Traditional Evil Eye Amulets (SOLD OUT)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Evil Eye is an affliction recognized and dreaded across cultures, with innumerable traditional practices utilized to avert its affect. One especially popular method for protecting against the Evil Eye is the employment of magical devices designed to turn away its influence, and what I offer here is one such traditional amulet.
Each amulet is crafted from hand-foraged shed horn antlers, which I cut and sanded to shape, before lightly sealing them with a ritually empowered wood varnish made from a number of arboreal resins, such as Dragon's Blood, Storax, and Amber. Using this same empowered varnish, I then meticulously capped the tips of each piece with a gilding leaf made from .999 Pure Silver. When they were all fully dried and burnished, I sealed each piece with one final coat of preservative lacquer and set each one with a Sterling Silver pendant bail. With physical construction complete, each amulet was hallowed in a Warding Ritual, which activated and aligned the defensive virtues present therein.
Each piece can be purchased on my webshop, Wending Wares, as a standalone pendant, or can be outfitted with a Sterling Silver box chain measuring approximately 18 inches / 46 centimeters in length for an extra fee using the drop-down menu. Feel free to reach out through tumblr as well, if you can't use my website for some reason.
If your piece breaks suddenly, it traditionally indicates that it has absorbed an especially potent attack directed at its bearer. It should, thereafter, be buried at a Crossroads. If this does happen, and you find that you would like a replacement piece, simply reach out with a picture of the broken amulet, and I will gladly offer a new one at a discount.

Hello!
I had a question about my favourite part of the demo so far (Kesha pov <3), Do the amulets that they make have any kind of actually magic/power or is it more just a werewolf superstition thing?
Love the IF and keep up the good work!
It's a bit of both. The amulets have some influence on werewolves, but not a nearly as much as one is made to believe. During full moon, amulets can be blessed, but the Moon is mostly a silent observer, it guides them and comforts. It makes its werewolves feel home.
But it cannot heal them, it can't offer material help, it can't offer them strength.
However, because werewolves are so superstitious, the amulets work intrinsically because they believe in them. Just holding one is enough to pacify them or give them the strength they need.

Magickal tools
Charms, amulets, and talismans are objects that are believed to possess magical or mystical properties and are often used for protection or to bring good luck.
While the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, they have slightly different meanings:
Charms: A charm is an object that is believed to have magical power to protect the wearer from harm or to bring good luck. Charms are often worn as jewelry, such as a necklace or bracelet, and may be made from a variety of materials, including metal, stone, or wood. Examples of charms include a four-leaf clover, a horseshoe, or a rabbit's foot.
Amulets: An amulet is also an object that is believed to have magical power, but it is typically worn or carried for the purpose of protecting the wearer from evil or harm. Amulets are often made from materials that are believed to have protective properties, such as certain stones, metals, or herbs. Examples of amulets include a crystal pendant, a piece of amber, or a protective talisman.
Talismans: A talisman is an object that is believed to have magical power to bring good fortune or to achieve a specific goal. Talismans are often created for a specific purpose, such as attracting love, wealth, or success. They may be made from a variety of materials, such as precious stones, herbs, or metals, and may be worn or carried as a reminder of the desired outcome. Examples of talismans include a lucky coin, a mojo bag, or a sigil.
In summary, while charms, amulets, and talismans are all believed to have mystical properties, they have different purposes and uses. Charms are worn for good luck, amulets for protection, and talismans for achieving specific goals or desires.

Hello! Do you have anything on Coptic culture? Thank you!
There was one page that covered some amulets made by Coptic goldsmiths, I wish there were more but here are the images:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this is the description provided:
Small silver ex-votos are made using the repousse technique. Worn as charms, they are believed to have powers to cure or ward off disease. Someone with a heart ailment, for example, may wear a hollow, silver heart enclosed by leaves. Someone suffering from deafness or ear trouble would be given an ear-shaped piece of silver as an amulet to protect his hearing. Persons with leg or foot pains are prescribed a piece of silver in the shape of a foot to be placed on the ailing limb. Healing jewelry is the specialty of Coptic goldsmiths, who acquired the experience from making church icons: Christ or the Holy Virgin cradling baby Jesus in her arms. Such healing amulets are made to order for each ailment.

Four ceremonial amber amulets: egg shape with perforation; bear with eyes, mouth, tail and hind legs omitted; tablet-shaped pendant, corner with perforation; horse or elk head, eye and mouth not indicated, perforation at base of neck.
The bear comes from a bog in Resen, Viborg, Jutland, Denmark; the elk's head from Egemarke, Holbaej, West Zealand, Denmark. They are dated by fine incised and drilled bit ornament. There are indications that the patterns were incised with different points, at different times, and that the pits were made by rotating a bow-drill.
Copenhagen: Mus., Nationalmuseet.
Probably from an unrecorded mastaba in the Old Kingdom cemetery, Sakkara,.between 9000-5000 BC

An amulet from the 14th century, with the names of the three angels in the three bird-like figures, from the Amsterdam 1701 edition of Sepher Raziel HaMalach (Archangel Raziel’s Secret Book)
According to one story from the Medieval Hebrew treatise called The Alphabet of Ben, that contains 22 proverbs arranged according to the Hebrew alphabet, Ben Sira heals the sick little son of King Nebuchadnezzar with an amulet. When the king asks him what he wrote on the amulet, Ben Sira tells him that God kneaded the first human couple from the dust of earth, and they were thus equal. The woman, Lilith, therefore, did not want to lie under Adam in the bed, as required by Jewish sexual morals, but she wanted to be above. She rebelled and fled to the Red Sea, where she mated with demons. God sent three angels after her, who, however, failed to bring her back. All they could agree with her was that although she as a demon now had power to infect newborn children, nevertheless if the names of these three angels were written somewhere, she would not hurt the child there. The amulet began to become a reality in many Jewish circles, and was widely used in different forms all over the world until the 20th century.

Protect Yourself from the Evil Eye: Unveiling the Mysteries
Tumblr media
The "Evil Eye," or "Malocchio", is more than just a superstition; it's a belief that envious glares can bring about misfortune. The power of this gaze lies in the eyes of those who cast it upon you. Let's delve into the effects and defenses against this age-old belief.
-The Impact of the Evil Eye: Envious glances can take a toll on both your energy and physical health. You might experience problems like insomnia, disrupted chakra energy, stomach and digestive issues, or even persistent headaches. The effects can be subtle but profound, influencing your overall well-being.
-DIY Protection from the Evil Eye: Defending yourself against the malocchio doesn't require elaborate rituals. Simple remedies can work wonders. Consider wearing jewelry or accessories that divert attention away from your eyes, making it harder for the envious energy to reach you. It's like creating a shield that wards off negative vibes.
-Recognizing the Evil Eye's Presence: Sometimes, it's challenging to tell if you're under the influence of the Evil Eye. Watch out for rapid mood swings, unexplained fatigue, or recurring insomnia. These signs might indicate the malevolent gaze of another. It's essential to recognize these symptoms to take action promptly.
-Seeking Expert Advice: The Evil Eye, especially when directed by individuals with strong energy, can genuinely hinder your quality of life. To determine if you're affected, consider getting an "energy check" from an experienced healer. Their insights can provide you with clarity and help you regain balance.
Remember, the power of the Evil Eye lies in the belief, and while skepticism may offer some protection, it's always best to consult with experts for a more in-depth understanding. Protect your energy and embrace a happier, healthier life.
