Thank you for your concern! My carpal tunnel has been approving somewhat these last few weeks! Hopefully I'll be able to find some free time this weekend while I'm off to knock down some of this list.

Also if you do happen to send in an idea similar to someone else's; don't worry too much about it because I don't mind, I like the challenge~ Duplicates give me the opportunity to try out different ideas that I may have for a single plot/theme.

Late night early morning messy alternate universe doodles. And by messy I mean what the heck are these lines sometimes

I usually don't draw on paper but it was easier to do that than to draw with a mouse on an uneven surface at the time. Sometimes I'm tired of fighting with the computer mouse ya know?

I was trying to sketch potential designs for a thing in a specific au here. I think it turned out super cool

It didn't end up being changed that much between different drawings so I think I got something here

The writing says "sleeves stretche with wing (not ripping somehow)

Yes I'm keeping my spelling error noted lol it's funny

So yeah I had to say to myself 'just think of it like arm physics' and stuff like that. I don't remember what most fingers are called but the pinky finger and the one next to it are part of his wings so part of his wings move along with those two fingers

But oh yeah with the thought still fresh on the mind: 'just think of it like arm physics', I forgot arm physics in this one

"In flight (after a long time of not trying out his wings for fear of folks expecting him to use them if he could, something finally provokes him enough to take off.) So yeah it turns out the wings left by the curse actually still function"

Au Hop: "Lately I've been into using random words as insults. It's funnier than using actual insults when done right."

Reaper(also an au Hop from a different au): "Woag"

Reaper has 2 Leons. The one with the caption "taking notes" above him is named Dandelost and isn't actually related to Reaper. Dandelost doesn't get along with his own Hop and well, Reaper is one of the few people who even can get along with Dandelost but ... Reaper, friendly little guy that he is, can easily get along with most people. Dandelost is planning on getting better at being a jerk to people here.

The other Leon standing next to Reaper (judging Dandelost for taking notes) is the one actually related to Reaper. He's a gargoyle who can turn into a human and he dresses all professional when he's a human.

The Leon next to the other au Hop doesn't quite approve of his own Hop attempting to be a bad influence on the small innocent chaotic floating Hop

In the au the bat-dragon Drayton and the fluffy alien Hop and Leon are from, some kind of ripple effect(?) happened when the pokemon were abducted by some aliens that caused time (and aging) to pause. don't question it

Hello, Anon! Thanks for playing along with me!

plumeria— are you currently working on any creative projects? if so, what kinds?

Yeah, I am! Hmm... I suppose we could divide them in several categories?

Fanfic-wise, I'm currently working on an IkeSen longfic (working title: Winter Flower; aside from random drabbles and headcanons; on the topic of headcanons, I think I have an interesting Magic AU idea for Leon, Clavis and Chevalier -- I'm not sure whether to write it down, though; I think I also figured out a possible drabble plot for Kanetsugu, but same as before -- I'm not sure whether to write it down). I'm also outlining an IkePri longfic (working title: Viva! Seeks Revenge).

Strictly writing-wise, I got together with some friends, and if all goes well, we'll be organising a small writers-for-writers event :) I'd say we have a very solid base in place already, so I'm fairly hopeful.

Fandom-community-wise, I and my friends started to tinker with another edition of @flash-exchange. We've just greenlighted some idea blurbs, now to just execute them.

And then there are some more so offline projects:

sweater no. 1 (although it's mostly my mom's work, I'm just sewing it all together and providing some finishing touches),

cardigan no. 1 (crocheting; this will take me a while to get done),

skirt project (I've sketched it out, and figured out how the pattern pieces should come together -- I hope it works as intended, because then I wouldn't have to worry this much about losing/gaining weight in the future. Now I just need to draft it, and then I can cut it all out and get to sewing; I have this gooorgeous emerald green linen, but I'm not sure whether it'll have the right drape for this...),

sweater no. 2 (so far sketched out; I fear starting more than one knitting project at a time now, haha).

And then there are a couple other things, that are just in an idea stage, or aren't all that interesting to talk about.

Lots of words, all of which could be summed up with "it doesn't feel like there's particularly much going on now", haha.

you where just chilling in his armchair and doodling him when sleep over took you and fell asleep

being the gentleman he is he picked you up and set you down on his bed tucking you in nicely

then he noticed your sketchbook on the armchair

not even mr. Perfect-guy can resist tacking a little peek at it

so  he just looked at the page that was already open

an there he saw a pretty good drawing of him

Comte to his brain: take a peek you said. it will be fine you said. why are you looking through it. you said.

yup he ended up going through your entire sketchbook

he then wrote a little thank you next to your most recent drawing and set it next to you.

when you saw his little note you blushed, but at least he liked it

you got a bit hungry so you left to get a snack but you accidentally left your notebook there

you know this guy has a thirst for knowledge and that includes figuring out what’s in your notebook

he will pick it up and flip it open expecting to see notes or random drawings

so when you left your notebook in his bedroom after bringing him breakfast he couldn’t resist the urge to take a peek

when he sees a bunch of drawing of him he’s..torn

on one hand he’s moved and is actually happy that you drew him on the other he doesn’t understand why you would want to draw someone as impure as him akgkgakgskgfau LOVE HIM PLS

when you come back into the room you panic a little ‘cause he’s staring at it with a blank expression

but then he apologizes and your panic melt away

he ask you why you drew him and you if play the “because I love you” card he will be shocked and happy and confused and surprised...( the list is so long A decided it would be best to just ad an etc. over here)

you hug him and reassure him he is important and you love him

ok so he knew that the sketchbook was important to you right of the bat

being the annoying sweet person he is he decides to pester you more then ever

“ Whatcha got there Luv?” “It’s my notebook” “Can I see what’s inside” *flashes a severely annoyed look* “Arthur this is the 7th time today and i have the same answer. No.” “ Oh come on doll it’s just a peak” “It is closed for a REASON!”

Yeah you might have snapped at him a little but his ho guy ain’t giving up

so of coarse when you leave your notebook in his room he will act like he didn’t notice until you leave and then he will scramble out of his chair and nab the notebook

he opens it expecting a diary or just a bunch of notes only to come face to face with a bunch of pictures of him

he’ll raise an eyebrow and keep looking until he finds a very beautiful and realistic drawing of him sleeping with Vic and he looses his shit

he’ll run to you and pull you back into the room to cuddle and tell you how much he loves you no he’s definitely not crying

you don’t get what’s happening until he tells you he saw your drawing and you will turn slightly pink but honestly you just can’t be mad

Mozart

ok so we all know that when he finds this notebook he’ll be stone-faced  

you ain’t getting no type of emotion out of this tsuntsun

that is until he’s in public

once he’s in his room oh boy

at first it’s just a hint of a smile, but it gets bigger and bigger until he’s smiling like a dork as he inspects your drawings

he’ll never admit it but the fact that you drew him really warmed his icy heart

he even finds one where he’s by a Christmas tree smiling and a little note next to it saying “I’ll make him smile like this one day”

he closes the book and puts on his stone face again and leaves his room

in the corridor he runs into you

“ Hey, Wolf?” “What do you want.” “Isn’t that my notebook?” “Yes it is.” “So why do you have it?” “....Inspiration.”

yup now he has that notebook with him on the piano and only let’s you get it back if you want to doddle in it some more

you where cooking in the kitchen, whipping up some pancakes for the brothers

Theo came in to complain that there wasn’t enough syrup on his pancake and you flashed him a death glare and told him to get some from the cupboard

as he grumbles to himself h notices your sketchbook  on the counter

and he proceeds to open it and go through it

he sees a bunch of pretty decent drawings of him and he’s surprised

he’ll act all tough but he’s really happy

“ Oi, Hondjie! What is this?” he shows you your most recent sketch. The one where he’s walking King with a faint smile on his lips.

you instantly go bright red

“ Put that down! You where not supposed to see that! There not good just put it down”

he’ll sigh and pull you into a hug

“ I like it”

Vincent

and he opened it up and saw a punch of sketches of him

they even had notes like “uhh stop moving you hand” or “how can someone be this pure”

funny how he can’t remember your name but can remember exactly were you hide the sketchbook when you can’t take it with you

yup this guy just went and took it

he has no shame

he flicked trough it and smiled to himself

the drawings where adorable and funny and he loved it

you strait up walk in on him with the sketchbook and he just smiled at you

you turn pink trying to explain why you drew them

buuuut he just twirls you around and pules you into his lap smiling and you go over the drawing together recalling happy memories

you went out to get groceries and he was cleaning up around the mansion

you had left your notebook tucked behind one of the library shelves and as he was dusting he found it

he opened it not knowing it was your notebook

he realized soon enough though

he just starred at the pages full of drawings of him

you waked in and he just calmly put the notebook down

he asks why you drew him and you turn pink

as you try to formulate a coherent response he sighs and makes his way to you

he gently flicks your forehead and smiles

“I never said I didn’t like them”

you hang out a lot at his villa

usually you are accompanied by Vincent

but today he remembered he had a painting to finish and left

you offered to walk him to the gate and he gladly accepted

however you forgot your sketchbook on the dining table

William instantly noticed this and couldn’t help but take a peek

Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleon was surprised at first. From his time, the only ones wearing masculine clothing and having hair as short as yours were, well, males.

There were times where you’d catch him staring at you, only for him to apologise, giving you a brilliant smile.

He understands the practicality of it all. The infamous emperor and military leader should know.

He gets used to it after a while, though. After getting comfortable with the man, you’d play a cheeky little game of stealing each other’s clothes.

The other residents are already used to seeing you sport a button-down a few sizes too big, or Napoleon wearing one that looks just about ready to rip. 

“Nunuche, can I have your shirt?” It’s a few sizes too small, leading you to ask the question why.

He looks away, clearing his throat in an attempt to hide his growing blush. “Just ‘cause.” He’ll never admit that it’s because it smells like you.

Arthur Conan Doyle

Arthur wouldn’t mind your hair or your choice of clothing — a flirt is a flirt, after all.

The length doesn’t matter; his habit of playing with hair will remain. Besides, it gives him more access to your neck for some, ah, fun times.

At times, you’d go back to your room to find a few, nice pieces of clothing laid on your bed.

They’re from none other than Arthur. You wonder how he knows all your favorites, but then find your own thought silly because he is, after all, the famed author of Sherlock Holmes.

Once, you walked into his room to gather some linen, only to walk into a half-naked writer with his back towards the door. 

“Care to join me?” He asks, then turns back to face your wide-eyed form.

He blinks. You blink. He smirks. “My, for a second there, I thought you were dear old ‘Leon at first. Aren’t you glad I’m wrong, dove?” His teasing is as horrible as ever.

Theodorus van Gogh

The first time Theo sees you, he looks you up and down for a solid few seconds, then returns to whatever he was doing or wherever he was going.

He could care less what you do to your hair or what clothes you wear, in all honesty.

You’d learn from Sebastian that he’s actually quite jealous of your hair since his own was way too messy for his own good.

Cue you two slipping into a normal barbershop date routine once in a while. He’d never forget to treat you to lunch, or some drinks, or in general.

“Theo, what are you doing in front of my room?” You ask one day as you’re walking down the hall.

“It’s nothing!” He snaps, turning almost fast enough for your eyes to miss the pile of clothes in his hands. Then, he stops, mumbling, “Stop complaining about not having enough clothes. It’s annoying to listen to.”

The man leaves, but not before shoving the pile of clothes into your arms. All you can do is smile.

Vincent van Gogh

Though he isn’t used to your masculine look, Vincent will be very supportive and will compliment you 24/7, if he doesn’t already.

Once, he left his sketches unattended, and you were surprised to see little doodles and drawings of you in there. It was adorable.

He enjoys running his hands through your hair, and the disappointment in his eyes every time his fingers leave your hair too soon is quite amusing. 

If you voiced your thoughts on wanting new clothes, he’d be over in an instant, inviting you into town to help you shop and to spend time with you.

On another day at the manor, you awake to pounding on your door. Opening it, you find Theo standing tall, arms crossed and a scowl on his face. “What have you done to my brother?”

Dragging you to the living room, you find Vincent there, in clothes quite different from his usual, though quite similar to your own.

“... Why are you dressed like me, Vincent?” His blush is positively adorable. “I, uh, found you—it.. Interesting…” He’s whipped.

Dazai Osamu

The first time you meet, he stares at you for an uncanny amount of time, causing you to feel slightly insecure. He smiles and leaves, and only then do you realise that he is literally in a kimono-styled getup.

You feel slightly more comfortable with the eccentric man due to this. And due to the fact that he has taken a liking to patting you on the head in passing, or at random times.

He’s also very curious about your clothes. You’d walk into your room only to scream at an intruding Dazai, his eyes sweeping over your closet.

Most of the time, he asks where they come from, or why you like them, or even the weirdest questions, like why it has to be white and not black.

“And where might this lovely, white top come from, Saya-chan?” 

You’ve gotten used to him breaking into your room at this point so, continuing your cleaning, you reply simply, “Sebastian.”

Your back is turned to him, so you’re unable to see him blink, his lips pursed into a straight line. Then, he laughs, eyes closed. “If you must borrow clothes from someone, I suggest my closet, dear.” Jealousy comes quite easy to this man.

They Realise They Love You

When he realises that he loves you, he’d be stunned - like - no, love isn’t something he should be able to feel, nor should he allow himself something like that.

I mean?

He’s a villain?

The Boss is after him, he could die at any moment, so having a proper love life wouldn’t be something he could have...Right?

But he can’t help how the wheels of fate turn, and now he just sits in bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking over and over at his crush.

Her hair looked so nicely today, shining under the Sun. He only wishes he could have played with it.

The smile you had that day, admiring some random flowers. He only wishes he could have picked them up and gifted them to you.

The playful spark in your e/c eyes that shined like gems. He only wishes you’d look at him with the same spark.

Risotto was head over heels with you, with the little things that made you - You.

The problem was that he had no idea how to act on it without endangering you somehow.

You were too good for him, and an Angel like you shouldn’t be around a Devil like him...

But despite what his conscience preaches him all the time, he won’t be able to stop himself from spending more time around you, even though he’d be too awkward to actually say something, until you begin the conversation.

As well as that, he’d leave cute little gifts at your doorstep, signing them as “Metallica”, letting you know that he’s always thinking of you, and at least until he sets his mind straight to actually ask you out, he will continue with the little gestures.

Also, he loves kissing your temple - Gods, he feels like a school boy with an innocent crush on that cute and kind girl in his class, but he can’t help it!

Bruno Buccellati

This soft mum isn’t a stranger to love, but even so, at first, he was sure that he loved you just as much as he loves his team mates - Like a family.

Problem is, sure, he loved you like family, only if he was the Dad and you were the Mum in this Family.

It took a bit of nudging from Abbacchio for him to actually realise and act accordingly to his true feelings, but it’s sure to say he didn’t regret it.

While yes, he is the Capo and he has a lot of responsibilities, both with his team, the organisation and within the city, he will always make sure to have spare time for you, to spend quality time together, to take you out on a nice date and so on.

A nice date doesn’t have to mean something fancy, but it can range from a walk on the sandy beach, hand in hand, barefoot, while playing in the water, a cute dinner at the restaurant he’s always at, cuddling together while watching a movie, or even being the best parents and taking care of the Kids...Uhm, his Team, I mean.

If there’s one thing he absolutely adores to do, it’s to hug you while you read together - It’s one way to actually be able to de-stress and put away all the Gang-Star problems, and truly be with you, heart, mind and soul.

He would also love to take you to places with beautiful landscapes and take tons of pictures of you, or both of you together, that he would later develop and either frame, or put in very cute couple albums.

Giorno is the most innocent one out of these guys, and while yes, he knows that he has a crush, he’s also pretty shy in acting towards his feelings.

He can feel his heart racing around you like never before, and his face gets a tint rosier, despite how composed he is, there will still be tints of obvious flustering that Bruno and Abbacchio always seem to catch faster than anyone else.

Abbacchio is always more staright-forward, but Bruno actually pulls Giorno aside and gives him some nice tips and advice on how to deal with everything, and thankfully enough, it’s actually helpful.

Something he loves to do is create flowers with Gold Experience and give them to you, when you least expect.

Bonus points if you let him put the flower in his hair, he will outright melt.

His heart is so soft and damaged, he’s honestly afraid that it will break more and will have no way to mend it even by a little bit.

Honestly, if you praise him, you can literally see  ‘Abbacchio.exe  stopped working’  written on his forehead, because he will go mind-blank and have no idea how to react.

His team mates will make so much fun of him, but he’ll be lost in his own world, trying to decipher your intentions and words, if they were genuine or not.

All it takes is for you to have him alone one night and hug him tightly, praising him, and he will break down.

If he allowed himself to break down like that, than definitely he sees something in you.

From then on, he will let you listen to music with him, will make you personalised mixtapes for different occasions.

He won’t say it, but he loves having his arm around you when going out. It makes him feel like he won’t lose you like he lost his partner a while ago, and that you are safe with him.

Rohan would invite you over for tea very often, just chilling together and nobody to annoy you.

Well, apart from Koichi who would randomly stumble in Kishibe’s home and would find you two chatting casually, laughing and smiling at each other.

Rohan would take you out on dates as often as possible, under the pretext that he wants to find inspiration for his manga, but it’s pretty obvious that he just wants to spend time with you.

He will kiss your face a lotttt, especially your nose and forehead since he thinks you make the cutest expressions when he does so.

Also, your giggles are so cute, he just can’t help himself not to vibe.

He will invite you to dance nights a lot, just to have an excuse to walk with you at night, when nobody could bother you, and just enjoy each other’s presence while also being able to admire the stars.

This boy is rather shy, compared to everyone else, so while he won’t be so upfront with his crush on you, he will definitely want to find pretexts to spend time with you.

When bored, he would stand under a tree, relaxing, watching the clouds pass by, and when he feels THE vibe, he would whip out his notebook and would smile as he sketches you absent-minded.

He would be so attracted to your kindness and your nurturing personality, that he would find himself gravitating around you without even wanting to (but he definitely does want to).

Since he’s a bit shy, I could imagine him slipping cute little letters in your locker and just chatting through letters with you that way, until he feels brave enough to actually have a proper conversation with you without feeling awkward.

Kakyoin is a huge gamer, so if you’d like to watch him play, or more, if you wanted to play with him, his heart would burst from happiness like never before.

If you didn’t know how to play, he’d be incredibly patient and would teach you every little trick in the game.

If you do know how to play, however, he’d make sure to choose only co-op games because he’s not actually that competitive and he wouldn’t want either of you to feel bad if you or him lost.

If you, by any chance possible, decide to wear something with cherry themes, like a shirt with cherries, a hair clip, a necklace, or even better, matching earrings with him, he’d honestly die, like damn, that’s my girl, we are now Cherry Boy and Cherry Girl.

He’d be so loving and would dote on you a hella lot, just because he loves you so much and wants you to be happy no matter what.

Makoto Naegi as the SHSL Swimmer

He could spend hours in a pool of water just letting his mind wander as his body feels the cool pool sensations.

One day, when he was out on the beach with his family, he spotted what looked like a dolphin in distress and far out into the open waters.

Without thinking, he immediately swam towards the creature and brought her to the beach to have her wounds fixed.

He earned quite a bit of noteriety for that.

He’s the shortest member of his swim team and has been playfully teased for it.

During the summer, he often serves as a lifeguard assistant.

Chihiro Fujisaki as the SHSL Lucky Student

Their luck made it difficult for them to interact with others in social situations.

When their luck causes bad things to happen, it usually results in Chihiro being involved in a given accident making them come off as a bad omen.

When their luck causes good things to happen, they find themselves getting attention from the media and eager crowds.

Chihiro’s constantly changing luck is a prime factor for their timid and frailness.

They put alot of time in researching different forms of luck and rituals in an attempt to change their luck to their preferences.

They’ve picked up a variety of good luck charms and have a tendency of performing superstitious rituals whenever they’re about to do something.

Chihiro is also willing to give those charms to their friends (like Mondo when it comes to big games). 

Touko Fukawa as the SHSL Programmer

Not wanting to be involved with her abusive family, Touko spent her whole time on the computer.

She familiarized herself with the complex workings of the computer and how to make her own programs.

Her specialty is being able to create anti-virus software that can detect and report potential hackers while maintaining a clean software system that can last for decades.

She hates it when people ask her if she can make video games as she believes them to be stupid and not worth her effort.

She enjoys venting her frustrations on message and forum boards by provoking others with her comments.

Syo still exists in this AU because of the abuse and managed to pick up on her original self’s programming skills.

Whenever Syo takes over, she manages to hack security programs and bank accounts as a means of taking revenge against unlucky kids who hurt her or her gloomy self.

She managed to frame them for crimes they didn’t commit, summoned gang members to tear down their homes, and have illegal commodities shipped to them.

Her username is Geno-Zdr50 and after her crimes were revealed, she was given the title of SHSL Hacker.

Celestia Ludenberg as the SHSL Author

She earned recognition for bringing back the gothic-romanticism genre.

Alot of her stories feature tales of romance and tragedy between elegant ladies and their supernatural/undead suitors.

Her wardrobe is similar to her original outfit only with a longer dress and she wears a black veil with red roses.

She claims to have been involved in multiple relationships with different men who provided her with an interesting romantic experience.

Celestia has a strong dislike for tropes and cliches and tries desperately to ensure that her stories avoid them.

The last thing she wants to be considered is a run of the mill author by some half-witted review articles.

Leon Kuwata as the SHSL Gambler

His main attire consists of a red collared shirt, black jeans and shades.

He doesn’t win every game because of his lazy attitude and his tendency to panic whenever things don’t go right for him.

Leon got the title by winning a few big competition games involving blackjack.

He prefers to use slot machines since they make it less hard for him to showcase his skills.

One of his tricks is by flirting with the waitresses or servers and convincing them to give them tips on what the dealers are like.

He often ropes Yasuhiro and Hifumi into joining him whenever he goes gambling believing that their eccentric personalities will boost his chances.

Mondo Oowada as the SHSL Baseball Player

He got into baseball because of his brother who was already a professional player.

Mondo’s has multiple baseball uniforms because of how often he tears or smears them.

He managed to convince some of his friends, who were close to becoming involved in gangs, to join him.

When he started playing, Mondo had a fierce temper and would pick fights against other unruly baseball players which would leave the two of them with bruises and black eyes.

Daiya decided to step in and offer his personalized training sessions to help Mondo before he ruined his career.

By channeling his frustrations into body improvement training and hitting the ball, Mondo was able to get a better control of his temper.

Although there have been cases where the baseballs he swings out of the stadiums end up causing massive damage in random streets.

Mukuro Ikusaba as the SHSL Gang Leader

Just like in canon, she ended up leaving her family to visit a country that was torn apart by war.

But rather than joining Fenrir, Mukuro ended up in the presence of orphans and street rats who lost their families to war.

She managed to convince them to join her in fighting back against the invading soldiers.

Using effective planning and improvised training, she was able to create her own army of resistance fighters who could take on any adult soldier.

They would be known as the Walking Corpses.

She instilled an anti-empathy principle onto her fighters so that they would feel no sorrow or despair for the loss of an ally.

Sakura Oogami as the SHSL Soldier

At an early age, she was recruited by the Japanese government to partake in a program designed to train soldiers.

She was scouted because of her family’s reputation as powerful fighters.

For years, she endured brutal training against a variety of fighters who were three times her age and with no heart in them.

She performed multiple reconnaissance missions which involved rescuing fellow soldiers from enemy territories while also taking down guerilla fighters.

While she won’t say it out loud, Sakura does have sympathy for the guerilla fighters and soldiers who are trying to protect their homeland.

Sakura prefers to use her body to fight, but she knows how to use different guns and weapons.

She actually faced Mukuro and her Corpses once. While her subordinates were easy to apprehend, the Lead Corpse was much more resilient and they ended up in a draw.

To this day, she has yet to take the life of an innocent.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru as the SHSL Fighter

Wanting to uphold the proud name of the Ishimaru Family, Kiyotaka devoted himself to learning martial arts.

While he has studied multiple forms of martial arts, his preferred combat forms are karate, judo and taekwondo.

He has a fanbase of girls who found him to be quite attractive thanks to his handsome physique and his cool profession.

He’s actually very flustered by their attention and tries desperately not to fraternize with dates as they would interfere with his training.

Kiyotaka is always shown wearing a white gi for a uniform and is often barefooted. He claims this is to build endurance. 

Byakuya Togami as the SHSL Public Morals Officer

He runs a tight shift in ensuring that his academy’s rules and regulations are followed by every student.

Byakuya also made a secret group of student officers who would keep an eye on any rule breakers and would report their findings to him.

His punishments range from extra homework to having to clean the entire school during weekends or fun holidays.

He decided to expand his power by influencing different academies using his moral code and conduct.

He’s also openly criticized multiple schools that were lackluster when it came to discipline and how they organized their education system.

With his influence as a Togami, a majority of elite academies in Japan incorporate his strict moral code.

Junko Enoshima as the SHSL Heir

She was born to a wealthy family that specialized in marketing.

At an early age, Junko learned the basics of managing businesses and how to treat employees under her thumb

Her upbringing upheld morals that encouraged her to be as ruthless and tactile when dealing with enemy companies or unruly subjects

She enjoys manipulating stocks and employees as a means of brutally taking down business rivals

Junko also has connections to underground agents that can bring her dirt about her competitors while also assigning them to sabotage their own enterprises.

Kyoko Kirigiri as the SHSL Fashion Model

She undergoes extensive workouts and health routines to maintain a physically fit and beautiful appearance.

Her main styles are based on classic punk while incorporating different concepts of violet.

Sometimes she gives pointers and tips to her model colleagues before a big event but she’ll still be cold and serious when it’s time to perform or showcase her works.

She’s always wearing gloves and there are tons of rumors as to what she’s hiding under her hands.

Kyoko knows how to speak French and English since she often travels to France and the US for modeling events.

Her father is a fashion designer but she stopped modeling his works due to creative differences. 

In her free time, she likes to sketch different designs. Yasuhiro has even asked her for help with creating new characters.

Hifumi Yamada as the SHSL Detective

He wears a classic trench coat and a fiddler hat

He cites Detective Conan as his main inspiration for his career and how to approach his cases

When interrogating potential suspects, he often uses bizarre or outlandish questions in order to make them lose their defenses.

Alot of his cases involve finding lost children or recovering stolen money and valuables

Despite taking on many cases, he has yet to be involved with anything murder related.

He secretly wishes for a detective rival so the cases can be more exciting and that he can be pushed to be a greater detective. 

Yasuhiro Hagakure as the SHSL Doujinshi Author

He grew up loving shonen anime with fantasy settings like Inuyasha or YuYu Hakusho.

His mom helped him in perfecting his writing and drawing skills and later with helping distribute his works.

Yasuhiro didn’t flunk like in canon, but his grades were pretty low since most of his time was spent daydreaming about potential storylines followed by him drawing them out.

The kids at his school were very impressed with his drawings, especially since they were based on their favorite shows.

He became very popular throughout his middle and high school years.

Despite his fandom, there were very few people whom he could call friends since most of them didn’t love the different layers and symbolism of the anime shows the same way he did.

Sometimes when inspired, he’ll pull out drawing supplies and paper from his dreadlocks.

Yasuhiro dreams of making his own anime/manga featuring a (totally not a self insert) protagonist who goes on ghost hunting adventures alongside his magic pet chicken.

Sayaka Maizono as the SHSL Fortune Teller

She dresses up as a carnival themed fortune teller.

Her stage name is the “Fairy of the Moon”. 

She prefers to predict happy and positive things in order to build a good reputation among the public.

When something bad is about to happen, like a fight or an accident, she notices things in extra detail that hint towards the upcoming event. (Like in the Final Destination series)

Sayaka has made several TV appearances where she would make open predictions about a fellow celebrity.

Having been acquainted with Aoi during her appearances, Sayaka often gives warnings to the idol about potential attackers.

Aoi Asahina as the SHSL Idol

While she’s a great singer, she has a hard time with writing her own songs. So she lets her group write them.

Her preferred songs contain messages of friendship and how bonds are important between people.

Aoi pulls off incredible dance movements throughout her performances that many idols have a hard time pulling off.

She has a close friendship with her idol group and considers them as her second family.

Aoi has also sparked controversy for openly supporting idols who defy the harmful expectations of their managers/corporate groups with their choices.

Her opinions on the matter have earned her an equal amount of fans and enemies. 

She has a harder time eating her precious donuts since her manager frequently discourages her from eating unnecessary sweets.

💫 Name some artists who influence your style!

So for my normal sketching/watercolor style, I’d say I’m actually not sure what my style is right now, and it’s beginning to concern me, but as long as I keep drawing maybe one will surface in a million years. I’ve followed @/loish and @/viria for a very long time; also on Insta I’ve followed Cyarine, Sara Tepes, Qinni (Rest in Peace 💛), Danica Sills, n1mh, Jacqueline de Leon, and Mioree for style. Some of my random ultimate favs include bwusagi, Pete Mohrbacher, Norman Rockwell, and... uh... Zdzisław Beksiński, surprisingly, even though whatever I draw isn’t directly influenced by them. Lately I’ve really been loving @/cranity.

My realism portraits of BoB characters don’t really display substantial stylistic quirks. They’re like practice in learning about human face anatomy, and I don’t think I can name anyone in particular who I’ve been inspired by other than @/luluxa. The portraits help me to draw people well on my own, though. 

Wow, that was long. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but I’m moving on.

🐠 Where do you get inspiration?

Literally anywhere. Rarely I get things in dreams, like this monstrosity. Other times it’s because I’m scrolling through other people’s art. Sometimes it’s nature, sometimes it’s prompts. I’ve mostly been doing fanart lately so that requires a little less inspiration.

📎 What are your workspace essentials?

Usually I have La Croix or tea or something, lip balm, lots of daylight, and music. For traditional art I have a pencil, eraser, sketchbook, watercolors, ruler, compass (for circles), brushes, water, and a paper towel. Maybe a marker or two / colored pencils in lieu of all the paint stuff. For digital, I just have my Wacom tablet and Krita.

With the exception of season 1, I think that the show doesn’t go awfully deep into the actual physical dynamic of having Amy being the only woman on Selina’s staff. Like, I feel like so many of the tampon and menstruation jokes given to Gary could have done more if given to Amy to establish their relationship. Kinda focusing on menstruation so I’d love to hear what you have to say but if you have more to say in the same general sphere I’d love to hear as well.

This is a very astute question, Anon. First things first, let’s not forget Sue! Sue is also a woman on Selina’s team! (although her relationship with Selina is not nearly as intimate as Amy’s, so I understand why the question isn’t about Sue.)  Also, I’m really thinking of S1-S4 in my response here…the gender dynamics of S5-S7 are a separate (and far more monstrous and less nuanced) thing entirely. 

In general, I would say that the reason that Gary gets the jokes about menstruation and make-up and Selina’s general physical needs is to demonstrate to the audience that those aspects of Selina’s experience as a woman are “professionalized.” In order to do her job as the Vice President, Selina’s personal needs, like menstruation, eating regularly, looking well-groomed, and feeling awake, have to be dealt with equally seriously as writing press releases and developing policy. It’s important enough that it has to be someone’s entire job—Gary’s job. Selina can’t afford to be all hush-hush with the only two women on her staff when she gets her period. Someone has to be prepared for it. And while that’s not in the job description of the chief of staff (Amy) or the executive secretary (Sue), it is the job description of a politician’s body man. 

I don’t know very much about the role of the body man in politics, unfortunately…most of what I do know is gleaned from The West Wing and Veep, which aren’t exactly “real” sources. I would love to know if Hillary Clinton had a male or female body man…for one, it does seem like the job requires a lot of carrying things. In general, I think the physical dimensions of politics tend to be examined less in popular culture. There’s a reason why campaign staff have to seriously respect the interests and wishes of a candidate’s spouse, even if they disagree or think that person is a nightmare…because hardly anyone else has that kind of physical access to the candidate. This is why Selina had to be unmarried in Veep…if she and Andrew were unhappy but had remained together for appearance’s sake in some sort of Clinton arrangement, he would still have a kind of access to her that would complicate Selina’s relationship with her team. For Veep to really work as a show, with Selina’s particular psychology, her team—and above all, Gary—need to be the people in closest physical proximity to her.

So, in short, the reason that a lot of jokes about Selina’s physical needs and experiences in the world went to Gary is because the writers were trying to explore the realities of Gary’s job. Plus, Selina and Gary's relationship is the interpersonal connection that is arguably at the heart of the show, and their physical closeness and constant proximity to one another is a huge part of what links them together. (And the writers also wanted to poke fun at/critique the fact that because Selina is a woman, her body man has to deal with things like tampons and lipstick, and in the eyes of most men, such as Dan, that somehow makes Gary less masculine.)

Also, the idea that Selina and Gary first encountered each other at the hospital where Selina delivered Catherine is patently ridiculous. Like, did Selina really insist on taking the random candy-striper guy home with her after that?! Did she just start paying him as her private…attendant? She hasn’t even run for Congress yet! None of the internal logic of the final two seasons of Veep makes any sense.

I do very much agree that the show never really does anything with the reality that both Selina and Amy are comparatively diminutive women and they’re constantly surrounded by a bunch of a very tall men who could theoretically inflict personal harm on either of them at any damn time. The show played with Timothy Simons’s height quite a lot, in a variety of different ways, as well as the height differential between Reid Scott and Anna Chlumsky, but their smallness compared to all the men around them is never something that actually links Selina and Amy together. Their connection is sketched out in terms of emotion, not their shared physical experiences. Certainly, Selina is very physically touchy-feely with Amy in a way she can’t be with Dan or Mike, which reinforces how close they are. However, the physical realities of being women in a man’s world do not seem to be part of what draws them together, at least in the way the show presents their relationship. 

For example, we never see S1-S4 Selina “look out” for Amy when it comes to the male politicians and staffers she encounters. In the very first episode, she’s totally fine with using Amy as bait to get Jonah to surrender the condolence card. She never tells Jonah (or Dan, for that matter) to back off Amy, she never says “be careful” whenever Amy has to meet with a man alone. We know Selina has been sexually assaulted before, and yet, even in the early seasons of the show, she’s never worried that something like that might happen to Amy. Nor does Amy ever reach out to Selina to ask for guidance or support when it comes to dealing with men. We never see them talk about how much it sucks to wear heels all day. In general, it seems their relationship is not explicitly grounded in the fact that they have similar experiences of inhabiting (attractive) female bodies in the world. (And then in the Mandel years, Selina does things like actively endanger Amy by trying to sell her to Leon, so….a different issue entirely.) 

The closest I think we get is the miscarriage plotline in S1, where Selina asks Amy to fake a miscarriage for her, which is obviously a very gendered gesture that she can only ask a woman. And the subtext of Amy’s attempts to soothe Selina in 1.07 very much read as “I’m a woman, unlike Gary, Dan and Mike, so you can talk to me about your boyfriend if you need to.” And of course, there’s ep. 2.05, when Selina and Amy have very similar reactions to Osmo groping Selina. Still, it’s Gary who knows about the miscarriage first, and Gary who immediately finds out about the groping incident, simply through the demands of his job.

The general lack of exploration into that dimension of Selina and Amy’s experience is probably linked to the broader hesitance of the show to delve into the nuances of sexual harassmant and violence except when the plot demanded it. And I suspect there are other reasons as well…Selina’s narcissism obviously plays a huge role in how she thinks about Amy, as well as her own complicated relationship with feminism. And, not for nothing, Selina is consistently surrounded by Secret Service, and I think she is self-centered enough to assume that sort of protection would surround Amy even when she’s not physically with Selina. In other words, she might subconsciously assume that Amy is untouchable through her association with the VP’s office. I also doubt that Selina is thinking very much about what happens to Amy when Amy is not in her direct line of sight, or when she doesn’t need something from her. 

I also wonder if, by the end of S2, Selina—and probably Ben and Kent—might be taking for granted that Dan is probably with Amy wherever she is, which means she’ll be safe from any predatory men because Dan is projecting his possessive caveman vibes all over her. Most of D.C. probably assumes something is going on between Amy and Dan, which could act as a deterrent for predatory behavior as well, since some men only respect women who are “spoken for.” (Obviously, some do not.) (Men are the worst no matter what.) 

Anyway, the intersection of gender, interpersonal relationships, and workplace politics represents a really fascinating, if canonically under-examined, thread within the show. Thanks Anon!

The following people are ten notorious murderers (8 serial killers, 2 terrorists) ordered by their birthday (youngest to oldest).

I’m posting four pictures of everyone (them as kid, random picture of them, police sketch, mugshot) and a short summary of their crime.

Timothy McVeigh

*23/04/1968 †11/06/2001

Timothy James McVeigh was an American terrorist. He is responsible for the Oklahoma City Bombing. He had two accomplices (Terry Nichols, Michael Fortier). With his bomb he killed 168 people.

Richard Ramirez

*29/01/1960 †07/06/2013

Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramírez, also known as the „Night Stalker“, was an American serial killer. He killed at least 14 people. He often used different weapons and didn’t have any specific targets.

Aileen Wuornos

*29/05/1956 †09/10/2002

Aileen Carol Wuornos was an American serial killer. She probably killed 7 men in between 1989 and 1991. She is one of the most notorious female serial killers.

David Berkowitz

*01/06/1953

David Richard Berkowitz, also known as „Son of Sam“, is an American serial killer. He killed 6 people and wounded 8. Today he is an Christian.

Richard Chase

*23/05/1950 †26/12/1980

Richard Trenton Chase, also known as „The Vampire of Sacramento“, was an American serial killer. In just one month he killed 6 people. He drank the blood from some of his victims, ate body parts or had sex with their dead bodies. 

Gary Ridgway

*18/02/1949

Gary Leon Ridgway, also known as „Green River Killer“, is an American serial killer. He killed at least 49 women and girls. He killed his victims after having sex with them. He strangled them to death. Then he had sex with their dead bodies. Sometimes he came back at night and had sex with them again or mutilated their bodies.

Ted Bundy

*24/11/1946 †24/01/1989

Theodore „Ted“ Robert Bundy was an American serial killer. He raped and killed at least 28 young women and girls and cut them into pieces.  He is one of the most notorious serial killers in the history of the USA.

Dennis Rader

*09/03/1945

Dennis Lynn Rader, also known as „BTK-Killer“ (Bind, Torture, Kill) is an American serial killer. He killed at least 10 people. Most of his victims were female.

Ted Kaczynski

*22/05/1942

Theodore John „Ted“ Kaczynski, also known as the „Unabomber“ is an American terrorist. In between 1978 and 1995 he sent 16 bombs to different people in the USA. With these bombs he killed 3 people and injured 23.

Andrei Chikatilo

*16/10/1936 †14/02/1994

Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo, also known as „Butcher of Rostov“, was a Soviet serial killer. He killed at least 53 people. He often raped his female victims.

BIOGRAPHY:

Quinn Leland-Porter was born October 13th to high school sweethearts at the age of seventeen. While she wasn’t planned for, she also wasn’t unwanted. The circumstances might not have been easy or ideal but the couple made it work with the help of their parents and teachers working with them both to get them through to graduation of that senior year. After graduation it should have been smoother sailing, with her dad working in a small auto shop in their town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and her mom working opposite shifts at night at a local grocery store, ends were met, but it came with a strain on the relationship. Quinn’s mom gave up more and more every day on putting her heart and effort in raising their daughter; she grew more stressed and ached more for a freedom she felt robbed of, so the sweethearts crumbled. Quinn wasn’t even a year old when her mom left and didn’t come back, nothing more left to Quinn than her mom’s last name right alongside her dad’s like a fingerprint that was only proof that she had been there at some point. Her dad stepped up to the plate and became her hero the older that Quinn grew, ‘daddy’s girl’ to anyone who knew the little family of two. 

Q blossomed into a very charismatic and cheeky young girl who’s biggest fight in life was pulling ponytail and messy braids out of her hair and trying to fix them when her dad couldn’t get them just right. He tried his best and his lacking in knowing how to raise a little girl only gave Quinn more room to let her independence grow, so their relationship stayed strong and balanced. With her high-school years came some more extreme fights for Quinn and shows of her independence. She did well in school when she managed to make it on time and or even show up at all, when she could be pulled away from friends enough to apply herself, but truancy stacked up against her. Quinn liked mingling through crowds within her school, never one to settle down into a clique but rather meander her way from one to another to another. She knew everyone’s name and everyone knew hers; Quinn liked it that way. People were just as infectious to Quinn as she was to them and she was never lonely because she never allowed herself to be. Home life became a little more tense and turbulent when a slightly stronger show of her charming ways, and the promiscuous habits, picked up. It always an interesting morning in the house when a boy was sent scrambling out her bedroom window and out into the lawn to escape her dad. Quinn understood that her dad didn’t like the behavior but she wasn’t about to slow down and she fully expected her kisses to his cheek to soothe the tension before she went about the rest of her day.

After an extra summer spent in school, Quinn graduated and she roamed a little further from home to Memphis. She had been there plenty of times in cars full of friends, late nights spent in clubs and in motels, but this trek was different and a little more permanent in her mind. While some friends had made the move for college, Quinn made the move looking for a bigger piece of her newly attained freedom and she found it in a little voodoo-inspired tattoo parlor. While she’d always had a strong knack for free-hand sketching, she had never tried her hand with permanent ink on skin, but she was drawn to strongly to the notion. Starting out in the parlor she was only allowed to clean the shop and equipment, but soon after Quinn was allowed to draw out pieces of art people came in with and described to her for their tattoo. Her talent was seen then by the young man who owed the shop; Noah. For Quinn, it was like she could see right into the patrons’ minds and see the artwork exactly how they envisioned it, so much more vivid than any drawing could ever portray, but her hand could bring it to life on paper. She thought it more of a gift than a superpower, but maybe they were one in the same. 

When she wasn’t working in the shop, Quinn was focusing on the pleasure she found from falling into a relationship with Noah, who had finally let her place her artwork on people’s skin after months of only being allowed to draw them on paper. To the young lovers the relationship was glowing and infectious, the two rarely ever seen without smiles on their faces when they were together. It felt perfect even despite random heated fights of broken glass that seemed to only amplify the way they were drawn together like magnets disguising a beautiful train wreck. The two were destined for a different kind of wreckage. After almost four years of dating off and on again, the two were thinking further into the future and in more official ways. It started out as a playful game of Quinn asking Noah questions while they drove across the city about the things he wanted for them, only to be met with Noah’s equally playful answers of denial that they didn’t have a future at all. It had Quinn pressing further into his thoughts just to see that he was teasing her and and she smiled more every time she called Noah out on it. Over and over again Noah denied, and over and over again Quinn saw the truth in his mind that told her he wanted nothing but her. Time seemed to slow down so suddenly, a moment of Quinn scooting over to be closer to him in the front seat and his arm wrapping around her before everything was cut off by crashing metal and blinding pain.

Quinn woke up in the hospital alone the next day, save for her dad lingering close by. He wasn’t the male she was looking for, but her injuries were mostly minor. Aside from wounds from broken glass, it was her heart that hurt the most when she learned they’d been struck on the driver’s side and that Noah had been killed on impact. Quinn’s mind went right back to the moments leading up to the accident and she remembered the game, she remembered the images she’d walked in on in Noah’s mind of the future they wanted, and with that came immense pain. Panic ensued and guilt took over. Quinn’s moods snapped and she pleaded, insisted, telling doctors what she’d done, that she was to blame, that she’d distracted him from driving, right down to the way she’d entered his thoughts. It was waved off as the girl being in a stage of grief and shock but Quinn was persistent and quickly became volatile at not being believed. She was the reason he was dead and she needed to be heard, she had to be held responsible for something that could be seen as nothing short of being entirely her fault. 

Quinn was placed on suicide watch when she started refusing the treatments for her recovery and instead went against her own recovery by ripping out the stitches on the inside of her forearm, a growing anger and desperation to be heard. She was admitted to Crestwyn in Memphis for inpatient treatment, allowed phone calls to her dad but only insisted to him that she was fine. With the people around her however, Quinn continued to fight them on what she believed she was responsible for, taking every opportunity that she could to walk into the minds of counselors and other residents to prove what she was capable of. It was eighteen weeks of what felt like a war-zone to Quinn before she calmed and tired enough to be released, but where they wouldn’t keep her, Quinn built her own prison for herself in her head.  Looking at Quinn people wouldn’t realize she’s had anything but a happy life, and that’s because to Quinn, and despite the loss of Noah, she has had a happy life, or at the very least, she’s had a life worth living. Her natural charismatic and sociable antics returned in full-force and was right back to the girl walking with charge in her step and meandering her way from one crowd to the next, taking names and leaving hers behind as she moves about.

I watched all of the videos for this week’s assignment by Shiffman, tried to re-collect the knowledge digested in the past few weeks and experimented with inputting values from some examples (in which I got the movement seen in the gifs, that I actually quite enjoyed...)

Yet, I wanted to write code from scratch... possibly lego-building it but without copy&pasting and without beginning from an example. ICMadness proved very difficult for me... I blanked out several times and even though I knew what was possible to write in the code, the syntax was beyond me; especially under those time constraints... I told myself that this week I would attempt to use the oscillator.p5 function from the sound library to delve into un-explored territory (as I have implemented video into some of my sketches recently), use images in order to understand arrays better & write code from scratch.

I tried playing around again with the CurveVertex() function that I had been taught weeks ago by Oren for a prankster sketch I made of my friend’s face. And began with this imagery:

I am defeated as I have spent long hours attempting to write out a function that would permit something seemingly simple in the sketch I wanted to create & did not succeed at what I wished to make, for the moment.
[What I wanted to happen was to allow a user to hover above the collage of wood images and bring to life zoomed pictures of “creatures” on this floor.. ! I always imagine this and hoped to create random oscillation at the moments in which the zoomed images would appear in order to make them somehow come alive....`]  Initially I had a series of if statements that governed the hovering of the mouse over specific parts of the canvas; it took me a long time to figure out myself how to write the images into an array to pair with the array of invisible rectangles that would play as the hover spaces. I went to the help session, Leon helped me to make my code more elegant and to solidify my knowledge of making arrays work together by adding the ImagePaths string to my code, as well as teaching me about how to take advantage of an offset...(I will share my code that has a lot of evidence of----process-----). 
 At this point, I needed to mess around with the wave forms; after spending so much time with these arrays, I tried putting the frequency values or amplitude values into an array in countless manners to match the succession of images on the canvas ( I was also really beginning to hate my idea and this sketch, and I still think I do)....I reluctantly opted to forget about making another array for the waves etc. and to just make another series of individual if statements (I think I should get IF tattooed on my head) to make it so that if the mouse hovered over a specific part of the collage, the image would appear (following the mouse) and the freq() and amp() would change. The oscillator.p5 was acting real funny. I would start() it in the setup (and as I am writing this I am thinking- maybe just maybe I should start it directly in the draw???) and then I tried writing a function called defaultwave() in order to call it in an else after the ifs....trying to replicate some kind of oscillation between no creatures and creatures appearing on this floor/sketch/canvas/ what has this become. This is what has become of this sketch which I am not proud of at all but has most certainly helped me to sediment syntax in my head.

(I would have spent more time to alternatively upload sound effects such as animal ones into the sketch and opt to initiate those as opposed to the oscillation, but- I ran out of this wonderful precious thing). And also, I found out about this 8 - somethin’ year old child who made his own library in javascript and is wearing a github t-shirt (https://antwerpenhomeschooling.wordpress.com/2017/10/24/simon-made-his-own-speech-library-speechjs/)

and made me feel really, a lot, in awe at life and its components & people and how beautiful they are and also made me feel somewhat- I don’t know- maybe inadequate but that’s okay. (Ok- see you in class Allison, thank you for reading this if you have done up to here.)
