I (49F) am the proud mother of four amazing boys (21, 18, 16, and 15). Recently, my husband (52M) and I took them all on a trip to celebrate my second eldest graduating from high school. Now my boys eat A LOT, and feeding them can be expensive, even when I cook at home. So on vacation when we're eating out, it's a challenge. One night, when we were trying to decide what we were going to do about dinner, we heard loud music coming from one of the ballrooms in the hotel. I peeked inside and it appeared to be a sweet sixteen, and there was a buffet being set up in the back of the room. So rather than spend money on dinner that night, I suggested the boys go eat at the sweet sixteen. As soon as the buffet was done being set up, my boys filled up some plates. They were getting seconds by the time some woman came up to yell at them. I asked what was going on and why she was harassing my boys. She said that they were "ruining" her daughter's sweet sixteen, and that they might run out of food for the invited guests. I asked her if she had any sons, and she said no. I explained to her she couldn't possibly understand the joys and the struggles of being a boy mom, and that my sons were eating at the party because it would cost too much to feed them at a restaurant. This woman just didn't understand and hotel security hauled my boys out of the ballroom! And everyone in the room was staring at them as if they had done something wrong! All I wanted was for my boys to have an affordable meal. AITA?

I honestly can't tell if this post is an "obvious troll" or if I'm just hoping it is. There's a very good chance it's fake but I had to share it.

I'm sure most have heard of the CW show "supernatural". About two brothers who fight demons and monsters.

My sister was a huge fan while the show was airing. Engaged in all areas of the fandom, like, insane super fan. I never really got into it like she did but was still involved in fandom spaces.

Anyway, no beating around the bush, she was hugely into wincest (the romantic and sexual relationship between the two brothers). Wrote fic, edited youtube videos, etc. She even made like a wincest tumblr series with her ex girlfriend roleplaying as the two characters.

So you can imagine my shock when she gave birth to twins this past month and announced their names as Sam & Dean.

I was a little taken aback but hoped somewhere that it was a joke. They have three older kids who also have fandom names (not supernatural necessarily, but across fandoms) and so I wasn't really holding up hope.

I called her up and asked what the boys names really were and she informed me they were, in fact, called Sam & Dean.

I told her it was really fucking weird and she told me it didn't matter because they weren't real and she didn't actually condone incest.

I called her a freak and said it wasn't normal or fair to the boys. What if they found out, you know?

She told me I was overreacting and to either support her bringing the babied into the world or leave her alone.

I left it at that & my mom later text me to ask what was going on. She knows my sister used to ship the brothers so I told her and she was quiet but ended up telling me that it wasn't the same and I needed to apologise because she was upset.

I disagree. I think her choice was horrible and she deserves to feel shamed for it.

So, AITA? Am I actually in the wrong here? I know she's struggling right now, but still.

ETA; Additional information; They have a son called Severus and they seem to be encouraging "snape" behaviours in him (keeping his hair long, forcing him into like, chemistry summer camps and shit). Makes me feel like they're living vicariously through their kids or something.

OP reply: Sam's middle name is Lucifer! They were talking aboht Castiel for their firstborn but ended up naming him something else.

OP reply: Cersei & Katniss. I don't know what their "plan" is for Cersei but Katniss has already got her little toy archery kits lol.

my (40F) husband (48,000M) demolished south chicago and also our son (he’s ok now). he fled the planet, and i just recently found out that he had a child with a purple bug who is now deceased. my husband is on death row so this purple baby is sitting in my living room and my son is hopeful i’ll help look after his half-brother. I (39M) am the oldest of four children. I have two brothers, "Garrett" (35M) and "Victor" (32M) and one sister, "Wendy" (29F). Growing up, my brothers and I were really into sports and were constantly at practices/tournaments, and juggling that with schoolwork, we didn't have a whole lot of time for chores. Since Wendy didn't really have any worthwhile hobbies or interests, she did most of the housework. I remember it was around the time she was in middle school she started complaining about how "unfair" it was and just giving our mom and dad constant trouble and arguing nonstop. Her antics were stressful for all of us, but really took a toll on my parents.

Fast forward, Garret, Victor, and I are all married with children and working on our careers. Our plates are full, meaning as our parents get older, we don't have the time to take care of them. We don't want to put them in a home for two reasons 1) nursing homes have a reputation for being really miserable places and 2) paying for it would likely use up all the money my parents planned to leave to us (Wendy isn't getting anything because she was so terrible to them, and more or less abandoned the family when she turned 18). So my parents and my brothers and I got together and we decided on a solution that would be a win-win for all of us: Wendy would move back in and take care of them, making up for the hell she put them through as a teenager and saving the money for us to inherit.

Wendy didn't completely cut us off so we knew how to contact her. When we told her our plan she got really upset. I told her how disappointing it was that she hadn't grown up at all, and that now was the time to do what was right for our family. Days and then weeks passed and still no word. So I told her that as of a specific date and time, she was responsible for our parents' care and if she wasn't at their home, doing her job by that time I'd call the police on her for elder neglect. AITA?

AITA for abandoning my son?

I know the title sounds terrible, but I do have good reasons. When I (335F) gave birth to my (55M) son, he was smaller than an average kit. He survived long enough to become a physical year old (dragons age one year every fifty-five), and he was still far below a normal weight or size.

I took care of him for so long, and nothing changed. I was sure he wasn’t going to live much longer, so I told my husband, Alwyn (335M) that. I said we could just have another kit eventually, and hopefully, that one would be stronger.

Alwyn fully agreed, saying he was sure our son would be the runt if we had litters.

He (who wasn’t named yet, because kits don’t get them until their survival is assured), was in his nest, so I picked him by his scruff since we’d both made up our minds.

I headed to the outside of the cave we lived in, spreading my wings. I wasn’t sure where I was going to leave him yet, but I knew it wouldn’t be at our usual hunting grounds.

Alwyn followed me, and after a while, we landed in Brocéliande.

I saw some bushes and walked over to them, setting our son down under them. I was still gentle with him because I didn’t want to physically harm him, and I made sure to hide him because I didn’t want him to get eaten either.

It wasn’t like he could walk away from where I’d concealed him, since he was too young to walk. Or open his eyes, even. He could go without eating for a bit because I’d fed him a little bit before this.

I nuzzled him before I left, and he purred. I gave the bushes one last glance as I walked away, then we flew off.

So, Am I the Asshole?

anyone know how to get rid of hypnotic suggestions??? i tried hypno therapy to kick my binge eating disorder and my hypnotist diverted part of my brain to a bitcoin mining program. is there anyway I can get rid of this if not can I get access to the wallet??? a CT scan showed it’s making 100k+ PER DAY?!?!?

Am I the asshole for brainwashing my co-worker into turning her charity into a cover-up to get slaves to destroy a galaxy?

Context: I, (28F), lost my home eight years ago and recently moved galaxy to find a new ship to call home, but the founder of a charity in the area mistook me as needing help. The founder (16F) reminded me of the person who indirectly destroyed my home, so I ""politely"' told her that I didn't need help. However, I was lacking on the resources to pursue my career, so I offered her some of my engineering skills for some of her resources. She agreed with no questions asked.

During my time with her, I decided that it would be easier to use those seeking refuge on her planet as my servants than to spend materials on new robots. So I created a mind controlling peice of headgear suited to make people do my bidding. I quickly implemented this without the founder's consent (as I knew she wouldn't agree), but she found out anyway. I believe that she had forgotten our dynamic, as she acted without thought and attempted to dismantle the device which controlled all of the peices of headgear. I calmly reminded her that she had given me full control of her organisation when I became her co-worker, and I fitted the mind-controller onto her.

I've recently announced the new purpose of the organisation and I've received a lot of backlash from the public. I don't understand why though, I was just making an already known statement that I'm more important than charitable work. AITA?
