it took me almost a year because it’s so hard to get through oh my GODS

this is my entire stance on the "american food is bad" discourse summed up

#there are two distinct times when american food is bad #when it's people who are well off or rich enough that all they care about is appearances and how expensive the ingredients are #bcs they don't care about taste anymore it's a status thing #and also when it's stupid gentrified gimmick restaurants basically following the Cesare from Big Top Burger formula #where it doesn't matter how it tastes #it's just about it looking cool or having a gimmick so influences will come take pictures and give you tons of free advertising #that's when american food is bad #bcs rip to y'all but I grew up dirt fucking poor around other dirt fucking poor people of all races and backgrounds #and we COULD cook y'all under the table with these things #when all you have for food is hamburger helper and canned soup well damn you learn how to make it taste good #also those two bad times are NOT unique to america AT ALL #remember the Australian fish and chips that had activated charcoal and looked like actual shit?#this ain't an american problem this is a fucking rich people problem send tweet #this is also why I can't watch chopped anymore #the way they talk about ingredients like those like they're worthless and they can't believe people would eat them #like cool glad you grew up well off enough to afford real people food #the rest of us had to learn to make velveeta taste good and you know what #I could cook your ass under the table with velveeta and all those other 'cheap' ingredients you're mocking

Diluc comes across a portal that traps him in an AU where Mondstadt continued to keep their monarchy, and in that world, he is apparently the prince and next in line for the throne.

And YAY Crepus is alive as their king, but the next person to tell Diluc that he needed to sit up straight and use the correct utensils instead of whatever he felt like, he will start stabbing them with one of the 3 knives on the dinner table.

okay, I’m going full red string over the last episode. mainly because if queen amangeaux (put some goddamn respect on her name) had a child with her husband, wouldn’t that have solved all her problems? Sure, it would make her a target but the bishop was already warning her to lay low at the festival, and at least this would’ve secured her place on the throne until her child came of age. Unless she knew she was pregnant and then she decided not to say anything in trying to follow the bishop’s advice? Or she didn’t know at the time and then everything popped off. But that makes the baby at least a year and 3/4 months (if we use human pregnancy as the timeline??) and the baby read more as a newborn to me? Also in the adventuring party when they discussed the bishop’s secret, Anjali pointed out that he could’ve been poisoning her or her husband with the tea leaves to stop her from producing an heir. which could be a red herring, or could mean that the baby belongs to someone other than her husband, hence why she’s hidden him away. which would make sense since the coloring is a little different. So either the baby isn’t hers biologically and is just in her care, she had an affair while her husband was still alive, the baby is the true heir, or she got pregnant in the two year time jump.

People are so pressed about other people’s reading habits (and I will admit I used to be one of those people). Reading is a hobby, who cares what books someone reads or if they only listen to audiobooks or if they only read the same kinds of stories all the time? It’s not a competition so why are you so concerned?

#personally I try to read widely and I want the books I read to be well written but some people don’t care about that!#they just want to read fairy smut or a dark romance #or a fast paced fantasy #like you can have an issue with those books (I think it’s a shame people are being subjected to such poor writing)#but if people are enjoying them then cool #and yeah in bookshops now there is maybe one table with tiktok romance books #but then there are numerous other tables of other books #so it’s not like it’s even having that much of an impact on your shopping experience #also the tags make me seem like I’m a romance hater I’m actually not I really like a romance but it has to be good and a lot of them are not
