend you books,” Crystal grinned.
“Thank you,” Gigi replied.
She took a seat at the counter next to Crystal as she began to drink her coffee and eat her scone. The pair started exchanging words, neither of them bringing up the events of the previous night. They just spoke as if they had been close friends for ages. Gigi talked about her friends and filled Crystal in on her own job.
Gigi worked as a fashion illustrator, she told Crystal. She worked with designers to create conceptual sketches and illustrations of their fashion products, including clothing, shoes and accessories. In addition, she produced advertising copy and images for promotional material for print. She always wanted to work in fashion and was fortunate enough to get a job that she loved, and that paid well, too.
“It’s insane,” Gigi explained about her job. “I work with some of the most amazing designers in New York, yet some of their designs are hideous!” She laughed at herself. “I swear I could do better than half of them.”
“I bet you could.” Crystal beamed. “Do you have designs? I would love to see them!”
“I do! Next time I’ll definitely have to show you.” Gigi blushed.
Next time, Crystal thought. There was going to be a next time; she was going to get to see Gigi again.
Crystal gladly listened to Gigi go on about her life. It was nice to see her so happy compared to yesterday. The pair managed to lose all track of time, their conversation lasting into the early afternoon. They sipped their coffee, and eventually raided Crystal’s pantry for more snacks.
“As much as I’m enjoying this, I really need to get my stuff from his house,” Gigi conceded. She was not in the mood to see him. She wished to never have to see him again, if she were being honest. She just hoped she could get in and get out easily.
“We could teepee his house,” Crystal suggested with a devilish smile. Gigi couldn’t help but laugh. It wasn’t such a bad idea.
“I couldn’t,” she managed to get out between laughs. “Lovely suggestion, though.”
“Of course,” Crystal beamed. “I’ll let you go, I got to finish my book anyway.”
“We should hang out again sometime.” Gigi admitted. “I’ve been happier today than I have been in a while.”
Crystal could only imagine how mentally drained Gigi must have been from her relationship.
“Yes, we definitely should!” Crystal affirmed. Neither of them moved from their spot in the kitchen, just sat in comfortable silence.
After a few minutes, Gigi finally stated, “Okay, I’m going.” She stood up and headed towards the front door. With a hand on the knob, she turned around to face Crystal and said, “Thank you for everything again… I’m not quite sure what I would have done without this.”
“Anytime! Don’t hesitate to reach if anything is wrong when you get there,” Crystal said. “Here, give me your phone. I’ll give you my number.” She extended her arm.
Gigi placed her phone in Crystal’s hand. “The password is 1111,” she admitted.
“Wow, how secure,” Crystal laughed. She went to the contacts app and put in her name in Gigi’s phone with about seven hearts after.
“Here,” she said, throwing the phone back. Gigi let out a little yelp as she tried to catch it mid-air.
“Thank you,” she breathed. With a small smile, she added, “You’ll definitely be hearing from me."

Heya! welcome to the masterpost I’m making to keep track of how I view my Wandersong AU that I’ve dubbed
Eya-Born
Read below!
Concept
The concept of this AU is very simple! Kiwi -- our Bard-- is a being made directly from Eya. That is to say, they are basically a demi-god.
Tumblr media
When setting up to finally have the passing of the Universe -- Singing her song again-- Many know of the Hero who is sent to usher out this task within its final moments.
What if, before even that prophetic dream and entities start truly deteriorating-- She made a being to also challenge the idea with the knowledge of the ever so elusive Earthsong. That’s where this AU comes in!
Beginning
Eya created a being to see how much the world truly is in disarray and attempt to remedy it in their own way. A being free from fate. Free-will was her emphasis... as well as her attunement to magic-- which by default meant music.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They were sent to the Earth the Wandersong Universe knows... Specifically to a woman living in a city in the midst of industrial change. Riddled with loneliness due to a husband who got too into his work and guilt.
Tumblr media
Seeing such an ailed child on her doorstep, a scenario one only hears in fairytales... She took the child in wholeheartedly, worrying who would leave them in such a state. After searching for the origins to no avail, she decided to raise them as her own.
Under the name Jack. Named after the fabled protagonist of many fairytales and rhymes... it seemed fitting based on their circumstances.
Tumblr media
And thus, begins the bard’s life.. full of normality in every sense of the word.
Tumblr media
....almost every sense of the word.
The magical properties of their music were always something they grew up with. Though, it didn’t do too much... Their mother assumed that the child was most likely part witch. As simple as that.
As least... as simple as trying to mask their child’s slightly pink tinged hair with several different hats upon growing up. Thankfully, Chismest was starting its headstrong course on being perpetually cold and gloomy by the bard’s early years and being bundled up was definitely inevitable indoors and out.
Cutting forward to the events of Wandersong, many of everything ended up panning out the same. The prophetic dreams, ghastly encounters, universal fates amounting to nothing, so on and so forth...
Tumblr media
The not-so-Earthsong was sung. The world was saved... the zip and zap from the dreamtower was done and the dialogue with Eya congratulating them begins. However... as she starts prepping to send them off. A rumble occurs... the clouds separate and palms grasp the platform the three of them stand on.
Reunion

(ok end back to writing)
Kiwi then began-- as Eyala once put it-- “vicariously feeling Eya’s love through everything in the world” (paraphrasing this btw)
However, there’s... quite a lot of love to feel. Especially when you’re not used to it. That happiness... that joy... starts feeling a bit weird when you can’t turn it off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Needless to day Kiwi didn’t adapt well.
Though... Eya, in all her overseeing capabilities... seemed to have a detached reaction to the whole situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Oh fine fine...” she waved her hand slightly... the hue in Kiwi’s face settling a bit, though their face still bore an expression that showed they were still under some of the emotional weight of the whole thing.
“I suppose it is a bit much all at once... You’d probably be better off having it opened but unleashed through your own discoveries.”
Before Miriam could question further, the goddess’ gaze shifted to that of her Angelic assistance, who was watching the whole thing rather speechlessly.
“Eyala, dearest...” the melodic voice of Eya’s godly tones spooled out toward her, “I’m putting you in charge of guiding them through the basics.”
“M-Me, Eya?” She hesitantly replied, “I mean... of course!” she sputtered out.
“Eeeeeeexcellent” she chimed, “We can see they’re already experiencing increased empathy... maybe in due time they’ll be able to discover their other properties. The bard may excel beyond your basic prowess later on, Eyala, but your knowledge is a wonderful base for the poor dear...”
Eyala wordlessly nodded, clearly not about to speak up about the whole ordeal Kiwi had gone through in front of the goddess herself,
“In any case... I am greatly pleased with your performance, child. As a reminder, this is my gift to you. The locks are now undone... all that is needed is for you to learn. Maybe then you’ll be ready to take it in this way.” she smiled, eye crinkling with pleasure as Miriam helped Kiwi to their feet,
“Eyala will assist you in any way she can... She’ll probably teach you how to contact her with ease after this. However, I must leave you now... re-establishing the universe that was saved and all” she chuckled about it, hair slowly enveloping her face before she began receding into the clouds once more.
The godly presence left in an instant, leaving the trio to stand bewildered on the platform once more.
“So...” Eyala began.
“...Is she... normally like that?” Kiwi wheezed out, finally gathering their bearings.
“Yeah... she didn’t sound empathetic like the tales blab about her being.”
Eyala frowned at the two of them and clapsed her hands together, “She tries her best... but, she doesn’t get to experience things as much as she used to. Though, her love for everything is still here...”
The angel sighed and floats closer to Kiwi, holding their face slightly. A bit more tenderly than the goddess did to them previously,
“We’re gonna make this easier for you, lil’ B. I promise.”
Learning
Kiwi-- being a direct piece of Eya as opposed to a simple messenger like Eyala-- had a lot more going for them in terms of connections to things. As someone who normally was pretty darn good at burying their feelings into the dirt, suddenly feeling a good amount of what everything else did along with their own weird doubts was quite a bunch to take in.
They went through with their hellos and good-byes, keeping their misty tears in as best they could. They met up with their mother during... trying desperately to hold their tongue as she rambled on about their ‘long lost’ father finally come home... hoping all of them could live normal again. That they could be normal.
They were whisked home in the  late evening after staying with Miriam for dinner... holding her closer than ever in their ever-so-tired arms... before letting her drift into the night sky and drift to their bed.
Only to be unable to sleep due to all the sudden emotions they felt. Realizing... ever suddenly.. a lot of them were from the people they interacted with. It was like having thousands of voices and waves of feelings hit you in a chaotic, nonsensical cacophony. It all felt like static, their brain muddled with thoughts not quite their own. They shook their head and for the first time in a while... they cried.
They felt the immense weight of these feelings drag down their face, the tears building and washing over their cheeks relentlessly. They couldn’t tell if they were happy, scared, or sad. Or if it was even them that felt this way.
A hand touched their shoulder, a familiar glow next to them. Kiwi needn’t even look to know it was Eyala again. checking in on them, most likely.
“Hey... Lil’ B.” her voice whispered, “I know it’s... a lot. You’re being left on a pretty bad note.” Kiwi turned,, face still full of tears and their voice caught in their throat from.. well... everything. They simply nodded in agreement.
Even Eyala could see the visible strain on Kiwi’s face.. and very well knew the reason why, “ Here. Let’s start with this instead... and I can help with the contact stuff tomorrow. We gotta help you filter this all out.” She held their hands in hers, rubbing their palms with her thumbs, “Just... focus on me. Okay? It helps to have something to think about other than people... “
Kiwi nodded... and looked Eyala over. Her hair effortlessly floating behind her in its usual ever-shifting hue... her smile, small, but visible. They could read the concern on her despite having most visible features omitted... Eyala was good at that. Expressing herself through motion and all. It reminded Kiwi of themself.
Without realizing it-- they found their head suddenly empty... well. mostly. There was still that static tingle in the back of their head. Near their neck, it felt. Almost like forgetting something important... but they pushed it down. Much like anything else they felt in the past... and let out a shaky sigh.
“That better...?”
Kiwi nodded again, looking at their hand for a sense of stability now.
It glowed... not much but. It was just a tinge... ever slightly lighter than the darkness surrounding them and Eyala, “So...” they scratchily started, “I’m really...”
“A real child of Eya. Not just in... like... a collective universe sense. Yeah.”
“Wow...”

Like Petroleum & Water - Chapter 1
Based on the prompt/AU idea by @skygemspeaks: https://skygemspeaks.tumblr.com/post/189686838998/you-know-what-dr-stone-modern-au-where-all-the
Summary: Senkuu’s new stepmother Lillian comes a family...a large, Southern one. And while Senkuu may have dreamed of going to space to explore another planet, he didn’t think that alien planet would be West Virginia.
Sure he and Byakuya were still going to live in Japan full-time, he didn’t have to move there; they just had to visit for one month every year during the summer after they got married. Lillian wanted a low-key family wedding without all the fuss of the media, so she was secretive about any details in interviews.
Of course, Lillian had told Byakuya who blabbed excitably about all the details to Senku, but luckily for the newly-engaged couple, the teen prodigy didn’t care about leaking any of the info to the media.
“I just dan’t wanna get my loved ones involved in all that drama, y’know? I just wanna have a nice time with the folks that made me who I am. I might have a big celebration afterward, but really deep down I guess I’m still a hometown girl. Sure, I could hire a big city caterer, have big names come to it, have a big giant cake the size of the moon, have everything big-big-big. But...that’s just ain’t who I am. It just wouldn’t feel right. I made a promise before my first major concert at 14 in Morgantown, home to my home state’s biggest university music program, to my aunt that she’d be the one that’d make my wedding cake, and I wanna keep that. She was my first official voice coach once she heard about how much all the kids on the street loved my singing. I owe it to her.”
When pop idol Lillian Weinberg posted her engagement photos with her and Byakuya in the ISS on her Instagram. The video of the engagement ring fluttering in zero-gravity until it moved towards Lillian, who slipped it on and embraced the Japanese astronaut got billions of views.
By the time the ISS returned, Bakuya was an international sensation and people were flocked to his university office. The school security had to actually train to themselves to deal with pesky paparazzi.
The world Senkuu inhabited was shattered like someone had taken their bare hands to a statue and crushed it like an egg. The other astronauts were clapping in the videos. Everyone in his class went ballistic.
Literally ballistic, too; one of Yuzuriha’s friends named Nikki threw her eraser so fast across the classroom in utter shock that it matched the trajectory of an arrow at about 27.3 mph. “Oh my God! Senku, this is your dad, isn’t it?”
Senkuu shifted his head over. “Yeah, that’s him, alright.”
“I can’t say that I blame Lillian, he’s a lot hotter than you, Senkuu.” Nikki smiled, “Of course, I’m always a sucker for a five-o-clock shadow.”
“He’s also gotten pretty buff from all that astronaut training, too. Some of the gym photos show ‘em getting pretty jacked.”
“He has a rustic spice about him, but he’s also smart. He raised Senkuu on his own, so you know he’s family-orientated and doesn’t have issues with commitment. He has a steady job, too.” Another schoolmate gushed.
“Wait, weren’t you working on a bodysuit for him back in elementary school. You don’t happen to still have a model of that around, do you?”
“I’d prefer it if you don’t talk about my dad in front of me like he’s some top 10 movie star. Sweet Issac Newton, my old man is in his mid-forties! None of you thought he was hot before he hooked up with Lillian!” Senkuu’s face was beet red and sweat as he grasped his piece of chalk for dear life. “Alright, can we please go back to the parabola formula. It’s going to be on the final exam.”
After a frustrating pre-finals review, Senkuu left the school grounds on his own as he thought to himself. His arms were firmly planted in his lab coat. He pouted and scowled to himself, “Had I known that the main result of my old man getting into JAXA would be that he got to bang his favorite celebrity instead of getting some serious science work done, I wouldn’t have made that swimming suit-”
His monologuing was interrupted by Taiju and Yuzuriha. “Senku! Hey, congrats to your old man. Yuzu said that she’d make a custom tuxedo, so I kinda gave her your measurements. Sorry I didn’t ask you first-”
“Great, now even my two best friends wanna bang my future step-mom and by next school year, I’ll have to submit paperwork to change my name to ‘Senku Weinberg’. What a joke,” Senku groaned. “I even heard people are starting to fantasize about me, comparing my eyes to rubies! No one even cared about us before this!”
“Senku! You know I only love Yuzuriha. Also...you know I’ve always cared about you. Famous or not,” Taiju insisted.
“Then why haven’t you told Yuzuriha yet that you love her?”
“I...plan on it! I promise! After finals, and definitely by the time you get back from the wedding!”
“You better.” Senkuu gazed up at the sunset. He then high-fived his friend, “Don’t forget your summer homework assignment, big oaf.”
“I won’t!”
----
Getting to travel first-class was surreal, to say the least. Senkuu gazed out his window and calculated the seconds it’d take to get there or how high they were above ground by the centimeter. They transferred from Tokyo to New York to Huntington. From there it was an hour drive through the windy mountains that made Senkuu AND Baykuya nearly vomit from motion sickness until they finally arrived at Lillian’s hometown: Pickens, West Virginia. Population 40.
“Alright, y’all! We’re here.” Lillian turned to her fiancee and soon-to-be stepson.
“Here I thought the JAXA training was rough...,” Byakuya groaned.
“I figured I was going straight to Hell, but I didn’t think it’d be this soon,” Senkuu muttered to himself.
“GET UP!” Lillian kicked the car and shook them out of it. “Good grief, y’all need to build up some grit!”
“Darling!” A dark-brown haired middle-aged woman and embraced the pop singer. “Oh, I’ve missed you so much. I prayed for you constantly that you’d come back home.”
“Thanks, Auntie Turquoise!” Lillian jumped towards her aunt. “How’re Cousins Kohaku and Ruri? The trio o’ Ruby, Sapphire ‘n Garnet ain’t causin’ the sheriff too much trouble, are they?”
“Thankfully they’re not. Though boy is that Magma a whole wreck to deal with; he broke his DUI parole again yet he still drives through the town on his truck like it’s a NASCAR ring. He’s a headache.”
“Turquoise...? Lapis Lazuli?” Senkuu sat up.
“There’s not a lot of people ‘round ‘ere so we don’t really bother with last names. We just go by our favorite stone. Lillian Weinberg’s actually my stage name. I actually officially changed it in order to enroll in the ISS program, though. I’m the only person in this ‘ol town with a first and last name or to have left in more than 50 years.”
“The only person!?” Senkuu nearly choked. “And not only that, you made it to SPACE!? What even is this!?”
“Why did you choose ‘Weinberg’?” Byakuya asked.
“There’s a town just a few miles north ‘o ‘ere called Helvetia that’s a huge tourist trap since it’s all about Dutch and German heritage. Auntie Turquoise used to get me presents from there craftsmen there all the time. I’ll always treasure that wooden music box y’all got me when I started my first period.”
“Well, I couldn’t help myself for my favorite niece.” Aunt Turquoise smiled.
“We can swing by there sometime on our way back to the airport. I get the feelin’ y’all have had enough twirling for today.”
“Yeah,"
“What happens if more than one person has the same favorite stone?”
“Oh, Pastor Jasper keeps a record on that. If that happens, they pick the same name of the stone but in a different language. That’s why Kohaku and Ruri aren’t called ‘Amber’ and ‘Lapis Lazuli’."
“I-I guess.” Byakuya blinked.
“Well, what’re waitin’ in the car for? C’mon in!” Lillian picked both grown men up and carried them into the house.

Lee Daehwi - Banquet
Requested By: anonny~ (“ HOLA MI CHICA! can i request a Lee Daehwi fic where liKe it's kind of a romeo and juliet thing? where they like meet at a party and kiss but then he shows up by her balcony? ”)
Genre: Fluff, kind of cliche but it’s cute ;A;
Note: So at first I was thinking this would all be fine, but this fic got more involved than I was expecting. I’ve never really written royal!au type fics before, and this is kind of like that as it was requested for a Romeo and Juliet type of setting? Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy it! I hope that my struggles weren’t in vain xD As always, feel free to let me know what you think! ^^
Enjoy~

No matter how many times you attended these types of parties, you were never going to get used to them. Everyone was dressed to the nine, flaunting their gorgeous gowns, elegant overcoats, and finest jewelry. This wasn't the world that you were born into. So, each time, at your cousin's request, that you were put into a tight bodice, hair pulled back and styled, draped in a dress that was far more than anything your parents could afford with a year's worth of their pay, you always felt out of place. You were by definition, in every way, a commoner. You were a young girl born to two working-class parents. Your mother was a seamstress, and your father worked at the docks. You worked at a bakery in the middle of town, and in your eyes, there really wasn't anything extraordinary about you. You were just an average girl.
But tonight, you were dolled up, paraded around as if you were part of the elite.
You weren’t here because you wanted to feel the thrill of being at a big fancy party. You were here because of your cousin, Yuna. Unlike you, she was part of one of the most revered families in your tiny town, your aunt having married into the Duchess' family. She had everything she could have asked for. Wealth, the royal title, the ability to do whatever she wanted, and many other things. In contrast, you worked day in and day out to just afford necessities. Even though the two of you were very different, you were also very close. She never saw you as lowly, someone that was beneath her. Instead, she saw you as an equal in every way. The two of you would often spend any free time you had together. Which was also why you knew about her current dilemma. She was soon to be married, and you were the first one she came running to.
"I've barely thought of what I'm going to do when we travel to the next town over next week, and they want me to start thinking of marriage?! They already have everything planned out too!" she whined as the pair of you sat on her bed. Yuna pulled her legs up towards her torso, face buried in her pillow as she let out another muffled groan. You remained at your spot on the edge of her bed, straightening out her dress that was draped on the nearby chair.
“Do your parents know?” you inquired, flattening out the fabric before looking over at her. You heard her groan again as she nodded.
"They are most definitely aware. The issue is that my say doesn't matter. My father gave me the talk about how it's time for me to start thinking about the family's power, about expanding our roots. My grandparents think much of the same. My mother understands my concerns, but she also believes that it's time for marriage. Apparently, she also married around this age as well," Yuna explained, a pout forming on her lips. "I'm aware that people of my status are to be married off, to start their own families. Yet, there are things that I want to do for myself. These things don't occur to them..."
You gave a small nod in understanding. Truthfully, you could understand where here frustration was coming from. Though you were a couple years too young to be worrying about this just yet, your mother had been bringing it up more frequently. She told you of the time when girls were to be wed, about the process of finding the right suitor, and how the entire thing could be quite stressful on families. You would have preferred to meet someone by chance, but you knew that wasn't the world that you lived in, and that something similar to what Yuna was going through, but with less fanfare, would also be in your future. If you were lucky, you'd still end up with a nice boy from your town. "Is your marriage happening soon?" you asked.
Yuna let out a defeated sigh. "Unfortunately for me, it's happening very soon. They want to start introducing me to available suitors next week. The plan is to have five eligible young men from the surrounding towns come here to meet me. They want to through a large banquet, make a festivity out of it, just so I can see which one I'm compatible with, that we may be able to move forward with. I'm worried that I'll feel isolated, that I will not know anyone there. These are usually parties for people of our parents' age, not our own..."
"But your friends will be there, won't they? You won't be completely alone," you reminded her.
"They will, but I'm sure their parents will want them looking out for their best interests as well. They're my friends, but they are also carrying their own family's pride as well. It has me worried and nervous. What if this goes downhill?" she confessed, muddling over the event in her head. However, an idea seemed to strike her, and she sat up straight. "I know! Why don't you come to the banquet too!"
Your eyes widened as you tore your eyes away from the dress you were trying to work the wrinkles out of. This seemingly harmless conversation just turned into something more intense. “M-me? W-w-why would I go?!” you exclaimed, now in shock over her proclamation.
"Because we're close and I trust you. Look, everyone else that's going to be there has some sort of agenda. My parents are trying to marry me off. My friends will be trying to find someone for themselves. You're the only one who I know will be impartial during the entire process. Come on, as my cousin, please do this for me? I’m going to be nervous as it is and having someone that is both family and a familiar face there is going to help a lot. Please?” she urged, and that's all it really took for you to say yes. Within the week, your aunt helped to get you fitted for a dress. On the night of your aunt and mother worked to doll you up, much like they had your cousin.
Both your mother and aunt worked to make sure that you didn't outshine Yuna, and you were okay with that. After all, you weren't there to be noticed that night. You were there to be support for your cousin. You stood by her side throughout the night, listening as she conversed with suitor after suitor. From time to time, they would address you, and you were very quick to divert their attention back to Yuna. You listened as she giggled softly while speaking with three of them, giving them each a chance to woo her, to appeal themselves to her. You watched over her fondly, glad that she was starting to loosen up, not seeming as nervous as she had earlier in the evening. Though she gave you a scare earlier, by almost fainting, to see her now, talking happily with the young men, it made you happy, happy that she was finding her place.
Although tonight was about Yuna, about finding her a suitable husband, you felt a pair of eyes following you around all night. You knew exactly who it was, yet you couldn't figure out why he seemed so interested in you. Still, you looked away from your cousin for just a moment, just long enough to lock eyes with a gentle figure that had been glancing at you from across the ballroom. And at that moment, you realized that all it took to be enraptured by Lee Daehwi was a simple glance...
You had met Daehwi earlier in the evening. Your cousin had been conversing with her friends about things that didn't concern you. So to give them some privacy, you slipped away, wandering around the large ballroom to try and find a place to yourself. After weaving through the large crowd, greeting those that greeted you first, you found yourself in a far corner. It was just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd, but close enough where you could make your way back to Yuna if needed. The quiet was nice. It gave you a chance to collect yourself... at least until a voice to your side made you jump.
"I take that you're also trying to get away from all of the excitement?" He watched as you turned to him, eyes wide. He found your reaction amusing, eyes focusing on the way your demeanor quickly shifted.
"O-oh... well, I suppose you could say that," you replied with a light laugh. "I'm not really accustomed to banquets such as this one..."
The male quirked a brow at you. "You seem like a lady of high status. Don't you go to these types of events often?" he inquired. He had found you very lovely at first, but hearing that you weren’t used to this type of thing made you even more interesting to him.
You regretted the words as soon as they left your lips. Tonight, you were supposed to be one of them, to be regal like the other people in the room. Yet here you were, blabbing to a stranger that you weren't what you seemed. It was a bit too late to backtrack now, however. He would only grow suspicious of you if you did.
"You see," you started slowly, choosing your words carefully. "My cousin is Lady Yuna. Unlike her, I'm not part of the elite, but the two of us are fond of each other, we grew up together. I'm here tonight to give her emotional support while her parents introduce her to suitor after suitor." You realized that your words could be construed as false as if you were some commoner that just snuck in to enjoy the festivities, but you hoped that he didn’t take it in that way. He seemed kind enough. He wouldn’t… right?
The young male's brow furrowed at your words, yet as he thought of them, they felt plausible. After all, there was no way a commoner could sneak in dressed as well as you were. No, there was no way they would be able to afford the extravagant gown you had, the jewelry the adorned you. These were all tell-tale signs that someone wanted you here, and he was not about to question that.
"Your secret is safe with me," he reassured you. He watched as your lips curled into a smile, the most beautiful smile he had ever seen. At that moment, something struck his heart. It was a feeling that the young man had never felt before. Yet, he tried to ignore it for the time being. “My name is Lee Daehwi, and you are?”
You quickly told him your name as he gingerly took your hand and gave it a kiss, making you blush at the sudden contact. “Are you here to court Lady Yuna as well?” you inquired.
He shook his head gently. "I am not... currently. My parents sent me here to see who had sent their children to court her. They are interested in a marriage with her family though. They just don't want to rush it yet. You said you were close with Lady Yuna, yes? Maybe you could tell me a bit more about yourself, and about here as well?" he suggested. Though it was a little painful to know that you were a means to an end to get to know your cousin, you agreed. Because the truth was that you found the male before you entrancing. You found him more interesting than anything at this party.
You spoke with Daehwi for what felt like an eternity. At first, it was simple things. You talked about your upbringing as well as his own. You spoke a bit about your cousin, but the conversation quickly shifted off of her and back to you. You learned a lot about each other, things that you liked about each other. This no longer felt like a chance to gather information. It became about getting to know someone you had a connection with. But, before much could come of it - though you were sure nothing would - one of Yuna's maids appeared before you, requesting that you follow her. Your cousin had been looking for you and sent her maids around the ballroom looking for you. With a nod, you agreed to head back with her, and as fast as you had arrived in Daehwi's life, you were gone.
The majority of the evening from that point on was spent at your cousin's side. You often steal glances at Daehwi while he talked with other party attendees. To say that you felt something while the two of you talked would have been putting it mildly. You had grown fond of Daehwi. You had a bit of a crush, puppy love, for someone you knew didn’t feel the same about you. You pushed it aside as best you could, hid it behind a wall as your cousin told you of her evening, the people that she clicked with immediately as well as those she would like to avoid.
As the night drew to a close the ballroom floor came to life, each suitor offering their hand to Yuna for a final dance. You stood by, watching the spectacle in front of you before you felt a tap on your shoulder. Thinking it was one of the maids, you quickly turned, only to come face to face with someone you weren’t expecting.
“Daehwi!” you exclaimed, surprised to see him there with a smile on his face.
“Would you share this dance with me?” he asked, extending his hand to you.
You were hesitant to take his offer, knowing where you stood with him, but your heart told you to take the opportunity while you could, and you let him lead you into the crowd. He was quick to lead in the dance, holding you by the waist as he let you adjust to the tempo of the song. You had never been much of a dancer, but Daehwi was patient. Once you had found your way, he led you around the dance floor, holding you close as you moved amongst the other exquisite ladies and gentlemen.
"How has your night been?" Daehwi asked gently.
"It's been as expected. Been keeping Yuna company while she meets with person after person," you told him. Yet, this was when you realized something. "But, Daehwi, I realized that you haven't spoken to Yuna all night. I thought you were here to introduce yourself as well?"
A smile formed on his lips, obviously amused that you hadn't said anything about his absence earlier. “May I tell you the truth?”
You gave a small nod and he leaned in a bit closer to tell you his secret. You were on edge, but you wanted to know, your curiosity getting the better of you. “I was here to meet Yuna, but I believe that I met someone better… and she is here in my arms now.”
When his words resonated with you, your face turned a brilliant red, making the young man before you laugh. “Did you not notice that I would often purposefully avoid her?”
"I-I did, but I thought you were just biding your time," you admitted. "But Daehwi... you know the truth about me. You know that I'm no well-off. I work in a bakery. My parents work in the town..." you reminded him.
"I'm aware, but it's also what I like about you. Your outlook on life is completely different than girls that grew up as part of the court. You're kind, you're gentle. I've never met anyone like you." Daehwi knew that his words could have been taken as strong, insistent, but he couldn't help it. He liked you, and he didn't want to miss the opportunity to make it known.
“Even so, you can’t tell your parents that you fell in love with a commoner. They'll be upset.”
You were right. His parents would be livid. He came here to meet a noblewoman, and instead fell in love with a woman of a completely different class. “I know, but I… I want to make this work. Please let me try to convince them?”
Though reluctant and wary, you agreed. As you nodded, you felt a soft pair of lips against yours, sending a warmth straight to your heart. And that was how your night came to an end.
========
The festivities ended late into the evening, Yuna suggesting that you should stay with her and leave in the morning. You knew she wanted to do it to hear about what you thought of such a party, as well as to tell you who she had planned to meet again amongst her suitors. Noticing the change in your demeanor, how much happier you seemed, she also managed to weasel out of you the source of your smile. Nervously, you told her of her own run-in with a boy that had captured your heart in such a short amount of time. She kept telling you it was love at first sight, a true love, and you only brushed her off saying that she was being silly. There was no way. He would go home and completely forget about you.
While Yuna went to get ready for bed, you took the chance to wander out onto her balcony, needing some fresh air. Your mind wandered back to that dance, to that kiss, and you couldn't help the light flush that came to your cheeks when you realized how effortlessly your first kiss had been stolen.
As you looked below, watching as the other noble partygoers got into their carriages to head home, your eyes caught sight of a familiar male. He was about to get into the carriage just below your balcony. Feeling eyes on him, he looked up and locked eyes with you as he waited for his turn to enter. "Did you have a good night?" he called out, simultaneously making you smile and blush like mad.
“I did, thanks to a very special person,” you said back.
“I think you’ll be seeing that very special person again soon. Just keep your eyes peeled,” he told you, before disappearing into the carriage and riding off into the night.
It was weeks later, without hearing a word from him, that a large carriage appeared at your home. Daehwi stepped out from it and greeted your parents. He told them who he was, of his noble family and how he wanted to take your hand in marriage. He arrived with offerings to appease your parents. The rest of it was history. Because of that chance meeting away from the crowd, because of that connection you had with him, that was how the two of you could live happily ever after...

1. If you had to change your character’s FC for one day, who would you pick?
Oh gosh, I have absolutely no idea! None of my other usual or favorite go-to male FCs really would fit Pietro as well as I feel Aaron Taylor-Johnson does. I’ve been thinking for like an hour now as I work on the rest of these asks and I can’t think of anybody that would be better or even comparable. I guess I really just like ATJ’s interpretation of him that much, heh.
2. What drew you to rping this character?
I wasn’t overly attached to Pietro in the comics, tbh. I more liked him in association with Wanda (sometimes... when he wasn’t being a jerk to her, but let’s be real, she got her licks in too). But MCU Pietro felt like a very interesting reboot of the character for me, and because of the unfortunate way they killed him off so soon, it’s actually a writer’s dream as far as having a character so lacking in development that you can do so many different things with. Pietro had so much potential and so many different directions he could have gone in after Age of Ultron, and I found myself drawn to those possibilities and wanting to explore different AUs with him.
That’s the serious answer. The less-serious answer is that he was a constant pain in the ass on Wanda’s blog, like a true muse that was in my head and bugging me to be written whether I liked it or not, haha. I went from only writing Wanda, to writing Pietro as a guest muse on her blog, to considering just making it a duel blog, to now here we go and he got his wish with his own blog, heh. There are muses that I choose, and muses who choose me... and Pietro definitely chose me and would not shut up until I gave him his own blog, haha.
I think also there was an aspect of me wanting to write more of him aside from his sister. Wanda has many threads that have nothing to do with Pietro, and I wanted that same opportunity for development with Pietro. He wasn’t going to get that as a guest muse on her blog.
7. What’s a negative thing about your character that you enjoy writing?
Haha, just the fact that he’s a cocky, impulsive, hotheaded little shit, haha. I have the most fun with Pietro when he’s being a smart ass, whether it’s a crack thread just meant to be funny, a serious one in which he’s mouthing off or shirking duties, or a touching one where he’s trying to cheer up other characters or show off for ones he likes. Even though being loud, impulsive, and arrogant can be considered negative personality traits, there is something endearing about it with Pietro, at least in my opinion.
It’s one of the reasons why I prefer to age them down, as well, because I get the impression with MCU Pietro that he’s very young mentally speaking and has had a relatively sheltered life despite the few catastrophically outside the box events that have happened to him that have left him with a lot of issues. But as he grows and depending on the AU, those negative personality traits can take him in different directions. So to take a character with some negative traits and watch how he develops with them has been a lot of fun.
24. What’s your favorite AU?
Okay, Imma blab for a bit so get ready haha. So I don’t write this one on Tumblr because I don’t happen to write with any Tony Stark muns (yet... would love to though), but a friend and I have an AU going with TinyMaximoffs™ at age ten and Tony in which the twins are absolutely freaking adorable:
Tumblr media
The basic premise is this: The twins’ house is bombed during a conflict between U.S. allies and the Sokovian Army and their allies involving U.S. soldiers taken prisoner and a political mess that results in just a massive use of heavy ordinance from both sides. Their apartment building is gutted and their parents are killed by a bomb with Stark’s name on it... except in this AU, the name isn’t visible to the twins on the dud bomb that rests near them. So they do not immediately know Tony Stark is at least indirectly responsible for their parents’ deaths.
Now... enter Tony becoming involved through the Stark Relief Foundation and because he feels incredibly guilty at the loss of innocent life that’s occurring in Sokovia. He’s going around in his suit helping to extract trapped people... and he finds the twins. My twins happen to be mutants like in the comics, so my take on them is that their abilities are genetic and hereditary, and experiments just hasten the process of bringing those power out and making them stronger. So even at age ten, the twins could do certain things. Tony feels very guilty that these two young children have been so traumatized by being trapped under rubble for two days and is concerned as to what will happen to them now that they are orphans. He tries to ensure that they will get into some sort of adoption system and aren’t just left on the streets, and he makes sure they get to a hospital to treat some breathing issues that Wanda has and some wounds Pietro has from shielding Wanda from the collapsing rubble.
During the course of their hospital stay, Tony visits the twins mostly to calm his own conscience, but a sink hole opens up and partially collapses the hospital. Pietro rushes his sister to safety before grabbing Tony and dragging him to safety as well. Outed as having heightened speed and strength, Pietro is afraid, since both he and his sister have tried to keep their powers a secret lest they be harmed or hunted (Wanda was hunted for being a witch by age six). Tony, realizing that these children are special and need guidance and protection, ends up adopting them himself. He and Pepper become their adoptive parents, essentially. Without Hydra’s abuse and experiments in their lives, and starting much younger in a safe environment to explore and develop their powers, the twins develop much differently mentally and emotionally, which is super cool to play around with.
It’s an interesting AU because the original animosity the twins felt for Tony isn’t there, and this rescue situation at a time when they really need it ends up fostering a bond between the twins and Tony that never existed in canon. It also opens up a lot as far as redemption arcs for Tony, but..... it does leave the possibility for some very extreme angst later on if the twins should discover that it was actually Tony’s weapons that killed their parents. So I really love this AU because it turns canon just completely over and opens up so many opportunities for new interactions and interesting directions that never would have existed before. Also..... adorable Baby!Maximoffs slowly becoming Americanized and learning to use their powers in a protected and privileged environment, something so far from their very poor but loving Romani upbringing, leaves room for interesting situations and conversations about culture shock and how different the twins’ life perspectives would be from Tony and Pepper’s.

Your Gift Shines
Collin treasured the necklace Lloyd gave him, but isn't foolish enough to think it could mean anything more than a gift from his friend. He was just another boy that Lloyd felt he needed to protect, that was all. He could learn to be happy with that.
AU where Colette (named Collin) is a boy - but the feelings are the same.
Fandom: Tales of Symphonia Characters/Pairings: Lloyd Irving/Colette Brunel Rating: G Mirror Links: AO3 Notes: Because I had been thinking about possible Lloyd and genderbent Colette scenarios for a while, so here’s a tiny idea. But more importantly! Beautiful art of a scene from this story by @frayed-symphony!
Collin didn’t realize he had been fiddling with the necklace until he felt Genis’ eyes on him.
“Ah, sorry! Were you saying something?” he asked, looking to his friend.
Genis shrugged. “No, I was just going outside for some air. You alright though?”
Collin felt a little nervous, but covered that up with a smile, as he was used to always doing anyway. Good enough that maybe even Lloyd wouldn’t pick up on it. “No, I was doing the same. The night breeze feels really good!”
Ozette’s sole inn was small but it was within the forest, the air still feeling so crisp and clear. Even through the gigantic trees that overtook the sky, Collin could still see the stars, wondering if they were the same ones he tried to count back then.
“Yeah, guess it does.” Genis stood next to Collin, soon smiling brightly. “Good thing Lloyd has some uses, huh?”
“Lloyd’s always useful!” Collin argued, knowing Genis was mainly joking. Still, he wanted to defend Lloyd… He couldn’t help but reach for the necklace again, it’s shape even and the metal shining from the moonlight. Then he kept staring at it…
“So do you feel okay though?”
Ah, he was blanking out again! He smiled down at Genis. “Yeah! Is there, um, something wrong?”
“Well, you got your soul back! I’m curious if you’re feeling the same, that’s all.” Genis eyed the necklace again. Collin wondered why, then soon figured out an answer.
“Oh, did Lloyd not give you a present?”
Genis blinked. “Huh? Why do you ask that?”
“Well, your birthday was before mine… he didn’t get you a necklace too?” Maybe Lloyd was still being late with presents. But only probably because he wanted to give his best effort!
“Wh- why would he give me a necklace?”
Collin could only just keep feeling confused. “Because Lloyd is good at making necklaces?”
Genis sputtered. “But – he’s not – argh!” The younger boy frowned. “Think about what you’re saying.”
Collin really tried to but… “I’m sorry?”
A sigh. “Never mind. Just… this is good confirmation that you’re definitely the same, Collin.” Genis shook his head. So much like when they were younger, all three boys hanging outside Collin’s home. Lloyd would be so eager to share stories his dad had told him, while Genis continually questioned their truthfulness. But those were some of the brightest days for Collin, sitting between them and listening, Lloyd’s eyes catching his occasionally.
Genis shook him out of his thoughts again. “Anyway, I think I’m already tired. Good night.”
“Good night!” Collin waved as Genis went back inside the inn, his steps creaking against wooden floorboards. Then the Chosen of Sylvarant turned back to the sky, still clasping the necklace between his fingers.
Lloyd was just good at making necklaces. It didn’t mean anything more than that, no matter how much Collin might wish it to be.
Collin had always been a weak Chosen, even though people would be too kind to ever say that to his face. A boy like him should be strong! He should be brave, and be everybody’s protector, and not just want to pet cute doggies all day! (But he loved cute doggies so much…) A boy like him, especially one that was a Chosen, should have the courage to do his duty and, for a while, he felt he did that. Even though he couldn’t learn a proper men’s weapon like the sword, the chakrams gave him an advantage. And it was still okay if he used it well! He could fight, even if it was in a way people didn’t expect.
But in the end, he had been so scared. He felt so much guilt now, even as he felt relieved on being able to feel and taste, to just be himself again, thanks to the friend he had always admired.
A boy like him should be as strong as someone like Lloyd, as courageous like Lloyd, as handsome – wait. He hadn’t meant to go in that direction.
But, um. He did think that though. He thought that a lot. And a boy like him shouldn’t really be thinking that, especially a Chosen anyway.
Collin went back inside the inn, already missing the wind that lifted at his short hair. It had grown a little during his journey through Sylvarant, and Lloyd had helpfully given him a haircut. A bit messy looking, but short enough so that he could easily feel the cool breeze against his neck. Lloyd was always kind like that, just like Lloyd had always been kind to him as a child, making fast and easy friends with him.
Going back to the room, he was surprised to find that Lloyd wasn’t in their shared room, though his belongings were scattered around the floor. There was his satchel, some of it spilling over with some of the crafting tools he carried around. Collin felt that maybe this was a good opportunity to change at least. It always felt a bit strange doing that with Lloyd around, even though they were both boys, so really, it was no issue at all…
The door opened behind him suddenly, nearly making him jump.
“Oh! Collin, you’re back!” Lloyd went in quickly, grinning wide. “I was getting kind of worried.”
The same little burst of happiness that always floated through Collin’s chest at times like these did so again at Lloyd’s smile. He did his best though to not touch the necklace, now fully hidden underneath his overcoat. “Lloyd! Sorry, I just wanted to go for a walk… Were you looking-”
He stopped, noticing what Lloyd was holding in his hands. A wooden carving, with the design of something familiar on it. Oh…
Lloyd saw where his eyes were pointed at and couldn’t help but show off his latest work! “Ah, yeah I was just working on this for Sheena! She’s been down ever since Volt’s temple… but I thought like, making like one of those wish tags might help cheer her up a little? I was trying to get Corrine’s shape right in this…” And there was the imprint of the summon spirit’s curvy tails, and even the fur tufts, and paws…
Collin smiled back at Lloyd. “That’s great! She’ll really love it, I bet.” Sheena would like Lloyd’s creation for sure. He had noticed how often Sheena tagged along Lloyd, even before the final seal back at Sylvarant. Once he got his soul back, he still saw that, and how Lloyd clearly enjoyed Sheena’s company. That made sense! Sheena was smart and brave, and she was very beautiful too. Zelos complimented on Sheena so often, so Lloyd for sure would have noticed that as well.
A boy like Lloyd would like a girl such as Sheena! It made sense, and Collin was happy for them. Yes, he was really happy. And he showed that by keeping up his smile.
“Oh, were you going to ask me something? Sorry, I guess I kinda started blabbing there.” Lloyd laughed, the sound traveling through Collin’s ears with warmth.
“U-um… I, was just asking if you were looking for Sheena! Since you were making something for her…”
“Hm? No, I was just trying to find a quiet place around here… Zelos wouldn’t stop visiting me in here.” Lloyd said this with an irritated frown. “Kept asking so many dumb questions.”
Collin blinked. “Really? Like what?”
“Just dumb stuff… Anyway! Have you been sleeping okay? Did you wanna get like a snack or something?”
Lloyd had moved past him to put his stuff away back in his satchel. His red jacket was unbuttoned, probably also wanting to enjoy the night breeze that Ozette gave. Collin watched Corrine’s relief vanish from sight, but still saw clearly how hard Lloyd had worked on it. Suddenly he couldn’t help but remember…
“Heeey, so you’re the little angel everyone’s been missing!” Zelos leaned near the other boy, red hair tumbling down his shoulder to brush against Collin’s cheek. “Hm, you know, when I ran into you for the first time, I thought you were a short-haired hunny, heh.”
“Um!” Collin started, vaguely recalling how his soulless self had just thrown Zelos over his head with barely restrained strength. “I’m sorry, also, um, what?” There were a few things Zelos was throwing his way, none of them making much sense.
Zelos laughed. “Man, could have fooled me. Complete with those wings and all.”
“Oh. Are my wings bad?” Collin did suppose they were weird looking on him, with their pink color especially…
“Nah. They suit you. Anyway, just wanted to let you know how we Chosen gotta stick together! Brothers-in-arms and all that!”
“Um… yeah!” Collin agreed. He was another Chosen, after all! Someone like him! Well, in some ways at least. “I don’t have a brother, but if I did have one, I bet he’d be someone like you!” He hadn’t really understood what his earlier comment had meant though…
Zelos looked perplexed at first before grinning. “Okay, I can see why country boy sticks by you. You know, for a guy, even I gotta say you’re kind of a cutie.”
Collin wasn’t sure how to answer that? He only laughed nervously, finally trying to speak. “I- I’m not that… I’m sure other people are much cuter!” Oh, that sounded weird to say…
“Well, you’re right. The hunnies in our party are pretty cute. Little rosebud, the cool professor, and of course my voluptuous hunny… ya got a favorite?”
Collin clasped his hands before him, really at a loss. He… couldn’t say what he was really thinking, who his actual favorite was... “I think they all look nice!”
Zelos narrowed his eyes. “Okay… Well! I gotta go with Sheena, my hot firebrand. Although she sure is getting chummy with Lloyd lately. They did any bonding over back in your world or something?”
Collin suddenly didn’t really want to think on this. “Well, she did help us out a lot… I’m not sure.”
But the other Chosen seemed so interested in them. “Gotta tell ya, bud needs to be clear on what team he’s playing for. Next thing I know, they’ll be kissing under the moonlight before I get to make my move!”
That made Collin stand still, completely at a loss on what to say at first. Finally, all he could settle with was, “What about teams?” That didn’t make sense to him either.
Zelos sighed, much like Genis tended to. “Never mind… I guess I’m one to talk, heh.” For a moment, Zelos looked away, lips twisted in his smile, before turning back to Collin with a flail. “I mean, not like that though! I ain’t interested in guys!”
“Okay…” Collin said, but still he figured Zelos, as a Chosen like him, was still nice in the end…
Collin realized he had blanked out again, only after Lloyd had been calling out to him a few times.
“Ah, I’m sorry! I didn’t hear…”
“I was saying if you wanted that ice cream stuff they sell at the store here?” Lloyd was asking. At some point, he had moved closer to Collin again, which made oxygen once again hard to come by for him. “Are you really okay? Is your necklace still working right?”
“Yeah! I’m still myself, aren’t I?” Collin proved that with a smile, then held out his hand, fingers flexing in on his palm. “And I can feel things again too thanks to you!”
“Heh, yeah!” Lloyd looked proud then. He took Collin’s hand in a handshake, not wearing his gloves at the moment. Collin could feel the heat of Lloyd’s hand, something he had known for a long time. He had missed it when he felt those senses of his fade, his voice silent, resorting to doing little patterns over Lloyd’s palm.
“Actually, um, I’ve been meaning to ask you,” Lloyd started to say, his voice a bit low. He was still holding Collin’s hand, thumb running across his skin. He must have not realized he was doing that. “Do you like it?”
Still a bit distracted by Lloyd’s touches, Collin took a moment. “S-sorry. Do I like what?”
“Your, um, necklace. I wanted to ask before but… well, things were happening.” Lloyd smiled again, his face a bit red. Maybe he was getting hot? “I-I kinda rushed through fixing it, so we could get you back. I can make it better later if you wanted!”
“Oh… Oh I really love it a lot!” he said, but then realized saying that was probably too strange coming from a boy. “I mean, it’s great! You made it look…” Beautiful. “Really cool!”
Lloyd blinked, seeming to expect something else but then laughed. “Heh, I did want it to be kind of cool looking…”
“It is!” Collin tightened his hand over Lloyd’s, also not realizing what he was doing. “I bet when you make Genis’ necklace, it’ll also look cool.”
Lloyd, still with his smile, looked at Collin blankly. “Uh… huh? Why Genis?”
Oh… he had said something wrong, but he wasn’t sure what! Maybe Lloyd didn’t want to be reminded he was late on his present? Sometimes Collin said dumb things and this was just one of them now. “Ah, I was just… you make really good necklaces. And I’m sure Genis would… like one too?”
“Um.” Lloyd looked to the side, as if searching for an answer. “But… I only made… I mean…”
“Sorry… I said something stupid, didn’t I?” Collin slipped his hand out of Lloyd’s grip, feeling ashamed.
“N-no! That’s not… hm…” Lloyd seemed to be really confused too! “Just, forget it.” A pause. “Hey, uh, did you still want that ice cream?”
Collin couldn’t help but think it was a bit late for ice cream… and clearly he had hurt Lloyd somehow. He hadn’t meant to do that. “If you want to? I’m sure Sheena would like some too!” Maybe that was what would fix the weird situation he had put both himself and Lloyd in. Sheena would make Lloyd happy for sure.
“Oh, um, I guess so? But she’s probably resting. Come on, let’s go! I think my money is somewhere… around here…” Lloyd went to search in one of the little drawers in the room, intently searching for his missing gald.
“We could just tell her though? You sure you don’t want that?” Collin kept hedging, needing to make this right! Lloyd needed to be happy right now.
“It’s okay! Can just go another time with her?” Lloyd was turned away, still searching, and for some reason, Lloyd’s back to him made him so nervous that he couldn’t help but burst out what he would say next.
“I just, um, I think it would be a great date thing together with her! I don’t need to tag along if you don’t want.”
Another pause. Lloyd had stopped shuffling through the drawer. Then he turned around.
“A date? What?”
Collin felt like he wanted to sink into the ground. Why did he say that? Why did he say that??
“Um, because you two get along so well! And, it’s great that you are! And you were making the present for her because you like her…” Oh no now he was rambling. He shut himself up, smiling at Lloyd nervously.
Lloyd blinked, looking at the floor, then back to his face. “Uh… I like her enough but… wait, you mean like…”
Please, could he just turn back time and never say something so stupid ever again? “I’m sorry. I just… I just wanted to say I’m happy for you, that’s all!” Maybe that was enough?
But Lloyd only seemed to be more lost by the second. “Wh- Collin, what are you talking about? Why do you think I’m…”
There was something in Lloyd’s tone that Collin couldn’t quite understand. He was hurting Lloyd somehow. With all the wrong things he was saying. Collin nearly wanted to cry himself at having done that to the person most important to him. The sensation was relieving, for all those times he hadn’t been allowed to cry because of his angel state, and also painful, because a boy shouldn’t do something like cry at all. Even if Lloyd had cried for him that night when he found out, but Lloyd had always been different and…
“It’s… nothing! Never mind, I’m sorry.” Collin turned away, heading for the door. “I’m… I’m just going for a walk. We can get ice cream later!”
“Collin! Hold on a sec-”
He moved outside quick, hands gripping the necklace fast, its weight comforting, remembering how it hung on him when he was still trapped within himself, unable to move or say a word. Only when that lady had tried to take it, eyes narrowed in disgust at how he wore it…
But it was precious to him.
Ozette was naturally a secluded place, so Collin soon found a private enough area – one wooden balcony that stretched out onto the giant boughs. At the very least, this place helped him gather his thoughts a bit more… and realized how stupid and petty he must have sounded then.
It was just, Lloyd had always been his friend, always so interested in him, despite the other people at school. Lloyd always paid attention to him, always gave him things – like those doggy figures, or a messy drawing, and then the necklace but…
He knew in the end he couldn’t keep that. Becoming an angel once ensured it, yet after coming back, he had gotten too greedy. But he couldn’t wish for something like that, not when he was sure Lloyd wasn’t interested. And Collin knew he shouldn’t think that either… but it was hard to not. These were not feelings he could just shut off.
But it would be so much easier if he could.
“Collin, you over here?”
He wiped at his eyes quickly enough, thankful that his tears had been little at the very least. His grandmother had told him, now now, boys shouldn’t cry, you know. And he tried his best, but he had never been like the others and…
“Y-yeah! I’m here, Lloyd! Just wanted some air, hehe.” Even his voice sounded too high pitched, so he cleared his throat to lower it down. “Did.. did you need something?”
Collin had been sitting on a bench, hands placed neatly in his lap. He heard Lloyd seat himself next him, feeling his heat again. Just the hint of his leg pressed against his was enough to make Collin try to swallow his nervousness.
“Um, can I ask you… something else?” Lloyd said, mimicking his nervousness. Collin hated that he was only making Lloyd uncomfortable, that he was making him think he had to run after him. Lloyd always had to do that, ever since they were kids, and he was sure he’d rather do that for someone else that wasn’t…
“Do you know why I gave you that necklace?”
Collin hadn’t expected that question. He turned to Lloyd. “My necklace?”
Lloyd was staring at him, a little closer than he realized. “Yeah.”
He could never explain why looking at Lloyd’s eyes sometimes left him breathless, in ways that maybe a few schoolgirls might have felt, or he felt some must have… Again, the guilt rose in him sharply, but he tried to stem that away to answer Lloyd. “To bring me back. And it worked!” He smiled. “I’m happy it did.”
Lloyd didn’t look unhappy at the answer, but, he didn’t look fully happy either. “Well… yeah, that was one reason I guess. But, well there’s another reason.”
Collin was feeling stumped. He searched through his brain again. “For my birthday?”
Lloyd sighed in aggravation. “Okay, yeah, that too! But… like…” He reached for one of Collin’s hands in his lap, holding it fast in his own. “There’s… a really specific reason I made a necklace for you! Do you not get it?”
Collin blinked, feeling even stupider than before. “I…” His hand trembled in Lloyd’s grip. “I’m not… sure what you mean?”
Lloyd then placed his free hand against his face, groaning more. “Seriously?!”
“I’m sorry! Maybe um… you wanted to test out a new necklace design? For when you make your best one for…” Ah okay, he should be quiet. He could tell, even through Lloyd’s hand that covered his own face, that this wasn’t making him happy at all.
“Collin! Come on already!”
“I… I’m trying!” But he could only come up with more blanks. “I really don’t know…”
Lloyd let his hand fall from his face, closing his eyes. “This isn’t a thing I give to other guys, okay? Or… or girls, like you seem to think or something.”
This didn’t help make things any clearer for Collin. “But… why not? You always make really beautiful things, Lloyd.” Oh, he shouldn’t have said that. Now he definitely sounded weird!
“Gah, why are you… so stupid?!”
Before he could apologize again, Lloyd had moved closer, bringing their clasped hands together to help Collin meet him halfway. His mouth was warm, pressing against his own hard. Collin felt an arm wrap around his back, so tempted to sink into this hold that he hadn’t really dared think about before.
“Ah, I.. Lloy…” But he fell more against Lloyd who seemed determined to kiss away his protesting, his hands strong on him, and feeling so nice overall. It almost made Collin want to cry again, but a boy shouldn’t cry, but then he shouldn’t be doing this with Lloyd either, except…
The mouth finally let him go, but only to pant against his lips, barely an inch away. Collin couldn’t stop looking into Lloyd’s eyes, which encompassed him entirely.
“Oh..” Collin could only breathe, sounding so winded. “Um… sorry, I…”
“Don’t apologize, okay?” Lloyd gave him another kiss, shorter and lighter this time, sending an even sharper thrill through Collin’s chest. “But… you understand me now, right?”
“Yeah…” Collin spoke softly, as if afraid he would wake from this dream too soon, because it had to be a dream. Even so, he was apparently determined to ruin this. “But… wouldn’t you rather…” He stopped, but the meaning was clear. A girl, instead?
Lloyd heard, and he sighed in response. “Collin. I mean… you don’t get why I like you?”
“Um, not… totally,” he answered. He still had so little air in him…
“Because… you’re funny! And you’re kind and strong and you’re cute and… I like that? I just really like you… a lot.” Lloyd smiled then, the kind of smile that always made Collin feel a little weak, that he sometimes thought to himself that such a smile was only for him. It had been a silly thought, at least he had always believed so. But now… “I just want to be with you. When I lost you, I didn’t know what to do. I… I guess I thought it was obvious how I felt, but I forgot people act weird about this kind of thing. I didn’t realize until Zelos started asking me about teams and garbage like that…” Lloyd’s voice turned lower, into a grumble. “And this place… people kept giving looks when I was helping you up off that tree branch.”
“O-oh… yeah, hehe. I’m sorry about that. For the tree branch! And… everything else.” Collin played with Lloyd’s hand in both his own, tempted to trace something there. Maybe that had been strange too, but Lloyd had accepted that so easily.
“Hey,” he heard him say, and raised his head to meet those eyes again. “I should have asked before, just… I needed you to know. I won’t kiss again if you don’t-”
Collin let go of Lloyd’s hand to grip at his jacket, staying close. “I want you to kiss me again. If…” He bit his lip, then looked back to Lloyd. “Please?”
Everything about him had always been less. A boy like him should be more, maybe someone like Lloyd… But Lloyd was Lloyd and he liked having that. And maybe it was okay for Collin to be himself. Lloyd seemed to think so…
With that smile that made his heart shake in his chest, Lloyd leaned in to kiss him again, one hand cupping his cheek, fingers brushing through his short hair. He could stay like this forever, and it was only the weight of the necklace on him that reminded Collin that this was real. He didn’t have to worry about waking up.
