Eobard treating our era the same way that we treat the late 1500's and early 1600's amuses me way too much.

He would absolutely have some unexpected depth of knowledge about pop culture even before getting powers. He would know, for example, how to use the word 'meme' and 'shitpost' in a sentence correctly. He would use these words in the same way that you hear modern archeologists and anthropologists and historians talking about Shakespeare's vernacular.

I also find it interesting the fact that B/A always gets together when Betty is at her lowest. In 2x09, she was in a highly stressful situation after being stalked by the Black hood, so she kissed Archie. In 4x17, she kissed Archie after the JugDead thing, after fighting with Jug and realizing the extenct of his trauma. And now, she has sex with Archie after 7 years of repressed trauma, while she is having nightmares with a serial killer, etc. 1/2—honestly, i mean, yes. they showed us at the start of the season that archie was going through it because of his dad and not knowing what to do with his life, etc, and now archie’s been to war and betty’s been kidnapped and lying to everyone about how okay she is. i don’t know if the writers have a trauma kink or what but it’s getting painfully obvious they use this pairing as a safety net towards each other with little regard for the other’s actual feelings. 

B/A stuff always happens out of erratic behaviour and impulsive decisions, and that's not healthy relationship (or endgame, as RVD likes to say) marerial. 2/2—it’s a very weird take on their relationship. maybe they don’t want to have betty debase herself to keep archie’s attention like in the comics so they went so far to other side of that that they’ve basically gone backwards?

What triggers me the most that jughead stans are bragging about how Betty is Archie's second choice ... Like when was Archie the first choice for Betty . Hell Betty was the one who closed things with Archie after he wrote a song for her—i mean, if being someone’s high school crush that you hook up with later makes someone a first choice, boy do i have news for my husband about his place in my life. he’d be like...mumble...number on the list. like, ah yes, i know i married you and chose you but i want you to know that one guy? yeah, that one that i had a crush on in like 9th grade and finally got somewhere with years later even though we weren’t together? he’s number one in my life, baby. sorry. 

i don’t want to say all jughead stans are acting as some of the louder ones, some people just prefer who they prefer and that’s okay, but the ones calling betty a wh*re and being the very worst versions of themselves? yeah, they spend all their energy infantilizing jughead and making sure they harass people who think he’s got some responsibility for his own choices. you can’t say he doesn’t need or want betty then turn around and make everything that’s gone wrong in his life her fault years after they broke up. pick a struggle.
