Chapter One: I Need You

Ashayaa and Yosef recently fought due to Yosef's insecurities, which caused a heated argument between them. The argument was so bad that Ashayaa blocked him on all communication channels, but Yosef was persistent and kept trying to reach out to her. In an attempt to make up for his mistake, Yosef decided to take Ashayaa to her favorite restaurant in San My. Let's see how their date went.

When I first entered simblr, I didnt know what to expect. I was shy, didn't know how to word my posts, how to post them right, didnt know how to interact properly with others. Now, this app is basically a comforting space. People always sharing their ideas, their edits, their cc's, their gameplays, their legacies, their cas shots, their builds.

I came here because I was reading a sim story! And it inspired me to post my own things. And throughout those years I found so many nice accounts that now my notifications are always full with you. I have my notifications on because I would hate to miss your things.

I made friends here. I discovered joy in these game again. I never have ever loved my sims more than I love them now, because people have told me they love them too. I got attached to pixel people that arent even mine, because I see them through your eyes. I have your sims in my game as if we are playing together.

Simblr have brought me so much joy, and I love every single one of you who interact, who leave likes, who reblogs, who just read my things. I love every single one of your sims, of your builds, of your text/personal posts, of your saves, of your thoughts.

WELLLLLL The last weeks have been a mess and a half. Don't want to get into it. It's probably going to stay messy for a while. whomp whopm :/

Onto what's been happenings. I missed last week, so here's a recap of what I did on that 3rd week of January:

I made a new Zine (CTRL+SHIFT+ZUT+ALORS), with the vibes of lost content/games and weird programs. The Zine is downloadable in both French and English. Also, you can use it as a prompt if you want!

I was working on my Recipe Jam entry (but didn't finish because I kept fighting Adventuron and all the conditional statements...).

Also continued to review a bunch of games (see @manonamora-if-reviews).

And here what happened this week:

I finished my entry to the Recipe Jam: Not Another Sad Meal - a short cooking sim parser (easy! with walkthrough and help!)

I've also done a couple of fixes for the Sugarcube Guide (mainly typo + new indexes)

Also done a mini-fix for Meeting the Parents

Continued to play and review a shit ton of games (got the 3rd place on the Reviewer board, need about 100 reviews to get to the next one...)

A longer note on Harcourt:

I've been going at the coding of the file this week, and I think I cleared at least 1/5th of the file (I've mainly done the easy passages). The maze was insanely long to write and edit... it is now a pain to code. Will people actually see all the written text? probably not. I may have the untested and unformatted version done in a week or two.

Writing wise, MelS is finishing the 2nd ending path for Chapter 6 (it's a bummer one, I've already cried yall...). And he has 2 more ending paths to write before moving to the editing bit.

We're seeing the end with this...

Some other neat things:

An Eggcellent Preparation got 3rd place for Best Puzzle-Focused Game at the IF Short Game Showcase !! I really wasn't expecting that at all!!!

(not so) strangers in the dark won 1st place for Best Use of Songs at the Shufflecomp! my laziness paid off!

Let's talk IF Events:

The Queer Vampire Game Jam ends in about three weeks. Got a vampire/human story with a LGBT+ cast? Then this is the event for you! (unranked)

Obviously @neointeractives got you covered for Valentine's with the Smoochie Jam: it's all about kisses, love and romance (unranked) - The next Neo-Interactives mini-jam will happen mid-March.

The SeedComp! (Sprouting) ends at the end of February. Come transform someone's idea or asset into a new IF game! See @seedcomp-if for more info ;) (ranked)

So yall with For Rent coming out soon, how would we feel about me making a new member of the Landgraab family to play with the new pack with? I was surprised to hear there's apparently no Landgraabs coming with the pack - especially considering the smore lore we had in the last behind the sims stream - and I'd love to kind of tell a story(ish) through gameplay of this Landgraab going off and doing her own thing like Johnny Zest did bc she didn't wanna join the shady family business. Would you guys wanna see that?

How long have you been playing the sims?

Hmm i think since 2015 or so, I started out with ts2 bc my brother bought a pirated version at some local booth and then later progressed to ts4 in 2018 (i think 🤔) the ts2 playing days were quite short bc my bro in the same way bought ts3... funny thing both me and my mom were skeptical abt the sims bc of the way it was marketed but yall can guess what happened ahahahaha 😅🙈

How long you’ve been a simblr, and why did you become one?

I've been on here since April 2020. I became a simblr bc my dear mom wanted to have a simblr togerther to make cc, and then we made separate blogs and as you know, neither of us make cc (at least not regularly) ahaha

What type of simblr are you?

A dead one 🤣🤡 Jk tho I love making edits/renders, even tho I'm super lazy so I never get around to doing them 🙈 I'd also like to do some gameplay stuff in the future, that is if I get back into the game :')

Which generation of Sims do you generally play?

I only have ts4 on my laptop, so that is all I play 🙈

2020 Simblr Goals

I decided to include my goals from last year to compare my accomplishments

Have the courage to make at least 2 pieces of cc. I don’t know but it’s been on my mind and I have a few ideas ^^  I made 15!!

Post some of my gameplay edits. It’ll be just random stuff every now and then since I’ll be getting back into playing the game. But don’t expect full on story telling I’m not that creative xc They were random for sure

To keep having fun just being me and maybe stray a little bit from the makeup lookbooks to try new things I haven’t seen done because we love inconsistency :) DBD? OOTD? Yup a lot of lookbooks this year

Become close with the friends I have!! That’s major!! Like I notice yall all the time but maybe get personal? *queue music*  okay no no jk (I’m really just a meme lol) not too personal but at least check in with each other for sure or go on raids lol ^^ Still working on that but it takes time 

Start making cc at least 3-5 weeks in advance

Not wait til the last minute to fix my queue and add tags

Start a legacy I can keep up with

Make a pair of earrings

Open sim requests more

Try recoloring

Make a tattoo collection

Try out reshade

Do more editing challenges

There’s a lot of other things I want to do now that I didn’t include because It was just make this post even longer. I’ve gotten a feel for how I want my blog to be now and I think I’m ready to see how it continues to grow from here c:
