katie mccabe, “are you blushing?”, any place 🫶🏻
hot in here II k.mccabe
"oh gosh its a bit much isn't it?" your mum spoke with wide eyes and a wince as your girlfriend went tumbling to the ground, up on her feet within seconds and shoving at the chest of the player who'd taken her down.
"thats it katie! get into her girl!" your dad cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted supportively as you smacked him on the shoulder. "dad! don't encourage her." you groaned, pulling him to sit back down as both katie and the other player were awarded yellows.
"mccard strikes again." you heard someone chuckle behind you, shaking your head as your dad turned around to speak with them. "she gets a lot of those is all." you explained to your mum who seemed hopelessly confused.
"wait why is there more time?" your mum frowned as they announced there would be three added minutes of injury time. "its extra time to make up for the time where the game isn't played. like if a player falls down and needs medical attention the game is paused, so this is the time added for that interruption." you explained as she exhaled in understanding.
"go on katie! rip in!" your dad shouted as your girlfriend readied herself for a throw in, catching your eye with a wink and a grin before turning and lobbing the ball towards steph. "i hope you know the more you fluff her ego the more insufferable she gets." you sighed as time ticked down.
"ah she's confident! you need confidence to be successful. she's good at what she does and she knows it, that should be encouraged!" your dad patted your knee as you only hummed. "you should try living with her then." you chuckled with a shake of your head.
"oh! theres that lovely song again." your mum beamed as katies chant started up, your dad yelling along as katie took off down the right hand side. "go on katie! go girl!" your dad boomed as suddenly she side stepped the last player in her way and hit the ball with aloud thud, sending it hurtling forward toward alessia who tapped it in widening arsenals 3-0 lead.
you grinned as your girlfriend raced past you and your parents blowing you a kiss and giving them a wave as there was barely time for villa to kick off before the final whistle blew.
"oh that was exciting. i still don't understand much but i see why you like it!" your mum pulled you into a hug making you laugh. "she appreciates you made the effort to come, but she was nervous this morning." you revealed, watching as katie did her laps thanking fans, stopping every now and then to sign something.
"katie? nervous? thats something you need to see to believe!" your dad laughed patting you on the back as you chatted away with them, introducing them to leahs mum who made her way over to say hello, all four of you speaking until you heard a familiar whistle.
"we'll be down in two seconds darling." your mum nodded for you to go as you left them with amanda and made your way down to your girlfriend.
"well aren't you a sight for sore eyes stranger." the irishwoman teased, having been away the last week visiting your parents before they returned back with you to spend the next few days in london.
"wow its been so long when was the last time i saw you? oh was it maybe...this morning in bed?" you teased, having returned last night. "i'd almost forgotten what your face looked like." you winked, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
whatever smooth one line she intended to quip back with was interrupted at the arrival of your parents, katie hopping over the barrier to greet them properly as your dad launched into a very animated recap of how well she played.
"oh and that yellow? load of horse shit you were only defending yourself!" your dad bellowed as you winced, his voice carrying far beyond your small huddle. "dad!" you hissed, katies arm wrapping around your waist as her hand grazed the small of your back in a wordless comfort.
~
"i warned you they wouldn't let you pay baby." you laughed as you and katie stepped inside your shared home, unwrapping the multitude of layers which had been keeping you protected from the bitter chill of a winter evening in london.
"i'm callin ahead next time and settin up a tab!" your girlfriend scowled, having been easily shut down by your dad who'd paid for everyone's dinner despite both you and katie trying to protest it.
"watch it mccabe, at your age you'll get frown lines and crows feet." you teased, reaching up to smooth the wrinkles from her furrowed forehead. "oi! watch it cheeky i'm only a year older than ya." the defender warned as you sent her a wink and made your way to the living room.
"my parents really enjoyed the game baby, and you certainly gave them a show to watch." you grinned, pulled into your girlfriends lap as she sank into the lounge beside you. "i'm glad they finally got to see one, we'll get em to a national game next and then they'll really see a show!" the brunette smiled wolfishly as you laughed and pressed a tender kiss to her lips.
"i think my dad might actually contend me for your biggest fan, he was going on and on and on about you long before kick off. mum said he stayed up watching a bunch of your highlights in the hotel, she had to take his phone to force him to sleep!" you laughed, a slight pink flush coating your girlfriends cheeks at your words.
"are you blushing?" you gasped, grabbing her face as she frowned and shook her head. "no! its just...warm in here. me cheeks are red from it being so cold outside!" katie dismissed with a wave as you smirked.
"you're blushingg, you're so cute baby." you cooed, pinching her cheeks mockingly and shaking her face side to side teasingly. "aih lay off! i am not and i don't blush." katie scoffed with a roll of her eyes, shoving you off of her causing you to yelp.
"we've got mccabe! who? katie mccabe! who? i just don't think you understand!" you started to cry out, standing to your feet as the footballer stared up at you unamused. "she plays out on the wing, she blushes at every little thing, we've got katie mccabe!" you sang out, squealing as she grabbed at you and pulled you down back to lay across her lap.
"did you not like the remix babe? i think it'll go down a treat at the emirates." you smirked, your girlfriend glaring down at you though you saw the usual sparks of amusement and mischief present in her eyes.
"you're bloody lucky you're so cute darlin or i'd have dropped you a long time ago." "oh god and she's a charmer too? the full package you are love, i'll try to work that into the next verse."

Birth Moment
Tumblr media
"Come on Amanda, push your baby's head out! Big hard pushing! You can do this! Let's go! Deep breath and PUSH HARD!"
Amanda was struggling with the crowning pressure between her trembling thighs. It was one enormous head! She couldn't believe she had agreed to carry and birth a Giant's offspring. The pain was completely intolerable. The super contractions accompanied with the immense stretching of her theobbing opening was more than unbearable. It was the worst pain she had ever experienced.
The father paced outside the birthing unit, desperate for news. He grabbed one of the delivery doctors as he prepared to enter her birthing OR.
"What is taking so long? Is she alright? I have heard her screams for the last hour!"
The doctor looked at him with sympathy. He told him that they were doing everything possible to deliver the baby safely.
Back in the Birthing OR, suction was being applied to the bulging head. It was stretching just behind the entrance of her folds. The birther was struggling so doctors began to suction through her agonising efforts. Amanda howled and pushed as the head fought to come forward through the narrow opening.
"Its fighting me! It won't come! Oh I have to.....have to......PUSH IT!"
A long bellowing shout echoed around the suite as the head erupted in the biggest crowning position the delivery team had ever seen.....
Amanda convulsed as her body forced down with another brutal expelling effort. The head barrelled through her with a violent explosion. She cried and pushed harder and faster. Her cries were pure agony as her full primal instincts took over. The baby kept birthing through her until the father heard the sweet sound of a healthy wailing baby!
He held his breath as staff hurried to the hall to announce the birth of his child. He smiled weakly as he enquired about Amanda.
"Weak but strong! She seemed to smile when it was out! I think she is keen to do it again very soon!" The delivery nurse looked at the Giant and gave him a wicked wink.

Stress Relief - stepdad!Rafael Barba x reader
requested by @rafaslittleboy
summary: Rafael comes home angry and frustrated with your mom, so he decides to use you to relieve some of his stress.
warnings: father/stepchild incest, fingering, inappropriate relationship
Tumblr media
Being Olivia Benson's kid had never been easy. Between angry criminals seeking revenge and never-ending cases that kept your mom away from you, you'd experienced more than your fair share of turmoil.
But even then, nothing compared to the night your mother and Rafael Barba came home and announced they'd gotten married down at the courthouse.
Somehow, taking care of Noah had always fallen on you. It didn't matter that you were working and going to school. Even though you were now in college and Noah was a bit older, you were still expected to be the responsible older sibling.
It had never been much of a secret that your mom and stepdad favored Noah over you. After all, they doted on him and told him how much they loved him all the time. You were practically invisible compared to him. Even though you were the one actually genetically related to one of them.
One night while you were doing schoolwork at the kitchen table, you were startled by the front door being flung open.
"Jeez, dad, what's wrong?" you ask, looking up at him and setting down your pencil.
"Elliot Stabler is back," Rafael grumbles, dropping his briefcase on the floor. It fell to the ground with a thud.
"I thought he was gone for good. Lizzie didn't tell me anything so she probably didn't know he was coming back, either. Poor kids," you sigh.
"Where's Noah?"
"A playdate with Amanda's girls. I'm picking him up later," you explain, looking up from your work briefly.
"Ah. Well, your mother is having a drink with Elliot. She'll be home later," Rafael spat.
"Damn. Jealous much?" you laugh, then realize it was the wrong move. You swore you saw fire rising up in Rafa's eyes as he stormed away to his and your mom's bedroom.
"Get in here, now." you hear Rafael growl from the other side of the bedroom door just a few minutes later.
A shiver runs down your spine. You were almost never allowed in your parents' bedroom. Only when you were being punished or scolded.
Even though you were in college, your parents still had absurd rules and acted like everything you did was wrong. Even though you weren't rebellious at all and spent most of your time watching your little brother.
"Dad, whatever I did, I'm sorry," you offer.
As you crack the bedroom door open, you notice your stepdad undressing himself, only his shirt, suspenders and pants remaining.
"I had a shit day and you sure aren't making it any better. Your mother and I have decided you need to learn to be more independent. I'm not even your real father, and you're not a little kid like your brother is. Grow up and stop relying on us for everything," he sighs, not even looking at you as if ashamed by your very existence.
"B-but you're the only d-dad I've ever had," you sniffle, tears welling up in your eyes.
"Stop getting emotional, don't be jealous over your brother. He didn't do anything wrong. Now get out, please. You're stressing me out," he says, rolling his eyes at you.
"What do I have to do to make you love me again? I'll do anything, please, dad."
"There's nothing you can do, I already have your mom," he states, laughing at your helpless desperation.
His words puncture your heart like a knife. He had your mom and Noah, so why were you still here? You'd always known you were useless, unloved, but now your stepdad had confirmed it.
"I can give you affection, anything you want. I-I can be better than my mom, please... please give me a chance!" you blurt, barely processing your words before you say them.
"Get out of my room. OUT!" he bellows, voice echoing through the walls. You leave, trying to preserve at least some of your dignity.
You sweep your homework off the dining table and drag it into your room. Your small, dark room. Somehow, even as the oldest, you'd gotten the worst bedroom. Of course. You flopped down on your bed and sobbed into your pillow, wishing fruitlessly for someone to make you feel wanted.
You couldn't remember when you had fallen asleep, but you hear a soft knock on your door some time later.
"Huh?" you rasp, eyes widening as your stepdad enters. Now clothed in a sweater and flannel pajama pants, he looks so much softer than before.
His sympathetic gaze fixes on you before saying, "c'mon, out of bed, sweetie."
Rafael leads you to the master bedroom once again, your mother still nowhere to be seen. Probably still out with Elliot Stabler.
"C'mon, sit in my lap. Don't worry, your dad's got you, okay? " you nod, so touch-starved as you climb onto the bed and into his lap.
"You were right earlier, we haven't been paying enough attention to you. Even big kids need love too. C'mon, cuddle with your dad," he says warmly, allowing you to climb under the blankets with him and snuggle up close to his warm body.
"I missed this," you hum, feeling his warm breath on your forehead as he wraps his arms around you.
You lean into his touch as his arm moves down your back, eventually stopping so his hand is resting on the small of your back.
Your breath hitches when you feel your stepdad's thick fingers reach down towards your underwear, gently teasing the waistband.
“Dad, w-what are you doing?” you hiss, writhing around gently to try and shake him off.
“Shh, just let me touch you, okay?”
You look at him with wide eyes, terrified at his uncharacteristic behavior.
Now, Rafael was sniffing your hair as he pressed a finger against the edge of your hole.
You tried to shake your head, or open your mouth, or do anything, but you were paralyzed with fear.
“Don’t tell your mom about this, alright kiddo?” your stepdad says with a breathy whisper as he plunges two fingers deep into your hole, nudging your pleasurable spot.
You try to muffle a shriek as your stepdad clutches your body close to his so you can’t get away. He was older and bigger than you and doesn't hesitate to exert his power over you.
The change was like night and day. You'd always considered Mr. Barba to be your own father, as he was the closest thing you had to a dad.
"Da-ad— please, please stop!" you hiss, feeling his thick fingers plunge in and out of you, working to pleasure you like he knew you deserved.
"Nuh, uh, baby. I want to apologize for neglecting you. And all this time, I've had a cute little stepchild right under my nose just waiting to be used. I'm sorry it took me so long," he says with a chuckle, like this is all some sick joke.
"I-I think I'm g-gonna—" your breath hitches and Rafael immediately knows, can feel your orgasm about to hit you.
"Mhm, just focus on my fingers, mi amor. Daddy's gonna make you feel really, really good," he coos.
You gasp and suddenly you can feel your little hole throb, trying hard to push your stepdad's fingers out. You clutch him even closer and he pulls you tight into his chest. His scent filling your nose just as his fingers were filling you.
Everything feels muddy, slow, dark. Your dad slipping his fingers out, throwing the sheets over and licking your cum out of your hole. His gentle touches, little kisses, reassuring you of his love.
He is just dressing himself in his pajamas as your mom opens the front door. You can hear your mom talking to your little brother in a babyish voice.
"Remember, not a word to your mother. It's not like she'd believe you anyways," your stepdad laughs, pushing your face away before going into the living room, acting as if he hadn't just fingered his kid to orgasm.
"They're not feeling great, I let them sleep in our bed. Thought some pampering was in order for such a good kid," Rafael says, kissing Olivia on the cheek. It's the last thing you see before you pull the covers over your head and welcome the darkness.

Submissions and Bracket Update!
Hello everyone! It has officially been one week since launching this blog and opening submissions for our first hot vintage tv stars tournament, the hot vintage tv women's bracket! We are currently sitting at 118 total submissions! With at least 79 hot vintage TV ladies submitted. So far I've managed to sort through about half of them. Because we have a decent number of submissions I am currently planning on closing submissions on Friday, April 5th. This will give everyone a few more days to get in submissions before we start our tournament. Submission have slowly been winding down each day so it seemed like giving everyone a few more days to submit their favs and then getting to work setting up the bracket would be ideal. Though, if enough people feel like we should gather more submissions first and give everyone a little more time then I'm happy to push this proposed date back. But right now with almost 80+ submissions I think that's enough to give us a satisfying and fun bracket. After Submissions close I'll take some time to finish organizing everything before polls go up for round 1. There will probably be some housekeeping things after submissions close so stay tuned. As of right now I am shooting to start round 1 sometime between April 8th - 12th depending on how long I need to get things set up behind the scenes. So stay tuned for an announcement on the exact date! One housekeeping thing before the list of current hot vintage tv lady contestants. It seems there might have been a bit of confusion on how to fill out the submission form.
The place for the contestants name is where you put the name of the hot vintage tv lady you are submitting for the bracket.
And the suggested poll pic is for you to place a link to a picture of your hot vintage tv lady that I can use to represent them in the polls.
If you filled out the form incorrectly previously, no problem, please feel free to resubmit your fav with the form properly filled out this time. I can't use submissions that are submitted incorrectly, I simply don't have enough time to try and figure out what was intended from limited information. I've updated the form to clarify these things. Finally bellow is the current list of submitted hot vintage tv ladies for the bracket! Please keep in mind that this list is subject to change as I have only gone through about half of the submissions so far. It's possible there might be people on this list that will be disqualified later for not meeting our criteria.
If your fav isn't on the list, then they aren't in the bracket, so please feel free to submit them while submissions remain open!

your post inspired me so here's who I think certain saw characters favorite artists would be with no explanation at all:
hoffman: george bellows
amanda: paul cezanne
john: osman hamdi bey
lawrence: allan kaprow
adam: marta minujin
lynn: doris salcedo
strahm: caravaggio
oh i like this!! i want to add some:
the eerie quality of henri de toulouse-lautrec's work (at least imo) feels like it'd be appealing to hoffman. along the same vein, i'd say edvard munch too. ALSO FRANCISCO GOYA. im surprised he wasn’t also painting fucked up shit on his own walls.
amanda would love louise bourgeois, ana mendieta, joan mitchell, and eva hesse. i feel like she'd also be really into fiber arts in general (tamara kostianovsky, kiki smith, raija jokinen). also we know she likes some renaissance/stylistically classical art bc she has the birth of venus print next to her bed in saw 3! i think this is more for gay reasons but i bet she'd like john william waterhouse’s mythological paintings.
i love this one for john! the obvious one for him would be da vinci as well- john's drawings actually remind me a lot of his. i think he wouldn't be into abstraction because “it lacks intellect” or some shit. probably dark, dramatic, pensive baroque art.
i feel like lawrence would be into impressionism but NOT post impressionism!!! he'd be so annoying about it. monet, degas, cassat, etc. i also think he'd enjoy botanical illustrations. probably a fan of edward hopper too.
adam would like jc leyendecker. just based on vibes. others i think he'd enjoy include john singer sargent, norman lewis, lee krasner, yoshitaka amano, salman toor, yayoi kusama... these are all over the place uhhhh i just think he'd enjoy a wide range of styles. now ofc he has favorite photographers, but that is not at all my area of study and the only one i could think of off the top of my head that would fit him is robert mapplethorpe.
for lynn, andrew wyeth makes sense to me- the lonely, empty, desolate feeling his paintings give you would probably speak to her :( agnes martin (ESPECIALLY agnes martin) and louise nevelson would probably appeal to her too.
strahm liking caravaggio is basically canon to me. like of fucking course. for one, he'd just loooove telling people that the Old Master painters are the finest of fine artists just bc he's a dick (and doesn't know shit about art made after like the 18th century). but also caravaggio was gay and killed someone and was murdered so. it fits. he'd probably scoff at rene magritte paintings but deep down he'd really enjoy them.
im obsessed with this ask and i've been drafting this response for a hot minute bc i wanted to put some real thought into it. VERY fun and a great way to procrastinate on work as an art history grad student

I need to see the platonic yandere twins reaction to when yandere Eloise shows up at Romney hall. It would explain the trip wire a bit more. Would their pranks be more dangerous? Would they take longer to warm up to Eloise? Would their feelings towards Marina change? And how did Eloise feel about them?
Oooo, this interesting. So we do know Amanda's thoughts at least of Marina because the second epilogue of TSPWL from her pov and this is what she says
(Be warned there is talks of suicide under the cut)
It is difficult to explain what our lives were like before she (Eloise) entered them. I could certainly describe events, but the tone of it all, the feeling in our house . . .
I don't really know how to convey it.
My mother - my original mother - killed herself. For most of my life I did not know this. I thought she died of a fever, which I suppose is true. What no one told lm was that the fever was brought on because she tried to drown herself in a lake in the dead of winter.
I have no intention of taking my own life, but I must say, this would not be any chosen method.
I know I should feel compassion, and sympathy for her. My current mother was a distant cousin of hers and tells me that she was sad her entire life. She tells me that some people are like that, just another are unnaturally cheerful all the time. But I can't help but think that if she was going to kill herself, she might as well have done it earlier. Perhaps when I was a toddler. Or better yet, an infant. It certainly would have made my life easier.
But the thing is, now I have memories of her. Marina, my first mother. I don't want memories of her. The ones I have are hazy and muddled. I can't recall the sound of her voice. Oliver says that might be because she hardly spoke. I can't remember whether she spoke or not. I can't remember the exact shape of her face, and can't remember her smell.
Instead I remember standing outside her door, feeling very small and frightened. And I remember tiptoeing a great deal, because we knew we mustn't make noise. I remember always feeling rather nervous, as if I knew something bad were about to happen.
And indeed it did.
Shouldn't a memory be specific? I would not mind a memory of a moment, or of a face, or a sound. Instead I have vague feelings, and not even happy ones at that.
Amanda to some degree resents Marina. When she talks about her she is detached and I believe a part of that is due to her being seven when Marina passed and any memory she has of Marina is her being scared of the woman who gave birth to her. I really don't blame her for that, I don't blame Marina either, depression is a bitch, and honestly it was a shitty situation for every one involved, Marina, Phillip, and the kids.
But onto the ask, I don't think the kids would form a platonic yandere attachment to Marina. They would form one to Phillip though, the parent they actually know, love, and want to spend time with. It's why they play so many pranks to scare others away, they want it to be just them and their father. Eloise herself I think herself would see the kids as an extension of Phillip at first, so her yandereism at first attached to them because they were a part of Phillip and then she grew a separate attachment to the twins the longer she was at Romney Hall.
I imagine in this universe after Marina's death (which Eloise may or may not have had a hand in) they see it as their chance to finally have their father to themselves and not have to worry about being quiet all the time.
Then some random lady they don't know rolls up to their house like she lived there!
Well the twins weren't going to take that lying down. Coming up with a story about a frog Amanda started screaming while Oliver started to knock things over.
"Oliver!" Their father bellowed. "Amanda!"
Perfect.
Racing down the stairs they were met with the sight of an admittedly pretty lady. Glancing at one another they knew she had to go. It's only been a year since the other one died, they didn't need another lady living with them, taking their father's attention.
The pranks were tamer in the beginning. It usually didn't take much to get rid of people when the twins wanted them gone. A bucket on the door filled with flour was a good warning prank.
Ms. Eloise though wasn't screaming like other people in the past had been. As the children watched from their hiding spot they noticed there was something different in Ms. Eloise's eyes. It intrigued them.
Their father then came upon Ms. Eloise which was not part of the plan. They did not like the way he cradled her face as inspected her for injuries. It wouldn't be the first time their pranks injured someone.
The twins pouted when their father said, "I will see to punishing the twins."
"No," Ms. Eloise said, halting their father in his tracks. "Leave them to me."
Their father's eye turned steely, his demeanor took a cold turn. "What, precisely, do you plan to do to them?"
Extracting a promise from Ms. Eloise that they will be alive with all limbs in tact their father gave Ms. Eloise the go ahead.
The twins weren't worried. No one, except that horrible Nurse Edwards, ever really gave the twins much trouble.
They will come to regret underestimating Ms. Eloise later when Amanda finds her bed filled with fish guts.
Game on then.
The pranks kept escalating, getting more dangerous than the previous one. Ms. Eloise kept giving as good as she got though, all without causing any physcial harm to the twins.
Oliver and Amanda dared they say it, were having fun.
Then came the trip wire prank.
The twins had placed the string much closer to the stairs, to the point that Eloise landed on the very edge of the top step instead of near it.
"Oliver!" Their father bellowed. "Amanda!"
The twins never heard their father that angry before. His voice was icy, but his face was filled with rage. Ms. Eloise had a black eye from their prank. Later on in life the twins will comment that they were lucky they were Phillips kids because they were sure if he wasn't he would have killed them.
Ms. Eloise said they had to spend an afternoon with her, with no pranks. That day came sooner they either of them expected, literally the next day.
Ms. Eloise took them away from that horrible Nurse Edwards, her eyes narrowing at the nursemaid as she passed. The look was back in her eyes when they pulled that first prank on her, only much worse. When she looked back at the twins her eyes became warmer.
Spending the afternoon with her the twins decided they wouldn't mind if Ms. Eloise stayed.
They got their wish because that same night Ms. Eloise's brothers came crashing into their house, the twins hated how they tried to kill their father, but they were joyful because that meant Ms. Eloise could stay!
They liked life much better with their new mother. For one that horrible Nurse Edwards was gone! Their father came in when she was hitting them with a book and that same rage they saw before when they gave their mother her black eye was now directed at Nurse Edwards. Years later the twins will realize that Nurse Edward left that room alive was because they were there. They will also learn that she didn't survive long after, their parents saw to that.
The love that their parents brought to their home was very special. SO much so that a few pranks were still pulled in the years after, but only on those that say anything that would upset their mother, like how she wasn't their real mother.

Prologue
Two lines. Two perfectly formed lines.
It couldn't be.
Yet, it all made sense.
The sudden surge of emotion. All the throwing up at random times. The crying jags. Getting angry for no reason at all. Tired all the time.
This is what caused all of it.
Amanda covered her mouth while tears began to fall. Happiness, wonder, fear, then heartbreak flooded over her.
She was going to have to face Thomas and tell him.
Surely then he would agree that their recent breakup needed to be forgotten.
They had another reason, a more important reason, to be together.
First though, she needed to confirm with her doctor that she was truly pregnant before confronting him. It was already killing her pride to have to crawl back and admit she should have never ended things between them.
But, she'd do anything for their baby.
She made the necessary appointment and then went to talk to those she trusted most. Amanda was going to need all the advice she could get to make up for her sudden erratic behavior with Thomas a month ago.
******************
California, 3 weeks later...
"What's my schedule for today?" Thomas asked.
"You've got a meeting with the studio heads at two, then dinner with Kara Bennett, and you have an appointment with..." Holly trailed off as she tried to work up the nerve to tell him who was coming to talk to him.
"Have a bouquet of flowers delivered to Kara with my apologies." Thomas flipped through his new contract. "Tell her that I intend on making it up to her with dinner tomorrow night."
"You sure about that?" Holly's lips firmed in disapproval. "Are you--you're not dating her, are you?"
Thomas paused and looked up at her. "Not that it is any of your business, but no. She would like to, but I am still undecided."
Holly took her glasses off so she couldn't see his anger when she told him who was coming in thirty minutes. "Amanda called."
He froze. "When?"
"Last Thursday." Holly slowly sat down in front of his desk. "She asked to meet with you."
His eyes narrowed. "Meet with me? At work? Why?"
"She only said it was something important that she couldn't discuss over the phone." Holly explained
Thomas leaned back in his chair and folded his arms. He had just begun to push all thoughts of their former relationship behind him. He wasn't ready to see her yet. The pain of losing her was still too fresh. He didn't know if he could mask the effect she'd had over him.
"You told her I was too busy." He rocked back and forth in his chair.
Holly bit her lip. "Not exactly."
He stopped. "What did you say?"
"That you were free," Holly checked the time, "now."
"She's coming here? Now?" He bellowed, coming out of his chair.
"Yes." Holly quickly put her glasses on. She wanted to make certain he wasn't searching for a weapon to kill her with.
"How could you--why would--get out!" He ordered.
"Thomas, I--"
"I need a moment alone." He lowered his head while leaning on his desk. "Now."
Holly quietly left.
Thomas ran his hands over his face while thinking about Amanda. He loved her. He knew he always would. But right now, the thought of trying again was exhausting.
The distance separating them combined with making time to see one another on top of her sudden jealous accusations had been too much for him. Gone was the once pleasant, easygoing woman he had first met and fell for. Some entity had taken over her body. One he didn't want to have to fight anymore.
When Amanda ended things two months ago, he had been both heartbroken and relieved. He could return to his structured life without dealing with this new version of her. He felt like he had already lost his true love when the fights started. Now he just wanted to be left completely alone.
If she came back wanting to make amends, he didn't want to hurt her.
Yet...he didn't want to start again with her. Some things were better left behind. For his own sanity, he should leave their relationship in the past.
His heart could only be broken so much. No need to let her repeat the action over and over again.
At the knock on his door, he braced himself while calling out for her to enter
Amanda walked in. His eyes couldn't seem to leave her features that seemed to glow. The coral dress she wore had a loose skirt that brushed against her calves. She met his gaze and softly smiled.
"Thank you for agreeing to meet me." She sat down and clasped her hands in her lap. She seemed to be trying to find the right words. "There is something that I need to tell you." Her eyes dropped to her stomach. "I'm not certain how to say this, but--"
"I know what you're going to say." Thomas interrupted. He came around the desk and sat on the edge before her. "I accept your apology, but I don't think the timing is right to try again."
Her lips parted in surprise. "But I--"
"I think we could both use some time apart to decide what we really want." Thomas continued. He got up and paced about the room. "I love you and after a while I believe that we will either see we are meant to be together or end up simply grateful for what we once shared."
"I see." Amanda mumbled.
"It's for the best." Thomas added.
One of his interns poked his head into the office. "Hey Mr. Hunt? Did you want those flowers to Kara to say love or from with your name?"
Amanda's eyes narrowed on Thomas. No wonder he doesn't feel the timing is right, she thought with a flash of anger. The pompous, know it all, makes all the decisions jerk!
She stood up. "Goodbye, Thomas. Thank you for your precious time."
Thomas grabbed her arm in the hopes of explaining he didn't want anyone else. No one could take her place.
Amanda ignored the words Thomas was saying. She didn't want to hear that he had fallen for an actress. All she could focus on was her pain turning into fury. How could he have moved on so quickly?
She wanted to hit him. Never in her life had she ever wanted to hurt someone so much as she did him. She wanted him to feel the crushing pain she was experiencing in her heart.
How had he moved on so easily? She still cried at the thought of losing the very person she believed was the love of her life.
She felt sick to her stomach thinking about him and Kara. The nausea reminded her that she couldn't give in to her desire to punch his handsome face. She had someone else to think of. Someone who deserved every sacrifice she knew she would have to make to keep Thomas in their child's life.
"...and that's why I am sending Kara flowers." Thomas stepped closer to her when he noticed how pale she was. "Amanda?"
Her eyes lifted to his. Taking a deep breath, she blurted out the reason she came to his office.
"I'm pregnant."
She watched as her words slowly registered. The shock of her announcement caused him to collapse in the chair she had been sitting in.
"Pregnant." He breathed. "Are you certain?"
"Yes." Amanda clasped her hands in front of her. "I wouldn't have come here if I had not had it confirmed by a doctor."
Thomas knew she wouldn't have darkened his door for anything. If there was one characteristic they shared, it was pride. Neither ever wanted to appear foolish.
He got up and took a step toward her, uncertain how he was supposed to react. "What do you intend to do?"
Tears sparked her eyes. "Well, I am going to keep the baby and I hoped..." She bit her lip while lowering her eyes. Seems he had no intention to get back together with her. "I hope you will want to be a part of our child's life."
Thomas reached for her hand. Just because he wasn't sure whether or not to try a romantic relationship with her again, it didn't mean that he didn't want to be there for her.
"I will." He promised.
Her head jerked up and she noticed that there was no condemnation towards her reflected in his expression. The surprise announcement had definitely knocked him for a loop, but he was at least trying to do the right thing.
Though she had hoped to hear that he wanted to be with her, she was vastly relieved to hear his promise.
"Are you planning on staying in L.A. for a while?" He asked.
"I could stay a few days." She wiped her tears with her fingers. A nervous laugh escaped her. "I wasn't sure if you would want me to after I told you about the baby."
"I would like to discuss how we will work this out." He squeezed her hand before urging her to sit down. "I have some meetings that I don't think I'll be able to get out of today." He went to his desk to check his day planner. "How about dinner tonight at my home?"
"I don't want to interrupt your date." She struggled with the word. "I can--"
"I'm not dating anyone." Thomas explained. "That's why I told you the flowers were more of a professional courtesy than romantic in nature."
"So you and Kara Bennett?" Amanda felt a brief spark of hope. "You're not--"
"No. She's one of the actresses on an upcoming film I'm directing." He replied.
"I see." She mumbled.
"Will seven thirty work for you?" He asked.
"Yes, of course."
"Should I pick you up?" He remembered she was staying at a hotel.
"No, I'll call for a car." She got to her feet again and held her hand out towards him. "I know you have work and a lot to think over." Her lips curved into a sad smile. "But thank you for meeting with me and hearing me out."
He came around his desk and pulled her into a hug. Realizing how hard it was for her to come here, touched something within his heart. She seemed so fragile that he felt the need to comfort her.
Hugging her was the safest way in his opinion.
She trembled in his arms before returning his hug. Struggling with her tears, she laughed.
"Forgive me. I haven't had control of my emotions these last few months. The pregnancy hormones have a mind of their own."
Thomas handed her some tissues. "No need to apologize."
She thanked him as she dabbed under her eyes. "If I'm not crying then I am losing my temper. Poor Maxwell. I practically jumped down his throat for drinking the last Sprite on the way here."
His eyebrows lifted. "Maxwell came with you?"
"Everyone came with me." She shook her head in exasperation. "They were worried that you--" she winced. "They, um, came to support me."
"I see." He replied. Reaching out, he gently grasped her arm when he noticed the time. "I hate to rush you, but--"
"Of course." She gathered her things. "I'll see you this evening."
He smiled at her. "I look forward to it."
*******************
"I don't need a new dress." Amanda grumbled. "Thomas already said he doesn't want to get back together. I could wear sweatpants and an old t-shirt to dinner if I wanted."
Maxwell ignored her as he slipped through the racks of maternity dresses.
Amanda huffed when he pushed more dresses into her arms.
"Try these on." He ordered. "You'll thank me that I made sure you look beautiful later."
"Fine." She muttered. "But I want to grab a snack after this."
"Deal." He promised.
She soon came out, twirling in a floral number he had handed her.
Maxwell shook his head. "The flowers are too big."
She next twirled in a sunny yellow halter top dress.
"Nope. I don't know why I gave you yellow. You've never been able to wear that color."
She glared at him before trying on a rich emerald dress.
His eyes widened when she stepped out.
"Whoa." He grinned at her. "That's the one."
"Good." She mumbled. "Now can we go eat?"
****************
"At once, your grace." He promised.
Maxwell mentally rubbed his hands together as she disappeared to change. He thought tonight was just the beginning of Thomas and Amanda realizing they should be together.
Thomas's home...
He didn't know why he felt nervous, but for some reason Thomas kept second guessing everything. He changed shirts three times, double checked his reflection after shaving, and had recombed his hair more times than he wished to dwell on.
He had been hard pressed to focus on his meetings. The fact that his ex was not only back in his life, but carrying their child had been difficult to push to the back of his mind. He wondered if he would have been able to even if Amanda hadn't told him her reason for coming to see him.
He kept replaying their conversation. Something about it, kept bothering him.
If I'm not crying, then I am losing my temper.
He stopped midstep when that came to mind.
The hormones! They must have been what altered her before we broke up!
"Could it be true?" He mused to himself. "Could I possibly have the real Amanda back once she is no longer affected by hormones?"
His doorbell ringing didn't allow him a chance to answer his own question. He hurried down the stairs, took a deep breath, and opened the door.
"Good--" his tongue faltered.
He had thought she was lovelier than ever in her earlier coral dress, but this green one brought all her physical characteristics that he'd always found attractive to perfection.
She smiled at him. "Good evening, Thomas. May I come in?"
He stepped back. "Of course. Please."
His gaze traveled down her body while her attention was focused on his home.
"Your home is still lovely." She mumurmered.
"You know how little I like change." He placed his hand at her back, guiding her on into his living room. "What can I get you to drink?"
"Water, I suppose." She replied.
"After you mentioning Maxwell taking the last Sprite from you, I bought some in case you wanted it during dinner."
Her smile brought his own out without him realizing it.
"Thank you. I would prefer that. The oddest things make my morning sickness go haywire."
He prepared her drink and brought it over with his own evening libation. Settling down beside her on the couch, he broached the delicate topic.
"Dinner I'm afraid won't be ready for an hour. I took longer at the store than I thought I would." He settled his arm along the back of the sofa and turned his body more toward her. "Would you like to discuss how we will go about," he gestured toward her stomach, "this?"
She took a gulp of her drink before setting it down. "We can." She lowered her eyes. "Honestly Thomas, I don't know what to say or where to even start."
His fingers gently squeezed her shoulder. "As surprised as I am over this development, I can't begin to imagine what a shock it has been to you."
She laughed and looked up at him. "You have no idea." Her hand drifted over her barely still flat stomach. "But, I already adore whoever this is."
His lips eased into another smile. "I can't think of you responding in any other fashion to having a baby."
"How do--, I understand if you can't answer yet, but how do you feel? About being a father?" She grimaced slightly. "I doubt your ex carrying your child adds any--"
He placed his hand over hers that rested on her stomach. "Amanda, I told you I've never stopped loving you. I simply feel that we shouldn't rush into getting back together until we are certain of one another." His eyes drifted over her face before meeting her startled gaze again. "I honestly never pictured my life with children...but since I am about to have one, I can think of no one else I would rather have than you to be my child's mother."
Tears filled her eyes, causing him alarm. She had rarely cried when they dated, yet each time he was around her today, the tears fell.
He slipped his arms around her and gently held her while she cried. Her hiccupped words were garbled somewhat, allowing him to catch only a few at a time.
"Still love--never thought--I only--you--"
He rubbed her back while wondering if this was going to last her entire pregnancy.
She pulled away while searching through her purse for tissues. "I'm sorry. I don't have any control."
He brushed her hair back as she wiped her tears. "If you wish, we can table the discussion for another time."
She shook her head. "I would rather have it settled before I return to Cordonia."
His frown reappeared. For some reason, he had forgotten about where she would need to go. Doing the math in his head, he realized that she would be having their baby while he was in the midst of filming.
"The baby is due in September, right?"
"Yes."
"Hmm." He settled back against the cushions. "And I suppose you want to have it in Cordonia."
"I hadn't really thought of having the baby anywhere else." Her brow furrowed. "Most of the heirs of St Orella were born in Cordonia."
He had also forgotten his child would one day be a duke or duchess.
"Is that something you're not comfortable with?" Amanda asked. "Were you wanting me to have the baby here?"
His lips parted then closed. "I'm not--I don't know."
She bit down on her lip. "Not to put too much pressure on you, but I will be three months tomorrow." When he simply stared at her waiting for an explanation, she briefly closed her eyes. "That means I will have only three months left to safely travel by air."
"I see." His frown firmed. "Perhaps that is something we should both give more thought to before making a decision."
Amanda's stomach gurgled causing color to flood her face. Reaching for her glass, she apologized for the strange sound.
He chuckled while getting up to see how much longer dinner was going to take.
Taking a deep breath to try and calm her nerves, she forced herself to follow him into the kitchen.
"Is there anything I can--" in the midst of offering to help cook, a smell struck her.
She covered her mouth while rushing to his hall bathroom.
Thomas hurried after her. His alarm grew at the violent vomiting episode he could hear.
Standing outside the closed door in uncertainty, he knocked timidly.
"Amanda? What can I do? Should I--"
She tried to answer but was interrupted by another strong wave of nausea.
"Give me a minute." She panted.
He couldn't just stand there doing nothing while she was ill. Thomas tried the door and found it unlocked. Cracking it open, he saw her lying on the floor, taking deep breaths.
"Amanda?!" He knelt beside her.
"I'm fine." She tried to reassure him. "It might sound strange, but lying on the floor against the cold tile helps settle my stomach faster than getting up to go to a bed or couch.
"Is there anything I can get you?"
"A cold rag would be nice." She closed her eyes and curled up some in the fetal position. "It is just about over."
He sat down in the floor and placed the rag over her forehead. Needing something else to do, he began to run his fingers through her hair, hoping it gave her some comfort.
"Thank you." She said softly.
"Did the doctor say when this would end?" He asked.
"It's different for everyone. For some it ends after the first trimester." Amanda shuddered when her stomach gurgled. "I've read where others were still throwing up during labor."
He blanched at the thought. "Let's hope you're in the first category."
She slowly pushed herself up, pausing to make certain her stomach would allow such movement.
Their eyes met, and she averted her gaze from the worry reflected in his.
"I'm fine." Amanda promised. "This is just part of the process."
He stood up and reached down to help her.
She took his hands and got to her feet. Stepping past him to rinse her mouth, he gently rubbed her back.
"I don't like the idea of you being alone during this." He muttered.
Amanda chuckled. "I do have a household filled with servants." She shrugged. "And my friends visit from time to time."
Thomas continued to frown as he followed her back into the kitchen. "It isn't the same as having someone on hand to help you when these episodes strike."
"Well, I have more than some do." She muttered.
He folded his arms as he watched her set the table.
She noticed. "What is it?"
He wasn't really sure what to say. Random thoughts of what he should do kept popping up.
If they lived sixty years earlier, he would have immediately married her. He would have made certain neither she nor their baby had any stigma attached to them whatsoever. Many today would suggest living together so he could help take care of her and their child while they tried to see if there was any romantic love left between them.
But both of those seemed too extreme to decide on after just finding out she was pregnant.
"Thomas?"
He forced his frown to ease and pulled out her chair for her. "Forgive me, I was lost in thought."
"It isn't..." She dropped her eyes. "I didn't mean to ruin the evening with my morning sickness."
Thomas reached for her hand. "You didn't. Our situation changes things between us and I suppose I am trying to find my way forward."
Amanda squeezed his hand. "We'll figure it out."

Amanda Anderson is a titan in the world of business and money. A woman of power and beauty who never bends to anyone's orders but her own, her name was quick to fill any mouth who worked in the same world as her. Amanda was quick to gain reporters over her success in a male-dominated workspace, as some wished to spread the good news and bring hope, the tabloids watched for any crack or gossip (real or not) to float to the surface that was the ocean-sized mystery of Amanda yet nothing was ever fished.
She owned many businesses and threw many of the century-long rulers of trading finance to the curb, any and all men were below her yet felt her wrath if they attempted to embarrass or undermine her in any way.
A few months after obtaining her enormous wealth, Amanda disappeared into her countless holiday homes and city apartments, all while secretly donating and sending supplies to those less fortunate than the everyday worker, and she remained silent. No meetings were held by her and all business was either handled by her second in change or via E-mails, she was almost unreachable until a small story of an apprenticeship shook the papers one spring morning.
Pages upon pages of theory and so-called 'witnesses' were scattered through every newspaper and magazine and they flaunted her pictures on the front pages to entice more readers to find out who and what the beautiful stranger was up to.
Two tanned palms flinched a paper paper upright before a snort came from behind the printed words "Hey Matoi, listen to this one;"
A being who sat next to them sipped tea from a delicate green china cup before placing it on a matching saucer which was held up by a small round crystal patterned table, which chairs to match, and awaited blankly for the words she had mostly likely already read or heard "'A woman of her time with a passion for work, Amanda Anderson may have finally succumbed to the weight of being the sole head of her company, despite her second in charge Matoi Kissame who has been handling the Anderson Industries, the typhoon of the business world keeps her finance and main income from the number two worker and may perhaps be thinking of replacing her closest subordinate, Matoi has yet to comment on the roomers of the apprenticeship'"
"You're replacing me? That's a new one" the curly-haired female huffed with rolling orbs, "But wait- it gets better!" her friend and boss flattened the article on her table after folding the paper in half, showing hair tied in a low ponytail with a loose strand curled over her ear and a bright pair of exited eyes "'Although she has countless workers and land some speculate that the CEO may lead a lonely life her many extravagant homes and is now searching for some form of companionship'- Companionship! You hear that Matoi!" Amanda cackled at the so-called 'news'.
"Yes Amm, I hear you" she called back sarcastically as she fished through her phone and earned a glare from the brunette, the cyan haired woman lifted her stare from the countless E-mails and gave a curled smile "With the way they put it- the story sounds it least half believable, Amanda raised a brow at the second in commands words and glanced at the words bellow, "You think?"
With one blank stare from the opposite body, Amanda sent a pointed stare before sighing and folding the paper neatly and slapping it at the edge of the small table "Honestly, these hens'll read anything you throw at them these days, as long as it fills their stomachs they don't care who's life is being ruined" she sighed while watching the corners of her paper flicker at the breezes from a nearby cliff as Matoi's curious gaze watched her, pinching a pink macaroon from the cake platter between them she asked "What's the reason for this apprenticeship anyways? It's not like you to suddenly take an interest in someone like this, I was surprised this morning when reports ambushed me while I was heading to my car" The female sent a pointed stare at the blank-faced money typhoon "Do you have any idea how annoying that was? And then I had to find out about the apprenticeship as they shoved recorders in my face" she groaned quietly at the annoyance of this morning, gaining a sympathetic smile from her friend "I am sorry about that, but there was no time to tell you. In truth, I only decided yesterday after finding him"
"Well that makes sense, you've been interested in finding that boy for a while now" Matoi sipped at her tea.
They both sat in a comfortable silence until a neat older gentleman showed up at their table with a hand on his chest and a light bow "Lady Amanda, you have a visitor awaiting you in the conference room"
"Thank you Tanaka" she nodded at the butler before rising from her seat "You can finish the cakes or take them home but it be best if you left soon, I have some meetings to tend to after this one" She nodded at the bright-haired female who already had another macaroon between her lips, with a nod Matoi understood and carried on with her lunch as Amanda dispread behind the marble walls of her home.
Waltzing into the conference room Amanda spotted a standing being who nervously glanced at the room around him, the male wore a baggy black suit that seemed a few sized too big for him but his striking looks and orange hair made up for that mistake easily "Ichigo Kurosaki I presume?" she grinned, stepping into the glass-walled room gracefully and leaned on the head of the chair which sat at the top of a very long dark oak table, Ichigo turned with a nervous sweat but his eyes widened at the woman, she was good looking and expected the reaction but was surprised he was so obvious about it, from what information Amanda had gathered he didn't seem like the type of guy to react to someone's features, she also knew that he had no idea why he was given this random opportunity to work bellow this random woman who was suddenly all over the news. He nodded at the presumption and stepped forward "Look, I'm gonna be honest and say I've got no idea why I'm here or why you picked me for this apprenticeship thing" he shrugged somewhat childishly.
"I'll explain everything don't worry" She smiled and held out a hand to the expensive-looking leather chair next to her "Please, have a  seat and I'll have Tanaka prepare some tea"
As Ichigo made himself as comfortable as he could a male randomly appeared a the door of the room with a small wooden trolley that held a platter of modern Japanese sweets along with two cups of green liquid "Today I have prepared traditional Matcha green tea"
"Thank you, Tanaka, you may have the rest of today off. Tonight I will prepare my dinner" She gave a small smile pared with a wave to which he bowed politely "Thank you, ma'am, my wife will be most pleased"
"Mm, give her my best" she nodded as the older male left the room quicker than he entered, she then placed the tea in front of her guest and held a palm out to the sweets "Please, take as many as you wish. I've just had lunch so I don't have much of an appetite at the moment"
Ichigo awkwardly thanked the woman with a small sip of his tea, thinking about how he also currently has no will to eat due to his nerves and the strange tenseness of the room, with a thinned stare Ichigo suddenly turned serious and wanted to get to the bottom of this strange occurrence.
"Who are you? I know you're not just some big business icon.... you're from Soul Society"
"My, very astute" she compliments before linking her fingers and resting her chin on them while leaning forward with a smooth grin "I am Amanda Shōwa and I am the Capitan of Squad Zero"

Bromance in paradise
Today's fic didn't really turn out kinky, but I tried to write another one and it didn't work out so I panicked! I am pretty pleased with this idea though lmao. Reality dating show AU! I guess there are mentions of threesomes so I still call it a kinktober fic, but I'm pushing it a bit! :o)
It was a searing afternoon, on an island with white shores, azure waters and palm trees all around. The singles stood huddled around poseur tables, giggling and peeking glances at each others' asses. The hottest one there so far was Ian, a single from Sacramento, YouTuber by day, car-connaisseur by night. All the girls were fawning over his blue eyes and round butt.
The other guys also tried to impress. Take Shayne, an actor from LA, built like a tank and charming his way around the ladies. They laughed and even cried laughing at his jokes, but they still secretly checked Ian out too gauge whether he was looking at them.
They were nearly complete. There were 5 girls and 4 guys. Who would be the last?
Finally, someone walked up to the crowd from across the beach.
"Oooh, he's a looker!" Amanda, a bartender and model from Boston said, giddy with anticipation for the guy to get closer.
"Wowie, look at those tats!" Courtney said, mouth open and blatantly staring. She was a venture capitalist from Malibu.
"Hi everyone! I'm Anthony."
The camera cut to an interview with Anthony.
"I'm an entrepreneur from LA, I love creating start-ups and sell them. Yeah, I'm really good with computers, although you wouldn't think so by my looks," he winked at the camera. Shots of him doing yoga were shown. "Live, laugh, love is my motto. What? It's not corny, it's truth!" He giggled.
All the singles were eying the new arrival. He was wearing nothing but black short shorts, revealing an extremely fit body and intense tattoos.
"His body is like, an enigma," Jacky gushed. "He's like, hot, but nerdy? Macho yet feminine? Either way, I'm wet." She bellowed a sultry laugh and raised her eyebrows mischievously.
Ian was looking at Anthony as well. His blue eyes pensive, taking in the other guy's form, his face clouded over.
"Anthony is an incredible looking guy," he told the cameras. But then he smirked with a raised eyebrow, and said: "but I'm not worried. He's got the looks, but I've got the rizz."
Keith, a comedian from LA, commented: "I am sensing a VIBE, yall. Ian is into that tatted up dude!"
Anthony talked to the cameras. He wore his shiny curls like a crown but one curl kept falling before his eye, causing him to do the Justin Bieber flip. "I am certainly the hottest guy here," he giggled and looked down at his feet. "Maybe I have some competition from that Ian guy, he seems very popular. But I bet I can get a date locked down for the night like.." - he snapped his tatted fingers - "that!"
As he mingled with the crowd, trying to fend off Jacky because she was coming on a little too strong, ducking out from under Courtney, she wasn't really his type, and staying clear of the incredible feminine energy coming from Amanda. The other girls, Arasha and Olivia, didn't really catch his eye.
"Hey, what's up?" Anthony said.
"I'm kinda enjoying this island! It's hot, sure, but look around, it's a little piece of paradise here."
"So true. The water is so blue, it's incredible."
Anthony said this while looking into Ian's eyes. Ian's glance softened and he genuinely smiled.
"So, do you have your mind set on a girl yet?"
Anthony snapped out of his staring, and took a while to recollect himself.
"Uhh, yeah, sure. I kind of fancy Arasha, she's very pretty."
"Good choice man. I am looking at Amanda, and frankly, I'm scared. She could throw me right into the ocean if she wanted."
The guys laughed.
"She'd throw you like a pebble dude."
"She'd yeet me all the way back home."
"So, yeah. What do you do for a living?"
The guys hit it off. Girls kept coming up to them to interrupt and steal their attention, but to no avail.
"It's like, a best friendship is being forged before our very eyes." Arasha, a beauty guru from LA said. She had a twinkle in her eye.
"Well, I guess I get more attention this way, and I don't mind at all," Shayne said while laying in Amanda's lap.
"We're going to share a room together tonight," she said. Shayne smiled as she caressed his cheek.
An agent of the production crew walked up to Ian and Anthony.
"I get that you're hitting it off and forging a friendship, but you're here on a dating show. You should start dating, before it's dark outside. It's harder to film at night."
"Nah, we're good." Ian and Anthony were laughing. They had been drawing in the sand.
"We're going to share a room together tonight," Anthony informed the agent.
A shot of Ian and Anthony together.
"I love this guy, where did you find him?" Anthony asked jokingly.
"And I love him, what a dork, what a dude. I've never met someone who I vibed with more in my life."
"Don't look so judgy! It's 2023, anything can happen. We're deciding to share our room tonight. And no, we're not gay."
"Speak for yourself, I'm bi as fuck!"
"Good for you, dude!"
They high-fived and laughed at the crew, who walked away.
"Look at them go with their tails between their legs!" Anthony laughed.
"Now, let's see if they got a Switch in our room!"
"Dude.."
"Honestly? Good for them!" Arasha said, sipping a cocktail. "But I guess I'm going home alone tonight.
"Listen, as we're changing the rules anyway, there's room for one more," Amanda and Shayne said from over the other table."
Arasha's eyes lit up. "Alright alright alright!"
Courtney and Keith ended up sharing a room and so did Jacky and Noah, a guy who hadn't had much screen time but looked very friendly and cute. They also had a +1, Angela, a mysterious, petite girl.
"That concludes the first, crazy episode of this season!" The voiceover said." Tune in next week for sex, intrigue and true bromance. See you then.
