mallow i need to know, what do u use to write?
software wise? mix of obisidan and scrivener.
obisidan is a free app for managing markdown files. there's a lot more to it than that, but i've rambled about it before. i use it for holding ideas, typing things up (sometimes), one-shots, and a few other things.
scriv holds the main body of the work for most multis and for one-shots in a series, altho i'm still moving stuff over, so...it's missing a lot. annoyingly i have writing in a total of three places, plus tumblr drafts, so when i need to find something i've been working on for a while...it's a hunt. but i'm putting everything new in scriv and moving things over as i go.
anyway, depending on what computer i'm working on, i occasionally also do my drafting in scriv. it's much more of a hassle for me to export if i write it all in scriv, because i have to do a bunch of finicky things that take too long, but because of weird computer reasons, i can only sync my projects to obsidian on one computer, and i chose to do that to the "desktop". (it's a laptop, but i treat it as a desktop.) so if i start a project on my laptop, it gets formatted differently.
when it comes to the bulk of my drafting, though, that happens in notebooks. i'm currently on my fifth one (it's grey!)
