Thinking about Menelaus singing empty chairs and empty tables and getting very sad about it
#Especially in that part of the Odyssey where Telemachus visits him and Menelaus tells him of all his dead friends and his brother#and says that while Odysseus lives he's trapped indefinitely on an island and might as well be dead#And he talks about how he wished the war had never been waged and how he mourns deeply for Agamemnon#Which is really sad too cause the last words they shared was probably the argument before leaving troy
