Summary: anon request - "I was actually wondering if you could write an imagine with Colby and his s/o is 6-7 months pregnant. And just like what he would do with the baby bump,  how he would take care of her and just a day in their life with her pregnant... I hope that makes sense. Thank you!"

You smiled down at the tiny onesie in your lap, mind racing about how fast these last few months are really going to go.
You place the onesie in the drawer with the rest of the tiny clothing. You sigh as you look around the neatly decorated nursery, thinking about everything you have and everything you still have to get.
"Hey." Colby's voice is quiet and raspy, "Whatcha doin' up so early?" He walk over to you, bending down to kiss your head.
You smile and close your eyes as you feel his lips press to your forehead, "I had to pee, again." You laugh and look over at him as he sits down next to you, "then I just couldn't get comfortable and I didn't want to wake you with my constant tossing and turning."
He shakes his head, "Would have been fine, babe." He smiles and reaches over to grab a onesie from the laundry basket, "I can't believe she'll be here soon."
You lay your hands on your belly, feeling your baby girl swim around, "She loves the sound of your voice."
He smiles and glances down at your belly, "Yeah?"
You nod, "Yeah. She moves every time you talk." You reach your hand out, "Feel." He gives you his hand, letting you guide it to your belly.
His eyes go wide, "Whoa. She's really awake this morning."
You laugh slightly, "also why I couldn't get comfy." He gives you a small smile, "I'm sorry, y/n." You shake your head, "No, baby. Don't be sorry."
You run your nails gently over his hand, "I'm so excited to see you hold her." A big smile appears on his face and he sighs, "I'm actually so scared. Shes going to be so fragile and I-"
"Colby. Honey. You are going to be the absolute best daddy to her. You already love her so, so much and I know you won't let anything happen to her." You reach up, laying a hand on his cheek and he nods, "You're right."
"Of course I am." You laugh slightly and he rolls his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. Did you eat yet?"
You shake your head, "Alright." He stands up, "I'll call you when it's ready. Any specific cravings this morning?"
You purse your lips, thinking for a second before you smirk, "Chocolate."
He chuckles and gives you a thumbs up, "Got it."
You watch him walk out of the room before you look back, taking in everything as you gently rub your growing bump.
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
After breakfast and having a deep conversation about what's to come, you make your way to the couch and switch on the tv.
"So I was thinking.." Colby walks over and sits behind you. You lean back against his chest and lay your head back, "Thinking about what?"
"I was thinking about staying home today, hanging out with you and bean." He pokes your belly gently and you laugh slightly, "Don't you and Sam have that meeting today?"
He shrugs, "Yeah, but it can be moved to tomorrow or something." He kisses your head, "I just want to see you." His hands slide onto your belly as he rests his chin on your shoulder.
"Whatever you want to do, babe." You reach up, gently scratching his neck as you close your eyes.
"Why don't you take a nap. You were up early and I know just how tired you get." His fingers gently scratch over your bump, "I'll call Sam when you get up or something." You nod, already feeling like you could fall asleep.
Ah hour and a half later, you wake up, Colby still sitting behind you, "Get a good nap in?"
"You could have moved if you wanted to." You mumble, rubbing your eyes as you sit up. Colby placing his hands on your shoulders, leaning up, "I didn't want to."
You laugh slightly, turning so you can get up, "This baby is pushing on my bladder."
"I'm sure that's uncomfortable." He looks up at you and you nod, "Very much so." You waddle to the bathroom, sitting there for a few minutes as you fully wake up.
You stand in front of the mirror, eyes glued to your bump as if you're waiting to be woken from some sort of dream.
"Everything okay in there?" Colby gently knocks on the door and you smile, turning to open it.
Ever since you found out you were pregnant, Colby has been glued to your side. Always making sure you were okay, comfortable, cravings filled.
You really feel like you and Colby grew closer, all thanks to, as Colby calls her because you have no name yet, Bean.
"Yes. Everything came out okay." You joke as you walk into him, laying your head on his chest.
"Were you admiring the bump?" He chuckles and looks down at you as you nod, "Yeah, sometimes it just doesn't feel real."
He nods, "I know what you mean. I'm always staring at you, I just absolutely love you with this baby bump."
You look up at him, "Really?"
With all the good things that come with pregnancy, there's also bad things, such as insecurity, weight gain, swelling and mood swings, but Colby doesn't mind one bit.
"Really. You've opened up a whole other side to being beautiful and I can't get enough of it." He kisses your cheek and moves down, caressing your belly with his hands, "You're the best mama to bean, I know it."
He gently presses his lips to your shirt covered bump and the baby starts kicking and twirling like crazy.
"Whoa." He laughs, "She must really like me."
"I told you." You laugh as you run your hand through his hair, "It's every time you talk."
He stands back up, "l love you both." You smile as he leans in to kiss you.
"We love you." You wrap your arm around his back as he walks you back out to the couch, "I'm going to call Sam quick, see if we can change that meeting."
You nod, sitting down, "Why don't you see if you can do a phone meeting or something." He looks at you and you shrug, "I just know this is an important meeting and I just don't want to cause an inconvenience to anyone."
He sits down next to you, "You aren't and never will be an inconvenience. I can promise you that."
You sigh, trying to fight back the tears and Colby shakes his head, "Hey, hey. What's wrong?"
You sniffle, "I don't know.. I just.. I'm just so happy." You laugh as a tear rolls down your cheek, "And now I want a cheeseburger."
Colby pulls you to him, laughing slightly, "What an emotional rollercoaster." He pulls his phone out, bringing it up to his ear.
You look up at him, "What's are you doing?"
"Calling Sam. He'll bring you a cheeseburger." He laughs and you pout, "Colby."
"Hey, brother. I have a favor to ask." Colby laughs and looks down at you, "She's good, yeah. I was just going to see if you could come over, and bring cheeseburgers with you." He nods, "Yeah, she wants a cheeseburger."
You laugh and sniffle, "tell him bean and I love him."
"He said he loves you girls too and he'll be here in fifteen." Colby glances down at you and you nod, "Okay."
"Yeah, thank you. Uh huh. See ya." Colby hangs up and kisses your head, "Uncle Sam's on his way to save the day."
Colby sets his phone down and wraps his arm around you, "Sam is going to be beans favorite uncle."
"I agree with you. He'll do anything for her." You rub your belly and take a deep breath, "Have you thought of a name yet?"
He sighs, "I've been thinking, but nothing really sticks." He lays a hand on yours, "maybe once we see her we'll know."
You shrug, "Maybe. I just feel like she needs a name." You close your eyes, emotions taking over and Colby kisses your head, holding you a little bit tighter, "Hey. She'll get one. Okay? She won't be bean no name her whole life."
You laugh and shake your head, "You're right." You sit up, looking at him, "Thank you for always being here." He leans in, kissing your lips, "You'd have to bury me to get me away."
You laugh and lay a hand on his cheek, "That's not happening."
"Good. I was kinda scared you'd consider it." He jokes and you roll your eyes, "Oh yeah, all the time." You smirk and stand up, "I'm going to go change."
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
"Hey, hey, hey." Sam says as he walks through the door, "Someone order a few cheeseburgers?"
You walk over to him, taking the bag from his hands, "You're a life saver." He smiles and lays an arm over your shoulder, "anything for my niece."
You laugh, shaking your head as you focus on finally getting to eat the burger you've been non stop thinking about, "Where's Colby?"
"Baby's room." You say before you take a bite, "He's putting together her bassinet." You cover your mouth with your hand as you chew.
Sam nods, walking back the small hallway, "Daddy, where are you?"
You roll your eyes, laughing as you hear Colby say in a girly tone, "In here, sweetie."
You sit down on the chair, continuing to eat as you wait for them to come out, "That was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life." Colby walks over to you, "I pinched my finger three times, but it's finally together and looking cute in the corner."
You smile slightly, reaching out to take his hand to look, "Are you okay?"
He nods, "Oh yeah, I'm good, also. We're going to just do that meeting via zoom today here if that's alright."
You nod, "That's fine, whatever you need to do."
"How was the burger? Satisfy your cravings?" Sam asks with a laugh and you nod, "you have no idea."
Sam stares at you for a few seconds, looking up at Colby and shaking his head, “I can’t believe that Colby is going to be a dad.”
“I can’t believe it either, Sam.” Colby rubs his hand up and down your back, “I think I’m more scared of this than I am when we were staying a week at the conjuring house.”
“That was terrifying.” Sam sits down, “Got a name yet?”
You shake your head, “Not yet. We’re hoping to come up with one soon. That the only stresser right now.”
Sam nods, “Samantha is a really good name.” He smirks, “Oh, or Sammie.. that’s adorable.”
“I think we should tell him.” Colby looks at you and you nod, “Yeah, he kinda just opened the bag and let the cat out.”
“I did what?” Sam tilts his head and laughs and you look over at him, “Her middle name will be Samantha after the best uncle she could ask for.”
“Excuse me.” Sam gets up, walking back the hall and you hear a loud, sarcastically dramatic sob. He walks back out, calm and cool, “That’s amazing.”
Colby laughs and walks over to hug him, they do their little spiel about being brothers, blah blah, and you have to pee again.
You make your way to the bathroom then coming out to finish your food. As you’re eating, your phone dings with an email, “Hey Colby.”
“What’s up, babe?” He walks over to you and lays a hand on your hip, “You good?”
You nod, holding up your phone, “Our shower invites are in.” He takes your phone, eyes scanning over the screen, “These are amazing.”
He walks over, “Sam, look at these.”
You never thought that you’d see two ghost hunters freak out over baby shower invitations.
“Those are adorable!” Sam shakes his head, “I’m going to keep mine forever.”
You laugh, “Uh huh.”
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
Later on, after their meeting, you’re scrolling down through the registry, looking at what everyone has gotten you guys so far.
“What else do we need for bean?” You look up, lifting a finger from your fist with each thing you say, “I know we have swaddles, blankets, crib sheets, and everything else I think.”
Colby brushes hair from your face, “Um..” he looks at your phone, watching as your scroll, “I think we have everything that we need for her, and if it’s not here we’ll get it at the shower next month.”
You sigh, “I feel like we’re missing something.”
“Diapers? Can’t have too many of them.” Colby chuckles and you snap your fingers, “I think that’s it!”
He shakes his head, kissing your head, “You need to relax, babe. Just take a minute away from all of that.” You sigh, handing him your phone to take it away from you, “You’re right. Sorry, I just-“
“Don’t apologize to me. Everything will be absolutely perfect and we’ll get through it if not. She’s already so spoiled, did you see all the stuff Sam bought?”
You laugh and nod, “She won’t be without anything for a while.”
“Exactly. Now just come here.” He pulls you back into him and you let out a sigh, “I think I’m just trying to keep myself busy so I don’t keep worrying about it all.”
“You’re her mama. It bound to happen, but you can just try and take a breather for one night. Stressing isn’t good for you or her.” He runs his hand up and down your arm, “You’re going to be such a good mama. I promise you.”
You smile, nodding against his chest, “And you’re going to be such a good daddy to her.”
The rest of the night, Colby tries to keep your mind occupied by putting on your favorite show and pampering you in anyway he can.
Lotion on your belly, talking to the baby in gentle tone, and getting you any of your craving that make their way to the surface.
You never thought you’d be here, but you couldn’t be more thankful for Colby and all he does for you.

A/N: so fun fact about this fic is that i came up with it last year back in november. it was around the time me and my ex best friend stopped being friends. i was really in such a rough headspace, and i think the concept shows it. i just finished writing it today and wow... i still feel this way to some extent, but not fully (thank god). also i literally cried while writing it today so there’s that. hope yall enjoy this one. i'm trying to post a bunch of fics since this coming week is my bday (the 14th). no guarantees, but i'm trying my best to put out at least six things. let me know what you think of this one. see yall later :)
prompt: colby has been ghosting you for a while, just when things were starting to get good between you two. after a week of ignoring you, he’s finally ready to talk. || fem!reader x colby brock

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I groaned to myself, staring at my phone.
Colby was still ignoring me, something I had grown accustomed to this week. He had ghosted my calls and my texts. He turned his read notifications off too, so I had no clue whether or not he had even seen my messages at all.
Everything had been going great between us. We had met a couple years back and hit it off as friends right away. I always thought he was attractive, and our friendship was always really flirty; so much so that fans thought we were together. And then finally, something clicked a couple months back. I wasn't sure if it was the accidental drunken kiss we shared, or just a built up of feelings, but we finally decided that maybe we should test out an actual relationship.
We promised each other we would take it slow, both of us still heartbroken from our previous relationships and our general trust issues. But these past two months, we went into overdrive, actually taking the time to feel each other out as boyfriend and girlfriend.
And for the first time, I felt happy. Genuinely happy.
A week ago, we had even gone on a cute little date, something we had started doing regularly. We were in the middle of our conversation; I remember I laughed hard at something he said. It was loud enough that some of the patrons in the restaurant stared at us. And when he tried to shush me jokingly, a silence had fallen over us.
His face dropped suddenly, he became super serious and quiet, and then he asked if we could go home.
He told me the next day that he thought he got food poisoning and it just hit him in the restaurant. I didn't think anything of it and was fine with going home early.
But now, I wonder if he was lying.
I looked back down at my phone, reading over my messages from the past week to him.
Was I taking this too far? He could have just been busy. I don't wanna come across as clingy.
"Ugh, fuck that." I muttered out loud to myself, rolling out of my bed to get a drink.
I didn't care if I came across as clingy. I had a right to know why he was ignoring me. If it was work related, he would have told me. He had done that in the past before.
This was different, I just knew it.
Tomorrow, I planned to go over and see him. I would have done it tonight, but I knew he wasn't home. He was out with some friends at Saddle Ranch. Like a fan, I had to watch his stories on Insta, since that was the only way I knew where he was.
"Don't expect too much from him." Sam said.
I shook my head at that memory. When we got together, everyone was happy for us. But I could feel a certain tension in the room, a certain caveat that wasn't being mentioned. Later that night, Sam and I were by ourselves, and he asked me if Colby and I had really made our relationship official. I told him we hadn't gone all the way, but that we were taking it one step at a time.
"I'm happy for you guys, really. I just wonder..." His voice trailed off.
I cocked my head. "Wonder what?"
"Look, I love you both, but I don't know if Colby is really ready for a relationship. There's a lot of things he still needs to work through." He stated.
"We're not that serious." I laughed.
"Yeah, yet. If you plan to be, I just don't want you to get your heart broken because he wasn't ready." Sam admitted.
I patted his shoulder lightly, smiling. "Relax, Samuel. Everything will be fine."
"Alright. Just... don't expect too much from him, okay?" He mentioned, his eyes narrowing on mine.
That had been two months ago and... I think I should have heeded his warning.
A loud knock at my front door brought me out of my thoughts, scaring me. I grabbed a knife from my kitchen, striding over to the door. I glance through the peephole to see who was there.
Colby's face stared back.
"Y/N, it's me. Can you open the door?" He called.
I scowled at him through the peephole. "Sorry she's not home right now. Maybe you should try responding to her texts.”
“Look I'm sorry, but that's why I came over. I wanted to talk in person.” He replied.
“Damn, that’s a shame. Too bad she’s not home!” I exclaimed angrily.
“C’mon now, don’t be childish.” He remarked.
I swung the door open, holding back from yelling into my hallway. “Childish?!”
He smirked at me. “I knew that would get you to open the door.”
“You’re not funny.” I deadpanned, glaring at him.
“Can you please let me in? I seriously want to talk.” Colby responded, his eyes landing on mine.
“No, Colby. It’s one o’clock in the morning, I don’t feel like talking, and you’re drunk.” I jeered, resting my hands on my hips.
He scrunched up his face dramatically. “No, I’m not. I only had like two drinks.”
“Oh my mistake. I figured a person that randomly comes over to talk at the ass-crack of night is usually drunk,” I quipped. “Don’t you have better things to do, like be at Saddle Ranch?”
He stepped back, raising an eyebrow. “How’d you know I was at Saddle Ranch?”
I could feel my cheeks heat up. “Because… I watched your stories.”
“Nice to know you pay attention to me,” he uttered under his breath. “Please let me in.”
“No. Fuck off, Colby.” I hissed.
He rolled his eyes at my comment. “If you don’t let me in, I’m just gonna make noise out here in the hallway until you do.”
“Bet.” I huffed.
“What was your favorite movie again… ‘10 Things I Hate About You’?” He questioned, stepping back further into the hallway.
I blinked. “Yeah, so what?”
He looked up at me, giving me a devilish smile. “…You’re just too good to be true.”
My face dropped at his voice. “Colby.”
“Can’t take my eyes off of you.” He sang, pointing at me.
“Are you really-” I started.
He cut me off, running his hands down his body. “You’d be like heaven to touch.”
I hushed. “Seriously stop-”
“I wanna hold you so much.” He closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around himself.
I grunted, smacking my hand towards him. “Colby, it’s one in the morn-”
“At long last, love has arrived.” He opened his arms wide.
“Shut the fuck up!” I whisper-shouted.
“And I thank God I'm alive.” Colby praised up towards the ceiling.
I retorted. “You’re fucking embarrass-”
He spun in a circle slowly. “You're just too good to be true.”
“I knew giving you the code to my apartment was a bad idea.” I grumbled.
“Can't take my eyes off of you.” He winked, pointing at me again.
Colby took a big inhale, ready to start singing the music, but I grabbed his arm and pulled him into my apartment.
I slammed my door shut, locking it quickly. “Next time you do something like that, I’m gonna kill you.”
“That’s not very- why do you have a knife?” He motioned toward the knife sitting on my side table.
“What-? Oh, I thought you were an intruder.” I explained.
He lightly smiled, his dimples appearing. “You think an intruder would knock?”
I snapped, annoyed. “Aren’t you here to apologize?”
“Right, right,” he cleared his throat, his demeanor changing. “Y/N, I’m deeply sorry.”
“Sure.” I narrowed my eyes, walking towards my kitchen.
He followed me. “I know what I did was fucked up. I should have responded to you.”
“You completely ignored me for over a week.” I informed him, resting my back against the counter.
He nodded. “I know. I shouldn’t have done that.”
I crossed my arms uncomfortably. “…were you busy?”
“No, not really.” He divulged, dropping his head.
“So, you purposefully ignored my calls and text…” I could feel my hands shake against my arms.
“You make it sound bad-” He mumbled.
“It is that bad.” I emphasized, stopping him. “Colby, you wanna talk about being childish? That shit was childish.”
He agreed. “I know it was.”
“Obviously not since you keep joking about it.” I argued.
“I’m not trying to joke,” he protested, running his hands through his hair. “Do you wanna know the honest to God truth?”
“Of course I do.” I answered, furrowing my eyebrows.
He exhaled, glancing at me. “When we first got together, even though we were taking it slow, I was terrified to date you.”
“Terrified?” I puzzled.
He swallowed hard. “Yes. Scared shitless.”
“Why?” I questioned.
“I thought it was because I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. But then… at dinner,” his voice lowered, his shoulders dropping. “I realized it was more than that.”
I shook my head, confused. “What are you ta-”
“I’m falling in love with you, Y/N.” He confessed.
His words made me step back, my breath hitching in my throat.
I choked. “What?”
“When you laughed really hard, and did that cute snort thing you do, I remember we looked at each other… and all I saw was you,” his eyes bore into mine, causing goosebumps to rise all over my skin. “No one else in that restaurant existed. And in that moment, I wanted to tell you I love you.”
I stammered out words, unable to think clearly. “S-so… you-”
“When I felt it, I knew I had to go home. Because I was just so shocked at the feeling. I haven’t felt that way for anyone in a long time.” He sighed exhaustingly, “and… I apologize that I ignored you. Every time I saw your messages, I knew I should have responded. But my body, my mind, wouldn’t let me.”
I frowned. “Because you love me?”
“Because… I’m scared to love you.” He admitted.
A heavy silence fell over the apartment. I shuddered out an exhale, not even noticing I had been holding my breath in for so long. Colby closed his eyes, twisting up his face, and turned his back to me.
“Why are you scared to love me?” I gulped, scared of his answer.
His shoulders tensed as he gripped the counter. “The last time you felt heartbroken… did it leave you feeling empty? Because that’s how I felt… for so long. It’s not even the empty feeling that bothered me. It was the fact that I knew something used to be there… and now it’s gone. I miss who I was before.”
I opened my mouth, but no words escaped.
“I have this deep, guttural feeling that you’re gonna realize I’m not worth loving, and that there is someone else out there that is, and you’re gonna leave me.” His voice trembled as he spoke, “everyone… always leaves me.”
I gasped quietly. “Colby-”
He turned back to me, his face becoming red. “I just feel like no one ever needs me, you know? Like some people only keep me around because they don’t have the heart to just tell me they don’t care anymore. Even Sam has someone else.
I consoled. “That’s not-”
“And I know it’s selfish to want everyone around me to only want me. I don’t really feel that way. I just… don’t feel like anyone really needs me as much as I need them,” his chest quaked as his breathing began to speed up. “And when you realize it too… I don’t think I can live through that fall out again. I don’t think I’m gonna survive it.”
“Wait, Col-” I murmured.
“At that dinner, I had this gut-wrenching anxiety come over me; a voice in my head that said ‘she’s gonna leave you too’ and… I’m just so sorry.” He panted, his eyes welling up.
I wrapped my arms around him tightly, pressing his body into mine as hard as I could. He buried his face into my neck, his body almost going limp against mine.
I couldn’t help my own tears spill as they landed on his shirt. “Baby, why didn’t you tell me you were feeling this way before?”
“I was ashamed. I should be stronger than this.” He fumed through his tears.
I rubbed his face lovingly. “Who said that? You are strong. Expressing your emotions is strong.”
He nodded, croaking. “I’m so sorry, Y/N. Can you forgive me?”
“Of course. How about tonight you stay over, and then in the morning, we’ll talk about this more? Okay?” I suggested, resting my hands on his forearms.
“Yeah.” He whimpered.
I smiled brokenly. “Come on, let’s go to bed.”
I lightly grasped Colby’s hand, pulling him slowly into my bedroom. He stumbled along, his head remaining down.
I sat him down on the bed and slid off his jacket, placing it on my dresser. I cupped his face, tracing his jaw with my fingers. His eyes finally landed on mine as I tilted his head up.
I leaned down and kissed his lips, resting my forehead against his.
“I’m not gonna leave you, Colby.” I stated, gazing into his eyes.
He begged in a hushed tone. “Please don’t.”
“I won’t. I promise.” I reassured, kissing his forehead.
I walked over to the other side of my bed and laid down. Colby kicked off his shoes, taking his belt off and pulling his jeans down. After getting undressed, he slid into bed with me, laying his head down softly on my chest. Wrapping his arms around me, he buried his head into my neck again, sighing against my skin. I ran my fingers through his hair, a light hum falling from his lips. I ran my other hand up and down his spine, feeling him shiver under my touch.
“We’ll be okay, Colby.” I whispered.

Happy New Year (Colby Brock Imagine)
Summary: *REQUEST* Can you do one where they are strangers and meet each other during a new years eve party and then end up kissing each other when the ball drops and make it super romantic (not in covid times) pretty please
Written: 2021
Word Count: 2,040
Warnings: Swearing, mention of being roofied, breakup
Masterlist
I sit in the uber, waiting for everyone to get out. Maybe they’ll be too excited about the party to realize that I went home. Maybe I should escape out the other door and disappear into the night. I didn’t even want to come out tonight in the first place. After the year I’ve had, going to an influencer party is the last place I want to attend. Unluckily for me, my best friends were tired of me staying in my apartment all day, every day, and refused to let me ring in the new year alone. Sadly, this meant that I had to go with them to a party because my apartment gave off “depression vibes” and that “wasn’t the move” for 2021. That’s the only thing that I agreed with them on, the vibe thing, not going to a party.
After nearly a year of quarantine and processing a breakup, my place is a bit of a disaster. If it wasn’t for Janie ambushing me every day last week to help/force me to clean up, my apartment would still look like that cave where the grinch lives— minus Max. There were various alcohol bottles collecting dust on the counter. Not in a “she’s spiraling very rapidly” sort of way, but in a way that you could tell that I had a rough few weeks and the occasional wine night with the gals. There were boxes, mostly from March and April, that I still had yet to throw out after impose buying a bunch of stuff. My closet had turned into my bed because that was the only safe space that wasn’t cluttered with food packaging or tainted by memories that no longer bring me joy. I hadn’t properly seen my floor in months until we pulled back the layer of filth. I forgot that I had carpet. Still, after all that, I managed to make videos every week without fail.
“Y/N, c’mon, you’re not escaping this time. Let’s go so you can forget that asshole and that backstabbing bitch.” Persephone begs as she pulls me out of the car. Once out of the car, she adjusts her long, dark brown curls and smooths out her dress before reconnecting to her boyfriend’s hip. They both match with their gold and black outfits. All of my friends and their significant others match. Ophelia and her girlfriend are wearing silver and blue while Janie and her boyfriend are wearing maroon and gold. They all look like gods and goddesses and here I am wearing green and sliver on my own. Could I be anymore single?
“I’m not going to do it, I was just thinking about it. Don’t worry. I have to get footage for the vlog anyway. Gotta prove that I did something other than stay home this year. My fans are getting concerned.” I pull out my camera and get a few clips of everyone.
“Might as well get some pictures then so people will believe you.”1 Ophelia winks before grabbing me and leading us to what I’m assuming is the designated photo spot. There’s even a line. This is going to be one of those nights.

“Aw, fuck…” I mutter to myself as my drink gets knocked out of my hand. This house isn’t big enough for the number of people that were invited.
“I am so sorry! Here, let me help you.” The guy who bumped into me extends his hand for me to grab. I’m sober enough to know not to take completely random strangers' hands at parties, especially in LA, but I’m also drunk enough to not care. He looks nice enough and I can spot Ophelia and her girlfriend Zoe keeping an eye on me from the corner of the room. I guess everyone is taking turns to make sure I don’t bail.
Against better judgment, I take this beautiful stranger’s hand and let him guide me out of the house to the backyard. It’s less crowded out here, maybe because there are more activities to do inside. Out here, I can actually breathe even though people are smoking and vaping out here. The music is quieter. The music is still loud, but like it would burst your eardrum like the music inside. I get a better look at the guy who brought me out here. He’s not bad looking, and I really hope that’s not the alcohol talking. He has the most relaxing blue eyes I’ve ever seen on a guy. His hair is dark brown with a bit of, I think, purple in the front. He looks as threatening as a pug, but looks can be deceiving.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t get any on you did I?” He asks as he scans my body, not in a creepy way. Which is a nice change of pace.
“My feet but they’re just shoes so I don’t care. I call these my going out shoes, they’re made for moments like this so you’re all good. I’m Y/N by the way.” I stick my hand out for him to shake. He looks at it puzzled for a second before it registers and he grabs my hand and gives it a firm shake.
“Right— I spilled your drink on you and basically kidnapped you from the party and you don’t even know my name. It’s Colby, Colby Brock.” Colby shakes my hand a little too long before quickly pulling it away.
“I’m Y/N, you can get the last name later,” I bite my bottom lip, close my eyes, and mentally slap my head. “That was lame, wasn’t it?”
“It’s fine. It’s a thousand times better than anything I would have come up with. Just blame it on the alcohol.”
We both laugh before Colby singles that he’ll be right back. I watch as Colby disappears a small group of people. I take off my shoes and walk to the pool, dipping my feet in as I sit. The cool night air is soothing me. It’s a nice change from the stale scent of my apartment and the sweaty bodies inside the party. I look up to the night sky. The light pollution makes it impossible to see what stars and constellations are above us. Whatever I’m staring at right now feels peaceful, like they are aligned or not in retrograde. I have no idea what any of that means, but I do know that I’ve been around Ophelia too much.
Colby taps my shoulder when he gets back. He kicks off his shoes and socks before joining me in the pool, not even rolling up his pant legs. He’s going to regret that in a few hours. He hands me an unopened can of Truly. I take it from him and open it myself. At least I know he’s not a creep. He opens a can of White Claw and sips it before breaking the silence.
“I have to be honest, Y/N.” Colby looks forward, taking another sip.
“Oh no, what is it?” I ask nervously.
“The real reason I dropped your drink is because I saw some asshole slip something in your drink.” Colby finally looks at me and I can tell he’s serious.
“Wait…what? Someone tried to… Any you thought the best was to inform me was to spill my drink all over me?” I’m more taken aback by the idea of me almost getting roofied than anything. That would have been the perfect way to end this shit storm of a year.
“In hindsight, I planned to spill your drink. I didn’t mean to get any on you. I’m not a hundred percent sober right now so that was the downside of my plan. Don’t worry about the guy, my friend Corey went after him.”
“Wow— Uh, thank you. I mean it. I don’t think I could have dealt with… that on top of everything else I had to handle this year.” I take a sip of my drink and swing my legs in the water.
“Do you want to talk about it? I’m not big on talking about serious stuff with strangers, so I’ll understand if you don’t want to. However, we’re both getting hammered, if we aren’t already, so the likely hood of us even remembering this conversation tomorrow let alone who we are slim. So if you need to vent, vent.”
I weigh the pros and cons of actually venting everything to this beautiful stranger. Maybe it’s the alcohol talking, but I decided to say fuck it. The year is almost over anyway, might as well get rid of this baggage and start the year fresh.
“Long story short: after months of quarantining together Axl, my boyfriend of 10 years, cheated on me. The entire time we were in quarantine. With my younger sister, who I let quarantine with us so she wouldn’t be alone and not have to fly back home to be with our parents. And to top it all off, I found out about it on my birthday when I walked in on them fucking each other on my bed.” I take a larger sip of my drink before leaning back and staring back at the virtually starless sky.
“Holy fucking shit,” Colby leans back to join me in looking at the sky.
“Yup! We met in preschool and started dating when we were 13. She’s four years younger than us to that’s annoying.”
“Not to be that guy, but I don’t know what you expected when you started dating a guy named Axl.”
“… You’re right, that is a pretty douchey name. I literally ignored the biggest red flag in my entire life.”
Colby and I laugh again until it fades. I don’t think I’ve laughed this much, like actually laughed, in months. It feels good. Inside the house, the crowd starts counting down from 15. Colby must have heard it too because I watch him turn his head from the corner of my eye. I turn my head to face him. He really does have beautiful eyes. Like the ocean.
“This may be a dumb idea and I know we don’t know each other, but do you want to be my new years kiss?”
“I may regret this in the future, but what the hell.” We both sit up and adjust our clothes.
It might be risky to just kiss a random stranger at midnight, but who cares. We’re most likely not going to be in each other’s lives after tonight anyway. But by God, I could do much worse than kissing Colby. Unless I’m very drunk and the drunk goggles are seriously fucking with me. It’s not like I’m going home with him, my friends won’t let that happen. Maybe after this party, we’ll go our separate ways and never see each other again. Maybe we’ll run into each other in a random store in LA or at some creator convention.
The drunken yells of party-goers inch closer and closer to midnight.
“Three,” Colby whispers, moving his hair out of his face.
“Two,” I take one more small sip before finally setting my drink down. Colby does the same. My heart is beating a loud, steady rhythm in my chest like it’s about to burst.
“One,” We whisper at the same time before slowly leaning in.
As our lips touch, it felt like time had stopped. The beating intense beating in my heart only intensifies the longer our lips stay pressed together. One of Colby’s hands finds my face why the other reaches for my thigh, but I can only focus on how soft his lips are. My stomach starts forming knots as he tries to deepen the kiss. I don’t know if it’s everything I drank tonight coursing through my veins or the fact that I haven’t been kissed in months, but I slightly part my lips. The mixture of Colby’s scent and his body heat wash over me like they’re intoxicating my senses. The kiss ends just as suddenly as it started. We both pull away and just stare at each other in awe.
“L/N,” I breathe, fixing my hair.
“What?” Colby takes another sip of his drink.
“My last name is L/N.”

My thoughts Waverly Hills vid:
Warning: Spoilers!
• Sam’s bumblebee/Charlie brown shirt
• This group is 🔥
• WHATS UP GUYS ITS SAM AND COLBY! A
• Colby running for the dogs, Sam making it a dramatic camera chase
•Colby getting in another coffin
• The fear of snakes is real 😔
• Sam getting on the morgue slab and conquering that phobia one step at a time 😌
• “That’s a sick angle!” I bet Colby I bet
• “I’ll be here one day” Damn Sam that was dark, and for WHAT?
• Spiders, everywhere let me grab my flamethrower.
• Colby screaming over a cricket
• Gotta run from the spiders! 🎶 Sam Golbach debut single
• felt I was about to be brought into a cult as they walked from behind the pillars
Tumblr media
• Ball joke
•Kat already looks done 😂
• Timmy plays with small balls ⚽️
• It’s actually quite sad that people jumped, and Colby feeling that oof it just hit me.
• Sam and Colby doing the challenge, things I noted.
There was a growl or scream when Sam approached the bigger ball around 26:47-49.
When Sam already passes the exit sign on his way back up there’s a light around 28:26, perhaps it’s Sam’s phone but he was told to come back up in the dark and he’d already passed by there so why would he randomly turn on his phone light to shine it that way??
REM pod goes off at 28:53 and the way it starts to go off in all directions means there’s multiple kids around it or that’s what I think.
• Colby cheating with a light, but I’d do that too considering I’m not about to fall down some stairs so some ghost kids can laugh at me.
•Sam’s impression of the REM pod
• The kids following them was cute af to be honest
• Built different vs Built better
• Worst thought I had was..what if the Creeper was the one messing with the REM pod pretending to be a kid. Because that growl cry was not a kid..if it wasn’t messing with the rem pod then it was definitely in the distance watching.
•William and his Ghost dogs 🐕
• “That was cool!” Sam being cute
• Those three guys who killed William and his dog, that later got murdered themselves. I don’t feel bad for you, what you three did to that nice old man and his dog was awful and cruel. I hope your afterlife is severely uncomfortable and that William and his dog find peace. People make me sick and sadly this kind of shit will continue to happen no matter how many more centuries are to come.
• The black cat walking by is often seen as a bad omen (though I don’t believe that) but their also seen as wealth and fortune, they can be a familiar to a witch or a witch themselves. Black cats are actually wonderful creatures so please don’t treat them as evil, black cats and dogs are very nice companions as are all other breeds of both.
• I like when Kat is there but I don’t think ghost hunting is her thing, she seems to be uncomfortable and looks done before they even really start. Again Kat is great, I feel Stas might’ve been more excited or at least not as uncomfortable but I haven’t seen her enough to pick up how her vibe about it. Maybe I’m a different kid of girl, I’d be so down to explore there as haunted places are a passion of my fiancé and I’s.
•I’m a little disappointed that Sam and Colby kept saying they were doing the finale video as just the two of them, sucks because they always say their going to do a OG duo vid and never do it. Even their xplr videos have had others in it after they said they missed going alone. At least it’s Josh and Seth I love them in videos, but the disappointment is still there. 😔
• The fact they both say each others names durning the Estes method 🥺😱 These absolutely connected souls. GAH

I hope you all enjoy it! Let's get into it! (Also this is a TMOMD AU where Freddy is actually into the idea of sharing Amber.)

---
You weren't even sure if you wanted to go out tonight. It's not like you didn't enjoy the party scene in college, you just weren't sure if this was the kind of party you'd even like. Your friend was rushing a sorority and they were the type who had DREAMT of getting into one forever, they were also a classic overachiever. So they decided recon was necessary to be ready for the sorority they actually wanted to rush, which led to tonight, your friend insisting on dragging you to a different college campus then the one you both attended, one where they knew some people, to go do a practice run at a different sorority mixer. You thought it was very unneeded and frankly ridiculous but it was a Friday night and you had no prior plans meaning you had no real reason to turn your friend down.
You still got a little bit dressed up and figured that if you did this they would owe you a favor and you could at least try to have a bit of fun in the process. Free food and drinks, music and meeting some new people, couldn’t be all bad, could it?
One thing you hadn’t thought of was the fact your friend was going to be far too busy doing her research to actually hang out with you and ditched you basically immediately. After being on your own for over an hour you had managed to track your friend down again, “There you are!”
Your friend turned to look at you and immediately just had the most apologetic look on, a weak smile as they said, “Hey! Sorry for running off! I just got so caught up-” You were a little less than impressed, arms crossed as you said, “Uh-huh, I am so sure.”
And then your friend pouted, “Don’t be mad at me!” And you shrugged your shoulders, “I’m not mad, I’m just a little bothered you INSISTED I come, dragged me along to a party where I don’t know anyone.”
“Awe isn’t half the fun of college meeting new people! Meet someone new, live a little.” Your friend was looking around and you were worried they were about to bail again already but instead their smile widened and they waved calling out, “Rach! Rachel! C’mere!”
Then some woman, Rachel you presumed came over, a smile and small wave, “Hey what’s up?” Your friend put a hand on her arm as he said, “So good to see you again, this here is my friend-” A gesture to you as she shared your name and then said, “-I was a totally tactless fool and dragged them to this party where they don’t know anyone, mind doing me a favor and introducing them to someone fun?”
“Duh of course I can do that.” Rachel said, turning to you and you looked at your friend, “Alright, fine but you aren’t off the hook yet, we are talking about this later-”
“You’re the best, bye!” So your friend was off and you were left alone with Rachel, she was scanning the crowd, considering her options with a hum and then a smile broke out on her face, “Oh here we go. Come with me.”
You followed her, seemed like the best option for you and she took you over to the other side of the room and Rachel called out, “Amber!” Then she turned her head and you saw her for the first time. Wild curly red hair and blue eyes and freckles, pink glossy lips pulled up in a smile as she greeted her enthusiastically, “Hey Rach! What’s up?”
“I’m afraid I have a party guest who doesn’t know anyone here and was hoping you could show them a good time.”
The red-head’s gaze turned to you and she looked you up and down, smiled a bit brighter and you took the moment to take her in as well. She was fucking cute first off, one of the best dressed people here, made you feel undressed with her make up, the cute and tight blue dress she had on, the tall heels her sported that matched her obviously carefully chosen accessories. She had a glass of something delicious looking in her manicured grasp, and her speaking pulled you out of looking her over so intensely, “Well sure I’d love to!”
And Rachel was saying “Fantastic, bless you Amber.” and she was off and you were now left alone with apparently, Amber. “So you obviously know my name now but you are?”
You told her your name and she repeated it, she brought her glass up and took a sip, after she swallowed she repeated your name once again like she was truly trying to commit it to memory. It was endearing, she seemed like the kind of person you would want to remember your name. She asked, “So you came alone?”
“No uh I came with a friend.” She cocked her head at that, “And they abandoned you? Terrible for them but great for me I suppose. Let’s have a good time.”
She was certainly in a good mood, it was a bit infectious, she looked at the red solo cup you were holding and she pointed to it as she asked, “First off. What are you drinking?”
You looked into the cup and said, “Uhm bud light lime I think-” She made this disgusted sound. “Ugh! Which frat bro gave you that swill? Was it Todd? I bet it was Todd, not like you’d know who Todd is but whatever-” She reached out and took the cup from you and set it on a nearby table, “- point is, no more of that.”
You let out a small laugh and said, “What am I supposed to drink then?”
“Something actually good. Come on.” She took your hand with hers that wasn’t currently holding her glass and started to lead you away. “Where are we going?”
You were looking at your joined hands, hers felt so soft, she responded to you with a look to you over her shoulder, “To get you something worth drinking.”
She was looking for someone and found them in a few minutes and soon you were meeting her friend, Colby. You were in the kitchen and Amber was sitting up on the counter, you beside her as she told you, “Colby here is minoring in mixology and can make you something delectable. No one at this party can make you a better cocktail I guarantee it.”
“What do you like?” He asked and you weren’t sure how to respond, “Fuck, put me on the spot, I am not sure what to say.”
“So do you trust us to pick something for you?” Amber was looking at you with that smile and you could only say, “Yeah, sure. I trust you.”
She turned her attention to Colby and asked, “Thoughts?” He hummed and looked up to the ceiling before a snap of his fingers and pointed to her, “How about your drink?”
“Fucking shit are you trying to embarrass me? I just met them but yeah sure.” She rolled her eyes and you asked, “Her drink?”
Colby turned to the kitchen island and started work at it and said, “I had this exam where we had to come up with an original cocktail and make it in class for everyone to try and Amber stayed up with me way too late to help me out with it. I ended up passing with flying colors and have her to thank so it’s her drink.”
You let out this little shocked laugh at that, “Look at you in college and you already have a drink named after you. Aren’t you going places.” You teased and she nudged you with her shoulder as she said it, “Oh teasing me already? You’re getting comfortable! I like it.”
You decided at that moment that you liked her. The drink was presented to you shortly thereafter and it was unfairly good.
The time you had was also unfairly good. Turns out Amber knew basically everyone, she had so many people come up to her, talking to her, waves and hugs, little jokes but she didn’t linger on them, she kept you involved in the conversation and introducing you to people but mostly keeping her attention on you. She made you feel heard and listened to. She was funny, she asked you questions about yourself and told you some things about herself too.
There was this moment when you and her were in the living room and this song came on and she perked right up and she grabbed your hand and pulled you to her saying, ”I love this one! Dance with me?”
And what were you just going to say no to her? Having her in that tight dress up against you because of how many people were on the makeshift dance floor, the way her hips swung and her lips moved along with the words, you got a bit lost in it and several songs later you were being led upstairs by her with a wide smile.
She pulled you into this dark bedroom and you asked, “What are we doing?” She walked across the room and opened the sliding door and held her hand out, gesturing to the balcony strung up with lights, “Cooling down and getting away from the crowd for a bit.”
So you sat out on the balcony, and could still hear the music pouring out from the open windows on the lower level. She was leaning against the railing and looking up at the night sky and you were sitting on this chair and just looking at her. She caught you staring and glanced at you, a soft smile as she asked, “Are you having a good time?”
You gave a nod and said, “Yeah. I’ve been having a lot of fun.” She took a sip of her drink and said, “Good.”
“So are you in this sorority?” You asked and she scoffed and laughed and turned to face you, “No way! A lot of my friends are and the parties are fun. My program can be stressful and I like to unwind on the weekends.”
“Oh what is your program?” You asked and she took the seat across from you and crossed her legs, the hem of her dress rode up and more of those long legs were exposed to you, eyes lingered a moment longer than they should have, you wondered how high those freckles went before looking up to her face and she was smirking.
She caught you looking but let it go as she said, “Has to do with math, business and finance. All terribly interesting to you I am sure.”
She took another sip as you said, “I mean it isn’t really my thing but you like it?” She nodded, “I like the career options it offers me and I am good at it.”
You appreciated her honesty and said, “Fair enough.”
The conversation continued and she asked about your major and other things about you and you both ended up scooting your chairs closer together, she took off her heels and rested her feet on your lap which led you to asking, “How tall are those anyway?”
She looked down at them, “Oh about four and a half inches.” You almost choked on your drink and pulled the glass away, “Four and a half inches?!”
She walked and strutted and danced in them like they were nothing, she shrugged, “They aren’t even my tallest ones.” She said it so easily and you were very impressed.
“How tall are you then?” She finished her drink and set the glass down, she brought her feet off your lap and stood up in front of you, “Five foot two inches.”
You couldn’t help your laugh, “Oh God you are so cute. No wonder you wear those, how could anyone take you seriously otherwise?”
She looked at you, cock of one of her brows and she took the glass from your hand and set it aside, her hands came down and hiked the hem of her dress up just a little which made your own brows raise and she came forward. She sat on your lap, straddling you, her thighs on either side of your hips and you were taken aback by her boldness. Her arms hung loosely around you, hands behind your neck and she was leaning in close, her chest against yours, lips an inch away from yours as she asked, “Can you take me seriously like this?”
You could take her anywhere, anytime, any way like this. You breathed against her mouth, “Yes.”
Her only response was to lean in that bit extra and kiss you and she tasted like strawberry lipgloss and hints of citrus and vanilla from those drinks she had tonight. She pulled away far too soon and asked, “This is okay, right?”
You nodded, “More than okay.” and that was all that she needed to hear she kissed you again and took the lead, you followed, returning her affection, kissing her back. You were kind of in disbelief she had been flirting with you all night, lingering touches and looks, jokes and innuendo laced in what she said but you didn’t think she was serious. She just seemed like that kind of person, still it was hard to believe it. She seemed like the kind of girl who could have anyone she wanted at this party but she picked you.
You had her in your lap and she was kissing you, nipping at your bottom lip and her tongue invading your mouth and she let out this sweet little sigh, a soft moan and she pulled away to say, “Put your hands on me.”
So your hands went to her hips immediately and you felt the soft silky material of her dress and you squeezed, her hips stirred and she leaned back, she ground on you, her head fell back exposing the long column of her throat and her hair fell in the most inviting way. You gripped tighter and ground back onto her and she bit her bottom lip and you got this crazy urge and just went with it, your hands moved. One slid up her back and into her hair and pulled her back down to you to kiss her and your other hand slid down to grab her ass and she moaned into your mouth and you wanted to make her do that again and again. Her hands were still on the back of your neck and it just kept going.
It kept escalating, hands getting a bit bolder, kisses getting hotter and messier and she was breathing so hard and you were kissing her neck and about to finally slide your hand between her legs and up her dress when she was all of a sudden gone. She slipped out of your lap and got up, she looked flushed, hair a little messy from your hands being in it, her lipgloss was a mess and you were panting, looking up at her, wondering what she was doing when she said with this warm smile, “That was a lot of fun.”
What?
You were confused, she reached down and picked your drink up, she downed the rest of it and set the glass back down and you asked, “Was?”
She gave a confident nod, “Was. You’re a good time, thanks for a memorable Friday night. I got some stuff to do tomorrow so I gotta go.”
Her hand met your cheek and you were staring into those blue eyes and she said, “Enjoy the rest of the party. I introduced you to enough people that you should have fun.”
She pressed another kiss to your lips and it was way too short, she pulled away and you tried to follow, she booped your nose and stood up straight, “See you round.” She said it so lightly with this little wink and you melted a bit.
She picked up her heels and slid the door into the bedroom back open, a look at you again over her shoulder with a small wave and with a flip of her long red hair she was gone.
You were fucking stunned to be honest. It was going so well. You wondered if you did something wrong? You sat there, legs feeling a little weak and also still feeling absurdly turned on. When you regained enough of your composure you trekked back downstairs and came across Colby.
“Hey! You need another drink?” he asked and you nodded as you followed him to the kitchen.
“Something wrong?” He said it and you realized you hadn’t said anything the entire time he made your drink and you took the glass and you explained what happened. That you and Amber hung out all night and had a really great time, a good connection and even started to hook up but then she left really abruptly, you felt you did something wrong and that is when he started laughing.
“What’s so funny?” You asked and he said with a comforting hand on your shoulder, “Sorry to be the one to tell you this but this is Amber’s trademark.”
“Huh?” You asked and he elaborated. Amber had a reputation as being a tease. She was fun, well liked, friends with many but whenever she was at a party she would end up finding someone she clicked with and an intense make-out would happen mid-way through of which she would leave for the night. “But why?”
“No one is sure. Just a thing she does. Up to her tho if making out is as far as she wants to go, more power to her. Everyone around here knows what they are getting into with her, sorry you weren’t informed though. Nothing against you, it’s just how she is.”
Your friend found you again shortly afterwards and you both left, you never went back to that campus, didn’t get any of her information and so you never saw Amber again. Your friend listened to you vent and took you to a sympathy brunch the next day as a thank you for coming and as a sorry for what happened. Your friend did get into her sorority by the way.
You would still think of her sometimes throughout the years. Other people came and went but you still sometimes lingered on that party on a Friday night where the flirty red-head straddles your lap and takes your breath away when her mouth meets yours.
It was years later. You had been graduated and working for years. A close friend wanted to meet at this bar to get a drink and get caught up, it wa a Friday night again and you went up the bar to order a drink, you waited for the bartender and heard this light humming that got your attention and you looked down the length of the bar and your breath caught.
It couldn’t be.
Long curly red hair, blue eyes, freckles, a tight dress, a leather jacket, obscenely tall heels, manicured nails, and scarlet painted lips it had to be, it just had to so you slid down the bar with her name falling off your tongue, “Amber?”
She looked up from her phone to you and she thought for a moment, looking you over like she was really thinking about it before the wash of recognition hit and she said, “Wait, wait, I know you-” she hummed and then snapped her fingers and pointed at you as she said your name and you nodded. “Yeah it’s me!”
You were honestly shocked she remembered you and told her as such. “I try to never forget a face but especially not a name. And if memory serves, we had a really good time.”
She remembered you. Thought fondly of you and it made you smile wider. “That good time was cut a little too short in my opinion.”
She turned on her bar stool, looking you over, leaning on one hand under her chin as she asked, “Oh yeah? You think so?”
You leaned in closer, a confident nod and she said, “Maybe we should do something about that.”
Your friend ended up flaking but you did not fucking care. You talked, got caught up on what happened after college and flirted shamelessly and it ended up going the same way. You and her in the bathroom of this bar and in one of stalls, another furious make out, she was even better than you remembered, she tasted delicious, she seemed more fit, was somehow even more confident and aggressive sexually. Her back was to to the wall of the stall and your hand was almost up her dress when she stopped you, “Wait!” You stopped, confused and she said, “Not me. You can’t do me.”
You were again, confused, this kept happening around her. “Why not?”
She looked a little more serious and said, “I’m spoken for.” She was wearing this odd necklace, you noticed earlier, it was this silver bladed glove and she was playing with the charm of that necklace.
“He and I have an agreement. I am allowed to hook up with other people and uhm ‘service’ them but they can’t do me. Only he can.” She said it a bit shyly, you hadn’t seen her like that, you liked it, she was normally so confident, you wondered who it was that made her act that way, the power they held over her to make her of all people stumble over her words when thinking of them. “He likes the idea of me offering myself up and letting other people ‘use’ me to get off. I like that idea too. It’s fun.”
Did that son of a bitch know how lucky he was?
“Is that okay with you? Because I would love to get on my knees for you.” She asked with a cock of her head and you couldn’t believe it. You have Amber, this hot and sweet little thing that has been on your mind for years wanting you and so you asked that burning question, “What can you do?”
She smiled. “Anything you want.”
Oh this Friday night was going to beat out that last one for sure.

DESIRE
Part 35
Things get heated in Vegas.
Tumblr media
Paul gently stroked Joe's cheek, hoping to wake him. He groaned, moving his head off Paul’s chest. “Baby,”
“Huh?” Joe moaned, keeping his eyes closed. “Let’s go to bed. It’s almost one.” Paul nudged him a little more urging him to get up. He was so cute when he was tired, eyes squinting, trying to avoid the light, his hair messy. He threw off the robe that he had been wearing and crawled in under the covers, closely followed by Paul. His face warmed seeing Joe immediately pull the covers up over his naked body. Paul lay behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist. Joe nodded off pretty quickly while Paul was just happy to lay holding him until he eventually drifted off.
It was almost 8:30 when Paul woke up. He rolled onto his back and looked to his left. Joe was lying on his stomach, head turned to face him. Strands, of hair had fallen in front of his face. Paul could just about see the fresh stitches on his temple. He knew it was a simple accident but it didn’t stop him being pissed off about it. That and the fact that he didn’t find out about the Wyatt attack until the last minute. He had to contain his anger sitting next to Vince watching it all unfold. He knew Joe could take it but he had become so protective of him in recent weeks that he would do anything in his position of power to give him anything. He could also see the fresh scratches and bruises that had appeared throughout his arms, side and back.
Paul had always found marks sexy but only when he was causing them. It made him think about the first time when he looked at Joe in a different way. It was back in 2014 when The Shield were up against Evolution at the Payback PPV. That time when he, Randy and Dave beat Joe with kendo sticks, followed by a steel chair. Not only that but the very next night when he was beaten with a steel chair. It turned him on immensely and he had been paying special attention to him since but he never made a move until after they got to know each other better during their 2016 feud.
“What are you thinking?” came Joe monotone voice against the pillow. Paul’s eyes trailed up to his. “Just looking at your battle scars.” A lazy smile crept across Joe face. “I dread to think what they look like this morning, much less feel.”
“At least you can rest until Sunday.” Paul said trailing his fingers gently down his spine, down to the base of his back. “I’ll need it.”
“It’ll be worth it baby, to see you with that title again. It’s been too long.” Paul re-assured him. Joe cast his eyes downwards. “It is what you want, isn’t it?”
Joe hesitated before answering. He turned on his side, wincing a little. “I just feel bad for Drew.” He pursed his lips. “I mean, it was meant for him wasn’t it?”
“Yeah but he doesn’t know that. It wasn’t fully decided until I spoke with creative.”
“He’s worked so hard for it-” Joe started. “Hey, look, we all know how hard he’s worked. He’ll get it one day but not just yet. It’s your time understand?” Joe really did feel troubled by this whole set up. He felt that this was just being given to him because of his relationship with Paul and he knew a few people would realise that. Joe always wanted to work for his title shots. “Do you understand?” Paul asked again. Joe nodded.
“I don’t want you overthinking this whole thing or losing sleep about it. Just rest up this week and do what you do best on Sunday.” Paul said placing a kiss on his lips before crawling out of bed, naked. Joe turned on his back and smiled, checking out his sweet ass as he went into the ensuite.
He listened as Paul ran the bath and thought about what he had just said. Seemed he would have this no other way. Joe himself agreed that he had busted his ass for almost a year with no sign of a title shot so true, it was his time. He just felt bad that he was getting in over Drew considering how well they had become acquainted in the last month.
Paul came out of the bathroom and came towards him. “I’m running you a nice relaxing bath baby. It’ll help, if only a little.” He said sitting at Joe’s side as he sat up. “You’re too good to me.” The young man told him. “It’s only temporary, while you’re hurt. Wait until I get you to my place next week.” Paul smirked with a dark glint in his eye. “Can’t wait.” His lips curved into a smile as Paul’s hand curved around the back of his neck and motioned him towards him for a slow, sensual kiss. Joe got up off the bed. “Check on the bath.” Paul advised, smacking him on the ass.
Joe eyebrows furrowed as he checked out his back in the bathroom mirror. It was as bad as he thought it would be. Hopefully creative didn’t have any nasty surprises in store for him come Sunday.
Carefully he eased himself into the bath. The heat of the water increased the pain in his back initially but he started to feel more relaxed as he lay back. He cupped the water in his hands, releasing it onto his chest and lay with his head back, eyes closed. It was so relaxing, he almost fell asleep again. Paul appeared at the door. His face softened when he saw Joe in the tub. He looked so peaceful. He couldn’t imagine wanting to hurt him like he’d done in the past but maybe he’d feel different in a week.
Paul watched with pride as the referee counted 1, 2, 3 when Joe pinned Bray. A huge smile spread across his face as the referee handed him the Universal Title. Joe was so overcome with emotion as he took hold of the belt. He had worked so hard for this and had just taken part in one of the hardest fought and best matches of his career. He felt banged up, still sore from the attack on Raw but he didn’t care.
His eyes met Paul’s first as he arrived backstage. Paul nodded at him with a smile just as he was bombarded by the other wrestlers congratulating him. Once he worked his way through the crowd, he got to Vince, who was almost on the verge of tears as he hugged him and finally Paul, who pulled him into a bear hug. “So proud of you.” Was all he said. Joe knew he was just keeping things low key as not to draw any attention. There would be plenty of time for talk later. All Joe wanted to do now was shower. He made his way, with his belt to the men’s locker room. A few of the guys were already in there, Colby, Tom, Matthew, Claudio, Kevin and Drew. Joe immediately went over to Drew and hugged him. “What a match!” Drew said with a smile, clearly glad that it was over. “You guys put on a hell of a show.” Claudio chimed in, putting his arms around both men. “We must celebrate!” He said throwing his arms up in the air. The others agreed, even Colby. Joe only had plans to go back to the Venetian with Paul. “Whaddya say Joe?” Drew asked. He couldn’t deny that smile. “Sounds a plan.” He said giving in. He barely ever went out for drinks with the guys and they were in Vegas. He grabbed his phone from his bag and quickly called Paul.
“What’s up?” Joe hated interrupting him while he was working. “Listen, some of the guys want to take me out for drinks. They kinda goaded me into it. Do you mind?” Paul was quiet for a moment. “No problem babe, I’ll be here another while anyway and you deserve it. Where are you guys going?”
“I’m not sure yet, somewhere on the Strip I’m sure. It’ll only be for two or three anyway.”
“OK cool, let me know where you end up.”
“Love you.” Joe told him to which Paul replied “Love you too.”
Everyone agreed go to the Dorsey at The Venetian since it was central Strip. They all freshened up and agreed to meet there around eleven. While Joe was changing into a his black suit and black shirt, he heard the door open. Paul was early. “Look at you.” He cooed seeing how good Joe looked. He rarely got to see him in a suit. “Makes me wanna keep you here.” He said pulling him in for a kiss. “I won’t be late. Just thought it’d be nice since we’re in Vegas. You wanna join us? We’re just actually going to the Dorsey downstairs.”
“Aww babe, I”d love to but its been a long day so I’ll just have a drink here.”
“You sure?” Joe checked. “Yeah, I’m good. Who’s out anyway?” He asked. “Kevin, Tom, Matthew, Claudio, Drew and Colby. Just a few of us.” Paul pulled away. Joe could see the look change on Paul’s face. He placed his hands on his hips. “I thought you and Colby were no longer on speaking terms?” Joe shifted. “Well, there’s just the odd hello here and there. It’s kinda unavoidable since we work together.” Joe tried to reason with him.
“Doesn’t sound like it.” Paul said. He looked annoyed. “Claudio just suggested drinks when we were all in the locker room. I could hardly say no?” Paul walked out of the bedroom into the living room area with Joe in pursuit “Look, I should’ve told you when I first mentioned drinks but I…” Paul stopped and turned to face him “You what?” Joe backed away a little “I was worried you might be annoyed.” The young man was frustrated. “You’re right. I am. I specifically asked you not to get involved with him-”
“We’re just going for drinks with friends. That’s all! Don’t you trust me?” Joe asked, searching his eyes. Paul’s eyebrow furrowed “Don’t you?” Joe asked again, his eyes starting to look a little glassy. Joe swallowed, backing away and going back into the bedroom. Paul’s look said it all. He could hear Joe starting to gather his things in the ensuite. “What are you doing?” Paul asked coming into the bedroom. “You clearly don’t trust me so I’m done.” Joe was visibly upset. “I’m sorry baby. Don’t go-” He said grabbing Joe arm. “No, not this time. I was so fucking stupid to think I could try this again.” He said zipping up his bag. He was angry now. Paul grabbed his arm again, this time not letting him go. “Look, look! I’m sorry I upset you. You know how I feel about Colby.”
“There’s nothing going on. I can’t believe you don’t trust me with him.” At that moment, Joe phone rang. He took it out of his pocket. It was Drew. Paul eyed the phone before Joe answered. “Hey, I’m just held up a little. I’ll be down soon.”
Paul took a few steps back. “Y’know what? You do what you want. See if I care.” Joe scowled at him before grabbing his bag and leaving the room. He was seething. He blinked his eyes hard as he walked towards the elevators, trying to ward off tears. Luckily, reception was quiet since it was Sunday night and he was able to get himself a room. He quickly dropped his bag off and went down to the bar. The guys were all sat around a table in the corner. “About time!” Tom announced as he approached the table. “Sorry guys!” Joe apologised forcing a smile. “Have some champagne! Time to celebrate!” Claudio said, already filling a glass for Joe. They all toasted to his win and a good night for them all in general.
“Where’s Paul?” Drew asked whilst the others were all chatting amongst themselves. “He’s upstairs.” Joe simply said, taking a swig of his beer. “Didn’t care to join us for a drink?”
“You know what he’s like. Anyway, I don’t wanna talk about him.” Joe called to the passing bartender “Can I get another round?” The bartender got to work immediately. Drew looked Joe over. Something seemed off, like he was hiding something.
An hour passed and everyone was moderately drunk. Joe was in mild conversation with Colby when his phone rang. Colby could see it was Paul, just before Joe put it away. “Aren’t you gonna get that?”
“No, It’s fine.” Joe shrugged. “Listen man, tell me if I’m out of line but…you seem different tonight. Are things OK with you and Paul?” He asked cautiously so the others wouldn’t hear. “No, they’re not.” He said before sighing. “Do you want to talk about it?” Joe looked him in the eyes “Actually, no. I just wanna have a good time with you guys and forget about it.” Colby backed up “It’s cool man, whatever you want.”
It was around 1am when the guys decided to call it a night and go to their respective hotels. “Hang on for a moment.” Joe told Colby as the others left.
“I didn’t want to come off as a dick earlier. You know that’s not me.” Joe started apologising as they stood in the lobby area. “Hey man it’s all good. Despite what’s happened between us over the past month or so, you know I’m always here for you.”
“Appreciate it man. Where are you staying?” Joe asked. “Here. I’ve never stayed here before, thought I’d treat myself.”
“Well It’s been a long day. I’m shattered.” Joe said as they walked towards the elevators. “At least were here tomorrow for Raw so can chill for a bit.”
“Well, this is me.” Joe said as they stopped at the 10th floor. “You gonna be OK? I don’t mind keeping you company…” Colby offered. Joe eyes trailed in his direction as the elevator stopped and the doors opened. He didn’t need to say anything. Colby stepped out into the hallway and walked to Joe’s room in silence. Nothing had been touched. It just looked like he’d left his suitcase in and came down to the bar which meant that he had probably been in Paul’s room beforehand.
Joe closed the room door behind them and set the key card aside. Colby walked into the living room area and looked out the window, taking in the night view. Joe followed, taking off his jacket and setting it on the back of the chair. Quietly he moved behind Colby and placed his hand on his right shoulder, urging him to turn around. Without a word, he kissed him gently on the lips. Colby reciprocated momentarily but moved away slowly. “What’s the matter?” Joe asked. “I don’t want to regret this.”
“You won’t.” He leaned in to kiss him again, more forceful this time. “Joe, please-”
“I thought you wanted this?” Joe searched his eyes. “I do but, you’re drunk…pissed off with Paul. I just…you’ve gotta understand where I’m coming from?” Colby was being reasonable. Joe moved away, lowering to the sofa. “I do. It’s not fair on you man.” Colby joined him on the sofa. “Do you mind me asking what happened?”
“Things got a little rocky a couple of weeks ago when I went to stay at his in Connecticut so I left earlier than I had planned. I thought that was it but last Friday, we talked and ended up spending the weekend together in Denver.”
“When I told him I was going for drinks tonight, he was fine at first but he got pissed off when he heard you would be there.” Colby rolled his eyes “It’s just drinks with friends. What does he think is gonna happen between us?” Colby shook his head in amusement. “He doesn’t trust me when it comes to you and I can’t live like that. I had to make a choice.”
“So that’s why you walked out tonight?” Colby pursed his lips. “Yeah. I had enough.” Joe let out an exasperated sigh. “I’m just tired man.” Joe leaned forward and lowered his head into his hands. Colby could see that he was starting to cry. He moved closer and put his arms around Joe “Aww man, don’t cry.” Joe buried his head into his friends shoulder and sobbed quietly. “I hate to see you like this.” He stroked the back of his neck, gently rocking him. Joe moved away, rubbing his eyes. “I’m sorry. I just feel like a mess.” Colby took hold of his shoulders. “Listen to me. I don’t want to see you upset. You’re not a mess. You’re a brilliant man and my best friend. You deserve the best.” Joe blinked and nodded. He felt ashamed. He didn’t want Colby to see him like this. “Just get some sleep man.” Joe nodded standing up. He stood up and got undressed down to his boxers while Colby pulled back the covers on the bed and moved the cushions aside. Joe brushed his teeth and came back into the bedroom. Colby forced a smile. “Will you stay a while. Just until I fall asleep? I don’t wanna be alone.” Joe as asked timidly.
“Of course.” He nodded. Joe got into the bed and watched as he undressed, neatly setting his shirt and trousers aside before turning off the lights. The room was now bathed on a red glow, coming from the nearby Hi-Roller outside. Colby climbed in next to Joe, who was lying on his back, eyes lowered to his chest. Colby moved closer, allowing Joe to lean his head into his chest for comfort. He placed his hand on Joe abdomen. There was something so soothing lying with Colby, hearing his light breaths and feeling his heartbeat that it didn’t take Joe long to nod off.
Joe awoke around nine the following morning. The room was bright since the curtains hadn’t been drawn. He had been lying in the same position as he had fallen asleep in. Colby started to stir, moving his head. He groaned, opening his eyes slowly.
“What time is it?” He asked groggily. Joe grabbed his phone from the night stand. “It’s just gone nine. Thanks for staying.“ Joe turned in to face him. “No worries. You feeling a bit better?” Colby asked, stroking his cheek. “Rested. So glad we don’t have to travel today.”
“I know. What are you gonna do?” Colby asked, stroking Joe forearm. “I don’t know. I never made plans. I normally just chill with Paul.”
“Why don’t we go somewhere for a big breakfast. There’s a place I’ve been to before called the Peppermill. Wanna go there?”
“A big breakfast sounds perfect about now.” His stomach rumbled at the thought. Colby laughed upon hearing it. His hand trailed down to Joe stomach where he tickled him. Joe laughed aloud, squirming, trying to fight him off as Colby climbed on top of him, continuing to tickle him. He grabbed Joe by the wrists and pinned him to the mattress. Joe could feel his cock getting very hard as Colby did this.
“What are you gonna do now?” he teased, lowering his head closer to Joe. Their eyes met. Without hesitation, Joe lifted his head off the pillow and kissed Colby. Within seconds, they were entangled in a passionate kiss, hands roaming each others bodies, scrambling to take their boxers off. Joe rolled over onto his stomach, arching himself up on his knees. Colby climbed behind him and prized his ass cheeks apart, leaned forward and started to tease his opening with his tongue. Joe moaned at the warm wet feeling. “So good…” He looked behind and all he could see was Colby’s head buried in his ass. He dripped his saliva around the opening and lined the head of his cock up with the opening of Joe’s hole. He eased his way in as Joe lowered his head, breathing deeply. In no time their bodies were rocking the bed, slowly at first, then becoming more steady as Colby picked up the pace. “Aaaah fuck. Jesus!” Joe let out, trying to maintain his balance. All Joe could hear was the slamming of Colby”s balls every time he thrust into him along with his grunts. He sure had stamina when it came to fucking. Colby gripped his pelvis tightly, steadying him as he came hard in his ass. Joe buried his head into the pillows below as Colby shuddered behind him breathlessly. He eventually released Joe, rolling back onto his heels. He watched as Joe rolled over onto his back, strands of hair strewn across his damp forehead. He smiled lazily at Colby, watching as he leaned down to kiss him.
“I don’t know about you but I need food.” Colby said getting off the bed. “I’m gonna go freshen up in my room and I’ll meet you at like 10:30 in the Lobby?”
“Sounds perfect.” Joe said getting off the bed. He followed Colby to the door. “Hey.” Colby turned around. “Thanks man.” Joe kissed him again before letting him leave. Joe smiled to himself as he walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. He went to the bedside to plug in his phone. He pursed his lips upon seeing a couple of unread WhatsApp messages from Paul. A horrible feeling invaded the pit of his stomach as he opened them.
11:30pm - I’m sorry about tonight. I do trust you. I don’t want to lose you again.
8:45am – Hope you’re OK? I want to make things better. Can we talk?
Joe exhaled setting the phone down and went to take his shower. All he could think of was that it was too late for Paul to say he trusted him. Why didn’t he say it to his face last night? Again, Paul had him wrecking his brain. He didn”t know how things might pan out with Colby since he was known to sleep around. He probably wouldn’t want anything serious. It was too soon anyway. He decided he was gonna just play it cool in the meantime and see how things pan out.
When he came back into the bedroom, his phone had just stopped ringing. It was Paul. He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
One thing that was certain, Paul wasn’t the type to give up on something so easily. He would probably see him this evening for Raw and part of him wanted to get this over with.
“I was wondering if I’d hear from you at all.” Paul started. “I’m not long up.” Joe said walking over to the window. “Good night?” Joe hated this small talk. “Yeah, was a nice change.” There was a moment of silence. “Are you at the Venetian still?” Paul asked.
“Yeah.” Joe started pacing around the room.
“Can I see you?” Paul eventually asked. “I have to head out soon.”
“When you’re free?” Paul pushed. “OK. I should be around one.” Joe told him. He was already dreading this conversation. “OK come up to my room.” Paul said before ending the call.

About My OCs (Colby and Jack)
Tumblr media
This is my fantasy, so bear with me here.
Colby Roberts
Tumblr media
“Colby... I can’t do this...” - me, a few weeks after we have an argument
“I still want you anyway... because I’m madly in love with you...” - Colby
For those who don’t know, Colby is Jack’s son, so if you wonder where he gets those looks from, here’s my answer.
Colby was born to a extremely wealthy heiress, who’s father was practically unknown because, he just vanished off the face of the earth, and since he was born to a wealthy family, it didn’t take long before he starting falling into the wrong crowd... with his drug habits starting to catch up at his adult years. His drug habit, oddly enough, didn’t affect him as much as the doctors thought - because they were thinking, surely, he’d have either died from an overdose, or somehow turned into a vegetable. But yet, that didn’t happen. And there was nothing conclusive with his bloodwork. Since he was filed on charges, they gave him two options (which, as far as I can tell, seem to be the mother’s choices) - either rot in prison for possession, or go into the military.
You can pretty much tell which option he went for.
Colby enlisted at the military, which at 18... he had plenty of time to start shaping his body - and he was a genius too. His scores were practically almost record breaking - considering the record was from 16 years ago! Colby is an expert tactician, and when you added hand-to-hand combat training plus all the muscle he gained from training... he was practically a Spartan.
During his time, he met Randy when, by chance, he was a captain - and Randal was a second lieutenant. In fact, Colby and Randal felt something between them. In fact, at one point, Colby once told me that if you put him and Randal in a room all alone at some point during the night, you might be able to hear Randy’s pleasuring at taking Colby on. However, it wasn’t just at a relationship level - they really were an unstoppable force.
Rather disappointingly, Colby resigned from the military after serving 8 years - and ended up heading back to Riverview... and somehow, relapsing again.
A year later, Colby ended up in my care as I was his sober companion after his relapse, and to be honest, when I met the guy, he was honestly more intimidating than I ever imagined. Sort of like the Hulk, but scaled down, and human.
To be completely honest, the first 2 weeks, he had been avoiding me since he insisted he didn’t need my help - but I stayed - because I wanted to get him to open up about himself. But - when you live with a 230+ lb man, you’d kind of want to stay out of his way when he simply won’t budge. Didn’t stop me from trying though. Sure enough, I gradually got him to be able to quietly strum his six-string guitar on the occasional night.
Our relationship took a little bit of an unexpected leap, because one night, Colby was invited to the family dinner, and this being a part where the father walked out on him... it lead to them being quite verbally abusive to him about it. Of course, we walked out and headed home with them still being pretty abusive... and hearing his mental health shattering into a million pieces. By that time though, I’d been his companion for what was stipulated, but because I didn’t want to leave him in that state, tried to renew the contract.
The lawyer said... no. So I ended up lying much to the bemusement of my therapist.
I was wondering if I was going to get away with it when I still accompanied him to his musical composition job (guitars and pianos are his favourite) but I had to remind him at the end of the day that I still was his sober companion.
“Like hell you are.” Colby shouted. “You sure as hell haven’t been for at least a few weeks.” Much to my shock, I thought I had had it for a moment.
A sigh came from him shortly after. “I knew you lied when I called her lawyer the next day after you said he had extended the contract.”
I tried to figure out what I was going to say next. “Colby, I...”
“I’m not angry over this.” Colby inched forward towards me to corner me between him and a wall. “I’m actually quite touched... since you saw the state that I was in after that... so for a while after that I adopted a more... aggressive mood.”
I was actually frozen stiff because he had cornered me between him and the wall with both bulging arms at the side of me.
“Until I found out you had been lying last week, I started to pull you along a little to see if you would realise that I was fine and moved on... but instead... you stayed. Didn’t occur to me that at the same time you were also having feelings for me... and I was still in denial until I gave into your feelings...”
Colby gradually moved his left hand off the wall and started feeling my back down.
“So... I want to offer you something... you stay with me... and we’ll see where our feelings for each other go... sound good?” Colby whispered.
At this point, I could hardly control myself, and Colby knew I was begging to be given the treatment that I’ve sorely needed. I was still gay at that time, but my love life had gone nowhere... and I was fidgeting a little because this was practically a dream come true for me.
“I’ll take that as a yes...” Colby later leaned in and gave me a rather sloppy lick on my face. And the next thing I knew he had leaned even closer to start making out with me.
“Why did you think I was this aggressive with you... you are so damn cute...”
After work, we gradually continued to have feelings for each other much to the disgust from my classmates with that lick.
So, we dated, we laughed, we cuddled, we had our idea of hunter and prey... which I have to say, was one of the very sexual relieving moments we’ve had together. When that happened, Colby flew up the ladder to being a hit movie director, and I wasn’t trailing far behind with my (slightly stalled) career in journalism as I was being promoted, and transferred to Lucky Palms.
Sounds perfect, you might think. Actually, in a way, it wasn’t. Because Randy showed up asking for Colby. More on that in his side of the story.
Jack Winter
Tumblr media
“I wasn’t expecting myself to be this... swept away with you.” - Jack, slowly leaning into me for a spot where he has the advantage on me
“Yet... here you are, wanting me as much as everyone else we know.” - me, trying to find a way for him to stop but realising I’m going to be doomed
With Jack, complications turn into one story, so trying to analyse him is almost easier said than done - simply because: he’s a pure-bred demon.
How demons work in my world, is that demons are in a world separate to ours - they have their own world much like fantasies. How they go into human bodies is through the sort of capsule that is a remote link to a human body. Some demons don’t use the bodies at all because they’re more nature demons, but the human demons - those are a different story. Jack is the latter, and one of the more emotionally manipulative kind. It works like this: he takes a body - steps on anyone’s toes and makes them make terrible decisions or suffer a embarrassing (but not fatal - he’s not that cruel) fate. All targets are random, so one day, a wealthy bachelor might suffer an a problem one day, and then the next, it could be someone like me.
When Jack just “appeared” (what Randy and I joke about how he was created), he was one hell of a rollercoaster to deal with - he was having a hellva lot of fun slowly manipulating people into doing stuff they couldn’t realise. A hell of a time for him, after all, with all the powers he had access to, the fun was going to keep rolling like a Bugatti Chiron with an endless supply of fuel. You wouldn’t run out of it, you’d keep going.
That changed when Jack met Colby’s mother - when Jack was about to ensnare his powers on her, for some reason, she fell in love with her. Why that happened, we may never know, but the next morning, she saw a gorgeous hunk of a man sitting at her desk - which took some explaining on Jack’s part (that old charmer) to what was going on. Thankfully, she decided to not alert anyone, and allowed him to stay in her house - and getting to know that mysterious man who had suddenly appeared. Over that time, they both got together, had long walks, and spent a few days being intimate with each other - and satisfying each other as well. The only people who knew the truth about Jack were; Colby’s mother, the staff at the house, and a lawyer handling her estate. The romance didn’t last as long as she hoped - because one day, Jack was summoned to go back into the demon world, much to her sadness (the one time she was in complete love, according to Jack). Until she was unwell one morning and found out she was pregnant - and decided to keep the baby.
So 30 plus years later, when she died, he came back hoping to continue everything... instead, she died of an untreatable cancer tumor... with a son that had grown up to be living in Lucky Palms after moving from Riverview. The lawyer had a moment alone and discussed what had happened in those 30 years - her death, and her son... as well as some last letters to him about getting him to “finish what she started.” With that said, Jack had no idea what to do on the day he knocked on the Lucky Palms door - at that time, we were just engaged, and I was quite shocked when Jack said he was Colby’s father even though he looked quite young.
Obviously, it wasn’t without it’s shortcomings. Since Colby practically had so many questions, it really did beg the question... who was this person who looked, in age, practically close to a point where it wouldn’t make any sense?
So, at dinner, the three of us (in a rather tense manner) had dinner that I had decided to cook. While we were discussing it, we started to notice a few similarities in habits and preferences. Except on Jack’s side, they were much more prominent when he managed to somehow tempt me to get close to him.
When he was planning on spending the night in Randy’s old room (which was empty since at the time, Deacon and Randy were experimenting with sleeping together), Jack started to tempt himself with me. He started to get closer and closer, and before we knew it, Jack had me pinned on the bed and began his near identical and significantly rougher (sloppier kisses, sloppier licks and so on) but then, he also backed off thankfully 10 seconds before Colby walked in. Before you asked, I did tell Colby about the similar interactions he did in that one move, but obviously, we were still skeptical. So, with Jack’s permission, we managed to withdraw blood from him and using Adam’s futuristic DNA sequencer, managed to get a father-son match with Jack and Colby.
Before you asked how the two finally settled their differences (and have Colby get all the questions he needed), Deacon suggested we put them in a rage room to settle it. Sure enough, I had to pay for damages, because, well, they did put a “few” holes in the wall when they were done. And a new set of clothes.

California. You knew there must be something special about it because people talked about it often enough, and you wanted to see it for yourself. You loved the small countryside town in Italy that you grew up in, but the warm California sun was calling your name. After lots of researching, your heart landed on Santa Maria, California. A short drive from LA, and right near the water.
You took your time getting settled. The first few months were spent getting to know the area and meeting new people. You also used this time to travel and explore before your roots started to grow. One of the first weeks you were there, you took a short trip to LA and San Diego for a weekend, so heading North this time was a logical decision.
Making your way through San Jose and San Francisco, you headed towards Sacramento. Along the way you made a stop in a small city. You weren’t sure if it was the name of the city, or the fact that the hotels were cheap, but you had a good feeling about this place. That city? Charming.
You made sure to wake up early, knowing you only had a few hours before you were supposed to check out of your hotel room, but you remembered seeing a local coffee shop across the street you that wanted to try. It was a seemingly random choice, until you saw him. A cutie with a huge smile, sitting at one of the tables along the front window. Your eyes locked with his, and you felt your heart start to race. Who was he?
“I can help who’s next!” The gleeful sound of the barista’s voice pulled your attention away from the mystery guy. The look on your face made it clear that you had been focused on something else, and as you stepped forward the young guy standing behind the counter flashed you a smile.
“Welcome! The name is Colby! What could I grab for you today?” His bubbly personality brought a smile to your face.
“Just a cappuccino, and a couple of those breakfast cookies!”
“You got it!” After pressing a couple buttons on the register, he told you your total. As you were digging through your change purse, Colby spoke up again, but in a slightly hushed tone, “He’s cute isn’t he?”
You blinked a couple times, not quite sure if you’d heard him right.
“The guy at the table over there,” he said as he motioned slightly with his chin, “that’s who you were checking out wasn’t it?”
Looking down at your hands for a second as you weighed your options, you decided to be honest and go with it. Making eye contact with him again, you confessed, “You caught me!” before letting out a light laugh. “I’ve just got a thing for bright smiles, you know?”
He winked at you knowingly. “He keeps looking over here, in case you were wondering.”
You felt your face flush, and you just looked at him not sure what to say next.
“His name is Juice. Well- it’s Juan, but everyone around here calls him Juice. And don’t let the kutte scare you off, he’s the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet.”
Trying to take some of the focus off of yourself, you suggested, “You seem to know a lot about him, maybe you should give it a shot!”
“Oh believe me honey, I have. I’m not quite his type,” he joked as he playfully ran his fingers along his impeccably trimmed facial hair.
“You on the other hand, you should most definitely go say hi. Especially with that cute little accent of yours, he’ll be head over heals in no time.”
Rolling your eyes and laughing, you handed him your money before attempting to brush off the situation once more, “It’s too early for this. I haven’t even had my coffee yet!”
Giving you a playful, yet understanding nod, Colby took your money and said, “Suit yourself!” before winking at you once again.
A few short minutes later, Colby was handing you your drink along with a small bag containing your cookies. His grip on the bag was firm for a couple more seconds as he leaned in slightly and whispered, “You-know-who is coming this way.”
Pulling the bag out of his hand, your eyes wide, you laughed lightly and purposely turned away from the counter with your back in Juice’s direction.
Taking the few steps around the side of the counter, you picked up the shaker labeled “cinnamon” and put a couple dashes on top of your cappuccino. As you turned around, you nearly bumped into someone and spilled your entire drink on them. Looking up, you realized that Colby wasn’t lying. There was Juice, and there was that smile again.
“Oh! So sorry. Clumsy me needs to watch where she’s going more often.”
As his smile grew even larger, he still hadn’t said anything in return. He reached past you to grab a couple sugar packets, and you caught a hint of the cologne he was wearing. He smelled SO GOOD.
“Not from around here?” he asked with a smirk on his face.
“What gave it away?” you asked teasingly.
“Well, certainly not the accent!”
His response made you giggle.
“Juan,” he said as he brought his hand up, “but everyone just calls me Juice.”
Setting your drink on the counter, you extended your hand, all the while thinking, “Yeahhhh I already knew that,” but responding with,“Y/N. Nice to meet you!”
“Likewise!” After a small pause, your hand still in his, he asked, “So, any chance I might run into you again tomorrow morning?”
A million things were going through your mind. Stepping out of your comfort zone and meeting new people, making memories, that’s what you wanted to do on this trip. Heck, it was the whole reason you made the move to California in the first place. On top of that, you knew you only had a little over 2 hours until you had to be out of your hotel room. Would you be able to extend your stay there? You were just going to have to hope for the best because before you knew it you were replying with, “Yeah, for sure! That sounds great.”
As you felt your face flush once again, a small smile crept onto his face, as he nodded excitedly and finally let go of your hand.
“Okay,” he replied, his voice firm, but clearly thrilled.
“Okay,” you repeated through a smile.
“Okay then.” That was the last thing he said to you, before he turned around and walked back to his table, sugar packets in hand.
As you headed for the door, now on a mission to get back to your hotel and see if you could add on another night on to your stay, Colby caught your attention, “Guess I’ll be seeing you again tomorrow! Until then, beautiful lady!”
All you could do was laugh and shake your head.
It didn’t take long to sort everything out at the hotel front desk. Turns out not many people choose Charming as their vacation spot, so before you knew it you had 2 more nights added on. One for tonight, and an extra one, just for safe measure.
You spent most of your day wandering around the city, finding cute local shops who’s clothing was right up your alley, as well as a couple souvenir shops. Yes, Charming has souvenir shops. Though shopping gave you something to focus on for a little while, pretty much your entire day was spent thinking about Juice, and whether he was actually going to show tomorrow.
Sleeping that night wasn’t easy. Something about him made those butterflies come alive in your stomach, and you couldn’t wait to have a real conversation with him. Sometime during the night, sleep finally consumed you, and before you knew it you were waking up to the sound of your alarm.
Flipping through your clothes you found your favourite sundress and slipped it on. Giving yourself one last glance in the mirror, you took a deep breath and slowly breathed out. You felt your body relax ever so slightly, but those butterflies were still very much alive.
As you were walking across the street, you saw someone sitting on a motorcycle in front of the coffee shop, and it didn’t take long to figure out it was Juice; the tattoos on his head kind of gave him away. Seconds later he noticed you walking towards him and that smile of his melted your heart once again.
“There she is!” The excitement in his voice was obvious, and you couldn’t help but smile in return.
“Fancy meeting you here,” you replied playfully.
“Shall we?” he asked, swinging his leg from around his bike and standing up. As you got close to the door, he took a couple fast steps ahead of you and pulled the door open. “After you.” Motioning with his hand for you to step inside, you nodded your head in thanks and immediately locked eyes with Colby at the counter, who gave you a cheeky grin.
A few short minutes later you and Juice were sitting down at that same table by the window you saw him and some of the guys at the day before.
“So, is this ‘your table’?” you asked jokingly.
“As a matter of fact, it is. Colby has this booth reserved for me every morning from 8-10.” You couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, but a smile slowly crept onto his face and he broke, “Nah, I’m just kidding. I do like this table though, so if it’s free, it’s usually the one I grab.”
You laughed right along with him; you already really liked this goofy guy.
The conversation started out slow, neither one of you really knowing what to talk about, but once you found some common ground, there was no stopping you. How long had it been? Minutes? Hours? You weren’t sure, but you didn’t care.
Every once in a while Colby would come by and ask if you guys needed anything else. At first you thought maybe it was something staff normally did here, but you slowly realized that no, he was just snooping; wanting to make sure things were going “smoothly” between you two. A self-proclaimed wing-man of sorts.
“So, this might be a stupid question...but I have to ask. Was it hard to learn English? I- I just mean- you speak it so well, and I’ve always imagined that learning a new language wouldn’t be easy!”
You couldn’t help but smile at how caring he was. He truly seemed interested in getting to know you. “Oh no, that’s not a stupid question at all!” you shook your head lightly as you answered, “It wasn’t too difficult. English is one of the most spoken languages in the world, so you’re exposed to it fairly often. And my parents were really good about making sure my siblings and I understood it.
“They sound like smart people. You must miss them.” His words really hit home. You did miss them, but you knew this was where you wanted to be. It may have only been a couple months, but California was really starting to feel like a second home.
After a slight hesitation, and a deep breath to keep the tears at bay, you confessed, “I do- I do miss them. But they know I’m happy here. And technology is a great thing. Staying in touch is pretty easy nowadays!”
Juice nodded, he knew this all too well. After all, technology was kind of his thing.
Something told you that maybe it might be fun to try and teach him some words in Italian. You reached over and picked up the small plate that his breakfast sandwich had been sitting on.
“Piatto.”
He looked slightly confused for a second until he realized what you were doing. Trying to repeat after you, he stumbled a little bit, “P- pieddo?” He laughed lightly, “Is that what you said?”
A smile spread across your face as you repeated, “piatto.”
“Ahh okay okay, piatto?”
“Yeah! That’s it! Perfect!”
He repeated it a couple more times, and smiled wide once he felt like he had the hang of it.
You continued picking up the few items that were on the table, or pointing at things around the coffee shop and saying their name in Italian. Salt and pepper, “sale e pepe,” napkin, “tovagliolo,” sugar, “zucchero,” coffee mug, “tazza di caffe.” Each time, Juice would repeat what you had just said, sometimes taking a couple tries until it felt right.
A couple times you even tried saying words without pointing the objects out and getting him to guess what it might be. Clock, “Orologio,” plant, “pianta,” customer, “cliente.” Overall he did an amazing job, but you started to worry that maybe he wasn’t enjoying this as much as you were, so you decided to do one last one.
You pointed out the window at his motorcycle and said, “motociclo.”
Once again, he repeated what you said, “Motociclo.” That one he, not surprisingly, nailed on the first try.
You weren’t sure if you should continue, so you were silent for a few seconds, and Juice looked at you puzzled. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, I- I just, ah never mind, it’s stupid.”
“You can tell me!” His words seemed genuine, so you decided to let him know what you were thinking. “I just feel like this is maybe a little annoying. We can talk about something else if you want to! I don’t want to waste your time.”
As that smile slowly grew on his face once again, you got the feeling that what you were thinking had been completely wrong. Maybe he really was enjoying this; talking to you, learning your native language. “Oh hell no, are you kidding? This is great!”
His response surprised you, and a shy grin found a home on your face.
“Really?”
He paused, gazing at you with a caring and honest look in his eyes. “Yes, really.” The grin on your face turned into a full smile as you looked at your hands and your face flushed slightly. “Besides, I wouldn’t mind wasting my time on you.”
Your eyes slowly found their way to his, and you nodded your head slowly. “I’m enjoying myself, too. I wasn’t sure what to expect today, but you’re really good company.”
You could tell that your words were welcome to him. Truth be told, not a lot of people enjoyed his company, unless they needed something from him. So hearing someone admit that they enjoyed spending time with him was something he wasn’t going to let go of easily.
The two of you sat and talked for another couple hours, about anything and everything; truly enjoying spending time together.
You knew there was a reason you had waited to find a job in Santa Maria. You kept telling yourself it was because you wanted to find your footing first, make sure that this was really a smart movie, but now you knew what the actual reason was. Unbeknownst to you, and as much as you enjoyed the couple months you spent living there, it wasn’t where you were supposed to end up. Maybe Charming is where you were meant to be.

Time for @whumptober2020 day 7!
The theme for number 7 is “I’ve Got You,” and the specific prompts are support/carrying, this time!
So I, er...wrote fanfic...for the fictional characters...that Colby and Jason are playing in the next John Kill movie...from the bonus stories I wrote for my own published Character Bleed trilogy... *laughs*
Imagine Jason and Colby in character as John and Cam, for this one. Also I’m not sure I’m really good at spy-action-thrillers, but hey, why not try. :-)
 #
They’re on the run in Venice, on the run with each other, global supervillain organization hot on their trail, separated from the rest of the team but planning a rendezvous; John turns from a window, paces, restless. He’s never liked waiting. An itch builds under his skin.
“Sharpen a knife or something,” Cam says without looking up. His head’s bent over his laptop; his hair’s standing up in ridiculous dark waves, drying from the safehouse’s tiny shower. It makes him look younger, softer, more innocent. John’s seen him take out six henchmen with elegant grace, and coax an enemy vault to self-destruct with a single line of code, and crack supposedly unbeatable code in under two minutes. All within the last two days, in fact.
Cam adds, “You’re making me nervous,” and pokes something on the laptop. He’s trying to find chatter about the missing superweapon. Sales. An auction. A gathering of certain important names.
“You’re not nervous.” John circles around to him. “Unless you are. Should I be worried?”
Cam looks up. Their eyes meet.
Everything they are and aren’t hangs on a knife’s point in the middle of a run-down once-lavish hotel. Salt and water scent the air. The edge of a bruise is visible on Cam’s arm, beneath a shoved-up shirtsleeve.
Cam’s saved him once and pretended to betray him once. That plan had worked.
Cam’s beautiful and brilliant and worth every drop of his reputation. That’s all true. His reputation had also mentioned that he was young and amoral and charming. He’d been friends, in the way of the underworld of spies and quasi-official secret agents and hacker networks, with Brent. And Brent had died saving them all, months ago—had left them a name, a contact, and had sworn they could trust him, this young man with a drop of water sliding down beside his left eyebrow and the fate of the world currently depending on his fingertips…
There’s also the fact that they’ve had sex. Twice now. Enthusiastically. Explosively, to borrow a description.
John shifts weight, not off balance because he isn’t but needing to move. The air crackles.
“That depends.” Cam’s fingers don’t move, calm over the keys. “How much do you trust me?”
 “I trust Brent.”
The flicker in blue eyes says Cam’s heard the present tense. “That’s not an answer about me.”
 “Isn’t it?”
“You trust me enough to bring me to Moscow and let me turn you in and then rescue you,” Cam says. “You trust me enough to fuck me. Twice. But not enough to tell me so.”
It’d been heart-pounding, pulse-thumping, wild and glorious. It’d been exhilarated and exhilarating, the first time: an escape from enemy organization clutches, a plan gone right, giddy laughter and triumph and adrenaline streaking through their veins like scotch and silver. They’d made it out and made it to safety and caught each other’s gazes, and John had pushed him up against a bunker door and kissed him, hard and fierce, hands going to Cam’s pants.
The second time had been here, this safehouse, this morning. They’d fallen asleep the night before, exhausted; they’d woken, and shifted to look at each other. John had touched the bruise on Cam’s arm, earned while getting him out; Cam had smiled and reached up and pulled him close.
They hadn’t talked much, either time.
“I don’t not trust you,” he says. “It’s just that trusting someone…you earn that.” Other specters rise and hover: old treachery, former lovers, dead and living, here and gone. He’d had a fiancée once. The rest of the team knows not to mention Victoria’s name.
“I know. And I know what you’ve heard about me. That I never used to care who I worked for. That I did…what I did, and who, in Paris.” Cam’s voice stays even, though his chin lifts slightly. “I know you know all that.”
“I’ve heard about it. I also know Brent told us to find you.” He says it again: “And I trust Brent. He thought you’d end up on the right side.”
“That sounds like him. Having faith in people.” Cam runs both hands through his hair, sending a few last water-drops flying. “Not like us. If—hang on.”
 “What?”
“Stop leaning over me, your shoulder’s in my way. —Ah. Well. Not good.”
 “What’s not good?”
“Someone knows about this place.” Cam’s eyes meet his, calm but aware of the situation. “Two minutes.”
“Then we’re moving.” Up, grabbing guns, grabbing their stash of money and passports. “We’ll go out the back—if we get split up, head for the third location on the list—”
“I’m not leaving you.” Stubborn, this time. “He told me you’d need help. You need me.”
“Cam—” What? I don’t need you, I do need you, you’ve saved us all half a dozen times already and I barely know you but I know the way you look when you come, as if all those edges end up surprised by pleasure? I want to know you? I want to trust you?
If Cam really did plan to betray him in truth, those blue eyes would say the same thing, about not wanting to leave him. John knows that.
He says, “I’m not planning for us to get split up. Just in case. The third, got it?”
“Yes.” Cam gets up, yanks on his boots—he’d been barefoot, out of the shower, and something twists in John’s chest for a second—and dives for the laptop. “But—”
A crack splits the afternoon in two. A bullet. Gunfire.
They both drop behind the sofa. More bullets sear the air.
 “Two minutes?”
“They’re faster than I thought! They must’ve had someone already here—”
“Never mind. I’ll cover you. Get to the door.”
 “About that…might be a problem…”
John starts to demand why; the question dies on his lips. Cam moves a hand, shaky. Blood on his fingers. Across his stomach. Over a hip.
John Kill, veteran of a hundred impossible missions, doesn’t have an answer. Every one of his unspoken words screams in silence, in that second.
His hands, though, are practiced. They move. Pressure over the wound. Torn fabric. Cam’s face is pale, but he manages, “I’ll live. I think. If we get out of here and do something about it.”
He’s not wrong. It’s bad but not immediately fatal. Not good, but the placement could’ve been worse.
“You’ll be fine. We’ll get you out of here, okay?”
Cam manages a grin. “Not without you, I said. You need me. Or at least my laptop.”
“Wouldn’t be nearly as much fun with your laptop and not you. Can you still aim?”
“Probably. From the angle and the speed…their shooter should be close enough. I can handle that.” Cam fishes out a throwing knife. “On three?”
“On three.” He slides an arm under Cam’s body, preparing. Cam’s not really heavy: nicely muscled, but slender. Easy enough to support. He hopes Cam can stand up.
Cam’s blood’s very red against the dark blue of his shirt. His hair’s still damp, as incongruous as a reminder of what they’d been doing to require a shower. He tips his head against John’s shoulder, breathing faster.
 “Cam?”
“Here. Sorry. Kind of hurting a lot. Just got shot, you know.”
“Oh, did you…so you weren’t just trying to get me to carry you around…” Ready. Both of them. A count.
And motion: abrupt, whirling, himself scooping Cam off the floor—running for the door, knowing the gun will be firing—knowing the fire will indicate a position—
Cam’s hand moves. Silver snaps outward. It’s a small knife, made for this. And the shooter’s nearby. And Cam, as always, has exquisitely calculated aim.
Silence lands like a body falling, like bullets dropping. Cam’s quiet also, too quiet, hand falling. He’s falling too: sagging into John’s arms.
 “Cam—”
“Still…here…ow, though…hey, that was…a fucking awesome throw…tell me you saw that.”
“Yeah, you’re saving our asses again. Come on, I’ve got you, you’re okay.” He’s carrying Cam now, cradled in both arms. Running.
“I’m fine…for a given value of fine…I want my knife back. I like that knife. Oh, ow, stairs.”
“I’ll get you a new set. Something shiny and expensive.”
“Oh, promises…best way to a man’s heart…” Cam’s actually pulling out a mobile phone, one of his many mysterious modified collection; he’s checking something, panting, coughing. He’s still got the laptop, because it’d been in his shoulder bag along with another knife or two. “Okay, good, that tracker’s still running…hey, do you know anything about someone named Celia Bloom, because that name keeps—”
“Her name’s Elizabeth, or it used to be, and she works for La Fantomina.” Eliza. Fuck. And Cam’s still trying to work, trying to protect the mission—bleeding and unable to stand and trying to help, because John doesn’t trust him and he needs to prove himself—
But. But John does need him, needs to trust him, needs to make sure he’s safe and alive and still here—
He keeps Cam cradled against his chest. More stairs. He’s in good shape. He can do this. He can get them out of this. He can get them to the next safehouse, and call in a favor, use any debt he’s owed, beg someone to come and look at Cam and make the bleeding stop.
He can’t lose Cam. He just—he can’t. Not another person, and not now, not Cam, not when they’re—if they’re—whatever they are, whatever they might be, dangerous and tantalizing as every possibility is. He can’t lose this. He won’t.
He feels each breath in his lungs, feels Cam’s weight in his arms, Cam’s head leaning more heavily on his shoulder. Three flights of stairs to go. He scrapes out, “Stay awake. Talk to me.”
It’s not about the mission, or Eliza, or any of that. That’s a problem for the future. He’s saving Cam right now.
“I’m awake.” Clearly true, but Cam’s voice sounds weaker. “Looks like Celia…Elizabeth…doesn’t like you. I mean…like…personally.”
 “Not a surprise.”
“You want to…tell me that story…sometime?”
 “Maybe later. It’s not pretty.”
 “I don’t mind…not pretty…and, hey…I like you.”
“Delirious. Blood loss. We’re almost there. Private dock right out this door. How do you feel about stealing a boat?”
“It’s not my first choice of…getaway vehicle…but we’re in Venice, so…it’ll do. Nice and romantic.”
“Now you’re just saying words.” Down the stairs, getting breath back. Cam’s blood’s soaked across them both. John’s own shirt’s sticky with it.
Somewhere close, he thinks. A friend. Henry, maybe, who’s retired and will complain but will help—that should be reachable, once they get out of here—close enough—
He says, “I’ve got you, you just hang on, okay?” and kicks the door open, Cam in his arms.

Witches Forest Part 3
Requested: Yes
Summary: While lost you run into some untrustworthy people, will Colby be able to save you in time?
Masterlist
Part 1 Part 2
Warnings: Attempted rape near the end.
Your Pov:
It felt like I have been walking around in the dark for hours. Which was probably true, although I would really know. But hey, one good thing did come out of it, I have light again. After my lamp died I remembered that I had my phone in my pocket and it has a flashlight on it. So, I’ve just been using that, although it doesn’t really do much, it’s still better than nothing. It still didn’t help with the fact that I had no clue where I was. I tried to just backtrack but it was very hard to do with minimal light. God, I hope the boys find me soon. Or I at least find somewhere where my phone has service so I can call Colby, since back at the campsite we had service. Don’t ask me how that works, I have no clue. While wandering through the dark forest I was thinking of ways that I could get the boys attention and make finding me a little easier for them. My first thought was to scream but I really didn’t feel like ruining my voice. The second idea was to somehow make my flashlight brighter but I had no clue on how to do that so it looks like screaming would be the only practical option. I was just about to scream out to the boys but stopped. A branch had snapped about ten feet in front of me.
“Hello?” God, I hope it was just an animal.
“Hello?” I called out again. “Is anyone there?”
Nothing. Maybe it was just a squirrel or something. Or it could have been my imagination. Which I hoped it was. But of course hope wasn’t on my side tonight because all of a sudden a silhouette appeared about a few feet away from me, exactly where I had heard the branch snap.
“Sam?” I asked hoping it was one of them just messing with me. Colby?”
No response. I quickly shined the dim light over in their direction and my breath was caught in my throat. Standing in front of me was a person, couldn’t tell if it was male or female, and they were covered in all black. They even had a black ski mask to match.
“What the fuck?” I mumbled as I looked them over.
When my eyes accidentally caught there’s they smirked.
“Who are you?” I asked with a shaky voice.
Please be nice.
“I’m your worst nightmare, sweetheart.”
As soon as the words left his lips I turned around and bolted the other way.

Colby’s Pov:
The more we walked the more anxious I got. Sam and I have been walking around for a good hour now and there was still no sign of her. God, I hope she’s okay.
“Dude, what are we gonna do if we can’t find her? What I am gonna do?” I asked Sam while shining my flashing down the foggy path.
Sam just let out a loud sigh.
“You can’t think like that okay? We will find her.” His voice was dripping in determination.
I nodded my head in response.
“How far do you think she could have gotten?”
I shrugged in response. I didn’t really feel like talking.
“She couldn’t have gotten too far right?”
I shrugged again.
“I don’t know dude okay? Let’s just keep walking.” I growled at him.
How was I supposed to know the answers? I was just as clueless as he was. After that Sam was silent for the rest of the way. It was good though, gave me time to think. It gave me time to think about how much I missed Y/N. God, I would do anything right now to know she’s okay. I swear if she’s not okay, I’m gonna lose it. She keeps me sane. She keeps me happy. She keeps me, me.
“Do you think she’s okay right now?” I asked Sam, my voice gentle this time.
Sam pursed his lips together in thought.
“I would hope so.” He responded while turning his head over to look at me. “She’s probably just scared though, I mean who wouldn’t-” Sam’s sentence was drowned out by a blood curling scream that sent shivers up my spine.
It wasn’t just any scream though, it was a girls scream.
“Sam, you don’t think that’s her right?” I asked him once the screaming stopped.
“Who else would it be? It only makes sense that it was her.”
At his response I slammed the backpack down onto the forest floor.
“Damn it!” I yelled. “How in the fuck are we even suppose to find her now? We have no clue where that came from! It could have come from any direction.”
Sam held his hands out in front of him in defense.
“Just calm down okay? You freaking out isn’t gonna do us any good.”
I rolled my eyes at him. Staying calm wasn’t gonna do us any good either. My girlfriend was out there, and she could be in danger and what I am doing? Nothing. I’m doing absolutely nothing. I was just about to voice these thoughts to Sam when another blood curdling scream filled the air. Only this time, it was my name, and it sounded very close.
“Colby!”
“Help me!”
“Please!”
“Get off of me!”
“Colbyyyyyy!”
***
Your Pov:
Once the man covered in black started to chase me, I ran like I’ve never ran before. My hair was soaring through the wind along with the sweatshirt that I was wearing. My flashlight was almost like a strobe light at this point. It was going in every direction. But all that didn’t matter. All that mattered was that I get away from this creepy man as soon as I can. I had to try and lose him in the forest. I figured the best way to do that was to turn off my light and try and hide but as I was trying to turn off the flashlight on my phone I tripped on a tree root that stuck out of the ground.
“Fuck.” I muttered under my breath once I had made contact with the dirt covered floor.
I was just about to get back up and continue running when a weight was placed on top of me which sent my body slamming into the ground once again.
“Get off of me!” I screamed at my attacker while trying to roll over.
They said nothing and started to try and pin my hands above my head.
“No! Get off me!” I repeated while wiggling my body around trying to throw the attacker off. “What do you want from me? Leave me alone!”
The more I fought back the stronger the person seemed to get. Which also meant that I had started to grow tired.
“Colby!” I yelled. My voice breaking at every syllable. “Please stop.”
At this point I had given up. Lost all hope. My attacker took full advantage of this and pinned both of my hands above my head. Once he had them in position he just stared at me. I took this moment to spit in his face. As soon as my DNA hit his eyes he pulled back his left hand and backhanded me across the face.
“You little bitch.” He growled while bringing his hand back up and wiping the spit out of his dark eyes. “Your gonna pay for that.”
His hand started to roam my body. Up and down it went, tugging on the waistband of my black jeans, trying to get them off. And I just let him because what was the point? Colby wasn’t gonna find me and if he did he would probably be too late. I would probably be already dead.
“You think you and your little friends can just come up and camp in our woods sweetheart?” He whispered into my ear as his lips grazed the bottom of my ear lobe. “Think again, just wait until your boyfriend finds you all battered and bruised. He’s not gonna want you anymore. Nobody will want you anymore after I'm finished with you.”
At the mention of Colby I let out a soft whimper. I missed him so much.
“Please.” I whispered. “Just let me go. I’ll give you money if that’s what you want.”
Tears poured down my face.
He just chuckled at my response.
“I don’t want money doll. I want you, and I’ll do whatever it takes to have you.”
He hand fiddled with the silver button of my jeans. He was just about to break it open when a voice stopped him.
“Get the hell off of her.”
My eyes sprung open.
“Colby?” I whispered in disbelief.
Seeing him opened up a new fight inside of me. It gave me the energy that I was so desperately looking for.
“Get the fuck off of me!” I shouted while starting to wiggle around in the man's grasp.
Upon seeing my struggle Colby sprang into action and ran full speed into the man knocking him off of me and onto the ground. Once free I scooted away as far as I could until my back hit something hard. I gasped and brought my hands up to my face in defense in case it was another person.
“Don’t hurt me, please.”
“Y/N? It’s me, Sam.”
Oh my gosh, Sam! How could I have forgotten about him?
“Sam?” I asked while bringing my hands down and placing them by my side.
He crouched down and pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
“God.” He mumbled under his breath. “Thank god you're okay.”
Once we pulled away I let out a sigh of relief.
“How did you even find-” My question was cut off by Colby’s hate filled voice.
“Don’t you ever put your hands on my fucking girlfriend again or I will murder you.”
My eyes grew wide. I had never seen Colby this angry before. Sure, I’ve seen him mad but not this mad. He looked ready to kill. And I truly believe he would if I didn’t step in sooner or later.
“Colby.” I stated while turning my body around so I was facing him. “It’s over. Just please get off him and give me a hug.”
At the sound of my voice he immediately snapped out of the rage that he was in. He lifted his head up and as soon as his eyes met mine they softened.
“Baby.” He rasped out. “I’m so sorry.”
I just nodded and opened my arms up requesting a hug that I needed. Upon seeing my request he stood up from the unconscious body and made his way towards me. Once he reached me he immediately pulled me into his arms.
“I missed you so much.” I sobbed as I buried my head in his shoulder. “I love you.”
His ring covered hands rubbed circles on my back.
“I love you too baby.”
God, I couldn’t believe I was in his arms. It felt so good to be home. To be safe. I was never leaving them again. Not in a million years.

_______________________________________________
Tuanul. A rural settlement in Jakku. You were born there on Jakku to two loving parents, and your younger twin brothers. You were always aware that not many people had the chance to have their families not just here in Jakku but also throughout the galaxy. Your village meant everything to you, even if you could sense the energy stirring among the people, especially in your family. It was just another Sunday morning. You wake up to your little brothers jumping on top of you like they do every morning. You happened to be lucky they woke you up when they did because you were having a nightmare. Again. The same one you always have.
It always starts with you in the dark. All you see is grey and black all around you. You can clearly see that you are in some sort of room. Its square, with two doors across the room from one another. There’s a bed fit for one person, next to that there is a nightstand. There is also a fake green plant and a desk in the room. This is strange to you. You have never seen this place in your life. Yet you feel comfortable here like you belong. Then all of the sudden you start to feel weird energy not only in you’re body but pulsing in the room around you. Then you hear heavy footsteps on the grey tile floor. But there is nothing from inside of the rood making that noise, you soon hear a knock on one of the doors, and it begins to open.
But as soon as it the figure appears by the door, it’s gone and you’re awake.
You sit up in your cot and tickle your brothers Mikey and Colby in a surprise attack. Their laughs always make you feel full, better as if nothing else in the galaxy could ever make you happier than the two boys that are right in front of you. You grab your thin blanket and wrap the two up in a ball and continue to tickle them.
“Heyy!! That tickles (Y/N) stop it,” Mikey cackled. As you tickle him.
“Mikey! That’s what tickles are for, to tickle you silly!” Colby giggled jumping on the bed excitingly.
“Oh don’t you think our free from the tickle monster little squirt,” you say to Colby as you get ready for another jump attack.
But you are cut off by your mother who was walking in to get the boys ready for the day. “Now what do you think you little monsters are doing?” she asks.
“(y/n) was playing tickle monster with us, mommy! Do you wanna join too?” Mikey squealed.
“Oh you boys know I would love to, but, we gotta get ready for the day ok. Maybe if you ask your sister she will play with you boys after gathering,” Your mom suggested to the boys. Who got overly excited and tackled you to the ground begging you to play with them after you got done gathering.
Of course, you agreed “Sounds like a plan to me,” you said hugging them both.
“Promise?” Mikey asked you sticking out his pinky. “I promise,” you assured him and pinky swore on it.
Your mother then called the three of you telling you to get ready for the day. But of course, you are already ready. You then slip on your boots that protect your feet from the sandy environment. You always wear the same outfit. Well, it is actually your only outfit you have. But you don’t mind you like it, and it’s not like you’re going anywhere anytime soon and need to get it cleaned. Not that you ever really do, its a matter of time and effort that you could be used for gathering for rations.
You are aware that your family needs the rations but its not something you really like to do. Spending hours and hours in the sandy deserts, with the winds and overly annoying traders. Let’s just say its not your favorite thing to be doing.
You step outside where the rest of your family is. You see your mom getting your brothers all tidied up for the day. So you go over to her and help get the boys in their boots and being picky about their hair.
“Thank you dear,” Your mother says with a big smile on her face.
“You know, I can’t help but to always look at you in awe (y/n),” Your father says to you as you finish getting the boys ready.
“What makes you say that?” you ask.
“ Well, its a matter of everything you have done for the family. You are always helping to get rations. And helping with your brothers all the time. Even though you could easily leave us to fend for ourselves. You are an adult. But you stay,” He announces.
Although you know he always means well with everything he says, this takes you back. You know what you need and don’t need to be doing. You have always stepped up and done well to help the family ever since your brothers were born. You just see it as help when one may need it most. Its the role you love to play in your family. Its something you actually enjoy doing. And you do it because your family means the world to you and you don’t know what you would do without them.
“ In my defense, I believe everyone plays a role in a family and my role is and always will be to help gather for family and protect,” You say with the utmost confidence.
“Oh, you sound just like your father dear,” Your mother finally says.
You can’t deny you are like your father in many ways. You even look like him more than the boys. He has taught you many things that you never thought you would ever need. Most things he taught you you still haven’t needed. Like the blaster your dad has. He taught you how to use the thing when you were 9 years old. Which will be something you will never forget.
This is what you think about as you bid your parents farewell till later in the day when you all gather and compile your scavenges for rations.
You are on your way to your favorite area to find your trades. This is where you spend your day. It’s a sand dune littered with all kinds of things that came from who knows where.
After you have a fairly large pine of random things in your bag you start to walk home. You are almost to the entryway to the village when you hear a sound. It’s just one sound, but you could not tell where it was coming from or what it was so you continue to walk with caution, examining all around you. But then you hear it again and the noise is getting louder. You start running and look around to see TIE fighters everywhere. They are attacking your village.
Of course, your first instinct is to run from the village and get as far away as possible. You start to panic more. You then start to run back to your village as fast as possible. Your running, tripping over the sand as you go.
You get to the village and see stormtroopers everywhere invading everything, shooting civilians, and catching fire to almost all your surroundings. You stop to hide behind a pile of trash. But then you think of your family and of Mikey and Colby and go into a panic. What if they get hurt? You start to panic more. You somehow make it to your family’s hut, where you see them huddled in the back.
You fall next to your family and grab your brothers and hold them with everything you have. As your parents both hold all of you in a family huddle. You don’t want to let them go. You can’t even begin to imagine what could possibly happen to them. Nor do you want to think of it.
Soon the troopers invade your house. And pull your family outside. You hear your mother pleading to the troopers.
“Please,” she cries, “not my babies, leave them alone, please,”
You see your brothers crying, with your mom. Then you catch sight of your dad. Who looks at you and looks at the trooper closest to you, motioning to take the blaster. You understand immediately and start fighting, screaming profanities, calling for your family. You get out of one of the trooper’s grasp and are able to grab the blaster as you try to remember what your dad taught you about using it.
Suddenly you see you. A younger more innocent you. And next to you, you see your father. He is teaching you how to use the blaster for the first time.
“Ok remember, you have to be careful and hold it with two hands;” He explained to young you.
“ Ok, I got it right daddy?” you asked in confusion. After all, you had no clue how to use the thing.
“Yes good job sweety!” he boasted. You were doing it.
Remembering what your father had taught you; you raise the gun and shoot three troupers that are holding your family. Your family falls from their grip and you start to run to them. For a slight second, you feel the triumph. You feel like you will be able to run and make it out of there with your family. But that feeling didn’t last, as you feel hands pulling you away all hope slips away with you. You fight with all of your might to be let go. You don’t succeed. Then you hear the screams of your family and the sound of the blasters going off. The blaster went off four times. You turn to see your family fall to the ground.
You scream, you kick and scream with all our might. Ignoring everything being done to you. All you want is your family. Its all you ever wanted. To protect them, be there whenever they needed you. You feel like you failed, you feel like you let them down. You feel the tears running down your face as you remember what you promised your brothers. You feel ashamed like you should have never left the hut. You feel like you should have just stayed with them. You broke your promise. If only you had gotten more time. Maybe then you would have been able to protect them.
Soon you feel your screams stop. You could feel your throat constricting being able to breathe was becoming difficult. Your body began to lift from the floor, your hands clawed at the invisible noose wrapped around your neck— All you felt was pain intense pain. It felt as though your lungs were burning, your heartbeat sounded like drums in your ears as your face grew darker and darker as your veins popped out on your forehead. You were struggling. For air, for life. Then your body was slowly turning and you were face to face with him.
His face holds simply no emotion. Emptiness.
The Supreme Leader. You stare into his deep onyx eyes, those eyes that you swear you know you have seen before. Yet you can’t place it. You stare in fear, no not fear in pain. Pleading in your head for him to let you be, to let you go. You continue to stare, at that moment you realize that you do see something in those beautiful eyes. Pain.
All of a sudden you are dropped to the ground. You panic trying to catch your breath and get rid of the burning feeling deep in your lungs.
“Execute the villagers and bring her on the ship at once,” He demanded. Pointing at you.
He then walks back on the ship.
The troopers obliged to their master’s orders. You are harshly taken off of the ground by stormtroopers and carried on the ship. You are confused, you don’t want to go. Just as you reach the ship your world seemed to be spinning, spinning until you say a steel ceiling, then all went black.
 ___
You wake up in what seems to be an interrogation room and you were strapped into what seemed to be a large metal interrogation chair. You begin to panic. Where am I? You think to yourself. You try to lift your hands up but couldn’t due to the restraints. Why am I here? What did I do?
You hear a metal door open and automatically freeze in. At first, you think it is the Supreme Leader coming to interrogate you. But no, in fact, it is a tall red-haired man. He is not in any particular uniform so it is hard for you to tell where he stands in the hierarchy with the leader. He walks and places himself right in front of you. Watching you the entire time he is moving. Once he has found his place he stops and stares at you. You both stand and stare at one another for what felt like forever. Then finally,
“Do you know who I am?” He asks you.You don’t answer him. You know you have never met this man in your life. You don’t care who he is. You just don’t want to be here and that’s all you could think about.
“I believe we have not met yet, I am General Hux of the First Order,” he states. He is waiting for your answer. He begins to pace the floor in front of you. Staring at you, he exhales a sigh.
“You don’t talk much do you?”
You just stare at him. You can tell he is getting mad. Then all of a sudden,
“What did you do to make the leader mad?” he demanded. Getting close to your face. You could feel the spit hitting your face. Disgusting.
“I don’t know,” you say. You don’t, and there’s nothing that you could have thought of besides the fact that you did shoot 3 of his men. You look down at your feet with a slight grin on your face.
“What’s so funny?” he scoffed, “Why is he mad? What did you do?”, he added in a fit of childish anger.
“I-” you were cut off by the sound of the metal door opening behind you. Once again you freeze. You feel a weird energy pulsing through your body, and in the room around you. Then you hear loud footsteps against the tile floor. You have heard this sound before, but you cant think of where or when.
You look up to see General Hux’s face go completely pale. Then out of the corner of your eyes, you see the black figure of the Supreme Leader.
“ What are you doing in here General?” He snarled at The General.
“I….um...I was just simply prepping her for your interrogation, Supreme Leader sir,” Hux stammered.
“Leave Hux,” The Supreme Leader demanded.
You see Hux practically stumble out of the room tripping over his own feet. You let out a small giggle, and automatically regret it, so you stare down at the floor. You stare at the floor in silence for a minute. Then you feel leather gloved hands grab your chin lifting your face so that he could look into your eyes with his own beautiful onyx ones. He stares down at you for a long time. He is studying your face, trying to understand you, and how you feel. You can’t help but notice how surreal this whole situation is. You stare into his eyes wondering what he wants. But he simply says,
“Wow”
------- It would be great if I could get some feedback on things I did well on and things I could add in the future, or improve on. Any feedback would be helpful. I hope you enjoyed it. Watch out for part 2.  and feel free to message me if youd like to be tagged in the next one. Thank you for reading!!

Brothers Best Friend - c.b
Request: being brennen's sister and he's always teasing you, like saying that you have a crush on Colby while he's vlogging and while Colby's over and things like that, kinda like he did with Jessica in his video where he and Colby re-create their vines, and maybe one day Colby talks to you about that, or you can make the end as you think goes better with the story you come up with
Pairing: Colby Brock x Reader
Masterlist
— — — —
You had been sitting on the couch on your phone when you saw a tweet Colby had posted talking about how he was now a fifth wheel and because you had your notifications on for him you had immediately seen it. The laughter came out in a short burst and Brennen being the nosy bitch he is, was sitting near you leaned over quickly to see what you were laughing at.
“Ooh.. y/n and Colby sitting in a tree. K. I. S. S. Ing” He sang to you.
“Shut up moron, you’re more in love with him than I am” You retort quickly, hoping he would shut up about it.
“But even if im more in love with him that still means you’re in love with him, see that guys.” He speaks to the camera now “y/n just admitted she’s in love with Colby” You roll your eyes in annoyance, continuing to look at your phone before you speak again.
“You know damn well I didnt mean it like that” You say as you push him with your foot. “You’re a friggen idiot, now get your ugly bitchass out my face” He just laughs at you and points the camera your way to annoy you further. Once he is over annoying you he walks off to his room probably to go and tell Colby what he has just said and even though you could hear him gossiping about you to Colby you didn’t care very much because you knew how Colby felt towards you.
To him you were his best friends little sister, you knew him and his moral stand point. He would never try and go after his best friends sister.
“Y/N!” You heard Brennen call from another room in the house, “Y/N!” He continued, waiting for you to answer so he knew where you were in the house.
“What Brennen, geez” You reply, grunting as you get off the couch annoyed that he would even make you get up.
“Oh nothing, I just wanted you to know your boyfriend is coming over” You look at him like he has lost his mind.
“I don’t have a boyfriend and you know it, I’m literally always complaining about it” You tried to remind him just how single you were but all you got was an eyeroll in return.
“You know I’m talking about Colby”
“Oh, you meant your boyfriend” You laughed at him and walked away into your room hoping you wouldn’t actually have to see Colby when he arrived.
But not long after you heard the front door open and close with a loud bang and you knew it was Colby, he was never subtle or quiet when he came over. Wanting everyone to know that he is there.
“Honey I’m home” Colby yelled through the house.
“In the kitchen sweetie” You heard your older brother yell back in response, you laughed from your room. Colby had heard your giggle and made a b-line to your room.
“Hey y/n, didn’t realise you were going to be here.”
“Mhm, sure” You rolled your eyes at him and continue to look at the device in your hand “where else would I be Cole?” You replied as sarcastic as you could without coming off as a bitch.
You knew that he knew you were going to be home today because you had heard Brennen tell him over the phone, you were guessing that he looked this good because they were going to be filming a video but the thought of him dressing up for you had crossed your mind. You walk up to the door and lean on the door frame with a smile.
“Love the hair, Brock” you tell him as you run your hand through it and mess it up before pushing his head back to move him out of the way so you could close your door and continue with what you had been previously doing.
You heard him walk into the kitchen and greet your brother with a hard slap on the back.
“Your sisters lookin hot today” You heard Colby chuckle after his comment right before Brennen’s reply.
“Ew, dont be fuckin gross dude. Thats my sister you perv.” Brennen reacted the exact way you would have expected him to but you had never expected for Colby to say something like that to your brother, knowing you were just a wall away.
— — —
You had decided to take a nap while the boys filmed their video so that you didnt disturb them and also because you could feel your body becoming sluggish due to lack of sleep you had been getting.
You had just woken up and checked your social media before you heard a knock at your door. You got up to see who it was and it was the beautiful blue eyed, blue haired boy you had been crushing on.
“Hey”
“Hi?” You asked curiously, just now rubbing the sleep from your eyes and letting out a soft yawn. You could see Colby smiling at you even through sleep coated eyes.
“I was wondering if you you wanted to go out to dinner?” He asked as he scratched his neck, a nervous habit you had grown fond of.
“Uh yeah sure! Where’s Brennen at?” You smiled at him and looked around him to see where your brother was.
“Ooh, uhm he is editing. I was hoping maybe it could just be the two of us?”
“Uhm yeah... sure” You were a little bit suspicious about his sudden request to go to dinner alone with you. “Let me get dressed and we can go?”
“Yeah, okay” He walked off in the direction that was Brennen’s room, you hoped that he already knew about this because you didnt want to be coming home to Brennen being a jerk towards you so you texted to see if he was fine with you going to dinner with Colby and he just responded with a thumbs up emoji. I mean, thats as good as its going to get right?
With the okay being sent through, you get dressed to go to dinner with Colby only taking a few minutes not wanting to put too much pressure on this. Whatever this was. You walk to Brennen’s room and inform Colby that you are ready to eat and he gets up and youse both say goodbye to Brennen, as you walk away you can see a smirk forming on your brothers face.
“Alright, where to?” Colby asks you as he holds the door open for you to walk through.
“Tendergreens, right?”
“You know my favourite restaurant?” He asks you with a smile, a red tinge creeping onto his cheeks.
“I know a lot more about you than I probably should, thanks to Brennen”
“Maybe Brennen has been trying to set us up this whole time” Colby says and youse both laugh but then realise that exactly what he has been trying to do, remembering how he reacted when you and Colby were leaving.
“I think thats exactly what he is doing to be honest” You reply before getting into Colby’s car and youse begin your journey to dinner, this is all you had been thinking about since the day you had met Colby. You never thought that the lame senarios you came up with would come to fruition.
“What a weirdo, trying to set up his little sister with his best friend” He jokes, and even though he was joking you were hoping this was going to be an actual date and not just another senarios to daydream about later. You knew that if you didn’t say anything you would be stuck in this weird limbo of ‘what are we’ so you gained as much courage as you could before speaking. You could feel your stomach in your throat before you began speaking, this could either work in your favour or be the worst moment of your life.
“I just wanted to say that even though Brennen is always teasing me for it and I always deny it... I do have a crush on you” You said the last part in a whisper, your voice losing its courage and turning into something pathetic. You didn’t want to see his reaction at all so you sat there staring at the window and even though you could see him smirking at you in the reflection of the window you still didn’t know how to feel about this whole situation. Your heart was racing in your chest and your palms were sweating like crazy.
“You have to know by now that I have a crush on you too” He laughed, another nervous tell of his. You hadnt realised that Colby had the car parked in front of the restaurant already. You didn’t know how to reply but you did know how you felt and the feelings were growing stronger by then second.
“Alright then, lets get some food. Im starving” You laugh at him and get out of the car, following closely behind Colby into the restaurant and taking your seat next to him.
Youse spoke for hours and ate the food, he let you steal from his meal a little bit and you let him take from yours. Youse had never been alone like this before and you didn’t want it to end, it was like a new found freedom that you didnt want to let go. You hoped that Colby felt the same way you did.
— — —
When Colby drops you off you skip straight to Brennen’s room to tell him everything that happened. Joy radiating off of you.
“Thanks for setting us up Brennen, we actually had a really good time” You sat down at the end of his bed.
“Well, Colby said it was terrible. So I don’t know who to believe.” He said to you as you had just finished gloating and your heart could have fallen out of your chest in this moment.
“Oh” Heartbreak was written all over your face and he could tell, there was a tear pricking the inner corner of your eye but you didn’t let it out.
“I was kidding, damn dude. Calm down.” He said and kicked you off his bed, a loud thud being heard from your ass hitting the floor at high speed.
“You’re a friggen asshole, you know” You tell him as you pick yourself up off the floor and walk away.
“He had a really good time, wont stop gushing about it. I’m probably gonna vomit its so gross” He showed you a few text messages he had recieved from Colby, there were plenty of heart eye emojis.
“Okay, I get it. But I shouldn’t be looking at these messages, its an envasion of privacy” You tell him as you leave the room, taking one last look at the phone before leaving.
She looked so gorgeous and she wasn’t even trying
The last text message you saw had read, you felt all giddy and you didn’t know what to do. But you knew you wanted to be around Colby all the time.

twitter: redhotbrock
It was crazy to believe that this was their last party in that house. That all the sleepless nights and all the insane memories would cease after tonight. It was even crazier to believe that after this, the group that was so tightly united would now be walking their different paths. Even as you stood there on the makeshift dance floor, dancing with a bright smile on your face, melancholy took over, as you recognized you would never again pull up to that driveway and walk through the beautiful doors that marked your favorite place in the world. It was sad, but it didn’t mean you would lose your friends. The simple fact was, they were your closest friends. You constantly hung out with the guys, so little was bound to change. You laughed, swaying sensually to the rhythm of the music blasting from the stereos you had set up earlier. You thought of your friends. How much you loved Jake and his constantly goofy personality. You would be lying if you said you didn’t instantly brighten up when you saw him. You thought of Aaron and his Fortnite addiction and you had to keep from laughing. You thought of Corey and Devyn and Katrina and Sam and you smiled, stopping for a minute. You loved them all so much, but there was one person you could never get out of your head. You looked around the room, and searched for his beautiful blue eyes. You found them talking to a couple girls in the corner of the room farthest from you. Your smile faltered slightly. Your relationship was... complicated. It was a no strings attached situation. You both had slept together innumerable times, but outside of that, your relationship with him was no different then the rest of the group. Just like friends. Like family... He wasn’t paying attention to you, so you looked away, and focused back on your dancing. Someone tapped your shoulder. You turned around, your gaze connecting with a rather attractive individual.
“Hey beautiful, is there any chance I could get you to dance with me?” He spoke, his voice deep and raspy, bringing chills down your back.
“Y-Yes. Yes of course.” You responded, taking his hand as he led you to an emptier part of the floor. You smiled, completely unaware of the eyes staring at you from across the space.
“I’ve never been to any of these places before, wow! It must be interesting to go and explore your surroundings.” One of the girls next to Colby rambled on, trying her best to keep his attention. The other girl next to her nodded, adding her own two cents to the conversation, but it was futile. He was looking at her, dancing with another man. It irritated him, even though he was well aware that he wasn’t her boyfriend.
“Colby.” Sam spoke up, and for once he snapped out of it. The two girls looked at him, hushing up. Colby stopped staring at you and focused his attention on his best friend.
“Yeah?” Colby responded, his voice hinting at no emotion.
“I need your help.”
“With?”
“Laying out more cups.” There’s way more people than I actually thought there was gonna be.” Colby nodded, excusing himself from the chatty girls.
“I’ll be right back.” He stated, and followed after Sam for the kitchen. Sam and him worked on setting up the cups, seeing as more and more people were arriving. The party was massive, more than any of the guys anticipated.
“Yo, dude. Look at Y/N go.” Jake walked in, red solo cup in hand. Sam nodded, laughing.
“Looks like if anyone is having fun, it’s definitely her.”
“She can definitely beat Corey at his own game. The girls a natural. Look how she’s moving.”
“She looks beautiful.” Colby agreed, biting his lips as his eyes found her, her bright smile visible even from far away.
“She seems to also have an admirer.” Sam noted, looking from Colby to the floor, watching as their best friend was dancing with a mystery man, his hands squeezing her hips as they danced. Colby felt irritation push up in his stomach.
“Who even is he?” Colby asked, a slight edge to his tone. Both of them shrugged.
“Don’t know. I’ve never met him before.” Jake noted.
“Half of these people seem to be arriving from out of nowhere.” Sam nodded, and Colby put his last cup down.
“I’m going to go investigate. I’ll meet up with you guys in a little while.” Colby stated, and left the kitchen before they could respond. He made his way towards them, before he was interrupted by the same two girls he had been talking to previously.
“Hey Colby, I was hoping you wouldn’t mind taking a picture with us?”
“Yeah, sure, just give me a minute-“
“Ok! It’s been such an honor getting to talk to you, you’re really cool.” The girl droned on, and once he looked up again to the dance floor, you and your mystery beau where nowhere to be seen. Dread filled his head as he thought of what could be happening.
“Y-Yeah.” He replied, taking the picture as fast as humanly possible before darting to go find you. The girls were mildly disappointed that he wasn’t paying attention. But all he could think of was you. You and that beautiful red dress you wore that hugged you in all the right places, you and another guy... alone.
“Me? I don’t do YouTube. I’m studying at college. It’s fun to be around them when they film though.” You laughed, sitting at the top of the stairs. The guy (Matthew was his name. ) stood towering over you, his eyes glued to yours.
“They all seem like cool dudes. “
“Yeah. I’m really lucky to have them.” You beamed, proud of them and the careers they’ve built for themselves.” He grinned, looking down at your lips, kicking his.
“If anything, they are lucky to have a girl like you. You’re breathtaking.” He stated, and you blushed, noticing as he leaned down and closer to you. You weren’t sure what to do. Did you kiss him? Did you not? He was mere millimeters away from your lips as he was pulled away, and your eyes widened in shock.
“Beat it. She’s mine.” Colby demanded, his voice tense. Matthew protested, but Colby stayed put, his blue eyes staring coldly at him.
“See you later, Y/N...” He waved, and walked away. Grumbling as he made his way down the stairs. Your eyes followed him, your hands subconsciously playing with the hem of your dress, chewing on the inside of your cheek.
“Bye...” you mumbled, looking down.
“Can I talk to you?” Colby asked, his voice not losing his edge. You were so confused. You had done nothing wrong.
“Why?” You asked, your eyes not budging from their spot. His hand appeared on your wrist, squeezing gently.
“Please.” He said, his tone softening, his voice lowering. You obeyed, rising from your spot in the staircase. He led you up, into one of the rooms. His rooms. You bit your lip, all the memories from this room, coming back. “Who was he?” Colby asked, closing the door behind you.
“His name is Matthew. He’s a YouTuber too. Not as well known as you though.” You responded, not knowing wether to be scared that he could possibly be mad or to be embarrassed by all the thoughts running through your head.
“Do you like him?” He asked, getting closer to you, his eyes staring straight into your soul. You gulped.
“I-I just met him, Colbs, I-I don’t kn-“ you stopped as he put his hand on your waist, pulling you closer to where he was.
“You’re mine, Y/N. Only mine.” He responds, his hand sneaking down to your ass, squeezing it. You moaned a little, surprised as to what was happening, you looked up to him, your face red as his lips met yours. He kissed you and lingered, as he proceeded to trail his soft mouth down your neck. You pulled him back as far as possible, bumping against the wall. You whimpered slightly as he sucked on your skin, hitting your sensitive spot. Your hand snaked its way from his shirt to his hair, tugging on it gently, as he abused your neck. It was heaven for you. You closed your eyes, blushing as his mouth lowered and made more marks on you.
“Colby.” You called out to him, and he pulled away from your neck, looking down at it and smirking approvingly. You’re breathless, the heat of the situation stealing your breath away.
“You’re mine.” He stated again, and you nodded. But you didn’t know what he meant.
“What about ‘no strings attached. Like we discussed?”
“I don’t want that anymore. I want more.” He smiled, kissing your forehead. Your lashes fluttered, biting your lip.
“I want more too. With you.” You responded, and he kissed you, this time more gentle than before. You thanked Matthew in your head, though you felt bad for the way Colby treated him.
“Yo, Colby, why the fuck are you missing the part- Oh shit.” You heard Jake call out as he opened the door, and you couldn’t help but laugh. Colby couldn’t either.
“Yeah dude, I’ll be down in a minute.” He stated, pulling away. Jake looked to you, and then down to your neck. He smirked. You were definitely NEVER going to hear the end of it.
“Jesus, it’s like you’re a fucking vampire or something. Gross.” Jake pretended to be grossed out, gagging as he winked at you, causing you to giggle. “Later, dude.” He said goodbye, and closed the door. Colby finally pulling away from you.
“Coming downstairs?” He asked, holding out his hand. You took it, a huge smile spreading over your features, and his heart couldn’t help but swell at how beautiful you were.

Allergic Reaction
Back with another Colby x Reader Fic, because I really don’t want to do my homework. This one’s mostly about filming a video with Sam and Kat (and some cute Colby towards the end), because I feel like I’m leaving Sam out a lot- but it’s like weird writing x reader stuff about him because he has an actual girlfriend.
**Goodbye for now Sam and Colby 2.0, gonna miss these videos tbh. Paused my writing to watch the video :( Hope our boys are all good and get back to doing some (not horribly dangerous or demon contacting) videos.**

“What’s up guys!” Sam greeted his camera, hand flying over his head enthusiastically. “Today I’m here with my girlfriend Kat, and our friend Y/N, who also happens to be Colby’s girlfriend.” Sam explained to his camera. The three of you were sitting in Sam’s apartment, lined up on three dining chairs. Sam was in the middle, and you and Kat on either side.
“Hi,” Kat waved at the camera, grinning widely as she set her head on Sam’s shoulder.
“Heyo!” You exclaimed, throwing up a peace sign.
“So, today I’ve got a little something planned for these ladies,” Sam grinned at his camera, gesturing to the both of you, “something very, very fun- well, for me at least!”
“Sam!” Kat groaned jokingly, ending up laughing halfway through.
“Kat and Y/N have no idea what we’re filming,” Sam laughed, beaming apologetic looks towards the both of you.
“Kat just told me we were hanging out,” you pouted, glaring lightly at your friend.
“Sam didn’t tell me we were filming!” Kat defended herself with a laugh, raising her hands up in surrender.
“Yes, I didn’t tell either of them,” Sam told the camera with a smug look, “so, I’ll explain now. I’m going to blindfold them, and you both are going to be holding some creatures I have hidden in the bedroom. These are my friend David’s pets, he’s just in the bedroom with them. So, they won’t bite... probably,”
“...probably?” you whispered, shooting Sam an unsure gaze.
“Sam, I swear-” Kat warned, glaring wholeheartedly at her boyfriend.
“Okay! I’ll go get the blindfolds.”
You and Kat shared an unsure look as Sam disappeared into one of the rooms. Seconds later he appeared with two folded up bandanas.
“Dibs red!” you grinned, leaving Kat with the orange one. Sam tied each of the bandanas around your eyes.
“Okay, Y/N slide onto the middle chair since I won’t be sitting with you guys anymore until the end of the video,” You slid over slowly, almost falling off the chair- but regaining your balance and seating yourself firmly. You felt the movement at your side as Sam moved the empty chair out of the frame.
“So, I’m going to go see which animals we’re bringing out first. David has two of each animal, so you guys will be holding them at the same time, okay?” Sam explained to the both of you. By the way he sounded, he was crouched down in front of the both of you “you’re going at the same time since it’s kind of a competition, guess the critter first and you get a point!” Sam said loudly, talking to the two of you, as well as the camera set up a few feet ahead.
“Roger,” you nodded, vision darkened by the blindfold. Sam then patted your knee (and probably Kat’s as well) and stood, leaving the two of you in silence. Kat patted your leg and you took her hand.
You heard was beating fast, anxious to see what Sam had hidden up his sleeve.
“These better not bite us, Sam,” Kat whined quietly but loud enough that Sam heard from the next room (he laughed).
You weren’t too scared. This type of video could only mean one thing- and that was creepy critters. Corey did it with a snake and giant frog to Devyn, Aaron did it with lizards, snakes and fake spiders to Sam and Colby- and a bunch of other Youtuber’s videos had had roughly the same concept.
Now, not a lot of people know- but you were pretty allergic to fluffy animals. The slimy, scaly things were nothing- but a fluffy little puppy would puff up your face and give you itchy hives in minutes.
That said, it didn’t stop you. You really loved dogs and cats. You were always found petting Circa, Navi and Buddy whenever you were at the trap house. But you’d always prepared yourself beforehand with Benadryl. You enjoyed playing and cuddling little fluffy animals- and puppies were still your weakness.
“Okay, we’re coming out- this is David by the way,” Sam explained.
“Hi David,” you chimed into the darkness, being the only one to not have met the man beforehand. Kat had been banging on Colby’s apartment door asking for you to come over about ten minutes before you’d been blindfolded.
“Hey,” a male voice greeted.
“Okay, you two ready? We have the first animal species. These ones aren’t too bad,”
“Cup your hands together, they’re kind of long.” David told the two of you. You did as told, flinching your head back as something long and slim was set in your hands. Little claws settled against your hands, and the creature's toes were weird. Whatever it was had a tail that was hanging off the side of your hands.
“What the hell?” You mumbled quietly as Kat let out a surprised cry, you continued your train of thought, “a lizard?”
“Y/N got it! What kind of lizard though?”
“You want us to guess the kind of lizard? Sam, I’ve never even held a lizard,” Kat laughed.
“No idea,” you giggled as you slowly maneuvered the little lizard into you right hand, lifting the left to stroke over its little head.
“Alright, alright,” Sam sighed, “lift the blindfolds- I'll let you guys check out the animals you’re holding because I’m not mean.”
“Awh, they’re so cute,” you cooed after you nudged your blindfold up with your shoulder.
“These little guys are leopard geckos; their names are Dale and Gracie.” David explained to you and Kat.
“Look at their little spots,” Kat grinned, glancing at you.
“Okay, hand the geckos back, and blindfolds down. We’ll be back with the next pet!” Sam took the little leopard gecko from your hands and you reached up to pull your blindfold back into place.
You listened for the footsteps, and prepared yourself for the next critter.
“Here we go, we’ll just set these guys down in your laps...” Sam paused, “watch out for the teeth.”
“Sam!” you gasped, instantly raising your hands away from you lap as something was set down. It had claws, not very pointy, but they were there.
“Y/N, have you touched it yet?” Kat asked hesitantly from your side.
“No, you?” you replied, hands gravitating over your lap carefully.
“No- it’s got claws. Sam, why are they in our laps?” Kat asked quietly. Sam simply laughed, urging you guys to touch the creature. You let your hand fall, and you were greeted by a fluffy texture. Apparently, you made a face, as David and Sam laughed.
“It’s fluffy,” you told Kat, who then made a weird noise before humming quietly.
“A rabbit?” Kat guessed.
“Yeah, definitely a bunny,” you agreed, running your hand over the silky ears and down it’s fluffy back. You were mainly allergic to dogs and cats. Littler animals just gave you a stuffy nose and made your eyes water occasionally.
“You guys are right, blindfolds up!” Sam enthused, “Kat gets the point this round!”
“Y/N is holding Honey, my Holland Lop, and Katrina is holding Gizmo, who is a Cashmere Lop.” David explained. You cuddled Honey, rubbing your cheek against her soft fur.
The guys let you cuddle the bunnies for a few minutes before once again the creatures were taken from you and the blindfold replaced.
“There’s only a few more left,” Sam called from his bedroom. You pointlessly glanced in Kat’s direction; vision still black from the fabric covering your eyes.
“Okay, here you go,”
You yelped out, hands recoiling as something pointy brushed against your hands.
“Y/N? What?” Kat called desperately, but seconds later she yelped out as well.
“Sam, what the hell is that?” you whined.
“Hold your hands out,” Sam replied instead, voice even but it was clear he was finding this hilarious. Your hands shook as you held them out, palm up. Something was set in your hands. You drew in a calming breath, feeling some part of whatever this thing was brushing against your thigh.
“These guys are harmless, it’s the last one you need to worry about,” David said calmly.
“Don’t say that!” You hissed, lowering your hands against you lap and carefully parting them so the thing was settled against your thighs and you could actually touch it.
It was long, flat and kind of round, as well as really pointy. The skin was rough and little spikes ran along its body. Kat was making little horrified, yet confused noises as you two tried to figure out what the hell you were holding.
You pulled back quickly as your fingers brushed along bigger spikes around its head. It was...
“Oh, I know what this is,” you grinned. “It’s a bearded dragon!”
“Oh! Two points for Y/N. That’s exactly what they are- blindfolds up,”
“Oh-” Kat nodded. You both took off your blindfolds to look at the pointy little creatures. Kat was still cupping her lizard while yours was lounging calmly in your lap.
“These two are Ginny and Missy,” David told you. They were really cool looking, but also kind of creepy.
“They’re so pointy?” Kat’s eyebrows furrowed and her mouth formed an ‘o’ shape as she stroked to fingers from the bearded dragon’s head down to the tip of its tail. Sam laughed, leaching down to stroke the lizard in his girlfriend’s lap.
You carefully picked up the lizard in your lap, handing it to David who took her back with a small smile. Sam picked up the lizard from Kat’s lap, following David to his bedroom as he called a hurried “blindfolds!” over his shoulder.
You and Kat exchanged nervous glances as you both pulled the blindfolds down for hopefully the last time. David had said that this animal was the one to be afraid of.
You rubbed your hands together nervously, heart pumping in your chest.
“Back, without an animal. I’m going to give you each a wet-wipe since this animal is kind of sensitive and David wants to keep everything healthy and happy. Just a safety precaution,” Sam explained and he popped open the wet-wipes container, seconds later a wet cloth was set in your hands and you vigorously rubbed your hands together.
“A precaution?” Kat asked as she accidentally elbowed you while wiping her hands, “sorry.”
“No problem,” you mumbled staring straight ahead as you toyed with the wipe.
“Yeah, nothing that will harm humans, but like I said, this animal is sensitive.” Sam took the wipe from you hand and you heard him walk into the kitchen, then job back to the bedroom.
“Ready, girls?” He called, and you could hear the smirk in his voice.
“I’m so scared,” Kat whispered, leaning towards you.
“Me too,” you agreed quietly before shouting back to Sam, “ready!”
The footsteps were loud, but muffled out by the beating of your own heart. Soon, Sam was stood in front of you and you could feel his presence.
“Should we actually do this?” Sam asked, voice low. Your anxiety spiked, because he wasn’t talking to you- no, he was talking to David.
“I mean, the probability they’ll bit is pretty low...” David replied.
“I’m pretty scared just holding it, and I’m wearing the gloves-”
“Sam! You’re wearing gloves?” Kat shouted, and then there was the sound of a chair screeching along the floor.
“No, thank you!” You yelped. Something was set in your lap and you froze. Completely still, hands mid-air.
“Kat,” Sam groaned, “shh, Kat!” and everything fell to silence. “Y/N if you guess this animal, you win as Kat took her blindfold off.”
Your hands shook as they lowered towards whatever was in your lap. It was fuzzy-
“It licked me!” You cried out, cringing lightly and flinching away from whatever it was. You took a wild guess, just wanting the game to be over, “is it, um, is it a dog?”
“Yes! Our winner is Y/N with four points- Kat is our loser with one point, sorry Kat.” Sam exclaimed, telling the camera the final stats.
You were quick to take off the blindfold. Happiness filling you as you stared down at the fluffy little guy in your lap.
“He’s so cute!” You gasped, lifting the little puppy up, “goodness, he’s adorable.” You cooed.
“Oliver and Sydney, two-month-old Corgi puppies,” David grinned. “They’re almost ready to be rehomed.”
“They are so cute!” Cat squealed as she sat herself on the floor. You and David joined her, and the puppies played between the three of you.
“Colby home, Y/N?” Sam questioned, looking at you before gazing towards his door.
“He was editing when I left,” you explained, rubbing your arms as the itching started. Your eyes were watering, and your skin was starting to blotch- soon to be covered in hives, but there was no way you weren’t about to play with these two little corgi puppies.
Sam was gone for about ten minutes. In that time span, you and Kat had each picked up a puppy to cuddle and were sitting together on the couch- invested in the puppies. David had gone to sort out the rest of the animals, as he had a bit of a car ride and would be leaving soon.
You could already tell your face was swelling, not bad, but slightly uncomfortable. Your arms burned with hives- which you simply pulled your sleeves down to hide. Your eyes were damp, and there was a slight scratchiness to your throat- but all in all, this was a pretty mild allergic reaction. You used to react way worse when you were little.
You hid your face in the Oliver’s soft fur, (not the smartest idea on your part, but whatever) when Sam’s apartment door opened.
“What did you want to show me?” You heard Colby, refusing to look up- because he knew, you knew he knew.
“Puppies!” Sam exclaimed, plopping beside Kat and allowing Sydney to stumble into his lap. The little corgi licked his fingers as he stroked her back.
“Puppies?” Colby smiled. He walked further in, eyes trailing from Sam and Kat to you.
“Aren’t you just the handsomest little puppy in the whole wide world?” You asked the little puppy, nuzzling his fur, ignoring Colby’s presence.
“Y/N...” Colby started slowly, “aren’t you like really allergic to dogs?”
You continued petting the puppy, but slowed slightly chewing on the inside of your lip. Yep, he knew.
“Maybe,” you said already knowing what was going to happen, your fingers curled into Oliver’s fur as Colby moved towards you.
“Y/N’s allergic to dogs?” Sam sounded very confused, “but at the house, you were always playing with the dogs.”
“Yea,” you said slowly, not looking up, “I was drugged up on Benadryl...”
“Your voice sounds weird,” Colby told you, arms cross across his chest, “hey, look at me.”
You huffed out, glancing towards your boyfriend who was stood in front of you. He gave you an unimpressed look, reaching over to trail his fingers across your reddened cheek. His frame was blurry due to your watering eyes.
“Y/N, babe, your eyes are so red,” Colby furrowed his eyebrows. You sneezed suddenly, covering your face.
“It’s fine,” you told him, hugging the puppy, knowing your time with him was ticking. Colby was kind of a worrier, and there was no way he’d let you keep touching the dog if it was making you sick.
“Show me your arms.” Another irritated sigh from you as you pushed the sleeves up.
“Jeez, Y/N.” Colby frowned, his fingers now trailing lightly along the hives. “I think we should take him away...” Colby suggested, lifting Oliver under his little arms and picking him up, “and go see if I have any Benadryl in the medicine cabinet.”
Colby set the corgi puppy in Kat’s lap, then moved to help you stand up.
“Thank for being in the video,” Sam smiled, “a heads up about your allergy would’ve been nice though.” You laughed, it sounded nasally, and you ended up coughing after but it was still pretty funny.
“Feel better, Y/N,” Kat smiled, Sam nodding as he also wished you well.
“I’ll be good as new by tomorrow,” you promised. At least, if you got some Benadryl in your system soon.
“You know I love puppies,” you pouted, sniffling as you plopped down on Colby’s couch.
“I also know that dogs literally close off your airways,” Colby narrowed his eyes at you before continuing to the bathroom. He came back a few seconds later with a box of meds. You’d been together for quite a while now, so it made sense that Colby would accommodate your allergy- especially since things like today could literally happen any time.
You took the required dosage, then leaned back against the couch, closing your sore, itchy eyes for a bit. When you opened your eyes, Colby was seated beside you and he was rolling up your shirt sleeves.
He applied a lotion to your rash covered skin, and the itch lessened. You moaned quietly as Colby’s hands ran along your arms, and he laughed quietly, kissing your lips.
“You know this doesn’t change anything, if I see a dog- I'm going to love it,” you told him, completely serious.
“Yes,” Colby nodded, “I’m aware- just give me a heads up so I can come with Benadryl so we can get all this under control faster.”
You grinned, pulling your shirt up, exposing your belly, “will you put lotion here too?” the words accompanied with a suggestive wiggle of your eyebrows.
Colby huffed a laugh, muttering about how lucky you were that you were cute under his breath before slowly lathering a some of the cooling lotion into your skin.
Colby really was a good boyfriend.

"Thank you so much for this opportunity! And thank you for taking the time to meet with me." I smile at the board members of the company that wants to start a brand deal. My manager shakes their hands before ushering my assistant and me out.
As soon as we walk off the property I wipe off my smile and put on a face mask. It's not that I'm not happy to be able to start getting brand deals again. It's just that these things are normally done through email. This company insisted on meeting with me, and after everything that happened, I don't blame them. But I woke up this morning sick. There was no way we could reschedule without looking bad. So Nick, my new manager, called Addison, my assistant, to pick me up at my apartment and bring me to the meeting while I shoved a bunch of medicine down my throat hoping something would get me through this morning.
"You did great today, Isabella. I'm sorry we couldn't cancel the meeting. And Addison, thank you for coming in early today to help us. Here, why don't you take this and get lunch on me? It's the least I could do." Nick hands Addison forty dollars.
"Thanks, but it is fine. If I couldn't be readily available then I shouldn't be an assistant. Luckily, Isabella isn't like some of the other people out here."
"Well, you should get her home. I'll reschedule everything else you should have for the rest of the week. You should be getting an email about album covers and another about the updated merch designs today. If you want those announcements to be done next week you need to respond to them by Monday." I give Nick a thumbs up.
A few minutes later we're in Addison's car. She explains that she'll drop me off at my apartment and then she'll either order postmates or go pick up our food. I agree, knowing that I'm not hungry and really don't care what she gets or when she gets it, I'll probably fall asleep before that. I pull out my phone and dial Colby's number. It rings for a little bit and goes to voicemail.
"Hey, baby. You're probably filming right now. I was just calling to check-in. I'm not feeling good so I'm probably going to sleep for the rest of the day. Just text me when you get this so I know that you and Sam are alive and not in jail." I end the call. Colby will probably enjoy the voicemail. I leave him one similar every time he and Sam are off in the world doing things they shouldn't and he doesn't answer my check-in calls.
Although, with all of the illegal things Sam and Colby do, we have a plan in case they do get arrested. Colby and I made one because I was stressed and upset because he wasn't stressed. I guess the more times they get away with trespassing and whatnot, the less stress they have. Which honestly stresses me the fuck out even more because they're starting to get cocky. The little shits even tweeted about how lucky they are while exploring. I nearly had a heart attack.
****
"Addy, honestly, if you can just get me water, tea, and soup from wherever it would be much appreciated. Also, for today all you need to do is go through my prop closet to get a few things for my video next week and answer emails. You can go home as soon as you're done. Actually, you can work from home tomorrow. Oh, what the hell, take Friday off too while you're at it." I unlock the door to my apartment and let Addison set up her work station at my dining table.
"Okay, and if I'm still here when the emails about your merch and album cover come in what do you want me to do? Do you want me to wake you up or leave you a note or something?" I grab my laptop from my kitchen counter and set it on my coffee table.
"On the off chance that I'm awake let me know. Other than that just text me and when I get up I'll see it."
I finish editing my video for tomorrow and schedule it to come out. At this rate, I'll still be sick tomorrow and forget to upload. I'll probably miss Colby's calls. With the three hour time difference and the fact that he hardly sleeps, I might not miss them at all. Although, right now he's sharing a hotel room with Sam, and they might even be sharing a bed like they usually do to save money. If that's the case, Sam likes to wake up early no matter how late he sleeps. Meaning that if Colby wants any chance of trying to get a decent amount of sleep, he'll have to sleep at a decent time. Lucky for him you're not a morning person unless you have to be.
****
I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I slowly open my eyes and see that it's not even late yet. The night light I turned on just in case I woke up in the middle of the night doesn't even look like it's on. I grab the phone and put it to my ears. I look at the clock on my side table and see that it's nearly five-thirty.
"Hello?" My voice is virtually gone.
"Wow, you sound like shit," Jake mentions on the other end.
"I'm sick you jackass. What do you want?"
"Have you heard from Sam or Colby?" The tone in his voice is worried. I sit up in bed and quickly check my messages and missed calls. The only message I have is from Addison.
"No, I haven’t. What happened?" My heart sinks.
"I rather not tell you over the phone. Just come over."
"Jake, you're scaring me. What's going on?"
"Isabella, just get over here and I promise I'll tell you everything." Jake hangs up the phone before I can try to make him tell me what's happening.
I quickly order an uber and shove things like my wallet and keys in my backpack. I hesitate on bringing my laptop and eventually just shove it in my bag along with my phone and laptop chargers. I throw in the cold medicine and fill my hydro flask with water. I scan my apartment to make sure I'm not forgetting anything important. Only, I don't know what's going on so I don't know if I'm missing anything. I grab a fresh face mask and go wait for my uber outside. It's a ten-minute drive but in my state of worry and the amount of medicine I consumed today means I'm in no shape to drive myself.
****
I get to the trap house and everyone is downstairs in the kitchen. Kat is here too, which makes sense. Jake told me to come over so he'd also call Sam's girlfriend. Everyone is talking seriously and stop when they see me walk in.
"Can I know what's going on now?" I set my bag down on the floor and join the little circle.
"Jake and I have been trying to get in contact with Sam and Colby all day. We thought they were exploring but then we remembered the time difference in Florida. They never said they were going to do an overnight so we panicked a bit." Kat explained.
"I put it on Twitter and jokingly said that I hope they're not in jail. Well, the fans being the little geniuses that they are managed to find them." Jake continues. He types something on his laptop.
"Well, where are they?" Jake flips his laptop around and shows Sam and Colby's mug shots.
"Our boys done fucked up and actually got arrested this time," Corey says while running his hand through his hair.
"We're trying to figure out what to do. We can't get in contact with them or the police station."Aaron says. He's on his computer trying to do some research.
"I have their lawyer's number," I look through my phone and search my contacts, "I kept telling Colby that we needed a plan in case something like this happens and he gave me all the important contacts. Those dumb fucks, I told them yesterday that they jinxed themselves with that stupid tweet."
I give the number to Aaron who goes into another room and calls the lawyer. I pull out my laptop and open up twitter. All everyone is doing is freaking out, making jokes, or posting the mug shots. I do what I can with the information from the mug shots and find the arrest reports.
"Guys, you got an even bigger problem, then Sam and Colby being in jail. Arrest reports are public record and they have to put the address of the people that get arrested. Meaning, that fans are going to have your address."
"Well, that is double great," Corey says.
Kat peeks over my shoulders as I read the arrest report. While Aaron is on the phone with the lawyer I feed him information from the report to make things go faster. Jake went back upstairs to stream with Griffin.
"Okay, real talk. Are we going to have to physically go down there and bail them out or should we like, buy them tickets to come home?" Corey asks.
"We shouldn't need to go down there or buy them tickets. Honestly, I'd just wait for Aaron to get done with the lawyer." Kat says as she scrolls through twitter.
In another tab I have twitter opened up that maybe the fans can help find out more information. I keep refreshing the report pages hoping for some change. Eventually one of the refreshes shows the bail amount.
"What the fuck? Okay so Sam's bail is $2000 but Colby's bail is $6000. What did he do? He has three charges for... Oh my fucking God, I'm dating a dumbass."
"What did he do?" Kat rushes in from the other room.
"He still had his fake ids on him. He's 22, what the hell is he doing with them still? I know he still gets carded when we go out so he should know they're in there. And why does he have two?"
Kat can't help but laugh and I quickly join her. When they come back we're going to have a lot of fun making fun of them about this. Eventually, I go back on twitter and see that Elijah is adding more fuel to the fire by saying he's helping. I quickly pull out my phone and dial his number. After a few rings, he picks up.
"Hello?"
"What are you doing?"
"Who is this?"
"It's Isabella. Why are you tricking the fans into thinking that you're helping?"
"I'm not—"
"If you think you can gain clout from this situation, we're going to have a real problem."
"Are you threatening me?"
"No, I'm telling you that you either help us out for real or shut the fuck up because we don't need the added stress right now."
"I do want to help. Trust me, I know more about this than you think."
"I don't doubt that. Give me a few minutes and I'll text you." I hang up and ask Aaron if I could give his number to Elijah. When he says yes I send his number and attempt to do damage control on twitter.
Based on what I'm reading fans are calling the station and camping outside. I know they mean well but they are possibly making the situation worse and making it difficult for us to do what we need to do. Also, by trying to camp out at the station they are potentially putting themselves in danger.
I also see that Jake is publicly calling Elijah out and Elijah is baiting him. I quickly run upstairs and knock on the door. I explain that Elijah is helping to Jake. His live stream is still on so I make sure to whisper and cover my mouth.
"You're hot," Jake says randomly.
"Wha—" Jake surprises me by putting his hand on my forehead.
"Oh shit, you're burning up."
"I told you I was sick when you called."
"Hey Griff, take over for a bit. I'll be back. If she dies while Colby's in jail, he'll kick all of our asses." Jake stands up and drags me out of the room.
"I have medicine in my backpack. I'll take it and go back to what I was doing." I try to go downstairs but Jake keeps pulling me towards the Sam and Colby hallway.
"Oh no, you won't. Colby told us to keep an eye on you while he's gone. You're going to sleep in Colby's room. I'll get your bag. You're sweating and your body heat is radiating off of you."
I'm too tired to argue with Jake. I walk into the room and flop down on the bed. I'll clean the sheets before Colby gets back so he doesn't get sick. Jake leaves and a few minutes later he comes back with Kat. They reassure me that they have everything under control and that they'll only wake me if it was necessary. After a few minutes, I fall asleep.
****
I wake up to the sound of someone walking around the room. I open my eyes and see grey in front of me. It takes a few seconds to remember that I'm still at the trap house and sleeping on Colby's couch. In the middle of the night after the boys got arrested I had a false sense of maybe I wasn't sick anymore. I quietly cleaned Colby's bed of all my germs. It wasn't until after I made Colby's bed and at some of his snacks that I felt sick again and that I might throw up. Luckily I didn't, but as a precaution, I slept on the couch because it was the closest to the door.
The rest of Friday was a blur. I remember times when Jake, Aaron, Devyn, or Corey would wake me up to eat or take medicine. In those moments they would fill me in on what's going on with Sam and Colby. The last thing I remember was hearing was that Colby finally got out on bail and that they would be flying back tomorrow. It was still early because I had to respond to the emails about my merch and album art before going back to sleep.
I turn to see Colby tip-toeing around the room. His eyes lock with mine and he smiles.
"Good morning beautiful," He whispers while coming to sit next to me. I sit up and latch on to him.
"You're home. You're safe. Are you okay? Not hurt anywhere?" I quickly check him over.
"I'm fine, Iz. I'm okay, I promise." Colby chuckles to himself.
"Good, then I won't feel bad when I do this." I smack Colby hard against the head.
"Ow! What the fuck? What was that for?" Colby rubs the spot where I hit him.
"Oh, you know why, you jerk. That was for making me worry and for not getting rid of your fake ids."
"I'm sorry. For making you worry. And honestly, I forgot that I had them in my wallet."
"I'm only partially sorry for smacking you. Anyway, are you really okay? Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really; not right now anyway. All I want to do is sleep in my bed with you next to me."
"Just don't kiss me. I'm still a bit sick."
I climb into the bed before Colby. He puts his suitcase away and takes off his shirt before climbing in next to me. I lay my head on his chest and trace circles on his chest. Colby rubs my back softly. It's quiet for a while. I can't fall back asleep. I can't tell if it's because I basically slept for 2 days or because Colby is keeping things bottled up.
"Hey, Iz? You still up?" Colby asks. He doesn't stop rubbing my back.
"Yeah. What's wrong?" I sit up and prop my head in my hand.
"Nothing's wrong. After Sam and I met with the lawyer this morning we decided to stop exploring abandoned buildings for a bit. We're still going to explore, we're just going to do it safely and legally. I was wondering if you would come with us one day?"
"Yeah, I'll go. We can talk about it more when the three of us are together. Now go to sleep. Want me to sing you a lullaby?"
"I wouldn't hate it if you did." I lay my head back down on Colby's chest and start to softly sing a song at the top of my head. Soon Colby drifts off to sleep and I join soon after.
