CHAPTER 1

Soap's POV :

The Captain dragged us into a meeting and we have no idea why. I was busy watching Princess And The Frog after working out for ages, I just wanted to relax after so many back-to-back missions.

"Thank you all for showing up I do appreciate it, I know we are all probably tired, however I thought this was important to discuss before you saw them around the base." Huh saw who around base? Is someone new joining? I glanced around the room and caught Gaz's confused eyes.

"See who sir?" I asked cautiously, "___ they are the K9 trainer and his callsign is K9 because of this. He has a fully-grown perfectly trained cane corso who is with ___ at all times. If any of you are scared of big dogs then I am sorry because Bucky is huge. There will be a meeting introducing you all do not worry but I thought I should give you a heads up. Dismissed." Answered Price.

Whilst walking next to Ghost in the hallway I couldn't help thinking about what Price said. I don't even know what a cane corso looks like. Oh well, when I get to my room I'll find out cause Google is my friend. "Hey, Lt. Do you know what a cane corso looks like?" I questioned, "I think I have an idea, pretty sure they grow up to 70 cm (27.5 inches) ish and weigh up to 50 kgs (110 pounds) They are massive dogs." Ghost murmured.

I could feel my eyes bulging out of my sockets at the thought of a dog that big.As I finally got to my room, I instantly looked up what a cane corso looked like and I think I shit myself. I have to meet one of those tomorrow.

Time skip : meeting K9 and Bucky

We all sat in the common room for our introductions. Me and Gaz were playing uno whilst Ghost was just watching us like a babysitter would with two children whilst we were waiting for Price and ___. Slowly we heard footsteps, they sounded heavy like platform boots, you could hear heavy breathing coming from Bucky and mumbling muffled talking from K9 and Price. The footsteps gradually increased in volume until Price walked in along with an awkward-looking guy. He wore large combat boots which had to add at least 3 inches to his height, and a large leather jacket with lots of patches on ranging from band patches to quotes. Oh and a trans flag. Nice. His belt was studded like he bought it in the 2000s with added chains which actually looked heavy, he had black eyeliner on and a face mask. If he wasn't like 5"7 with his boots on I'd say he was terrifying.

After I finally stopped staring at this Greek god of an emo boy and got my shit together I noticed his dog, Bucky, who was eyeing everyone wearily as if at any point we would attack him or ___. With how intimidating they both look I think they suit each other.

"Um hi I'm ___ or K9 and I'll be training dogs you take on missions and sometimes taking the dogs on the missions myself. Nice to meet you all. As you all know, this is Bucky, he won't hurt you." He giggled towards the end and oh my god it's like I heard heaven gates open and when I gazed around the room I knew everyone felt the same with all the wide eyes and stuttering introductions.

"Well these are my boys, Lt. Ghost Riley , Sergeant Soap Mactavish and Sergeant Gaz Garrick. Boys this is Sergeant K9 he will be working with you as he described he will also be living on base and training with you lads so I expect them to come back to me feeling welcomed into the Taskforce is that clear?" Demanded Price. "Yes Sir." We all responded in unison.

As I observe K9 and Bucky I cant help but smile at how at ease he seems with his dog. I think he is gonna fit in perfectly.

my thing about izaya is that he's so strange and weird and i love that so much. i didn't want to ramble too much in the notes of that poor person's post but i find the way he speaks and the words he chooses so interesting so let me ramble a little bit. this may or may not even be coherent so bear with me here im just going to speak my thoughts.

ok this got really fucking long and all over the 0place so im putting this under a read more sorry.

so i have volume 9 of the novel in both english and japanese. i only have two novels in japanese and that is this one and yuuyake wo. so i'm pretty crazy about this izaya speech analysis shit. anyways i was rereading thru the jp ver the other day just to compare it to the eng and i kinda realized that like.

a lot of people you can separate their speech in either formal and informal speech right? someone like shizuo speaks really informally and uses a lot of rough, dragged-out versions of words and stuff (しゃーねえ vs しょうがない) and then someone like shinra who speaks in a ton of yojijukugo and generally sounds like a nerd emoji gijinka.

izaya on the other hand rly... doesn't fit in either? i mean sure he sounds like another nerd emoji gijinka but it's kinda different. it's not so much the words he speaks but rather the intonation and his tone...

and he has his moments where he speaks pretty seriously and whatnot of course, but in general he just... doesn't sound very human when he speaks? i don't know if that's a conscious effort or not. is it his attempts at distancing himself from his own individual humanity? or is it just because he's a weird guy? i dunno. but it's interesting nonetheless.

one thing i will note though is that despite his somewhat inhuman speech patterns, it's also pretty...dramatic? to the extent where it's really exaggerated but also very cute and charming. (this part is important.)

i think a lot of what makes izaya's speech so weirdly inhuman is because he doesn't really use a lot of slang or similar lingo that people his age would typically use. i know mikado said in the novels that he doesn't really try to fit in with his age group's fashion sense either so it makes sense but still. he's like an old hag it's so funny. and it's because of that that when he says stuff like 'i don't get all hot and heavy over headless women' or whatever he said to celty it's really amusing to me because like... why is the strange man saying this?💀

another example i kinda giggled about on my twitter when i read it it's not even crazy and i sound corny and cheesy and stupid but theres this scene in vol 9 where izaya messages celty for business and hold on let me just put it as a quote.

he sounds so old saying 'video game' like 😭 idk it's just funny cause he barely even knows anything abt games like bro knows nothing im crying

in the jp hes like 「…ゲーム中なのかい？」 and then when celty tries to explain herself he says 「何を言ってるのか、良く解らないんだけど」 and im rly bad at tling parts of sentences and stuff but just know that the way he words it makes it sound like this gif to me

i love both versions i think the original jp makes him sound like hes so lost and confused (hence why pw gif cause lord that man always looks lost LMFAOOOO) and then eng tl just blunt ass "I don't know what you're talking about." makes him sound like full on hag 😭😭😭

first i think it's funny the translation has izaya say fuck here cause he very rarely swears and i did read this one thing about how he only swears when his mask slips so to me this is like genuine bewilderment that he cant even hide LOL. second why is he so excited to hear about 'whatever sexual fetish' shinra has im crying he's so damn nosy . okay but this is not the funniest part let me add that now.

Can I punch you?" made me havbe a good laugh. in the jp he says 「んー。殴ってもいいのかな？」 which is pretty much the same thing just with the intonation of like 'hmmmmmmmmm should i hit u or not...' sorry like i said im just bad w explaining this stuff. but i felt the need to point it out not cause im one of those annoying ppl who praise the original jp ver and reject translations and localizations i just think it's important for izaya specifically cause i love him and i want to analyze his speech patterns as best as i can.

i was going thru the novel just now for other stuff i wanted to mention and i forgot abt this part but it's so funny.

'Let's not get hasty. Type calmly, please.' its not even funny or nothing i just find it so amusinf whenever he talks like that💀 i will say though the english translation kind of makes him sound more weird and inhuman than the original. that line in the original was basically just him telling her she needs to calm down enough to at least type properly LOL. idk if im just being nitpicky cause this is izaya tho so feel free to ignore that. fwiw i like the eng tl bc while it's a different intonation than the original japanese ver i think if he did speak english it would probably sound smth like that anyways.

this too made me laugh like ??? seriously he is really nosy when it comes to people's intimate affairs. in the jp ver he calls them an 'intimate couple' which just is like .. ok bro💀

does anyone else see my vision of izaya getting cucked by celty (does it count as cucking when celtys the one dating shinra) while he looks sad and pathetic and miserable that he never decided to shoot his shot w shinra back in the day

if i were commenting on the actual stuff going on in this scene rn this post would be a lot olonger and even more terribly all over the place so im just gonna focus on how i think it's funny izaya says 'easy, man...' this is like one of the only times his words are somewhat natural and sound like smth you would hear someone else say. in the jp ver it's 「おいおい…」 which is somewhat less out of left field in terms of coming from izaya but still it's pretty surprisingly normal. i have to wonder if in that moment he's too worried about shinra to care about keeping up appearances.

this is just random and me making fun of izaya as usual but why the hell does he weigh himself after his showers💀💀💀 it's cute and endearing and only adds to his strong gap moe but still... it's strange...

speaking of cute things this is from a volume i forget but he says this one phrase a couple of times and it is just both really cute and also kind of idk... saddening. one of the times i can remember he says it is when namie was making fun of him or something and he replies 'Don't tease me. I'm only human.' or something along those lines and it's like . hm. ok.

i think it's cute he says 'dont tease me' a few times cause eughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (trying to ward off severe brain damaged incoherent thoughts) but 'im only human' is like... are you really? even after you try so hard to escape your own humanity and individual self so much... im going to try and give my thoughts on it here but this is just based off my hc that izaya has bpd so yanno. im basing a lot oif this on my own experiences sorry. i do that a lot. (gestures over to all the posts i make abt fob/mychem fan izaya)

when it comes to just straight up acknowledging his humanity izaya has no problems with this because 'sure, i'm human. isn't that obvious?' is probably something along the lines of what he thinks. it's easy for him to just say that because it's just that. it's just words. it holds no real meaning and shows no true insight into how he actually perceives himself. but when it comes to actually having to come face to face with his own humanity and the fact that yes, he is only human, it's a lot more difficult because now it's out of his control. i wonder also if he has problems with perceiving his own self.

i say this a lot but i truly do believe izaya is so so so beautiful and i love him so much. also i just saw a funny post on twitter so i wanna say this here idk if yall know this but izayas actually a latina hes got chismosavirus❤ ok thats all i have to say sorry for rambling so much

(And, this is like.. Sun Deity Grian was being held captive by the Watchers due to the power he gives off- he's basically a living solar battery. And then they kidnapped Voidwalker XIsuma and threw them in the same cage and yeah

Grian is younger than Xisuma and so hes very protective of Grian.)

“⍑-⍑ᒷꖎꖎ𝙹..? ∴⍑𝙹 ᔑ∷ᒷ ||𝙹⚍?” A voice, he looked around, trying to find who spoke. Eventually he found the figure of a small.. Avian? They had dirty white wings, and hair that covered their face.

“Pardon.?”

“↸𝙹- ↸𝙹 ||𝙹⚍ リ𝙹ℸ ̣ ᓭ!¡ᒷᔑꖌ gᔑꖎᔑᓵℸ ̣ ╎ᓵ?” Xisuma sighed, unable to understand the language this person was speaking.

“Do you speak English..?” The boy hesitated, as if thinking about his words.

"╎- i uhm, ╎ ᓵᔑリ speak english. リ𝙹ℸ ̣ very ⊣𝙹𝙹↸ ℸ ̣ ⍑𝙹⚍⊣⍑ sorry" He coughed, before speaking again, “I speak English.” The boy took a step forwards, his hair moved out of his face to reveal a face full of freckles and the occasional bruise. He stuck his hand out towards Xisuma.

“My name is Grian..”

Xisuma took his hand, shaking it softly, “It's nice to meet you Grian, im Xisuma.”

“Suma, do you have any family?” The question was random, but understandable. If they were to be stuck together it made sense for him to want to know about him.

“Uhm, yeah. I live on a server with my brother, and our parents live in the end. What about you, Grian? Any family?”

Grian paused, thinking about his response. “I've got my twin sister Pearl.?”

“That's lovely, what about your parents?”

He didn't respond for a bit, which worried Xisuma slightly. He was about to speak, when Grian responded. “Xisuma..? What are parents?”

“That is the saddest thing I've ever heard.”

There was always a watcher standing guard at the door, and twice a day they entered the cell. For breakfast, and for dinner. - It used to be only The Sun getting two meals, something about ‘keeping the power source alive’ but The Sun refused to eat unless the Voidwalker was given two meals as well.

The watcher entered the room, two plates of ‘food’ in its hands. It paused as it realised there was only one being in the cell, which was the voidwalker. It looked around the cell, hoping the other one was just hiding in a corner, eventually the watcher placed down the food and walked over to the voidwalker.

"∴⍑ᒷ∷ᒷ ╎ᓭ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ᓭ⚍リ?" It sighed, looking at the blank look on the voidwalkers face, “Where is the sun gone?” The voidwalker looked confused for a second.

“The sun.? oh. You mean Grian? He's around.” The voidwalker shrugged, not seeming to be concerned.

“Around..?” The watcher was confused, “You don't know where the Sun is, do you?” He cant have gone far, the cell was supposed to be indestructible.

A tile fell from the roof, and a cheerful figure popped their head down, his smile wide even as he looked at the watcher, “Did you guys know there’s a space above the ceiling?”

Grian had only been in this place for a few weeks, his hopes were still high although he was extremely bored. And his wings were hurting. And he didn't like the dark. And- and. Well. It sucked.

He was currently walking back and forth the cell, a watcher stood at the top, a tray of food in its hands, it seemed to be examining his movements.

“Wow, I keep stepping on a lot of Crunchy twigs, don't i?” The noise of snapping and crunches could he heard beneath Grians feet.

“T⍑𝙹ᓭᒷ ᔑ∷ᒷ ʖ𝙹リᒷᓭ, s⚍リ.” The watcher spoke with no emotion, watching as Grian immediately snapped his head upwards, refusing to look down.

“Not if I never look down!”

When opla was announced I was guarded, but trailers and learning that Oda would have first and last word about everything made me hopeful.

But I knew that live action are never for the actual die hard fans.

Too much need to be cut because of time, as real actors cant look like they only age two years for 26 years, and some cartoon stuff doesnt translate well to live action *cough* garps fist of love *cough*

So I was able to convince my friend to watch opla with me.

She had read the manga when she was little, up to syrup village, so she was excited to see Kuro because she actually liked him back when she read it.

I was mostly there just to observe my friends reaction to it instead.

My favorite moment was watching her freak out after the "grandpa?" reveal.

I dont like that Garp was included that early on, I didnt mind him being there at rogers execution. But more than that seemed too much. I watched some Netflix guy explaining that they wanted to add a reason why the strawhat had to keep moving from island to island, but no marine would do because who would bother chasing a pirate crew with no bounty. I understand that reasoning. Still dont like it, but I understand.

But my friends reaction made it all better.

Did you know netflix wanted a romance between Nami and Zoro? Thank god Oda was there to stop it.

Also my friend and I quote "Oregano is for savages!" a lot now.

I'm truly glad you liked it anon and I do understand the excitement that came with it, but I honestly could not stand it. Nearly every scene and every line was like "Sanji wouldn't say that. Nami wouldn't do that. Why is this happening? Luffy definitely wouldn't say that."

An adaptation must adapt to its medium, true, but that is not what this did. This was an insanely loose reinterpretation that took so much charm away for me. I've talked about it on this Tumblr tons now but I've finally had the time to watch through all of it now that the hype's died down, and it just made me angrier per episode?

They had to shorten things down, but they included so many new scenes that added nothing? They had to explain the Strawhats going from island to island... WHY? They literally had a spine to go off, the original property had them going from island to island to find a crew and get to the grand line. That's literally a very solid reason. WHY did they need any marines chasing them? It just sounded like an excuse to add a fan favourite character so the Garp fans could scream about it.

And I've said this many times, but Oda being part of the process genuinely means nothing to me. Netflix infamously do not listen to their creators, and not only did they admit Oda HATED the Garp addition and they STILL added him, you can tell so much of his original vision was thrown aside for non-anime fan audience convenience. Usopp and Sanji felt like side characters for god's sake, Buggy felt comically evil for a LIVE ACTION, Mihawk's fight was literally so empty due to the fact no one was THERE? NAMI was the one who yelled she believes in Zoro and they'll always be friends??

I truly do not believe Oda would agree to most of that, and considering we know he was ignored for Garp, we know for sure he was definitely ignored for many other things.

As always, if you loved it, great! I'm glad the excitement was met. Maybe I'm cynical, maybe it's not to my tastes, but it screams Netflix cash cow to me and the whole time I watched it I thought "This is not One Piece at all."

As a reinterpretation? Great!

theres been 2 posts on how felipe wasnt the culprit (heres one by wrinklemcdinkle) (heres another by ralexsol) ive seen, so im throwing my own theory into the mix: the demon is kuba kenta and kk (or mr. kenta) has relations to both niklaus hendrix AND the compass. lets get into it!

lets start with the tags i wanted to use (i found they werent actually on the felipe is nk post, but rather on the second felipe is being framed post i linked)! theres a couple details here i mention but why do i say kuba in particular?

the only person who could actually have something against gillion straight up is jayson ferin, mainly cause he got stabbed by him twice, but jayson isnt a demon! you know who is a demon though? kuba kenta. so for jayson, mr kenta was the perfect way.

as for felipe's escape, the rope was burnt, correct? who has fire powers again? mr ferin. when felipe was being investigated or whatever, kuba contacted jayson and he got him out of there, leaving there be reason to assume felipe was dragged to hell.

yes i do think felipe was controlled by kuba to hurt gillion, it plugs up some plot holes thats for sure. so how would felipe been target if he only pulled the card the next day? because felipe probably was a target since he was born.

its important to point out the compass not only having effects like kk's scratches do (give nightmares, cause physical reactions/changes, etc), but a similar color pattern to both niklaus and felipe. (pointed out by several people before me, like aethlingg in his actual essay about evil felipe working with niklaus shown above) another interesting detail is the nk tattoo is used with a moon attached, felipe's choice of goddess to worship. he immediately finds a friendship with chip when about 4 eps ago, niklaus had been given a stick by chip (important cause of how it was harder to spy on niklaus since the stick was in his room and stuff before, i think itd also add in an idea of "greater connection with the person" and stuff). i could go on and on abotu their connections.

lets get back to the connection of niklaus and kuba. how would they even have met? probably something like chip did for his deal. as the quote above shows (found from the post by redcloverf3y, heres another link to it), people who have that desire for their goals will find him, not those who look for it. why would kuba need to strike a deal with desire daddy? because how else would he be able to use felipe. theres no way the curse would change the free will of felipe (it didnt do that for chip or gillion), so if he wants felipe to be a better puppet, he needs something to interfer with that. niklaus and kuba cut that deal, and felipe doesnt lose that curse on him, well to the others. kuba wouldnt have been able to give felipe the nightmares, anytime we see him hes with the three, so someone would have seen him get scratched! even if he got scratched in the couple months before they met him (cause felipe was six months old, not a couple days), the scars dont fade, rather theres the black ooze to them that burns, making it not a forgetable thing.

speaking of that, lets move onto the daggers situation. why the fuck would a tour guide have such dangerous daggers, poisonous ones to be exact (i heard it had poison effects somewhere, but sadly cannot find any info about that)? felipe has no need for poison daggers! he literally can spit acid! that means its only being used for its forgetfulness, which doesnt make too much sense to me since its not like being stabbed isnt just something you remember but theres the fucking pain of it too (example being, when i was younger and we were in the car getting ready to leave some place, there was this like tightness on my foot and i look at the door and [because it was one of those automatic doors and shit] it was closing on my foot. i didnt remember getting my foot in there and i still dont know how it happened, i do remember though how much of a bitch the pain was. not close to the pain of stabbing im sure, but you still remember the pain even without the memory of how it got there). that leaves one last usage: actually stabbing. again, hes a tour guide, he has no reason to need to stab people, no reason he should have a dagger that damaging, let along access to one like it. you know what has good weapons, ones with magic and shit? the navy. hell, theyre building a mechicanical leviathin! they of course have magic weapons for combat and such. and being a vice admiral, kk would have access to all of them. he gets a dagger for felipe, uses his deal to make sure felipe does whats needed, there.

so why would pulling the card get kuba as his enemy? its the magic of the cards! why would felipe hate gill? why would gillion dissappear only able to be brought back by powerful magic (whole can of worms for niklaus's abilities btw, needed to point that out)? the cards! theres also how felipe did reveal what his plans with gill were gonna be, but its probably just the cards.

i do also think the compass is related to kenta cause of their abilities being matched and it kinda fits him, a man driven even beyond the grave to reach a goal, even if that goal is only known by him...but this is long enough!

ASKAOSKOAKS yk, I was thinking that if my life was a tv show the team slowburn angsty friends to lovers is having a great week because of recent developments. But basically, we met almost exactly 12 years ago, we bonded because I had a crush on his best friend at the time, he had a crush on my best friend at the time and they didn't want to date us lol and then we just stuck around. But we kinda cursed ourselves by bonding over wanting other people because there are always other people involved, he's currently in a very messy on/off relationship and they are taking some space to figure shit out, and he lives in a different city, but I live in the same city as his mom, he came to see her, we ended up spending about 10 hours together, things were said, questions were asked, feelings might've been uncovered, because I never truly thought about the possibility of me having feelings for him before Saturday, like I think he's hot, but I never thought beyond the vague awareness that I think he is attractive lol, like seriously, if you asked me last week I would've confidently said it's not like that between us, someone literally asked me on Saturday if I was his gf and I just laughed, but he went back to his city, we see each other once every 2 years at this point, I don't know how he's feeling, so like, I'm not sabotaging our friendship because I'm confused because we kissed at 5 am after a night out lol but realistically, we both had issues with long-distance relationships in the past and that's not something either one of us would be willing to get into even if without the other complications, so I can't date him logistically even if this was a thing that we multually want, which I'm honestly not sure, because I'm pretty sure he's gonna get back together with his ex, so I'm in pretend it never happened mode, repression at it's finest. OK BET! Lucky (now being a big fucking lizard thats in the WRONG REGION (or as chief calls it, contraband.) has a pretty bias to everything and everyone. He like chief and licks him a ton. Because unlike his dad, chief isn't afraid of his muzzle. Lucky of course loves his dad. (He has no idea that his dad is both genders so its just always dad.) Lucky finds anything smaller then him either: Tiny friend, or yummy looking. despite having thoughts (and.being very fucking open about it.) he does not eat anyone or anything without his dads permission. (sept if its small prey as he knows hes allowed to eat those) ^ despite this in chapter 9 "Autodidact" he bites his dad and *really* likes the taste. Lucky sees his dad "spacing out a lot" (talking to the voice.) but does not ask about it Even though he KNOWs his dad is scared he will still be nuzzley whenever their in a den. cause whats he gonna do? run? Lucky knows his dad is starved (err whisperer has not eatan for like 6 days by the way.) and heavily wants him to take a break as the bleed wounds are stacking up and he has a feeling his dad cant take it much longer. Lucky learnt from chief to tap the ground with his claws if he wants something. Lucky does not care about his "actual mom and dad" and wants to stay with whisperer. In chapter 9 after he sees that his dad physically start freaking out when lucky gets a minor injury, he starts to feel really bad for all the stress he thinks hes causing. Lucky loves hugging, tackling, and any physical affection Lucky uses his antennas to "call his dad", but really he just wants to play. Lucky messed with whisperer when lucky was a baby by pointing his antennas up to make them think they were horns. Lucky is the one who said the quote for chapter 9 "I know you dont want to die here, and i know your not going to let me die." Anyway who you wantFUNFACT on nect? (theres like 3 other peoplelool)

Im starting to feel a bit bad for the relationship lucky and whisperer have now. But Despite their fear whisperer still manages to form & hold onto that bond they have, and even though thats really sweet to me, its all in a really melancholic way. Bcause in reality nomatter the connection they form there will always be atleast a small essence of luckys prey drive (EG, lucky enjoying the taste of whisperers blood) and whisperers fight or flight (mainly flight) instincts. It makes me sad, huff….,,,,

Also im very nervous for the day lucky fully finds out/is completely and utterly aware of voice. Lucky’s already been tense since whisperers not eaten at all, been getting hurt, been scared of lucky getting hurt, etc etc. current thoughts are lucky will either go into an aggression spiral, or a freak out will happen when this just adds on to the pile of luckys concerns. posting this here instead of main bc i like to keep my writing stuff here,

i stopped attaching songs to fics bc i was sick of being like "who the hell is gonna listen to this?" every single time i included one. i like using quotes a lot more to be honest bc its a much more effective to give the reader a peek of the story's vibe

but usually id wait till the last moment to pick a song to attach, or i'll pick a few and decide ever everything was written.

usually i sort of let the prompt marinate in my head and think of one scene i really wanna write, or some kind of specific dialogue interaction

before starting the draft i write out an outline in longhand in a notebook and include notes on the margin abt content warnings and what dirty stuff i wanna add. (im sorry this is very cumbersome and weird but its the only way that makes sense to me)

also i sort of break the outline into chunks and usually end up starting the fic somewhere in the middle to write the part i care about the most. and then kinda skip around and hope for the best when i get to editing.

in my experience if you write smut, or explicit content, you really gotta force yourself to write it in one sitting. ive found its so hard to write the endings to dirty scenes if i cant quite remember the feelings i started with, if that makes sense?

i cant write chronologically to save my life so i like to let whatever sparks my creativity the most to start. writing long hand helps me visualize what scenes are gonna be the longest/ get a general idea what the beginning middle and end are gonna look like.

also writing longhand is good when u have ideas at odd hours of the night u wanna jot down and remember rather than using notes app bc the notepad's not going to irritate your eyes like a screen would. i think that deserves a shout out.

Yeah, Ferrari has always had much deeper lying problem than just who the TP is and it seems like they still aren't fully willing to tackle them.

And I also think that like you say Ferrari are a little bit stuck in their ways and in being Ferrari and don't want to change or adapt some of the things that made other teams successful.

Hi this is the same anon that came to you questions my identity maybe I should give myself an anon? I would like to drop by often and chat a bit about identity and such. Maybe 🦪. I tried to take your advice and go on Reddit and see if I could listen to the community and such but I can’t help but feel that the community has a bit of racism going on. I just searched afro indigenous to see if I could find more people with my struggles or more people who have gone though the exact same thing of me but the first thing that popped up was about a show of indigenous people and I tried to scroll through it with a open mind and open heart but I can’t say I don’t feel hurt by the comments a bit. They seem to separate black indigenous people as just black and internally don’t seem to claim them. They called it “indigenous shows” and how indigenous people needed their own shows and how we already have a ton of our own. And I get it I do but it also feels like they just don’t want to add black mvskoke to their show and- I’ll leave a quoted comment that kinda deflated me. “There are plenty of "black shows". This show is for us indigenous. I don't believe it needs more representation of anyone else except for more indigenous people. Some groups are over represented, we are not in that category. If it were me, I'd show less of other races and try to bring more native talent into the world. But, that's just my opinion. Love the earth and each other” and then another comment under that one being “1 agree. There are black shows with black creators, black actors, and that talk about black issues. This is a show about Indigenous creators, Indigenous actors, that talk about Indigenous issues. Everyone deserve to see a show about people like them created by people like them. I am so sorry i didnt warn you. There is a lot of anti-black racism in the native community unfortunately but i KNOW there has to be afro-native groups out there. Because there are black natives ive seen articles of them talking about their experiences, as a black person, as a native person, and as a black native person.

And what they said is wrong. Yes rez dogs is more geared towards ppl who grew up on the rez, but that shouldnt exclude black natives. Your blackness doesnt diminish or is even always seperate from your indigeny. Not to mention not everyone grew up on the rez. Not everyone grew up with their culture. And also it seems rez dogs still plays into colorism but i could be wrong.

Rez dogs is great im sure. and not everyone has to be represented all the time. But if we were to say it focuses just on ppl from a rez then that includes black natives who grew up on the rez. That is a fact.

There are black natives who have grown up on a reservation, whole families! They are native they are indigenous as a whole person. And they want to uphold white supremacist type bullshit to keep the 'purity'. its just plain bigotry

Because you KNOW that not everyone on that cast is 100% native theres got to be someone whos mixed. and its like does that automatically disqualify them as part of the native representation?

Native is all skin tones. Its all hair styles. Its all clothing type all music types all accents. Its also all over the place.

You have these assholes say that someone who doesnt give a shit about being native yet is 100% in blood, has more worth as a voice than someone who is low BQ but helps the community and is deep within their culture or wtvr- even someone with low BQ and born on the rez they will claim fraud.

Just remember that at the end of the day, you have to know in your gut and your brain and your soul that they are wrong. That they are bigots. Black native people are native. Not part. Whole. Being black doesnt take away or diminish being native at ALL.

What i tell everyone is, you are what native looks like. In experience, in physical appearance, in all ways.

Again im so sorry for not telling you and you had to experience that. Just know there are other black natives, of every tribe. There are articles on their experiences. Just dont read the comments
