ohhhh when I was a young tender bean (aka when the episodes came out) parting of the ways and doomsday got me bad. Now it's things like Turn Left (and not because of anything to do with the Doctor or Donna, but the things that are happening to society in the background.)

EU wise..... a lot. I am very easy to make cry. But like proper proper tears definitely The Gathering, The Peterloo Massacre, The Auton Infinity, Nightmare Country, A Death in the Family, Signs and Wonders. Death in Blackpool, To the Death.

The Last Days (Short Trips vol I), Instead of You (Christmas Around the World). I don't think any EDAs managed it yet (barring chapter 42 of book that shall not be mentioned...) The thing is with eu is there will be a lot of singular wee lines that just punch you right in the sternum, rather than things extended enough as like, doomsday, where the tears are building up. The Doctor can say "I can't get any of you to stay" and it will be the most devastating line in the audio, then things move on so quick. Or like. Tiny wee moments in Set Piece.

anyway yes, apologies, I cry a huge amount, and if I'm not crying then I am staring blankly into the sky as something horrifying happens in an audio. Very occasionally both at the same time. (For a cheery one, Time in Office made me laugh so hard I did indeed cry. 😅 )

Jordan and Marie are so iconic but so unexpected. When that hallway scene happened where it’s implied Jordan likes Marie I was blown away. I never saw it coming but after rewatching I see that it was very subtle but there in hindsight. Their chemistry is crazy. Marie has good chemistry with both London and Derek.

like, the hints leading up to the hallway scene in episode four are VERY subtle, but they’re still there!!! the tension between them was INSANE which is why i can’t take ppl who say it “came out of nowhere” seriously bc it is not hard to see there was already attraction between them.

1. the club scene in episode one. jordan couldn’t take their eyes off marie in that one scene and DIDN’T until andre caught them staring (you all know what i’m talking about…yeah, she’s cool)

2. episode two, when jordan confronts marie about taking all the credit, there was MEGA TENSION especially when jordan grabs marie’s arm and she turns around to jordan who has shifted…marie had the SAME look on her face then as she did in the hallway scene after the whole “since when do you care about anyone not named jordan” exchange. girlie was having a mini sexuality crisis then and there and you can’t convince me otherwise.

3. episode three, i mean we can all talk about the tension between them when jordan walks in the gala, glaring at marie, but i’ve always loved the scene after marie and cate are bonding over similar trauma and jordan tries lightening the mood with a joke about killing their grandpa. marie’s suprised giggle and then the SMILE jordan gives her in response????? they were GONE for each other by then they just kept denying and ignoring it.

AND THIS ISN’T EVEN ALL THE EVIDENCE!!

there are plenty of other little moments and exchanges that definitely hint toward a marie and jordan romance, these are just the most glaringly obvious to ME. and while i do admit that i think limoreau may have been a little bit rushed this season, for anyone to say it came out of nowhere would be a straight up lie.

almost done with Marquess Wins a Wife LMAO sunny this book doesn't shy away from putting the obnoxious male lead through the wringer and making him grovel like yessss hit him again!! the narration feels realistic & natural but while we're in Luke's pov you can practically hear the writer going 'reader do you see this shit? dw we're gonna make him pay for it later' i loved it. and these kids are a riot, Luke taking L after L from 10-year-olds

it’s my favvvv part of aydra richard’s books. like “third act breakup/serious fight” happens in litchrally like EVERY romance novel which is Fine, that’s the genre, but then they almost never have the man do enough groveling or suffering to make up for it! and it weakens the romance for me. i love how she puts those men through the wringer bc it’s DESERVED. literally more books would benefit from including it. plus literally the best thing any book can do is let a woman be righteously angry . and she excels at that

This is weird, but I figured I'd ask someone who's in love and has a decent amount of friends instead of hoping for an answer from the void of Tumblr

Have you ever actually been able to guess at what someone's feeling just by looking into their eyes??? Or like, if they hiding something? Or are you just consciously/subconsciously taking in body language and facial expressions and you get good at reading all of that after knowing someone through enough experiences?

This might be a dumb question and the entire thing might be obviously a metaphor, but it's used so much and "the eyes are the window to the soul" makes it sound like you're literally reading it in someone cornea

Well. This is somewhat complicated by the fact that I’m neurodivergent. I’ve had to actively work toward the ability to read body language and understand what people are trying to communicate with facial expressions.

I probably wouldn’t have been able to as easily in my early twenties, but when you know someone well and have statted out social interactions then it’s definitely possible to read from peoples eyes.

When you love someone it gets much easier to read what they’re saying occularly, but in my experience people say more with their entire bodies rather than just their eyes. But everyone gets use some metaphors on occasion and hype up eyeball to eyeball speak.

What's your interpretation of the weird/annoyed look Five gets on his face when Tegan announces that she wants to rejoin the TARDIS at the end of Arc of Infinity? I know it was probably meant to be played for laughs, but it annoys me every time i watch that episode and i'm curious what headcanons people have about it.

My favourite thing I've read about it pointed out that the cybermen specifically used Tegan as a weakness against five, that she's what it took to manipulate him (and through no fault of either of them, Adric's death was part of those consequences.) The novelisation really goes in to the descriptions of the doctor transfixed with the blood running down Tegan's chin from her bitten lip, the building tension as the cybermen get closer and closer to killing her and he's shaking trying to hold himself back from admitting his hearts are so easy to twist, just by threatening his friends. (Does Nyssa ever leave the TARDIS when it's on the spaceship? The cybermen don't even know she exists til they come onboard do they?)

As for why he looks so annoyed? hmmm. Does anyone want someone around that constantly needles them? Really, I think pre Arc of Infinity that even though Tegan had chosen to stay, they still had that power imbalance or even just tension between them that she had not come on board willingly. So five is expecting that to be the continuing, I don't know, continuing manner between them and it hadn't been good. It had its moments (mainly in the audios) but as an arrangement it was not ideal as friends to explore the universe together, all that terrible beauty and awesome monsters.

But it doesn't continue on in that manner - oh they bicker and make faces at each other, sure, but Tegan's conscious decision to step back onto the TARDIS irons out those imbalances, removes that bitterness and the past of her aunt's death. So when he makes that wee face, it's in expectation of the previous status quo. And never let it be said that Tegan's one to do exactly what's expected of her.

Anyway I really hope this makes sense and I may add some more thoughts later but it's 1:50 am Christmas Eve and I couldn't sleep for thinking about this.

It's 2am I'm back. I feel like there's also this uneasiness in five about tegan, that mirror that no one likes being held up to themselves. Their similarities but the starkly different ways they express them must be exhausting to five. and here she is back again. To push and prod and challenge and be brashly beautifully glorious. wait. that last bit was the two am shipper coming out. Anyway they draw strength and resolve and anger from each other and Tegan was vital to five, from his first moments till his very last.

who's your favorite character to write

Hi Wil :D

my favourite character to write (in the Bakugan universe) is probably Dan. Which is kinda maybe obvious considering 100% of my fics revolve around him,,, writing him gives me energy which I am sorely in need of, and also when you look deeper at him he's just really babey and i lov him and canon did him so so dirty.

If I had to choose a canon character other than Dan, then probably... oh fuck they're all so good i love them so much... Shun, honestly. He's very interesting to me and in general a good source of conflict, and I can relate to him maybe equally as much as I relate to Dan. Also he and Dan go good together, whether you ship them like I do or not :') Also also he reminds me of my OC Lyron.
