Over the last decade I tried to cultivate my tastes to finer food - nothing too fancy, just trying to stay away from overly processed food and fast food chains.

But y‘all…

I am CRAVING canned tamales. I know it’s a crime against Mexican cuisine but it’s up there with pop tarts and instant ramen for me. I decided to see if I could buy some here and I didn’t see any in the supermarket so checked online.

The cheapest I found was 1 can for 12.50€… or I could buy 12 for 150.00€.

And I am ashamed to say that for a good few seconds, I actually considered shelling out the money 🙈🙈🙈

One of the cable car stations in San Francisco still has Rice-A-Roni advertisements on its walls to this day.

It will always be astounding to me that Rice-a-Ronis (the weirdest bunch in Anne Rice's fandom) cannot comprehend the idea that you can acknowledge that the authors of your favorite books can be shitty people while still enjoying their work. Someone pointing out that she was a racist among other things isn't the same as someone telling you to burn all copies of her books and never enjoy them again.

Rice-a-Ronis tend to be grown ass adults too which makes it even more pathetic. How is it that they pat themselves on the backs for being so smart for reading such "advanced" books but don't understand one of the most basic fundamentals in media literacy and criticism?

I love the Chronos fight so much. I love it so much I almost regret having to periodically go fight Eris because it means giving the old man a break from Old Man Bullying Hour.

He said "watch this!" and I watched him fall over and pull out his bitch-ass second HP bar. I have fifty whole bottles of old man sand now.

Other favorite Chronos thing: he stopped showing up between Erebus and Oceanus after I started kicking his ass. LOSER.

Did you know that Anne rice, She never worked on the show. She's executive producer in name only. When she sold the rights to AMC, she had a vision of what she wanted the show to be, and her son wrote the pilot script. But then AMC rejected her vision and went in an entirely different direction, so she deleted all her posts off Facebook that said she was excited about the show, and never spoke of it again. Likewise, her son refuses to ever speak about it. They never touched the show after their pilot script was rejected. But the contract they signed with AMC when they sold the rights said that their names would be credited as Executive Producer on every show. So her name will always be there, or else AMC is in breach of contract.

I LOVE chili. Unfortunately, nobody would ever look at what I'm eating and recognize it as chili. I truly look like I'm eating rice-a-roni. Yes I still consider this chili.
