Can you maybe write something (if you are okay with RPF ofc) where Reader is a new actress who's taking part in season 2 filming and she likes Ewan, and he is nice to her but kinda closed off (bc we all now he likes to keep private). And they go to some kind of party with all cast and crew and she sees him being comfortable and open with Phia, and gets really upset. But in the end, it turns out that they are just friends and he was asking Phia for some advice coz he also likes Reader. Just some angst with fluff pls? 🙏

Alys Rivers [Ewan Mitchell x Fem!Reader]

Summary: You got casted as Alys Rivers, also known as Aemond Targaryen’s love interest. As you continue to work with Ewan, you become close with him but you couldn’t help but wonder that he doesn’t really like you because of how closed off he seems from you. However you learn the truth at a party….

You smiled while pushing back a strand of the dark haired wig as they set up the scene on the Harrenhal set. You were a little nervous joining the cast of House of the Dragon, but everyone seemed to be so friendly and welcome you with open arms.

You were playing the role of Alys Rivers, the bastard daughter to Lord Lyonel Strong and the love interest to Prince Aemond Targaryen. You honestly didn’t think you were going to get the role but after reading the book and studying the character, you were confident.

“Hey,” You greeted with a small smile seeing Ewan coming over in his Aemond get up, donned with the black and gold armor from the book and his signature eyepatch.

Ewan returned your smile and looked down. He always seemed to have that nervous little tick and you found it absolutely adorable. He nodded a bit in response and looked over when the director walked over to describe the upcoming scene.

You enjoyed having most of your scenes with Ewan, knowing there were to be more in the upcoming seasons as well. He was a wonderful actor, although he always seemed a bit put off by you. He was friendly, but he rarely spoke around you. You have gotten him to open up a few times and you enjoyed his company though.

“Hey!” You heard a familiar voice call once the director left you and Ewan alone.

You turned and smiled, waving at the sight of Tom and Phia, already dressed as Aegon and Helaena for the day. "Hey, guys!"

"So, I don't know if our cute little Ewan here," Tom began, wrapping an arm around Ewan's shoulders who chuckled. "But we are going out tonight for a little cast party and we would love for you to come. Mainly because you support the Green cause of course."

You giggled, copying Tom by wrapping an arm around Phia. The two of you were close although you had no scenes together. She was always cheery and outgoing and you knew you could count on her if you needed anything.

"Well, I would do anything for the Green cause," You replied with a small smirk.

"Yay!" Phia exclaimed with a giggle passing her lips as she wrapped both of her arms around you. "Let me come and pick you up tonight, okay?"

You smiled and nodded, your eyes wandering over to Ewan, Tom's arm still around him. "Seven sounds good."

Tom smirked and looked up at Ewan as you and Phia walked away for a bit to discuss about tonight. "Are you ever going to open up to her, Mitchell?"

Ewan smiled, letting his eye wander over you while your back was turned before he blew out a breath. "Eventually."

"You are never going to get her if you can't get past small talk," He teased and laughed when Ewan pushed him.

"Shut up," Ewan replied laughing before he let out a breath, looking back over to you with furrowed brows.

“Do I look okay?”

Phia looked over as she fixed her blue top with a small smile. "You look beautiful as always," She replied before tilting her head. "You look a little nervous, trying to impress anyone?" She asked with a slightly taunting tone to her voice.

You rolled your eyes but you couldn't help the blush that was creeping onto your cheeks. "I'm not trying to impress anyone," You replied a bit sheepishly while you looked back in the mirror to fix your hair.

Phia smirked lightly and let out a small hum. "Whatever you say, Y/N."

You looked over at her noticing the knowing look she had on her features. You thought you were good when it came to hiding your feelings for Ewan, although you couldn't help but think he doesn't really like you. The two of you were the only ones that seemed to be oblivious to each other's feelings, not even realizing that Tom and Phia were trying to play matchmaker.

"Come on," You said taking your jacket with a small laugh. "We're going to be late."

"You know what they say," Phia began hooking her arm with yours. "Only the best show up fashionably late."

The party seemed lively by the time you and Phia showed up. Your eyes scanned the scene noticing how everyone was mingling although the butterflies erupted in your stomach as soon as you saw Ewan standing with Tom. Ewan always had that effect on you.

Phia smirked as she looked over you noticing where your eyes were wandering. "Why don't we go and say hi to the boys?" She offered, nudging you a bit.

You snapped back into reality while you looked back at your friend. You smiled and shook your head. "I'm going to go get a drink. Do you want anything?"

Phia slowly nodded with a small smile. "I'm okay. Go and get a drink then we'll meet up."

You nodded while blowing out a breath as you watched her make her way over to the boys. You couldn't help but furrow your brows at the way Ewan's face lit up when Phia walked over and pulled her into a hug. He seemed so happy with her. You shook off the nerves and took a deep breath while heading over to the bar to get yourself a margarita.

As the night went on, you stayed in a corner a bit quiet. You were shy around everyone even if they accepted you with open arms. You couldn’t help but keep looking over at Ewan who seemed deep in conversation with Phia. Of course they were comfortable with each other, having worked together on the last season. You were new and still getting to know everyone.

“Everything okay?”

You jumped slightly seeing Tom next to you. “Oh my god, you scared me.”

Tom chuckled while wrapping an arm around you. “I’m like a ninja,” He said with a wink before sighing softly. “You just looked lonely, love. Besides, you won’t stop looking at Ewan all night.”

You felt your cheeks heat up and looked down with furrowed brows. “Is it that obvious?”

“Very,” Tom replied with a small smile. “You think you hide the looks you give him but it’s so very obvious.” He laughed when your cheeks became redder. “Why don’t you go and talk to him?”

“Because.” You groaned a bit. “It’s not easy to just talk to someone that you have feelings for.”

“Oh, come on. You two are going to have a bedroom scene together. Why not practice now?” He teased and laughed when you hit his chest. “I mean, you never know his feelings until you talk to him.”

You frowned a bit. “But, him and Phia clearly seem comfortable with each other.”

Tom chuckled a bit at the slight tone of jealousy in your voice. “Just go and give it a shot, Y/N.”

You sighed looking up at the blonde man before slowly nodding. You began to walk over with Tom, smiling at the two.

“You can do it,” You heard Phia whisper to Ewan causing you to furrow your brows.

Ewan let out a nervous sigh while looking over at you. “Y/N…I was wondering….” He began looking down at his hands. “I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me. I just…I really like you and I want to get to know you better….” He began to ramble looking back up at you.

You smiled lightly, finding his rambling to be adorable. You nodded while taking his hands in yours. “I would love to,” You said feeling the butterflies in your stomach fluttering around.

Ewan returned your smile. “Great! How about…next Saturday at seven?”

“Sounds like a date,” You replied and giggled when Phia and Tom erupted in cheers. You couldn’t help but blush wondering what this could lead to between you and your costar.

sherlock & co. review from an insane person (me) coz this is like. the 25th? sherlock adaptation i've checked out so ofc i have opinions on everything ever. and ik ppl who work on indie podcasts browse tumblr sometimes so just in case you work on this DON'T click keep reading, this post is not for youuu shoo. thanks x

ok so far it's like. fine? which is lowkey sad coz i wish it was smtg i really liked but it hasn't gripped me yet which is a shame but yknow. early days. i'm giving it time since it's only 15 episodes so far

my main issue is like. i really wish it wasn't so obviously influenced by bbc but it just so clearly is which is a shaaame like it's better than bbc in every aspect but yknow. not a high bar to clear. like it kinda feels like they liked a lot of things abt bbc and set out to fix the bad parts (h&w friendship being nonexistent, the mysteries being shit) but just kept the rest? in some places keeping things that were invented by bbc which is. baffling tbh

i'm not really picky when it comes to h&w personalities like i think it's fine to just do whatever you want w them, i think it's really fun when an adaptation gives them different personalities than what you're used to but, and this is where it feels far too bbc-ish for comfort, i just don't like it when sherlock is a cunt for no reason? like. he's not a mean person he's only mean in bbc coz moffat thought house md was cool and ripped it off. can we stop making him mean pleeeease 😭 he's just some guy..................

h&w relationship wise it's like... ok so i tend to go into adaptations with a fully clean slate so like i never let my general attachment to them influence how i view them in specific adaptations, the work itself needs to sell me on both the characters and the relationship and like... here neither of those really happened yet which makes me sad coz i think by now it should've but i'm giving it time. at least they're friends and i like that watson is useful for cases/knows things holmes doesn't sometimes coz thats like. such an essential element to sh stories for me and a loooottt of adaptations tend to just completely forget it so that's a win but idk if anything they're too tame? like i dont expect a romance but they can't just be casual friends they need to be bat shit crazy about each other. to me. but like maybe that'll develop over the rest of the podcast we'll see

kinda related to that point but case-wise i think holmes is a bit too ahead of everyone else sometimes which isn't inherently a problem but it does once again smell of bbc which like. noone should ever emulate moffat writing don't do that 🙏 god bles. but i've been able to solve every case along with/before the mcs which is like. thee point of mystery stories for me so yea i really like the stories themselves so far, especially the way they manage to make them solvable even without visuals or narration. OH and i almost forgot but i rly like the soundtrack, i love it when sh soundtracks have a heavy emphasis on violins coz. yknow

howeverr i am on my hands and knees begging them not to give watson a girlfriend tho like please oh myfffucking god . obvs watsonlock doesn't usually factor into my enjoyment of adaptations given that like. y'know. out of the hundreds out there theres only two where either of them is even gay so it's not something i expect nor require but like. to me it is essential that these two ppl are insane abt each other and don't really have anyone else, definitely noone important. like even the rdj movies got this despite ritchie's obsession w the 2 men 1 woman dynamic so idk why i'm constantly having to wage a war against random unnecessary romances for either watson or, god forbid, holmes. when the only interesting relationship either of these men have is with each other. that one granada holmes quote about them choosing not to include mary coz holmes and watson dont need anyone else etc etc. like i seriously dislike it when they introduce anyone else like cmonnnnnn thog dont care

anyway tldr. i guess if asked to pick a short description i'd say. promising? i hope it's gonna be good in the long run. the way they do mysteries is already something i like so. i hope they keep that up and i hope the h&w relationship evolves into something i enjoy coz so far i'm like. i can see the bones of smtg i'll potentially like but it's not there yet. but also like. this is an indie production i'm listening to for free so ion wanna rip into it these are mainly just what i liked/disliked based on the preferences i developed with this one quick trick (grow up completely insane abt sherlock holmes -> consume every adaptation that you can get your paws on -> no profit)

Heyaaa~ I hope you're doing great today. I just recently read your works and you instantly became one of my favorite writers 🌻 I'm new here in Tumblr so I don't know if I'm requesting the right way here so you can ignore this if I'm going against the rules. Anyway, may I kindly request an angst/comfort about close friends Itto and gn reader?

Reader was in a dark alley and encountered some creeps who wanted to harass them. The creeps asked if the reader has a partner or someone they like and they said yes. Unbeknownst to the reader's knowledge, Itto was just nearby and ready to jump in the scene but stopped when he heard their friend's answer to the creepy guys. He was confused why he suddenly felt heavy about you liking some possibly another guy and became curious about who is it.

On the other hand, the creepy guys are slowly getting closer to the reader and they said "He's an oni so don't come any closer or you'll regret it!" something like that lmao. The creeps didn't believe it for some reason (either they came from another nation or etc. You can insert your own idea 💓)

I'm sorry if this is a bit long TT_TT coz this scenario is a courtesy of my dream this morning 🙈 I woke up on the last part so I didn't get to know Itto's reaction upon that statement and how it will end. SECRETS TO TELL..?

character pairing: itto x gn!reader

genre: angst -> fluff & comfort

summary: having taken a detour to your home, you run into some interesting treasure hoarders.

a/n: you’re doing it correctly :)) & i took this idea and ran with it..hope i did your dream justice, my love <3 (this came out fairly large..) i also switched a dialogue around slightly. not too much !!

“ha! i’ve won again.” you grinned, watching itto throw his head back in despair. you had quite the winning streak in this game of cards you and itto were playing.

“one more round! i’ll beat you, i swear!” the oni protested, warranting a rematch. you could only chuckle at his eagerness. “i would, but it’s getting late out, itto..” you sighed, picking up your bag and jacket.

you watched as he looked up. it did look pretty dark out. probably already past 8. “you have a point..” he said, standing himself. “perhaps we could play tomorrow?” you suggested, watching a smile perk up on his face at the opportunity to spend his time with you.

it almost made you feel a certain kind of special. almost.

“well that’s that. we’ll meet back up here tomorrow afternoon!” he agreed. the two of you hugged, and he watched as you began walking off to take your usual walk back home.

he couldn’t help but fall further in love with you as your skin and the moon made the most graceful combination. he felt like he was blessed to see such a sight.

it almost made him wish you were his already. he’s not quite ready to confess yet. too early, he’d say.

looking down at the ground to pick up the cards, he realized something — they were yours.

“shit.” he mumbled, picking them up hastily and following where he thinks you went, come to find there was a detour due to the overwhelming population of hilichurls and samachurls.

he would’ve offered to help, but he really wanted to get your cards back. he’d hate for you to come out in the cold again. the detour to your home was a bit sketchy though. a dark alleyway, filled with a bunch of junk.

not only that, but he heard your faint yelling in the distance. disappearing into the darkness, he followed your voice.

once he found you, he saw quite average looking treasure hoarders. the type he’d occasionally see roaming inazuma. however, the event transpiring was anything but average..

listening quietly, he watched the scene go down, careful to be ready to shut the situation down if anything gets out of hand.

“what’s someone like you doing out this late? hmm?” one of the men asked, circling around you.

“trying to get home. now would you please-“ you said, walking to leave them there, though being stopped.

“c’mon. we just wanna talk a bit, yeah? let’s get to know one another.” one of them said, smiling with a false sense of innocence.

“mhmm, have anyone you like? eyes on anybody particular?” another asked, hands on his hips. hesitantly nodding, you decided to simply entertain them until they either got bored of you or left an opening for you to escape.

from the sidelines, itto could feel his heart weighing down on him. he almost felt played, if he hadn’t remembered you were best friends., despite the fact that he always winced internally at that label.

“is that so?” he mused, hands behind his back, the other standing beside you. “he anybody important? or rather, wealthy at all? what’s his life like.” the other pressed.

thinking about it, you could somewhat see through the little plan they had. seeing as though they were treasure hoarders, they most likely planned to rob whoever you described.

with the questions you were asked, it was quite easy to tell. ask anybody about anyone they had eyes on, get them to talk about them a bit and have a general idea of their life or habits. once that’s done, they just have to go look for the matching appearance and do their so-called ‘job’.

you couldn’t help but feel his angsty tone press down on you, pressure growing. what if you’d told too much? would it even be right to answer? thinking about it, itto would be able to handle his own. he’s told you many stories before.

“an oni,” you said briefly. “can i go now?” you asked impatiently. you didn’t feel like fighting, not in this cold.

they shook their heads. “not yet. oni’s don’t exist, don’t you know?” the one on the right sighed. “an urban myth at most.”

you were confused until you realized. the use of oni’s would be in scary stories to tell children, and merely considered child’s play. something used to keep kids from going out late.

however, never exactly recognized as an actual creature, let alone being.

the one on your left chuckled. “I’m sure you’ve already caught onto our plan, or so it seems. so, im only gonna say it once,” he sighed, removing his hands from behind his back. grabbing your arm harshly, he pulled you close to whisper in your ear. “give me a name or you’ll regret it.”

pushing him away, you began running only to be tripped and pulled back. hand wrapping around your throat, you struggled as you were held up. “tell me a name.”

falling down, you choked as you saw the man who was once holding you by your throat on the ground, holding his head.

with itto standing over him, broken bottle shards on the ground. the other man came from behind him, though to little to no avail after being backhanded to the floor as well.

looking back at the man on the ground, he’d passed out from what you’d like to think, a concussion. the next thing you saw was the once aggressive oni meeting you eye-to-eye.

he couldn’t help but give you a silly grin. he could never think to be the least bit of aggressive with you.

“itto?” you asked, confused. when did he get here? how long was he there, and what exactly did he hear?

“heya..” he said shyly, what was once silly turned shy and hesitant in an instant. he held the cards up beside his face. “you..left it.” he told you, sliding them beside you. “so uh..” he began, ready to ask the question he’s been so eager to find an answer to. “i’d like to think..you have somethin’ to tell me?”

the two of you sat silently, not knowing how to communicate at the moment.

one second passed.

squeezing your eyes shut you kissed him quickly and turned from him, sitting criss crossed.

you felt yourself blush once you heard him chuckle silently, only to find arms wrap around you lovingly. “i love you too.”

Hey, to all the people reading this post. You see, I've always been a loving fan of Disney, my childhood is based on those movies, my values came from these films. Lately, (and by "lately" I mean ~2017+) I've had this feeling, like I don't like the Disney new movies. I thought to myself many times "maybe my time has come? Maybe I've just grown? But no, I've seen other people comments and I know I'mnot the only one who feels that way (also, good movies are ageless, they are somethings meant to bring joy to everyone). I couldn't quite put my finger on my reasons until now, and now I'll try to share them with you. I'll do my best since I'm really not the best with words (I mean, please, I'm trying to make a point, don't leave me, I'm doing my best, just read it until the end), and I will present you a few reasons why I think what I think (and yes, I downloaded Tumler so I could say this).

1. First of all- the world around, the brutalityand roughness of the scenes. You see, Disney became so careful, the world became so careful - we're so afraid to offend or hurt someone that we lost what makes us people.

Old Disney knew how to captivate us using the world, they knew how to create a terrifing environment, one that will hold- both us and the "hero" - on a tight leash, I mean, look at this:

And you can find so many more of them if you actually look for them - could you compare them to nowadays Disney? The ones trying so hard to caress and shield us from these horrific sights?

It's so brutal, yet it does so much justice to the movies, gives so much depth - your heroes deserve this kind of treatment, they deserve your soul and pain.

2. The main character's breaking point.

A good character is made to be broken, to be humbled, to understand they aren't what they wanted and hoped to be - only from there could they learn to be something more, to develop further.

Old Disney knew how to break their characters- they knew where and how to do that, they knew what meant the most to their heroes and how to take that away.

For example- Mulan, after her identity as a woman is revealed. Mulan is finally looking at herself in the mirror, and she knows she did what she did to prove herself she is valuable, that she is something more, and yet she is nothing now:

Or here, when Judy understands she did the total opposite of what she dreamed of - she "ruined" the world instead of keeping it safe, she wasn't worthy of being called a hero, and even more than that, she hurt her best friendin the process:

Even here - when Elsa almost kills the people who came to hunt her - she knows she became the monster she feared the most to be since childhood when she accidentally hurts Anna, she became her very fear itself:

I mean- just look at her face, she is terrified of herself, which leads her to surrender- to lose her spirit and will to protect and isolate herself from the world. She is scared.

That's the moment - that is when we can finally see our hero for what he is- a human being, that's what makes them so relatable. This moment is one of the most beautiful ones in every movie (and call me a sadist coz I just LOVE to see my hero fall apart)

3. (And last cuz I'm to tired and lazy to write anything more) the villains.

A good hero deserves a good villain. A villain is their nemesis, what haunts them and forces them to develop. A ridiculous villain only mocks the hero, the love you have for your hero.

Old Disney made villains- and even more than that - they created nightmares, things that made us cheer for the hero and hope for his victory.

You all know what I'm talking about. You all know those people, those who made you tremble in fear, holding you awake at night.

A villain is made to make the hero shine, all while making him face difficulties that makes him human.

Those guys are ruthless, they were born and made to kill, manipulate, destroy and humble the hero and force him out of his comfort zone. A good and cruel villain is as important as a good hero- you owe them at least this much. They were not made for us to take pity or relate to them, (though most of them has quite an indeed relatable past) they were made to antegonize.

I just feel like recent movies (excluding movies made for fluff and family things [Elemntal was actually so cute]) just can't do this, and I wish Disney would just go back to what they used to be, what made them "Disney", what made you and me love them.

hello hello hello. i absolutely love your hot takes on prapaisky so today im here to drop one of mine and ask your opinion on the same. as much as i want sky to seek help from the right person, go to therapy and start his healing journey (of course prapai has already helped in that quarter but i see most people want to SEE sky go to therapy), i personally think he's too stubborn to do just that and i don't mean this in a bad way. everyone has their coping mechanism and we know sky doesn't have the healthiest one but something about sky seeking professional help just doesn't sit right with me. i feel that apart from being extremely stubborn, he's also incredibly smart and terribly shy. stubborn because he will refuse therapy, smart because he knows how to deal with his trauma and exactly what needs to be done to heal (part of it includes climbing into prapai every chance he gets and clinging to prapai for the rest of their lives, among other things- and we know both of them absolutely love it), and shy because well that's pretty self explanatory. he has been dealing with it on his own all this time and he may have developed a few too many unhealthy habits but that's beside the point. now, considering how difficult it was for sky to open up to prapai in the first place (and for good reason), and just how much time it took for him to trust prapai, i don't think sky is the kind person who would want to discuss his trauma with just about anyone, it doesn't matter if the other person is a professional psychiatrist/psychologist with fifty degrees and what not. he did it with prapai because prapai proved to him just how much he loves and accepts sky for who he is. prapai has EARNED that privilege (yes it IS a privilege). it's PRAPAI!!!!! so i don't think sky will ever be enthusiastic about going to therapy. yes maybe it's not fair to prapai if sky decides to only rely on prapai. yes it's not fair to sky himself, it's not fair to their relationship but again that's beside the point. that's just the kind of person sky is. of course i could be wrong with my character analysis and i would really really want sky to go to therapy if it helps but idk this is my two cents or whatever ahhhhh im so sorry for the dump i just have too many ~thoughts~

So first things first sorry for the late reply. It was pretty late when I received this and I was so sleepy and I knew I wouldn't be able to answer it properly and you my dear who wrote this beautiful analysis deserves my full attention. So it's morning here btw I had to sleep on it coz the answer is pretty serious.

Ok do I want Sky to get therapy. Yes I absolutely do because I believe it would do him really good. But do I think he will go. Not really. But if we had a Lita S2 and they showed Sky in therapy I would be a very happy soul.

Now why I don't think Sky would go to therapy. I am Asian and in our culture Therapy and anything mental health related is considered a taboo. We are seen as weak for choosing to go to a professional to seek help. (Bunch of BS). And this is one factor. Another is just like you said Sky can be pretty stubborn and I believe by now he has developed some habits/techniques to help him with his trauma and sometimes for some people that's more than enough and it's what they choose to be comfortable with. Sky is someone who has major trust issues and like you said Sky won't trust a random person out of the blue to open up about his past. It took so much time and effort for Prapai to have Sky trust him and that is okay coz Sky can take as much time as he wants coz this is his story and he gets to decide when and where to tell Prapai. Rain whom he knew longer didn't even know about Sky's past until that awful night. And that's okay as well. Sky don't owe anyone anything. It's upto Sky to choose how he handles his trauma coz only he knows what he has been through and how much pain he has suffered. So if he believes that being with Prapai and being loved and cared for by him is enough to heal then we should respect that. And forcing him to go to therapy will only backfire and make him close himself off and we know Prapai would never force Sky to do anything that he doesn't want to. And if Sky decides that yes all he needs to move on and heal is time and his Prapai then Prapai will gladly be there for him no matter what. In fact Prapai would consider it as a privilege that Sky trusts him enough to accept Prapai's unwavering support.

Why I want Sky to be shown in therapy. Like I said mental health related issues are still considered a taboo in many places. So this could be a very good representation to show that going to therapy and seeking help is never a sign of weakness and that if you think you need help to be better then you should do so without the fear of being judged or alienated.

anon i don't think you realize what you've just unleashed BUT HERE WE GOO

i got a little excited so my rambling is going under the cut

so the basic premise is that nova is a literal star ( a protostar to be exact) and likes to take different forms that allows them to travel between different planets. their one dream was to travel to as many planets as possible before they undergo metamorphosis and become a main sequence star (fancy way of saying they need to explode and undergo rebirth etc etc) which will happen when they turn 20

i say that they want to go as many planets as possible BUT the only exception was earth, because in between traveling between planets they made friends with other interstellar travelers and they all said how earth is the worst and their customs are so odd and aren't these beings aware that war isn't gonna solve all their problems?? so yeah, Earth was on Nova's blacklist

now picture this, Nova is 19 and wants to undertake their most ambitious voyage yet before they explode (the process takes a surprisingly long time) , traveling millions of light years from where their home constellation is. Their companion (the tiny ball of gases called kyle) is advising them to NOT go dude this trek is gonna be virtually impossible with your current equipment but nova is like no no trust we will make it with the power of my ideals.

and so nova embarks on this journey, but it goes rocky towards the very end and they lose control of their trajectory. one thing leads to the other and... this doesn't look like what the brochures advertised? you can see where this is going...

so now nova is on earth, and they can't leave coz most of their equipment got burned to a crisp when they landed and making new gadgets will take them months if not years without added assistance. yipee !!

the rest is basically history from there. nova hates every single second of being on earth for a while but eventually they meet this guy called leo who is the most intriguing human being they have ever met, and decides to bother stay with him for the rest of their duration on the planet (much to leo's annoyance) here's what he looks like :) he also has a twin brother called lucius but i am yet to draw him fully orz

nova gets to meet zuli through leo since they go to the same uni and have been childhood friends :D this story is so dear to my heart since it's got found family, hurt/comfort, fluff, MAJOR angst especially with the laika family and overall good summer vibes

there are a bunch of other characters that i could talk about for forever but that requires several google docs HELEPDSHJB if you made it all the way here i am literally in love with you btw

I think I've been converted to Clara-fan.

I don't really remember liking her on the first go because I found her obnoxious and annoying and you know what? I still think she is, but I don't mind it at all? Her chemistry with 11 is great and I love it when companions get comfortable enough with the Doctor to just call him/her out on their shit. I think the whole born to save the Doctor thing is a bit much (actually, I kinda wish she died in every single episode and he just kept finding a new one? That would have been a move). I particularly like that she retains a normal life around him - she has him pick her up on Wednesday's and goes about her own thing the rest of the time (in time travel sense that means nothing don't get me wrong but go you, Clara).

She does have her flaws and I'm not denying that but honestly I think that's poor writing and don't want to blame the character or the actor for that. I'll see whether Capaldi's run changes my mind about her (I don't think it will though coz I watched it when I was on mat leave and didn't hate her) because she's weird with him for a good chunk of time (understandable) but yeah. Reformed Clara fan. Born-again.

Just finished the day of the doctor and it was a great episode. What an introduction for Capaldi? No holding out for a big burst of light just whoosh, eyebrows. John Hurt was brilliant and Clara's big watery eyes aside I think the chance of redemption is always a good thing for someone so self-sabotaging as the Doctor (how many children?😭) as well as a good way to highlight 10 and 11s character flaws in a way. Equally, I don't think it's ever good news to bring back Gallifrey, they're all awful, but I was less impressed by the plot than the Doctor's chemistry with himself and the general hijinks. For a special episode it definitely was worth the hype. I remember the hype at the time and had little happy butterflies because of it.

Also also, I'm getting my Gallifreyan tattoo next week and I am SO excited for it. It'll be a good send off for 11 who I've been literally obsessed with since the first episode and will be sobbing my heart out when I manage to convince myself to watch his regen-ep. 11s run is definitely my favourite so far.

Help! I have a new fave!!! PLUST's MIKOTO AMAMITSU

Mik's story was so good. Freakin hilarious and cute but also involved sentimental themes and emphasized on not giving up your dreams and aspirations. And how much it's comforting to work on your goals together with your partner/friends.

I love this title. It looks very promising so far. After reading Mikoto, I'd recommend it and the guy to everyone who has a similar taste. I'll list some of my forever favs (from Love 365) below so you'll know what I'm into.

MPD CTY, ASA, FILA, RMD, TLH... and PLUST (safe to add now. I think) So you can predict the themes I like now ;)

It took me 3hrs 47 min to binge Mikoto's story which I managed to do during different hours of the day. Spent about 240 hearts to unlock every heart choice and the SHE plus bonus track.

The art and the OST are gorgeous. I wish there's a steam release where I can buy the whole thing in one package with the OST. The OST is that good. It's so worth the effort (in reading a long story with a slow burn plot.)

(Oh this is a slow burn plot, mind you. And I love the stuff lol) The MC is fair enough. At times I cringed a bit, wondered why she wosn't protest when the guys casually get touchy with her. (Oh she does at times but she could grow more strong).

The fan service thing sounded unrealistic but it was still hilarious and cute. I was laughing falling in love not just with Mikoto but all the guys as a whole. They are all amazing. I think I'm gonna read every route. tho at present I have my eyes set on Mik, Wataru alone.

Guys like Claude aren't my type but I'm curious about him. I think Kotoha is a sweet guy, a tsundere. And Ryogo. Well I love childhood friend trouples so I'm gonna read his MS. He was super sweet in Mik story but the guy who stole the show (when it comes to side characters) was: Zeus.

The ThrOne guys. At first I didn't understand MC's obsession, specifically as they described the group is cold to its fans, but then I understood. That's not the scenario. Zeus has me very fascinated. I'll say I like him already. And his attachment to MC means we MAY get to see sparks flying between him and Mik. (I'd love to see Mik getting jealous haha)

Now I ramble about Mik here: Mikoto is a charmer but he's not overbearing or commanding. I only saw a trace of the pushy guys I played and liked in him. Just a trace. He apologizes when he's wrong. He thanks the MC. He encourages her!?

I expected Mikoto to be like Guy or more like Ikesen Nobunaga (both my faves) but he isn't.

Mik is so refreshing, so chill. Just like TLH Suzu was, captivating, with just one main story! He's blunt but not condescending. He's cheeky but with a sweet awkward side to him. He tries to shoulder his burden alone. The slow reveal of his true personality was a treat. I was rooting for him and MC! There were so many moments: them walking the ramp, rehearsing lines... Watching the show a pop star acted in, with the guy, and sharing a highfive? Haha. That's freakin cute. I love Mik and his Ducky.

So by the End of the SHE I'm super content and looking forward to MC and Mik's budding romance to blossom more. Which I expect to happen in MS 2. And anticipating more of the guys while hoping this title wouldn't take forever to get updated. (Well I understand making games isnt easy. I'm willing to wait tbh. But I see some title updates getting rolled out quickly, so)

Ugh! I went into rant mode there. Will post more content tomorrow. (Not much tho and not many spoilers. Don't wanna hit the game's earnings coz... well that's what I do. Be moderate. I think nicely done posts/shared stuff actually boost sales and earn more fans. THAT is what I try to do on my blog. Share. Share. But be nice.)

I'm back, and that's your problem, so here'e some, idk, many-ish words about Dazai coz I love him and I kin him and it's troublesome that he's also my comfort character, leave me alone, thank you.

Dazai is, imo, just a boy who was too good at reading the room. Yes, bad things happened to him, and that only fueled the situation, making him lonely.

Now, I keep saying on here that I kin him, and I rlly do, so I will be using my own behavior as a reference on here, coz idk what else to compare him to. so please bear with me.

He is too smart. Not smart as in 'he can recite an entire book after one read' or 'he can observe even the minutest of details in under 30 seconds'. No. That kind of smart could be Ranpo, or Senku from dr. stone. Dazai is smart at people.

Now, what do i mean by that?

Dazai can read people easily. He can easily sense their mood, study them and anticipate their reactions to certain stimulants based on their current or day-to-day behavior.

This has been a trait of mine since, well, forever, so I didn't know that most people don't think so much, or don't observe so much, and in most cases, aren't able to observe and/or deduce so much.

This made me lonely. Because i have been observing people, making mental notes about their reactions and how they would react, and what to do/say to get a good/bad reaction out of them, or improve/ruin their mood. And it comes naturally to me, it doesn't take any effort. As a matter of fact, idk how to not do that.

I used to assume that ppl do it too, and used to never explain myself, for I assumed that they could figure me out the way I could figure them out.

That lead to a lot of misunderstandings, and I learnt to portray this fake side of me, that was tailored to get a good reaction or a pleasant mood out of ppl. And I'm not saying I flattered them. LOL no. I would never do that, I have too big an ego myself.

It's just simple alterations, holding back on a few reactions/expressions, saying sm that I don't feel, as sm that I do feel, just to keep them thinking that 'omg she's such a sweet/nice/innocent/lovely/good/selfless/confident person!'. The adjectives depend on whose opinion is being tailored. for eg, if it's like, my teacher, it'd be 'good', 'confident' and maybe 'innocent'. if it was sm1 who mattered to me, say a family member, it'd be 'innocent', 'selfless', and 'good'. you get the gist, yeah?

And that, is exactly my fav brunet.

He studies ppl, he analyses them, he tries to set an image of himself onto them. It's a burden, but he doesn't know any other way to live.

When in the mafia, he had the burden of:

1. Staying alive.

I prefer calling it, 'surviving'. both in a literal and metaphorical sense. He had to ensure that no one would even think of messing with him, coz he knew of his weaknesses, those being his physical strength. We observe throughout the anime, that most of the mafia soldiers (??) (I call them 'suits' coz they're just brainless, hunky men in suits) are much stronger than him.

He was weak. In a physical sense. So he had to be the strongest in everything else, in order to survive. It was almost like an ongoing mission, that would go on till he breathed, and would lead to his demise the moment he stopped playing the part.

He became a master at the art of using the gun, and showed everyone that he could ruin their lives just by thinking. He made it known that things far worse than physical pain exist, and that he can bring them upon whoever dared to cross him. That's how he survived.

Akutagawa was a product of this mission. A failed product.

The above scene was more for the group of men surrounding them, than as a lesson for aku. It was to instill fear into the others, to show them what would happen if they disobeyed his orders and dared to use their own brains. It's psychological manipulation at its best. We can see this in not just how akutagawa turned out to madly respect and adore dazai, but also in how mafiosi and suits much stronger than dazai fear and respect him, even after he left the organization. (chuuya being the only exception lmao. but even he respects and fears dazai a little, albeit, just a little, and he would rather die than say it that out loud.)

2. Going up the ladder

People like Dazai cant stay at a low position for too long, if at all accept one. Coz they know they're smart, and much worthier than the ones higher up on the ladder. He had to play the part of the 'harmless but sharp/useful tool' for those who had an ounce of brain cells in the mafia. eg, Mori.

He gained Mori's trust by portraying himself as a 'suicidal maniac' who absolutely 'abhores' life, and could be used temporarily and not be a bother later, as he might just die any day. He was so convenient for Mori. Think about it. Mori got himself a tool, a sharp and intelligent boy, who he could use for his personal motives and not worry about disposing of off later, as the boy might just succeed in killing himself off, given how smart he is otherwise.

Mori could, therefore, confide in him. Leading to Dazai gaining access to some of Mori's most crucial cards and letting him in on some gr8 blackmail material. And since Mori had chosen to trust(ps, when I say 'trust' and 'mafiosi' in the same sentence, I mean the bare minimum, and not 'full' and 'whole-hearted' trust) him, he had no choice but to keep dazai happy, and that was by making him his right-hand man and getting him up the ladder as quickly as possible.

Now let's talk about ada! Dazai

This guy, although much more relaxed, actually is a lil stressed, albeit not as much as he used to be in the big bad organization of Yokohama.

He seems super lighthearted and jovial and quirky, but a part of it is still an act. He's just exploring his playful side a bit more. But the exaggeration of his suicidal tendencies and the way it has become a comedy in the ada is not unplanned. That's not him. He isn't so obnoxiously loud, and misbehaved. He just does that to curate his fellow colleagues' impressions about him as this 'office clown who hates to work but is useful at times'.

He is constantly searching for his true self, and hoping that someday someone would come around who simply understands him for who he is, minus the layers of pretence he puts up.

That someone was Oda for him. With oda, dazai could be his true self, and not be worried about being judged. That is one of the many reasons why he loved oda so dearly.

Oda was his only true friend. A person who could see through the lies, the forced smiles and snorts. He understood dazai, and that's all that dazai had ever wanted. To be understood, to be seen, and to not have to put effort into curating an impression of himself for the ones trying to perceive him.

Because deep down, he's afraid of people seeing his true personality and judging him. He afraid of being left alone. He's so afraid of being lonely that he has managed to isolate himself from everybody around him. And yet, Oda had managed to crack his walls and see him for who he truly is, and embraced him instead of abandoning him.

That is also why i find comfort in Dazai. Because I assume that since we are so alike, he will be able to understand me for who I am, and appreciate me wholly. But there's the issue of him hating himself, and we are very similar so I fear if he were actually a person in my life, he might end up hating me, but we don't talk about that.

i could also delve deep into dazai's relationship with specific characters, esp Chuuya, but it's nighttime and my eyes are tired, and I've been at this post for.... *checks time*

Some spec on who's to live and to die on next season's 9-1-1 no one asked for...

Note: This will be long, in not the fun way, most likely. This won't be pretty. Or coherent. Or deep. Or a hot take. But the cringe's never stopped me. So yeah. Let's get this over with, right? Cool. Cool.

With the recently released trailer (obsession overload since then!), I've seen a lot of interesting convo and thought pieces on whether the person Buck is supposedly losing out in the field is “just” a stranger or someone they actually know.

And while my prediction game is shit, I have my money on either Captain Mehta or Lucy at this point, in the event that it is indeed someone they know.

Here's why I think that might be the case:

It'd make narrative sense for it being either of the two. It'd forward the plot overall and wouldn't contradict where their characters are at present.

It'd serve to further progress Buck's and Eddie's characters in their individual and shared arcs.

It'd be in-tune with the reactions we see from Buck and Eddie in the trailer.

So let's start with the latter, and that is how Buck and Eddie are portrayed to react to the death of the person, granted that those are *not* two separate scenes and some funny editing for the trailer.

If this was, suppose, Taylor Kelly, I don't believe Eddie would be stoically crossing himself, not with Buck right next to him as he's losing that person. He'd be more visibly upset – for Buck's sake already, right? Coz that'd be his ex right there.

Like, sure, Eddie tends to keep his cool (unless he buys suits and feels baby-trapped without a baby, just many, many salads and muffins). But he's had a relationship with Taylor that was at least friendly enough. Even if they weren't ever BFFs, I don't think he'd be this stoic about her passing. He may keep a straight face for Buck, but then the gesture wouldn't fit. He would be more focused on offering Buck comfort than cross himself, when there's nothing in the narrative that'd suggest Taylor to be overtly religious or him feeling the need to pay some kind of tribute to her by crossing himself.

Though the crossing *does* have me sold on the idea that it is “one of their own”, but someone who's distant enough for Eddie to *not* start crying or showing a strong emotional reaction right there. Say, if this was Bobby, you bet we'd see a different reaction. More so since he's in therapy now and learns to talk about his feelings.

So that leaves either people Eddie hasn't gotten to know at all that well on the 118 or someone from another team. And that'd leave three candidates from the established ensemble that we got to know:

Ravi

Lucy

Captain Mehta

Ravi and Lucy are new members of the 118, which means they'd fit the aforementioned conditions.

So let's start out with Ravi.

Ravi's character was further developed during Eddie's leave from the LAFD, but Eddie's been shown around him before. They weren't BFFs necessarily, but it is implied that they were friendly and that they spent a lot of time together on the job, as one does when you work for the fire department, right? So Eddie just doing the stoic crossing after someone he knows not just as a colleague died? I find it kind of hard to believe, personally. Also, if we take into account that he knows Buck is next to him, who's known him even more? Even harder to believe for me that this is what he'd go for.

Second question we'd have to ask ourselves in that context: What narrative purpose would it serve – for Ravi, and for Buck and Eddie? And that's where I draw a blank when it comes to Ravi.

First, Ravi's come more into his own as a character with his own arc, his past, his wishes, his personality. What purpose would the build-up have, only to toss him under the bus (blimp) now that they created more opportunity to progress his character?

Second, if this death is supposed to be a catalyst for Buck and Eddie, then what purpose does Ravi's death have that is specific to *them*? Other than being “one of their own”?

It'd potentially have more impact (emotionally, theatrically, etc.) for Hen to lose Ravi. Because they have had a lot of those heart-to-heart scenes in the past season. Buck losing him would be devastating, surely, but it wouldn't be specific to what may be bubbling underneath Buck's surface this whole time. That he's tried his best to fix things and be fine – which is what I take to be the focal point of that arc, should they go for it that they want to portray him spiraling following the events.

So that rules out Ravi for me, really.

So what of Lucy?

Lucy would make a lot more sense. Her death would be much closer geared to the reactions we see from Buck and Eddie, for instance.

Eddie doesn't know Lucy that well as of now, as far as we, the audience, know. She was introduced in his absence. And it may well be that Buck didn't really talk about her because of the whole kissing thing and his relationship troubles with Taylor. And Eddie's own issues. And just about everything else going on at the time (also great way to highlight lacking communication, am I right?).

So Eddie being more stoic and “paying a bit of a tribute” to a colleague by crossing himself would be a more natural reaction, granted that he'd think that Buck is on a similar level of knowing her. It wouldn't be out of place, and it'd leave room for Buck to freak and Eddie going on ahead to comfort him then. And it'd give an opening for a conversation, as Eddie might see that Buck's not been talking about himself recently, and he doesn't know what's going on with him.

So what would be the narrative purpose her death might serve to her own arc?

Again, more than I'd think Ravi's death might server to his.

While she has been explored some in the past season, we haven't seen as much of her as we've seen of him. So if she were to go, it would be devastating, since we got to know her, but it's not like we would see a lot of loose strings about her character. It would be about a good person, a great co-worker, being taken out of her life. So that would not pose a contradiction to where they left her character last season, developmentwise.

On another note, I don't know if there might be something to be said about filming logistics. If I remember correctly, the actress won't feature much (at all? Please don't quote me on this!) due to another role she's landed. So maybe “writing her out” would be convenient. But let's cast that aside for the moment, because that's not narrative-related spec.

What narrative sense would it make for her character to die, then? To reiterate, it would be devastating for sure. We see a good person and teammate, someone who's funny and confident, a trained and capable firefighter, who's just taken away from us. Because that's what can happen. A cautionary tale that none of them are ever truly safe, no matter how tight you work together as a team, and no matter how tough your plot armor may seem.

Hehe. It rhymed.

But that'd apply to any firefighter or police officer dying in the field, too. So that wouldn't be specific to *her character* or to the characters who can't save her.

And the closest would be Buck, right?

For one, after the awkward... beginnings... she and Buck progressed in their friendship already in the past season. Buck offered her an outlook, shared in his past when she was brooding about losing someone, etc.

That might be foreshadowing, or her running out of dumb luck, if you catch my drift.

For her own character, it'd mean she might die as she lived. Risking her life, not looking back, not hesitating to help people. It may mean she'd see her own purpose fulfilled and dies not happily, but without regrets, really, which would hit that bittersweet spot very well. If we get some personal revelation preceding the call, it might also be adjusted to something about her past that we don't yet know about her. Say, her saving someone who'd reflect on a past regret of hers (be it about the life she may have lived instead or whatever else). And the conclusion of her death being later on that the team reckons with the fact that she is gone, but that her death didn't mean as much as the life she's lived. And that she seemed at ease where her life ended, how it ended, because she served the purpose she's chosen for herself. That kind of thing.

While we have only caught glimpses of her character thus far, that might be just the narrative upshot on a more general level. That it is someone we've only just gotten to know, someone the team only got to know recently. And then she's gone. Ripped out of her life. Out of theirs. And they don't even know who to call, that kind of thing. Which would also be tough on Buck especially, maybe even a callback to Red, in the sense of not being remembered. But that might be a bit of a stretch.

What I find specific to her character is the function it serves to Buck's character. And that is that she is introduced as a mirror for Buck, as a way to look at himself. When he looks at her, he sees a part of himself. Not just the daredevil kind of tendencies that he may even enjoy about himself, the risk-taking, the liveliness. Because that is what the kiss has always felt like to me: a way for Buck to embrace (kiss, reconnect with) a part of his old self, the one that was feeling alive, that didn't feel sad and inadequate in helping (fixing) the people he loves (Maddie, Chim, Eddie). Things didn't turn out that way for him once he sobered up, but I think the want for it remained. And that's what her death might well bring back to the surface.

In that same way, he might see “his own future” through her, as someone who's been around longer and still features that kind of personality that's close to his. The part of himself he embraced dies in his own arms. Which would leave him to figure out how he can still be the one to get away, if you catch my drift a second time. How he can bypass ending up where she ended up. How he can prevent his future from the loss of more people close to him.

If this is in any way preceded by some last-ditch effort by her to save someone else at the risk of her own life, it'd fit oh too well. Because that would be like forcing Buck to watch himself doing a rescue and failing. It'd force him to look from down there as he climbs a crane, at the risk of being shot by a sniper. It'd force him to look at himself through the eyes of the people around him – and how it'd feel like to lose him (her). He'd find himself standing on the other side, looking in, and being unable to do anything about it. Like the people around him must have felt before, watching him put his own life at risk.

And that may well edge him closer to the breaking point.

So the metaphor of losing someone out there in the field while losing himself in the aftermath... that would make a lot of narrative sense for me. It'd give room for his character to progress. If they are going to have Buck unravel, that sure would present a great opening.

It'd also fit in with Buck feeling immense guilt of not having saved someone. Even if he may have understood by now that he saved Eddie by crawling under that truck and getting to him. If he can't get to Lucy in time in the crowd or whatever else, his guilt will be overwhelming. And it may inspire him to go back to some of his old coping mechanisms. Even though Eddie slammed it into him that he is not expendable, Buck losing someone like Lucy, having been unable to do anything about her death, may prompt him to go back to his old habits to feel alive. To feel something, anything, that's not this kind of all-consuming guilt.

Because even if we make progress emotionally, we sometimes have setbacks, and we have to start over. So Buck trying to help fix things for Eddie leading to Eddie helping Buck to put himself back together in the aftermath (even without the Buddie goggles)... That seems like a plot point naturally flowing from that idea of trauma coming back in waves. And how you have to tackle it time and time again. Together.

It'd certainly open up an opportunity for Buck and Eddie to address the will, which still feels like Chekhov's gun here, just like the overdue talk about how the shooting affected Buck and Eddie, both individually and together.

We've gotten bits and pieces last season, with Buck giving an opening when they are at equine therapy and addresses the shooting at least. But they did not, in any way, on-screen, talk about how the shooting affected them emotionally. How it affected and traumatized them together. He just stated that this got him thinking about it. But not *what* he felt during the shooting, or after, or how he feels about it even now.

So, to sum up, Lucy is a viable opportunity, from a narrative standpoint. Her character would progress Buck's arc immensely, if that is the route they are taking. And if her character's upshot is to be the mirror, the glimpse into Buck's future, to inspire change, that'd fit and not have her character “go for nothing”.

And then we have Captain Mehta.

To me, if the Chekhov's gun that's supposed to go off in season 6a is the shooting and its aftermath, then that guy's death would be a perfect catalyst for it.

Again, it'd fit with Buck's and Eddie's reaction as we've seen so far in the trailer. Eddie may not remember as much of the shooting itself as Buck does. So to Eddie, Captain Mehta might just be someone who was also there when it happened. Eddie will certainly have heard that he helped get him to safety, which would fit with him crossing himself stoically and seemingly wanting to pay his tribute in some way. And it may well be that he does not comprehend how much of a trigger that man may grow to be for Buck, or rather, how much his death might be. Because he doesn't remember what happened immediately after he was shot.

What narrative purpose would Captain Mehta's death then serve?

Well, we haven't gotten to know him much. If it is so to happen, we might get some personal info right before he dies (similar to Claudette – they dug into her character some more to make it *mean* something when she died). Like, he's about to have a child or whatever else. And then disaster strikes. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, you catch my drift again, I hope.

So him dying would be sad, but more of a catalyst for other characters, namely Buck and Eddie. It would be less about concluding things for a character and bring his arc to an end. His death would trigger a situation, start a conflict, if you will.

With Lucy, I struggle a bit on that, since they developed her as a character in her own right. Sure, maybe that's supposed to be it, to make it hurt even more, as I mentioned before. And that's where I'm struggling on what the show might opt for. Captain Mehta's death would be more on the side of “this character was primed as a catalyst for other characters later on, which is why we didn't develop his character in greater detail before”.

If Captain Mehta is supposed to die, it's his death and his role in the shooting that would serve the narrative purpose. That would make Chekhov's gun about the shooting go off most likely – and may then lead to others going off as well. But that'd be the most obvious connection to Buck and to Eddie – the shooting.

This, again, could lead to a conversation about the will. But it doesn't necessarily have to. Yet. What it would provide in both cases is an impact on both Buck's and Eddie's characters. Because it is something they have not discussed, have not really moved past yet (and never really will, less so if they just try to move on from it without talking about its impact on their lives and emotions).

If it is supposed to be Lucy, it'd seem more likely to me that the narrative upshot is her relation to Buck, being a mirror to him. That would make Chekhov's gun about Buck's unraveling or confronting him with where he might end up if he continues with his tendencies.

That scenario may open up a conversation about the will, if we further assume that Buck will get himself into danger to save Chim during the car chase (Buck and those bicycles...). Like, a scenario where Eddie calls him out for being this reckless along the lines of "Did you think about what that would do to Christopher? You remember you're his legal guardian?" and everyone else goes 👀👀👀 (which is a fanfic trope they can pry from my cold dead hands). That'd make the shooting perhaps a topic to be discussed, but it wouldn't be the initial, focal point.

What that scenario doesn't provide as much is the impact it'd have on Eddie personally. Yes, it'd affect him to see Buck spiraling. And if we get some talk about the will, we might, but not about the shooting itself. Which is a narrative path that may work all the same. It's just a question of when to address which conflicts or loose threads.

Which is why I am so torn on whether it'd be Lucy or Captain Mehta in this scenario. To me, it really boils down to what plot points the writers wish to hit WHEN. Lucy's death could get them the same plot points covered as Captain Mehta's death might (shooting, will, Buck unraveling). It just depends on what they wanna go for first.

If Lucy is meant to go, it feels like Buck unraveling would be first, which might give an opening to the will. And perhaps the shooting. But the shooting would only ever flow from Buck's unraveling, which may force Eddie to step in and force the overdue conversation.

If Captain Mehta is meant to go, the starting point would have to be his role in the shooting. So Buck unraveling would be in relation to it, the catalyst, but the shooting would be the focal point from which all other plot points flow. The will can turn up in that same context, but doesn't necessarily have to.

To come back to my initial 3 points (again in reverse order):

Both would fit from the limited information we have from the trailer, i.e. Buck's and Eddie's reactions to the person's death.

Buck and Eddie would be given opportunity to progress individually and together in both instances. If Lucy dies, it'd start out with Buck likely unraveling in some shape or form, seeing a life he could have lived pass, being unable to save that part of himself. And Eddie would see him spiraling and finding himself having to step in. Which may force the conversation about the shooting and/or the will. If Captain Mehta dies, the focal point would be their shared trauma of the shooting that they'd finally have to address. Buck's unraveling would then be the catalyst for Eddie to realize that he has to talk about it to Buck to help him “fix” things again. In both instances, it would facilitate Buddie progression (if I may put those goggles on for a second here), to force them into the realization how much they care, need, and love each other.

Both would make narrative sense. It'd drive the plot along for the 118, losing one of their own, and how that'd affect them as a team and as individuals. Either seeing people being ripped out of their lives despite being so experienced, or to highlight that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. Even someone the audience got to know a lot more personally may go. Because that is what happens in their line of work. And finding ways to move on from there, hitting the bittersweet spot about someone having followed her heart – even if that meant to her own death.

Last but not least... the Buddie goggles.

Because you did not expect that I could keep them off towards the finale of this way too long, verbose post, right?

Even with the Buddie goggles on, both Lucy and Captain Mehta make as much sense within that arc, if that is what the writers are (finally) going for this season.

Eddie hasn't seen Buck lose someone who's close to him (Maddie was gone temporarily, the others were people they haven't had a personal connection to). If they lose either of those characters, Eddie will see Buck's devastation over losing someone close to him first-hand for the very first time, I believe.

And now as friend or future love interest, he'd want to be there for Buck, more so if Buck starts spiraling in the aftermath. Because Buck's been there in the room with him, and you bet he'd do the same for him in a heartbeat.

I think we've talked a lot about how Eddie hasn't seen Buck's reaction to him being buried alive, and we may never really get there, but that might be the twist in that arc: Eddie would get to see real-time, unfiltered, what Buck is like when he loses someone close to him. How Buck was like when he thought he'd lost Eddie. When Buck completely loses his professional cool that he was able to keep while Eddie himself was spiraling (see Eddie finding it hard to breathe during the hospital call last season where Buck told him they move on to the next).

Extra points (not that extra points from me would amount to anything, but I'd still give them) if we see Eddie actively trying to get through to Buck, but initially failing.

Here's why:

It might be very interesting to see Eddie finding himself ill-equipped in his mission of Buck up Buck 2.0. Before, he always got through to him. He got Buck to leave the loft after the embolism (okay, only to get caught up in a tsunami, but that wasn't his upshot, c'mon). He snapped Buck out of it when he thought it had been better, had he gotten shot by the sniper instead of Eddie. He was all smug BF over dinner, telling Buck he isn't going anywhere when he considers to transfer after Chimney leaving. Up until now, Eddie's always found the means to get through to Buck eventually. To keep him off that ledge.

It would be brutal and dramatically delicious to see him feeling like he can't get through to Buck, even though he is so accustomed to it. Even though Buck did it for him, and we all know what a tough case Eddie's been to crack.

And it may well be that he has to come to the painful realization that he can't get through to Buck because of the elephant in the room, Chekhov's gun on the wall: The shooting. Potentially also the will.

Because he may still struggle with it himself so much that he feels like he should leave it to his therapy sessions with Frank alone. It might be that he feels not ready for it yet, to go back to that fateful day and face those scary, scary emotions attached to that moment. Only to realize that he has to do it. Not just for Buck's sake, but also for his own.

Like, I'm a downright hoe for all the hurt and all the comfort, so I'd be damn FED with that, but it'd fit from a narrative perspective. In my view, at least: Eddie and Buck would be forced to have that overdue conversation (Chekhov's gun) about the shooting and/or the will. How it impacts them. Because it's the only way they can move forward. Because their tried and trusted methods, the way their relationship used to work, it no longer works that way. It's something deeper, something much more intimate, and even downright scary. To realize just how close you let that other person be in your life, and how much you need to let that other person in, so you can both heal.

Also, Eddie would see first-hand what Buck's seen in the last season: What happens to your loved ones when they eat it all up and don't find an outlet and start spiraling as a result. How helpless you find yourself to be when you don't find a way to get through to them. He'd have to see Buck in the way that Buck's seen him in season 5.

You know, being mirrors to each other, which might be an overall theme coming back full swing this upcoming season. That kind of thing. If we see any more shots involving mirrors, you know where I got my money.

And in that same vain, that may very well serve as a catalyst for Eddie to realize his (romantic) feelings for Buck. Because that wouldn't just be about seeing his best friend struggling. This would be a callback to not being able to help Shannon (i.e. his dead WIFE) and wanting to break the cycle with Buck. Which would force him to have a hard look at himself and his feelings for Buck, and how they might be much closer to what they were for Shannon than for any of his other friends (i.e. romantic vs. strictly platonic).

And if we get some callback to Carla telling him to follow his heart, only for him to go to Buck... I will eat glass. Not literally. But I will eat lots of glass. *crunch*

To me, it could go a number of ways from there. We may even find ourselves in a situation where they don't manage to talk about it until well later (6b), but still try to offer and seek comfort with each other (not friends with benefits, but more like... and then they had sex because of tragic event A, and they just want to forget their grief and find comfort in each other's arms kind of way). I find that not at all otherworldly, really. And it may force the conversation all the harder (pun maybe intended).

Like, imagine a scenario where Buck seeks comfort with Eddie and Eddie offers it, not knowing what else to do since all other attempts of his failed thus far. Buck stops spiraling somewhat. All's well. All's fine. It's alright, right??? And damn, that can maybe even sexy in ways a certain someone did not learn in Sunday School. Then shit hits the fan, because of course it does. And both Eddie and Buck have to realize that just seeking comfort in the intimacy between them isn't fixing it.

Because A) they are not just there for comfort but for the lurve, B) it doesn't fix the initial problem, which is Chekhov's gun about the shooting and/or the will and Buck's struggles, and C) since when has that worked out in a narrative ever???

So it might well be that Eddie feels like he's got it under control, only for Buck to spiral again, fast, harder, and much further down. And Eddie has the Oh moment right there and then that he doesn't just want the intimacy that springs from grief (is grief sex a thing like angry make up sex??? Like narratively? Asking for a friend). That he wants to be with Buck in that way not just as a way to forget, but because he's chosen him in his heart long ago, but just hasn't allowed himself it yet. Love confession. Confused Buck noises. Kisses and tears. See you next season. Wham. Bam. Thank you, ma'am.

But even if we don't go that path, and resolution about the shooting will be reached without anything Buddie-like happening this season, it would be a great eye-opener for Buddie, still.

Buck having Eddie show up, seeing him in his struggles (contrast with his parents much), and doing anything he can to save Buck from himself self-deprecating. Someone choosing him, and choosing him at his lowest, not on the height of a heroic deed, but right when he hits rock-bottom. Someone who chooses and loves him anyway.

Eddie choosing to follow his heart, which would be to go to Buck, to be with the person he loves, through thick and thin. To be the partner he felt he wasn't to Shannon. If we get some gay/bi reckoning before that, choosing himself and embracing his sexual identity. Realizing that the person he thought he had with Ana was Buck all this time, and he just didn't look at him in that way because he was just always Buck to him.

Like, it'd bring things full circle in a lot of ways. At least from where I'm standing (okay, sitting, typing away unnecessarily on my laptop, fine).

What remains by the end of this post (I know, fuckin' finally, right?), is that if we are losing one of our own next season, Lucy and Captain Mehta may get us to just those plot points.

And yeah, I do hope to see some of my beloved fanfic tropes to become a reality. A fangirl can dream. And if canon goes a different way, you bet my fingers are already typing to indulge myself with those scenarios.

But at the very least, they owe us a Buddie hug. Even if they don't go for Buddie this season, they deserve a hug. We deserve them hugging. They HAVE TO HUG, okay? Okay. Now, that didn't relate to anything from my initial long-ass post about who might die next season... and I can't seem to think of any elegant ways to make that come full circle. So I will just end on this note:

I hope our firefighters remain safe and that it's just someone else. But if we lose one of our own, that's the people I'd sadly bet on.

I KNEW there was something wrong with Mona, idk why but since the beginning I get annoyed by her quite a lot and at first I excused my annoyance with her with her lack of self-awareness and that there are a lot worse characters than her, but gurl, now??? the old hag's not even the bare fucking minimum. Like ngl, to me, slowly but surely she's becoming much more predator-like than the ones we call yandere. LIKE HOW EVEN DID SHE BECAME RICH??? (Drugs, prolly. Tons of drugs.) 4. Maybe I'm dumb but in what order did Mona adopted the boys? who did she adopted first? (maybe a spoiler again, you don't have to answer any of these if you don't want to)

5. Did all of them fell in love with bunny at first sight? Coz that's what I'm gettin from Tae and Namjoon.

6. (On an unrelated note) In the bunny household universe, do the boys use their alias? RM, V, Suga?

7. Hypothetical question, if the mc was never into gaming (or maybe not just into their franchise), would the four of them ever meet?

8. There was a hint of jealousy coming from Namjoon in Meet and Greet, so that kinda opens the possibility of them getting jealous over one another (not in the joking way you portray in text messages) but like, real jealousy? Or nah?

9. Did yoongi had an ulterior motive when he talked with bunny in the bar? Was that REALLY Yoongi's first time meeting her? HmmmmMMmmMmm.

Ahhhh thank you so much!!! Also yess Mona is... Mona is quite the character, huh? She's really not the random eccentric character she may seem to be at first, and I'm excited to explore more of her! And now to answer your rlly cool questions!!!

I mean no but... who's gonna stop you??? lmaooo

I will go into this more in the future, but basically not really?? Sorta?? Not every neglectful mother means to be neglectful (though many do) regardless, it doesn't mean they can't see what that's doing to their kids, and sometimes they decide it's too late by the time they notice. Not all of this applies to Mona exactly, but it's something to consider with her character. Another thing to consider is why she would want them to be with the same person and stay together? Does she care or is she just possessive over her kids staying together? She's both complex and simple in a lot of ways

Their bond rlly isn't that strong, not all of them anyway. It's just a universe where poly relationships are the norm and their not rlly in the mood to fight to the death for MC when they're okay with sharing (and they'd have to navigate MC mourning whoever gets killed). They mostly consider each other friends or roommates more than they do brothers. (Jin called them "adopted friends" for a while) However, Taehyung and Namjoon as well as Jungkook and Hoseok genuinely consider each other their best friends. I'll go into their relationships more later on ofc!

If I goofed and put anything conflicting in any of the parts pls tell me, but the order is generally Hoseok, Yoongi, Jin, Namjoon and Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook. This isn't the order she encountered them or became interested in adopting them, but ti is the order in which they were officially adopted.

No, surprisingly! Jimin just had a crush that developed into his love for her, Jin mostly thought she was cute at first and went about his business until [redacted], Hoseok wished he had asked her out, but genuinely didn't fall for her or really see her until she moved in, Jungkook [redacted], and Yoongi [redacted] lmao

When they first started out Namjoon and Taehyung used V and RM but when they landed the Undertaking series, used their actual names but fans kind of call them both. Hoseok's company is called Hope Aesthetics. Jungkook is known as JK or just his name. Yoongi just goes by Yoongi, but his first successful game was a psychological horror called Suga.... more on that later in the story~

Hmmm, they would've, but it would've been much different. They would've met from MC going to a convention later on as a panelist for sex work and cosplay, but Yoongi might not have bought the Undertaking games and Namjoon and Taehyung wouldn't have stuck with it, so the circumstances would've been way different. Even if the Undertaking games stayed how they are, if MC didn't play them, they would still meet but it would be super different.

Not really? It's more so jealous that they get her affection while they don't if that makes sense. Like in Vulnerable In The Dead of Night, Taehyung is spiraling because he hasn't gotten any confession from MC while others have, but the moment he gets it he's fine. As long as they each know where they stand with her, she can do whatever. It would take a lot to make one of them seriously jealous of one another, and it would not be pretty.

Tbh? He didn't lol He was just tipsy and having an existential crisis, and MC was just too pretty! Interesting how she trusted him with her phone, though. It was only a few seconds, I'm sure it's fine

Jungkook or Jimin would've, 100% lmao. If they had to go one more year of seeing how scared she was in that apartment, their sanity be damned, they're intervening. Jimin always had the plan to pursue her when she graduated so he didn't make her feel awkward as her TA, and Jungkook [redacted] lol

He did go back to the bar rip, but more on that later~

Traveling! He often would just leave and say it was for "work" half the time, he was being honest.

Wow being a bigg enthusiast from ep1 he just was a hopless employee in love with his boss. That was it. He was just there for porche to not die. It's soo infuriating seeing how incapable they make him to be. I just hope we see a funeral for his honourable sacrifice.

I keep convincing myself that they will make kinnporche more likable as eps progress but it's the opposite. I just can't wrap my head around both of them forgetting My beloved pete and not address anything that happened , how am I supposed to be invested in them as leads if their power dynamics is just subtly hinted ,Taken granted & isn't showing any consequences ig it could be too early to expect such arc but the last scene was played for laughs . And I'm not so keen abt such an imp part of the story is starting in such a tone . It almost feels like it wanted to reach but didn't want to. Guess I mistook what the show wants to narrate. Also if does flesh out the other characters and not ruin kinn porche I will sleep peacefully.

Ah, welcome to my tumblr, where we talk about the power imbalance and the weird tonal shifts and get real salty about the show sometimes because, yeah. Yeah. We all knew from the trailer that we needed fart jokes, slapstick and one character doing all the emotional labor for the other... Yuuup.

Big deserves a real funeral and to be recognized and while I hope he is... I don't feel like this mafia rewards loyalty so I'm not holding my breath. I mean, Kinn literally forgot about Pete after he offered to go to his death in order to prove Porsche innocent... a fact that Kinn already knew and didn't need any proof of. If that's the reward that Pete gets for his loyalty, why would we expect anything better for Big? We don't reward loyalty in the Thai mafia, we just make fart jokes and let our bodyguard boyfriend tell me about his stress and then offer no comfort. Can we really expect loyalty from that?

Oh, yeah, the narrative. Apparently, it's just about all the green flags in their relationship and how sweet and cute they are? Didn't you realize that this mafia drama was going to be about how cute they were and how romantic they are and how great they are and how wonderful it is that Kinn will refuse to apologize and Porsche will choose to forgive him and nothing matters but them. Nothing at all. Not even the part where Kinn literally has life or death control over Porsche and can, in fact, control all of his choices.

Like, even if Porsche did say he was going to resign... Kinn doesn't have to let him go. They have a literal jail cell in their basement. He is a mafia leader. If Kinn told Porsche he had to stay, he'd be trapped. He could be locked up in a room, he could be chained to a wall, he could be put in jail, he could just be shot. Hell, Kinn could order Chay kidnapped and held in the cell to keep Porsche with him. Kinn could order Chay killed or beaten just to prove his power and to make sure that Porsche stays with him.

Kinn and Porsche are my least favorite part of KinnPorsche and it's really weird to say but it's absolutely true because I can see so much depth in them but the tone the show keeps using with them gets rid of all that depth.

I have so many things I wanna say about chapter 138 and I am so sorry I only got to it now. I think most Levihan fans already said what I wanted to say but either way, I’ll just give some thoughts I entertained when these came out.

Coz first of all…

As a Levihan shipper, I am obviously ecstatic about this but as most people know, I come from a household where everyone is not too enthusiastic about Levihan. They are so very enthusiastic about INVALIDATING LEVIHAN in particular that my sister and my parents who don’t even watch AOT just come up to me while I’m staring at Levihan art on tumblr and go…

“What are you doing?”

“Staring at art.”

“Oh, is that the one couple you like who don’t even love each other or smthg.”

Cause apparently my sisters who watch AOT and my boyfriend have been SO vocal about invalidating Levihan that even my parents now are on ship that they aren’t even a thing and I’m just delusional but yes, since I live in a house where literally ‘shipping Levihan’ is on the same level as ‘the curtains are blue so the narrator is sad’ type of interpretation, I will start by mentioning a more pragmatic argument to this whole Levihan and Eremika parallel.

While I am one of those who can definitely see that yes those were clear parallels, there are some louder people( mostly Eruri shippers) who think that LH fandom is just grasping on straws and trying to diminish their supposedly canon ship( because EL and EM ackerbonding thing) so I was wondering what is your view on this?

So, to break down the argument...

It’s a war story blah blah blah. And besides Mikasa loved Eren from the start blah blah blah.

I think this is an argument I see a lot. Because Yams is writing a war story and I think a lot of people are suggesting that it’s a war story here is no way anyone can be canon or anyone can have romantic relationships.

AND I HATE THIS TAKE. Relationships are human nature. Yes, being arromantic exists but I don’t believe that in a fictional space, romance can ever NOT exist. Because most---or scratch that--- I believe all humans will search for companionship and I do not believe it is ever reaching to jump from whatever companionship exists between people and contemplate the potential of romance, except incest but that’s another story.

Yeah because if there’s no kiss or sex then it’s not a romance apparently.

Well guess what, we’re all reaching then, cause only Eren and Mika got the kiss. But lemme drop some social experiment I did.

I actually showed the Eremika and Levihan ‘Let’s live together scenes’ side by side to a colleague at work who doesn’t watch AOT and she told me, WITHOUT CONTEXT, that she prefers the scene between Levihan more than Eremika and the reason behind that is because there were undertones, specifically in the Korean translation’ that Hange was tired, and there’s this apparent romantic-ness to it when you dream of something when you’re tired and when you dream of a particular someone.

Because here’s the thing, when you love someone, when you decide to be in a relationship with someone, that person will be your HOME. And now that I think about it, it definitely hits for me more, because when Hange was tired, when Hange was completely exhausted and spent, she dreamt of a future with Levi.

And don’t you think that it’s more romantic that ‘despite everything, she thinks of him’ compared to ‘she constantly thinks of him?’ Because I dunno, when someone is constantly thinking of someone, there’s actually no effort really needed for the feeling to grow, but when ‘they think of someone, despite everything.’ There’s this idea that the relationship can withstand more things and that means they thought long and hard about it.

Their life is so interesting and eventful, yet at the end of the day, there exists someone who still shines brighter than life itself and that’s why ‘Despite everything, she thinks of him’ rings brighter than ‘she constantly thinks of him’ for me at least.

Probably a personal preference thing but either way… Just my take.

Western people don’t consider running away ‘romantic?’

This is something I’ve discussed with filo moots multiple times and this is something I’ve thought about reading the Japanese and English translations, reading the Filipino Soc Med AUs and having my friend read the Korean ones.

The Japanese and Koreans are quick to see the romantic undertones, a lot of my Filipino moots are quick to see those romantic undertones too. But we have the western fandom on Reddit going ‘Yo Erehisu foh evah’ and people saying ‘Levihan not canon they didn’t kiss.’

But YO both of my parents are ‘tanan’ (runaway in tagalog) babies. My mom actually ran away with a man and wasn’t allowed to talk to her dad until she graduated. My dad disobeyed his parents to marry my mom. They were setting my dad up with another woman and they were going to have a big wedding and everything but my dad was like…

NOPE Imma run away and marry this woman.

And can I just say, my parents are the MOST unromantic people but they literally disobeyed their parents, ran away together, literally risked their relationships with their parents to make it work.

And my parents are one of the few people in their family who are still in a happy relationship even after 25 years of marriage.

Okay, I admit, sometimes running away is a dumb decision and shouldn’t constantly be romanticized.

But I don’t think a lot of people understand the gravity of what ‘tanan’ entails. Legit, it was emphasized in 138 already, if Eren ran away, Paradis could have been overrun by military soon. And if Hange and Levi ran away to the woods, ‘what would there have been left for them?

And in real life, my mom literally gave up her relationship with her dad to try to make the relationship work. My dad gave up the comforts of marrying a rich woman in a lavish wedding to marry my mom.

They literally had a civil wedding, went out to eat Chinese noodles and China town as a post wedding meal and 25 years later, they have one of the strongest relationships I’ve ever seen.

AND NO ONE RUNS AWAY WITH SOMEONE FOR THE LELZ. So yes, running away with someone will always be romantic for me.

And the Ackerbond?

Something I always find myself asking. Why do people want the Ackerbond to actually be a thing? Because if the Ackerbond were real, then wouldn’t that invalidate all Eruri and Eremika even more since we know they’re just trapped in the relationship like Stockholm syndrome or something?

And besides didn’t Yams debunk that chapters ago?

Anyway, onto the next questions

hi sav! i have a question about the recent chapter. do you think the em and lh parellels were done on purpose by isayama?

And to answer this question… I am not so sure actually. I talked to a Japanese friend who grew up in the same prefecture as Yams, apparently it was her acquaintance from high school who married Yams and they were childhood sweethearts.

So maybe Yams got it from them? My memory on that convo is hazy but it’s only possible that he built Eremika from there. And Levi and Hange’s development is just incredibly different that I don’t think Yams thought that far to do it.

My theory here is that Yams is writing a war story and he only has one way he could have ever shown romance in a war story and that’s through ‘running away’ so I believe the parallels are unintentional but I genuinely believe that this was Yam’s way of showing romantic undertones.

And I personally do not think that Levi and Hange would have ever kissed in that time in their life, at least intentionally and I hoenstly commend Yams for doing such a good job with the subtlety of the romance because I’ve literally seen so many great characters in other stories completely butchered by a poorly done romantic subplot so I aint complaining about these romantic undertones.

But either way,

I hang in the Japanese fandom a lot and there have been lots of fandom discussion on Levihan becoming endgame if 132 didn’t happen. And there are actually articles on this putting Levihan as endgame along with Eremika so I’m kinda suspecting that invalidating Levihan is an anime-only fan and reddit fandom type of thing.

"what if you stay the night?"

Where you stayed a liiiittle later than usual at your boyfriends place and now you can't go back home...

Pairing: Peter Parker x reader

Status: the "shy dating phase"

Warning: ⚠️ stranger things season 3 spoilers ahead! ⚠️

Y/n's POV

"WHAT?!" Peter and I both said in unison, our eyes were like saucers, shocked and heart broken, snuggled up together in one blanket silently drying each others tears.

"HOPPERS DEAD?" I was on the verge of sobbing my eyes out until may busted out of her room to the living room.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" her eyes wide in fear, chest heaving from the sudden running as she scanned the room trying to see if there's anything visibly wrong.

"H-HOPPERS DEAD" I stuttered, taking the 26th tissue of the day to dry my eyes. Peter paused the episode since it looked like there was more to it, silently sniffling so he doesn't draw any attention.

"You guys scared the crap out of me! oh my god" She rubbed her forehead in frustration "DONT do that again" her voice was stern but her face softened once she saw how I tried to comfort Peter after he saw his favorite character just died "oh you guys" she walked up, bent down since we were sitting on the couch and hugged us tightly.

"We're sorry, may" we both whispered savoring this unexpected hug

"It's okay, how are you guys holding up?" She asked, slowly drying our tears with her thumbs

"I-I'll manage, it just caught me off guard" I nervously laughed not really happy that I cried infront of my boyfriends aunt coz of a show. A stupid yet heartbreaking show!

"I mean, hop was my favorite character a-and you know why so it kinda hurts" Peter sniffled calming himself down, I knew hopper was peters favorite character but he never told me why, I guess he told may since she nodded her head understanding what he meant, hugging us once more.

"Well, I'll be in my room if you need me" she stood up "oh and since you guys look like miserable soaked puppies, I'll allow you guys to watch one more movie" Our heads perked up smiles daring to leave our faces any minute now.

"UNDER ONE CONDITION" she held her index finger infront of us "it has to be a funny, happy movie, I'm not sure you guys can handle anymore angst" she laughed shaking her head walking to her bedroom.

"Thanks may" Peter shouted

"Yes! Thank you!" I said frantically taking the remote trying to get this miserable yet memorable episode over with.

"Well that was an emotional rollercoaster" Peter laughed, drying my tears after he dried his. his hands were soft and delicate, face scrunched up in concentration not wanting to hurt my puffy red eyes.

"Damn right" I said kissing his red cheeks "I don't think I've ever seen you cry before" I giggled as he hid his head on the crook of my neck groaning in embarrassment.

"Let's not talk about this, for like...ever"he spoke resting his head on my lap looking at the tv to find something quote on quote 'funny and happy'

"Yeah I'm never letting this go" I joked which made him groan even louder

"Baaaaaaabeee" he whined.

"I'm joking I'm joking" I kissed his forehead

"Okay so anything in mind?" He finally spoke after a few minutes of scrolling through Netflix

"No" not really paying attention since I was too busy playing with his hair, it seemed extra fluffy today, can you blame me? "Wait-" I remembered

"What?" He looked up

"What about the curfew?" My voice trailed off in disappointment, obviously since we've only started dating for almost 3 months my parents/guardians were strict and I had a curfew everytime I'd hangout with Pete, I should be home by 10pm or 10:30 max.

"Well, may allowed us to watch one more movie and as for now, we're too caught up with this movie" he clicked on 'how to train your dragon "that we forgot about the curfew" he declared in a 'matter of a fact' tone. Now sitting upright, holding me close.

"You're such a dork" I ruffled his hair. The sound of thunder echoed through the apartment, roaring every few minutes while the small rain droplets were scattered on the windows racing eachother on who'll go down first.

I snuggled up to Peter more enjoying the relaxing sounds of the grizzling rain combined with the Viking-ish type of music that came from the movie.

"I love this film" I stated remembering all the times I've watched this movie when I was younger always re-enacting the scene where hiccup touches toothless for the first time.

*A/N: if you didn't watch this movie when u were younger it's this scene and just think of a movie you LOVED watching as a kid*

"Me too" he nuzzled his head in my hair and sighed in content.

1 hour into the movie my phone started ringing, Peter had I loooked at eachother, eyes widening in fright

"WHY ARE YOU SCARED YOUR THE ONE WHO CONVINCED ME TO STAY" I whisper shouted a bit scared for what's about to happen scratch that I'm terrified.

"WHY ARE YOU WHISPER SHOUTING" he whisper shouted

"WHY ARE YOU WHISPER SHOUTING- ok whatever I'm gonna accept" my thumb grazed the curve of my phone I was still contemplating whether the best option is to a Answer it or ignore it, but I guess Peter couldn't contain his patience and quickly pressed accept.

"PETER" I absentmindedly shouted forgetting that my parents/guardians we on the line.

"Y/n sweetheart, you okay?" Your parent/guardian echoed from the phone since I pressed the speaker.

"Y-yeah I'm okay. Peter is just being an idiot, again." I fake laughed, glaring at Peter causing him to widen his eyes, he knew fucked up. But before I could mentally slap my boyfriend up I heard laughter in the other side of the line.

"Well, looks like you're having fun. But uh hunny I just wanted to tell you that it's 11 right now"

"Oh really?" I tried to act surprised and thankfully it's succeeding. While I was trying to hear my parents discuss on what I should do, I sensed Peter getting up from the couch, I looked at him briefly furrowing my eye brows but I shrugged it off..until I heard

"Hey y/n/n! Somehow I managed to not burn the popcorn" Peter chuckled rather loudly, purposefully so my parents/guardians could hear him "ready to watch your favorite movie?" He flopped on the couch, again, very loudly so they could hear us. "Oh, who you callin'?" He said putting on his best New York accent, squeaking his voice at the end.

Peter knew that my mom/guardian had a soft spot for him, she definitely liked him most out of all the guys I talked to her about, not like there was many anyways.

"Oh, my parents/guardians" I eyed Peter silently telling him to continue.

"Oh hey Mr. and Mrs Y/l/n"

"Hello Peter" and after a few more minute Peter miraculously managed to convince my parents to stay 30 more minutes so we obviously didn't waste any time and started the movie.

"What was that for?" His eyes widened a bit by the sudden kiss I gave him as a thank you, cheeks getting pink, and a goofy smile plastered on his red face.

"Just cuz" I shrugged my shoulders kissing him again "now, let's finish this movie"

30 minutes later, the movie finished. The credit scene rolled in but Peter and I never moved a muscle, we didn't want to. Bu we had to at some point.

"Please don't leave" he hummed snuggling his head deeper in my chest as I brushed his curls. Somehow Peter was laying on top of me while we were watching the movie and we didn't move since. I wasn't complaining, i loved it.

"You know I have to, Pete" I sighed deeply brushing my face over his curls to get one last whiff of him.

"No you don't" Peter looked up, looking between my eyes and lips briefly. I could tell he wanted to kiss me and I wanted too but I was too curious for what he was proclaiming.

"What are you thinking, bug boy?" I smirked slightly while he fully smiled at me, letting the what he thinks obnoxious nickname go just this once, his droopy eyes sparkled. He was tired, but he had to at least say his idea, even though it probably won't happen.

"What if you stay the night?" He proposed his long awaited thought, the thought that was trapped inside his mind since their first time cuddling. when they first cuddled, he knew for a fact that he wanted to feel this comforted this loved for a whole night (maybe even more) and not just a couple of hours.

His eyes wandered around the room, suddenly getting interest in his picture of his 6 year old self dumped in his uncles shaving cream. And he hated that picture.

"R-Really?" You were over the moon, your mouth hung open in disbelief.

"Y-Yes" he gave you a breathy laugh, getting more confident from the way you've reacted.

"W-Well I-" you definitely wanted to spend the night with your boyfriend, especially since he was the one suggesting it, his hopeful eyes were lost in your excited ones, he didn't know what was holding you back, which made him lose his confidence again.

"You- you don't have to...you know" he scratched the back of his neck, cheeks now flammably red.

"No no, I want to, it's just- what am I gonna say to my parents?" Y/n trailed off, looking down at her phone.

"Just tell them that you can't come back coz of the storm and that I won't allow you going at this time of the day, New York is my home, but you know how it is at night" he rubbed your arm, his mind racing trying to find a good excuse to persuade her parents "or no jus-"

"Cant" y/n interrupted, waving her lit up phone to his face "already sent it" she nervously laughed, immediately regretting hitting send before getting confirmation from her boyfriend.

Before Peter could protest, they both heard a notification. y/n quickly opened her phone to see that her parents...agreed? She looked at the text again, and again, making sure hay she wasn't just seeing things.

"What?" Of course Peter didn't know the answer since she crammed her phone to her face eager to see if there was a littlest slightest chance her parents would say yes...and they surprisingly did.

"What? Baby what happened?" Curiosity got the best of him so he took her phone to see the message himself. Y/n was laughing from victory, but mostly coz how easy it was to convince her parents to stay the night at a boys house, her boyfriends house to be exact "They agreed" he whispered, a small smile growling by the second. Looking up at y/n.

"They agreed!"

After having a little 5 minute victory dance, they both decided it was time for bed. Peter excused himself for a second to go grab a t-shirt and sweats for you, along with an extra toothbrush. Then left to go change.

You entered his bathroom, the smell of his colognes and aftershave hits your nose, the scent was so familiar, like it was home, it felt like you wanted to drown yourself in that special cologne of his, that never failed to make you feel giddy.

"Babe, you ready?" Peter whispered from the other side of the door, not really wanting to wake his aunt anytime soon, mainly because he cares for her and wants her to have her good night sleep, but also Because If she woke up she'd see the text y/n's parents sent to her about not letting them sleep on the same bed, and no one wants that, right?

"Yeah You can come in" y/n replied, folding her clothes as she searched for the toothbrush her boyfriend gave her.

"Hey" Peter smiled, his voice barely a whisper. He couldn't stop smiling, like. At. All. I mean why should he stop? He loved that he'll be holding his favorite girl while he's peacefully sleeping AND waking up to see her still in his arms.

"Hi" You smiled bashfully, at Peters dreamy gaze that was shamelessly for you and only you.

"Ready for bed?" He asked hugging you sideways as you were brushing your teeth. You nodded, washing your mouth from the toothpaste.

"Let's go" y/n held peters hand and walked to his room, Peter flopped on the bed, a little too loudly (But thankfully it didn't wake may up) causing you to laugh.

Y/n crawled into the bed laying beside Peter sighing in deep bliss. As Peter lied beside her, suddenly getting stiff. He didn't know what to do, should he hold you? Should he just leave you? He didn't know, and he definitely didn't want you to feel uncomfortable. So he was just..there. Lying on his back, arms in a straight line like he was a standing soldier, but lying down.

He sensed y/n shuffling to the side, the side away from him to be exact. And at that moment he thought he messed up. But before he could turn the other way around and start over thinking, he felt a hand on his arm.

"C'mere" y/n said, stopping him midway from turning around. You gestured for him to come closer coz you knew your boyfriend, you knew how easily flustered he gets by touching you or by doing any form of affection towards you. So you guided his arms so it can hold you securely around your waist and tangled your legs between his.

Peter smiled at the thought of you wanting him to touch you. even after all those months of telling him it was okay, he was still shy and nervous about it, so he kissed your shoulder as a way of saying 'thank you' and nuzzled his head on the crook of your neck, peppering with even more kisses.

"Hey Pete"

"Yeah" he whispered

"Why's hopper your favorite character?" She turned her body around so she can see him, patiently waiting for an answer that she possibly already knew.

"Well uh, hop sort of, reminded me of Ben? I mean, he was new to parenting and he wasn't great at it at first but he loved el, he was her father figure and their relationship reminded me of my uncle and I's. So when I saw how el was literally sobbing I- I felt it, I knew that feeling and it just, I don't know.." Peter sniffled. his voice was low, and sad but he smiled nonetheless silently telling y/n that he's fine.

"Oh Peter" y/n's hands went straight to the back of his head, comfortingly massaging his scalp as she hugged him close. "I'm so sorry" she looked up at him, gently drying his tears. At that moment Peter knew he loved her. They couldn't stop staring at eachother with adoration and most definitely love. They didn't even have to say it, coz it was like it was written on their faces.

"I love you" he smiled, not nervous at all for confessing tothe girl infront of him his love for her. The words came out effortlessly and perfectly. He grateful that he had someone, who truly cares for him and won't leave him any time soon, how does he knew you may ask? Well, he just knows.

"I love you, more" she kissed his knuckles the pecked his lips. Her smile never leaving anytime soon. Yup this is love, this is how it feels to love someone. Y/n nuzzled her head on the crook of his neck and closed her eyes, for real this time, in bliss and happiness. Finally after today's rollercoaster of emotions and confessions, she was happy to be in her lovers arms.
