Quick Pick: Messages From Your Person

Hello, my loves! It's been way too long, but I'm finally back (hopefully for a long time) with a new reading as well as a bit of a rebrand. Today's reading is focused on messages from your person (kind of in the realm of a future spouse but generally a long-term partner) but I think for some of you it may come across as a current partner as well.

This is a pretty experimental reading for me. I want to start including an 'energy check' of sorts to help you better figure out if a pile is for you or not. I've done 'channelled' messages before but I felt weird about them so I've decided to give it a try again. The message aspect of this reading is just a free-flow writing of the cards that were pulled. And of course, I decided to play around a little bit more with my graphics. I'm always open to feedback, so I'd love to gather your thoughts on the set-up and reading itself.

Note: Pile 1 your pile gave me absolute hell the first time around 😭. I was writing/channelling the message and the energy literally just gave way at one point, I was flabbergasted 🫨. Anyway, the second pull was much clearer, but I included notes I felt were important from the first pull in the post-reading notes section.

Your Energy:

Going through an awakening. A need or call for self-reflection. A new cycle is beginning. You must face what you are running from within, but you must also be patient. Rely on your inner strength. Needing to learn more about yourself before doing/trying something different. Potentially finding yourself in part of a mentorship. Connecting with people similar to yourself. Navigating regrets. Needing to let go of the old you. Needing to ground yourself.  A strong energy of needing to look within yourself. It is time to prepare yourself for your next journey.

The Message:

Can you let the past go? We’ve been through so much, the both of us, on our own and together. Why do you hold on to it when our future is waiting for us? I know I hurt you and I apologize. You didn’t deserve any of the pain I caused you. I don’t blame you [it felt like there was a specific reason but I couldn’t get the specifics] but I feel lost without you. I could tell you why, I want to, but words mean nothing without action. You know my story. My relationship with my mother, how that shaped me. You know I love the attention of it all, having everyone’s eyes on me. Makes me feel good.. makes me feel. But no one else’s attention mattered like yours did. I felt most close to myself with you. Please, please let go of that version of me you’re holding onto in your head. I’m taking space because I need to heal. I need to heal my relationship with me first before I can heal it with us. This isn’t goodbye; just so long for now. I’m taking time to put that me in the past too and find myself and what I want from this life. I mean it’s simple really, I want you, us. I want to give you the good life you deserve, but I need to fix myself first. Give me the self-love I deserve.

Post-Reading Notes:

There’s a mature, sad regretful energy. Someone on a journey of self-exploration. Two hurting souls who met at the wrong time. One of you may be further along in your healing journey or you’ve both healed parts of yourself and your relationship that the other one hasn’t healed yet.

First Pull Notes:

One of the first things that came to mind for me is a dark night of the soul… I haven’t heard that term in so long and I’ve completely forgotten what it means, but for someone in this pile, I feel like that may resonate a lot. Going through a tough time. Blow after blow. Your higher self or inner wisdom is trying to reach you. Introspection before a new beginning. An ending of something you don’t want to let go of?

Big things are happening in your life, and significant changes are taking place even though it might not seem that way right now. Lots of air energy. Gaining mental clarity is super important for you right now. Breakup vibes? You two are like opposite sides or motivations of the same energy. Holding on when you know you should let go. This is definitely your person (one of the cards literally says ‘You’re my person’).

PILE 2

Your Energy:

For some of you are at the end of suffering but lying to yourself about the truth of the outcome, while for others you’re running from the mistakes made along the way. Maybe it's both. You’re still grieving all that is lost, be gentle with yourself. Hard work and consistency may await you but keep at it. Adventure is closer than you think. You’re on the brink of success. Moving forward hurts, but you must. Your person (or something you've been romanticising) is waiting for you. You just have to be brave enough to step through the gate. Opportunities are coming your way. If you're interested in floral hobbies or embroidery go for it.

The Message:

I hear you. I haven’t given up on you. I hear the songs you play for me, I hear the songs of your heart. You’re my love, my soulmate. We were meant to be, you and me. You’re not crazy or insane, or any other term you demean yourself with. You’re my everything. I can feel your soul even though we’re apart. If I close my eyes hard enough, I can feel you there. I can see your sparkling soul mirroring mine... sad eyes, bright smile, you leave me in awe. I know you call to me, and I’m sorry I’m not there. Don’t hate me for it, please. I’m leaving behind all that has been holding me back… the same as you. I’m sorry it’s so lonely. I want to meet. What do you say? Impromptu trip to the tropics? Somewhere cold? I just want to escape the world with you and lie in your arms. You’re my home. I sit in your energy and let it guide me your way. But I do need time. Please be patient with me. I haven’t abandoned you. I’m finding me, for you. I dream about you so often and being the kind of person you’d inspire me to be.

Post-Reading Notes:

"I need you to run to me, run to me, lover." (Run by Hozier, the chorus specifically. I know the song is supposed to be a metaphor but I'm suggesting it at face value). A very healing energy to your person's messages. Your person could also fantasise about you a lot... in a non-x-rated 18+ kind of way. It was mentioned on one of the cards but that part of the card felt awkward in the rest of the cards. They’re possessive, it doesn't seem like in a negative or extreme way but again, that's not something that was strong or clear. There’s something to do with the attention of others. They just want to be yours completely… Honestly, a submissive yet dominant kind of energy. A protector and/or provider (take that as you will) who is absolutely smitten with you and will do anything you say.

I don't typically read for it, but one of the cards had twin flame written on it. It could also be symbolic of mirroring each other in your personal journeys in life.

PILE 3

Your Energy:

Powerful yet solitary energy. A new chapter of your life. Accomplishing a big goal. Moving to a new location. Creating a good foundation for yourself in preparation for what comes next. Balancing your energies. Sleep issues. Struggling with anxiety or managing thoughts after a traumatic event. Celebration. Having security. Authoritarian role or vibes.

The Message:

Okay, I can do this: I can’t get you off of my mind. I’m constantly thinking of you, viewing your content, trying to set myself up to run into you. I know it’s silly, especially since you hurt me. Who pines after the person that hurt them? Well, it wasn't meant to be mean. You’re just so mysterious I can’t ever read you and it or you make me nervous. I’m always worrying about what to say. I want to talk to you but opening up to others is hard. I’m afraid I’ll start crying or you’ll hear my voice crack. You’re my person. I’m sure of it. You’re everything I’ve hoped for in a person, everything I dream about before I go to sleep at night. You’re doing so well for yourself, but I want to spoil you and be there for you. Not always materially. I know you can cover that for yourself. But being there for you and spending time with you… I heard you were seeing someone. I hope it’s not true and even if it is, I hope it doesn't last. No, I’m not sorry. I’m going to work up the courage to reach out to you soon.

Post-Reading Notes:

Oh Pile 3, you’re so intimidating to your person. Secret admirer vibes. I definitely think you’ve got a very serious or professional energy and an intimidating appearance. That may especially be true if you’re taller than average for your demographic/s. The energies here feel very balanced or neutral (not heavily feminine or masculine) on both your end and theirs.

PILE 4

Your Energy:

Such a beautiful light-hearted energy. There’s such a beautiful and hopeful energy in this relationship here but it’s also possible someone or something is working against you right now. A very important decision is being made. Someone could be trying to take something from you, but keep going. You’ve got this incredible power/energy to you. Vows are super important, be it making them with someone else or making a vow to yourself to gain or achieve something. Collaboration. Having everything you need to succeed. There could be challengers coming your way but you're strong enough to overcome them.

The Message:

I’m sorry. I don’t know, that was immature of me. I swear it wasn’t like you thought but don’t worry I’m going to do better. Honest. You know, I dream about us being together and growing old. I dream about our kids. They’re so stinking cute. We’ve still got growing to do, ok, or I’ve still got growing to do. Please talk to me. You know I hate it when you give me the silent treatment. I know I disappeared on you and that wasn’t cool. I just get so… I care about you a lot. I don’t want to see you hurt. I want the best for you. I know I act all big and bad but I’m a softie at heart. That fight was weird. I don’t like it. It wasn’t like us. It meant nothing I know. Would you pack up and run away with me if I asked? I hate the distance between us right now. Im always listening to our playlist. I know I acted like I'm uninterested in something serious but I am. I want you. I miss you. I want to spoil you and give you everything you deserve. Just give me a chance. Please hear me out.

Post-Reading Notes:

The vibes while doing the reading felt like very young vibes? There’s a youthfulness there. Someone who either is actually young in age or hasn’t grown up emotionally in a certain aspect. It felt like they did something prideful that was hurtful to you and you two are in a disconnect during the moment captured in the reading. It didn’t feel like a serious fight. More so when you’re upset with someone and acting like you’re madder than you really are (your vibes) and the other person is sweating and begging you to talk to them again (their vibes).

Also, idk why but Peter Parker kept coming into my head 🕸️. I’m not feeling to analyse it so take it as you will.

BRF Reading - 2nd of February, 2024

This is speculation only

Cards drawn on the 2nd of February, 2024

Question: Will Harry be moved from the royal family website in the next three months?

Interpretation: At his point, it looks likely

Card One: The Three of Swords.

This is a card of pain, heartbreak, despair. suffering. There is a lot of pain in the future. This could happen in various ways - Harry could do something that is even worse than he has already done, it could hurt King Charles to take him off the website, Harry could feel hurt at being removed from the website. Any or all of the above are possible. I'm not getting any sense of who this pain is from or who feels it, the energy is simply of pain and heartbreak in the not-to-distant future.

Clarifier: The Eight of Cups. This is a card of walking away from a situation that causes you pain/grief/suffering. It is also one of my death cards, as it shows a descent into the underworld.

I think that after his procedure, King Charles will find that he hasn't got the strength to deal with Harry and Meghan, and he walks away from the situation, either by handing it over to Prince William to deal with or by doing whatever his advisors/his wife thinks is best - a 'tell me what to do and I will do it' attitude. The pain of dealing with his errant son is going to be too much for him to cope with, so he is going to respond by abandoning his responsibility and walking away. He will let other people deal with the matter.

Card Two: The Page of Pentacles.

This is the card of an earth sign child, and/or a message about money/status/material things, and it is also my card for the UK as a country. There are two energies from this card. The first is that of the will of the people in the UK, who want Harry off the website and stripped of his titles. This is a pressure that is on King Charles and I believe he is aware of it. The second energy is that of a message being sent with an Earth sign child, Harry is the earth sign child, so either he sends a message to his father and is taken off the website as a result, or he is taken off the website as a warning to him over his behaviour.

Clarifier: The Wheel of Fortune in reverse. This is an indication that someone's fortunes are going to take a downwards turn. I believe that this applies to Harry, that his reputation is going to decline even further, and part of that could very well be his removal from the website.

Card Three: The Lovers

The Lovers is a card about choices, particularly choices in relationships and partnerships, especially romantic relationships. It is upright, so this is not about a split in relationships.

The energy coming through here is that of choices. Someone is going to have to make a choice; they can't continue to try and balance things. I think that Harry is going to have to choose between his wife and his status as a prince of the UK, and King Charles is going to have to choose between his care for his son and the demands of his role as monarch, i.e. protecting the BRF and possibly the UK from further reputational harm.

The Lovers is the card of Gemini, and Gemini is a duality. Again, this says to me a choice between two things - Harry/King Charles can no longer go on having both things at once, a decision has to be made to draw closer to one and further away from the other.

Depending on what choices Harry and King Charles make, there is a slim possibility of a reconciliation and Harry being back on the website, or never removed from it at all.

Clarifier: The Queen of Cups in reverse.

This is the card for Cancer, and we have three Cancerians in the BRF - Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Prince George. The Queen of Cups can be the card of the mother, and Princess Diana was also a Cancerian.

The energy of this card is that something is going to happen that centres around one of the four people above, and it will be so bad that King Charles will have to make a choice - he will not be able to put it off any longer. I think it will be something around Princess Diana, but I am not 100% certain. I am getting Princess Diana energy from the card, so it could be her.

The other things that may happen is something about the Harkle children, as this is the card of the mother in reverse. Maybe Meghan will be proven not to be their mother, or something like that. That feels more like an energy that will feed into and overshadow this decision about the website, but not the main reason for it.

Underlying Energy: The Four of Swords

This is a card of rest, retreat, retirement from something. It is also a card of having a damaged reputation and retiring to lick your wounds. It can also be a death card. The three of swords in the main reading moves to the four of swords, the underlying energy.

The energy of this card is of retirement, which makes me think that Harry (and Meghan) are going to be 'retired' from the royal website, either because of the damage they have caused to the BRF, or because they do something so awful that it is impossible to keep them on the website, or both.

Conclusion:

The strongest energy from this reading is the first card, the Three of Swords. Unless something changes the energy flows, there is some sort of heartbreak coming up either for Harry, the BRF, or both in the next three months.

I have to mention here that there was quite a bit of death energy in this reading. The Three of Swords can be a death card, as can the Eight of Cups and the Four of Swords. I'm mot getting any warnings of a person dying, which means either it is not a person dying or I'm not allowed to receive advanced warning of a death. I do think that something will end, but I'm not sure what, and that ending might be Harry off the website or the catalyst for that action.

That Three of Swords heartbreak will be the catalyst for sending a message to Harry about his status, which could very well be his retirement from the royal website because of his damaged reputation. Depending on how The Lovers card plays out in real life, he will remain off the website or he will be restored to it.

The decision to remove Harry from the website or not is all about reputation - both his own and the damage he has caused the BRF.

Given the underlying energy, I think that Harry will be removed from the royal family website in the next three months.

The energy from this reading gets weaker as the cards progress. Underlying concern about Harry's reputation and the damage he is going to the BRF - yes. This concern fuelling discussion about removing Harry from the website - yes. Some sort of extreme nastiness and pain in the near future - definite yes. Paying attention to what the people want - maybe. Removing Harry from the website as a message to him over his status - this is a stronger maybe, very close to a yes. Keeping him off the website permanently - this is where things get wispy and unclear. I think that depends on how future events unfold.

WGA UPDATE: "Where We Are and Where We’re Going"

“Where We Are And Where We’re Going” June 2, 2023

Fellow members of the WGA, East and West, thank you for giving me a few minutes to update you on where we are and where we're going. Our strike against the companies of the AMPTP is now in its fifth week. We have walked together on picket lines for a month. With the acknowledgment that there is no letting up until we ultimately achieve the contract we deserve and that we need to survive in this business, I will say, we should all take a minute to appreciate what we've accomplished. We have been highly effective in inflicting pain on the companies by withholding our work, by picketing itself, publicly demonstrating our resolve, our endurance, our sometimes even joyful commitment to a joyless task, by bringing to our side a coalition of labor that this town has not seen in generations, by disrupting production in concert with those union allies who honor our lines, and by informing investors and advertisers of those disruptions.

Our message has power because it's true. We believe in it because we know it's true. But that only goes so far. What has real power, what moves people, what will move this town one day, is our belief in each other. So thank you, all of you. All our picket site coordinators, all our incredible captains, every single member who has spoken with their feet as well as their voice, who has stuck with both the letter and the spirit of the strike rules. Thank you to Guild staff, who have gone above and beyond and then beyond that. Thank you to the other Guilds and unions: the Teamsters, IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, the Musicians, the Electrical Workers, the Plasterers, the Laborers, the DGA, and everyone else who have sent a message to the companies with their solidarity.

What have the companies been doing in the meantime? Well, they've been putting out heartfelt statements from their executives that they truly hope the strike can be resolved quickly for everyone's benefit, which is weird. They hope? Aren't these their companies? Don't know where to find us? We are, after all, right outside their gates. They claim they don't have time for us, that they're busy. That's a lie, it's just a lie. They could talk to us if they wanted to. This is their strategy, such as it is. The same old strategy. But it's not going to work. If Carol Lombardini thinks negotiating with the DGA while we're out on strike is some kind of trump card, she's gonna find out that her 2007/8 playbook doesn't belong in a negotiating room, it belongs in a museum. Any deal that puts this town back to work runs straight through the WGA, and there is no way around us. We wish the DGA the best in their negotiations. That goes for SAG-AFTRA as well.

We are, as I said before, infinitely grateful to all their members who have marched with us every day. We are rooting hard for them to exercise their power and achieve the contract they deserve. They are hurting just like we are. They are at risk just like we are. SAG-AFTRA's SAV vote should send shivers down the companies' spine.

The month of June will bring us all some answers. By the time it's over, the companies may find themselves embattled on more than one front, or we alone may be without a contract. And either way, we will fight on with this understanding: We are girded by an alliance with our sister guilds and unions, they give us strength, but we are strong enough. We have always been strong enough to get the deal we need using writer power alone. We were strong enough in 2007/8, we were strong enough during the agency campaign, we are strong enough now.

As David Goodman and I have said from the very beginning, the single thing that will determine whether we succeed or fail in this strike is our endurance, both physical and emotional. I have no doubt about that endurance. Writers' strength of character aside, the companies have made us strong. They have taught us, however painfully, to withstand months and months without work. Their abuse of us has made it untenable to rush back to jobs that may not even be there in a year or two in a career where even success is financially unsustainable. But even as we endure, there will be challenges, it will be painful. Uncertainty is painful. Is there any one of us who doesn't wake up feeling the weight of this every day? I don't think so. Having no income in a tenuous job market is painful, there's help for that, of course, through the Strike Fund and the Good and Welfare Fund and the Entertainment Community Fund, but none of that is the same as having a job, and everyone understands that.

We will need to steel ourselves against arguments whispered in our ears designed to weaken our resolve, to distrust each other. I'm gonna say them out loud again because it's better to talk about them than to ignore them. The first is that the Guild is just waiting for the AMPTP to decide when negotiations begin again. We are negotiating now. Every day, we are negotiating. We are making the only argument the companies can hear, the argument of power. We are withholding our work, disrupting productions, talking to Wall Street, to City Hall, Sacramento, and Washington D.C. We are bringing allies to our cause. This is the work. This is the leverage. It is the same in any strike, and it will take time. But if we believe the central truth of our cause, that it all starts with writing and that nothing happens without it, then we have to trust that truth and stay the course.

Related, of course, is the lie that the companies are impervious to all of this. Every day, the cost of not negotiating with us adds up. And it's not just from the shutdowns that get all the attention, it's the shows that will shoot until they run out of scripts and then stop dead, the shows that will finish shooting and grind to a halt in post, it's the fall broadcast season that day by day will begin to slip away. It's the pain that for others will come later but will come. Because subscribers don't pay for platforms with meager product and advertisers just don't pay for shows with meager audiences.

So all the silent CEOs lounging on their summer yachts, leaving it all to Carol and the AMPTP, will have some explaining to do once it becomes clear that we are not going anywhere. The parent companies of the broadcast networks as well as Sony will have to explain the strategy of risking those broadcast interests to the interests of tech companies who will still have products to air in the fall. They'll have to explain linking their fates to the fates of those same companies whose explicit intention is to eat them for breakfast, one at a time. They will have to explain their refusal to negotiate with us over business practices that are roughly in line with how they have done business for decades. Even those companies whose business is a half-and-half mix of streaming and linear programming, Disney, Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Paramount, but whose streaming businesses rely heavily on the content they make for network television, content that is about to dry up, will have to explain. Warner Discovery will have to explain why writers are a greater threat to them than Netflix and how, having dumped content and shut down development for the past year to pay for one man's merger, they intend to compete without scripted programming. Apple will have to explain how this little experiment in branding is working out for them and why, with their nearly $3 trillion in market capitalization, they refuse to even talk to writers over a $17 million ask a year. Why this company that became rich beyond measure from its creative brilliance refuses to allow writers just a fair share of ours.

As for Amazon, given the way they treat unions, maybe they think they don't have to explain anything. But this is a different town they're in now. Even Netflix, who alone among all these companies, has no other product but its programming and for whom subscription churn is a huge problem, whose quarterly results can be made or broken by the success of a single smash hit show, will have to explain. Because the hole in content is coming for them too. It may be coming later, but it's coming, and Wall Street will take note.

All of which is to say, hang on. We are doing what we set out to do, and it's having an impact even beyond the lives of writers. It began with every other Guild and union in this business who saw in our struggle a mirror of their own. What I'm telling you is that when you walk in circles in front of every studio in town, you are carrying with you a cause that is larger than just us and this business, though just us and this business would have been enough. We are marching for labor, and labor is watching us. We have, it turns out to our great fortune, something very precious. We have a strong union in a heavily unionized industry. We have what many workers in this country do not. If we succeed, we will make it easier, not easy, but easier, for others to succeed after us. If we falter, if we fail, if it is the companies' power that wins the day and not ours, then we will have failed for everyone. We will have made it harder for everyone.

And I mean that not as a burden but as a purpose. The signs we carry have messages written on them in invisible, visible ink, and all who labor can read them: that everyone who works has a right to be treated with dignity, that we are not diminished by the size of the company that employs us, that what we want is not just a gig, not just a job, but a career with a future and with promise, and that first among those promises is that if you do good work, you can make a life out of doing that thing. That technology driven only by unchecked capitalism and with no attention to its human costs and moral implications is a threat to us all. It must be controlled. It cannot be left only to those who would always rather make a dollar than a good decision. Hey folks! I am very tired and still pretty sick but! I know not how to rest if I am physically able to work soooo. Let's just blame my capricron sun. But now we present! HOMD chapter 10! This is, again, a joint effort with @mocheng-gusto!

Shen Yuan was reminded of this last unfortunate fact as he turned off his fifth alarm and read the notification to his most recent message.

Fuck. Shen Yuan had completely forgotten about that part.

Not about the lunch of course. Yesterday he had been psyching himself up to “meet the family”. He was nervous but not anxious as he was putting together the outfit Mei Kexin had specifically made him buy for this occasion.

And just then was when his package arrived.

Alright yes, he had to admit that after that all other thoughts had exited his brain like an emergency evacuation. But by then he was too out of it thinking of silicone heavenly pillars to do anything but the most mundane tasks to keep himself busy!

Nothing to do about that. Fortunately at some point in the past when he’d been more mindful he’d put enough alarms to make sure he’d wake up with plenty of time to get ready, so he had time for a thorough shower and a quick breakfast, but not for anything more.

He would’ve liked to go on a jog to free himself of any restless energy but… thinking about it, he didn’t think his body would be able to take the impact. 

His musings were interrupted by his phone pinging with two new messages.

Right.

That was the detail he hadn’t accounted for so far. Luo Binghe couldn’t come for quite obvious reasons, and it wasn’t like he had any desires to fess up that he was dating, married, to a mind construct, but he had other options. He’d disappoint his friend and her girlfriend no matter what, but Shen Yuan didn’t want to completely ruin their afternoon. 

Good thing he had a Plan B in mind. The problem was that he never informed his Plan B of his participation in this ruse.

No time like the present! Shen Yuan called Shang Qinghua as he was getting rid of all the gross beddings and towels.

The call was picked up on the third ring. “Bro?”

“Free food.” Best to start with his strongest cards. “I’m inviting you to lunch, with plenty of leftovers to bring home.”

Shang Qinghua was silent for a few seconds. “… Are you bribing me?”

Technically. “Are you coming or not?”

“Aww, no need to be so shy about it bro. If you were feeling lonely you could’ve just said so!” Sensing Shen Yuan’s silence as an impatient one, Shang Qinghua was quick to add. “But sure, why not.”

Shen Yuan discreetly let out a sigh of relief. “I’m sending a Didi to your place. You have twenty minutes to get yourself decent and finish whatever you’re doing.”

Shang Qinghua mumbled. “Every day you’re becoming more like your brother.”

“What did you just say?”

“Nothing! Just send me the info and I’ll be down when it arrives.”

“Alright. I’ll meet you there.” 

“Whe–” Shen Yuan hung up before he was able to get the full word out. He had a couple of cars to order and a cold shower waiting for him.

Shen Yuan, because the shopping center was actually closer to downtown due to the somewhat upscale nature of the place, got there first. Shang Qinghua wasn’t too far behind, climbing out of the didi with eyes and something like fear on his face. “Bro, what the fuck?”

“Wardrobe,” Shen Yuan said before grabbing his friend’s arm and pulling him in, putting the little strength he had worked to build to use. “Don’t worry; I’m paying.”

“No shit you’re paying!” Shang Qinghua hissed. “I can’t afford to breathe in here. What the actual fuck is going on? Are you becoming my sugar daddy? Platonic, of course; love you but not like that, bro.”

“Tch, you wish. Besides, I’m straight. I’m just paying for stuff today so don’t question it.”

“What kind of lunch are we going to that apparently requires shopping?!” Shang Qinghua asked quietly, eyes darting from side to side as if a nervous herbivore. Shen Yuan locked eyes with a sales associate in the men’s section and, spotting a sale, the person discretely hurried towards them. “Oh, my God, are you taking me to lunch with your family!? Is Shen Jiu going to be there!?! Bro, I’m noping out of the free food offer if that’s the–”

“No, it’s not with my family, sheesh,” Shen Yuan said through clenched teeth before smiling at the sales associate. In a much more polite tone, he addressed them with, “Hi. My friend here needs appropriate semi-casual attire for brunch. We have a rather immediate deadline and would appreciate your assistance.”

“Of course, sir. If sir could please follow me…” Shang Qinghua was too polite to his fellow service worker to resist their urging, but he did throw Shen Yuan a dirty look as he left him alone. He watched from a distance to be sure that Shang Qinghua didn’t pick anything out that was ridiculous but otherwise left him to it, helpfully avoiding the questions his friend had about this ‘lunch’.

He would find out soon enough as it was.

Strength, ace of cups, the moon

Jimin is also on the right path to his fs, the strength card is a beautiful card to have here because I do genuinely associate Jimin with this card. Jimin needs to continue to work on mastering his inner and raw emotions. Figuring out how he feels deep down about different situations and figuring out if that’s the right way to go about life or if he needs to adjust his thinking and understanding. There is a note of self-mastery here and the thing that Jimin needs to master is really himself which he has been doing over the past few years. This journey started a very long time ago. I feel like Jimin needs to continue to explore creative paths and listen to his intuition. If there was a piece of advice I would give Jimin is to be more open to new opportunities and to not put some much pressure on the outcome of these opportunities - if he wants to do something he should just go for it and give it a go. The whole path may not be illuminated but it doesn’t need to be. This will be important because when Jimin finally meets his fs, there may be a lot of uncertainty but he will need to just take the chance. He should continue to be grateful for the things that he has as he always has and also work on his spiritual energy a bit more. There; 's still a long road to go for Jimin though. The moon is not a quick card, and there may be some illusions, and confusion before arriving at the destination.

There is a lot of struggle in the fs’ path towards Jimin. There is an absence of direction within this person’s energy but also a need to run away and get out there. They are spending too much energy on things that don’t matter in the long term and they are getting distracted because they are uncomfortable. Jimin’s fs is being called to get out of their comfort zone. I feel like for a lot of you it’s about work or school. These Hanged Man and Two of Pentacles, both in reverse, talk about multitasking, draining your energy on some minor things or putting too much attention to one area of life, leaving almost no time for other things. Try to better organize your time or think about smaller or bigger goals you have, and keep them in mind. Take some time for yourself and establish your priorities. Probably it’s good for you to put some thought into your finances.

As much as the beginning of the September looks not the best, the last card, Seven of Pentacles, shows that you will draw conclusions from it. It’s an invitation to look at the bigger picture and set your goals in a long-term perspective. It can be irritating because it will take time, probably more than you want to, but the patience is needed. For some of you, you can achieve something at the end of September. The character on the card looks kinda like a scholar to me, and he reaps the fruits of his labor.

Woah, a lot of Major Arcanas, some important stuff will happen. While the first pile is about setting goals and plans, this one kinda looks like the next stage of it. September probably will be for you the time of harvest, a culmination of your efforts, when the hard work will pay off. Death is about transformation, ending cycles, big changes. It came to my mind that, for some of you, a big work project can come to an end. Whatever it is, some big phase in your life will end. It can be overwhelming and make you feel worse. It’s temporary, and the reversed Sun encourages you to have some fun, take care of your inner child. Alternatively, your last success could make you overly optimistic and over-confident, and you will need to come down to earth.

Not gonna lie, Strength is one of my favorite cards and I’m always happy when I see it. This card isn’t really about the physical strength, but the inner one, bravery and intelligence. Whatever the obstacle, you can overcome it. It’s about understanding your emotions and dealing with them in the mature way. Side note, but after looking at the card I feel like this major change from before can be about your relation with your body, being more confident in it. It’s rather specific, but I get the feeling like some of you will decide wearing bra is not for you.

Cards: Four of Pentacles, The High Priestess (R), Two of Cups

Back of the deck: Ace of Swords

A pretty balanced pile, we only miss here a card of Wands, which can mean that something from them is lacking, so let’s see what Wands symbolize. They’re related to growth, inspiration, ambition and also what is fundamental to you, spirituality. And when I look at the reversed High Priestess, it’s clear for me why Wands are not here. But let’s start from the beginning.

Four of Pentacles is all about savings, the feeling of security. Just remember to not change it into stinginess or possessiveness, balance is always needed in terms of money. The card shows a big tree, and just as a tree needs time to grow, you have definitely worked for a longer time to save. If you struggled with money earlier, they shouldn’t be such a problem in September.

Remember how I wrote about Wands being about spirituality and what is fundamental? The High Priestess also is about that, it’s your inner voice and here the card is in reverse, which can mean you’ll be disconnected from your intuition and gut feelings. There’s also a chance that you will experience some dishonesty or gossip. Be honest with yourself and other people. Instead of making assumptions, talk with others about your worries. It will probably result in some good relationships. Look at the last card: Two of Cups is about a nice, meaningful relationship with other person. A friend, love interest or lover, maybe business partner? Whatever the case, this card is a sign of close bonds and mutual respect.

At first I was kinda confused what is the theme of your September, but now I feel like it’s empowerment. Ace of Swords is a very positive card. Just as all aces, it’s a new beginning. In September, you’ll gain clarity and new ideas, you will experience some breakthrough. Since we had cards related to finances, your inner world and relationships, Ace of Swords at the back of the deck means improving your life in these areas, and being more true to you. You have the most based takes on the Soul Eater series ever dude. The catharsis I felt when someone described exactly why I was irked with the ending, Maka's characterization later down the line, and several other plot points was amazing.

Ever since you mentioned how compelling the theme of bravery and fear is in the anime ending I've been thinking about it nonstop. I feel like bravery could also tie in with Maka's characterization in the manga with Soul and Spirit, in which she gains the courage to put trust in them (Soul in not abandoning her no matter what and Spirit in wielding him as a weapon confidently despite her grievances with him). Additionally, I feel it would've been an amazing payoff if she also INSPIRES courage to others, especially Crona.

Black*Star wanted to transcend the gods, so what bars Crona from having the courage to want a better life and free themself in the manga ending? Of course, they will face consequences, but that shouldn't stop them from wanting to be happy.

Going from your point in your previous post of how the climax of the story doesn't hinge on Soul much: Perhaps by Maka inspiring courage in Soul with his issues, he will in turn help her in inspiring courage in Crona to fight back. Hell, why not get the others to join in? While kinda corny, it ties into how friendship and camaraderie can help get someone out of a dark place (I'm kinda imagining it like the Homulily fight in Madoka Magica rebellion).

Whilst I'm here, could I ask for your thoughts on Maka's mom? Personally, I think she was very underutilized as a character but I'm curious as to your thoughts on her.

Also, do you think the phrase "A sound soul dwells within a sound mind and a sound body" that's constantly repeated in the anime ties into any major revelations? I think it would've been a perfect callback for the anime but I don't recall having an "aha!" moment about it.

Having characters who never appear and yet define other characters is a very tricky business, and frankly i think Maka's mom is not handled well in the manga, but the anime staff gave it a shot of making something worthwhile out of her, and the similiarities and contrast between her and maka. It wasnt perfect, but at least it's something.

In regards to Maka's mom, i think the best course with her would be to confront the fact she'a probably not coming back head on sometime after the sand pit with crona, maybe have her and crona have a chat between doors, and the topic come up, and go from there.

Im actually going to have a post sorta going over this later, but the gist of it is that the postcard and the meaning behind it(that for all their differences and the fact maka does not understand her) Maka still loved her mom, and was able to draw strength from it, and their connection in spite of everything.

This moment could have been so much more impactful though, if you inserted Maka having some harsh truth realization about her mom... And then still have her send that card, and so have Maka's agonising over what it means be much more impactful and full of drama, and the realisation of the fact that even if she is never gonna see her again(and that maka sorta resents her for it), she still loves her mom. Having her accept the fact that she does not understand the message, and her mom's thoughts with it, but that in the end, it didnt matter, because what matters, was what maka took away from it.

That would have made it being framed so importantly in the ending credits worth it, and subsequently have Maka's mom be a much better character by fully exploring the broken aftermath of her and spirits divorce.

I actually think the motto is bunk, and thematically speaking, its this kind of thinking that created asura. "A sound soul resides in a sound mind in a sound body" is a motto that demands perfection, and if there is something Soul eater makes clear, its that perfection is mot aomething to strive for.

Chasing excelence in spite of flaws that often cannot be overcome is at the core of soul eater's themes. Maka, Soul, Liz, Patty, black star , are certainly not people who fit all these 3 catagories all at once.

In fact both of Maka's quotes to Asura at the end is about the opposite. The world is not perfect, and thats okay... So long as we have courage, we'll live in it despite all our flaws anyeay.

It does absolutely seem like something Shinigami-Sama would teach at his school though, cause this is asbolutely something that the personification of order would have as a motto.

Alr so to start off, *8 of Pentacles* - This is telling us about his work ethic, pentacles is associated with being earthly and material. it's telling us he's accumulating quite a lot of wealth and is getting down to business with a lot of diligent practice, honing his skills as best as he can! I asked how he feels about his career and got *Queen of Swords Reversed* - The Queen Reversed is known for her cruelty and insight whilst wands indicate passion and willpower. He has the desire to perform and has a lot of passion for it, he adores the stage. However, he knows how the industry is, he knows he has a lot of competition and that makes him feel the need to put up a bit of a persona on camera. How I Moved Out of My Toxic Parents Home With my sister At 19 & 21.

fist thing I want to say is this was not easy. it took a lot of planning, a lot of saving, a lot of tears and strength but I was able to do this because I planned everything out strategically.

I know a lot of people struggle with toxic parents, family members and home environments. this post is for those people. you're not alone, your stronger than you think and be patient and plan everything out quietly until you're ready to leave.

plan where youre going to go. this is really important. whether you plan on staying with a friend or up and leaving to a different state/area. plan that first. once you've decided on a place, start making rough calculations on how much it'll cost to live there (rent, expenses, commute)

Build your credit. this is one step that a lot of people do not mention. it is difficult to get approved for an apartment to really anything with out a good credit score. my sister and I did research on the best way to go about building our credit and we ultimately got credit cards and made sure to use them smartly (only when buying gas, snacks or small things) that way we were building our credit slowly but not accumulating debt that we couldn't pay off. Everything we spent on our credit card we paid off before it was due.

Save money. this is obvious, but what a lot of people do not hear often is you need to save ALOT. like ALOT. I know you don't wanna hear it but it will be incredibly difficult to leave and start a new life with $2000-3000 dollars alone. in some places that's not even 2 months of rent. Save almost everything you make and get. aside from bills and necessities, live below your means. Shoot to save at LEAST $10,000. You have a better chance stability this way. My sister and I saved $25,000 before leaving (before we even planned to, mind you.)

Live below your means for the time being. this can be so difficult especially in this day and age where we all want to feel like we are living luxurious lives. but think about the sacrifice. you're sacrificing getting your nails, lashes and stuff done so you can escape a toxic environment. when I was saving up to leave home I would tell myself "save now, so you can enjoy later. id rather not have my lashes done now so that I can leave this toxic household first. once I leave, I can get my lashes done all I want and enjoy it and feel good too!"

Slowly collect all your documents, records & certificates. This one was really important for my sister an I. we grew up in an incredibly toxic foreign household where my parents would stash our social security cards, medical documents, passports, diplomas and certificates. we slowly started to ask for those documents saying we needed them for school or work and "forgetting" to return them. If you're unable to physically get these documents, snap a picture and save it! this goes a long way as well!

These are just a few things I think are the most important out of all the things My sister and I did to prepare leaving out toxic household. Mind you, we planned this for about a year before moving, we saved up for about and year and built our credit up in a year. this was defiantly a lot easier because it was two of us, it will be a more difficult if you're doing to on your own but its not impossible!
