✍️ Describe some of the major themes or motifs apparent in your ship's story or relationship.

For Vil/Danica

I’m not sure how I would describe this, but there are three prominent themes in Vil and Danica's relationship. The first is how preconceived notions about people can affects ones life and how they see themselves and others. The second is accepting and valuing when something beautiful is right in front of you and not wishing it could be different. 

And the third and largest theme is the freedom brought about by true, unconditional love. Vil longs to break free from his villanous mold and take on the role of a hero and Danica longs to be free from Fiona’s shadow and mature as her own kind of performer and person. Through ups and downs, in different ways, both ultimately find freedom through each others love. 

The longer I think about their relationship, the more I realize that their story is actually an inverse of Swan Lake even though, believe it or not, that was NEVER my intention. This inverse has Vil in the role of the White Swan, cursed though his constant typecasting and inability to break free from his public image to become the hero he wants to be. He also embodies some elements of the prince in how his initial feelings for Danica are extremely idealized because he sees her as a “perfect [white] swan” devoid of flaws and therefore the perfect person for him to be a hero to. Unfortunately, not only was Danica unable to break his curse, by becoming a black swan, she reinforced it in the worst way possible, devastating him in the process. And Vil’s continued chasing of this idea of this perfect being to love only drives Danica further from him and nearly comes at the price of her life. 

The only thing Danica was able to break was Vil’s illusion’s of her as a fairy tale damsel But Danica in turn had her own illusions about Vil before coming to NRC that are also broken once she begins to know him as a person and not as a celebrity. The truth is, Vil is not a heinous villain and Danica is not a weak princess who needs to be protected. Only when they are able to see each other past their labels as full human beings can they truly be together. 

This answer could go on for another three or four pages because even as I write this I’m realizing even more about their relationship that I never thought about before but I will end it by saying this. The world might put them in narrow, unescapable boxes but ultimately, after accepting each other’s humanity and learning to value each other’s authentic selves, Vil and Danica both find freedom.

For Farron/Andrew

With Farron and Andrew, of course, the first story that comes to mind is Lady and the Tramp and many elements of their relationship have parallels to the relationships of their respective twists. This was indeed intentional but there are also similarities between their relationship and Rose and Jack’s in Titanic and also Romeo and Juliet. And I think they have the largest similarities with the latter but that was NOT intentional. 

Interestingly enough, the largest amount of pushback Farron and Andrew receive about their relationship isnt so much they’re gay or even their differences in social class as MOST people in their life are supportive of them. The hugest amount of pushback comes from the fact they attend rival schools and it’s made worse by the fact that Andrew is a star spelldrive player and may or may not have had a hand NRC’s most recent defeat at RSA’s hands. The one time Andrew visited NRC to see Farron on a weekend, he was rudely accosted by a bunch of members of NRC’s spelldrive team and a fight broke out. Farron usually has to be the one to visit Andrew and when they do hang out it’s off campus. And it’s all the more difficult for them right before spelldrive tournaments or school festivals. 

So yeah, there are some heavy Capulet vs Montague parallels in what keeps Farron and Andrew apart. But in regards to the relationship they’re actually twisted from, Farron definitely has something of an “uptown girl” feel to him, in love with a “backstreet guy” like Andrew. Andrew is also a lot more free-spirited and boisterous compared to the more romantically reserved Farron. But like with Lady and Tramp, opposites end up attracting and make for a very fun and sweet dynamic between Farron and Andrew that's entertaining, and romantic and never gets tiring for either of them.

PART ONE HERE

“You will become the protagonists of your own fairy tales…”

Hello everyone!

So…how about that most recent update in EN?! With everyone on the Isle of Sages currently in a deep slumber, I thought it’d be fun to explore just what my ocs are dreaming of. So I’ll be devoting the next few days of posts to just that! This part will be devoted to my four Pomefiore ocs. 

What is your oc’s ideal dream world?

Danica’s dream begins during spring break, she and Vil visit Pyroxene together. On their first night, they attend a production of Don Quixote by the Pyroxene Royal Ballet, with Fiona playing the principal female role. In Danica’s perfect dream world, Fiona is still alive and her ballet career is flourishing. She’s still the main face of Ledelle Cosmetics but encourages Danica’s desire to have more of a hand in helping their parents with the company. The day after the performance, Danica takes part in a spring promotional photoshoot and another commercial filming for her family. 

In real life, she did this with Neige (again), much to her and Vil’s dismay. But in this perfect dream world, Danica does this spring promotion with Fiona by her side. The sisters truly enjoy working together and the spring promotion is a massive success. Their parents are also much kinder and more supportive of Danica without having to constantly compare her to Fiona. Toward the end of spring break, Vil takes Danica to meet his father and he takes her jewelry shopping. Their relationship also flourishes and in this dream world, Danica never makes her transfer to Diasomnia, because the events between books 6 and 7 never happened.

It probably goes unsaid that in Sidonie’s perfect dream world, she is Pomefiore’s dorm leader. While she has found some fufillment as Vil’s vice dorm leader post book 6, taking his place is still her true goal. So her dream begins with the announcement that Vil has decided to step down. There is great pomp in her accession with Vil removing his crown and ceremoniously placing it upon her head. He tells her that while he didn’t think much of her at first, over the last year and a half, she has proven her intelligence and tenacity has earned Vil’s respect. He's confident he’s leaving Pomefiore in good hands. 

Afterward, the dorm holds a reception in her honor and Trey and Sinclair congratulate her on her promotion. When asked who she has in mind for her vice dorm leader, Sidonie says she’s thinking about either Farron or Epel. Of all my oc’s dreams, Sidonie’s is the one most likely to become reality in time. 

Like Taima, Farron’s life is already pretty satisfying. There are some things that could be better, but for the most part, Farron is pretty happy. But there is one thing in Farron’s life that he wishes could be different. One thing he wishes for more than anything else in the world. His dream begins with him, Sidonie, Danica and Maximilian sitting together at the spelldrive championship between NRC and RSA. Danica and Maximilian cheer wildly for Heloise when she takes the field but Farron is only watching Andrew who, in Farron’s perfect dream world, is an NRC student playing on their team.

 Andrew initially wanted to attend NRC but it’s implied that he couldn’t afford to go and the headmage of RSA offered him a full scholarship to play spelldrive. Andrew’s skills prove instrumental and for the first time in decades, NRC wins. At the celebrations later while everyone is congratulating Andrew and the other NRC players, Andrew opts to spend most of his time with Farron, culminating with them finally sharing their first kiss. Little does Farron know, somewhere else on the Isle of Sages, Andrew is dreaming of something very similar, with Farron being the one to attend RSA. 

Maximilian is another one who is pretty satisfied with his life and any changes he’d make aren’t very dire. His dream also begins during spring break with Jade and Floyd inviting him to visit the Coral Sea. Jade gives Maximilian a potion to help him breathe underwater and he has an incredible time exploring the ocean and collecting gems and other minerals that can’t be found on land.

For some, the holidays are all about frankincense and myrrh, while for others, they're all about Hallmark hunks and her. If you fall into the latter camp, you may want to make like Santa and get thee to New Jersey this December.

Christmas Con New Jersey has already revealed plans to reunite the cast of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation — Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Randy Quaid and Juliette Lewis will all be there — along with 15 fan-favorite actors from across the Hallmark, Great American Family and Lifetime holiday cinematic universe. But PEOPLE now gets to exclusively reveal 14 more stars set to take the stage.

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixon: Move over. We're about to unleash our own list of Santa's helpers.

Melissa Joan Hart, Alicia Witt and Catherine Bell will be joined by fellow festive ladies Nikki DeLoach, Erin Cahill, Melissa Claire Egan, Danica McKellar, Katrina Law and Brooke D'Orsay.

As for the gents, Cameron Mathison, Kristoffer Polaha, Jesse Hutch, Will Kemp and Wes Brown will be decking, er, walking the halls of the Expo Center.

This lineup means a number of this year's holiday movie costars will be at the event together. D'Orsay and Kemp are paired up for A Not So Royal Christmas. The already announced Lacey Chabert will get to see Brown, her Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up costar.

And Cahill and Bell will get to say hello to their Christmas on Cherry Lane costar Jonathan Bennett.

Meanwhile. here's hoping Great American Family actors McKellar and Jen Lilley bring their dancing shoes. McKellar will be cutting a rug next month in Swing into Romance, while Lilley is costarring with Matthew Morrison in the upcoming A Paris Christmas Waltz.

Other stars previously announced include the Three Wise Men and a Baby gents — Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, and Paul Campbell — as well as Kimberley Sustad, Victor Webster, Cindy Busby, Brennan Elliott, Autumn Reeser, Taylor Cole, Steve Lund, Jesse Metcalfe and Benjamin Ayres (Romance University gear, anyone?).

In addition to the stars Christmas Con is a winter wonderland complete with a tree lighting, a holiday market full of local artists and vendors, photo ops and other activities.

Tell me more 'bout your OCs! :D

Alright, time to talk about the boys!

Here's some pretty basic info about the two main characters from the two stories me and my friend are working on!

I'll start with the protagonists of the story where currently working on!

Alternative: (We're still trying to pick the color schemes, your input is very welcome!)

Zane (Left) and Andrew (Right)

Zane is a pretty calm and logical guy. He's more street smart then book smart. His goal is to stop the enslavement of humans by spirits that come from another world (the spirit realm, It's gonna get a new name soon) without killing them.

Andrew, on the other hand, is very shy, introverted and anxious as all hell. He's more book smart then street smart. He believes that Zane is usually right about most things so he just follows his lead.

Both of their families are pretty tradicional and It's one of the more personal conflicts the boys will have to face in the story.

Now for the protagonists of the story that's currently on hold;

Rainer (Left) and Kyle (Right)

Rainer is a shadow person (not sure if you know what those are, if you don't, then I'll be happy to tell you!) who was raised by two humans and has a couple of siblings (some human and some not). He's a young adult (19-20) and he's usually pretty relaxed, mischievous, fun loving and loves his family a whole lot. Along with his childhood friend Kyle, he's a monster hunter. They're job is to hunt down and kill monsters that have been attacking various dimensions.

And Kyle, he's a human and he didn't exactly have the best childhood. He has a twin sister named Danica (she's the antagonist of the story). Kyle takes his job very seriously and can come off as cold and rude. Humans in this world have powers and Kyle's is strength.

Okay, that's the last of my last thoughts! Now it's time for the. . .

REVIEW

I LOVED this episode!! I thought it was great :DD. I honestly didn't expect to see the others (besides Shea) today, and while it means this review will take longer lol (although for my own sake I'm trying to shorten them xD), it was a pleasant surprise :D.

So, quick note on Andrews! An icon as always, helped Lim realize how she felt about the Danica situation, and support Park on the surgery <3. He was there more than he sometimes is lol, but mostly he was just kinda chillin :). Still, helpful :D

A bit on Perez and Jerome - I MISS YOOUUUU <333 😭❤️. XD. But, there just wasn't room this episode for them to fit in - we barely got Jordan (I'll touch on her in a second). And yes I'm aware Jerome isn't even a mine character, shush xDD. But, I'm sure (okay not actually but we'll probably see at least Perez lol) they'll be back next week :D. I look forward to their return :)!

Jordannn :D. We didn't see much of her this episode, but obviously, I love her as always 🥰🥰. I think most of what we saw of her was suggesting the incorrect approach (xd, but still good to remember they're not perfect especially her and Asher since they're still residents), and her going 👀😳 at other stuff going on lol xD. But, as always, a queen :))).

Glassman <33. He was so sweet and supportive this episode :)! I'm glad he helped with the surgery, and advice for Shaun of course - and paying for it XDD. But y'all, that scene with Lea 😭😭😭. That was the kicker :')). Especially considering they've always had sort of a love-hate relationship. Well, maybe not hate (for a while anyway), but they're not the closest, and this was just really great to see :')). Especially because (and no offense to Shaun on this lol) it wasn't over Shaun this time :'). Like, they weren't bonding over him, this was something completely separate, and I love that <3. Glassman talking about Maddie 😭😭😭? Amazing ❤️❤️❤️. And that HUG 😭😭😭😭❤️??? SUPERB 😭😭🥰🥰❤️❤️🥰❤️❤️❤️. XD Anyway, I loved him this episode <333.

Park aaannd Morgan :))! Y'all were wild once again this episode xD. That argument after meeting with Andrews 😳. You could just FEEK the vitriol coming from Morgan. But, I'm glad everything worked out with the patient (Palo, I think?), and with them :)). It was nice to just move on from that, with apologies of course. And it sucks for Park with Kellen not coming home :(, even though it is the reality :/. Doesn't stop it from sucking though, does it, Park xD? But, anyway, it was also nice to see Morgan support him and be kind regarding that <3. And then of course, the news that Morgan's egg implantation failed :(((. That is so awful 😭😭. I really hope she gets another chance and that it ends up working that time :'(( <333. And of course, it was really nice seeing Park immediately going to her side (not quite literally but almost/kinda lol), being kind, and being there for her ❤️❤️. Park saying he was there if she needed a friend, and Morgan saying she just might take him up on that :'DDD. Amazing <333.

Asher!! My poor boy xdd. Man was going through it this episode, lol /hj /lh. He kinda was, anyway lol. I'm glad he didn't just let Danni slide - he knew, and there wasn't any hiding that. It was also nice just seeing him be knowledgeable :D. It's also fun to see that for any of them, especially outside of like, brainstorming sessions. Anyway, it sucks that he's in probation :(( (and has the note in his file and whatnot), but he was smart with the way he did things, and they did still save a man's life :'D. With the situation they were in, I don't think he really could've done any better, but he definitely could've done worse (punishment/end result wise), so that's good :DD. I don't know if we'll see much of the impact of it, except maybe an odd mention, since the probationary period isn't too long in terms of a tv show. But, since Lea's pregnant, you can't have things take place too far apart. So, hey, who knows ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠∵⁠ ⁠)⁠┌? I will say that I'm torn between wanting to see a bit of the repercussions and not seeing them, since it would be kind of painful lol xd. Plus it would be a reminder of Danni, which is sad now of course :(. Anyway, I always love seeing Asher support his friends - it's just one of the things he does :) - and the same goes for him with Danni this episode. Like he said: he didn't wanna desert her :). I think that's great, really sweet <3 ❤️. Long story short lol, I love him 🥰🥰🥰!!

Lim :))! I think she did the right thing in "losing" the bullet. And honestly? Her reactions to the entire situation were pretty reasonable. She was concerned about Danni (:D), she was angry but decided to operate anyway, and she wanted to remain Danni's friend but knew she had to fire her. It sucks, though :((. I really hope we'll still see her occasionally since she is Lim's friend, because as she mentioned when trying to convince Lim, she's been really vital in this whole process. It's a tough one (I'm speaking from experience here, even if I'm not wheelchair bound), and it helps to have someone who gets it to go through it with you <33. Anyway, I feel bad for Lim 😭😭. I really do hope they can keep their friendship, it's so sweet :')). But yeah, I love her :'D <333.

Now, Lea and Shaun! I really loved their storyline today :D. Seeing it separate from everyone else's (I didn't even expect to see the others lol) was definitely interesting and I think it worked really well! Plus, their communication was so good :'DD (it always is these days :)) ). But yeah, I loved their discussions, like over Lea's feelings, and I feel like it was some really important stuff to acknowledge. Yes, they have fears, and yes they're going to make mistakes, but they will try their absolute best, and that's all they can do :')) ❤️. They love each other so much 😭😭❤️. And I am sure they're going to love their son that much too :')))). Also, AAH they were so adorable with Buddy this episode 😭😭❤️❤️🥰. I honestly do hope they get a dog sometime in the future (maybe not too close to the baby being born, before or after, because that would be a lot lol), I think it would be really cute and amazing to see :)). Plus they just seem like they would love that so much 😭 xD 🥰. Anyway, it's too bad that they couldn't take Buddy home, but I'm glad he got back to his family :'). And again, just to reiterate: Lea's conversation with Glassman = gold 🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️😍.

Lastly, we of course have Danica Powell. I loved her this episode :'). And yes, I'm going to keep using her full name for the drama lol. It's her last day, let me (and her) have this xD. Anyway, I think this was honestly totally in character, and even though it's a shame she has to go, this makes sense. It was a good way to go out too - saving a life at the expense of her career. I mean, obviously you don't want to lose your job over it, but nonetheless xD. She was so dedicated to helping Vince, and she was willing to do pretty much anything <3. I'm glad she had Asher, and to a certain extent Lim, to support her this episode :'). But I am gonna miss her so much 😭😭. We haven't even seen that much of her, and I feel like we definitely could've had some interesting storylines in the future (we have already), but alas, it is what it is. I will say that it's interesting she leaves soon after Lim regains some mobility, but I don't think her friendship with Lim and the role disability plays in that was the only factor lol. Anyway, I'll miss her ❤️❤️❤️🥰. She was great, and fun, and I also loved the disability rep :'D. Like I said even just this episode with the little scooter thing - it's the little things that can really make it sometimes :)). Besides all that, she was cool and knowledgeable and confident. She was steadfast in her beliefs and opinions, and even if sometimes I thought she needed to be a little more willing to bend, I can respect it. Danni will be missed by me :'( :')). I love her ❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰.

Overall, I really loved this episode. I liked each of the different storylines, I thought the cases were really good and interesting, and even though there were some people that it fell short on, I liked the focus around on most of the cast of characters :)). Like I've already said, I expected this episode to just be Shaun and Lea, but it was so much more and I'm glad for that fact :D. I really enjoyed it 🥰. Rip to Jordan, Perez, and to a certain extent Jerome - we miss y'all and hopefully we'll see you again (with larger parts, in Jordan's case) soon lol <3. And of course rip to Danni, much more literally, considering her time on the show and her career xD. We'll miss her <3. But yeah, I thought that all the storylines were great and managed to all fit into and episode and flow together pretty well :). Despite being all completely separate lol. Anyway, I really loved this episode :D!

So yeah! I really loved the episode, and I'm mostly nervous for the next one. This has been my review of. . .
