Today's Gender of the Day is: Ambonec!
Ambonec is an identity where an individual is male, female, and neither at the same time. It is an ambiguous or paradoxical gender that can be fluid, can fluctuate, be static, or be demi-ambonec. This label falls under the multigender, bigender, and trigender umbrellas.
A similar term is genderdox, which means simultaneously having two genders and also none (with the difference being that ambonec is specifically male and female while genderdox can be any two genders.)

Bigender Resources (Updated 05/29/2022)
► What is Bigender? “Bigender, bi-gender, or sometimes dual-gender/dual-gendered, is a gender identity under the multigender, nonbinary, and transgender umbrella terms. Bigender people have two [or more] different specific gender identities, either at the same time, or at different times.” When there is no fluidity or shifting between the genders, it is called ambigender.

in all seriousness tho: i've been scared to mention this for a while bc this is so awkward but remember a few months ago when i wanted to try going by Felix instead but then changed my mind bc i decided i was more comfortable with my birthname and being cis? well, i was WRONG. i am not. i think i'm gonna try going by Felix again. and as for gender/pronouns... idk. my gender(s) is always fluxuating/changing. and my pronoun preference seems to always change too, so i'll just say i'm okay with any pronouns bc well, it is true.
definitely not gonna try coming out to my parents again tho (learned that lesson the hard way...) at least while i still live with them. i do have ideas of how i would like, want to transition, i have for years, but idk if i'm brave enough to actually pursue them tho, i might end up staying closeted forever... but i got a few years to think that over tho bc i wouldn't be able to do any of that until i move outta here lol.
okay i'm rambling but yeah, just wanted to let y'all know about the name and stuff. btw idk if i really consider "Shannon" a deadname. wouldn't bother me if someone messed up and used that name by accident.
but yeah, tldr my name Felix and any pronouns okay 👍

To my followers who are androgyne! Or androgyne with some fluidity between feminity/androgyny/masculinity, can you share your experiences? How your genders feel/move around, if there's another gender in your identity you sometimes feel, how you figured out your identity, or anything you want to share, please reblog or comment the stories you want to share! I'm trying to help my boyfriend by finding this sort of thing but the androgyne tag is more full of /androgynous/, the expression, rather than any identities relating to it
Thank you 💜
(as an FYI my partner is fine with me switching between calling them my boyfriend and partner, no misgendering is happening from me)
Will be sharing this on my other blogs to get more reach :)

not exactly an ask asking something about being multigender, just sharing my experiences
i have told this in one of my posts but being agenderfluid (that is, for me, being fluid between masculinity, femininity, neutrality, and abinarity and/or agenderness) is... such a weird experience, not gonna lie. like, i'm still in the closet, so people still see me as a "cis woman" (presenting femininely did not help) and i'm still having "cis passing privilege" (UGHHHH i'm sorry i've said that, i don't know how to describe this, it's very confusing), whatever that means, so all my queer experience is like, living vicariously from reading people's experiences with transmultiphobia; that means like, i'm thinking "i can only imagine what it's like if i came out"
and somewhere along the line i'm like "...hold up, all this time i'm kinda forcing myself to be JUST ONE GENDER ONLY PLEASE and somehow i'm kinda repulsed with the term multigender and genderfluid... doesn't that mean i'm experiencing transmultiphobia also???" LIKE, my gender is literally Everything and Nothing, All At Once, and i felt like my gender is an endless journey in space, like a hellish immortality of questioning. which can be saved by just... embracing the genderfluid label??? like, for this i'm so happy (even though quietly) when people talk about transmultiphobia, when people start talking about multigender experiences, like before that i almost always felt the NEED (yes, in caps because it's that bad) to be JUST ONE GENDER, AND ALWAYS LIKE THAT
now, i think i want to expand the conversation about transmultiphobia just a bit. like i said, i don't just have Multiple Genders, i am also having No Gender, and it does influence my genderfluidity to such degree that sometimes, i cannot relate to many genderfluid and/or multigender, static or not, experiences of gender. i really, really, REALLY want to talk about it, to find a community of people that is simultaneously multigender AND non gendered, or even fluid about it. we are a very unique and almost unheard of intersection of genderhood, and i think it's time for us to be SEEN
All asks are good asks!
I definitely understand experiencing oppression vicariously- that's how I felt when I first started learning about transandrophobia, because I was semi-out as genderqueer but not as masculine, but I still read other people's experiences and went "yep, that's what I would face if I came out." And then it helped me realize the transandrophobia that I'd internalized that was stopping me from accepting myself as transmasc, yknow? So I'm glad the conversation around transmultiphobia has helped you in that way :)
And thank you for your contribution to the conversation on transmultiphobia! For having multiple genders but also no genders, you might want to look into ambonec communities (however small, I'm not 100% sure how common the label is). I've also definitely seen some people post about being multigender with agender as one of those genders (genderkoolaid is the only one I can remember off the top of my head), so you can look for other people like that who you can relate to.
If any of my followers have a similar experience of being multigender as well as genderless, feel free to add on!

Ambinull Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Ambinull (or ambonull): a gender that is both masculine and feminine, yet null, at the same time.
Different from ambonic, it’s specifically null (instead of none), although they can be used interchangeably if one wishes.

I have an ambonec flag proposal because I think the original is just too many shades. The colors are taken from the original flag plus the addition of white indicating a non-binary gender instead of just the pink to blue gradient

Today's Gender of the Day is: Ambinique!
Ambinique is a gender that results from society’s gender roles, stereotypes, and expectations being mixed and blurred over time into something entirely new and unique. Ambinique is a type of aporagender, its qualities being separated from the idea of female, male, and anything in between while still feeling gendered. As such, this identity cannot be considered androgynous in any way, but it can involve fluidity or fluctuation. Ambinique can also be combined with other genders to create a multigender identity.
This identity is similar to ambonec, where an individual will identify as male, female, and neither at the same time.
(Please note that the only reliable source for this identity is a coining post reblogged by BMPF from a user who is now inactive, and the term does not have its own Wiki page anywhere.)
