A huge part of the reason Big the cat is so torn apart by people who arent Sonic fans and who ARE Sonic fans is because Big is, intentionally or not, extremely autistic-coded. And because he's fat. I'm not kidding

#Tat talks #Big the cat #he speaks slowly and simply and it can be difficult to get him to answer a question if you don't ask him in a specific way #he also doesnt speak much unless either prompted or when speaking to/about his Froggy #his special interest is fishing and its one of the only things he ever actively seeks out #he is so autistic. hes so autistic #and it makes him an easy target! yeah the fishing minigame in SA1 did suck bc it was frustrating as all hell #so he definitely gets shamed for that heavily as any character with a shitty minigame would #but if you ever see somebody mock him as a character its just making fun of the class [r slur]
