Talked about this before but just,
Ponyboy as the gangs little brother… how he started as a tag along and then became a full fledged member without anything said at all.
All of them see not only that he’s young but how he’s different, his smarts but how gentle and understanding he is. He has a way of seeing the world most of them lost a long time ago that they want to protect in him. (Not only because good grades means he has a chance of ‘getting out’ but the idea of him ‘staying gold’ means he also brightens their worldview just a little more)
He’s young and new and while not innocent it’s the way they want to keep him from getting jaded. They can’t stop him from getting hurt entirely, he wouldn’t be a greaser if they could but… you look out for the little one.
It’s the way Pony confuses this at first thinking Johnnys the “little brother” when he’s not. He may be protected by the gang and they’re gentler than him but it’s in a different way. He’s 16 and he’s already been hurt - worse than most of them… that kind of protection is to make sure he doesn’t blow. Keep him safe within.
He’s the little brother and Johnny’s the pet but it’s not in a patronizing way at all. They’re a little more defensive but it’s the same principle of ‘you mess with one you mess with all’

literally atp my main desire for iwtv going forward is that they dont tone down the fact that everyone is obsessed with eachother. Yes, because thats how 70 percent of the plot happens in the first place but also because im so petty and the "who is in love with who" arguing makes me want to shoot this place up

Why can't queer heros be with queer heros. Like every single hero who is queer in DC is with a civilian, Tim drake, and Benard jon kent with Jay even Kate Kane was with a civilian. It was the commissioner, so at least she knew about the vigilante stuff, but you get my point.
Now I do adore these relationships and find the civilian x hero to be fun, but i also think it can be so messy and to me doesnt always feel genuine, like you love this person but your hiding a major part about you (and putting them in danger) . Some civilian relationships do work, but why does every single queer relationship have to be with a "non main character". Who we don't get to truly see in other comics or in their own comics
I just want queer heros to be with queer heros It's like Dick grayson can be with Kori and Baraba, and batman can be thrown at every hero who is a woman ever but never queer heros they are always with civilians.
And maybe that's because DC is too scared to make "too" many queer heros but it just feels so sad that we can't get all the fun, messy and sad tropes that come with a hero x hero relationship with all these wonderful queer characters
The only version we kinda have is harley and ivy which is good and I think we all appreciate but there is so many other confirmed queer charachters who are heros and not villains (anti heros now i believe though) I want so true heros to be queer I don't want our main queer charachters to be villains like it always is in all media
Why can't Tim and Kon date or Jon and Damien. Or idk wonderwoman since she's canonically bisexual but god forbid we let that woman date any woman. Let dick grayson be officially queer since he's on every single DC pride poster. Let him date a man. Or let Stephanie Brown be officially bisexual like many people, and even writers see her as and let her date Cass because people also see her as queer. Honestly, there are so many other charachters that I personally don't quite know well enough to write on. But either way, can we just please have queer heroes date other queer heros instead of being stuck in this shitty loop of Lgbtq heros can never be with other lgbtq heros
(If there are any hero x hero that are queer that I am uninformed about, please do tell me I would love to read about them and be proven wrong)

Our stories aren’t the same, but maybe we can understand eachother regardless.
Here it is! Oh my goodness this took FOREVER but I’m really happy with the result (especially the cover!) I wanted to make a small comic exploring John’s boundaries and baby steps in trust and comfort, Caro’s transition, and how much things have changed in the many years they were apart before reconnecting. There’s always going to be new things when there’s almost a decade between the last time you saw someone. For some reason I decided it needed to be full color. Anyway enjoy this tender moment disguised as a thirst trap. ✨
I think this little life snippet stands alone, but of course if you want to know more about them, they are side characters in my webcomic Seemingly Dark, and the mains in my webcomic Mil-Liminal, both can be read on Webtoon and Tapas.
John (sometimes Sully) is he/him gnc grey ace and Caro (sometimes Angel that’s not their dead name though) is they/them transmasc nonbinary
Edit: fucked up a word in the last panel, fixed!

What's your favorite DnDads Players vs. DM hostility. I'll go first mine's when the dm straight up wrote one of his pcs out of existence and made up a whole new guy that took his place and then called up the brother of the the player whose character got evaporated to play as a new member in the party.

The real loss of Capcom putting Kristoph in the basement is that we can no longer get any more scenes or context about the weird gay shit he and Phoenix had going on. I think they painted eachothers nails and shotgunned cigarettes together during the late hours and explored eachothers bodies once or twice, you know what I mean. I just feel like we could have had a scene where Phoenix talks about him in passing and says some shit like how when they drank together they only used one glass between the two of them; both because they were close and because it guaranteed to Phoenix that he wouldn't be poisoned by Kristoph if they were using the same glass, and then apollo looks at him like he just said he kissed his old boss with tongue. I just think it would be funny, you know
