the amount of thoughts i have for ruby/styx is gargantuan levels of cringe
#me washing the dishes: so they are bitter exies who didn't actually even break up just got separated by the whole vampire fall slumber#and ruby (and the others) in fact abandoned him to survive on his own#and he did and thats why hes the nightmarshal after all#so he fucking hates every vampire guts and ruby especially and when they come after him he gets it all out#and they deflect and humor him#while they beat the shit out of another#in the end styx is on the ground defeated and thats where the homoerotism peaks#they offer to take him back like the old times and kiss him (while kinda lifting him off the ground by the jaw and stepping on him)#(but you know he likes it)#and he bites their tongue#so they laugh and suck him dry to restore their powers and then carry him to wherever his coffin is stashed so he can rise again at dawn#and they can work thru it all#problematic faves#they both have low empathy cause vampires so he forgives and forgets (but they better watch out hes gonna get them back later)#i hc that the withered vampires are either newly awakened vampires he subdued or his old troops he fed on#this has been rie takes v rising man too seriously bc hes tall and has long dark hair cringe hour
